The NYC Commission on Human Rights has issued new guidance on legal enforcement stating that the term "illegal alien" (which is the term used in the writing of multiple laws to specify a person who isn't a US citizen) is specifically illegal when used in a derogatory way. This came along with similar guidance, which is discussed in this podcast.
