Jamie Howell is a lay Zen Teacher in the Suzuki Roshi Soto Tradition. After many years of practice he received the precepts in a jukai ceremony in 2000. He was chairman of the board of San Francisco Zen Center in 2004 and 2005, and was shuso at City Center in 2006.
