I'm so excited to show me. Can we just show me now? Can we can we show me the time now at least?
yes. So okay, we're going to you're going to see a poster at some stage and we will get to that. Um but the poster is is different than the actual youtube thune il yeah and so what your back to sy is the thumb now for the trailer but what you're also getting is the for the first time the title of dark. okay. So what I said, I can't believe we're doing this.
Welcome to recycle .
and welcome we have arrived. Yeah, oh, man, what a terrible day.
IT actually, like, IT was so good.
I really was like ten minutes ago. Well, I wouldn't be asked if we didn't have horrible technical difficulties. Fect record for real.
I was no longer perfect. Yeah there was like chords missing. We were like because we've been so busy with the dog we're working on, we have been like anticipating, are waiting for accord specifically for the set. And I bought .
on amazon. So yeah like going to take two weeks. We usually .
record on friday and this amazon delivery not in the frick on sunday.
and we're gonna a be busy during that time. So that's just not gonna out. Huge recycle been for you today, just the biggest episode probably so far.
which is upsetting for a second because six .
years i'm tired, so tired speaking, recycle bin being around for six years. I have news for you. This is episode number ten of the new run, right? sure.
We are only two count one, two episodes away from matching our record. So back in twenty eighteen and a launch the first time we did the total of twelve episodes. If we can get to thirteen, that's A T milestone. That's really good. I mean, we did other episodes that like but I was like years later back.
but that was the longest streak.
That was the longest strike we had. Well.
we will say a undertakers was longer.
Undertakers was much longer. Yeah.
right. We trying to, the new guys, this epsom recycle bin, we are going to cover where bullshit for a while. Then when we got some voice miles from from the audience, you guys. And then after that, we're get into some serious talks about the next project and maybe a little treat.
maybe the most chaotic week um in terms of like a single project and everything surrounding IT. There's so many people involved, it's insane. So we excited to tell you about that. You'll get your first sort of look at uh at what's common. You guys got to be the first to see IT as well as uh, some special patriots stuff.
I yes oh yes, it's true how you been I mean outside of work.
I haven't been .
outside of work. Um honestly the only the only reason I have been even like relaxing a little bit is a new classic well thing well, this is like this is like the most I don't know if you have this. I feel like maybe the audience does but like there's like a few choice video games or pieces of media in my life that are like exceptionally important that makes sense.
Like it's like, okay, other games come out and then about video games, other games out and i'll and it's like, well, I didn't like blank, blank and blank about that or a movie comes out. I'm like, man, that was great except for like h this and this similar thing uh wow is my special game the lord rings films and book, you know uh are like my special films yeah so like I confirm, I don't have any criticism about those movies. And I got no criticism specifically about like old war of aircraft.
Like i'm talking like two thousand six era. And that is like what i've got rereleased a few days ago, unlike the twenty. My god, I only remember. No, no, I was yesterday. I was yesterday.
oh my god, he was in your .
mind yesterday. Yeah, yeah. I mean, everybody got to log on and reserving your name because there's like thousand people to deal. I burnt. I was like the service when online was like pumped in and in my first thing to burn like IT that's like, yeah as my first thing I do.
I feel like A I know for sure we have said this before, but there's always new people that have no idea why we're all jen .
burn yeah hidden e hate him with the story uh.
so you know, for those unaware, we went to high school together yeah so we have been best friends in tii school uh, soon after graduating uh, I don't know what from page tech was technically made yet. But uh, I just start call you burn and then you start call me john and return and that just stuck forever. I don't think we realized that was just gonna be how IT was now .
and before that. Like I now remembering because I honestly like IT wasn't present in my mind to talk like we used to just say stuff stupid, like even when we message each other, it's it's still over. It's never like, hey, would you like to get pizz for dinner or like him coming over to watch? Would you like pizza? He goes, bird, i'm got pizza.
Beata stone. And like spe, like e like if our chats league, yeah, we'd be totally fine because no one can understand anything that we say.
It's like a different language. Do you didn't even mean to do IT, but you perfectly secreted into like .
the next thing I want definitely to do IT. IT was on purpose. I'm a professional welcome.
I was having a an internal discussion with myself this morning when I was like getting ready for the day. Um I need a haircut, okay. And I know you do too.
okay. And that because I don't think you've said this anywhere. A genus spar, I don't know. Um we have both started cutting our own hair yeah like you cut your own hair and I .
cut my own hair .
yeah and we are you're going to love this. No, I was just thinking .
about the stuff right there and I cannot see from here. So I no idea .
what is I was thinking about, like we're so in tune and like we're good buds and everything I was like, is there really anything else online like us like this, like the budget, like how close your friends we are? Red link. Red link. That's literally my first response, and I feared that would just make you happy.
Yeah, there are the color, more successful .
versions of us pretty much. I also feel like if there were gonna be other creators that were like best friends like this, and they would also be once to cut their own hair, I feel .
like would do that. I can. I don't cut your hair. You don't cut my hair. Good thing being like next in line is that writing link .
after retired at some point.
So we they are kind .
of fuck in old there.
Yeah, we're just talking about how now when we p, we don't actually know if it's like p walk away from that and be like, yeah is there was I done yeah why do I feel more and I have to go p that's like that's a new thing experience ing yeah yeah being old .
yeah I don't know why. I'm surprised that things are changing like when we turn thirty.
But IT happened immediately. I didn't have anything like this at twenty nine, and I would make jokes like everything changes the third, but literally everything about my life changed the second I hit thirty. That's why all those years that was scared of that.
Yeah, like even in my like circle, like you and my wife and whatever, like I eat terribly and I have like I feel I used to have like a pretty like iron and stomach doing this. I'm just talking in my hands but now like if I have mick Donald and I just like the greek and alone fucking puts me down. I'm rect. I got I like have mcDonald. I should provide take some peptide, some peptide and in like expectation.
So we I mean, I don't know if it's technique, I guess that maybe started for healthy reasons but we drink zero sugar soda and that's not like, yeah it's healthier but that listen, man, everything that should .
be the default oh.
that's if you're drink in soda and you're not drinking zero sugar soda, your G S poisoning yourself every time a little necessary IT taste the same. And if you want those people, I could do a different shut up. I mean, IT, maybe you could taste a tiny little difference, especially between like a regular a diet.
But the zero sugar stuff usually uses a different sweetener that taste a lot closer to sugar. Yeah, you're right. And if you and even if IT taste a little bit different, is IT worth to poison the calories.
Yeah, what is the kind of look like a hundred and sixty calories or something like.
something like that and it's not even I mean, the calories is just that part of IT but you drinking can full of sugar for yeah and then you wonder why you feel .
like shit all the time there was somebody did like how much how much sugar is in coke oh.
like a physical yes yeah.
Look at this. All there goes, finally works.
Uh, can you pull that up? Okay, telly.
Uh, thirty nine grams of coke. I don't feel like .
a uh I I said that to say that um I also cannot drink room temperature things. I think that's horrible and disgusting so um I just had an order come in of of twelve packs of soda yeah put him in the fridge. They weren't cold so I had to grab an existing can of regular py right it's disgusting.
I can feel I can feel the film of sugar all in my mouth. And I know tomorrow gonna wake up and my joints, you're gonna hurt. okay?
I mean, that's probably the he's fault every time of sugar. I can feel that the next day that feels like now my mind hung over with my body ung you being serious? I'm one hundred percent serious.
Yeah, really. yeah. That's crazy. That's the first thing.
I'm not perfect. I will definitely consume sugar. Like that happens still.
You love Candy. I, I love sour Candy. Yeah, warheads.
But when I started losing the way that the first thing I noticed was that because .
my back always t and .
my back does not hurt anymore since I started cut and sugar out. Yes, yes. So it's like I bet it's a bit more apparent or extreme when you are cut off of sugar and then you have even a little bit because zero to sugar is a lot of sugar.
yes.
So yeah, just IT hurts. If I could give one advice. One is a single advice. One piece of advice. IT would be to cut sugar out or .
try your best. I think it's just .
good advice for life is on trying to kill us.
burn, they might succeed. Are you happy with the amount of bullshit we've done?
Yeah, i'm happy. Oh, I guess we should say for the audio listeners, if you haven't heard the news, youtube dot com lashers cycle bin will take you to this podcast. There's a video version, like an actual video version.
Now I know we said you also watched on youtube previously and you guys what I was just like a still frame in some way forms, you can actually see us. We have a little set. Uh, you can and you can watch.
We listen. We tried to resist you. We really wanted to do this. Are you only but you guys, you wanted video. So and we are, we are men of the people.
We are. That's very true. Um and like this is the current video said, but as you could see if you watching the video, there is quite a bit of mess right around here. Yes, this we were freaking out about the missing cords that we're expecting from amazon. I am annoyed that this thing is on the desk.
is not supposed to be was on the desk.
So that's just my little grape about our situation is .
a little messy in the table. But uh, second ago, we could not get the camera turn on. So you know and .
i'll be real. We still don't know .
why it's all right now. That's all that matters. Lucky.
I promise you were professionals.
So is this is a bit of a community show. This is the the audience. This is your show.
This is your opportunity to talk to us, ask us anything here from us, and we'd love to hear from you the number to call in is four or four, nine, one, nine, five, five, three, zero. You call that number. You can leave us a voice mile. And if it's a good question, a good voice, mee.
you might make IT on next week show yeah or if .
I just like to cut your b so we like to cut your b burn well, burn. Choose is the voice music. Get on the show. I haven't heard any of them.
yeah. Here we have a few. I listen until all of them a promise um we just have limited time.
Sometimes we try to pick thematic ones. You mean, oh, we just relevant in the conversation. okay.
I see some yes, speaking of I was actually kind of waiting when I brought up how important war of to me. I was kind of expecting you to offer up your own important media. But if you would like, do that, yeah, go here. And curious, honestly, A T V shows. Okay, uh, just to preference, like the way I A included, like I have no criticism about this shitty old video game and like the load of the rings films, they're like special and I can't even find IT in myself like I love him exactly as they I don't want nothing changed .
so that of my they would .
probably ly be wrestling then yeah like this is something you love like completely .
objectively yeah well like I can be objective but I am a bit more forgiving because like I understand IT yeah a little bit more than I probably should um but to me wrestling ww in specific is like the greatest form of entertainment that has ever been created. Every piece of the arts that you could like, or B, F, ana is incorporated into one experience that happens fifty two times a year if if you're going to live shows.
But I can just televised. There's no, there's no off season, nothing like that. No season finit just constant all the time.
And no matter what's going on, throughout the years of my life, you i've seen a lot of I saw john scena. They do, and i'm gonna see him retire. And that's like a just a very unique experience that you can really get anywhere else.
yes. Yeah I guess with football, but like way less cool. And like I hear with the ball.
you don't know who's going to win the game. You hear me it's funny. Like I almost wanted to say that I don't want this to turn into like a restful podcast because I know that like a lot of people, for some reason really dislike IT as a medium.
They're wrong. I know why was just going to say, like I wanted to say that then I thought about feel that way. And like, I wonder why that is, why is IT that, like, restrooms is so polarizing?
Well, I know that when we were kids, IT was a .
bit more taboo.
taboo. Like when we were kids, IT was the attitude error OK. And that's one thing started. Get a low range on T, V, and that sort of thing on T. V was new.
And so trying to keep .
IT away sex and around that time is just started coming out that it's fake, right? I forgot that that was that that like discredited the whole thing for people. They thought I was real and then I was. But the part of IT, the fact that it's quote, code, fake, scripted.
it's the part is the coal part? Yeah like I remember being in like an ignorant little kid and thinking restroom was lame and herding to restless fans like, you know, to fake right like trying to get them a but like, obviously they did yeah, they like that and it's like, loves restroom is in on IT and I mean, you know that oh yeah, yeah. I love IT.
Now I can't wait. We're we're watching back here. Alright, but anyway, I just wanted to get to see my trouble, chief. So I got to do IT too. Okay.
voice miles, alright, a guys that silvan from california. Hey, not a tech related question. But I want to know what marial art character you play as, what is your configuration and what is your favorite track? And mario cart, no, you love maria cards. So which character are accepted? Vice, what question?
I know. Thanks, savan. We've had him a few times. Thank you for not being about an iphone. yeah. Well, I was just going to say like I don't mean we didn't featured server .
on a couple times, man, just questions. Now I know now that you put .
that right IT. Like do you how did you like we we mentioned that before that we love mario card, but just he snapped at the perfect time because we have gotten more into that game than ever before. recently.
It's good to wedding. Like, okay. So he asked what are like a combination is um we are firmly for the most part in like the U U. I hive mind like with like the yeah for anybody doesn't play mario cards, you can choose from all the different mario characters from all the universe.
And that sounds cute but that matters to .
and more yeah they have different stats like donkey on the big guy. He has higher speed uh but yeah he is known to be the sweet character like the try hard character for the most part, some of the best dats overall, whatever. Uh, so we are part of that. And then we also use, like the generic best carts and .
wheel and yeah glide.
teddy, teddy something, teddy.
teddy buggy, mr. study.
Yeah, all that stuff. A because we like the game and for those who have played mario card, you know it's a fuck in nightmare like if you're playing and just for fun yeah it's like you could be in first the whole time and then you have one bad like ten second situation and you're done that's a tough place you lost yeah but for us I love that yeah you love the chaos um we just went out and boat special controllers for mario card because they give you the best drift angles because we did that you you me maybe more so.
But both of us we've been doing time trials, which is for anybody familiar, was like the video game speed running. That's like the closest comparison. IT just finished, ed, the lapse on the courses as quick as possible.
My my favorite track that i'm working on. Oh man, I forget my placement in the world, but I think of my top five hundred time in the world for you. I circuit.
yeah, I was thinking that too because, I mean, I don't think this is my favorite course, but the one that i'm time trAiling is tup beach. Yeah I don't know. That's my favorite though.
Like yeah.
I really love mario circuit a lot and that's that's .
the one that I forget what cup IT is like. We're really into IT, but we're mostly like getting really into IT. And I now we haven't been doing much marial carding because of work. Yes.
it's been in insane few weeks.
So yeah but but now where we're really into IT, it's it's big. So thanks all the question.
So ven leave become a dumbo. What you fig?
Yeah I would love to know because I feel like I saw a report or a number that like mario card for the switch is still like one of the most popular games for that console even came out years ago.
Yeah, and i've been really excited here leaks about the switch too. But I also cannot blame intendo like it's selling like crazy. They just put out ads for the holidays for the current switch that's almost a decade old yeah I think that came twenty sixteen.
That's crazy and there's still and you know what do you barely notice? IT like, yeah in the menu and stuff you yeah it's like, okay, this this this tech is a little push onate, but when you're in the game, the things that they're able to do with that hardware makes no sense. Mario cart looks incredible.
Maro car. T, at the luck we just had, like for anybody who's been around a long time, we used to have a show called brow time that was named after a that's when we when we hang out because I don't know why we have to have a special name, everything when we hang out and it's like a special event like we hang out late at night and go, you know late, eat a bunch of city food yeah we call a brow time.
Let's have a Brown time uh so we found that only thing that separates from work time I guess you're right. Um when we broke time to recently, we through mario card on the projector sam stupidity close IT was not made to be too IT looked awesome. I feel like I was in IT yeah in the switch at best output it's like ten A D P. And you know it's like handheld hardware really that looked fucking awesome. Yeah, i'm impressed .
cking I wait for the switch to switch. All the nerds complained that it's not powerful enough and it's and IT ells like crazy .
but it's something just blink.
that our life just blink IT look like IT that's awesome.
It's the love IT more I S most the best.
I was just so, so good, nice and an option. And you, I got to do IT though state burns should moderate genius fly, no, keep you keep them in under control. I have talk about something.
Give IT like A M B S D 的 day or so was an option。 what? That man just loves chaos. He wants chaos. I'm sorry, I didn't really .
get to hear his name. I kind of broke up there. And we're listening to these, unlike macbook speakers.
Uh, great question. Um hilarious. Like good time. This yeah because well, for one, we're getting a lot of .
comments the life fucking and is blinking again. I'm going to lose my mind. I'm going to lose IT.
Um we've been getting a lot of comment on recycle, been comparing and contrasting recycle.
been ingenius bar.
And like for those out there, like first of all, me moderating between new and ten is hilarious. I I I think I like that idea. So that might happen, we'll see.
But for those out there who are maybe like what's the difference here, john? I'm an inquiring fan. yes. What's the difference between your podcasts?
Uh genius bar is far more apple centric, like that's what it's about. It's covering that week's apple news and that is the extent sometimes you know you get some youtube talkers and personal talk at the end. Uh IT is really IT is really for people looking for apple material, apple content.
They want to hear commentary on on what's happening or they want to find out what's happening. Maybe they wait to the end of the week to hear what the news is through genius bar. That sounds a terrible approach, but you could do that.
Uh, recycle bin is specifically if you're an fp t fan, I don't see much value and just listening to the show out of everything we make like I don't anticipate people just finding recycle bin without knowing what from page tech is really for you guys. It's the community show where we can talk about, uh, answer your questions, talk about you. I have a conversation but .
also just tell you what's .
going .
on in company.
I A burn and I have just been best friends for a very, very long time. And uh, I guess that's like you'll get a little bit of that here on recycle been too. Oh yeah.
I mean, we just talked about cutting our own hair and not being like a journey we did.
I just wanna say.
okay.
go ahead. I. I there's nothing worse in the world then having to get you her cut yeah I .
get i'm thirty and I get anxiety like having to go somewhere .
to fit that in IT. Go deal with people. There's a lot of things in life for you that's unavoidable when you have to deal to people.
But for men specifically like for women, that would be much hard. Oh yeah, I like, yeah, you girls do you that you know you got to do what you got to do. But for us with simple haircut, it's like why it's not about paying somebody.
It's literally about going there, sitting in a line and then then they try to talk to what I don't give a fuck. I will never see you again. I don't care.
So I cut my own hair is the best thing I don't have to. I can do whatever I want. I have to try to make time for IT. I don't have to think about IT. Sometimes i'm about to take a shower like you.
I right now touch up to you the same like a honestly, I the anxiety I get is even if I go to if I find a barber, I like which has happened and then they fucked and move or something and quit or um but even if I find the same person trying to get like the same haircut over and over or like the anxiety of like u this a little too short and it's like fucking and whatever, I such a mei yeah that's my thing. It's definitely .
nowhere, nowhere near as good as someone that is actually trained to cut your hair. But it's good enough and .
the more you do IT, the Better you're gonna. Yeah and you know like t .
take getting specially Better cutting my hair, I couldn't cut anyone is here that .
I might eventually be the best person in the world who can cut my here and that's pretty cool.
So yeah, we've been talking about having you as a guest on recycle bin because I would be a guest on the other one just bar. Yeah, right. It's been a day just gone genius far. yeah. A guest is one thing of moderators and anything that's funny that .
is that's a really you might get your wish one more voice.
Mae, oh, sorry, we had to keep cutting here because fuck kordan come. And when we plug a cord in IT shops, a search through the, we can hear, you can hear. So on step, we can take your help phone.
Hopeless, stood back. Speaker, okay, and burn different from pensylvania. Again, i'm a bit of a nerd. I just wondered if this is something you've met might want to consider. So there's like sometimes people can do physical releases of things.
I don't know if you guys would consider doing like a physical release for your a documentary or anything like that. I think i've be pretty cool. I ve really in to something like that and you guys talked about one merge coming up soon.
So maybe you could include like physical release, like DVD type things of a bunch of your documentary too. I think that call idea just give me up on that. Thanks, 拜拜。
Awesome question. Thanks honor for a good question, honor. Yeah uh it's a great safeway question too. But I that yeah what a .
cool idea .
I am gonna be real until that like keeps flicker um until I heard his question this all week but I know I until I heard his question, I never even considered selling like a blue right?
I mean he sounds a terrible idea yes, because physically is dead. But specifically as like a like I I could follow through with that giving c almost like specie, especially the blue is were signed by us personally. Like I don't want him to just buy a blue ray because that's like I don't know what the value is there. You could just stream IT you know yeah if it's signed by us and there's a bit of a personal touch that might be good to .
have yeah in your opinion. I don't know if you know anything about this honestly, but would there be a significant quality advantage to having something on physical media they .
get to get basically the quality we see in the edit?
Yeah I mean, they have a lot of sites that like they don't really reduce the quality for stream that literally taken out of the conversation. Go ahead. fine. I was going .
to say .
there's a lot of sites you can upload to that offer like fairly or like a uncompressed. Yeah, but I guess you probably wouldn't be the same.
No um but like, uh, you know we see them in both. We see them in both stages. We see them in the added we have the compressed versions. Obviously, it's just like IT is definitely Better yeah but you know I was negligible problem yeah I would rather stream IT and buy a blue ray unless no, unless I was a fan of of somebody and they signed IT. Maybe a thing.
If we were going na release a physical media of any of our videos, I feel like we'd have to have IT wouldn't to be an all encompassing experience like maybe like posters maybe like it's like maybe you get like a little booklet of notes or something. I would be like a whole thing IT won't just be here's a case with a blue in IT day ago.
Well like yeah for this for this documentation release what you're going talk about the second yeah where we're marketing with a poster uh first time we done that and it's like IT .
looks like a legit .
is so fucking cool poster for a movie or documentary uh, and you know, I think I just I think I undersell us a little bit because I just I just know were just dudes yeah we and like, i'm why if why would we sell a poster? Would anyone want to buy a poster like this sounds, but i'm not them. They might want a poster IT. Listen, no matter what we think about what we make or about who we are, we're listening to you guys. So if that's something you want like that, tell us.
yeah no matter.
no matter what we think about IT, if it's something that you guys want and or make you happy, if we deliver IT, you know that something explore and .
will do IT anyway here yeah, I mean, everything we do is motivated by what you guys want like, we want stuff. But like in my mind, I was like, I can you keep us like will been an audio podcast yeah me too. But a lot of the feedback was like we would love to see video that was the most requested yeah and i'm so hype we did because I mean, as I from some issues yeah this looks like an awesome yeah and I like um just to like be kind of excited for a second. This is all set up with the screen behind us, everything we can watch videos s together we can react to shit one that's so cool.
I also love that it's not there's no multiple m. It's kind of simple but also cool. And I think you you mentioned that the way .
we're sitting IT makes like .
there to see happen before I S A sorry about morning, I am going we're going to send them to an outbreak yeah. And during the outbreak i'm going to fix this problem. If I can fix IT, I don't know.
We'll find out. I just before you fix IT, before you send him, I hope they come back and .
light just off I uh, when we come back, we're gonna give you A, I guess, the first look, the first tease conversation to what we're working on. Let you see something that you're only to be able to see on recycle. Ben, we're not like teasing IT anywhere else really.
We just want to talk with you guys. And if you you are spending your time with us and we really, really appreciate that. I mean, no matter how many people watch our main videos, I think it's the people that watch those ancho here to tell a little bit extra.
So you ve got a little bit extra after this sponsor break and after I lose my mind on this light. Okay, see you soon. Which one is IT?
This episode of recycle bin is brought you .
by master class. Did you know master class is the only streaming platform where you can learn and grow with over two hundred plus of the world's best? That's why wire tor calls this an enviable gift.
With master class, you can give somebody unlimited learning. Learn from any master c glass instructor anywhere on a smart phone computer, smart T, V, or even an audio mode journ. If you didn't know when we're making fp t dog, that dog stands for documentary.
A dog has have heard that. And luckily, wouldn't you know, master class has a class by one of the biggest members in the world. Ken burns never heard of him. He is the guy for every documentary you could imagine in regards to american history, everything, civil war. I mean, he is the guy.
But he also has a literal effect named after him, like the crop zoom and final cut. Yeah, this is the king burns effect. That's him. That this guy.
and he's got a class on master class, we've been enjoying that taking everything we can from IT to empower R F P T dogs. And you know, even if you're not making F P T dogs, we think you should do.
And when you say they made a huge difference on our documentary making, oh yeah, well, guess why eighty eight percent of members feel that master class has made a positive impact in their lives, no matter what they want to earn. You know that to learn about documentary cooking, a cross, anything.
And luckily for you, master class always has great offers during the holidays, sometimes up to as much as fifty percent off head over the major class dot com slash recycle bin for the current offer, that's up to fifty percent off at master class dcom flash recycle bin master class 点 com slash recycle bin thank you.
mr. class. Thank you. Are you walking back? We're back.
And I I don't know, I don't know the light. I think the lights fix. I don't know the lights fixed.
Hey, guys, if you see the lights to blink again.
let us can turn off. Oh, let us know. I will turn them the fuck off. I don't know what else to do. okay.
So been a crazy few weeks and has but yeah specifically IT has been a crazy week ah so when we started this dog. I am trying to give a psychopath people early stuff and also not revealed too much. Uh, when we started this, IT almost had like we had one expectation and we did IT has expanded far beyond that expectation. And I was like I just going to come out and tell you we've had a lot of issues sponsoring SE with this project.
Yeah, yeah. I maybe another way to say that would be we started in one direction. And as the dog was building and the script was building and the research was being done, IT started taking a the the mood changed a bit on the project. yeah. And IT took a tonal difference that turns out is a little hard to pitch, to took brands, to sponsors.
yeah. And like nothing, I can say anything negative about brands. Everyone has been so, so kind to us and .
excited to be clear and excited.
Yeah so like when we started this, know we had a how does he usually work? Is a sponsor lined up for that month and just kind of whatever video we make is what they're in yeah but in this case, I got IT got far away from us and IT IT became a much larger, more impact for project that I don't think fit how our sponsor structure was going. like.
I think it's worth much, much more. Yeah, I think this is our best video that we have ever made. I feel like I say that all the time.
It's no, it's very true. Like if not to over yeah, if you like the tim cook documentary, this shit is next level. Yeah ah it's probably going to be the best we released in a minute to be real .
yeah IT IT feels like if you were to see a like let's say you like a director, like a filmmaker and it's like, oh, wow, that's their first project. Look how nice in quint. And then it's like and then their second project where they learned everything from the first one that this is and i'm really trying .
to pull out all the stops here. It's like I think this is a perfect story that has landed in the lap of the perfect people to tell IT.
wow. Look at you to say that also really when you guys uh see IT and you you learn more about IT, the fact that launching a patch ion is kind of a necessary thing for the direction we are kind of going.
Yeah I mean, to be fair, you and I could have never anticipated covering some of the topics in the subjects that we're about to do as as a tech like and we made four jokes for living. That's what we did. Um and so uh the the conversations with sponsors expanded was pitched to them to uh I don't want say purchase the project but to be the main yeah the .
main sponsor because anybody could go out and get a bunch like a bunch sponsor yeah whatever. But like for clarity sake, like having one brand behind one project is just good for optics.
This is is crazy to talk to them about. Yeah so the trailer for this has been done for minute. And so that was mostly yeah, the trailer and the poster and our manager has been sharing IT, you know with brands, and that's been a unique approach.
The brands be able to see what they're buying into early. So to get the vibes early, and I mean, let's be real IT IT feels and looks legit like, yeah, very much want to be a part of this. At one stage they were.
There were three sponsors that wanted to fund IT the light blank kill me. H, I did. Yeah, there were three sponsors that wanted to fund IT um and then that begin like A A tiny .
little bit ding war and then .
IT feels like all of that changes sometimes overnight, like there was just a few days ago where one one brand was planned for this.
What they were out front, they were like we're going to take IT on yeah the whole project we just want to be the presenting yeah .
we and our manager like we're on i've been taking these calls personally like myself, which is usually just our managers or whoever was representing us do IT for us. But um I we are aware that this is unique different approach for youtube ads, a unique approach for for a project in general. And so we just wanted to like make sure we're transparent with everybody so everyone knows what to expect. Um I want to be close that every brand has been supportive this story and telling this story yeah um the the brand that we had on board initially um backed out due to their P R department sort of looking over some stuff and they just decided that yeah there are some subjects in the documentary that um IT may be tough for them um to have their .
logo on and I get that I M completely .
I like you know just .
to say they would say that we got the the bad news about them having to back out but he was also with like but we're excited. It's like for yeah .
and they didn't to be fair to them that then working with us in that capacity isn't that didn't go to and that happening is just IT hopefully for a more positive thing that will happen yeah in the coming months. Um so all the love to them uh you know when a brain like that sees and understands the vision and you don't have to explain why it's a big deal yeah uh that helps a lot. Luckily um nord pass is stepped up pass.
I just like they didn't pay for this. They didn't want a recycle bin. But I think I think it's important for us to thank them because they took a chance on this project.
They're excited to take a chance on this project even after you know some brands had some P R issues. Um north past seems to be really cool IT and really excited for IT. And honestly, like couldn't thank you guys enough for taking a chance on this.
Uh, I know I know it's a IT might be a tough decision to make eternally. So oh yeah, we want to thank you. But that's also why something like patron is for this stuff is going to be kind of important.
I'm so excited to show me. Can we just show now? Can we show me the thun now at least?
yeah. So okay, we're going to you're going to see a poster at some stage and we'll get to that. But the poster is is different than the actual youtube thumbnail.
Yeah and so what you're about to see is the thumb now for the trailer, but what you're also getting is the for the first time, the title of dock. okay. So only said I can't believe we're doing this. This feels strange.
All right. GTA be on screen right now for video watchers and then a swap our TV to if everybody else everybody is like i'm talking .
about IT just so wrong. It's just .
you .
want say IT okay ay for audio listeners the title is theft .
death and Steve jobs yeah that is a very man saying IT like unofficial capacity is really uh video watchers if you're seeing IT now um there's some extra F P T water marking going on yeah we've in the past I had issue with bad actors stealing Arthur ils. So and this is the first time we've ever like preemptively shown something like this yeah .
so it's just to protect .
yourself .
one yeah it's not out yet and we just want to be as careful as we can be. Um there's been some controversial, not controversial, confidential stuff like pass around with us and the people working with. There's a lot of names that uh, you guys love and respect that are a part of this project.
S so that will be a lot more than I thought would be involved. Yeah, everybody is so excited about this project. So I everyone in a chance with us. Um so I guess that leads to the patron thing.
Yeah ah so, uh, the patriot is live now.
Um again, another another decision we made because of them.
Yeah right yeah I mean, honestly, we've had such good feedback from everybody.
We want to launch IT when the trailer launched like for everybody on youtube but uh for you guys uh you know you you were so positive in the comments and so we figure we give you first tips and some bonuses .
yeah uh so to go to the patron, you could sort, you could sort, of course, find IT via the patch on websites, are searching F P T, F P T dogs. But you can also just got F P T dox dot com. That's our paton. There are two tears right before.
If you've thinking about going on.
hang on. Yeah yeah. Go head and listen to our our info here.
yeah. So patron is F P T dog dog com. Uh, that's us.
We have two tears right now. And I think that's how we're going to keep IT. yeah. I just to be clear, as we're going to keep IT there, oh, man, this is crazy to even be talking about onest ly.
There's no we are not going to be with holding things are from the public. We don't want to put stuff behind a pay wall.
No, no.
We ve got to find a baLance between not doing that and also giving the people that want to support us in general or a project like this give them give them in a thank you. So and this case, um you have a promo code uh that you guys can use as recycling viewers and listeners that you guys will get first.
The code is recycle bin .
main that shocked.
uh that'll you twenty percent off your first month on all tears of patron of our patron a it's going to be going until the next week and end on the twenty nine.
So next time you see a new episode of recycle bin that will be wrapped up yeah so along with A A promo code, get you a bit of a deal for being first there uh so with the the summer that you see behind us uh and that we posted on screen, you kind of get a vibe for what IT is.
You get the title, but it's not exactly clear what this is about, right? So for patrons, if you sign up uh, with your discount code, of course, um no matter what you here yeah no matter of which tear, you guys are going to get the poster first um and the poster kinder reveals the whole situation yeah IT reveals the the subject of the documentary uh you guys can theorize from there um but yeah you guys get to see the poster first uh and then yeah we're onna have a fool I guess I guess it's fair to talk about um released week for everyone to you're looking cycle band. You are you either don't want to support financially, which is totally cool or or you can't.
That's absolutely cool too. We want to let you know early what's gonna happen. Um so.
You're gonna a get a trailer. The drops on youtube. I would imagine that the poster goes up day before. Yeah, next day would be the actual trailer trail.
Probably go up on page on like a little earlier. Yeah, nothing crazy. Maybe like a day or two .
earlier and the data trailer goes out, we anticipate the the documentation will be out .
for patrons yeah.
get just a little bit early. And then three days after that, you're going to get the alive. It's going to be alive. Youtube premier very for like a six P M time slot, i'll be able to watch IT as alive youtube premiere.
But of course if you miss IT alive, that's totally all too able to watch IT you after the fact P M eastern M M and and then following that, uh in the coming days after the documentary, you're onna get another recycle bin episode. But we're going to be uploading that episode on the main youtube channel. Oh yeah.
So recycle bin belongs here. It's going to stay on this channel or not moving a tf, t. We want to have, like a community discussion, be able to talk about what I was like .
making IT the brother yeah kind of get everybody involved just for that one like as a one off.
So the recycle have been immediately following a documentary. If you're like if you have notification set up on this channel, just heads up, uh, it'll be over on the front page that youtube channel where you be able to watch that and it's sort of you know IT gets recycle bin in front of a more people that because there's a tony people that don't know that this even exists. So yeah for sure, that's what released week is going to look like for everybody. Uh and then of course, we will give you much more concrete details as we get closer to stuff, but I think we're at a stage where we can reveal some stuff and talk about .
IT yeah IT IT is so like freeing but also kind of nerve racking to be talking about this now yeah like this right I feel like we should probably explain the patron N A little bit. Talk about the tears just roquet yeah let's do IT so there's two tears um the supporter tear is the five dollars a months tear the go of this one really is supporter um yeah the entire premise of the patron is you know funding and supporting hopefully you guys arriving what we're putting down and maturity IT right um but alongside that uh everybody both tears of patron you get ad free uploads yeah early access to F P T dogs in the future. I supposed to guess the general youtube body and that's it's like it's you know there is going to be exclusive content in the form of like behind the scenes content and then generalized in depth like updates maybe there, which I think that's .
only fair yeah the people they are helping like support the upcoming projects. They they should have a heads up as to wear like where their money is going.
Yeah and and you know obviously we're still going to do deep dives on recycle bin, but this will be maybe like a little behind the scenes of logs or yeah could be some goofy stuff in there. Yes, we're just be kind of real. I mean.
yes. So when we talk about like you a first look at the poster or first week of the trailer, that includes the supporter tear. So the five dollar tier gets you early access, add free versions of the documentation. So not only when you see early, you'll see IT without any ads. Obviously, that's the gonna, the best experience.
Oh yeah. And hopefully, we're going to be hosting and in a way that should be less compressed than youtube, you know higher quality viewing.
hopefully. And what this really comes down to is we are very steadfast and making sure this content is ultimately free to watch. Yeah and yeah and that's why why now on the youtube version, there will be a sponsor involved.
There's kindly no way around that. I wish there was but without amazing companies coming in to have our back and support something like this. Ah you know it's like the cost of IT falls on the people that want to watch IT.
And I don't I yeah so content will always be free on our youtube channel. Of course, there's not going be like a secret version extended cut on natural and anything. It's the exact same thing just earlier and .
minus the ads yeah and the second and only other tear on patron fp t dog dog com is the producer teer all the same benefits from the supporter one. Plus you're gna get your name in the credits of every future fp t dog, including a literally this one. Yeah, we wanted to kind of get this role in now to be able to give you guys that benefit. We moved around how we wanted to do IT, but the producer really feels like what IT is. Yeah, I mean, we couldn't do any of this stuff with without any you guys yeah but but thrown in ten box a month at us like that that that means a lot and and we think you guys deserve to to be credited .
as such yeah so yeah, your name in every version of the documentary will be placed at the credit alongside ours, of course um and you know that would be cool see yourself in but also you know share with your family you know I help produce this, your names and you can share that like I personally think that's .
cool yeah not like trying to ping pung around too much, but I wouldn't I wouldn't cause exclusive content more like you can just kind of see like our creative process, think we're going to toss up some other variants of the poster that we were considering.
Oh yeah, there's something that didn't make the cut.
Yeah yeah yes, that's that's all in wrapped up in like behind the scenes stuff because we change our mind a lot on stuff. We're kind of hard to lock IT down. And I think that would be fun for everybody to see.
So if you guys you guys want to change to patron now go ahead and do so. Just please make sure to use that a recycle promotion.
De, uh and the .
only other thing I let you know is the poster um at the bottom of the poster is like you know us the people that made IT but there's also the names of everyone involved. I'm gonna redact those just for now just for now yeah so there are summer .
up in the air. We're literally still working on the project.
Yeah where I kind of in the middle IT and for a couple reasons, not much of IT up is up near, but uh, I just want to uh, okay.
I think I can. So we're going IT. We're working with a handful of other creators in the capacity. And i'm sure everybody knows youtube ers and creators can be kind of busy. So you know we want to make sure everybody who is involved is on the poster and maybe some of the people we have lined up might not work out. Some people might.
I mean, more than that, it's like, I don't want to use their names. Oh yeah. Like point yeah. why?
I know if there's anyone that doesn't have time, it's going to one or two people already um like there are names they could definitely clearly be on the poster right now. It's just A I would rather wait. I don't want to jump the gun with them. I want them to be able to, you know I don't know, announce their involvement but just like I want that to be in their control and you .
are so nicer yeah I .
just yeah I don't think it's our place to do that. So we're gona reduct the names from the poster other than that you guys are getting like, yeah uh if you haven't guests from the from the someone behind us, the poster will tell you kind of the whats going on the .
bigger scope yeah I also I forgot to add, uh, if you guys are considering subscribing to the patch and first of all, thank you. Thank you for even going to the frequent side and like entertaining that idea because you have a big ask anyway. Um if you're going to sign, if you're like going to primarily be using patron on your mobile device, good use the browser to sign up and a pay for IT as we just found out that um through IOS and android, they take a cut, yes.
and they take a cup, but they also it's more expensive for you.
It's not yeah I I meant yeah it's like the Prices are inflated. Uh, so so please don't pay more than you should no, no, no yeah go through the browser. Er even if you go through the mobile browser on your device.
going to just make sure you can absolutely know uh, what your account use the APP, that's going to be probably a Better experience for you. But initially, what you're paying for don't pay for IT through the APP unless you're call like I pay extra for youtube premium just because of our continued through IOS.
Yeah, I think the number I saw was like the ten dollar producer here, iphone users would be like fourteen, fifty years like the aston that that's crazy. I mean.
if you want to do that but like just keep in mind that extra four fifty isn't in to the le and plus you're paying more and I just don't that's yeah yeah .
paying at all is just a crazy concept to me in general for so to answer .
some questions, are a few people asked why patron privately and in the youtube comments as opposed to something like youtube memberships? One, I think it's first of all, it's a different platform. Yeah, it's not we ready to have so many eggs in the youtube basket and this is a different platform.
You know something of obviously not our own, its patrons, but uh, just something that keep us separated from anything that happens with the youtube channel, especially with the topics we're going to be covering. Like oh, if the channel for some reason got to demonized, that means no memberships. It's like so and plus you to takes a larger cutt IT would be more expensive for you. It's yeah it's just not worth IT.
Something I just considered is like, you know, we're doing everything in our power to make this advertiser friendly for youtube, like the motivation systems and stuff. Yeah but obviously yeah, if something happens and like part of the video need to be like reduction or something like I hope that as that doesn't happen, we're going to do everything we can to keep that from happening.
But patri on and you know another platform in general would just be a safer spot for our stuff to be hosted. Yeah, never thought that way before. It's crazy at like I mean, I don't think work just never making .
this I know um yeah that's that's essentially IT ah that's why I know youtube memberships um and why we chose patro on over that. Other than that, I mean it's it's nearly go time, which is insane to say i'm super excited for you guys to see IT. It's been over a months and so we posted, by the way, I know which is that the first very long time, yes, but I think it's I think it's worth IT.
And oh yeah, i'm so excited for this project. Uh one thing I just thought of um we have other projects planned in F P T docks lineup.
Oh, we do.
Yeah so especially if you guys are considering describing to the patch ion, don't expect such a long gap between projects as there was between the tim cooked dog in this one. Yeah, we were trying we're aiming to get multiples of these out of year. Yeah, I just say that much. Not I mean, the same box.
I mean, already telling them a lot the thing that, that hold us back or has held us back in the past in terms of how frequent projects are IT IT honestly comes down to sponsors.
That's true .
for a long time, IT was not easy to convince brands that a project like this is worth integrating into. Yeah like maybe it's smarter to just everyone is used to just putting A A host read add from your favorite youtube r in a Normal youtube video or IT can be jokey and fun.
And like you know honestly, a lot of times that there are youtube videos to go out just because there a sponsor to like that happens more times than more times than IT should and. You know if if we want to continue as the company, sometimes you have to play by the sponsors rules. And so we we were trying to find a baLance between making sure that we could support this financially and also make the stuff that we want to make.
Yeah, it's just now at the stage where I think we've proven the I think we prove what were capable of making. And I think that brands now, I think I honestly think them seeing the trader in the post to really helps move the process along for sure. Um so now that we have brand sort of understanding the vision and they are willing to support IT, uh, that's going to allow us to to produce more bit, but also, of course, the patron as well.
Um but we're not expecting you guys to fund every project you all my own. So that's why that's why responses are important. There's no way around IT, especially if someone wants to watch the the dog for free so listen, if you if you're not going to support on patriot cool um you know all we ask you is like one the video comes out just give the sponsor listen you know because no bus is really they're really going .
to back here yeah yeah we really appreciate that. It's crazy that like by putting out these docks, we have creatively gone into like uncharted territory a little bit. But it's also really fun. And like you just said, it's like to kind of keep pushing sorry for the harsh p to keep pushing the the envelope. We kind of need to like got to eat.
You can have to build a structure .
around what work yeah exactly build yeah your brain is Operating above mine and I got A I got a kid and he didn't .
not sleep well as um yeah I just I think it's a it's a really cool time and i'm having i'm having a tony fun working with you, making this with you. I think that it's funny because projects like this, they make us I mean, this by far is the most organized streamline thing we've ever made. And I think we said that about the event video last month. And that was after we had a chaotic oh yeah iphone review IT sounds so weird that we put out my phone review now where you on this I know know it's anyway, uh, I think it's also made a friendship of its stronger. I just find making stuff with .
you and yeah yeah and you know and it's fun making stuff .
for you for you. I guess i'm four. We like I mean, before we wrap up, but we have another ad break speaking your money.
Oh, okay, so I guess we'll go to that and then will come back and wrap up. As a family, you buy your friends over uncommon goods. I don't know if you've been to a store lately, but everything you can buy there, very, very common goods .

Yeah add, you know, since ever since we entertain the idea of like a patron, like a paid thing for our content, there's there's stuff that i've been like wanting to make that doesn't fit til like categories really because we're just weird like this is that we are so open in terms of discussion and like what we're talking about on recycle bin. So we haven't talked about this previously like i've just been getting each to make like gaming videos. Again, we you like, if anyone's been around since the early game time era where we were actually upload multiple times a week.
that's going to be videos, going to news for a lot of people. Yeah, there was a stage in the front page tech channel where we did a gaming video every thursday in sunday.
yeah, well, yeah, that was like a IT was like a variety game on a thursday and the minecraft on sunday .
and you might say, well, that would must have been like a little blip that was almost two hundred videos just gaming on the channel on from page that most of them aren't good ah all of that is privately and um yeah even when even when we try to like I do this frequently because i'd like to reminisce and like look at this old video we made and then like ten seconds they were like all that's why I didn't do well.
Well, just to be clear, they're not private because we're like saying sellers or something no, it's just bad content. We just we were like that was early on in fp t. That was like the first couple years.
And IT doesn't fit with what we're made. IT doesn't fit the content. That would make no sense to be more confusing than work.
And some of them were long and we like we were like twenty one or something when we were making up yeah and we just sound like kids. We sound like I I don't like we never knew we were talking about still yeah but I don't know. I just when we're leaving the the confines of the fp t youtube channel in any capacity, my brain search going like, well, what if we did this and that's just a fun concept to throw around yeah a fun mental exercise. Everything about like if we weren't doing the videos we're doing now and even the dogs and stuff like outside the tech bubble, like what would would you see you make in if that was like, I mean, well, possible.
So i'm not using this is like a springboard opportunity, but I do see a path where you and I are are making stuff that isn't directly calculated. Yeah, yeah, I .
agree. Just just to give context, what are you talking about because .
i'm just a for that I would love to tell I would love to do what we do in the text base making documentaries, but for other stories that aren't .
about so like as an example, like is is rustling too specific or no like anything like I want .
to be able to just be like that sounds like fun na make and we just make IT I don't know where that will go. But um I just feels like this is this feels like the next like the second chapter almost yeah F P T which is .
no front check has .
been around for almost twelve years now and january we twelve um and I just feels like this is whatever this is, it's the next stage of our career and uh IT feels IT IT feels right IT feels huge. Front page tags started to feel not right anymore yeah this .
feels good so i'm yeah i'm .
just grateful to be able to do this stuff because there was no other stage in our career we could just fuck in. We could fuck off for a month and then just make a thing and then spit IT back out later. We would we wouldn't be able to do that because if we wasted a month doing that.
we would be homeless. Yeah.
that's true so fast. yeah. And not to .
like i'm not trying to glaze the audience here. I'm not trying to like let's close them but like it's gonna be a forever vital, vital, private, able, oh my god, super important moment of r or careers where I came back on to the channel, started writing and I pitched you like, what if we started to do in video S A? Ask things. yeah. The first proof concept for that was our vary simple video on M, K, B, H, D on .
ironically. Oh yeah.
At that time of our content, I won't say IT was majority negative in the comments or the feedback, definitely, but I felt like, uh, people were getting a little maybe bored or maybe the content was stagnating. It's hard to say exactly, but IT, but there was a good mix of like oh this again or like something like that yeah and when we started putting out like that video and then you know next was like the tim dock, I mean, it's hard to ignore the absolute wall of positivity that came from .
all that yeah yeah it's like .
that felt good.
I felt so good. I mean, in the apple event video, there's not a single comment about any other products. There was nothing about apple is just like you I we got really, really lucky .
yeah and that's what this is is like weird jez, this entire thing is just us listen to you guys, the audience.
yeah I I just wanted be clear, i'm not a huge fan of us doing a .
patriot like, oh, no, IT feels weird.
I IT feels weird, but i'm listening and it's just one of those things we're like you don't know until you're try and I want to be less close .
minded and yeah well, even before we leave uh, just to be super transparent because that's what this podcast is. No boy, during the ad break, we we take a second to kind of collect themselves, take a drink, go. We have a little conversation like how do I think I also like that? Uh, you just try to told me that like talking so transparently if you feels kind of .
vulnerable IT feels weird and like the fact I can see this at the corner and I am like .
like they were shown.
yeah yeah. All of this stuff has been hidden in a secret for so long. And only other than you guys, there's only a handful of people that have seen any of this stuff.
The post are especially that if you go to pay, some of you are looking at IT right now. That's crazy. That poster has been between us and the brands this project was pitch to and .
a manager like immediate family and maybe like screen over immediate like a good youtube buds that we can like trust and yeah like trust and circle. It's like, yeah, it's great.
Yeah there's some stuff we try that was just some stinkers .
you might end on page on. You get to see that that's the real cell, the patch on guys. You get to see the stinkers ers.
Ah well, that you really sold IT what in in saying value?
Yeah that's either gonna be the little sound bite at the beginning of the podcast or it's gonna the part where you said, like this is the next .
step of our career yeah I like .
youtube bit yeah for all right well, I I feel like that's a good natural condition.
Ah thanks guys, for listening to us for what and I want a half almost. We really appreciate you. Also let us other than like the document is coming out, let's just know what you think about the recycle bin uh set and how we do the video versions.
You happy with the changes? Don't any no one saying thing about the life inking? No, not a single person.
