The dome's thing I ever bought, yeah, the dub thing I ever bought is a can N D S L camera five d marketing somewhere around two thousand and seven. I started getting into photography, D S L R cameras, which is getting popular. And I warned one, but I was too poor, or for that, I was obsessing over the can in rebel cameras, wishing I could have one, constantly looking at ebay to see what was out there.

And every now, and i'd find one undervalued, listed way below what I should be yet. And so I bought the cheap one, and I used IT for a few days and issued for more than I bought IT. I did that three times and eventually had enough money to get the camera for myself.

Basically was a free can in rebel. And I used the crap out of that. I probably took thousands of photos with IT. I shot model sometimes, but my favourite was architecture. I especially love dear elect or abandoned buildings.

And after a year of taking all these photos, cannon was launching a new camera, the five d mark two, how I started wishing I could get that, and for some reason I just can not resist. And I pretty ordered IT. The thing costs two thousand five hundred dollars.

And IT was absolutely something I could not afford at the time. But I thought I was my ticket to becoming a professional photographer. So I spent every last pinny I had on IT and even went into deck to buy IT.

Oh, IT was amazing. Full frame sensor IT a perfect photos. But here's a problem.

I felt this thing was way too expensive to take anywhere like I find, walk around and up, ending buildings with thousands of dollars on camera gear around my neck. I might get robbed. And if I got scratched, I would cried.

So I never took that camera anywhere and brought my cheaper one with me instead. The one I didn't mind if I got broker stolen, but this changed my whole relationship with photography. After that, I had all this can gear.

And because I was too afraid to use IT, I didn't IT shoot much at all. I realized my dreams of being a prophecy. Her were done, and I was a dumb idea of by a thing.

I know what I was thinking at the time, so I tried to selling IT. But the thing is, selling something that expensive is tRicky. You could easily get scammed arrowed.

And IT was very nerve racking. On top of that, nobody was really buying the super high and cameras. So I ended up selling IT for way less than what I paid for IT.

Now I say that was the domestic I bought because yesterday I bought something way domer. These are true stories from the dark side of the internet. I am jack ryder. This is dark net dies.

Yeah right. So let's start the beginning here. Um first for what do you what do you want to be known for as if I call you names yeah it's fine.

Jjb done, works. I'm all of the internet. I'm not unfollowed.

It's it's perfectly fine. And then, if not, then most people would know this. That, I guess was like.

i'm onna jump to the chase for you right now. Geert T. A, K, A. Stack executed a wild, an astonishing robbery. He stole millions of dollars, encrypt to currency, which is why I call this episode stack attack. But his grand hights is so different that I had me questioning far more than stolen money.

IT cracked open a door that I didn't even know was there, leading me through amazing questions that i'm still trying to find my way through. And it's also story I think that doesn't told me you again to at this point. Have you heard of meme coins? They're like jokes, but in the form of crypto currency, they're really weird and nobody seems to understand why they have any value at all.

Yeah there is no inherent value. The, the the whole pitch is that there is no page.

And you might say, oh, I would never buy something with no value. Oh yeah, they are using, you never bought name, brand, clothes or food or medicine. The store brand eber profit has the exact same ingredients as the ad will brand and it's just as effective and is on esty the exact same product.

Yet people still prefer the advil brand even though IT costs twice as much. And that's marketing for you. That story telling for you stories alone give value and meaning to otherwise meaningless or valuable things to. Anyway, people are buying crypto currencies simply as a joke, almost like they're laughing at themselves like they know they're buying a me coin and it's a stupid idea. But they are like galleys do that and then they feel stupid even after doing this is a very strange now, are you are you like you like crypto and nf? Or is this like something you're just like poking out and making fun of and being like, what idiots are baring all .

this super stuff? I I should I should, I guess, give a lot of confident. I am matic conference.

It's it's region all ism. So I have been in computer since eighty thousand eleven and twelve. I used to make you youtube videos. S the entry used to give with them.

I have lost seven millions many times over and so you're writing now um I have kind of a foregone dissolutions now um I used to really believe in the the revolutionary aspect of of the entire thing in kind of separation of finance state and all that on stuff and I I was very much aboard with lasting change, I guess but I kind of big dissolution then. I not sure where I had in a spectro of a believer or not these days because he pays the bills. However, I have this booming court cases so I don't really know uh, where I can am a developer.

I am not a very great developer and somebody somebody reason they describe this a savic programmer, but I don't believe so ah I connect dogs really well and I have continued ted, I guess to will be going serum. I contribute team and I was actually a block producing and I I and ears, for a while I went to wax. Uh, wax is a gaming games with neil, sport, only very close eos.

And then our drink, as long as built different. And they really do tailor the entire thing to to, to welcome in and promote new developers. And so once I soni kind of a place for myself.

I guess so he's contributed to the development of many cypher to currency projects out there. And IT was so on at the fifth largest script currency that he felt most at home in. And he put his focus there.

But one thing geert just can't help doing is looking for bugs in the code that can be exploited for money, because if a bug is present in egypto project IT could result in catastrophic losses for everyone involved. The bug hunting. I I i'm trying to get a square understanding of this because are you looking for bugs and then reporting them so they get fixed? Are you looking for bugs and then exploited them?

So I will tell you, I have in the past uh, reported any number of bugs that have gone on deaf years. Forty bugs are lovely, so important a bug to uh radium and a ora workers at one point or go dismissed that is out of out of scope because they don't support that tic program. I guess I don't know why. Uh and then also radium, they could all me in the ends of basic, this is not think we could do to prevent good market behavior um so that that that kind of a that kind of all you hit in short, no, I I used try to report these things. In total, I been paid, I think two but bennies that are significant.

Gert claims that he had information about F T X is downfall before IT became public. F T X was a huge crypto x shames that was discovered to be mismanaging its money and lying about IT. And the founder ended up going to jail. A lot of people lost a lot of money because if and try tried to warn his government by telling them to look into F, T, X in two .

thousand and twenty two, I do my reapplication to canadian forces. Hope we can bringing my concerns, the people about F, X, perhaps make a difference. However, the recruitment process took well, and by the time will join my application. And I been on the role of ecosystem, knowing that that should I ever be left in a moral content with hundreds of millions and user funds at risk, surely adding to another blood battle, world suicide, they will no way to be hard to the demanding and impact of or action. Because without a theatrical display, nobody ever really.

he wished he could have been more dramatic and theatrical to warn people about the F, T, X. collapse. That makes me wonder what he's thinking here.

Like what does that mean to be more? They're rc about warning people. What do you consider yourself? You are.

You are trying to make things Better. Are you securing the internet to the crypto or vantis zing IT? Or are you sticking your finger .

in someone's I I really wish I knew I really .

wish that was the first .

university after my mom's at the twenty fifth year when I put to release that out of report, I was, uh.

very deep in the how did your mom die?

The mercy of canada, canada killer SHE should SHE fell and broke her him and he was interpreted sly, put her her .

misery oh my god. That must been so sudden and surprising. Yes.

I was so SHE was out. I knew he was on the way out and it's a very long story. Um but um IT is what IT is and h is probably for the Better I you still struggle with, uh is not very important days the year I struggle.

Jarrett had a hard time coping with the death of his mother. He loved her dearly. SHE was everything to him, but IT was a complicated relationship.

I read his psychiatric report, IT said he had her own mental health issues and would do crazy things like set her own house on fire. So like gear, tt came home from school three different times with his house on fire. He got addicted to cocaine early on when he was like a teenager, and IT just had a wild upbringing.

Anyone had me to add that the psychiatric report is questionable since C. N. H S screwed up a little bit by putting the wrong I D A on there and misspelled his last name in february two thousand and twenty three.

He was grieving her loss pretty hard because I was the one year anniversary of her death, and he turned to his computer to cope. Perhaps that's a safe outlet if you just playing video games or watching youtube. But what he decided to do was attacked the solana network.

So lona is the type of crypto currency, is the fifth biggest coin in terms of market cap. It's kind of a big deal. And geert t. Knew some of his weaknesses. So he started missing with them.

I could. So I was I was too, as many of print actions could the value that is run clockwork ard is that can options do these guys are not getting get additional money by running these threads? Pockmark is a scheduling software.

The thing is I feel good that that you can do recursive transaction. Yeah, you have a transaction that calls another transaction. The obviously, if you have an not money to pay, pay pipers that's terrible for block hands or or any competing network.

All went down again. In a couple days later. I was like a sleep or in the up, and smoke went down on.

He was able to generate block sizes is so large that IT overwhelmed the network, and transactions were getting clogged.

Have all of the transactions by bite size? I was four percent. I was, I was the user or bot, submit four percent of everything. Slam in that to the book.

How did that? You must have had a really B, C system?

No using. There are the threat. So because in transactions that would call themselves sponge, whenever the researching conditions met, however, I then found out that I could just have them call of themselves immediately, which is, which is the recursion that I think broken IT.

So lona reported a twenty hour outage on february twenty, twenty two thousand and twenty three. They experienced unusual block sizes, which went rebroadcasts through the network, ended up degrading the service. So they puts ilona in main, small, to fix the problem.

Essentially, no sela transactions could occur pretty much that whole day. And I can exactly confirm IT was Jerry t who took down solena during that time. My guess is he contributed to whatever problems I were going on.

But the thing is, is that he was never blamed for this so long and never came out and said they know who did IT or anything like that. I have to admit, I didn't think IT was possible to cripple ecri pto currency network so badly that IT can be taken off line like this. Two billion dollars are traded every day and so on. A, and for all that to come to a home because some guy is having a bad day, that's just well to me. How did you get started with pump fun?

Uh, totally. The cvo so on. I lost the counting on April fools day, April first of this, this year, and I was called bucker going I I or IT, I appeared back, and all that was completed the first after of the paragraph in the big lain White tie and through IT in there.

And then I think of a pump find coin. It's very, very for something in my life every he's pump fun at that point um and I call the bunker coin futures and see a full day. But I feel immediately I didn't expect that and I once to go. My two sons to become ten sound, which is significant. So uh, I guess I was hoped I me to see up at that point.

Pump fun to researched this episode. I actually create an an account on there, use aside for a few days. And he's absolutely right. IT feels like a casino and it's pretty addictive because of that. In the mean coins I bought on there yesterday, absolutely are the dominant things I ever bought in my life.

I kept finding myself lost in the days, staring at the screen, watching my bags, then suddenly waking up, realizing, I bet, no means. And I said to myself, what in the world are you doing? So what pump fun is it's a place that anyone can go to and make a mean coin on slain network is very easy and fast.

And then others can buy your mean coin from you if they want. On the site, the site looks a lot like force and and as you're there, you're just bomb barred with endless messages of new coins being created and what coins people are buying and selling. And it's wildly popular.

So before your eyes, you're watching a coin get created by someone. And then hundreds of people are buying that coin all in the first five minutes of the existing, and only went there to research this place. And we spent like a few box on mean coins.

Like for two dollars, you can buy thirty thousand mean coins. As I used to site myself, I got familiar with the game is called pump fun, because the game is the pump and dog, a mean coins relevancy only last a few minutes sometimes, then IT crashes into a livia. So the game, mr, jumping on a coin, hoping more people are gone to buy IT after you do.

And if they do, their holdings go up, and then you need to get out before that goes back down. And so the people holding that coin will use every strategy they can to get others to buy IT after them. And as I played this game, I too became someone trying to convince others to get in on this going is hot pump IT.

And then as soon as I jump in and jump out, dump IT, it's ruth. Listen that way, because you see the other people who are buying the coin and you want to think they are on your team, they're going to help you, pup. But no, they're just looking for a way to get out before you do.

Everyone is trying to take each other other's money. And that's the game. That's the gamble.

And I think that's what draws a lot of people to come play at the site. One of my favorite towns to visit lost vegas. And everyone knows when you gamble, the house always wins.

It's a ragged game, yet they still gamble. They put their luck on the line and bet real money even after knowing the games they are playing are not fair. But I love loss magas because there's nowhere else in the world which is as wild and crazy as IT.

It's incredibly entertaining and fascinating to experience. And I learned a lot from that town just how to stick focused in a chaotic environment, how to see through the glitz and glam and notice what something really is, and maybe even a glimpse of what humanity is really like. I met some people who use pop fund regularly, and even they think what they're doing is laudable. Like he was telling me he may bank off a first coin or a squill copei ut the other day or something ridiculous because when you're buying meme coins, you're buying something that is just so bizarre that you end up questioning your own sanity. But it's fun because it's interesting and weird and we all like interesting things.

You go there um you make IT token you share with your friends in the family and they come in and buy and up on a bonding curves the first person buys by three and as people as more people buy IT was only virus for insincerely ashes continues to go up for token. So uh uh the idea is that eventually sell cate tokens for gain after you have shared that with old friends and family a for them to buy after you.

But this he told what her friends or not everyone to describe IT legally as friends, family, and then you you make a game on their loss essentially. And um that's basically it's made to look like for chain. I guess with the comments in such and as fishing lies on the on the page.

You too little. I'm looking at IT now IT is ugly.

Yes, IT is IT is horrifying.

The site is right out of bizarre internet land. The layout is weird. The images and coin names are a cringe. It's all moving way too fast for anyone to be able to read. Things are like jump in off the screen constantly trying to get your attention. And so generate was playing around on the site quite a bit, launching coins, running trading, but and being pretty active on pump fund. Tweet about IT too.

And I report on linking at all. And you supply a for of jobs, and this is sure. Why not gradually? Actually, I D like unions of pump different sides and um and I got offers that they big fake for my puppy from my flight.

People of the thing I got to think they were know about airport uh and I take a flight was actually the same night and a knife over the U. K. I have only left again at at once in my life before this.

So gett got hired by pumps n and move to the U. K. And knew this was a crazy idea to move to a new country for some work ecliptic project. IT was excited about IT too.

I was just excited this to work in a real office, again, even remote. First in ce, like two thousand thirteen, when I worked for research motion was the last in persons job. I like if you guys a little calm self black in there now of business, it's a long career of isolation and addiction and stuff and like I just I really wanted to be part of an organization that was Young and fit and like looking for the achieving stuff. There were alty one of the number one learning apps anywhere. Crick, it's so it's a very long story like I don't really know but mean thing is why wasn't another medication from we not think .

this straight one thing and then what was was the medication .

you're on a tics once a month, A A deo and uh all the answer via CER where which year in amErica of vivo? I five more years there.

What is that treat radiation okay so you go to you go alone, then you meet with the ah the creators of this. What are you what are your opinions of them .

for a yeah yeah I would oxo y're they're yah they're in a student housing in oxford. Is this black event that through is the second mr or third whatever?

What was your first opinion of them?

I don't really know. I didn't insisted with the co with the CPO. I I actually uh most documents employee, they're twenty and very unexpected. This is the world. How many .

people are there?

Three confounders. And I was the first hired out of the family.

He moved into a shared living space with the other confounders. But after a short while, they all moved to london and got an airbnb there for everyone to stay at. And they also rented an office.

We got rental last night, and across from the bucking Alice, we can not come, which was the box residences.

This was actually a pretty posh place they rented for the team to do work out of. And if you're wondering, how does pump fun make money while they charge one percent fee for every trade that happens on the site?

So often this link in a cc one just loaded up per second. Uh, yesterday they made actually gone down at all once they made hundred twenty .

thousand and doors. Let me look at IT three hundred and forty million dollars .

in fees they've collected. That's not including TV l that's that's just fees.

The site is apparently crazy popular. Tens of thousands of mean coins are made every day there, and they were experiencing explosive growth. No wonder they wanted to hired developers. The site was probably barely able to stay on the tracks.

And it's strange to me that this is the wacky world we live in, where joke tokens have such a wild demand, where the cycle, or can make hundreds of millions of dollars from this. And see, here's the thing for me. I want to understand the world.

I wanted to make sense. And whenever I learned about something that doesn't make sense at all, I used to dismiss IT and say, oh, those who are obviously stupid or that's faker, that's wrong or something. But now when I hear something really absurd, I lean into IT. And I stay there until that makes sense to me. Like I still don't understand why the game banana is the third most popular game on steam.

Can somebody please explain that to be most of the time when I figure out a mystery like that, it's a big waste time for me because i'll just learn that I was lied to on the answer and I saw something fake or something which maybe believe something else. But in this case, we can see exactly how much money this site is making because the block chain is public for anyone to see. And yeah, they've made hundreds of millions of dollars on this site.

How are meme coin so popular that millions of dollars are being spent on them every day? The more gert learned about pum, the more concerned he grew with the whole company. Like to start with one of the first things that happened when he arrived as they held a black tie party, which was wild average.

There is a horse like a miniature horse. There is fire dancers. There was, uh, twenty twenty years that were ought we spent the story of the bar and .

he started thinking, in this place is more crazy than .

he realized in what I think there can any number of thousand, tens of thousands times the day actually, because this is like twenty thousand and these token is launched every day. The first thing that I didn't really give much thoughts, there's no K Y C A A M L across the entire the board.

okay? So K Y C is no your customer and A M L is anti money launch. Personally, I don't want anyone in the world to know.

I bought a me going from this place, so I definitely don't want to be putting my export name as the owner of that. And think about if I went into a casino in vag as to gamble. There's nobody collecting my name before I can gamble there.

But regulations are starting to come up everywhere, encrypt to land, and it's very difficult to know what to follow and how. So i'm just not sure if the site is required to do any K, Y, C. Or not.

Then jerrett also thinks that there's a whole financial advice problem on the site. See, the government has made IT illegal for me to give you financial advice. If I wanted to give you financial advice, i'd have to be registered with the S.

C. C. And here, IT tells me that there are lots of people on pump fun who are, in fact, giving financial advice, saying things like by the crypt to coin, and you'll get rich.

Is that illegal? Jerry thinks so. So he tells me the sites official stance is that we're all friends and family on the site, because you can give financial advice to your friends, and that's not illegal.

I looked on the site for ut privacy policy, or in terms of service, and they don't exist. So from what I can tell, the site does not post any rules of what's allowed or not a loud. But there's one part of the site which is worth mentioning till down to a coin, you need to create an account to name the token, give IT a logo or something.

But to pumped, you can go live, flip on your camera and tell the world why they should be buying your token. And of course, because you're the creator, if the token goes up, you make money. But can you think of any problems that might arise on a site where you can make money? Live streaming and everyone is anonymous and no age checks are required.

So live showing feature. So if you could go create scorn and actually not show, you are not any page. If anybody lives showing, and you can try to get the gist, this was one of the things that caused me very much Green.

I remembers rested my friend's a boyfriend. How could I work on this? This feature there loves you.

Apply form the last for the sexualization of Young girls. Uh, for financial gain. Opening without O K, S, here in on protections does exacerbate tensions for explanation and abuse.

So basically anybody can list you. I want to say what what that really means. How dest came to be, in fact, are how they noticed that.

Uh, what I was there, uh is that, uh, questioning of age girls are sexy zing themselves on camera, like as as a live seeing platform for for sexual rin column. A cork is there is no K Y C. There's no even attention to prove that anyone these are age.

So first is one, one of the founders joined one of these dreams. They were happening on television at the time because they were excited and want an integrated life. And the cycle was a major boost in traffic feeds and all that he joins and that somebody else is on the audio for the telegram change this.

This girl is twelve years old. SHE says, no baby point in one. And I was the extent of the of the K. Y. C. there.

I did not ask you to show me evidence of underwear girls dreaming on the site. And geert lawyers told him me they wanna see IT either. I did see sexual photos of adults though, on the site.

Let me read a tweet from you that the pump fund twitter count wrote on june thirty, twenty twenty four. We at pump fund are fully committed to a family friendly user experience. Trading means should be a fun experience for the whole family.

That is why we resolutely condemn the porn meta that is taken over our site. But we can only accomplish that with you or helps. Please send all the porn you find to our in turn. And I has an intern email address and see that's what I mean about pumped n. You can tell if what you're looking at is a joke or real, but as I spent time on the site myself, I can tell you it's definitely not family friendly.

I saw way too many buttles while I was there for sure, and the site has a strong resembLance of force in which is known for being the underbelly of the internet, where the cum use of content is posted and shared, but have even four times has rules. And I said in on the very first twitter spaces that pump ed fund held, ten thousand people joined IT and the cruise question got asked um this question actually contains a square word. So if you don't want to hear, wear words.

skip ahead two minutes. One last thing I seen, I seen you guys getting a lot of foot about this. And I was I was very curious about IT because I was trying to defending your on guidelines.

What do you guys think about guidelines? Because I seen a lot of people doing crazy stuff on pump fun, me included. You know what you guys add any guidelines or safety precautions on your website to fight or so OK. So first all I think like our E S, we're like super pro free speech. We want as much go if is anything illegal or um sort of out right sort of legal basis of powerful m like we have to take a that right like we we can't have that running like both as a mortal obligation and obligation like we don't want to be just stating anything but anything like anything on the platform. Um so yeah that's that way.

Um as you know, surprisingly our sort of um we have like we would so of have like this moderation team like that and surprisingly there hasn't been anything um so too shocking but always always be prepared to the worst case I thing get for you saying the legal stuff and you know basically mother moderating what happens on pump fund. I had an idea and you know since I get i'm talking to pump fun right now, can you guys tell me if this is illegal now it's an idea of for a pump fun I was thinking about well, I was thinking about fucking a girl live on pup fun tonight because my birthday tomorrow. So I darted, be super exciting and crazy and different.

But is that illegal or not? I'm genuinely asking. Is something that i'm, i'm, i'm very serious about.

Girl is coming over. Is that illegal? Is this something that I can put on pump phone voting a girl life? Um okay very good question. I mean okay let's put this way like we are very free speed speech orients. Um obviously some sexual content does exist um on on on the web um so yeah I hope you should take answer as we sort of um say basically so you I love you guys so much. Thank you so much for having you appear sa pog and alan alegria or something.

An interesting link earlier there was something smoking that on one of these live streams for money is actually tweet here. There are smoking math on what has happens .

on on a new cycled decrepit pointed out the pump fun a since some pretty nearly stuff uh, Young teenager got his mom to bounce her boobs on camera to pumpkin. And when he got IT to pump, he sold his so stake in IT. And then there was another guy who went live after creating the truth or dare token, and someone dared him to cover himself in isa proper alcohol and then shoot fireworks at himself.

And so he did IT. The guy set himself on fire and burned. Pretty bad.

He was rushed in the miami hospital. We suffered third degree burns on a large portion of his body. People do some pretty wild stuff on pump.

So he started to have comes with the ethics of this project and is questioning if this is even something he should be working on. Then on top of that, he started to get upset with the team and decided to move out of the communal living space and .

get an apartment. Decide from all these long in insurance about money. I was looking good money.

But the thing is, like, I, because I am back with any party, not anymore. I'm twenty one days over today. Like I am not. Thank you.

ready? I much other, I survived this or deal not, not drink myself to death. But for a while there was, I was for north rails.

So I had the money, and I got this apartment. I got in this apartment. I didn't like you very much. Little I know, kind of extend ed special central, my approaches and shit um however, I was very good, please.

I want to different like immediately I asked for them to square up to the the day of month that I had d worked with the to the month. So I gets some money to find a Better carbon. They said, no.

I said, uh, can you like why they look like preferential treatment at this point? We are feel that people working now, when you the CEO, I did mention almost there that I was going me a weekly pays, which you would help me a lot. I would not have been in a situation, however, with one eventually, and h up is up and can pay bonuses is now like bonuses, everyone is.

And so with a head full of alcohol and the lack of A D H D, mads and the depression from the loss of his mother and being in an apartment with mice and rats and atti is totally unfamiliar. And working for this mega profitable crypto startup, which wasn't online ing with his ethics and morals, everything swelled together in the focus for Jerry. Did you did you know what you're about to do like you ware of your actions at all?

So to a port converter, I was aware what is doing the anyway of the illegality matches. I don't know any this follow would happen. I don't know that policy care.

I didn't. I didn't think this through. I really did so um unforced.

I am, I am I going to deal with the the professions match. I don't worn there are consequences to actions. So I am just resigned to IT.

So where does this begin? You like to see the vulnerability in the code and then just decide to exploit as soon as you find IT.

yeah. And I funning fn enough. I did report as a couple of weeks before that there was just no action to depression or fix up.

We use the developer.

I know, but I reported IT. I tried to tell the co.

and like, know yourself, like you should fix this.

that busy yeah. So cheer up. Now, I mean, cheer up. This hack is probably .

one of the more complex tax i've ever talked about. I didn't understand IT when jerod explained IT. I didn't understand IT what I read an article explaining that I didn't understand IT when I asked my D G.

And friends to explain IT and took a long time of me reading article after article, trying to fully grasp what happened. And our summer is is just for the geeks up pair who like to aspects like me, when a token is made on pump fun, IT pretty much just just available on pump fun. But when enough people buy IT, IT then gets graduated to radium, which is a dex, a dealie exchange.

And this makes them a little bit more official because it's on this decentralized exchange now. And so for the to graduate out of pump fun into the dex pump fund sends a bunch of salona along with IT in order to fund the liquidity poor on the desk. So what Jerry did is he took out a flash loan and bought all the tokens needed to graduate the same coin over to the decks.

And then he immediately sold the mean, going to pay back the flash loan. Then, using his insider access, he redirected with the salona was supposed to go. Instead of IT going to the decks, IT went to somewhere that he controlled. This would allow him to take anywhere from one to eighty salona coins every time he could get a coin to graduate out of pump fun and onto the radium deaths.

But being geert wrote a little program to try to do IT to not just one, ten or twenty, but thousands, tens of thousands of pump fund mean coins, because every time he could get one of them moved over to the deck, he could make a few thousand dollars. So he wrote this programme, executed IT, taking without thousands of flash loans, pumping projects and redirecting this later that was supposed to go to the dex to somewhere else he controlled. Then he immediate sold the mean coins to pay the long back. On may sixteen of two thousand and twenty four, he decided he was going to execute this program. IT was all built and ready, and once triggered, red IT was just automatic try to hit as many mean coins as possible on pump fun.

I was not thinking, right, right. I was just that out of IT that I didn't stand was going on. I know what. It's very .

interesting any any idea why why you are so out of IT? What do you .

mean by out of a probable probably the medications about six months do IT I am died no kids effective person with opening disorder um White boller and ny source person now ter and uh ending on you talk to A D D, the new cycle report, the new cyc report. Please need to have one diagnoses he doesn't think psychotics, no other so long, long over however, he thinks just A H D, and may be nicked first and he just because IT so guys, I do you called stack overflow .

he is a memory .

league in that's divide is my room my no life insure was two thirty six bits of confusion um yes.

that was a lot. You just made me like a whole bunch of diagnostics one after .

another ah here. Well, the first one was more than more than ten years ago that the last two years of my life have spent more than two years in austral or or present more long term a ostro 啊 grounds。 I guess I like our residences or programs.

I read through gerets z psychiatric report. IT was conducted on him to see if he knew what he was doing at the time of this hack. The report is kind of dark.

The dude was addicted to cocaine his whole life, but he had been off IT for the last three years. He's been hospitalized for mental issues six times in the last three years. One was just to go through the excruciating detox from cocaine.

And in the report, he admitted to attempt suicide a few times by taking too many meds. He often has these extreme cases of paranoia where even the small, lest things can trigger, ate like he gets fluctuations. Sometimes little.

everyday, manageable events become not manage. And like, even, even so, care all that just ms, it's a slippy slopes to and insanity, really.

The psychological report says that the day he did the hack, he was aware enough to know what he was doing, but not aware of the legality of body was doing. It's kind of like the spotlight of consciousness was only focused on the here now, and no light was said on the possible future or the consequences. You see this vulnerability, you have this episode, a psychotic episode and you're like, oh my gosh, let's see. Let's see if this can work. I don't really care like, I mean, do you have do you have kind of IT i'm figured about that I know before pushing enter.

Well, yeah, that's to think the blow dry before crushing anner. I'm lad. You phaed IT like that because I was quite the like a leading up today.

I I got here again. I I couldn't. The building is them. I thought I have the stuff I did like certain move to a cafe, falby and stuff like I to stick around and look around the court. I couldn't see me.

And stuff have been the very moment I was hovering over the enter key, right? I step back and I said, well, well, let's just just think a bit per second this let's draft a treat tweet here and so too, I was actually a thing for post region IT was here i'm going to show you to got two point one million years. Ah, this is the three IT basically summarises my thoughts at every moment.

Now, magic, everybody, be cool. This is a robbery. What IT do stack exact. I'm about to change the course of history and then right in jail. And I insane, and I will very much.

Now, do I want anything my mom raised from the dead? And barring that life in Opera, okay, so you need string and series of twists and you have two point two million views are saying, yeah, so you knew, you knew this was going to steal money. Who do you think is going steal money from the users .

that the things they have, I limited the damage is, and after they could paid by the users? That's not a big deal giving up that now.

Um did you have any estimate and how much money you would be stealing?

Forty million, forty million. Now.

so I IT isn't.

wait, about eighty million, but I was just been sold.

if done right, this highly is gona seal forty million dollars with the salona from the users of pop fun in his treat. He even goes so far to say that might cause a salona outage, suggesting that this hack could be so catastrophes as salona that IT causes a chain split similar to what happened to A A theoria clastic.

I don't know why I said so for thing that people people later about IT consulting these days, they got this thing still in cy and in thinking here, cause the former, it's just very interesting that people think and Better I mean, that that was I was I was always in not .

well on the eras okay, so you you write to tweet and then hit .

dinner yeah the circular phone call on telegram open over games with install telegram. Was that one walk on the circles and I running on a battery? One, one of the bodies coming to run by me.

And like, I even just put my hands in a beat side. But he, like, remey by me and look both ways down the road and ran often in different. That s my ends that I I should get cover god protecting in that instance. So let's go.

gets recover. This program was working fallest ly. He was taken out flash on pumping projects until IT flip over the and sellers points to pay backs of flash loan and then redirect in the alone a that was supposed to go to the dex.

But here's the thing. His program had one other trick up its sleeve. His mission wasn't to make money.

He wanted to be dramatic and theatrical, remember? So his hack was programmed to send the coins. He was getting to random salona projects that he likes.

In fact, he never had possession of the stolen salona at any time. They were automatically redirected to random people in the world. And he had thousands of wallets that he was sending. This money too.

About twenty five total I addresses, twenty five total I addressers that could potentially aggress funds. I did those. Only about two thousand did.

Again, I have to hit everybody. Once rivers are just very in talking. I actually ask somebody, somebody is, who do you believe to be more deserving? Subset of use is hundreds of pump fund coins were .

getting hit by this. And as the script continued running, thousands were getting hit. The owners of fun quickly became aware that their sight was under attack. And we're looking for gertz.

But at that point, someone gave gertz some money and he checked into a hotel room, not even a block away from the offices, to try to lay low for a while. And i'm just trying to catch your emotional reaction when you are seeing IT actually working. And like IT, IT worked.

I I didn't anticipate deal. I mean, is that the first? Okay, the first one went went through. I was a good and then IT there is a obvious ly multiple line doing these on the action.

Ginnees lives many thousands talk and to whatever went like early attempts, right? Because again, many hundreds of thousand and total that fails. I guess I was more worried about getting the thing to have more successful transactions, the money.

But I again, somebody is diagnosed prisoner with A S, B D in potentially experts. Now I don't really understand motion the way the most will be. It's more text than it's more.

It's more, uh, I don't process emotion is what I yeah how does that work? It's like on the moon and up telescope. And I can kind of witness of what other people go through by viewing them to the telescope. And I can emulate this best as I can come off pretty well. But I really have no idea what i'm doing is just the regulation that .

a very longer pum fund creators couldn't stop IT. They wanted to, but simply had no tools to compare this. And they just SAT there staring at the devastation unfolding.

Thousands of salona tokens were being taken and redistributed to random salona projects. Eventually, the pump fund came up with the plan. They increase the transaction fees that were being charged on the site.

This way, every time jerod bought some pump fund tokens, he'd charged a ridiculous amount. And increase in fees actually did put in into this because of flash loans that jerk was taken out, simply couldn't cover the extra fees required to pumper token anymore. And even if IT did, I would likely make this plan be a lot less profitable.

So somewhere between thirty to sixty minutes in the elaborate and wild robbery of pump fund came to, geert was able to pill for twelve thousand six hundred salona coins at the time and send them all toronto addresses, other projects that he thought were deserving of the money. He didn't keep a single token for himself. In total, IT is about two million U.

S. Dollars worth of salona. So the victims here were the people who were using these these coins on pump fine. They had their liquidity stolen.

Pump fund had to take responsibility for this and spend their own money putting back to liquidity into these projects that got at stolen from. So in the end, the biggest loser here is actually pump fun. And they were mad.

They learned pretty early on that jury must have been behind this, his sudden disappearance, strange behavior. And while tweet were close alone, but treating this through, they also could see that he was an insider who was redirecting the funds. So they called the police to help them hunt down in a rest jit.

Two days later, they found me. Few days later, actually they found me again, ninety meters from the office. They see somebody do with my sisters house in canada.

Uh, yeah. In that time there is a private, was called international security service, was hired, defined, which is why found magas. But I was just in the burger across the street, I mean, and I saw me and reported to in the warning.

culpable that somewhere in the middle of IT all, he discovered that his wallet was receiving huge amounts of minories. And he couldn't quite understand why by the time this was all over head, about six hundred thousand dollars, the mean coins in his wallet. But he just handed the private key of that wallet over to the pup fund because he wasn't trying to make money off this himself and felt like he already made the .

day and he was trying to make the morning I was sleep most bleep show up you were going not another personal, even as m and the in is gentleman and his colleges and stuff, I venture, went to go pick up the spot of full of whole water to promise the whole water I did not on the arrest at this point and I think you put the bottle down I just want to it's sure if you thank you know where the check for I ve leone since that the reporter the legal party said that are ten divide and three quick and they were worried to destroy the evidence you upon the police arrival body will provide the uh in the next station uh state overnight they saw in the morning of psychology of three psychology tion we said that probably you should answer questions I really Better serve of myself and I have not had medication to answer questions and so that's what happened then I was an awesome for month. I came out. I was little my rent pay my rent bills as that be here in years since um got drunk er to my state people and then said when my leader stop drinking, started doing recovery groups and happens over and .

the court looked at his case and decided that have received a maximum of fourteen years in prison for this and a minimum of seven how .

do you feel about that? I i'm not already pissed that i've been three words and it's unfortunate i'm glad mom on to see this I really have my reservations about my misses knowing that in jail that will suck for them but only as um yeah I am not I I see no issue this is a good jail I am but no jail but it's k and like the four um this like you can get a degree there's like libraries are fine, can buy babes yeah in you'll be fine, will be fine be fine thing is like I I big for the week I just the tweet like a big like at at that point anything was Better than living with the road is my here and um my point I really just did you with the things anymore I don't preferable to this and I stupid thing and now now I got to face music you really .

are a character out of like search, commute. Cafe car something .

mice and rat .

made me drove me crazy to the point where I A committed a crime to go to jail for seven years but at the same time I wanted to spread the wealth that everyone else .

who deserved. IT, this is ridiculous. This is all fact.

I will be, give your welcome to your research and gross reference. But this is, this is a series of vents. exactly.

Don't you even know what a thing about this?

First.

how do you want this story to end? Like you're gonna go to jail and you're going to be watching the news and work news. Are you hoping to see I I .

know variably that they're going to run off with the money at somebody all of the user funds.

which is much hold on. It's kind of around they said that because when you go to the site, pumped up fun, a pop up shows up and IT says pump prevents rugs by making sure all created tokens are safe. They say they're the ones preventing rugs, but you're saying, no, they are going to run poll.

I I believe I, I, I have from firm yeah, that last part that really.

really word IT says all created tokers are safe. What you talking about? Should I be concerned they aren't safe? Like if I go in my bank's website.

IT doesn't say we promise your money safe here. Class act, I firmly believe, but there not. They go to essentialize version themselves. They pitch themselves, is the next to x the first time. This is really long, sorry, but I guess in the nutshell, I really, I really wish .

that I could .

have some effect where I limit the image is this time around, but I guess I would not be able to.

Well, IT is kind of ironic. That chair thought the site was going to rug everyone else, but he rugged them first. Like, really, he is the one who took money from the users. You know, I was only the site, I had .

to reimburse everyone. So I guess I T, I, hi, uh, to be exactly what IT is and I am firmly against that. IT will be what I everybody doesn't expect parents are.

And so um yeah they believe that money to be there. I know they have T L. IT was eight million.

You may sixteen for whatever expansive more now probably. And so IT will be IT will be made him in couple. I don't hope for that. I just know that will happen. Um so gertz thinks .

the owners of the site are going to rug pull all the users of pup fund, take all the money that's locked into the site and close up. But IT seems like the sites making a lot of money. So i'm not not sure, like why about your cash cow, you know, but this was gertz whole point to try to warn everyone before that happens and to be dramatic and theatre about IT.

I, I, I, I seem sold trying that I was in the right and my guys still, I still swear that I find by my genius here, like, like, even in that letter that I I ve just read this that time I need to be honest, I do not feel responsible for the damage caused.

The Better corporation limited of like y've been earning in north of one million quitted day from the systemic exploration of friends and family of people posting unregular to go to the site, each you never dig, there is absolutely no different than they have not rescued many times over. I petitioning you, you're honor, to consider the relative of harm here. While my actions may cause temporary disruption, the ongoing practices of the tonn corporation limited pose a far greater and more sustained for the individuals and families. Were annoying and from it's boyband schemes.

So Jerry played guilty and even admit guilt on twitter, which got two million views. And I was all set that on october twenty, twenty, twenty four, he was going to be sentenced. However, last minute he changed his mind and he asked his lawyers to vacuum his guilty plea.

And they'll like seriously, and they quit. Anyone represent him anymore? So he told the court he's changing his money, he's not guilty, which now means there's a much bigger process ahead for this case and IT might take months to solve.

So see where gert ends up in the next few months. And this epsom was really hard to make because pump fund is always changing. Just before is about to publish this.

There was a surge in new users are pup fun. And along with that came a surge of new live streamers. And things got pretty wild.

Some guy was holding a gold fish at gunpoint, saying by my coin, or kills a fish. Another guy was live streaming himself, pooping for four days. He was sitting on the twelve for four trade days, trying to pup his coin.

Another guy locked himself in a dog cage until his coin would had a certain prize. And someone else looked a grama in a cage until the coin would had certain Price. I saw a photo, but i'm pretty sure that was fake.

Another guy was firing his gun out the window every time the going went up a certain amount. And I also heard reports of some live streaming bestiality. And there were reports of people threatening to shoot their pet dog and less str coin pumps.

And I heard the reports that there was someone live streaming threatening to shoot their family unless they are coin got to a certain height. And someone live streaming themselves tied a rope around their neck, saying, unless they're coin is a certain amount, they are going to themselves and the point didn't make IT. So he hung themselves s but then as the stream continued, some viewers were like, now I can see your hand moving that fake bro.

Anyway, all this Sparked now cry on twitter, especially from the crypt to community saying, well, pop fun, you've got people killing themselves on camera. You need to make some rules, guys. You're going to ruin everything. On top of that, the pump fun team themselves was actively taking down live streams that had repulsive or dangerous content, and IT got to be too much. The pump fund team simply couldn't keep up with the consent stream of awful content that they are trying to remove.

So they turned off the live streaming feature altogether and issued a statement think they simply can't moderate effectively with the current user base size, and they need scale up their moderately abilities and make IT clear what's allowed and what's not allowed before allowing life dreaming back on. All I can say is, I think this is just pup funds origin story. I don't know what's gonna en next but almost feels like one of those internet moments that i'm tuned in to now and i'm onna have a box of popcorn ready for .

whatever happens next as I met a IT was a pledge ah if you do get around to publishing this, I just wanted say that uh I um recommend everybody get some more fun and more time to you guys as well. Thank you. So i'll take good advice for you. Thank you. Thank you. Just about stupid.
