In My First Podcast, we learn about sounds and the words that go with them. There are so many sounds that we hear every day. Beeps, cracks, claps and taps. Tickling in your ear sounds.

and crashing far too noisy sounds. Each day is filled with wonderful sounds. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too. Did you hear that? I'm jangling my keys. Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-ups can show you. It's time for our sound adventure. But before we can start our adventure, we need our magical bag of sounds. Are you here, bag of sounds?

Ah, here it is. This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure. I wonder what's inside. Let's open the bag to take a listen. The sounds are all swirling around. Can you hear them? Honk, honk. That's the sound of a car horn honking. Maybe a car horn will be on our adventure today. OK, bag, it's time for you to pick our sounds.

Let's close the zip and mix them up nicely. Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found. A gentle breeze, a buzzing bee. Let's shake it up in one, two, three. Hmm, do you know that sound? Yes, it's the sound of an egg cracking.

An egg is smooth and round and when you crack it open you'll find a yellow yolk inside. Eggs are used to make tasty food like scrambled eggs or cakes. Now on to sound number two. I wonder which sound will pop out next? Oh, do you know what this is? It's a whisk! A whisk is a type of kitchen tool made from thin wires and it's used to mix things like eggs or batter.

Thank you Bag of Sounds for giving us two sounds for today's adventure. An egg and a whisk. Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure. And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place. It could be outside or inside. We could be on a playground or at a shop. Where will our sound adventure be? Let's open the bag one more time. Sound Adventure

It sounds like we're inside. I can hear the sound of drawers opening and cutlery clanging. I know, we're in the kitchen. So for today's sound adventure, we are in a kitchen with an egg and a whisk. And this is Ivy. Hello Ivy.

Ivy is in the kitchen with her mum, making pancakes for breakfast. Mmm, tasty! I wonder when our sounds will pop up. Listen out for the egg and the whisk. Can you spot them? Then here we go! Ivy is in the kitchen with her mum. Mum gets a bowl from the cupboard. Mum takes some eggs and milk from the fridge. Mum cracks the eggs into the bowl.

Mum adds milk and flour to the eggs. Uh-oh! Ivy knocked over the flour! Mum whisks everything together. The pan is placed on the stove. Butter sizzles in the pan as the mixture is poured in. Mum uses a spatula to flip the pancake. The pancakes are done. Time to serve them up. Ivy loves making pancakes.

Mmm, pancakes are so tasty. Now, let's listen again and see if you can spot the egg and the whisk. Shout out loud when you hear them. That's the egg. That's the whisk. Did you spot our sounds too? Great job!

What an exciting adventure we had! Now it's time for us to put our sounds back in the bag. By egg, by whisk, there. They're all safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure.
