so two days before jumps off, be. Two days before this is wild. Am, is that eastern time? I assume its eastern time.

I mean, the whole world runs at eastern time, other than .

the west, the mountain and the pacific. When you say ten, everybody outside of the use of time .

zone yeah but when somebody says ten, I M without specifying what do they what do they .

mean midwest?

Let's get the fair. And the time we had a lot of comments this week, a lot of you seem to enjoy the Harry potter talk. Although some people thought I was a little weird than a sports talk, a show was talking about.

hey, power.

But on the less, we've got a lot of bus as well as our work aholic .

poop dollar .

position IT got so much buz IT was common in on by Blake Anderson. I think we all know Blake for working holiday, felt honored that he was inspired to comment on that little clip on instagram as well as backstreet boy Kevin Richard son.

which.

I'm going to be honest, I was always more of a backstreet boy .

than in sync boy. I don't know where were you at the ker think that was like the battle in the housemate you had.

You take in signal because you're your buddies with just in timber like that. You in, no, we were boring that back, back streets back.

Alright, the fact the year calling yourself a boyband fan right now was.

yeah, I wasn't A, I was a boy band fan then. I'm not a boyband fan this early now. But I feel when you grow up with, you retain that.

Now those those ninety area was a little different.

bachelor boys in sake, ninety eight degrees. So town, I never forget when .

I was on .

a bus to some summer camp and somebody told me about backstreet boys. I like what they actually boys.

and I listen to them. I like this. You would like, oh, this is best people.

I got told in the same bus ride about backstreet boys and W W F, two things I had known nothing about. And they both ended up being an enormous part of my child. Od, so ah thank you to the skinny kid that was set next to me after for what your name is. Was his skinny .

kid that you need to eat? Yeah, you got to eat. IT you want to be.

I tell you what he knew .

ws ww f and is .

in his .

bache boys. And I love IT shout.

he did. He had the star power. You've always been more of dancer and I feel like insane was definitely a more choo graph dancing crew. Where is that really just focused on the vocals?

I can see that though. I can see where you're going with that. wait.

Definitely more flashy for sure. I mean, right. Yeah, for sure. And I was, I was a big Mickey, Mickey mouse b kit. No, you were not timber, lake sperner y spears, cristine agua when they .

all make moscow. I don't know, bernie irs was I know cine. I think was there's something, something .

somebody else in there and over who else is in there know either one other was one.

They were all in there .

along with right gasoline in. That's what I was missing. I knew that. I knew the star.

Three videos make mass club la la land was a making the around luck you more great.

Look, you, I think laa land went on. Oscar.

yeah, I didn't even need to go to the asking party so that. right? But we would really got everyone go on.

Last week was obviously the high part of segment, the jay Kelsey sorting hat in N, F, L. Players in the hard work houses. For some reason, a bunch of people thought that I belonged in half puff, which proposers.

Let me tell you what's crazy about the Howard houses and just really Harry potter genre. They've had to expand IT for all the fans, right? So now, ha, puff actually has like a meaning in like a reason.

But I read the books are a aiful of me. There was ripping or there was sliter in, there was ravin claw. And literally in the books that says in half, puff took all the rest.

Hello, bob is just leftovers are right. The smarties were in ribbon law. The goods were in riven door, and the baddies were in filter.

Simple as that, you don't need to overcomplicate this. And I know fucked. And help of art.

There is another wrong with leftovers. Jason, I love some .

good leftovers. This is everybody need, loves everybody is playing in power. Puff is some noble house to be in. It's not a noble house to be in already.

We also ask twitter, uh, to give us the name of this Harry potter book and of the Harry potters book of this picture. And you guys did not disappoint. Matthew ney, Harry potter in the gables of think variables is going to like that name.

We also got a hairy potter in the magic. jj. Martina is clearly drawing inspiration from travis. New hogwarts house in the magic house .

is about real house.

We also got Stephen glen, Harry potter and the cursed gibran is I like that.

that's my first baby.

Hay crane. Harry potter in the fight for not bad, right over your head, right over what move on. Booming soon. Harry potter in the masters of the wonder .

who I don't know what IT masses a wonderful man, but I can see that's a fun named to stay masters of current cousins.

Probably used being a very .

cold guy wasn't .

didn't like a like .

I don't know to have I .

know that a ryan fits patric. I think I like a perfect score, but not mistaken.

Here you go. That's what I meant. One of you, if he goes in the A, B, C, D realm. So this, that might have been the wrong when to say, yeah, that's what I was going for.

Jason White corbaccio look like we also got Harry potter in the push, push by k mark.

the to push of all of them.

I like the curse bronze as my favorite, or the government to fireable actually online. I like Carry pottering the magic, something simple about IT, because we love doing these kinds of segments with you guys. And somehow we actually got trave to cata take part in a Harry potter segment, which he had no with this .

knowledge of, and that .

disney world, we also got another one coming up later in this show. But right now we actually got to talk some football for.

that's right.

We got a good actually we going to talk about, did you post you what? How should you in? Or is that just we know?

No, this is some we know because I felt way too much of a way to actually tweet out that I made a profile on Harry come just to take a test that I had no idea what I was even asking me. I was in a whole different world there for about ten minutes.

In the words of the great more pov ge, what did the test results reveal?

I even know what that reference was, and I am scared to tell you I was a grip. And north, I was in Harry potter s. House, was, honestly.

there was nothing to see. A lot of people saying you belonged in slither.

I immediately called out Jason for when he said that he was in grip nor because it's like if you know what house you want to be in, you can screw the answers in the test to, like, be in that house. So I think Jason, kind of skill.

I was just .

clicking on shit.

I interest .

forest path. I was a big force path too.

I think we both in grip, in doors.

So I do. So anybody wants to be in griffin door?

Just big force will stop, given away the answers. Know we don't want anybody to get into grip. Dt, that's like you fuck up gritten door you going to have sliver and so wander in the older are much worse, hatful pups already. Let's go add to the football cycle of the show.

That's here. The bold topics. No longer twelve bold tok is because we don't know how many topics were even talk to people. So let's springle in the recap of all the nfl free agency tabs. If that sends even make sense .

and IT makes sense to me. Start with the chiefs.

Start with the chief s baby. Who did? Who haven't we talked about yet?

The chief s have officially signed from last week, defensive and Charles a man, you side a two year contract with the value of twenty million dollars a dolla year must be a pretty good different event.

Twenty million dollars.

Where is SHE from? Is that .

the friends and runs games .

really well, explosive comes inside and third down, like Edward side of one year. Three million dollars. Just solidify the back into the chief.

S, I like you. I like that. That pick up is good. Me, bol hawker man.

like to like.

depends ve bags that can catch the football, and mike is one of them. You sure there's nothing more frustrating than seeing a guarantee pic? Just go right through some. Somebody write the chest.

How did we get here?

Yes.

I like to pick up .

a lot at man. And obviously we lost my guy want thorne hill to the to the clean baby he's up and see the home he's he's a homeless baby.

These guys really know .

if we ever went back to clewe be said for ah I respect I was there's no three ways of this well, you can get anywhere .

fast so I get IT one and the only guys guys he was quite a bit .

and widely .

sign .

with the commanders so I do that. I actually these are like locker and favorite man like it's going to be interesting.

This is the part when you a good team, you realized that a lot of these players are going to pick up whenever you have done well and win the super ball usually need favorite well.

those guys in .

their lockers serving, yeah, sir bank is gone. Agreed to a three year deal worth up the fourteen and a half with the sense .

deserves every bit of a man.

The big one, obviously, is orland Brown. Four years, sixty four million dollar contracts that includes thirty one million signing with things. The bengals. He officially, he's officially in slithering. How do you feel about this?

IT hurts, hurts my soul. Man hurts my soul. It's like watching your best fringes turn evil on you.

Yes, it's kind of how we felt when jovan side with the forty hours last week.

Yeah this tough. obviously. I mean, the past, like two years, we've struggled beating the bengals.

So there's been a lot of like build up in a motion of like I would say that this really hate, but just like dislike towards the bengals because short tak b you've talking about every time they do. So it's like man to see him go to the dark side. Man it's it's an award.

Feeling, obviously hoped that he has a absolute hall of fame career. You mean which is nothing is about the best for O, B. He was an unbelievable leader, an unbelievable team.

May, on and off the field we got countless memories that I fuck. And Sherry h, but obviously him going to the dark side, his own in power. And O, B.

do you think the mayor helped to grow them?

I don't. I have no idea of the mayor, just even still the mayor, I thought resigned. And then we lost juju Smith ster to the new england patridge, which was that heart man another guy that came in was really the leader of that wide er receiver group for us last year to be the first year be the first year guy on the team.

And kind of you take take the group and and really just set the tone for work ethics and an attention to detail. Things like that for a lot of Young guys can't say enough about what jojo was force last year, and i'm sure he's just going to transition that over the new england and helps new england be a Better team. Man, without a doubt, happy, happy.

Get paid. You hate. I mean, you can't help but appreciate guys that you love. Go out and get paid. Men, all the guys you just listed right there, Andrew, Willy calendar's one, thor hill or lane Brown, you do all those guys. Men, I love to see those guys get paid.

Men, yeah. I mean, what do you think, do you think you introduced his belchik to tiktok?

Finally, big tiktok? I I don't know. That sounds like a fun chAllenge. You, bill, on a take tag. Man, just do a quick one, just do a quick when he doing, even know he's on IT mean, just kind of flash flash the camera to.

The season is in full swing. And that's why we need to tell you about our special hook up for day's sponsor seek.

and we have a special discount for the two percent, as you can get ten percent off any ticket on seki with the code you did new heights, and that works .

for sports concerts. Comment shows going to see travis and chief play you name and save yourselves some money, open the seki gap and add code new heights to your account to get ten percent off your next order. Doesn't matter if you've you seeking before that right IT does not matter.

Once again, that's code new heights for ten percent .

off the farmers dog. We love our dogs. That's right. They complete us, and we all want piece of mind that we're doing the best we can to help ensure that they're healthy and happy.

The farm er's dog makes them delivers fresh, healthy dog food. Right to your door is developed to buy vest, nutritionally baLanced, made from real meat, veggies. How about that to a safety standards of human food? Ds.

traditional dry. And what dog food objects are highly processed, can use much lower quality ingredients that they claim to, and are extremely difficult to portion accurate?

That's right. The farmer's dog isn't just fresh food, it's higher quality food, and they also send the food proportion specifically for your dog. That's right. This makes IT easy to help maintain their idea.

A healthy way can live up and have a longer than over .

wait IT doesn't matter if your dog is Young. Old is always the right time to begin investing in their health.

Get fifty percent off your first box of fresh, healthy food at the farmers, a duck come new. Plus you get free shipping.

free partners since two thousand eighteen to bring quality sleep to a lead athletes.

It's for good reason as super able champions. We know how important IT is for recovery to sleep in a great bed plus sleep number. Beds have great features, including the ability to adjust .

farmers sleep number. Smart beds show you your sleep quality every morning in the big number .

APP how is coming up? Who doesn't love fresh new bedding or pillows or if you're are in the market for a bed, if you haven't checked out a sleepy store now is a great .

time moving one of the eagles who have been busy since we last talked, what have we the guys that have officially been signed, our a big one, Marcus mariota, signed a one year deal with the eagles, five million that could reach up to eight, a guy that the eagles have been trying to get since two thousand and fifteen. You guys almost traded your entire organization just to get this guy in the draft.

Chip Kelly has been the, and he's been dying to get this guy to the eagles. And he finally got what he wanted. He was finally pick him up. No, no, yes, he still wants there. But either way, markets is a he sent me home in the players one time is a great corner bag. I think it's a fun pick up for you guys I think is a guy that you know can come in and and when you guys all games if needed and and run a jailor hard style offence .

yeah I think that's the biggest thing is obviously that a lot of success in the league, uh, former topic overall and he's can do the reduction. He did IT all in college. That's White. Chip was.

Rumor to be interested in him, if not for sure, interested in in two thousand and fifteen, you know you'll be able to do some things that that we like to do with the jail hurts. What have to completely change things up. So you excited to see in meat markets, mayor d, i've never met them. So .

neither, I don't think, might just dat one time in the probe, al flecha cox resigns, which was a huge, got ta bring back, obviously big time leader in a legend in the city of philately fia for a ten one million one one year, ten million dollars worth every company, uh, flesh waiting on on our next syrian interview. Actually he twist in quotes IT be your own people. In response to the clip of syria is saying he lied about putting in oxide.

Sometimes, you know, you just get to get to give guys energy and let them down easy.

I am right, but it's definite good, always good to have a guy like flecha cox on the and roster and that is obese. But guys got a got a few counter backs. Greedy Williams agreed to one year contract, a James bribery, agreed to come back for three years and sold. There is slay big place, slay big place. After pum fake and .

everybody later, I gone for .

forty two million dollars with twenty three million guaranteed. Got a nicol payday for the next three years, rather congrats. Big, obviously big.

Fanis lay, he came in the same year. Man, holding down twenty thirteen. Baby, actually two. He did tweet goodlie a filly before resigning, which is always I was one. Ah I thought I was. I mean, the home entire world did in the slay to slip, I ran into IT slight light.

Oh, would I say that?

What genre versely tweet that you were her favorite eagle outside of darius?

That's very nice. I think that that is only because i'm married cali, because Kelly and Jennifer of a early and Kelly said he loves Jennifer and so I feel like this is hundred percent just Kelly.

Yeah well, you cash to people and you start cheering for I put out so it's on but you guys have officially say goodbye to if you guys and that's always the hard part zac pascal, a sign two year deal, the cardinals a ii.

I just say, well, this is one heart. Obviously, our own line room has been here for a long time, ever since two thousand and sixteen season. So, you know, there said, a three year, twenty four million other contract with the stealers back with andy wio, who's in the front office now, you think IT just hard when when you lose a guy that, you know is really, really good player.

Such an important PC room and just a great friend, I think still going a bargain. Man, this dude is an unbelieving player. Um i'm happy that is getting paid um but man, this guy can do everything you do senate guard you guys you're really, really going to enjoy have an ice, say money up there .

in pitchfork that's a huge chest pieces at the old line. Man, when you can book guys anywhere, there is a big time but well.

he's he's pretty on good guard so one of the best they surprised but .

more power to yeah as I go and enjoy pisser. G men have some wisden pitcher. G, if you get going, get some permanent brothers.

Permanent brothers gives a mani brothers baby. Miles saunders, agree to a four year deal to the cut, right? Is over there with our guy friend.

right? And you pronto. One of my t mates names .

right after school.

I say, mou, miles.

anders, that Sanders, do you watch our me standers Sanders, you just puter car and sy kells, it's all the same. And i'm sorry, miles, if i've been saying are a name on this big fan, I really .

am alright.

So yeah, is with the panthers go miles now .

excited for miles. Um you know he's a big part of our office, obviously. Um I think that he's a guy that whatever recall his number showed up and i'm just excited for me an opportunity and get paid. He's an able player. Did you hear that?

Did I, how can you not hear that? amazing. This comes out like this.

So a line backer.

casier White, I say.

went wrong. No, you nail that one. nice.

Knew IT signing a two year deal with the car knows, get out there. So you guys lost two safety, two limb ackers, so you guys capture corners and lost two safeties who we were getting to next markets apps and H C. J.

Johnson, C J. Garner Johnson, both of them apps went to the radars, came into our division. So it'll be a chAllenge going up against him twice a year. And then, um yeah, garden Johnson went to the lions with a an interesting scenario. A.

this is the hot topic right now, filled off you obviously resigned genes, bravery. Ry, seriously. And garnet Johnson, unfortunately walks and flat. Cox, we sign flesh too. yeah. So you know, C J unbelieved will really, really good Young player um you to eight million other deal with the lions agent tweed, the terms that they were negotiating with the eagles, which is I thought very D I I don't think i've ever really seen um an agent tweet out contract negotiations especially one that more agree to like is a kind of a anon just never seen that moved done.

He was he trying to clear the air like .

you like I this egal fanzine upset that we didn't resign and there was leaked that the terms that he turned down was a three year, twenty four million of the deal, which to do the math on that it's eight per year. But I think what IT doesn't say is he kind of said that he was like all backloaded like seventy million a year. three.

He just want to say, basically, I didn't screw up this contract negotiation, which um no, I don't know he didn't. I know that SHE jays worth a lot more than eight million dollars year as a player do to waller, but there's a lot of things that have to fall in place. Yeah yeah, I don't know. I know what else .

I wants to say on IT good. Like to see that put IT hate to see, you know, situations kind of unfold like they did if that, you know, if that's really the case. But like he said, is a great football player and he's going up and to detroit where they had a great team of delft flies around. So mean, he's going to bed scenario.

It's going to a great scenario and they got Better this off seasons in detroit. Um was really, really good at .

the end of the year yeah um they think .

but by every note you know I think there is a very bright future of the detroit. And you guys just got a unbeliever player. They're for a steel if you just look at his playing a beauty no question about IT.

So free free agency questions is having an agent versus player rapping themselves when he comes to free agency, what is there like do you have any like opinions on which ones Better? Or if it's silly to just kind of play a rep?

I think most people should .

definitely an agent with only to player red .

I early on and as we do my first kind was thinking about trying to do with myself, talk to my agent really to fireroom and what came to an agreement um and man is the best thing I ever did because they got me more money than I thought that I was gna get and yes, you would definitely deal they do over the first offer. And I like, right, sign this. But like Jason, we can get more out of time the first silly.

you don't. That's what i've been doing. I to see how to get a lot of money, how to take that very to take this fast as possibility. I sign that now before it's off the table.

I think it's beneficial for most players to have an age. And now there are some guys that are doing IT without nation shed out to learn me tonzo, who's sending great projects by himself. I mean, just very impressive.

But I think it's beneficial for number reasons. One is hopefully they oversee the deal. They have connections there. They know what you're worth, like all these things. But then also it's nice to just have a buffer between you and the team so that you know the business side can remain like kind of separate from you.

You know you don't know .

somebody comes immediate like, hey, you know why you responded to the like. Man, I don't have nothing do with that. That's my man. Jb, that i'm just here to play football .

ah i'm just here so I don't get find.

Um so I think um you know I do think it's important for most guys now. I do think they should make the agent process a harder to you. I think there's a lot of bad agents.

I really do. I think a lot of guys get misinformed, unlike free ency is hard to navigate in general because there's a lot of competition. Usually there's like a top tear guys that every team is going to go after that is in need in that position and has the capture.

And then you know after that, you know money kind of drives up quick. And um you know a lot of guys in of sign and deals in the free in the market that quite Frankly, everything is below what they should be yet. And I think a lot of that sometimes comes out of the agent just missing foreign or trying to drag IT out and all the sudden you don't have option.

And I think that happens across the league to a lot of guys, quite Frankly, I think they should make you much more difficult to get an agent licence and certification. I think there's a lot of bad agent um across the nfl. I think there's a lot of missing foreign yers guys sign bad contracts.

I mean, the numbers that are released don't tell the whole story, which is one of the things that I can't stand like you believe they sign that guy for that. And i'm like, dude, you don't that might not be that. That could be half of that. You have no idea what the terms of this deal are.

I cannot in in agents will tell the team to release you gotta release the high number and my guy needs to be a top three guys so that they can over crew more guys and I there is way too much um uh honestly bullcrap on on the side of agents and and things that are released in the media um just to artificially inflate things and and it's misleading it's misleading. The players in my nfpa should do more about this. I think nfl pa does a great job in general, are not here to us. N, F, L, P, A. I think that they should be making IT, uh, making the agent process much more difficult and getting Better representatives .

at the bad one. Man, yeah, too many guys and .

I think are not represent the world.

And on top of that, if there is a situation I want to get, there are me on here and let's talk about what his situation is. I would love to know how he's trust in IT because there's no way I trust myself to look over a contract or anything like that. So there's GTA be some type of .

legal team that he is teaming up with a what probably does he pays a lawyer or A A law firm A A certain law early rate or whatever is to look over the contract or make sure everything's dated here. I would bit um but I think that does help when you're like the best tack on the nfl and you're going to make want you yeah yeah I mean, he's able to he's got a big hammer. There be an as good as he is.

Do you find out what's going on in the eagle's orange zone as that is like IT comes across through like I am chefs and everybody? Or do you kind of know .

times sometimes uh, you find out over the media, actually the majority of the time you find out, uh, over media I would say um and then I think sometimes though there are some moves that happened uh that throughout the week you've kind of heard rumbling over. You know it's been leading this that direction and you've heard going into free agency um you've heard through the great vine that is that in this guy of this guy who is and .

to have example, give exam, I .

don't want to do. I think sometimes you know sometimes you don't know. I mean the team doesn't know, so you can know everything. I mean these things are happening you on a deal by deal basis, you know they might go one guy and always said he's gone on in is on to the next one and you don't have a clue what's happening. So yes, kind of similar to the draft a little bit, but you have even less controlled in the draft.

Yeah, less. I have like a random conversation with somebody who's in a situation like that and they kind of on where everything is or if I just randomly ly, I hit a red beach every single day and the offseason to figure out what we're doing with the chiefs held sometimes tell me.

i'll tell you what is a good way to know who you're kind of a targeting infancy is if they ask if you can get told that the incident guy and you kind of help with the recruiting process yeah like i'll never get when you just that told me that they were interested in get in brand Brooks sound like, dude, please get this dude here. Here would be so beneficial. He's an unbelievable player. Big, strong, fast. So I made sure on text and .

brand books throughout inc.

Y, K, K. There he was probably the money. But you know, it's nice to let somebody know you. You want to play with them, and I definitely want to play with him for sure.

Yeah, no, I remember, I remember was like two thousand and fifteen, sixteen somewhere around there. And there was a riding huts in our center IT just went to oakland. And there was a big question, like a man, where we going to go the centres on my man I went up to john dorsey was our gm at the time. Like john, I know, I know a center. You might be tired of the team right now, but I don't know a center if you want to go get him.

I think you'd fit IT perfectly.

You try to get the chief to trade .

for one thousand percent every year.

Well, yes, we don't need now. But before, before created, and honestly, before much more. But there was there, there was a one point in time. I think there actually was a collar, a conversation.

and didn't go very far. I almost, that almost happened. Everybody tell me.

no, IT was a cool that that never came close. But I was, I did. I mean, that was about as far as me trying to recruit Jason Kelsey gun.

But yeah, I feel like the free agent, I mean, you gotta be able to talk to somebody, call somebody and have a conversation with, make him feel comfortable about where they are, sign and stuff like that, that that just goes with being a good teammate, reaching out guys and that have just signed. Or, you know, mean, all that is just make a sure you set the tone for the chemistry whenever he walks in the building. Man.

for sure, for sure. I tell you what. I'm not.

I'm not good. goodbye. I going to take some of these guys.

We lost a lot of great players, guards. They're been important people to our organization. So you know I think yeah just it's suck.

So that's that's a sad part of our ency is a it's sad and happy. Happy guys are going paid. You're happy guys are doing well, but obviously, you know, you don't want to lose any image. You you want to play these guys forever and just doesn't happen there with your brother.

Most interesting part of free agency use so far. What was the most interesting one?

We got mabe Rogers, one of the jets. Yeah, I think the right, your situation with the jets and packed ers, that's the most interesting one to me. Yes.

that's going to go down me back. Got to love IT z released by dallas. yeah. Man.

play he ever had in a dell uniform is .

it's a hard swallow right there jAiling Randy to the dolphins.

I mean.

that I was that was interesting because they they're only a year away from that super bowl. And that defense looked like they were a Stellar top tear defense. I think Bobby wagner left jail, branza leaves.

The only one left now is air Donald and he's talking. He's set on camera, said he doesn't really need football anymore. So it's got to make sense from to play.

I think one that isn't really on here, but I think this should be is the chicago bears pay trade for DJ more in the first. I think chicago is low key this off season. They're making some moves. There are some good year.

The G M. Came from kc. Well, he's doing some .

good things and they got some really good drama as well as they've given fields they've given in fields some tools now to be successful with an often. So I really think that they have made a lot of good moves. They also kind of teach you what 你 要 你 要 跟 他 CarOlina, you Frank, right down there. I guarantee former quarter .

fights and CarOlina, man.

we just talked about that.

I think that will be interesting scenario. I as a dear card of the sense, I I mean shout out to the sense for given another chance. Man, I think he, I think he got a bad rap in open in and magas football of guys that can just in time make decision that changed the x anything is going on.

So what mean director plan an provo aie together by by the end of the first quarter, really the middle of the second quarter, the defense that your playing has seen every single play that you've less you have like a trick play in your backpack ket that you want if I can pull out at some point talent. So it's like you've got to start improving if you want to make something shake. So i'm telling dear car that i'm going to art, i'm going to run this around. I'm going to run that. And I like, think I had like one .

hundred and eighty ards and two touchdown.

The one did Derek a, get you that kia? Derek a, another bon's stat of, like three catches for thirty six yards and a touchdown. Give me a free car. But dear car got me the most yards that I ever had in in approval.

I will say, two, two studies.

And he was just, I supose to run a corner. I told him about to run a corner post and like direct deal, and through the thing right on the money, right on time studdy.

I will say I don't know much about what happened in with the raters and dark car. He had a lot of good numbers. Everybody, i've talked to you that to play with the guy has good things to say about him opens of lemon skill players so you hopefully they works out in orland because a pretty good teams surrounded too.

The team really what they're missing was a quarterback. They that their defense was has been and still is a very, very solid defense um offensively uh you know theyve theyve struggle to move on after jue. So yeah hopefully dark car from the answer.

Well, I mean, Derek cars got a battle .

that James is before.

right? Yeah and he thrown like thirty touch down the thirty intersections in one season. crazy.

Yes, it's not a good one to one ratio is bad.

right? IT isn't paid, man. He did IT .

pelletan has what you need to keep you on track to your goals no matter what season of life you're in.

And as professional athletes, we know how chAllenging IT could be to adapt your fitness needs to your busy schedule, especially during the nfl season.

Pellett has been a great tool to help me adept my routine to my busy schedule of traveling for money in my foobar, podcasting, parenting and everything else I go on this year. Pellets is great for when you're traveling between games at the gym, or when you just need a moment to recover.

That's right again, that's one pill dot com.

Hey, ryals, at mid mobile, we d like to do the opposite of what big wireless does. They charge you a lot. We charge you a little. So naturally, when they announced theyd be raising their Prices due to inflation, we decided to our Prices do do not hate in you.

the gig bc detail. Let's move on to free agency rumors. Let's get to what everyone wants to hear about, Jason, what we know about the free agency rumors.

And we got a big one in the eagles rumors. You guys just brought in texas running back the number one kind of rated running back bejan. Robin said.

sir, I was actually lived in this morning. Sam, in the building. Meda, nice, let me tell you, looks the part half .

you can pass the I test. You got a chance.

Protest artist.

that right now doesn't mean anything above absolutely nothing.

Not I mean that that draft.

right.

bringing why we bring him for .

draft because you bring in everyone, you're going to bring in probably top five running backs if you bring IT in running backs. So this is a part of the draft process. Uh, they bring in all of the drafts, not necessary all of them, but you got thirty up to thirty visits that you can go on as a drafty and you can pick and choose the ones you know, fit your your skill set the best I would assume or give you the best chance to get the hide traffic.

That's a door. You have thirty choices. You get the teams get thirty, the teams .

teams get thirty. See this this news me. You want to start this over.

I think so.

The teams get thirty guys to bring in and they brought in beja n Robinson, nice. Yeah, you guys are definitely drafted in first.

Yeah.

that's what that means. One one hundred percent IT also could mean something else because the same for disco. Forty nine years brime an on a team visit.

And remember jim harbor coming out to excitement? No, they they came up, me, pumped up. Lot of energy, shook his hand. We talked about some nuclear beach. And as year early years going to cleveland, the summers harb, tim harper, k. The him and john, a harbour used to go up to you could beach in the summer's money is cool talking, look clean, talk with him.

But the first thing he did was shake my hand, grab my m, my kind of size me up, look me up and down did not pass the I test because who did they draft? Vane mcDonald to one thousand a percent. Pass the I test.

good.

I test is a good idea of I get a plus. I test a plus less plus guy. I was a frequent nature and he is absolutely st. Um and then um yeah where else where else do you have any fun?

I went two places, I think all three. I went the same, Lewis, canada city. And then the field of I was in my last stop.

IT was a very late in the process. I went to capital, grew with Howard mud and ugine chang. And I was like, what is this crazy, often to lanka, toward mud? He's a very unique person, to say the least.

yeah. And I knew that he had coach jeff parity for years, who obviously was one of the guys that I looked up to as as undersize center coming out of college. I thought I was good. I felt like I went.

well, they did because they did. yeah.

Met andy first time I was IT .

was a stash bright red then, or IT was a kind of like starting change to a .

bit IT would be great.

be great right now. I I got never go when I, but the other harbor went to the ravens. The ravens asked me to come in, and I go to the ravel's facility and meet everybody. I meet her ball, were talking about nuclear beach again.

And harbor brothers just love talking.

We have some good convoys. We have some good convoys. And was, there were also just awesome guys.

Obviously, john was also at university since, and city as well. He stopped you there. But I met one of the guys that I had. I was iodized.

I just always looked up to because uncle down or uncle who who also played college ball um you do yeah he was up including and ran into A S. E. Newsman went to a signing that as he newson was at, and as he newsman at the time, was the gm of the bottoming ravens.

And he went to the signing when, as I was playing for cleaning. So obviously hall fame cliver Browns tighten, and he got a, he got a picture sign to the Kelsey boys with us. He knows his signature on as him dunk in on somebody in the end zone.

And man was excited to meet housing and tell him, you know, I mean, like that, I would clearly cared. I saw you. This is like, I see this picture in my mind when I think, as you know them just being study.

And I walked to the room and IT was immediately sit down. I like this hits the clicker on the T. V, and it's like six plays in a row of just personal file penalties.

You had a bus in out.

did I had way more? But he was at least one a game and he went through IT and he he posited after after the fifth one, just posited, put the, put the remote down and just looked at his like, son, are you in ash le? I .

just look like.

well, after you just played all those clips, I don't want to like.

what can clearly you know, you show me, you want a flip.

Like, I need to clean that up. Yeah, I need to clean that up. It's a fifteen our pending.

But I am a good dude. I promise i'm a good do. I'm not hard to work with.

I'm a team guy. I just play a little bit fire that I need to control sometimes. And um yeah he was just kind of star is like we don't need assets.

I like well noted .

and yeah that there was something that I had to work on was those personal file penalties still had a few in my early years. Holly, I don't have any more um kind of ahead when already last year, but we're moving on. We're moving.

You don't mean we're doing Better. Another front one work quick, I went to the at the time washington red is now the washington commanders mike shanahan walked into that room, not knowing a single thing about anybody. So I walk in, I meet that.

I meet the offer of koshin hand and obsess my shine hand. Big denver barkers legend. right? One, one of the super balls.

Will elbot. yep. And I am meeting all these guys at me, ka shane and as the oc m man.

And nice, nice to make way that I I was a electronic seen, really smart. Then I go in and I meet the the title coach. And shame they has a lot of energy.

That dude was really fun to talk to about football, man, and he seemed really excited about getting Better. And then and then, like, i'm passing everyone in the hall, ways they knock on the door introduced me to matter. flu.

R I don't like a man matter. He seemed like he was like fun to work with two man. These news are all like Young, good, like a good energy. And then I go and meet the dawn who might shine a hand. And he's talking to me about how the test that they just put me through that I scored high, very high, unlike the problem solving test, IT was like this like puzzle, like the therapist said in front of me or a psychiatrist. I should say one of those.

I'm not sure what right either yeah.

put like puzzles in front of me and asked me to like the cipher oma, like figure them out and and tell me why. And IT was just like I was going through all of this and and I didn't IT didn't last very long, but when I got out, when I got into my own hands, the office, he told me as like I was one of the highly graded on those, and I was just writing to be a good thing, right? Problems and i'm going to gain out of problems. Is that mean I have a lot of problems like my head of.

have a lot of experience .

out of the thing? Either way, they drafted a Jordan read, who is a dog for a quite a bit of time. Use a dog.

They jeff them after you got jeff to do correct?

Yeah, very good. yeah. There was a fun, little fun, little kind of tour. I went on. The man had A I kicking up with red ryan. I went on a lot of interviews because I had a red flag, and I .

want we a interview to change.

He has a good film, good film, very interested in and what this guy has been doing. So yeah, we also got cheese rumors.

That's right, cheese rumors. Patch my homes has mysteriously, well, i'm mysteriously like this a very suddenly liking some tweets about the the android hopkins and odeo beacon junior.

Now right now, right now.

one is from the newer chief, uh, Charles of mana, that says the Andrew happiness, come on. Fan, we waiting on you. Cheap king.

okay, like that. I like a pound. And a pound said, like part of canada.

I like that. yeah. I mean, you cannot go wrong with a guy like the hab. I do know that he is with the cardinals, so that might be tampering ing. I'm not sure what um is qualified under.

I am just like going to treat out that's tempered .

and just like going to treat no, no, no I think but our guy eated IT .

but uh either he yeah is definitely right. The others from a this pride that says I went to be surprise of oil or d hop, go to the chiefs. I want to be that both guys go to the down there with the second part of the some dogs .

in the receiver room. Right now though, that's the thing I like. I get IT odell d hop, top to you guys, top. Tear guys. Panel.

you guys got all that money left to spend on mercy was right?

White money. yeah. We we very much. I don't think I actually I don't know where our cap is right now, how close we are to IT.

Have you like any other streets? I'm not big on twitter. I'm not very big on twitter. But what I go on twitter, I will like a tweet if it's not temporary.

I don't think liking .

a eet tampering on .

your point tweet a tweet could be perceived as here.

I'll tell you this. I this is what bread vez told me. He said that, um, fucking out of my way, fucking call me more about this. Travis, stop.

Sounds good. I does not your brother. No, no, no.

yeah. He looks good. He looks good. He looks good because somebody keep like he goes. You keep travels of my office for the next couple days. I players as we've reached the segment where we have moved beyond football in some ways.

this is a new .

IT is players as is a new segment. We obviously to the hogwart d's houses last week, um this week in honor of a delt porto on twitter. Prince.

I think I got right .

since dad hog word's houses, can you please do n of players spoke on, yes.

a great man, do you? Member, the poking .

man I do. I remember .

and me .

my game. Boy, I had the blue and the red one beat both of those games. I think there's another like a gold one at some point.

Um yeah, there was like only 皮卡丘 sort like that。 I did IT all anything on the game. Boy, I did.

I haven't did IT since we actually had take that back. I also to put him on snap on one ten to six four. Get all those pokey man. So i've been catching a mall for a long .

time for you. Big pokemon. A, I about IT, I was about IT because, and I was our childhood, that I have really kept up with too much poke months since .

a child who who was your starter and poke man.

who was my starter if I could get a charge. Art man, i'm in.

Charles, are you don't start with charges. Are Charles are the end product. You get three choices.

You get charmante, bobster, squirl original choices. Millions again, that's down the road. Go straight. You to start off with the analyst ent years. You got to start off .

with the charming. So you're big fire guy.

I think charity was the first one I chose to some more, some about. Fire is just more intimate than water. And he was like.

a dinosaur.

They all that, I mean, absa definite is kind of dinosaurs.

yeah. But not a fun one is like, is Bobby s bobble store was .

kind of like you're leafleting. It's like a vegetarian. That's why I think I was went for the charmante a charmante seemed like a car of war.

Yes, who knows? Really in scandal. I mean, it's just hard to get in hindsight. I like squad a lot, but when you first start the game.

I just hear you hear the name squaring this. I am not impressed.

So maybe .

maybe they, but you got a super soaker kid.

real original, what to poke my name squirter. Here we go. We're going to get to the players as, okay, I guess we're get to me in your last, let's save us. The first one, I think this one's pretty obvious. We get A J Brown .

is the easy one.

Yeah, I think. And they were ready to go to choke me.

Choke on A J. Brown. He is an absolute, he looks like me. I mean, ag Brown.

right there. I think this was a pretty .

solvet plantar poke. Minds ripped.

small batman's ripped. And yeah.

no of these looks .

like the other .

hate Brown. Hope, I hope the nfl guys, they were living. Nobody takes offense this because this is on our producers, is on our producers. We had nothing to do this.

something to do that. Yeah, no, they are ready to get rid of mind. Let me cancel. This might be my favorite one is, as, of course, coffin. This one not so much for looks or temperament, is more just I think it's in reference to his iconic drafted video that really ruin his entire draft stop, which is killing.

I mean.

he he's one of the best singles in the nfl. He's twenty for many thousand a year. Whatever he is, he's going alright.

So let me change. So coffin, the gas man, baby luck IT in. Terry, kill. What do you? Who you to time kill?

I'm going pick too. He is the most electric player in the national football here. You can't say anything wrong about the guy. He is small version of a the most electric player and I think that's 皮卡丘 and and honestly, 皮卡丘 poke man。 I always thought pickture was the school was like that the main character but you're .

not I mean in in the show use the main character um I think 皮卡丘 always got the most amount of love and then there's obviously one game where you had to play with them yeah I think you 皮卡丘 is for sure the iconic a character。 When you think of poking on, you know you find a super smash brothers. You know, you would do that.

You would do that. And that reminds me, time kills. I think that's a good.

I think there's a good cup. Thank you. A new one, guys. A new one, brady, we got to go. The best spoke among of all time the most one.

Me too.

Me too. I try to looks like him right there. You see IT almost in the cheek bones, very.

That's, I actually have a pair of brady underwear in that purple color right there. I got my time bridie. I'm trying to be great out your dog, right?

Andy re, andy read.

I don't know, I don't know this one.

This one's name is alex. I'm look at that looks just like the great.

be great. We need to change in red. We need to just change them from yellow to red. And then there .

would be a perfect, make a red alexa .

that is just a red mash. Pretty .

good right there. Yeah, we I think you're onna like this one. I don't know if you know who this poking man is. We got jaks look at that stop IT.

I mean, it's the hair is the hair is fucked up, but IT is one hundred percent to hair.

George killers also got a picture that works really well for drinks.

He's got the locks. He's got the locks, for sure. Traver, I hope you don't take a fence to him.

but just an herbert. Joyon.

I mean this okay charges ah .

that's you the .

reason I yeah ool elective .

poke man for electric player who plays for the boats.

But who's there when James? And if if these they like who these are charges, there are another charger poking man.

I bunch of electronic elective poke mum. But I think the one that sums up dorma James attitude the most is Polly rf looking. We just looks like a bully. The hit is so hard that you started seen that little spiral. Als now, and like to go on .

on with, James is a bully because he power bound me.

I mean, he doesn't more than just you. He plays like a bully so that. Antonia Brown.

baby, baby.

really who we got, we got gios. I don't know that how you pronounce.

That's how I always I don't.

Well, gios is well known for its fierce temper and reputation for causing nothing but destruction that you see a pattern. And then, of course, germany s iconic move is poor, where I think we all saw. And tony Brown, without his gentle and the pool that one day.

ready? That's that's all we got. I don't know. There's nothing else really got.

No, no, no. We got to get. We got to get menu. Oh.

many tramps, you want to do me?

How do you the snoring one course.

I X slag was .

one of .

my favorite acts. I iodized sore legs is refusal to get out of the house growing up. He just was not a big mover and have really is just fine for a long time. Sore legs. So I will gladly be sore legs our entire childhood.

growing up my entire childhood. You'd never realize this because you were sleep and you are a part of the snoring.

You sort, mom, sore.

Every issue did I, I know for a fact you did I listen to. You was like a choir at night.

Everybody had their own time. There was only one person, you and I both know there was only one person that was bringing in the house down and that mom SHE was up on the third floor. And if we didn't close the little door that went up to third floor, you are sleep in SHE was, I mean, wall rattling snores was mama keli now he was.

well, we know. Now SHE sleep.

know that was the time. And he turns out everybody has got sleep on the other .

than trave.

What end? I've been tested and they said, you don't, but I also snore, which I think means you do. So who knows who am?

I was poking one .

of my trap. You're tough phone because you're too handsome to really compare you to a lot of pokemon. But I think so. I tried to go the flanking out, like which pokemon is the most deceptive and in the most trickery because you're a man of tricks. So I won't miss your mind. I think it's a great box man and they really suits you know he has he has the ability to see in really with any crowd a very good um at copying people in in taking dance moves and just watching them and then doing .

I just been to mind my whole life man I just been run around I receivers and act and like, yeah no I don't know. I guess I mean that's that's I mean what that is is that a game that .

is a game deficit that looks like a game defy made by like some italian designer, just change the way we look at fashion.

look like, make sure of like pennock o and some evil spirit. So what .

designer would that that money.

what looks like a mini money, money. I can see mary razing with IT. Yeah, I could see that.

That's pretty good though. The mine, the ultimate flagger. I'm just, i'm just created an illusion .

in free crean losing. This is to be the least creative pokey mon, right? I just .

pretty .

human.

There I are. mr. Mim.

right? We're running out that we got one hundred and four hundred hundred. And these workers, where do we get one hundred and fifty from? I saw mom on the street today, and I think of .

that is pretty good.

very odd to just have one human on there .

and it's a mine. Well, that's fun. That's fun. Players as let us know what you guys think of IT um if you guys had any other pokey man that you think being in Jason would be Better off suit with, please let us know. And yeah, keep shootings with these players as we like this segment. It's a fun segment for or .

if you have a Better name for this signal as players as seems a little off. So if you can think of a Better name will take that too. I we're going to get to the region and interview. The reason everyone is here listening this episode, my once again, the Richard ized interview is brought in to you by accelerated energy drink.

We're doing .

the same. What do you think do I drink one? I drink a limit, one the other, the other day, IT was really good. I don't know what the flavor was.

but IT was Cherry limit. That's IT Cherry limit. I know back of my hand very eliminate ah what else we got a peach paradise is another good one. Um yeah there there a few good one.

Energy drinks.

Yeah, these things drink every day.

Yeah, try if you're about to watch one of the godfathers, a sports center school me when he comes to interviews. So yeah, without rather do. Here is the rich eyes and interview .

read and really me at all.

The cameras now actually aren't all the cameras are now on. That's how I can tell her role in that you're fush. That's how I rolling good to measure .

same same is one of the guys who made sports center. Um he is also um the first on air town for nfl network is true the first men I believe to run a forty and winter yes.

lace up senior crops not to be is so difficult to not be a control. The and the answer is opposed the question you drive the segment.

So first of all, I would prefer that you .

take to introduce myself. Yes, he's a great god. He's a great guy, his named Richie. And here on new heights, either I congrats on this pot.

Thank you much. It's been fun starting IT. I've talked to trap more than i've talked to our entire career school. So it's it's been fun a kind of I mean, between the pod and then the suit ball with the family, which you enough to do in my folks. We've been closures of fAiling ever before.

How great is? Yeah, that is great. yeah. And he was great to haven't your folks on my show? Yeah, yes. So i've had I dona, i've had travis, and here I am on yours first that's that is what we would call and upset like I didn't I didn't see that one coming yeah yes.

I yes, but we kind of leads into a topic. And so what do you think of the athlete podcast that are out now as as someone who is a professional journalism has been, yes, you've seen the evolution of media OK. What do you think of all of the more right? But the success that is.

it's great. Look, I mean, when the nf film network started twenty years ago, by the way, the first show is called nfl total access, which is still told that name but they called IT that for a reason because fans want access more than ever before ah and so I took the approach for my job like i'm kind of gonna in the middle of what nfl network is going to be and how I might evolve and become that i'm going to take the fan and put him in my shoes, the fly on the wall, all that conversation so fans can't get enough of inside real talk.

And so you and your brother are providing that here. You talking about the other athlete podcast like brand and Marshals and the pivot and rest of what i'm seeing out there. This is real talk like you're getting real conversation.

Um you know part of the conversation um at the super bol was about your teammate James brad berry before the game and you know I guess debo referred him not to start anything appear on yeah, but that's the sort of real tokyo sometimes get out of these podcasts. And I think it's great. I think it's great.

I think it's great that you know you have a platform and you can come on here and control your own. You are correct. Like that's what this day in age is about like you don't need to like I need to press conference. No, you need a podcast, you know. So I think I I think it's great.

I really do awesome. I was one of the reason we started honest was first of all seen some other some success and you're one we were for certainly nervous of, you know if the season that going well, know how how the fans is going to react to IT. These are all like very big concerns going into IT. Yes, got really .

lucky is just for sure we did IT.

But I think the other big piece is what you just said is like, no, I have the ability ding to talk and say exactly what I think, yes, and control that narrative instead of saying IT through somebody else, which I mean, journalism is done that really, really well for a long time yeah is a lot of I have nothing to pect for all to beat reporters and killed out. Everybody covers anything you I do well, I some you're right, not everybody, but the vast majority yeah, it's it's been fun to be able to do that and it's been cool to be able to have that connection with fans that I haven't .

really had before, right? And you know like you let everyone know you were coming back by making a video pounding several beers like is that would be one okay this is great um and well for me is that would be multiple your one a hammer down to be a sipping night for me but so you were able to do IT on your own terms, your own way, with your own brand, with your own style and get IT out there. I mean, there's there's nothing more powerful than that. I guess I should also when you're talking about players podcast, if I don't mention tailored to wan, but of the body is naming and yeah the'd be very specified in them um so they've .

I S I just want to .

I mention those guys demotion A I do .

mean this when I told travels else come here yeah or when we told drives are come here .

a good sane couldn't be at the combine. I've got a host saturday and night live. That's an acceptable please. right? IT IT sounds so absurd, like IT were right.

I just reminds me time in high school where I asked a girl out on a date and her answer was, I can't do IT this weekend, i'm going to yoga slavia and and I thought that's an ellis orate way to cover your tracks of saying, no, it's manufact but her family did actually go on a trip to U. S. No IT turned out to be true, but I just sounded so absurd.

IT had to be false, and that's the way. Sorry, I can't go to come on. I got a host. Snl, yes, that's what that sounds like to me, but he's gna be great at.

I think, you know, if it's so well into, I mean, they make IT so easy for the house that all crew up. sure. Going to, I can't wait to see.

Was I going to cook up? yeah. When I told my talking, you said, no, I that he was so excited. I mean, I wish I could be there because we grew at you you you store patric scope into all you guys at center were one of the reasons that we were in the sports besides loving and playing. Yeah, like we could not wait to go to the TV in watch sports center and you guys were unbelievable.

I love to doing that. Man, yeah, i'd love to doing IT. Seven years I did IT and I was twenty six when I first got there.

Yeah, I hired me out of writing california. I was the local sports anchor in north in california. Um the reading chico market is entirely possible. Aron Rogers was watching me as he was eating his fruit in chico. By the way, i'm serious like it's entirely possible like that's where he was living at the time.

And if he turned on channel seven, he was watching me do my thing and an espn and I sent a tape to a head hunter, and they they found me there. In age twenty six, I was right on sports center and time of my life. Man, yeah, time.

I see. I see a the video, somebody will tweet out like a highlight of me. Call in a miami of ohio game and ninety nine of sports in our highlight.

Just IT looks like IT IT does look like a different person. IT just feels like out of body watching that. Yeah.

i've never thought about that. IT all gets because you lost.

you have lost your hair yet. J, it's, if you know, don't even, don't even start now. You, you're good.

You're good shape. I would. It's not. You don't get the creep.

How thirty five? Yeah, you're good. Yeah, yeah, you're good. So that's right around. That's when I started to lose mine. So I think you're fine but yeah IT just feels completely weird and which just a different IT was an amazing time yeah I loved .

every minute of IT and you you go .

straight from sports to the nfl yeah there rider on two thousand three I was getting married and um my contract came up eight days before my my wedding so I I got I got married seven days after leaving E S, P. N. Or being handed a cardboard box and total leave yeah yeah people tapping on the shoulder as you know yeah and you're that so and you're doing IT on your own terms, which is amazing. Well, if I and .

eventually they're going to .

have me the carpool somebody and at some point so that's what happened to me and I got married and and film that required me there in all three inner remember going into the hall of fame that year in August um the network didn't start till november and the first thing we did was go to the hall fame just to sure do some interviews and and put them you start our our network with some interviews of the hall of famers and people were coming up to me saying, you know, what is nfl network? Like what are you doing? But why would you leave E S P. N? Like what is happening? And I was also wondering the same at the same time and then we came on the air and we ten of of the two thousand three season yeah right in the middle the season we came on right in middle november fourth two thousand three ward and IT IT weird and word like I don't know why we didn't start with the season. I don't know why um I don't think we are ready yet. We went on the air and we're celebrating our twenty years .

this fall eighteen .

eighteen brothers trying to get the combined coverage off the ground you we ran into uh on occasion a bill polian wall he was to run in the competition committee and in this event, old school people are like, you're bring a camera here to do what like in what you know.

Like why? Like what? How is that? Why would anybody want? How is the vertex jump televisions? You know, I mean, what is the and so two thousand four, we didn't do IT from the network side of things.

And fell films produced in a bill Patrick and old sports center ranker and mike maac, who is working in nfl films at the time. Yeah, they did the first combined in two thousand four, sitting on chairs like this on the field with the, with the screen behind them. Yeah, just talking about what they are seeing on the field.

And then all five we showed up, got for on total access into the show from there every night. And then around two thousand, nine or soul is when they put me in a booth and I start calling the action like it's a golf tournament slash track me. It's a weird event.

IT is not well rounded at all. But now IT is again a time of renewal like it's been two plus weeks since the super bowl and I miss IT and every team is now on the clock yeah and. So many questions abound about you know you're one of them is, well, like what you're gonna is one of the many questions that people want to know the answer to now where is Rogers is going to go? What's going to happen with lamar?

What's going to happen with the jets quarterback? What's going to happen in fill in the blank? Any team? Everybody's making news now. And the combined is an excuse to talk about IT.

Yeah, yeah. It's also everybody's coming here so that have you ever gotten like inside information at the combine? Just talking executive and so good.

Are you serious? Okay, here to deal the combine is the .

it's a gossip.

Oh my god, gossip is not even the proper words or I don't know. Like just think of anybody out there listening, watching yeah think of the the lowest lipped friend of, okay, put that person a tank, get him drunk, get him totally drunk all right. So they have lost all sense of any filter.

Yeah that's the combine and that's what they do. Every I have heard so many rumors here in just twenty four hours and it's always like, so here's a deal. This is what I know. I swear I got IT from somebody who's really it's like some assistant to the trainer of the agent to the assistant of the assistant just and you don't know what is really. Suddenly Rogers as a miniature who's gone maybe you know come back as of another creature and for the jets like, so that's that's yeah oh god, it's just a nonstop rumor mill and of the chat st of Cathy and everybody is the cat quest of them all and just like you, it's a wild man that is is wild being here.

not participant this my first time ever here not running and the time ever .

came in and I don't know why come back. No reason right?

Ah that is one thing like everybody is here for one week and they all just want to hang out and have fun. Yes, on top of that, going to look at potential da pics and prospects really .

they're all doing this on the side. Yeah yeah I mean and coaches love you blown off steam and of general managers and executive IT has been a long season and it's been like two weeks since. And plus, you know if you make the playoffs, the super bowl, you know it's great to walk around and just you know say, how do your colleagues who did not make that super bowl and it's know it's a fun dynamic.

IT really is. And so you also get to see people kind of laid back, not in the middle of reason. Not getting ready for a season. Not getting ready for a draft is a nice little downtime. So there is a social aspect .

to the combine IT started .

in two thousand, five five. okay. And so um just like anything as you're learning in this business of content creation, yeah the best ideas come out of sheer bottom total sheer board.

And so the first command we were at o five, where done with a pre tape interview that we're airing later on that night for total access that we're going to do live at eight o'clock at night. Good lord, which is sitting around its me and terrell Davis sitting in the stands at the old R, C. A.

Dom, just waiting on a break, everyone's on a break, dinner break, which just, you know, i'm sit there in my suit. He's sit there and his suit got nothing to say each other because we have been hanging out all day and I hear that the homes of the lights in the air conditioning easily, it's like a White noise putting you to sleep. I just turned, I don't know what why this popped in my head, but I looked down in the field.

I see the forty or dash line. I said, it's the world. Davis, hey t how fast you think I came around the forty yeah and he goes right now, i'm like right now in my suit, in my light up shoes and he said, I swear to you, this is what he said. He just laughs. He goes, you can't .

option what you mean.

You can't like, I can't like, like physically go down and do IT because of that location, you know, watch me to do and like, that was my sense and and he goes, no, you just can't run to forty I said, IT, i'll just tell I said, fuck you, watch me. So I go down on the field in my suit. Yeah, I remember what the suit I was wearing and my lace up genre crock shoes that I had bought just a special for the combine.

And I went out and I ran IT. And I had no idea that somebody was in the the truck hit record, oh my god. And I had no idea somebody was .

shooting IT. Yeah.

no, zero, completely no idea. Just run IT. Just later on, the organic one hundred percent cursed out throughout data, ran the forty out of sheer bottom.

And then later on that night, on total access, they surprised me at the end by showing IT six, seven, seven. terrible. I don't yet that slow.

Brother, I talk for living. Okay, you play. I talk now you're talking. You're now in my field and its it's .

disturbing but I ran .

I propose nothing and later on that night they showed and then the next day in walks in my home of the sea ox and we're in interviewing him in the dal of interviews did I see you on TV this morning running? And oh my god, and of course they showed that he left. Joe gibs saw the same thing.

He walks in. He starts tell a story about how he once pulled the guy out of the stands at a training camp just to show like how tough IT is to run. And he made him run.

And yeah, you look like that guy. And over and over and over and IT, we showed IT. We showed IT.

yeah. Next year I show up at the combine walk in the R. C.

A dome. First person I see on the field is home grant. And he says to me, you're running again this year.

And I what you mean? I don't think so. And he looks at me.

He goes, you gonna beat your time. I swear, god, this is how this was born, Jason. He goes, you've got ta beat your time. And oh my god, my congress is like chAllenging my competitive spirit. How do not .

try to be do that?

Yeah and he just looks at me and he goes, just don't hurt yourself of my old shit. He's right. yes. So I ran IT again. And then I ran IT again.

And then I year after year after year, then I just thought to myself, you know, this thing is jump at the shark. Like here i'm running. And just as that happened, they came up with the advent of the simo camp, like, so overlaying one run after the other. And so we would now overlay the real forty or dash runs of really fast people over me.

lead athletes.

and just watching them fly off the screen. And barely at the one airline, IT was, like, slapped the comedy even worse than the rather the worst one was. Then they decided to overlay me against bj roj.

remember? Bj roj, okay, I we're on the opposite side. Yeah, like the two of you were problem.

I I saying, center, do you know? B. J. Roj, i'm sure you have bashed eggs with this guy, right? So he was at the combine. He did not run very fast at the combine, but IT was faster than me.

And so watching this big dude run off the screen on me, and then somebody came with the idea of giving me a head start and watching bj through me was like pure slapstick comedy and you know, i'm a former stand up comedian in college, so I totally understand and relish the a value of of a joke yeah okay. And i'm like, I know IT doesn't look good for me. I get IT, but that is fucking funny and so like that that was so we would do IT every year and then now we're doit for charity again.

So and anytime anybody is working to laugh at themselves.

looks good on yeah, I told, look, I mean, how do we not laugh at ourselves .

in this world?

I'm not surprised. I mean, somebody put the members. No, I.

So any rate is about six one wow, eight years ago, twenty fifteen yeah one of our great while she's moved on to filed europe, I believe now in UK, SHE was in a meeting and they came up with an igc. Aris wants her name. Came up with an idea. He called me up.

SHE was, how would you like to run for charity? yes. And I mind. sure. yeah. Like what you got, mind.

And SHE mentioned how the handful of league charities, probably we should choose one of them to help mix together, get the nf fell involved, which is always important um and so the one that jumped out, amy was saying to you, children's research hospital, as two and fifteen we had three very small kids and I just thought to myself, this is the worst call apparent can get how do I, you know, like on behalf of the small children that I have for all the other kids, let me just have this stupid idea that was born out of born dom, turn into something. Yeah, and we've just grown IT and grown IT and grown IT. This is my very long winded way of saying i'm not running IT at the combine anymore.

That's the idea that i've now because the combine when the combine got cancelled due to cover in twenty twenty one, I didn't want to run to stop. So I ran at its so far stadium with a bunch of players from the nfl legends community, OK and some kids from play sixty. So I love the idea that I think my run is the only idea, whatever you want to call IT outskirt event event and yeah the only event that mixes the legends community with kill kids that's also some like play sixty nfl legends.

So I got Jerry rice and rod woods and interior Davis fittingly and Chris Carter whole bunch of um just a name a few showed up at so far and ran with some very good hearted deep pocketed individuals who donated. And we ran IT and IT was just pretty cool. Okay, so the next year, last year we did at the rose bow that was incredible.

A michigan guy. Yeah, michigan man. And i'd covered the rose bowl and bose last game for my school newspaper.

Here I am in the rose bow with the same dude logo painted on the field. IT was wild, an rg three ran and vick ran and fast. And and that got that got some more buzz going, which obviously means more donations. So I think that's the way to do IT. Yeah, I think .

that's just .

the way i'm going to from now on because um I can also make IT bigger, hopefully make .

IT more right?

And I run here and by running here, when I run here or when I ran here, it's at the end of a day of a broadcast, and understanding on my eyes eaten like garbage. I feel like my hip flexors like atrophying just, and I dread IT IT. I would be doing that this whole, this whole pop, you know, this whole day i'm up in the booth. You can ask mayor que, you had D J. On, I think earlier yesterday, Daniel german, like i'm up there like stretching and commercial break and whatever miserable so gotto have to run later today.

No, it's not the way you want to get up. No, not asking for you know.

And plus at some point, long story short, you know, i'm fifty three, I don't know how the long people wanted watch me run anyway .

IT seems like people .

are still enjoying .

IT I certain love IT every year. Thank you. Have you ever thought about doing another event to?

I've pretty why don't you know lift way to whatever five been? No, that then it's just it's done and plus, you know, that's the logo of my show now the running man, the logo of my show. And so in the suit time.

And the funny thing is when when they first came up with the idea when my show was at the time was born by direct TV, you know I own the show now that's another long story but any rate direct TV was the one that birthed and um came up with the idea. How about you know, the logo is you and your suit running? I'm like great.

Then they created some like mad men looking silly ET um with me running. And the problem with their initial version of IT is IT was so real that my left leg when I run does kick out like I have a terrible running style. And IT look that I look terrible, said, do me favorite.

Can you make this a more appleton? And I watch them, just, I watch them on a computer, take my leg and move IT in more underneath my body to make a look like a more athletic silly yet like, i'm like, okay, now now we're good. Yeah.

I feel the forty is the event though, that everybody watches the comment like all the other event. Integrate when you're in IT, you care about all these girls and you know the coaches. But as a viewer was the first of our solar come by in the four is what .

the most relatives thing, Jason. I mean, like you know when you're going through your drills here that you're being put in positions that are on not natural to the game, but it's natural to see if your ankles flex as your hips flex, if you're gonna end that you're going to dip instead of bend, like that's what they're looking for when you're doing your drills. And for a fan, it's just like, well, I think there's a joro to it's an offensive one but which I think this is where your your line on your back .

to set the drill right .

exactly right. Like if you're on your bad cases, it's not gonna unda, it's bad news. You're not getting up. We should not be in this business exactly like that's not what you you want to see out if your offensive limit is prone on on his back. But for the drill, that is what they want to see because they they do want to .

see your help help correct.

right? So fans might be a little bit thrown off by that like run in fast in a straight line that you get yeah you can get IT. You can also just easily understand all that person's fast yeah that person is really fast or in other cases.

But so that's why many reasons why I think the forty is the most popular and and see who's fastest. And you can also do that metric like, okay, that guy is now the fourth fastest. I remember that guy who was faster or I don't remember that guy and he just shows you that running fast doesn't mean you're successful in the f. So that's .

a meat way again, right? And now with the simo camp .

feature that I was talking about before, like you're put in my homes over the fastest courter, back here, over Russell Wilson, over dad. yes. And fans love that. I know I do.

I want to see, did they .

put travis? Did we put travis over you here? Like that's the sort of ship we do to brothers like we do kind, kind of crowd. We do that like.

I don't try have had some. I know he ran into this process. I don't know he ran at the that's .

the sort of stuff that will do yeah yeah. So and I think people liked that. And also, i'd love the fact that we get to flex that.

We've been we've been around and if then that works, been around, we've been around. So and that's also, you know, I want to show we should show jail and hurts at the combine yeah right. So that's what say now that he has become what he is becoming a school back super star, right? Like this is where it's started.

And when he was here, like and I said also to in our meeting yesterday, like, we need to show on the screen even though he did throw, but we need to have black petty standing. The background of last year's quarter actuals, yes, where that kid and that combine, nobody's thinking what he could possibly do this year. And I kind of dig that those stories like you, I know again, you know they didn't work out for your team, but we did have sky more and patek o at the combine last year.

They both scored in the super ball and I don't know how many times you seen do that. He runs with the theory, right? And he was he ran four, three and change year last year and fell all the way to the seventh round.

So that's the sort of thing we're going to when the running backs run like hey, like pay attention because the kid who ran last year was chosen seventh round, he scored in the super bowl and sky more. The guy you were sold running the gotten in the wide receiver red drills, he scored in the super ball so you never know who's going to come out, right? You know? And so we love that. I love that stuff. I love that.

Do you have a favorite position group to ones that s always the harder to protect?

Here's a deal with me, with the combined. I view my role here is multiple fold. But i'm not here to tell you what you're seeing in a drill, and i'm not here to tell you what's on the all twenty two. Like that's not my my gig. My gig is to do two things.

One, put everything in perspective with what team needs are from what I do on my show every day for three hours, talking to people and talking in new, interviewing people who are willing to come on my show, I gather narratives. I gather what team fans are, interest, what teams and fans want, or are demanding or are talking about, and what the team needs are and free agencies right around the corner in the new league ar's beginning. So I love talking about what's going on in the football world completely and what these kids might fit in terms of a need. And also, it's just really, really dry watching some of the stuff so I try to keep IT entertaining and i'm sorry if i'm saying the wrong words to electronic. I want you watching yeah I don't want you turning off so I it's gotta be completely i'll say dush free you know like it's gotta I love .

completely I i've never use phrase but i'm still .

take IT that I know it's it's a you know it's not it's a very course way of of saying something, but it's true like I want you to have IT on you know in the background or pay attention. I don't care, but I just, I don't want you turn off like I can listen to this guy and other second, I can't listen like I I can't. I mean, seriously, you think is the key to being, I don't know myself.

I hopefully like that you have never come off. Well, that's the idea. Always been duce free to me.

Thank you, sir. I've never been more taken a back and compliment at the same time. I've never what an odd feeling is coursing through my my veins right now.

But that I I don't know, man, i'm just myself and I try not to take myself too seriously as we've talked about yeah and but I do want your attention and I does what I do for a living requires that you stay tuned and you know so I do three hours every day on my show. I do four hours every sunday morning on nfl game day morning yeah, i'll be doing six hours tonight, six hours tomorrow, eight hours saturday and eight hours sunday. And then the draft hits.

And it's like a telephone. So I don't do anything that's a half an hour long like if I ever have an hour long show in my career by like this is a walk in the park, how do I fit everything in you? Pretty much like i'll i'll be wondering, like I need more time, which is obviously what is great about a podcast like you can go as whatever you .

want yeah so eight hundred .

three years now. So I have to have a certain style when i'm on these shows that will keep your interest and not turn you off like I just don't want that the worst thing, but I also don't want certainly when i'm doing my show every day in three hours, I traffic and some sports talk, radio and up against the debate shows on other networks. Sure like I don't want to i'd love to be heard.

I don't want to be turned off and I like to be heard. But that's not my reason for doing what I do like, it's not my reason for being like I don't care from you. Um I don't care if i'm right. I care if if i'm wrong, like that's a fact .

you just to say something, just to get attention .

but I I have to say this I do love being right though. I mean, that's when it's great to have a show with your name on IT. When you're right, when you say something and you're right, it's great. I do not puff of my chest out, but that's kind of the philosophy that I have.

I want to go back to this just resets. I did not know this. You said you did stand up. And yes, what do you think that has helped you measurably?

how? God, nothing, nothing more difficult than walking into a room. Have you ever tried? I ve never tried.

IT brother is .

going to do saturday night. Yeah, is very difficult. Now I know he's going to be reading off the cute cards and he's going to be rehearsing.

You can be doing all be a set as you can. Ah support system there .

is just an S N L. Support system is first right?

Yeah tty good and but still it's it's exactly not perform shot and you can't break going to let you know whether they think it's .

funny or not. Yes, correct. And it's nerval racking and you know the only the nothing compares to to that. I know that feeling when you walk into a room and you've got your set, you've got your material, you and you you think it's going to a work, but the crowds off, or whatever. And boy, when IT box is terrible, terrible.

So I always had in my back pocket, the big finished for me was, and I know i'm dating myself, Howard cosell the announce again, this is late eighties, how cosell is one of my idols. Grow up. I would read the letters in in pen house magazine in his life, in his voice, killed every time when I say every time, never didn't kill, never didn't kill.

And my parents came to see me one time. Their, their new york city public school educators who came out to mission, and I think they have even drove jesus. They drove and they saw they were. And I did the act, and I introduce them in advance. So people were seen, I was doing IT in front of my parents and got to a particularly awful. And I just said, you get that mom place just went flat and I love nothing beats the feeling of of of getting math, you know laughter and feedback to the point where I I tell everybody who whenever i'm on any show, you know and you're crew here like laugh like I want to hear like i'm unexpecting yeah hearing that and it's not their job to laugh at my shit but I love IT if they did and I don't mind that I .

know it's over here. You try not to make money because of the show, but it's just working.

I like that. I like that when you're watching game day morning and you hear you'll hear the crew laughing and know hopman hour and whatever that that's energy dead like that. That means if they're liking IT in the room, that means you're liking IT on your culture ever.

You're watching IT. So i'm kind of engrained for that. A couple of years I did my show at the super ball in front of a live audience that was amazing.

And I love like I warmed up the crowd like I hadn't done that. And in years i'd love that. I love the feedback. And so it's made everything else i've ever done live TV that much easier.

Yeah, only thing that we that compared the one time that i've done my job as a broadcaster that made me feel the similar like butterflies is one year I did sports center at the Angels, giants world stories. So I guess that's two thousand and two. I guess the last world series I covered for P.

N. And so reason why I bring IT up is I met whatever it's called. Now I know, but at the time packed bell ball park, the home of the giants out there on the sports center setting, left center field games over, lasted really long.

I don't forget who one or who lost, but I know is that we're going live on sports center from their ten o clock at night one a eastern going to do the highlight. Haven't seen IT yet. That happened all the time to me.

But what got to highlight the spot.

brother, my first sports center that I did in my life, each twenty six, I, my first sports center was on a sweet sixteen saturday at seven o'clock at night. I had twelve highlights. I saw one highlight before going on here, one eleven of them.

We're gonna coming during the show is games running, coming out of the ebay and everything, and know it's all written out for you on a shot. Shit, not to get too deep and to IT you not like just looking at IT. By that you have notes, you're given notes.

But I just remember walking down from my first sports center of my life that I have two choices. I can pee down my leg or I can just go ahead and just suck IT up and do this thing like i've been built for this. Like, this is your moment.

Go do IT. Yeah, I talk to myself. Saw what I wound up doing with both. I peed down my life and I got the breast ring at the same time. I might have been doing sports center while urinating if possible.

But let's encourages, you're terrified.

but go do IT anyway. So ball park and they get in my year right before we're going live, are doing the highlight. If there is any mistakes, we've got a wait to do IT live again at two I am k and because they couldn't like just record IT for whatever reason, because they were coming out like the satellite length, IT was all live like they couldn't record anything.

So just wanted to let me know, because if you screw IT up any other time, we could just minute to the commercial break. You are on tape for the rest of the show. I could just record IT there. But first, so the reason why I made me wild is the higher crew would have to stay. The whole crew, like literally every human being on the site who wanted to go home like IT was the end of a long last night like .

and so .

everybody was like on pines and needles wanting me to to nail IT yeah and I that really freak me out like, i'm like, okay, i'm going like the whole crew is just like this as hold couldn't say the word possible like, so I mean, IT was nerve action. That's the only time I felt like a stand up type butterfly in my story. There is something .

about other people, people's lives being affected by yeah states or something like that, that resonates more with the personal. Brian keller are college for balk's me to center whenever I had a bad snap, I had never snap the ball before, said whenever I had a best sap, I can take a laboratory, the field, and that sucked right and running, and everybody is laughing at me, but took me to the next like, kills.

You obviously don't care if I make you on right, if you another bet snap, the entire team is doing a lap around the view. I tell you, I was so terrified to have a bad snap. This is going.

have my god y're going to go to thing .

something OK OK good.

So I don't. So you're freaking out.

I imagine. yeah. And I fail. And the entire team had to do a lap. And IT was, this was a .

terrible feeling that this, so that is basically the entire crew would have had to take in the lack of standing and sitting around for another hour for me to try and get IT right a second time here. Oh, man, yeah. But you know .

that professional .

so LED pipe wielding professional, you do, Jason is just in sorry.

do you feel like you're like performing like that when you're on there? You like have probably unconsciously thinking about that when you're in the standard.

I am not unconsciously thinking that I am at one million percent doing that. Yeah, i'm always thinking about what would be good. T.

V, what's not if I pushed the petal metal here in this block? I need to kind of pull back on the next one. And that's something Keith overman taught me years ago.

You know, he would, when I first started sports center, walking around the hallways, he would cross, pass me. He go, no, not yet. Next day, just walk and pass him.

He gave up, not yet. He keep walking. He save this to me day after day after day. So I finally get up the courage, say, OK, i'm, what do you mean? Not yet.

And he says to me, you haven't come close to being able to do the type of sports you can do. I like what you mean. He goes, everything's a joke for you.

Everything he goes. So do do yourself this favor. Do an entire show where you don't do a single joke, build up to a, don't do a joke and this and a highlight.

Just do one highlight strake. Then do an entire segment straight, then do two segment straight. Build up to doing an entire show where you don't make any jokes, then do that again, then do IT for a week, yes. Then build IT back up where you're throwing something in because if it's always a gag, always a joke.

Yeah, IT doesn't resonate.

IT doesn't feel right. And then plus, what happens when something serious happens? Yeah, you can be taken seriously. And I my, oh, man, like, i'm not even close. Like a like, boom.

My head exploded and I didn't know if I was capable of doing IT, but that here, this is great. The moment that I really hit me is I was for a year, begging, put me on the road. I want to go on assignment begging.

I, all I did was just sports center, never out on the road, never got to be in an event. And I like, please put me out there. So they finally relented.

After about thirteen, fourteen months of just pure sports centers, they sent me to cover a celtics seattle supersonics game and the old boston garden for NBA tonite. Remember, there was, there was always a two, and for the two shows, rpm, two night and hl, two night. This was for MBA.

Tonight I would be the correspondent covering celtics supersonics, because the sonics were winning sixty games that year. They were awesome, so all of them. So I went into their locker room after the game.

They just mop the floor with the celtics. And they came in like total prose, no gags, no nothing I was like, you could hear fucked in pinda p like they had just gotten blown out. And i'm walking around the room and one after another, incomes, gary pid and incomes, debt left ramp, incomes, George carl.

And they aren't like, look at me, like staring a hope for me. And I thought to myself, oh no. Did I make fun of any of these guys sports? And I started going on in my head. I like, just back nothing. No, I couldn't call myself out.

Like I call you out to start so yeah like I kept gone to my head like, oh no yeah and um I then made a pact as I SAT there and stood and cooked like I felt like I was, you know, a cooking in my own, you know, still in that locker room, my mug. I sore to myself that I would never say anything on the air that I would never say to somebody's face ever again, ever again. Like if i'm having a take, if i'm having an opinion, if it's something I got our own yeah and I cannot make fun of somebody just for the sake of making fun that moment. Like I will never forget that I just lip a light bulb over my head know at age twenty seven .

being right yes.

I mean, how can I locker? How can I not you know, what am I going? Just do whatever I want to do and then stay away from the guys that i'm talking about. That's that's another part of my upbringing in a way.

you know thank you. Yeah, I think that's something a lot of journalists don't do and that's integrity to the forests.

You know, I mean, like I if if i'm making a living talking about the sports played by these men and women, how can I not, you know, all right, that's the what I felt. And IT was, he was invaluable. These are all in valuable lessons for me.

You were betting to do events. yeah. Now you do every event pretty much, right?

I try. yeah. Like, what what is your favorite event? The drift. I gotto say it's my favorite too. There's some about watching somebody's dream I be realized, right?

The combines kind of like that too. And there's a lot of kids that sty deals who is so great and she's going to be on the field for us. Um throughout the combine, SHE was saying some of the kids that he was interviewing, we're getten like choked up that their dreams are just about to begin here .

at the coming that mean that's their first this is their first time doing with an nfl A V eating coaches, correct? Like, man, i'm actually i'm getting goose something and just thinking about this, but i'm actually gna .

be in the end film because I remember be in there. Yes, because about ninety six percent or ninety five. I know that sounds really specific to show off, but I just saw the numbers like ninety five, ninety six percent of the combine invites are draft.

Yes, it's just like they're in a different order here. There an alphabetical order here IT. With some point they will be in numerical order. Yes.

in the nfl trap. Yeah, this is your first taste of everything you worked for, everything you with the college through everything you've been do with your family, how you we're about to be in the biggest. Where in the show now burn in?

Davis was crying when he was here. Remember when he jumped out of the germany, the old R. C. A. doe? dk. Metcalf.

yes, we don't like to .

think about that too much and fill IT out. Sure, sure, but decay, meet caf face timing his mom, after he crushed IT here because he had a neck injury and a lot of people thought he shouldn't have left school when he did. And he came here and he killed, and he face time of his mother and his crime.

I mean, that's what it's all about. And the draft is, I just love the draft. IT is a marathon.

IT is the most mentally taxing thing I have to do because, you know, that clock keeps moving. You is, there are many different from voices. Trades can come up.

And I I hope the draft lives forever. You, unfortunately, social media, twitter, your phones are faster. Then the commissioner to the podium, yes.

So I have, i'm off my phone on the first night of the draft. I want, I want to yeah, I got to react to, yeah, I got to react to. Yes, because people think I know that.

Like i'm tipping a pic. Like I know the pic because I couldn't know the pic, by the way. Yes, because when a pic is made in the nf field draft um two phone calls are made one to the next team on the clock to let them know they're on the clock ck and who's .

just been .

taken tells you yeah and so and and then they call from the draft room and when they get the call at the at the actual draft, they then let the broadcasts know so the graphics can be set on so the pictures rock nose and the next two nose no and then of course the player knows and of course there's somebody who might be in the room who knows. And invariably an agent finds out.

And variably s and twitter, I think, is a kind of moved past the draft being the first to tell you to twitter was the first to tell you, I think that happened about five years ago. It's that line began to move about five years ago. So I don't want to be accused of acting.

I want to be yes, of course, like that's what you want people to watch. So and plus again, I don't give a shit about being right. I do care about being wrong, so I don't need.

I'm not doing the draft just so I could be boy, man, I told you to see if we going to take that middle back. Her, I told you, I know because I know their needs and I know football. So look at me like, that's not why I do the draft.

I just love being in the mix of doing something alive not just because we've stand up because everything else that I do um is either previewing IT or reacting to IT. So the fact that I get to do something as IT happens and tell you about IT and be sitting alongside you while you learn at the same time, I love that shit. I love IT and and stuff moves.

And I hope you, I hope they continued. I think they will. You know, again, the draft could be done like a fantasy football draft in an hour if you just point and click and said it's a IT is a show, is a show.

IT is a show. IT is a total show. And people I think digit, I think IT is again old school to watch a draft because again, you could just be on your phone go, oh.

my team just shows this and what I ve one I never looked, i've always just watched IT, good.

yeah. Hopefully us not not S, P, M. You want you watch any network I watch now, just stop. Whatever, don't want to.

I said, click in nfl draft. Yes.

watching I do that in difficult. How difficult was that? I'm a fragile man, fragile man, by the way, with great. Meet your parents. Yeah.

I really appreciate you. IT was an unbelievable week for them, for a family. My mom, I mean choosing video yesterday like recap ing IT. My dad, I mean.

thanks for come on. So i'm going about my business and you know putting together the the guest list is something it's it's it's difficult, you know because you have to pick and choose. And then i'm lucky that I do get to sometimes pick and choose.

Sometimes I do want somebody, but the timing doesn't work or they are not coming like and this not a shot of you. That's not another shot of you. But so but I know, but IT IT is a process.

And so I found out, know, ed and dona el seer gonna, available, available. And am I really okay? And I found out that your mom was sponsored. You, O, K, I think he was a pizza, was a pista. Like.

like the code. A lot is put in your promo.

Yes, what is pizza? The promo code of mama kell? Sy, like, I wow, she's not got a promo code. Your mom got a promo code. Man, so you and I IT was just, I love, you know, meeting your folks because I know, you know, what goes into being there and being there and being present and know to have one kid in in the nfl, not have two and have two kids in the nf.

And you know, i'm not just saying to just because i'm on your podcast here, I mean you you're going to hall of fame so is your brother I can say these things you don't have to, but you're going to hall fame. You have two kids in the going to a half fame in the homework ate of ohio um to be forever and shined and then to play against each other in a super bowl that is so cool yeah and I I just wanted to see their dynamic and just I think your dad was kind of like your mom was totally into IT. Your dad, I think was kind of like still with his head on a swivel like his head was seemingly swimming to me.

Yeah, over. I couldn't compute IT. So I just wanted to know, have them on and just hit up with, I love, meet them.

Look at you. Put me on this spot. I mean, how do I not say your mom?

We say, mom, dads, dads. It's supposed to be mod, right? If you're dad, I think my dad is mad.

If I didn't say, do, of course dad would have made he rest in peace and this everything to my dad. You know, when I first started on sports center, about two, three years in a car, come, I think was tops, like came around and made cards for sports center rankers. And like, sure, i'll do IT, you know and they made like a playing card for me um and so long stories short as they get there there there.

I just signed one yesterday walking into the combine. There's too many of them that's the point of the story is that they made like thousands of them yeah what am I going to do with this? So what I did is I gave IT to my parents like here you've got IT so my father would um have these in reserve. There's again many of them.

And when people came to the house to like you planner or a cable or whatever, and they would stroll past the family photos and they would recognize the sports center guy or the nfl network guy, and they'd say, oh, are you then they put to into together the eyes and family, and then me, they're like, is at your son. And if they talked, well of me, yes, they got a card you and I saw when these couple, my dad, my dad would give out these cards, you know, and so when my father would say, you, so the sink wasn't working, so, but it's working now, you just tell me what's going on there. I so did the plummet.

Cami, was he card worthy? Dad, and he's like, well, he didn't say anything, so I didn't give me, but I think said something. They got a car. So I mean, I could not imagine the super bow being someone's card. You know, I mean, like that to me is what it's all about.

Man, you know, I was emotional all week a little bit and tried to not think about IT. You can try to .

focus on the year, of course.

And after the game, sean travis, I want won that emotional look at sed off.

Of course.

I get IT the moment I saw my mom um yeah I mean, it's for them in knowing everything they say. Nice to give us the opportunity ity to play whenever sport we wanted. yes.

And like all the equipment, and more than at the time, coach, and I mean, he was involved in everything I did. So was my mom. And for them to both, I don't know, be celebrated as I think, representatives of, like all the parents to do this for their kids. And I was really ism, I mean, I was some believe so that was when I really had me was like, i'm just so proud and happy for them the way they great .

yeah he is great plus to so no, come on. And again, having them on just wanted to meet them and I just knew there would be a time that I would would be with you, meet you and see you. Then I could say that literally every member of your families been on and you haven't like that.

I I don't you see how old that's not like and you don't strike me as an L A type person who says things and then you don't follow up on your word is your borne? yes. So you saying to me that you're coming on the rich ison show that's .

going to happen and IT is guaranteed have OK if you will have me.

I yes, yes. I would be more than happy to you as evidence by the number of times i've .

out picking up.

picking up with an empty hand. So is there .

anything you wanted? Ask me. I feel like up and ask all the questions.

And you're professional. You know that an i'm just thrill to see you guys this pot is taken off. Yeah clearly has. And so great timing.

I mean, little a suit ball and you know it's been a lot of fun. I don't know what how where it's going to go, anything, but I don't know. I love talking to people. Well, obviously learning.

Then the two of you do and the two of you together, it's fun. A good DNA. A IT is a good dynamic. I mean, that's part of the reason why the manning casts is so great.

You're watching two brothers bus, each other stones, you know, watching a game and you know you guys as well, people like watching your dynamic together and being able to talk, you know what? The height of football relevancy too. It's pretty cool.

Yeah, he really is. What is your advice of something going to go to? Are you I wanted to do IT, tim, because I never done IT.

I've never even written down jokes. I don't right now. I don't even know who heard.

The process begins. watch. I've love. Stand up. tire. I mean, back to company central .

pressure. The rose.

the best, the, oh my gosh, I love IT. yeah.

And I can hook you up with whatever. Who do you want? What is I? Was that crean? I courage, courage. You that I don't, I dalt that just have the courage, you know? And right right now, but now, now, but back in the day, and never really, I didn't write down like the setlist.

I would have been in my head a gag, a joke, W A line IT would be all faced on my, yeah, like my broke. I made fun of my college courses at the time. My business, I mean, you know, now obviously would be about fatherhood and would be about other things about in my own life.

Just make IT about yourself and your your observations and and go for OK. I would yeah I would love to see that for sure. Well, yes.

we're not going to record that first one. Well, you should.

you, you should. And then, and then, you know, maybe you crash saturday night. You know, crash IT.

Take IT over. Create your own moment. Create your own moment.

Well, go viral, I think .

pretty script. Now I have been to a couple of S, S in my you there yeah is sleep in saturday learning sleep in cause this can be a late night. The afterparty is the greatest thing ever.

okay? And you're in IT goes like you will see the sunrise sunday and IT is going to be late. You are going to have a last that is gonna .

something that this is greatness. Ws IT is what yeah that is like if I start big time.

like sleep in saturday, hydrate all day because you're going be prepared, you're going deep into the sunday .

on your game during the show, correct? But more importantly.

after another game, yes, it's not one of those things like just the address is over, you know, it's one in the morning and then that's when .

things began. Do IT yes.

for sure, you got to let them know. I'm very happy for you. And you know anything about me? I feel like right now, I feel like you don't want to quit me like we can talk forever.

I could talk to you forever. OK. There was some. I'm not even making, i'm not making this up. Okay, the moment we walked through each other in the hallway, guess I have and the elegance at which you walk. And I don't know this because the ora about you.

I have an ora. You're correct. Yes, confirm form.

I ve never seen somebody walked by me with such thinking. And A, I guess, so I know, and that's what I felt. This is is just no as nobody.

ever, nobody .

has told me I was elected and shake, was I taller than? Think no.

Okay, I accept that. I'll accept that. Okay, alright, but at least i'm more elegant than you thought.

Okay.

I.

I had to say that I won. Know why I felt IT in the moment I just had to do.

We're always going have this. We're always gonna have IT.

How was going to missing? Yeah, yeah. How you don't .

dock, say. Now you're talk in my .

language you .

ever see, did you see um last year I did I do the jacket dinner at the hall of fame every year or so. I hope one day hope to I know I know you don't like this stuff. So I do that jacket dinner over here. And the last several years, I get hackled at the mike. O H I O, oh, I really .

original guys.

Oh my g like, yeah, you can spell. I get IT and I really don't have much of a leg to stand. I couldn't that much of a leg to stand on yeah because you know um what's the words for um oh how to stated been kicking michigan's s down the block.

So looking forward, so last year was the first year I had done IT off of a missions an wind o in, I think, seven, eight years, and I came prepared. Now, again, this is the whole stand up, you alive performing aspect. Me and I love IT five thousand people in this arena.

And I step up to the podium. You didn't see this at all. No, okay, man.

IT went viral to the point where he became, there was no news on August, whatever the hell I was. IT was an alert on my, on the E. S.

P. N. My APP IT alert. IT, you know, rich ison, hey you, this in all god, I gave IT to the ohio ate fans with both barrels. Great .

pleasure.

H IT was amazing. IT was great. And IT is some of my like. I tried to put IT on my miami real.

I try to actually put IT on the real I I put into, you know, hopefully get nominated, win an emmy award. I tried to do IT, but N F, M. Network didn't broadcast IT.

IT was only broadcast locally, so couldn't qualify. Like, that's how good IT was. Truly, some of, if I may say, so, elegant work by me. IT was great. I loved IT.

And then of course, the feedback I would receive from the house state brands, was that just a one off you'll see in november? Then we did IT again. We did IT again in the horse e, we did IT again, and we put up another forty bargain on him again.

So this year, when I go back to cantin this year and your great state of ohio, I am going in chest first, and I may need security. okay. Can I get you? I will first.

And your brother, can I get the Kelsey brother on potentially rode grade for me when I absolutely blow torch the place like a quinton trentino? I'm going to go. It's going to be great. I don't know what I want to say, but all I know is it's it's going to be hd. I can't .

wait to good lord. They didn't anybody a walk. So I walked on a since, and I, I almost when there was between since and a house state, this bird.

And I thought since. And I, I loved IT. When I went on to the school, I was, I felt like I could get a scholarship. How was daunting? I mean, is a lot of five star crudes something like that and says a division one program you felt I could get.

So like, you borrowed, you went somewhere else and you succeed yeah, just like, but he had to do from our own state.

Yeah, I tried to recruit a syncing tic and did not work, you will tell issue and was the best decision ever made when he was the transfer and you call them on, I did text, I think I did. If somebody gave me, gave me a number yeah and they said, hey, no fickle was with him and just recruit you, like, would you mind? Like, I think this this kid would be like, really good, you think.

And I shot him a text and he was right after our super ball run. He's like, man, you ask, killed at this year, you had a great speech, loved in as like a best of luck to you. I hope he keeps since an addition mind, when you're you're trying to decide where to go, I don't want to push anything good and just going to wish you have I not seen that. I seen that great job not taking my sales space for since I can't work.

you work well. Justin jefferson being in our chase and all, oh, my god. And I even couldn't get away from that.

All that matters. And lucky. Y, yes. So you know, already like that kid who was in the quarter back room and was leaving. Was that good like you'd d heard about, I don't know.

but that was somebody told you like that this is really special and I can t and right, we seen this, a number that me job o jelen hurts. Transform obama I mean.

I ve do I love the story of you're god.

I love him first of all, I love whenever somebody has the perseverance to stick to IT and and achieves, but more so than that and i've told this is jelen. He's done IT in a way he never gives creations to the daughters. He don't even acknowledge IT just and and and he goes out and he just prove everybody wrong and yeah you know he's tough. He's a great player um he played about the best super boy I think you could i've ever seen a quarter back play even as good as the other one played on the other shot line of patch of the homes.

I mean, I took A A .

shoot out .

for the age here. I took a shot of the score board at the super bowl. Yeah, on a minute.

Don't worry. This is good OK. I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know.

I try with my life because this is, I took a shot of IT because I couldn't believe what i'd seen right there. So because he had such an incredible first half, I mean, his first half was incredible. Here, IT is first quarter back in nfl history. To rush for two touchdowns and throw another in a super poll was just in the first two minutes .

to go in the first step.

And I wait that out and like, so this is how jailed hurts is going respond .

to plain the first how going to be right?

Well, are you going to do in on the smart light and you set a record .

before have time yeah .

this game and I just i'd love the fact that he didn't transfer, stuck around and then did get in against georgia in the same freaking building in the S. C. Championship and beat them, beat him and then .

went to throwing everybody in right? You're seeing him get Better.

And yes and then goes to oklahoma and makes the husband podium losing to borrow yeah come on and then gets drafted in filling in. Its like why we did a course .

at the time. Now I know so much.

but I understand like why some people would say why. But I mean he wasn't boot like mcnab was born into philadelphia because he wasn't Ricky Williams. Yeah no, I was blown away when that was going on.

You know, at the time I was on sports center when that happened. But long story short, love hurts. Love his story and love everything about him.

I met him once. He's ve been on the show many times, so know and I love, I love him telling his story. We had him on before the draft when he was drafted, and he called him and i'm like, who's who are you?

What's the team going to get what janny hurts? It's like his answers is that you get a dog and you going to get a guy and he's going to lead and I thought to myself, i'm not kidding. I thought to myself, you know what teams are going to lead?

You know like is he's not a first rounder. He's not like what seems you can see and and I like what a dumas thought in retrospect I mean, talk about leading, good lord, by example, by word, by by manner, by game. I want preaching require .

but I know yeah, but I mean, right? And he's been that way since the day one. He's gotten Better. And his as you play more and have success, you get more credence from your peers.

You're given that leadership role a lot more than having to earn IT yeah um but he's earned IT every simper away and how we handle what he was drafted in do right what how we handle new coaches coming in yeah and you know he just does everything you don't want to you know he just has everything the right way. He does. He says everything in the right way.

He cares himself the right way. He's got the perfect blend that I think leaders need to have or they are confident ah they believe in their their teammates and they're outward humble but in their head they're the most vicious person on the field. What time is what? Yeah absolutely I don't know what to go.

So we don't make IT end. I'll tell this story. okay. And then I think .

it's it's a good button. And if you don't mind me butter, please. I really do him a professional button upper in many ways.

I button stuff up for a living current. I will handle this. Thank you. So i'm a big game shown not to oh my god, ge me show not Prices, right? It's the best, the best.

It's that IT is the best so then you're love the story that I can't particular i'm a die harder Prices right years ago, the nfl network reached out, said C, B, S, is promoting the fact that they have the l like, what are you talking about? What the suitable is promoting? IT was weird, but they're like they want you in another guy.

The network n out to be eric Davis, who was working in a file network at the time. Want you guys to go in, give away a showcase on the Prices, right, to help promote the nfl, and come on. So I said, jump, but no OK.

I said, I will do IT under one condition, you know, making think like I need to, I need to have demands, man. I said for me to do IT, I need to say the words brand new car. Got to say, okay, showcase is gotta include a car, okay? So I say the words brand new. The only way to .

say this brand 加 you don't .

like it's got if i'm going to do this, I want to go football. Yeah, I only know one speed. yeah. So I did that. This car, I don't remember, I don't be shit, didn't win IT.

So they overbid so and my guy from my show, tj jefferson, went on the Prices right OK and and his his episode air while we were on the rich ison show. And the part of that, my guy, Chris Brown, man who does the show with me, says when he comes on, we got to stop the show. Like, but we're on the radio.

Like, what are we going to do? And this is again another. Philosophy that I i've learned through the years is, you know a good idea shouldn't be just discard because you don't agree with IT OK.

So he's like to to do IT like when he's on, we ve got to stop what we're talking about and talk about his show and I like, but we can't show IT. It's radio. He was right.

We stopped. I got out of my host chair and I went right behind Chris so I could see IT on the TV. And I did the play by play of him playing the game master key.

He didn't take the middle key. He blew IT mad. It's a very rare. It's a very icing game anyway. But that's i've told you my my Prices right you know um experiences here and I think i've proved in my worth in loving this program more than anything else. yes.

So my wife and I are big dog rescue people OK SHE got invited to a dog rescue fundraiser or one year and the guy who was being honored with bob barker and okay, now this is that's not even saying yeah properly right. I mean, so he's an icon on in many different ways, many different ways, especially one, you know, somebody who just shows up all grey hair out of the blue one day that was wild. But so he he was the honor that night.

And I went up to him. IT was probably like the middle. So I was on nfl network for a few years, and i'll go always go to people who I love their work or I appreciate their work.

As long as they're not eating or ping, I will, I will disturb them. Okay, okay, and just tell them to their face. I appreciate you.

Thank you. So I did that, but I I mean, I just lost IT. I just said to mind and plus i'll also roll the dice. Maybe they know me, maybe they don't. If they don't know, i'm not heartbroken, but if they know, then then obviously it's easier to to make the contract.

Yeah I got up to me as no idea and and and I just don't look, i'm the host of fl network on a show called nfl total access. And I speak to players all the time from all walks. I've speak to players and football players and coaches and general managers and and hot from all walks of life, holmes ers and rockies.

I speak to them from all different places in america. And I think to myself, whenever I I interview these people, I think of you in the way you bring people in to, you know, contestants role. IT doesn't matter who they are from IT doesn't matter their race, color or create.

You welcome them all. And I see how you do IT. And I I try to do that every day. So thank you. He pauses and he looks at me, go.

So 用 完了 后 给他。 And I say, as a matter fact, yes, I and I hugged him. I embraced ed, him.

I might have linger. Yeah, I don't care. Doesn't matter. So that's my way of button up.

Do you want to hugger IT out? Let's talking now. We're hugger for those listening, hugging.

tell .

you. So how do we arrange this? Like I do we exchange numbers and then I yeah .

you want to do right now.

I mean, we don't have to debt like literally right now, you can change numbers so I can reach out to you personally and say i'd like you on he remember and then and you're like new phone, who is so everybody talking about sorry, no, I don't know what this number is so you can do that. And i'm not saying that you have to do IT the first time I ask you like I understand you got stuff going on. You know this .

point I will follow you into the gates of hell, i'm pretty sure. So.

right, very good.

Thanks for me. And back, right? See you already. Well, I was rich. And in the what you think I love that dude, man, yeah.

is the best. He is just the absolute best. And he definite took IT over IT was his show for an entire me to train .

the entire time. He was so elegant from the moment he walked to the door. I was like, who what is that right now? And he did not disappoint. What was your favorite?

I would say honestly, IT was probably him saying that snl was a flex. I thought that was cool. There was obviously why I wasn't there here. But i'm pissed that I missed the opportunity to average come on my show because I put on his shell so many times men. And i'll go on his shoe any time you ask me to, because I actually love, love, chat and up with him like you guys did.

But what was really cool with him? Talk about the the forty at the combine and how much money they've raised and just you know the fact that the he does a for charity year in, year out and really that the time started to get Better, but I don't know it's going to get right now. So the rich and I prove me wrong, rich, he did talk about how, Jason, you have to start you and stand up now, which is which is kind of pretty spot on to to what you like because we watch stand up all the time growing up definitely in college. I feel like there was a comment central, did a friday night stand up like just run off like stand ups all night?

And yeah, we love the committee presents all that stuff. And we would we would always sit IT. Yeah, I think, you know, the interviews awesome, was great to hear all the combined stuff, the history behind IT forty um I think the thing that really uh was new to me, one of the newest things that I heard about the thing was that rich started as a stand up comedian michigan and I think um i've always been interested in trying IT uh maybe that'll be one of our um get .

out the house segment me and you I do we know no more than ten minutes though, no more ten minutes. I want to turn to a jack on today. I just want to be funny and I don't know how i'm going to react to people, my jokes.

So going to keep the right there ten minutes and let's have some fun with IT. I'm down. Let see. We see. We can come up with i'd love going out to L A. And going to the comedy store in the left factory, all the fun stand up spots out there where you would literally see anybody walk through the door.

You actually know stand up comedians. So I don't want you having one. Hundred .

percent?

No, no, no, no, no, no.

no pinal inal don't my doll right there? Now i'll just ask for a few of his that he hasn't said, yeah, let me do this so we probably .

fuck off centeno right in your jokes. I'm getting Bobby .

leader my jokes night. I know I just got probably out there when he killed IT. I think he's one of my favorite two md TV men classics.

Joe burrow.

you admitted that he tried to recruiting burgh to the university since, and I I did .

since I added respond to me, they said where we there's a kid of how states transfer I get ready to just told the story I don't really stand.

But yeah no.

that's it's a real store. They read sound to me, try to get me to recruit m best decision you ever made, what that is .

you and the five one three he .

could not escape since hio .

stood yeah now that was a finance interview. Obviously we had all love in the world for rich and um we've had a lot of love for over the years men and more power to move on.
