Hello. You are listening to My First Podcast, a magical world of sounds made just for you and your grown-ups to enjoy together. I'm Lucy. How are you today? In My First Podcast, we learn about sounds and the words that go with them. There are so many sounds that we hear every day. Knocks, clicks, shuffles and scrapes.
tickling in your ear sounds and crashing far too noisy sounds. Each day is filled with wonderful sounds. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too. Did you hear that? I'm rubbing my hands together and that makes this sound. Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-ups can show you. It's time for our sound adventure.
But before we can go on our adventure, we need some sounds from our magical bag. Let's see where it's got to. Aha! This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure. Let's open it up and see what we can hear. That's a cow. Maybe we'll hear cows in our adventure today. OK bag, it's time for you to pick our sounds. Let's close the zip and mix them up nicely.
Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found. A fluttering page, a cheering crowd. When you hear them, shout out loud. One, two, three. Hmm, that's quite a prickly noise. It's a sort of ripping. Of course, it's Velcro.
Velcro helps our shoes stay on by sticking together. It makes this great ripping noise when you pull it apart. Now on to sound number two. What else might we find in our magic bag today? Ooh, this is a tricky sound. It's something you might hear at a birthday party. And it's a lot of fun.
It's the sound of bouncing on a bouncy castle. Bouncy castles are big, soft castles filled with air that you can jump up and down on. If you jump hard enough, you can fly quite high. Thank you, Bag of Sounds, for giving us two sounds for today's adventure. Velcro and a bouncy castle. Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure.
And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place. It could be outside or inside. We could be in a forest or at a music class. Where will our sound adventure be? Let's open the bag one more time. Well, this is definitely outside and there's a lot happening. I can hear people talking and laughing, some birds singing, and is that some food sizzling on a barbecue?
I know. This must be a garden party. So for today's adventure, we are in a garden with Velcro and a bouncy castle. And this is Samina. Hello, Samina. Samina is at her friend's birthday party. She's going to spend the day in the garden, eating tasty food and playing games. And there's a bouncy castle to jump on, which Samina is quite excited about.
I wonder when our sounds will pop up. Listen out for the velcro and the bouncy castle. Can you spot them? Then here we go! Samina is at her friend's house, ready to celebrate a birthday. Samina runs across the garden to find her friends. There's a dog. He's very excited too.
Samina's friends are jumping on a bouncy castle. There's a machine that blows air into the castle. Samina pulls open the Velcro on her shoes. Samina jumps on the bouncy castle. The barbecue sizzles. It's almost time for lunch. Samina puts her shoes back on. The Velcro rips. They move the chairs back.
And all sit down to eat from their plates. The birthday cake has sizzling sparklers on top. Happy birthday. What a fun birthday party that was. Shall we listen again and see if we can spot the Velcro and the bouncy castle? Shout out loud when you hear them.
That's the bouncy castle. That's the Velcro. The bouncy castle again. And the Velcro again. Did you spot our sounds too? Great job! What a lovely adventure we had.
Now it's time for us to put our sounds back in the bag. Bye-bye, sounds! There. They're all safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure. Before we go, let's sing the sound adventure song. Every day we're learning new sounds. Listen out to hear what we've found.
Long ones and shorter ones, beeps and blur. Higher ones, lower ones, taps and chirps. Inside or outside we hear, we love to hear sounds big and small. Listen close to what we have heard for every sound word.
Thanks for joining me on our sound journey today.
