Struggling to make friends? You're not alone.
I've heard from many military spouses lately that finding true connection and community is a challenge. And I haven't just heard it...I've felt it myself as we moved from one duty station to another this summer.
If you've gone through a PCS this summer, this is probably something you've felt too. Even if you haven't moved recently, the last few years have made making new in-person connections even more challenging for milspouses.
New relationships take time to develop. It can feel exhausting living in a never-ending cycle of trying to make new friends, find your tribe, and then say "see you later."
But what's the alternative? Living with loneliness? Only having on-line community?
This week’s summer quick tip episode is devoted to discussing the challenge of finding and sustaining community as a military spouse. We’re going to talk about five ways that we can combat the loneliness we feel and start making new connections.
Let's tackle this challenge together!
Better Together,
Christine
