How do you find out what you really want to manifest? This is a very important question because
A lot of people, they believe that they want certain things and that they want to manifest certain material possessions or even experiences, even though they don't really desire them, even though it's not what I call a pure intention. And a pure intention means that it really comes from the heart, that you really want it.
And a not pure intention would be that you maybe see something on an Instagram account or a friend of yours has a certain lifestyle and you think to yourself, okay, that's the kind of life I should aspire to live. That's the kind of life I should want to live. And then in the worst case scenario, you might even manifest this life and you find out, oh God, I don't want to live this life.
And the reason why it's so important, I mean, not just that, not just that you might even lean your ladder of manifestation success against the wrong wall and then you climb it, but also, and this is something that so many people don't even think about, which is absolutely crucial. If you try to manifest something that is not truly a pure desire, that doesn't come from your heart, that's not something that you truly want,
it will be so much harder for you to actually manifest the life that you don't want in the first place than it would be for you to manifest what you really want. Even though you might be thinking that manifesting this reality should be easier because, well, you are less attached to it and you're more detached from it. But the truth is that if you do not really desire what you set out to manifest,
then it's way harder for you to reach the elevated emotions. It's way harder for you to reach the feeling of the wish fulfilled. It's way harder for you to consistently feel yourself into this reality because
The less emotional investment we have in the manifestation, the less likely it is that we actually make the effort to manifest on a regular basis. And the less likely it is that we reach the frequency, because there's simply no emotional fuel. I mean, just take the following example: You want to drive full speed to your destination with a really fast car.
But you then just put a little bit of fuel in that fast car. Then of course at some point along the way, the car just won't be able to move any further and you're stuck. And the same happens to people who try to manifest something that they don't really want.
But if you really want the outcome, no matter if it's something that other people want or if it's something that only you want or if other people call you crazy for wanting that, if it's something that you truly want, that's when your tank is fully fueled and you can hit the gas pedal and you can go to the destination that you want to go to because now you have the emotional fuel.
And I think about this very often. I think about it very often because when I think back to my early 20s, when I had no clue about manifesting, but when in some self-help book I read about making a vision board and setting yourself some goals, I was like, oh, okay, let's do it. And no, actually, please let me...
correct that it wasn't even my early 20s. I think it was my teenage years, right when I started university, like must have been 18, 19, something along the lines of that. And I
I still remember how I set myself these goals on this vision board of me living in a penthouse apartment in the German city that I was studying in and me then putting some dude in a suit on this vision board and imagining being a top manager in a company there and then the sports car, the Audi that I put on there and
Then I realized, even back then, that I didn't want a car. I didn't want to live in Germany. I didn't want to have a job in a corporation. So everything I put on that board was just influenced by my social conditioning, but it was not something that I truly desired.
and that's why it's important for you to get clear about what you want and one thing that i invite you to do is to think about your ideal day this is by far the most powerful thing you can do will you dedicate some time to write down your ideal day and i'm not talking about any special day where you get a certain award or where something big happens like you buying your dream car i'm talking about yeah i don't want to call it a mundane day but let's say
An average normal day in your dream life, which might not be that average or that normal for you right now, but an average day in your dream life. What does that day look like? How do you feel during this day? What are some things that you do during the day? Because when I then made this exercise way, way, way later, unfortunately, way later when I then had my spiritual awakening,
I then wrote down that all I wanted to do was to enjoy my day doing yoga, working a little bit on things that I'm passionate about.
swimming in the pool, enjoying the beach, and I just wrote down all these things and none of these things had to do with any sports car. I didn't even see a sports car or a car whatsoever in that reality. And again, that might be different for you. Maybe you write down, "Oh my god, I will cruise around with my Porsche and I will have so much fun doing it and that is okay." But it has to come from the heart. What do you really, really want?
because I have this incredible privilege that because of my coaching program, and of course also because of the individual sessions I offer, I talk to people from all kinds of different countries, all kinds of different continents, all kinds of different cultural backgrounds. And it's really interesting to see how
For so many people, their goals, what they believe that they want to manifest, is so strongly influenced by their cultural upbringing, by their society, which makes complete sense. But then it's important for you to go beyond that and to ask yourself, hey, what do I really want? Because
I mean, if I would have manifested the typical dream life of a German, I would now have 5,000 insurances and I would be an engineer somewhere in Germany. Or as Arnold Schwarzenegger once said in an interview,
If I would have believed the naysayers, I would have been married with a Heidi and yodeling in the Alps. That's something that he said at some point. But yeah, that's what it's about. I mean, he went after what he wanted in the same way as you have to go after what you want. And you have to emancipate yourself from your societal conditioning because maybe you want to live a completely different life.
And even though you might want to live a life that I would never want to live, that's okay. It's about what you value. And this leads me to the next exercise I want you to, or let's say, I invite you to do. It's of course totally up to you if you do it. And that's to identify your core values.
what are your core values? For some people, it's security. For some people, it's connection with close family members and friends. For some people, it's expressing their creativity. For some people, it's freedom. For me, for example, it's freedom. That's why I never want to be tied down in one job in one country and why I want to travel all the time. That's just me. And I also know people who
whenever they think about traveling consistently they get overwhelmed they think to themselves I don't want that I want to have a house somewhere in a beautiful part of the city and there I want to have my family and that's okay you don't have to live this digital nomad lifestyle which is
Often, yeah, you can say over-romanticized, because for a lot of people it's just not the right lifestyle. But for me, I freaking love it. Others might not, and that is okay. And then at the same time, also think about your anti-vision. And I want to give credit where credit is due. What I got from a YouTuber called Dan Coe, he talks about the anti-vision, which basically can in the first moment motivate you to...
to create your real vision for yourself. Because my anti-vision was always the life that I was living in my early 20s, before I then started to travel, the life that I was living back then of me in the winter on a rainy day,
Completely tired, early in the morning, standing at the train station in Germany, everybody having a face as if they wanna jump in front of the train, everybody's like miserable and their mouth hanging down on this kind of energy and me standing there in the dark, in the cold.
waiting for a train to drive me to an office that I didn't even want to be in. And the moment I went into this office, the moment I sat down on my chair, I...
Just asked myself. What am I doing here? I don't want to be here anymore. And that was for me my job reality back then I mean to be honest the first thing that I actually did in every job I ever had every office job I ever had in Germany back then was to go to Google and to Google some tropical beach location just to get my mood up and that is my anti vision and
Of course, you shouldn't then in the manifestation process focus on your anti-vision, because there you want to focus on your real vision. But in the beginning, it can be incredibly powerful to really ask yourself, what life do I not want to live? Because this...
is a powerful exercise. Even though for you, you might be saying, "Hey, yeah, I really enjoy my train ride to the work. I love the people in my job." And that's great. That's awesome. That's amazing. I'm happy for you. For me, it was always like, "Please get me out of there as fast as possible. And if I have to do that another two years, then I will probably... I don't know what." So that was my reality back then. And that's why it's important to ask yourself, "What are your values, your core values?" Because somebody who values security
will make completely different decisions and choices than somebody who values freedom. I mean, I basically broke free from the most secure country you can imagine. I mean, at least back then it was the most secure country when it comes to social security. And...
That already tells you that for me freedom was the number one value. And if it's different for you, then more power to you. And of course, especially when it comes to lifestyle design and where you want to live, how you want to live your life,
in which countries or cities you want to live, it's also good to go back and to connect with your inner child. To ask yourself not only what aspirations did you have as a child, sometimes that can lead to good answers, sometimes it doesn't and that's also okay, but then ask yourself where do you want to live? I mean, I still remember, for example, whereas other children always wanted to go snowboarding and skiing,
I always, even as a child or as a teenager, I was like, I don't want to be in a cold climate, get me out of here. That was my kind of attitude. So from a young age, it was already clear that that was not my lifestyle, my dream lifestyle. I mean, for example, I recently had a conversation with a very abundant client of mine who joined my eight-week abundance reality shift coaching program to become even more abundant.
And he told me about this wonderful holiday he had in Switzerland in a very prestigious area of Switzerland. I don't remember exactly where it was, but the hotel prices were astronomical. And I then told him point blank, you know, I would never even spend 100 euros or even 50 euros on a holiday in an area where it's really cold, no matter how beautiful the hotel is.
And he just looked at me and was like, okay. Because for me, that's completely unimaginable to ever say in the winter, oh yeah, I'm going to make a beautiful holiday in Switzerland. I mean, in the summer, yeah, don't get me wrong. But in the winter, I would never do that.
So ask yourself as a child, as a teenager, what environments did you like? Were you always somebody who dreamed of tropical climates? Or maybe you dreamed of the mountains and a more colder climate. Then ask yourself, where do you want to live?
And another great exercise you can do is to write a so-called legacy letter, which means that you imagine you are 80 years old or 90 years old or 85 years old, and you're writing a letter about the incredible life that you've lived. And really take your time to do that. Write this letter to yourself. What achievements did you have? What experience did you make? Where did you live? What kind of memories do you have? This is so incredibly powerful because then...
you get confronted with your own mortality. And you then ask yourself, okay, how do I really want to live my life? What do I want my 80-year-old or 90-year-old self to remember about my life? And this can lead to so much clarity about what you really want to manifest.
