The number one question we get asked the most is “How do I get started?” The thing is, it’s not as important HOW you start but THAT you start. There are so many awesome strategies in real estate investing and that’s what makes it something anyone in any part of their life can do. There is a strategy for you. From house hacking to partnering to wholesaling or in our guest’s case flipping are all great ways to get started, figure it out, try new things, and scale.
Welcome Tammy Richey to this week’s episode of the Real Estate Investing School Podcast. Tammy has a large portfolio that she scaled super quick. In fact, she went from 10 doors to 100 doors in 6 months and she tells you exactly how she did it.
If you are looking for amazing deep dives into a couple great strategies that you might now be the most familiar with but that have truly been a game changer for Tammy, this episode is it! Tammy pulls the curtain back on her experience and success with mid-term rentals and syndications. She also gives us great insight into things that have really helped her along the way like building her team early on, using capital gained from projects to fund those team members, creative financing, and asking questions about different loan products when she was rejected instead of just giving up and walking away. She learned that oftentimes they were saying no to the loan not to her and by asking questions she learned how she could make it work.
The deep dives into mid-term rentals and syndication is a ton of value in itself but Tammy just keeps it coming. She shares about her experience with creating and managing her first syndication, which the idea came from a mastermind she attended that lit the fire for her to go bigger. She researched, asked questions, built the team with key players like an amazing Attorney, but guess what. There were still unforeseen issues that came up, there were still curveballs thrown at her in crucial times of the deal closing, but she kept going, learned, adapted, and moved forward. We can learn so much from Tammy! We are going to need to bring her on for another episode in the future to dive more into how she BRRRR’d her first 10 properties and built capital to deploy into new strategies. And by then she’ll have 1,000 doors.
