Detroit native Melissa Butler is the founder of beauty brand The Lip Bar, which has become a nationwide phenomenon. Melissa obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from Florida A & M University before working on Wall Street as a licensed stock broker. In 2012 she made a life pivot and grew an indie upstart into what has become a multimillion dollar business. The Lip Bar has a flagship store in Detroit, and can be found in nearly 500 Target locations nationwide.
