The Black Eyed Kids Josephine Bray thinks black eyed kids came to her home one night, eight years ago. She shared her experience on the forum Quora. I don't answer my door pretty much ever, and most of my neighbours are under the impression that I'm profoundly deaf. I just ignored people long enough that they think I'm totally deaf.
It's important to the story. When the knocking started, I didn't even go look, but then it started moving around the house toward the windows of the room I was in. By the time I could see them, I was terrified, and I'm not an easy scare. I was convinced they were going to get me. I picked up my mobile. We don't have landlines out here. I'm on the side of a mountain. To call the police, and no calls would go through.
I ended up hiding in a closet, but I could still hear them for almost an hour. What was really weird was that they were saying, "We know you can hear." I was so freaked out I eventually got my pistol out and decided to run to my closest neighbour to have them call the police. When I opened the door to leave, they were walking up the driveway backwards, taking these big strides whilst they were looking at me.
In 2007, Diane Bailey was in her 20s when she was working in an office on her own. The office was involved in B2B sales, but it was located in quite a rough downtown neighbourhood, and so she was in the habit of keeping the front door of the office locked while she was inside. One day, as it got to lunchtime, Diane decided to pop out to grab some lunch.
before she did so she went to the window first she said it was a habit of mine to look through our windows before i unlocked the door because we were next to extremely low-income apartments and one of the dudes there had creeped me out on more than one occasion i look out of the window and see two kids walking down the street they were wearing flannel and it was a bit too warm out for these clothes i decide to let them pass before i open the door to walk to my car
in the blink of an eye they were at my door they could not have walked that quickly or even sprinted to get from where they were to my office door that quickly our window had film on that let me see outside but a person couldn't see inside they looked about fourteen and were banging on the door one of them said let us in lady they haven't seen me by the way we need our mum they said
I was overcome with fear. I just felt the evil. I went to turn the lock to open the door but stopped. I yelled, "Go away in Jesus' name!" And they disappeared. Gone. The kids had both looked around fifteen. I'd yelled "No!" through the door. He kept banging on the glass so hard it was vibrating. I threatened to call the cops. They kept banging and begging to use the phone.
I finally got brave enough to get a better look at them so I could give the description to the police and their eyes were pitch black. I'm not super religious but I just yelled in the name of Jesus I command you to leave. On a website called Artangel an Australian lady who wished to remain anonymous and disclosed only that she is a teacher living in South Australia describes how one day back in 1976
she was alone at home hoovering her front room when she suddenly began to feel sick she stopped hoovering and sat down on the couch waiting for the nausea to pass when suddenly she realized she was no longer alone there were three strange people she said standing alongside the sofa just looking at me i froze with fear as i'd never seen anything like them before
Two of them were short and fat with broad faces and enormous black eyes, but just a hint of where a nose or mouth might have been. They had wispy bits of brown hair at the back of their heads. They were wearing brown robes. The other being was a female, tall and thin. She wore a black shroud and had black, wispy hair at the back of her head too. Her face was very elongated, with huge, dark, pissing eyes. Like the others, there was just a hint of where the nose or mouth should have been.
She started to speak to me with her mind and told me that I was to go with them. I said, in my own mind, that I would not go. Somehow, this telepathic communication seemed perfectly normal. I was so frightened because it seemed like they were pulling me away with their minds and I had to struggle to resist them. At one point, I remember falling down and trying to crawl toward the door. I have no memory from that point onward.
When my husband returned home at the usual time, I realised I had lost about four hours and I still have no explanation. In October 2014, several British newspapers reported on the return of the black-eyed child, which they said was back again after a lull in sightings in the Staffordshire area.
the original sightings of these strange children were first recorded in the nineteen eighties and this new sighting occurred in a marshy and forested area called cannock chase already a well-known hot spot for anomalous sightings a lady wrote of her experience to a local paranormal investigator mr
She said, "Me and my daughter were walking in the forest when we heard a young child scream really close to us. It sounded in distress, so we instantly ran towards it, but we couldn't find the child, and we stopped to look around. Suddenly, I saw a young girl standing behind us with her hands over her eyes. She slowly lowered her arms, and I saw her eyes. They were completely black, with no iris and no white,
We jumped back. I grabbed my daughter to run, but then the child was just gone. A second witness also then came forward. The man said, After reading the reports in the newspaper today, I feel I had to get in touch with you about my own experiences there. On more than one occasion, I believe I have seen a black-eyed child.
He went on to describe how he often goes in those woods walking his dog. One evening he was there as usual when he suddenly came face to face with what he described as a spectre with jet black eyes. He said, "I heard something rustle in the bushes and thought it was an animal. I carried on walking and the rustling seemed to be following me. I was walking down a path when the noise seemed to come from directly behind me.
I turned around and standing there was a small girl with her hands covering her eyes. My dog began barking furiously. I asked her if she was okay, but she didn't reply. In shock, I carried on walking, feeling very disturbed, but suddenly she appeared in front of me. My dog was going crazy. Her hands weren't covering her eyes this time, and I nearly fell over when I noticed that her eyes were jet black. Then, in an instant, she was gone.
the investigator brickley said that he was first made aware of the phenomenon of these unusual children when his aunt told him of an eerie experience she had back in the nineteen eighties when she was eighteen she and her friends would often meet in the woods in the evenings one evening at dusk as she went to meet them she heard a child screaming for help
rushing to where she thought the sun was coming from she tripped up and as she was getting up she spotted the little girl running away when she caught up with the child it stopped turned around and looked up at her the child's eyes were completely black then the child ran off at great speed into the trees and vanished brickley's aunt called the police worried for the girl to be out alone so late on her own though the police arrived quickly on the scene and undertook a thorough search they couldn't find the child
At the time, no one thought it wasn't a real girl, although his aunt could not understand how her eyes had been entirely black with no white at all. The Daily Star newspaper has another eyewitness account from an entirely different geographical location. Sharon Piper, in her late 50s, works as a barmaid. She reported something that happened to her when she claims that two black-eyed ghosts appeared in her pub in Lancashire.
The Kettle Market pub is her place of work and usually she spends her shift serving regulars. When these two came in, she says, she instantly got a bad vibe from them.
She said she had not had anything to drink herself and was completely sober. She said it was a man and woman with the palest skin, black hair and completely black eyes. There was no white at all. It was so strange. The way they spoke was so creepy. I was transfixed. Sharon kept her eye on them as they took their drinks away from the bar through the busy pub.
But, she says, they just disappeared. I have no idea where they went. I'm sure they were ghosts. I'm sure of what I saw. Some people don't believe me. They joke about me having had a drink myself. Not long after that, the pub closed down, having been struggling to make a profit in the poor economic climate. Then, it mysteriously burnt down. Many believe it was local vandals who set fire to it. Sharon herself, though, wonders if it had anything to do with the two black-eyed beings that she saw.
In quite an old case, a Mr. R. Green in his late 50s described his strange encounter. Based in Omaha, America, he was just having a routine day as he parked up and left his car to take a parcel to the town post office when a young man intercepted his path. "I didn't see him coming," he told Cryptozoology News. "It was like he just showed up out of nowhere."
He was late teens, long black hair, long black leather coat. It came right up to me. He asked for a dollar. Then he became persistent. He asked personal questions like, am I married? I tried to ignore him, but he wouldn't let me walk on. As I tried to pass by him, his eyes started to turn black, completely black. His voice became deeper. He asked about my family.
as if that wasn't odd enough what happened next completely threw the man he aged and became an older looking man his long hair became short i looked around the place and there was a lady staring at him and then as i looked back he began walking toward the wall of the building then disappeared i asked the lady if she saw it she did she was as surprised as me
we stood looking there looking at the wall talking about what just happened there was no door there i know what i saw i know it's crazy but there was no door he walked right through the wall
In 2013, Vorra Han was working in a restaurant. One night, a visitor arrived. They say, "I saw a young man with solid black eyes, in the middle of winter, in spotless, unwrinkled summer clothing. No car dropped him off. He asked to use the restroom. I hid in my office and watched on the cameras. He went to the public restroom. He never left the building.
he just disappeared somehow there was no way not to catch him on the cameras and the windows in the bathroom the minute this person walked in the air went cold and dead like all the kindness in the room instantly evaporated
Cassie Wobbenet is a psychic medium and author. She once wrote about an experience that she had. It was a chilly afternoon in October at one of the most beautiful places in Michigan, Mackinac Island. I was there for business, but even on business, I tried to find time to explore, and that's what I was doing, along with several of my friends, my husband, and son in tow.
The streets were crowded so first we dined at the Pink Pony for an early dinner and then went to grab some fudge and taffy for later. I would see someone here and there on the streets and shout out a greeting. As I exited one of the many souvenir shops, I heard my name being called from across the street and was surprised to see that it was someone I worked with over a decade ago. What a small world it really was, I thought.
We chatted a bit, said our goodbyes, and I headed to meet up with my group who had since abandoned me. I glanced across the street to see if I could catch sight of anybody when I heard someone ask me how I was. Thinking the person must have been mistaken, I heard someone ask again, "How are you today, ma'am?" I turned around to see a child, between the ages of eight to ten, wearing a long brown wool coat with a matching flat cap
I had a hard time answering because not only was this boy's dress interesting, his eyes were hypnotic and coloured entirely black. I shivered and took a step back from him. I whispered that I was fine and the boy looked hard at me for a second with a wide smile on his face, then ran up the street. Confused, I followed but he disappeared into the crowd.
standing in a haze in the middle of the street i heard a familiar voice call my name and saw my husband this may seem like such an innocent encounter but it was different this kid was different this happened a year and a half ago and i haven't talked much about the experience but when i think about it i'm still confused and shaken
I didn't have an answer then and I still don't. Why me? Why then? I wish I could say that I'd had a drink or two but I didn't. I wish I could say it was a ghost or spirit. That seems more realistic but... Somebody wrote on a forum, they called themselves the Connected Realms. They said that I travelled to Chicago once to visit some old friends. This was around 2015.
I went out on the town with my buddy Kyla. I was not one to get wasted, and I never knew her to be that type either. And that made this night kind of strange. She took me to what she called a punk bar, in a neighbourhood I'd never visited. Cool, I like punk bars. But this was no punk bar. It was a goth bar mostly staffed by cross-dressing stripper types. Unexpected, but I was down for the experience. We each got a drink and found a table.
Before I knew it, the night completely unraveled. This random man across the bar. He stood probably about 40 feet away on the other side, and he was just absolutely bizarre to me. I initially thought, oh, he's handsome, in an unusual way. But then I saw his eyes. I was horrified. They were completely black and slanted upward, and he looked at me like he hated me.
For the next hour or so, Kyla and I continued to get a second drink, even though we both wanted to leave. Something anchored us there. We sat there, uncomfortably speaking to each other, not knowing why we just didn't go someplace else. Every time I looked up, this strange man with jet black eyes was glaring at me from a different part of the bar. I was overcome with strange thoughts. I started having the thought of, maybe I should go to that hallway and wait for him.
And then my rational mind thought, what the hell? Why would I? And this argument, this internal argument, carried on for a while. I fought the urge to go into some dark corner and just wait for this weirdo to approach me. I actually wanted nothing to do with him. He was creeping me out and scaring me. But I also felt compelled to do something against my own best interests.
It felt like there were intrusive thoughts getting into my brain and telling me to do something that I 100% did not want to do. Finally, Kyla literally pulled me out of that bar and got us an Uber to go back to our Airbnb. The next day I woke up and needed to get back on the train to continue my travels. I've never felt more physically awful in my entire life. I was so ill that I contemplated going to hospital.
I want to say there was probably something slipped into my drink, but I also can't forget the image of that horrifying guy with the black slanted eyes. While based at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, an unnamed U.S. Marine stated that in November 2009, he had a strange encounter with black-eyed children near the barracks where he lived.
the anonymous witness stated that he was alone in his room one evening watching a movie when a knock came at his door expecting it to be his room-mate who had forgotten his keys the marine opened it without hesitation
when he did go he was presented with the sight of two small children standing outside as soon as he saw them the man stated that he was filled with dread and had an impulse to slam the door shut as fast as he could that was before he realized that both children had jet-black eyes despite his fear the marine asked the children what they wanted to which they responded all the while staring straight at him that it was cold outside and they wanted to come in and read
The Marine suddenly realised no one else was within sight and as the children took a step toward his room, he gave in to the impulse that was racing through him and shut the door quickly. The knocking continued for several minutes, in addition to a rattling from his window, before all noises stopped and the children appeared to be gone.
The Marine made some idle inquiries the following morning, but the few people who had been on site during his strange encounter stated that they hadn't heard or seen anything strange. Chris and her husband were travelling on the I-75 in Michigan when they made a routine stop at a rest area. Coming out of the women's room, Chris came face to face with a thin, dark-haired woman with black eyes staring directly at her.
I instantly felt a terrible sense of dread, as though there was something deeply unnatural about her, Chris says. The eyes were completely black. I saw no colour whatsoever and no pupils. I felt an extremely strong need to get away from her as quickly as possible, as if there was something quietly threatening about her. Her stare was devoid of any emotion other than something very cold and disconnected.
My instant and unwavering feeling during this whole experience was that she was not human. There was also something almost predatory about her, as though she was homing in on prey while she stood there so still. I also had a strange sense of her feeling superior or stronger in some way. It seemed important for some unknown reason for me to act unaffected by her while in her presence.
I felt a huge sense of relief as I got back into the car and left. T is a 47-year-old apartment manager in Portland, Oregon, who after 20 years on the job is used to meeting people of every age, race, colour and description. But one day, a different kind of person came to the door. She says he was a young boy of about 17 or 18 approximately. He asked me about an open apartment for rent. I remember feeling very scared and shaken by his appearance.
He didn't look weird by his dress or such. It was his eyes. I remember feeling the hair on my neck stand up and I was shaking just from looking in his eyes. I couldn't look him straight in the eyes. I felt like I was about to die. Now, some people may think I was just overreacting but the eyes were completely black. There was no real pupil. He spoke normally to me but I had to just shut the door in his face and get as far away from him as I could. I felt like I was in extreme danger.
A lady called Sarah Beth wrote about her experience. She says she's a domestic engineer and she was home with her husband in North Texas one evening.
"'It was about 9.30pm,' she said, "'and my husband and I were sitting in our family room. "'It was getting late, so we decided to turn the porch light off "'and let our dog Chloe out of our crate. "'Chloe is an American bulldog and is very docile. "'I turned the outside light off, let Chloe out, "'and she followed me back to the couch and laid down at my feet. "'It was getting close to 10pm when my husband decided "'he'd had enough for the night and was going upstairs, "'take a shower and get ready for bed.'
It was a Thursday and he still had to get up early the next day. My teenage son was out with his friends and wasn't expected back for another hour or so, so that left me alone on the couch with Chloe. It wasn't long after I heard the upstairs water for the shower turn on when there came a light knock, knock, knock at the front door. My initial reaction was, what the hell, really? It's almost 10 o'clock. But soon an uneasy feeling came over me.
"'Why the knock? Our doorbell glows, and in the dark, and without the porch light, it would be extra obvious to anyone there.' I paused. I couldn't really just ignore it. Our front door has a big bevelled glass panel, and anybody right at the door could see in enough to see someone was in the family room watching TV. It would be pretty rude for me to just sit there and not answer it. Knock, knock, knock. Again, from the front door. I could only stand up clearly as she was gone.'
My gaze followed her usual path to the front door, expecting her to be on her way there as she normally does. Nothing. She wasn't there. I stood up to look around the room and found her crouching by the back door, like she was wanting out. However, she never asked to go out like that. She always comes and licks my hand. This was totally out of character for her, and I have to say, it heightened my anxiety. "'Chloe, great,' I said."
She just turned back to look at me like, hell no, lady, not moving. I yelled up to my husband, but if he was already in the shower, I knew there was no chance of him hearing me. Knock, knock, knock. About that time, a car drove down our street and caused just enough light on the door to see where I could see the silhouettes of two small children through the glass. I instantly felt relief. It was just some kids, probably a couple of my neighbours on their way back home.
I headed to the door and looked back to make sure Chloe wasn't going to follow. What a great watchdog I thought to myself as she just sat there. I turned on the porch light when I got to the door and sure enough, I could see through the glass that it was a couple of pretty small kids.
A little late for such young ones, I thought. I began to wonder what kind of parents would let their kids run the streets that late at night. I only opened the door enough to where I could block Chloe's escape if she decided to, and it was only about two feet. It was a boy and girl. The girl to my left was older, I'd say about eleven or twelve. I could tell she was blonde, but I couldn't make out any distinct features, as our lights are from high above and on columns at the front of the porch, so most of the light was coming from behind them.
i hadn't opened the door wide enough for any light from inside to hit them directly the boy was younger and about a foot shorter i'd say eight or nine and looked to have light brown hair the girl very politely spake up ma'am can we please come inside and use your phone to call our mum as she spoke something in the pit of my stomach was telling me something was wrong what kid even at that age doesn't have a cell phone of their own these days i couldn't remember the last time i'd had anybody ask to use my home phone
"'Hun, don't you have a phone of your own you can call your mum on?' I asked. This was when things got really weird. Both kids turned to look at one another like they were going to say something to one another, but neither spoke. They both turned back to me, and the girl said, "'Ma'am, my cell phone battery doesn't have any charge left. Can we please come inside and call our mother? We're alone out here and my brother is scared.'
"'I have to admit, there were two competing feelings going on inside me. "'The first, of a mother's heart, "'that wanted to help these two small children get to their mum. "'The other, a sinking fear in my gut "'that was keeping the other feeling at bay. "'It was then I noticed that during the short conversation "'I'd already opened the door a few extra inches, "'which I was completely unaware of doing. "'I stopped. "'Honey, why don't you give me your mother's number "'and I can call her myself?' "'Another pause, and they looked again at one another.'
After a short moment, they turned back to me and the girl said, ''Ma'am, my little brother has to use your bathroom. Can we please come inside while you call our mum?'' And with that last statement, the little girl moved closer toward the door, like she was going to just walk in. As she did, she stepped into the light coming from inside the house and I got my first real good look at her. Solid, jet black eyes. That's all I could see. That motherly instinct was gone and replaced by terror I don't think I've ever felt in my life. I could feel every hair on my neck.
standing at attention i closed the door to where just my face was able to stick out the little girl stopped and pleaded again please mum we're really scared and alone out here we have to come inside please help us then like on cue both kids began to whimper and cry that's when the fear took over and i shut the door and locked it i'll call your mum if you give me their number i shouted through the door but i'm not letting him in my house
I could still see them standing on the porch, just staring through the bevelled glass pane. Part of me wanted to run upstairs to my husband, but the bigger part didn't want to lose track of where they were. That would have freaked me out even more not to know where they were. After what seemed like forever, but probably only a few seconds, I decided I'd call my neighbour that lives across the street. As I made my way to the side table by our couch to the phone, I glanced at the back door. Chloe was nowhere to be found. We later found her in the guest room under the bed.
When I got to my phone and started to look for his contact info, it was only then the kids stepped away from the door and began to walk to the street. As they did, I walked to the door to get a better look to see where they went, still not calling my neighbour. If you can get close enough to the glass, you can see out enough to make out people's shapes, but you can't see much detail. Of course, standing that close to the door would make you pretty obvious to anyone outside looking in.
from the door i could see that the kids were still standing under the street lamp nearest my house staring at me as i lifted the phone to my ear after calling only then did the kids start walking down our street i met my neighbour out under the lamp once he was out there but the kids were nowhere to be seen susie bannion wrote on a forum
over ten years ago although the encounter took place in two thousand and ten my memories of the event returned in full after reading accounts similar to my experience based on the apparent frequency of these sightings i have decided to share my story
Pegby is a total cliché, but this tale starts off with two young adults, myself and my boyfriend at the time, making out and drinking in a dorm room. It was my sophomore year at a very small college in a very small town outside of Philly, and because there was never a whole lot to do, most kids just partied in dorms and went to bed before 1am.
this particular night however i must have been feeling especially deviant because i was able to convince my boyfriend to stay up really late as four a m approached and as our eyelids began to droop a pretty regular night but really weird really fast a few logistical things to better understand the layout
My college bought a lot of huge Victorian houses and converted them to dorms to guarantee housing all four years. My boyfriend's house was as far away from main campus as you could get, entering townie territory. My house on the other hand was right across from main campus.
we were planning to stay at my boyfriend's dorm when something horrifying happened i saw the biggest prickliest most grotesque centipede right above my boyfriend's bed lunging at the bug with the shoe hoping to squash every ounce of nightmare inducing powers from its body the critter outsmarted me and slithered into the darkness
after failing to crush my enemy there was absolutely no way in god's green earth that i was sleeping there after using my female prowess my boyfriend agreed to take the trek back to my centipede free dawn to get some sleep being a small town and with all the college kids being in bed at this hour no one was on the street that's why it was so weird to encounter another person out of nowhere
imagine walking down the street looking straight ahead seeing no one there blinking and then seeing someone that's what happened this person was in his late teens wearing a white t-shirt and ratty looking jeans normal for a townie which is what i initially thought he was then i got a closer look as he brushed past me
his skin was completely white no uneven skin tone no blemishes no scars perfect and pristine white almost like old-fashioned milk-glass the whiteness of his skin offset his eyes if you could call them that they were really just black holes where eyes should be like he had his eyeballs gouged out or something the cherry on this demoniac cake was what he did as he was passing us
It was almost in slow motion, which is why the details stand out so clearly. The boy turned his head, looked at us, smiled and then licked his lips. He didn't lick his lips like they were chapped and he didn't lick them in some kind of sexual way. He licked his lips like he was hungry, so hungry, like he hadn't eaten in days. Went to the grocery store and we just happened to be in the meat case.
I didn't feel particularly threatened by him, just incredibly freaked out. To make it even stranger, there was a young girl following behind him, head down, arms crossed, almost like she was in a trance. As we passed by her, I had a sickening feeling that she was about to meet a terrible end. I truly regret not stopping her or getting help afterwards, but I had nothing to go on.
And they disappeared like literally poof right after they passed us. So what do I think? As soon as I saw this boy, I instantly assumed he was a vampire. Kind of strange to assume. Oh, it's just a vampire leading a victim to her death. No biggie. I don't know if they eat people though, because I'm convinced that was his end game. About the eye sockets, they were so dark and deep that it honestly looked like there was nothing there.
You know how in some movies a monster would just have black shining eyes? This wasn't like that. There were just big black holes that kind of encompassed the whole eyebrow, upper cheekbone region. Also, the girl that was with him looked normal. Didn't get a good look at her face because her head was down, but she looked like a normal young girl. Skinny blonde, short hair. Based on her trance-like state though, she walked like she was cold and sick.
kind of shivering and dragging behind. My boyfriend was walking with me but absolutely did not want to talk about it afterwards. He just had a shocked look on his face. He's a true sceptic and that experience threw him for a loop. We broke up a few years ago but we never mentioned it again. Nothing odd that I can say about his clothing but I was totally focused on his face and lip licking.
Thank you.
