Hello. You are listening to My First Podcast, a magical world of sounds made just for you and your grown-ups to enjoy together. I'm Lucy. How are you today? In My First Podcast, we learn about sounds and the words that go with them. There are so many sounds that we hear every day. Snaps, rumbles, knock and dings.
tickling in your ear sounds and crashing far too noisy sounds. Each day is filled with wonderful sounds. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too. Did you hear that? I'm zipping up my jumper. It makes this whizzing sound. Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-ups can show you. It's time for our sound adventure.
But before we can go on our adventure, we need our magical bag of sounds. I wonder where it's got to? Ah, here it comes! This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure. Let's open the bag to take a little listen. The sounds are all swirling around. Can you hear some of them? That's an old kettle whistling away.
Maybe the kettle will be in our adventure today. Okay bag, it's time for you to pick our sounds. Let's close the zip and mix them up nicely. Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found. A howling wind, a buzzing bee. Let's shake them up in one, two, three. That's quite a loud sound.
It's whooshing and whirring. I think you use this when you've had a bath or shower. Yes, it's a hairdryer. Now on to sound number two. I wonder which sound will pop out next. Oh well, that's a very squeaky one. It's something you might find in the bath. Do you know it?
It's a rubber duck. Thank you Bag of Sounds for giving us two sounds for today's adventure. A hairdryer and a rubber duck. Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure. And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place. It could be outside or inside. We could be at a fairground or in a garden shed.
Where will our sound adventure be? Let's open the bag one more time. It sounds like we're inside. I can hear water splashing around and it's all very echoey. I know, we are in a bathroom. So for today's sound adventure, we are in a bathroom with a hairdryer,
and a rubber duck. And this is Saoirse. Hello, Saoirse. Saoirse is having bath time with her mum. She loves bath time because she gets to play with all her favourite bath toys. I wonder when our sounds will pop up. Listen out for the hairdryer and the rubber duck. Can you spot them? Then here we go. Saoirse's mum turns on the bathtub.
The water runs into the bath. Saoirse is very excited to get in. Mum turns off the tap. Mum splashes the water to check the temperature is okay. Mum lowers Saoirse gently into the water. They play with the rubber duck.
Squeak, squeak. Splash. Mum gently pours water over Saoirse's hair to wash it. Saoirse plays with her bath toys. It's time to get out of the bath. Mum pulls the plug. Mum dries Saoirse's hair with a hairdryer.
Saoirse's hair is nice and dry. She's ready for bed. Night night! Saoirse loved her bath time. She played with lots of bath toys and gave the rubber duck a good squeak. Did you hear the rubber duck and the hairdryer? Let's listen again and see if you can spot them. Shout out loud when you hear them.
That's the rubber duck. The rubber duck again. That's the hairdryer. Did you spot our sounds too? Great job! What a brilliant adventure we had!
Now it's time for us to put our sounds back in the bag. Bye rubber duck, bye hairdryer. There, all the sounds are safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure. Before we go, let's sing the sound adventure song. Every day we're learning new sounds. Listen out to hear what we find.
Long ones and shorter ones, beeps and blur. Higher ones, lower ones, taps and chirps. Inside or outside we hear, we love to hear sounds big and small. Listen close to what we have heard for every sound.
Thanks for joining me on our sound journey today.
