Hello, you are listening to My First Podcast, a magical world of sounds made just for you and your grown-ups to enjoy together. I'm Lucy. How are you today? In My First Podcast, we learn about sounds and the words that go with them. There are so many sounds that we hear every day. Whistles, clangs, cracks and drips.
tickling in your ear sounds and crashing far too noisy sounds. Each day is filled with wonderful sounds. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too. Did you hear that? I'm eating a cracker to make a crunching sound. Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-ups can show you. It's time for our sound adventure.
But before we can start our adventure, we need our magical bag of sounds. Are you here, bag of sounds? Ah, here it is! This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure. I wonder what's inside? Let's open the bag to take a listen. Tick tock, tick tock. Yes, that's the sound of a clock ticking.
Maybe the clock will be in our adventure today. Okay bag, it's time for you to pick our sounds. Let's close the zip and mix them up nicely. Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what marvels can be found. The bang of drums, the crashing sea. Let's take a peek in one, two, three.
Hmm, I think I know that sound. It's a tap with water pouring out. A tap is a kind of pipe you can get water from. When you open it, you can use it to wash your hands, drink water or fill up a cup. Now on to sound number two. I wonder which sound will pop out next. Oh, do you know what this is? It sounds like plastic.
It's a bottle being squeezed. Thank you Bag of Sounds for giving us two sounds for today's adventure. A running tap and a bottle. Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure. And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place. It could be outside or inside. We could be at a market or in a bath. Where will our sound adventure be?
Let's open the bag one more time. It sounds like we're inside. I can hear cupboards opening and closing and plates clinking against each other. I know, we are in a kitchen. So for today's adventure, we are in a kitchen with a tap and a bottle. And this is Hayo. Hello, Hayo.
Hajo is in the kitchen with his dad. They are cleaning the dishes. I wonder when our sounds will pop up. Listen out for the tap and the bottle. Can you spot them? Then here we go. Hajo is in the kitchen. There are lots of dirty plates and cups. Dad turns on the tap and water rushes out. Hajo loves it when the water splashes.
Dad squeezes the bottle of washing up liquid into the water. Hajo swirls the water to create soapy bubbles. Hajo got splashed! Dad turns off the tap and the water stops running. Dad washes the plates clean with a sponge. Dad puts the plates on the side to dry. He opens a cupboard and takes out a towel. Hajo helps dry the plates with the towel.
Dad stacks the plates. Hajo gives them one last wipe. Job done! Hajo loves washing up with his dad. Now, let's listen again and see if you can spot the tap and the bottle. Shout out loud when you hear them. That's the tap. That's the bottle. The tap has stopped.
Did you spot our sounds too? Great job! What an exciting adventure we had. Now it's time for us to put our sounds back in the bag. By tap, by bottle. There, they're all safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure. Before we go, let's sing the sound adventure song. Every day we're learning new sounds.
Listen out to hear what we hear. Long ones and shorter ones, beeps and blurs. Higher ones, lower ones, taps and chirps. Inside or outside we hear, love to hear sounds big and small. Listen close to what we have for every sound we have.
Thanks for joining me on our sound journey today.
