Hey everyone, it's Aaron from Team Glock Flock. We just wanted to share with you guys a little moment that happened recently on a Glock and Fleck and Patreon hangout that we did with Dr. Preston Roche. Will and Kristen and Preston talked a bit about Preston's new podcast, and we just wanted to share with you guys a little of their conversation and the trailer. You can check out How to Be Patient wherever you get your podcasts.
And it's just a really special show that everyone on the Glockenflecken team has been working really hard on, and we couldn't be more proud of it. And we think you're going to like it too. Enjoy. Those of you who might not know Preston, he's been on our podcast recently, and he's got a great following. I came across Preston with his skit content. So he's another medical content creator, a psychiatry resident.
Uh, second year, right? Yeah. Second year. Yeah. Right. Seriously. So you, you know what you're doing now? You're, I mean, yeah.
halfway done almost. I act like I know what I'm doing. There you go. He acts like he knows what he's doing so well that we're just, we're putting him on a podcast. He's creating a podcast where he talks about psychiatry and life and everything. Um, basically we're, we were on the lookout for, for like good content created medical content creators. I love, uh, people who are doing, um, you know, good education and entertainment, uh,
I have a soft spot for people who like combine those really well. And as soon as I saw Preston's content on TikTok, I was like, yes, like this is this is the way to do like medical comedy. He's still, I think, to my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not thinking of anybody. Preston's still the only one that I have ever heard you say he's funny.
You're so picky about honey. I'm a bit picky. I have a very specific sense of humor. Even when Preston started to make content where we just listen to him talk as he makes coffee, that's fine too. It doesn't bother me too much. That's high praise from this one, let me tell you. See, you're already getting...
uh, some, some excitement and, and positive energy around your podcast. So thank you, Megan. I hope to see you there off to a good start here. Um, Megan likes your cats by the way. Thanks Megan. I like them too. They're, they're kind of like, they become characters in my skits, I think. Yeah. Or the other starts to become, um, more freaking characters in the pod. As you guys will see, we were learning. There's a whole narrative arc.
Put little headphones on them. The podcast to look forward to. Oh, really? Yeah. Okay. Well, and Rob wanted to film the trailer and I was like, can I just dance with my cats for the trailer? And he was like, there's got to be an audio component to it. There's got to be some kind of audio component to it.
Oh, okay. And we are sharing because we are, uh, well, one, cause we like him and it's a good podcast. Uh, and two, because we are executive producing this podcast. And so, uh, we believed in all of this so much that we wanted to help make it, um, come into the world. We wanted to press a baby with Preston. Exactly. Something like that. That was exactly how we pitched it to him too. And he was like all on board with it. Yeah. I'm, I'm,
Bit of an orphan child here. So the lot of fighting parents in the entertainment industry sounded nice. Kept. Well, we really appreciate you guys' support. Make sure you check out Preston's podcast while it launches. We should have you guys as a guest. I've got, we've got. We've got some neuroses for you to figure out. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. I think there's some fun things to talk about. We're bringing, we're talking with Lady Spine Doc about pain.
Okay. That's good. That is a good topic. Yeah. Yes. Back pain. Yeah. She deals with a lot of that for sure. I had that. I had a spinal thing. Yeah. Yeah. So Margaret and I are going to try to take on the psychosomatic part of pain. Is it all in your head? And then she's like, is it all in your back? Somewhere in the middle.
I feel like pressing your voice is more recognizable, so you should start. Okay, so we have 90 seconds. Our producer said we have to run the clock out and tell everyone what the trailer is. We also talk too much and get off basis, but I don't think we'll do that in 90 seconds. But what is this podcast about? Margaret and I are starting a podcast. We're psych residents. And also I run a TikTok channel. And I do too, less well. I do POV skits of stuff in the hospital, but that's not important right now. Because what's important is we're going to be...
talking about what it means to be a psychiatrist. And we're going to guide you along through our training as we learn about therapy, as we learn about neuroscience, pharmacology, and get to air the stories of patients who talk about what it means to have these illnesses. And both of us know how scary mental health can be. And we want to help shed light on that and make this a place where we can learn, but also you can learn and feel more open.
Join us to learn about the nuances that make us therapists. We're going to be talking about all sorts of things that go into the soup of mental health from our perspectives of people learning. After I told you that I took a test and found out my attachment style, how did that inform your new Hinge dating experience? I did in fact go on Hinge and practice my own attachment style. And did you attach to anyone? No, I certainly didn't. You
