incredible show trade. As we all know, free agency is up and running while not technically IT, will be by tomorrow when deal start to become a visual right now, we're still in the tamp oring period. And yeah, it's pretty crazy.
Deals are happen and left and right. We're trying to do this. Lead in to the nick syriana epo de. We got launching right now.
Next syriana head to .
the field .
of engles .
had coaching the field of engles we talk to, we left the house you set down in indian naabs at the combine, and we talked to nix ionian that's come to you in this episode. But first we're going to get to all the news that's happening around the league. Lots of guys, lots of big name sign and friends of hours go in. New friends come in. And I mean, I guess we've got to talk about me decided to play another year.
You if you're playing.
yeah when did you so anyways.
we're going to touch on all that.
So I hope you guys are in store for an outstanding the episode or looking forward to giving IT to you. And as always, thanks for supporting. But first, as always, new.
It's good to be back to be back in the ninety two percent of a night disappointed. It's fun to be back out here doing this podcast. It's fun to keep talking my brother and try. You want to hit up with the the new merch.
new merch, baby. We got some new merge. We talk to you guys last week about the how much launching a stamp of the week and no dumb questions.
I have those shirts in the hand as we speak. That's a nice blue. This is like almost like a see.
blue and Green. I like that. I like that.
That's the star .
rate there. If i've ever seen IT.
then we got a little no dumb .
questions, just 两倍。 不 just .
Young people。 You are .
already know me that .
I know right? I feel, I feel real time right now. Take my money.
yeah. Please visit hamage. That calm flash new high to check those out. And all the other fun shirts has brought a life man on. I know about my favorite to that big gated man.
I you want to see the city .
IT has come to our attention that we have some non sanctioned merch out there that we are. We are not mad at. We're not mad at you guys. Pretty clever on our red page, on the new highway page, always with the opinion came to us with A T shirt that says, Jason in the streets and travis in the sheet all right now, right now.
I think it's clear what the shirt means. Travis in the sheet, I think that that's clear.
Do you think .
that's what i'm curious about is what is Jason in the what do they .
want .
me in the street? It's not good to be in the street. You can hit my car. We like.
this .
is a busy .
street, black parties, bangers, having had a black party forever. Man.
i'll be a banger. I don't really like to leave my house. I don't know for going to catch me in the streets.
and you might be the other way around you. You got three baby girls. You have got kids. You eds, I do be in sheet.
I think this is like more of like a desirable thing. I think that what the shirt is going at.
like they want to see you in the in the streets more.
I really just think that they needed to put me in the shirt and they figured out a rim and they're just is a shirt about having travis in the shirts. What the shirts now, not even then stop a new logo on IT the position.
tired man, just it's all fitting. But i'm out here in the streets, out.
I'm outside the streets. You're in the streets.
I am outside. I'll say you would IT Better be like a cold if i'm going to be in the shit. It's IT Better be like the the room time is got ta be like fifty five one, be in some sheet because I am going to get a way too hot and then that's a stock. And to be a situation that anybody wants to be a part of.
yeah, nobody wants to be too hot. Just sweet, sweet.
Yet ty comes out. You set the tap on fifty. Where are you? You set the .
table with my yeah.
we said that what you said, no kids. So you, kay.
I guess I know my unfortunately, cali does not SHE thinks that kids need to be like warm or something like that. I don't think that's true. But like to me, be a brazed sixty five all day.
That's the a breezy sixty five.
Nice windows open sixty five proudly. Terrible energy efficiently. Yeah, Jason in the really should be travis in the streets, travels in the sheet, action in the seats because i'm .
sit in and watch A D V.
D. T.
What's well, thank you to everybody. All the sixty two percent ers on our red page in the and some of the non sanction emerged that we appreciate. So keep coming up with the clever stuff, and i'm sure our team will tell you you can do that. So yeah, and we're a big as .
to is we're not not a big season to seis crew. You know we occur ge creativity. We encourage our artists. And speaking of creativity, we ve got a fair mention of the week right now.
A friend comment of the week, awesome comment on the youtube video of early this week from the Daniel jami episode. This one is coming out from captain. He said, Jason, can you please sore nfl players in the hog ward's houses? And I love this, and I think we're going to do right now travel. You aware? Can you name the different hogg word sauces?
Yeah, one is dot .
dot IT. Pick your .
eyes up. One is.
do not read IT.
These hog words are not a house. I thought hog .
words was a house. Hog words is the school now? okay? No, that's good.
I mean, that's a good starting point. So then which house is Harry potter? And every part .
is in the magic house. He's got the he got the one and .
he does the magic is good.
How far off in my you're not .
even in the ballpark, but you you're in the school. What you're in the school.
So what school does he go to? He goes the hot words.
whatever. Yeah, you know how? At clever heights they had that small schools initiated schools, and there were small schools within the big school. That's kind of my hogwarts is there are four different houses that are within hogwarts. You have griff in door, you have a puff, you have ravin class and you have slippit.
okay? And I don't know how the actual like determination of which house you get into goes, but to me, IT gets down to griffard is like good people with ambition, like good people that are trying to to fight for goodness. Then you have slither in, which is bad people with ambition, which is like, you know, it's it's bad people that are excited about being in bad.
And then you got raven claw, which is really that's really smart people. That's the ap class ap house. And then you got a half of buff, which I think that just all the left over kis go to half a buff. So all the misfits, all the misses I think just people know ambition .
to help of that's our idea yeah and .
there are good people but there they're ha pus.
This is this segment just got so much fucking fun art. So do you want to go down a lisa players?
Just start their names at me.
Let's see out how. Uh, Jason Kelsey, where's Jason Kelsey? I mean.
i'm to put myself in rift in door.
Come on, baby. U K, just put yourself in the the best house is where that's where Harry was.
Harry ran hermon, do I get in .
griffe or I put .
in griffard r graphene, for sure.
I feel like if if you're not in griffin door.
you ravin all, I mean, ravin claw and hell above a very respectable houses.
But griffin is like, yeah, jailed hurts griffin dor, we can put everyone in griffin door, Jason. I mean.
you're going to jail in heart at me.
I put them in griffin door. Chris lang.
Chris lang, graph in door.
what? Everyone is a grip for doing all of five players who who doesn't Jason know? Kr cousins.
curr cousins.
raving ravin claw. Aren't, aren't. What about a paddy my homes?
Paddy, my homes. May and I want to throw them and sliver ing because he just walked to answer the super bowl. But I got ta say I do think paddy, my homes as a riffed .
or guy he doesn't get .
excited about yeah I think he's a good .
guy with ambitions so i'm going grid .
door air Rogers oh my gosh, don't know this out right now. That's too noisy. There's too much going on with there and ever said .
ever he's got ever says he's got like the long hair though like the john wick look this kind of gave him a little cloud like he's kind like the I mean, like he's .
excited about I don't want to enemy for .
that's not a part of the segment. You have to say .
the house slider and isn't slim, he said that demand I don't .
even know what slither in is alright since we're since we're the slider in train. What about jolie burgh.
Julie burrow? Yeah do you know .
enough about .
yeah I mean, i'm so ohio guy kind of hair just like you know very charmaine way to him I mean, if you're asking courter bag corner bags should go in grifo ser all day and i'm going to put burrow in griffin door for you is brother and slivers the cheese .
face is slightly very respected. He was very respected.
You get a whole stadium .
name after of that's crazy and branding gram .
benifit not asking me my team like bRandy .
gram is one thousand percent leathern.
What how much shady .
talks are? What about russia? Wilson.
Russell, Wilson, Russell Wilson, man, that he was griffin dow forever and then I think I think he's in sliter and now I think .
he's in sliter and liver in I thought I was thinking he was like a helpful .
path like he's I mean is, yeah you know what how do I go? Hf, above half, above. Now you're cording back.
You got to be good. Even know what i'm talking .
about about .
is there going to slither and gmg?
Jimmy g.
slither and Jimmy .
grew up. O slitters. A got like videos. A point .
star is going out.
The restaurant is the not a griff in your cordia aca griffard or sliter in.
You put kirk cousins .
in ravin clow. He's he's an outlier.
outlier.
Yeah, ask me a coach.
Bill bell, check .
little all .
day sliter sliter .
in all day. Super talented, very intelligent. But like slither.
what about a Derek, the king Henry.
their Henry?
Yes.
and that's a griffin or out there the .
griffin or right? But he's kind of got that.
And i'm is in democratie .
slipper and I just .
play with great guy.
great guy but he's great guy is slim because .
you got good people within slither in. But there's like a certain mentality that slithering comes with and it's like dislike. It's a difference of them out. It's only am enough do this that .
you have them mentality.
I know be so so I could definitely be so there's one percent if I wasn't so good, i'd be in sillier. erin. I fit a lot of the qualities.
And a team guy, well, team, get slithering. team. Do death leaders are big team.
What about would want to go like tony romo? What was tony .
romo slim? I mean, anybody on the couple if you play for the eagles, if you play for the cowboy, just sliter.
This is turned in sages, whoever you're like enemy is, yes, literally.
I mean, that's .
essentially what the book is. What .
about .
Jerry James? What about lord was ahead of time?
Riddle time riders ahead of time? Little is lord vote one in the same uah. Jerry Jones is for sure slithering his lord volta m. mart. He's truly on horse rocks is scattered all through the united states Jason game in one of them.
How do you would know what a horror says?
And I speaking like a different language to you right now. Do you even understand this through all?
This is way over my head with horror.
Well, horders cks is when somebody a separates their soul, and they put their soul into another object or person. You see what i'm saying. You see we're ever going in this that makes sense now way.
That is fucking hilarious. I'll talk my way on my head. Do that is as pretty I can. Good right there.
I think that's enough. I think we've covered a good amount of what sera was kind of asking us to do if you guys have any other people to add to certain houses or if you disagree or agree with me, you know, i'd love you and the Harry powder universe so yeah.
man, only thing I know about Harry powers that disney has has a really good roller coaster.
It's not even a didn't .
really good. It's Harry part .
is part of universal studios. It's not part of disney world.
It's the open orlando. It's not all called disney world. All right, think we start long enough, but we are moving on to ten or twelve or kinder in that realm ish bold topics where we recap this this we could get a recap and fell free agency so far.
And let's start with all the free agency new in the foobar world. And we all have been waiting purchasing Kelsey to tell everybody exactly what he's doing for next year. And I think you owe IT to your team. They go IT to your teammates to make this decision right here, right now so that they know what they have to do in free agency coming up.
What do you talking about?
What you mean?
I have to tell. What about enz?
Do you have to break the news here on new .
heights traps I now sells playing another year yesterday.
Would you talking about what .
you're playing? This is the thing .
is of the week who cares about iron Rogers when you got Jason Kelsey comment back for another year?
Wow, did you this is, i'm so .
fucking pumped I Fiona, action by everybody knows you come. 也有 tweeted out。 I have put much thought into whether that makes sense to play another season.
After talking IT over with my wife and many other friends and family, you didn't ask me what I thought, but i'll keep I have decided to return for another year. Thank you. To all my supporters and detractors, that was that the long one I didn't never even heard of for feeling me.
I fucked IT done yet with an examination point. I love that man. He fired up the entire football world.
Um esp. N was tween IT and I fell was tweet IT. Everybody was on top of a man.
Biggest news. And this is congress. Rather make a, make a kind of flash. You more can open your guy. You were more can open a guy.
A good can open back for sales part or king .
part to say, right.
I didn't retire again. That's pretty much the news. It's i'm still playing football.
I I wish I wasn't be honest with you is just something that like I really think I go back and fourth on and I think it's important to actually think about this seriously because as you know, true, there's a lot to goes into playing a season. It's not just the physical parts of mental part. It's it's everything that encumbers.
And now I tried to think about as hard as I can. Obviously, playing in the suit ball know is a little bit less time to think about IT than I Normally have. But IT was important to make a decision before free agency started, or at least let the eagles before free agency started.
Now you know that I was I was confident and coming back another year, you know, obviously there there's money to be spent, there's deals to be made. And I want to make sure that filled alpha has you know a full um I want to make sure that there um in the best position possible because I would say i'm coming back because I want to win. I would say i'm coming back because jane hurts, is there? We've a lot of good people around the building, and I feel really confident in our coaches and team.
So the fun time to be a ele man, you hear that lazy joleen self lessons. He wants to make sure that the eagles have the best opportunity. But also, I want you to make debris, you to make debris.
And the brad's good, i'm not going to like the bridges is good, but I got a lot of brit already in the, yeah, this is like unlimited bread at this point, like unlimited bridge sticks over .
the mi didn't say that that's .
a good to go broke seeking of your money like that list. I think after thinking about a lot with Kelly, the biggest thing and I think he said IT really well, you know, if you're still like thinking about this and you're going back and forth and you're wondering if you have any doubt that you're going to want that you're onna regret playing. SHE keep playing because clearly that's what I want to do.
You know, my body's bang up from the season. I just got done with a really long one. So right now it's hard to imagine and doing IT again. You know, once a full off season gets under way, once I have changed, recover and work myself back up to uh to being in the best shape possible. I think he became clear when you kind of said that she's like, you know what, if you're still doubt in yourself and going back and forth this long, you still want .
to play yeah. Ki, way to bring him back. Ky, and there's a some good life advice right there. But there's also best thing you want to do is.
yeah Howard mud gave me really good advice, which is essentially the same thing, just kind of size way different, which is when in doubt, don't. As I Howard, I don't know, I have doubt about a lot of things like which like how do I look at something? But I tried a great saying because .
IT works no matter how you look at what a guy, what a guy. Well, I know we're all pumped, and yeah, I know we're all pop to see. Come back, brother, let's jump in to some more.
That was IT. Who did you tell actually? How did did you like all, uh, someone from the eagles? Or did everybody just find out with a twitter?
So contacted my agent, jb Jason bernstein, and you know, I think him and how we had been in context and going back and forth and they had talked already that day and as like, well, I think you know I I feel confident, insane that i'm going to come back for of the year this point and then talk to hoey soon they're red after that.
Him and gb talked and you know that's how what happens once it's mutual um you wanted right and the eagles have been very up front saying they want to be back the whole time. So talk to how I talk to nick, you know kind of make the calls. Everybody's excited to come back and .
kind of go from there. Well, we know the best center in the league is going back to the philadephia ages. I like to, I love.
great. Well, then we will get another clean cut IT. Well, we know .
that the .
the best set in the NFC is going back to the eagles, and but the eagles did lose some key pieces to the defense so far, added a few guys, added a few guys as well as lots of few guys. But jovan hargrave, four years, eighty four mile, he was an absolutely for you guys last year yeah and he got paid, got paid about money .
deserves happy my mind grave digger two thousand one of the harsh guys ever heard to block um especially from a past blocking standpoint. Um this is a huge acquisition about the forty nine years him arms stood I mean they got there are stacked all over defense know he was already a tough game against him last year. Driver is not going to make IT any easier. So that's that's a tough one because obviously you know that you know the four, nine, nine years gravel of hours now got game Better again. I don't know how they did and there not slow now you going to help my big time .
so you lives lost .
the interior deline.
And then interior second level. T J. Edwards line, back of for you guys on a three year deal with the bears.
Make simula over there. He staying in the stand in the NFC. too.
Happy for T. J. T, J has been a really big part.
You had a great year last year and he's been a guy that you've seen get Better every single year if you've seen that improvement. He's a smart, clear. He's instinctive.
Um I think that he was a guy that you know when you're like playing certain guys early in a career and you can just tell that they get IT like they react to things well they they for the sure he has great fuel for the game of football yeah I think he's you know obviously would love to have him back and field alphian but tj is gonna do great over there in chicago. Big deal for him. And you know, this is a guy that I mean, you love and guys come where IT he's come from, make a name for themselves and get the big payday.
This is the best part of free agency for me is watching guys that earn their money, went out there, took the likes, you know, got Better, made a name for themselves. And they're going to have a life changing amount of money throw them. So yeah, really, really happy for .
tj awards set out to tj eagles, bring him back, branding gray. And no, for for another year you would be g, you you guys like the the two stables are right now. You guys fill proud and you man.
there's been, you know, obviously me and B, G, uh, then Johnson, and there's still one guy out there. Big future cox .
a mol .
flitch well, I I never tell anybody to do with their money um but obviously but you know all four of us from this year played together for over a decade in philadelphia, so it's rare to play with that many guys for that long. I mean, you got to be doing something right if you're going to last that long in brain has been the leader. He's the most senior guy, not only in the eagles but in all the philadephia orts. He's going on his fourteenth season with the Philip eagles.
Am I did not know that .
well this year. I mean, not on wood. If he if he starts think eight games or something like that, maybe less, maybe six, he'll have the all time record for most games played by a field of eager the past David acres.
go dog and pretty aking ool to have on the resume man, especially one team.
especially one time. And and he's just a great he's a great team mate, you know, obviously griffard guy, just a really, really good I feels .
I feel like just understanding what you're saying .
with be in a nerd are .
not a foobar.
Are you not phobic? What you no.
I love, I love me in word. That's why he is making me smile. Brain to tweet out.
IT wasn't about the money. I haven't officially signed yet, but it's pretty much done. I'm coming back.
IT wasn't about the money. I love filly. I don't want to miss a chapter ship with jain.
Jain is the man? Nothing about Jason now? nothing. Yeah, Jason.
yes, I know.
I know he cares about you right now.
I mean, the M, B G got a lot. Love each other. I, A J, J, jay, maybe i'm helpful. Buff, maybe he has try help for of.
I want, have been fucking now eagles resigned in running back poston scat to a one year deal.
Big deal for us. Boston, a bigger. I mean, it's kind like that utility and I for us and he's just whenever an opportunity, he he finds a way to make the most of IT, not the talk sky, but he's going going there.
He's going to be accountable. He's going to do everything you can. And he just makes place specially giant, the giant killer boston s back in the building.
Boston is one of those guys, men. You just get him in space with one on one with a guy. He's to make that first guy. Is and that such a, that such a key part of being a running back is being able to make that one guy miss? If you can do that, I mean, you're going to be a rican star or you're definitely to keep getting contracts in the n file.
Look, book most of them. You going to make one at this. Hey, how about this breaking news? The eagles are at work again. We have officially resigned. James Robert, burberry, do you my your favor, guy? We've resigned them three year deal, or thirty eight million with upside to get forty four, twenty million .
guaranteed a half number, but a number. The blackberry, but I thought was a great, great player we played .
yeah um i'm excited about IT um not only is a good player but just a great teammate good dude all around had a great year for us was a big reason why we have my success and defense yeah so yeah .
i'm big on smart. I'm on smart foobar. Players, man, is, you can tell he's a physical special too like he's a big corner, arms, fast food.
But yeah, i'm going on. Players, man, you got to be a smart foobar player out there and he he's his full package corner back in the leg. Men, so happy for you guys defensively keeping, uh, at least are you guys.
dm, really happy for James? He's learned every penny of that. Um he's played IT. So yeah, awesome for the eagles may go highly Better. Go hoey.
skies, skies. Make a moves.
Man s make a move. Sky, ready to come. James, get ready for killed shots.
Parents, everybody is .
to doing IT in to .
just.
来来 对。
duck.
The classes, you just can't help but say to kila and .
move your shoulder .
like this to. When you move your shoulder like this, you moving your .
shoulders, are you and I run outs you like.
But when you're doing this, what are you moving your shoulders? Are you butt? Because i'm bug all.
Big news. In kansas city, we designed left tackle john Taylor to a year eighty million dollar deal. Big money.
Come in the percent time for homes. Wait to get the big guy de in the building. Yeah, I mean, he was he was a study in in jackwell can say he wasn't.
He was an I was already good out there in kc. And this is, this is a big move.
Oh my big move, man. Big move, baby. Get him in the building. Get in the world. Get situated.
Giants are sending the third round pic to lost vegas for dairy waller.
The wall street.
the walls on the giant style. That's a big move there. What was officially in slim?
He just, he he was already with the raters. So you might have been there.
He was slider for you, a slider and .
guy is, I always say he's girl and dorman he's dog got great, efficient, good person, good soul. That that's wild vegas in new york. I wasn't expected that especially yeah no, I was trying to think they have they have a Young tied out there in balentien be interesting. Do well, they got pretty .
cool because I use a lot of twelve.
It's always, always a mismatch .
to Opera personnel. I think it's it's an interesting do you go bed? Do you go, nick, who you matched up on the special of a receiver like darn waller or like travel's Kelsey, where it's like you wants to play nickle. But if you put nick out, there might be a open hard to stop the run.
If you got a good run game, that's where the twelve personnel is the best. You can run well at a twelve personnel because everything's pace off of the run eumetsat flame when when you're worried about the run, when you're worried about the run, I can flag .
time you do IT. That's a play.
Action is flying in the raters. This is arguably the most controversial addition in the entire free agency rater sign wide receivers jab mires to a three year deal.
What patria rule see a part of?
Was he a part of that? He's the one that throw a dark right to china Jones, his chest.
He was the second letter.
The second .
letter.
This is a, this is crazy.
The riders are signing the .
guy that want on the game.
who handed them the game.
This is nuts.
Two, a three year, thirty three, seven, eleven, a year in eleven, basically, to the team he gave the game. Do you think this was a great too.
before that game? This is crazy. You think mcDaniel just went up to him. So like you, kobe, I signed to do a three year deal. If you, if you hand this one, do this, you think was just like, I make this happen that little to me.
I'll be right behind to the home. I know we just called this cube draw to go over time. I got you. I got IT .
chanler. And well, I mean.
IT is it's a crazy coincident at the very least swilled men swim.
More power to be though yeah twenty one milk guaranteed. It's a lot. It's a lot of guaranteeing money out there. Lot of veg is an nova so go ahead. Enjoy the kobe can go .
quicking lost figures in the Better .
two or you could double IT.
Yeah, that's how goes quick thinking like that.
Yeah, you can be stupid. Just don't be real stupid. You mean like that's the deciding factors for me. I asked myself, like, is this stupid majority? This should I do is stupid, but you can't be real stupid and they're real stupid.
Just, just not be stupid. What's the fun in that?
No fun in that. stupid. That's what steppy bogus is.
I was the best of ice, every government, Steve, bogus baby, because bogus are my. You could be stupid. Just don't be real stupid, real stupid. That's when you go to jail. Yeah, right now.
what's what's regular stupid? Regular stupid? It's going to jail. Or what's regular stupid?
Everyone needs to play a poop dollar. Got up from worker lix.
yeah, we playing that of what is pop.
Got .
yet? Gates, the picture.
About the U Y .
forty O. We got to .
bring the back of dollar was A I was see that stupid. You can be stupid. Just don't be real stupid.
That is stupid. It's for those of you, for those you they don't know what poop today is pretty. I got to me, I think we'd be display IT because poop dollar is when we did.
We did just like, what if we found like dog pop on the sidewalk, right? Like I I don't member actually like, yeah, I don't member actually pooping. Like, yeah.
he maybe didn't work a holic, but yeah, we didn't. We saw a turn on the sidewalk, took the regret. I think we did more than a one out was .
like a five dollar bill. So he made IT like really oh, shift at all.
you say, which the poop in the dollar bill or the five dollar bill in this case. And then you just leave IT on the sidewalk and you just watch people pick IT up. And it's a lot of fun, especially if you drink of beers at a college bar and sit out on the porch.
the anticipation, the mind .
somebody picks IT up. Of course, everyone else.
And as soon as the person who realized as they pick up the money in their spoof and they do hear a bunch of demos screaming poop out of from the balcony and the anticipation when you see somebody walking down the street and like, oh my god, my god, here comes here, comes here, comes here, comes here, comes here S I mean. No, I mean.
The value of catching like A A big blue in tune out on this big seat. I mean, it's it's city fishing. I mean it's kind of it's city fish. We have big old the inc. Gates, big six, nine, two hundred and seventy pound center for the since the bear cat.
as my guy band is the best played high school A A you ball with him with an absolute dog in the bike.
Another room being, get got on pop. How are you? You just see a on the. sure. And a fish on, uh.
nice. So and getting back to free agency day one. The biggest spender so far in free agency are the denver broncos may, and they are spending a lot of money these past two years.
The all season .
think they were close. He was either they were or oakland. Oakland was either they were.
Vegas IT might have. IT might have been. The charges to charges made some accusations.
Um brows are already at two hundred, over two hundred million. The bears are roughly around one hundred and twenty million. The falcons are up there over one hundred mill. And the nine years raters and chief s are all right around eighty, eighty five million dollars already. On the first day.
the night was got a good team. When they got all this money from.
did they got Young court back? Men, Young courter back. You don't even paid the cortex here. You're going to have some cap space.
That's true. cheese. What you buy? You guys, you guys spend eighty more now. You don't get a Young to beg.
The highest in quotations. CS, yeah. unfortunate. We would let a few guys slip out and shout out to my dog friend.
Clark. So this is total money.
This is the biggest spender so far.
That's like the whole .
contract yeah all the contract yeah.
but they didn't spend eighty million. You guys are spend. It's a it's a twenty per year deal.
Yes, is what we get what we are.
They're just adding up. Doesn't matter the number of years this the season is in full swing. And that's why we need to tell you about our special hook up for today's sponsor, seki.
and we have a special discount for the two percent, as you can get ten percent off any ticket on seki with the code guessin new heights. And that works .
for sports concerts, comedy shows, going to see travis and chief s play, you name IT, save yourself some money, open the c ky. Gap and add code new heights to your account to get ten percent off your next order. Doesn't matter if you've used seeking before that right IT does not .
matter once again, that's code new heights for ten percent .
off the farmers dog. We love our dogs. That's right. They complete us, and we all want piece of mind that we're doing the best we can to help ensure that they're healthy and happy.
The farm er's dog makes them, delivers fresh, healthy dog food. Right to your door is developed to buy vest, nutritionally baLance and made from real meat, vegetable. How about that to a safety standards of human food?
Ds, traditional dry and what dog food options are highly processed, can use much lower quality ingredients that they claim to, and are extremely difficult to portion accurately?
That's right. The farmers s dog isn't just fresh food, it's higher quality food. And they also send the food proportion specifically for your dog. That's right. This makes IT easy to help maintain their .
idea that a healthy way can live in honor than .
over IT doesn't matter if your dog, Young, old, is always the right time to begin investing in .
their health. Get fifty percent off your first box of fresh, healthy food at the farmer's cx new .
eight plus you get free shipping part since thousand eighteen to bring quality sleep to a lead athletes.
It's for good reason. As super able champions, we know how important IT is for recovery to sleep in a great bed plus sleep number. Beds have great features, including the ability to .
adjust farmers sleep number. Smart beds show you your sleep quality every morning in the sleep number .
APP how does you coming up? Who doesn't love fresh new bedding or pillows or if you are in the market for a bed, if you haven't checked out a sleep number store? Now is a great time.
So let's talk some let's talk some air and Rogers because it's it's so interesting and so fun to talk about. We're recording this on a tuesday, and free agency does start on wednesday. So we could be talking to you about something that already happened that we don't know about or that what we do know is that iron Rogers has provided the new york jets with a list of free asia that he would like them to target and acquire.
also known as a listed demand. He's provided the new york jets with a listed demands. We're full below on hostile situation at this .
as this situation. I am the captain now. I need a brief case with three hundred million dollars .
with oil beacon. In the brief case, I mean, I get IT, but that the jets are stacked on defense. Their head coaches is different to coach.
Hello, coming over there, there could be a match. My heaven. He just wants to make sure they just got a target .
that he feels comfortable. Yeah, they are. They got a bunch y Young guys that they can place in ball now.
Well, apparently they can't play ball good enough because even saying he wants one of these guys, iron Rogers has provided the new york jets with a wishlist of free agency who would like them to target IT in acquire resources includes rato, cob, Allen, is are, Mercedes Lewis and auto bec of junior. This is the jets have met the the whistles they've met. IT have officially signed free age of my receiver, Allen lazard, to a four year, forty four million dollar deal with twenty two million guaranteed.
So bank yeah .
I mean, I don't know they folded or if they just like answered the bell, but the jeter all in on the Rogers deal.
we got a house situated y're trying to keep they're ying to keep all the hostages alive. 还要 是 you give us one.
we give you one, you give us one and also come to play a courter back. That's kind of we were .
at interested to see how that plays out. So is so they got, yes, rental carbon and Mercedes es Lewis both have been in Green bay with iron and Allen art as well. And then the one that was just interesting, what was odbc of juniors?
Like, I want, I like, he doesn't want to do at eight lesson. He looks like a beast. He looks a beast, but strong, and I think he aren't purposely caught every single bowl with one hand. Just just to add some flare to IT, this is the only the .
whole thing without a shirt on to make sure he showed off his school. He's swell right now. He's been working.
the osman working and he's got those sake on quads out too band big right now yeah the the air .
rider situation is still up in the air as of this moment. So we're going to run through every air rider situation that might happen just so we have touched IT by tomorrow because who knows what is going to happen within the next hour? Here's the first bit news.
Rogers goes to the my g. This is changed. He really left Green bay. Joe dogless pulls out the move of the century and lors airless, crazy ts. They say, in Allen lazard to a big contract after iron, clearly he says, sign ales ard and all of a sudden he's in.
He's in. That's pretty wild men. Honestly, never thought i'd ever see air and leave, leave Green bag. I thought he was one of those just matches that just went on forever and ever and ever.
Hard to find that. It's hard to find that IT seems like all these guys play like at least one year. Some play cells, almost.
It's crazy. Didn't bread far? Didn't you go to the jets?
Too bad. Five to the jets. I don't know anyway what the jets were paid manning obvious ent to the broncos time brady went to to the books. He might go to my amy, who the hell knows it's .
going have a what's time? yeah. No, i'm saying this is crazy that a Green bay legend is traded to the jets.
Yes, the predecessor to him goes to the exact same team. Yeah, the next bit of news that might happen with iron Rogers, this just in Rogers, is decided to stay with the. It's staying after all what I thought .
he was gonna after this .
after all this. I mean, there's there's so .
much conflict between them over the years. You would never expect them to still do IT. It's hard this whole time when you've been in one .
place that long, it's hard to pull that trigger like for and someone who just almost retired, when in doubt, don't and he clearly head out so he stayed in Green bay know he must have been thinking long and hard in that .
cabin do he just seems like one of those quarterbacks that's like, just need to go, you know, to a different place. But I was really happy. Where is? Man.
what? What do you think that cabin smell like that he was staying in that didn't have any electricity or run water?
Man, that's a good question. You might have probably sage.
probably sage had to have like a meal, do we?
No, don't wood, you know? Like would what wood don't?
Yeah, like whatever. I'm in a cabin that like like an outdoor, like wooded structure. There's that like very almost like do I smell? And it's just always there.
And apparently IT helped you decide where you want to go for insight. All right, next bit of news. Um this just in, hey, Rogers goes to another team.
not the jets. I thought I was .
either Green beyer, the jets at this point .
i'd never I exit for that .
that's that my army.
the dolphins, what he went to, the dolphins.
who knew that? Miami, chicago, houston. I mean, what other team should we pile on this? Rams, forty nine years. If he goes to the forty.
dc, wis. He went to washington.
Who knew? Who knew that all these teams were in on this air?
Rather deal this is crazy .
man this just in iron Rogers decides to retire and start a podcast. It's .
crazy. It's a genius move.
Actually this is the least crazy one. Um if we can create a podcast this successful, imagine what iran Rogers could do and he's probably going to make a lot more money, then we are. Does that mean iron? Please don't do .
that for free, brother. I thought aon a rudd's tuesday on pat me show he, you think that's where he got that he was like, you, i'm liking this. I'm digging this.
I have a fun doing this. Yeah I think that's when you start doing something about you like .
you and I probably tune in in, have a tune. I'm gonna tune in iron, i'm freking pond by your new your new career school baby. All right.
last iron Rogers, a potential headline that could launch between now and the tomorrow's episode launching is Rogers makes up his mind to come on the new heights number one sports podcast in the country and give a lebron James decision like moment. Why a miami south beach?
I've taken my chAllenge. The south beach.
yes, he's come on the show to anne that right now .
i'll tell you what packer's fans, packers fans, don't do what leaven did because there's always a charity by comeback.
C, yeah, speaking as someone who was in clever in when the bran did go and make that decision, I would not condo that happening on new heights so we can just mix this. I'm not, i'm not going to participate in that type of.
I still, I still get my original problem. Everybody said there is on fire. I.
I have, I had an understory age jersey and I lost.
You did seven and v was sweet to the orange one.
Yeah, I did lebron with you blow the blue, blue and red caves jersey that was rockin when lebron was the first time around. You know, talking about is like a darker blue with like the red, like kindly trim on the sides.
The wine read, thank you. The wine read is nice.
I don't know what happened to, but anyway is, yeah, those are all of the different scenarios we think might happen before tomorrow.
All electric scenarios, all possible .
one to happen. I mean, we could be in the exact same position right now. I feel like once somebody starts meeting a hash stage takers, the mains you just keep us for so you keep.
yeah, just keep going. Oh.
say, okay, lets see what else we can ask for. So who knows maybe, maybe maybe alan ZARA wasn't enough will find out either way. I know this.
I'm surely excited to see what happens with this in my situation because they do the body I can do. Here's one of the best of ball to where the in Green bay, new york supplies else are retired. Um air Rogers is still air Rogers, so this is exciting stuff. No jets jack, the guy that runs our entire social platform is I think he's just doing this over and over .
again on twitter is refreshing thing in the uploads .
ah is just refreshing, refreshing, refreshing up just an outs just coming on the show tomorrow at one P M eastern standard time.
Do you think he announces that he's it's gonna the pad coffee iron Rogers show?
I do wo no, no, I going to announced york jets on pat mak.
I know what he's going to the jets.
We already did this bit. We don't right, yes, but I like your enthusiasm.
I was excited, man. And IT will be electric news. If that happens.
IT will be, as is everything that comes out of the pm show already new segment, getting out of the house.
pitches out the house.
This show is always stressed the importance to live in the house to meet people and do fun things. In this week, travis got out the house. Um he said that to a little event you might have heard of the Oscars .
I were heard .
about IT as a big uh after party at the Oscars ers in lossy Angeles.
Yes, yes, I was lucky enough to get the inside. I got the ticket and me and my two guys, iran and Jerry ines AA management, we went up there and how to blast I got to meet some, some folks out in hollywood. He was crazy. You mean that I.
I, I gotto start.
I got to start knowing who people are in hollywood, because every face was the most familiar face that you've ever seen. And you're like, oh my god, that's an actor. That's an actor.
That that, that, and I was clues, felt really bad. The ones that I did know, though, they started introducing me to few people. The ones that I do remember saw d wait up there.
I already met him, but he was cool. Talked him about some of the stuff he's given into got to check out your wine. Yes, he's got, he's got a wine in the line.
Yeah, he's got, well, he's been in wine for the past like five, five, seven years. yes. So I still got to to got to try that was IT made I would assume assume his napper. I don't think I don't think he's going to overseas for I think he's keep in the right here .
in the day you can make wine in the us. Outside an nappa valley.
Yeah, no. See, adults are big. Yeah, that whole of west coast right there is big wine. Yeah, I will. I know if you're making great wine in .
the midwest, but Virginia supposedly, I think is a happy of wine. So as a more and you can make .
wine anywhere. yes. So I there was d wait. Um who else? Elizabeth banks SHE was absolutely awesome. SHE had SHE didn't have A A sore throw or some sort of a horse throat or some so he could not talk much but he was fun to be around IT SHE obviously do with cocaine bear coming out. I'm excited to see that that that story is absolutely insane. The fact that they made a what is I like a comedy horror out of IT that's i'm interested.
I'm thriller I mean, it's yeah, let's let's say, okay, what can we do? Let's what's the most fear? What's the animal that everyone is most afraid of being face to face with?
Agree, this is the bear.
Okay, how can we make this a more terrifying bear? Let's give them cocaine.
The boys can be wired. You know, this is based off of like samiti story.
I mean, I don't yeah I don't know. I didn't know that. okay. I'm just looking forward to the .
sequel cover with the sequel.
I'm just looking forward the sequel, meth bear, which bear, oh my god. Math bear, you thought go cam bears, intense, just want to do. Math bears, just running down your king else. If there's one thing that could take you down a cocaine bear, it's probably a math human. So imagine a math bear .
destructive. I went to the van fair, then I went to the gold party afterwards, which is, I believe jie party got to me. J, Z, great. Do and throws an unbelievable party. IT was electric.
and this is not a, not a shocker.
shocked at all, but I did get pumped about Tracy yell's ross, absolutely. History had been delphin.
Did you meet Larry .
David at a nice? I did meet Larry David. And I was like the first person. I walked in the room, walked in the room shooked. That band's hand, carbon enthusiasm sindhu LED i'm trying .
to get into this segment and I just can't do IT. I'm like really trying to be excited about the very fair Oscar party and i'm not to like .
I couldn't .
less fucked I like couldn't get less box about the vanity fair.
Ask yeah until you're up for an Oscar and you go to the party and you meet a whole lot of people, you know, like, what are these people are really nice that tell you what? IT wasn't like a club. You can have a conversation in there. IT wasn't like, you mean music, blair, and like, I can.
It's a lot. I bet IT is. So why don't .
you want to go? Because you can't wear flip lips. You probably were flipped.
I would a more. I would go if I was convenient for me to go if I was in new york and I got invited to something like this.
I would go, nice. So the met gala were in.
got you like, i'm not .
on what .
I don't like.
lebron James. See, a Brown men could melt. Brown women, men.
Now, he's absolutely legend. Northeast ohio legend, midwest legend. But yeah, he was fun.
Take with him. Saw dream, md, Green up there. There were some fun faces. Man.
there were everywhere. Dream man, again, I don't really know where to go with this. Well, you can was i'm super excited that you had I just yeah no um if you're asking .
no I didn't invite anybody onto the show, thought I was a little too much of a kick IT environment, didn't want to bring business into this thing but lebron, if you ever want to come on the show, man would love to have you feel on yeah I know you're pretty busy with acting now too big actor house party um yeah I don't know this is not into IT. So no, i'm not into IT. So this so I just feel like .
the only reason talking about this is because like somebody put this a thing yeah like I don't i'm trying to get into IT but he feels and I know that you went there so you .
talk about IT yes no, it's I had to sit through an entire fucking Harry potter fucking walk through okay, you can fucking get excited about getting out of the house.
Jason, if you're genuine.
at least you know who i'm talking about. If you're .
genuinely excited about vanity fair, I will talk about IT with you. But I feel like we're talking about this not because you want .
to talk about it's a new segment, Jason, because we're going to be getting out of a .
the house subpost because i'm genuinely excited about every potter. I feel like we're talking about this because somebody else wants to talk about IT, which is making IT difficult to talk about IT. That's only reason I said I .
don't have anything to talk about. So there's really nothing there other than I got out of the house, which is the segment.
I'm A S, I A S.
This seg me just became something fun. So thank you for being reheard about IT chasen.
I deserve IT.
And I think it's, I think is gold.
God, David.
I think it's gold. You just made this segment something worth listening to, Jason. You just made IT something worth of listening to the .
day and try really happy that you were able to make you to the very.
Guy is a dick。 No jersey. IT was an order to go to the van fair after party. IT was a blast. Even the gold party after that was even more fun.
Got to see some of the coldest people in the entertainment world, not just how they would both sports and entertainment. And I had have to blast. And Jason, you should come with me next year.
You'll have a different outlook on IT. You have a and he's wearing sandals. I saw just a bieber there with a he had a blanket on as he was sweet game was like J, B, U. Of the chill ebra in a blanket, but used to kick in IT. Man, that one say that may to meet of some of the .
oop established. I need to leave the house. I can't become a cr margin and just sit in my .
then margin curr.
I do not even sure that.
that's a real word ban. I definitely was unsure. I moving on, that's why we have this subject, this segment right here.
This is exactly why we have this segment because we need to get Jason more understanding of what he can do outside the house in the people that he can meet. So um who want to keep good, good guess we want to keep me people's asan in run. Let's move on to let's move on.
Now what we got and that was getting out the house with Jason, Kathy, I don't talk and even know why we're talking about this shit. This doesn't make any sense. That was great, man. I love every with that art.
Well, it's time to get to the interview. It's time to get the thing that we've been kind of leading and teasing this entire episode. I got the interview with a head coach, nick syriana.
What do you think about nick syriana? And don't just crush me because I just crush a benifit. Please don't .
some nothing to crush you or syrian about. Obviously great coach because of just you know how we can motivate guys but let alone this this is excess and old man, you guys are flow less um when the when that things rolling, it's it's impressive to wash um and he's he's got a he's got A A fun energy man like the his energy on the sidelines would you like when everything is rolling I have the image him like going into the camera. I think they're like the forty nine years game or something where's just like, oh yeah and I think I fall in love man, yeah maybe just one of the playoff games though but you could tell he gets he gets end of the games and he he feels a part of all of IT and um yeah so i'm excited, excited to check this one out and see what you guys where they are.
tell him about well, I think I think you're going to enjoy IT nick is is a fun interview is he's guy that where's the start on a sleeve and we got into a lot of great topics, including yeah well, i'm not going to do because you can watch right now with uh without further do uh, head coach naxian I pelton has what you need to keep you on track your goals no matter what season of life you're in.
And as professional athletes, we know how chAllenging IT could be to adapt your fitness to your busy schedule, especially during the nfl season.
Pelton has been a great tool to help me adept my routine to my busy schedule of traveling for monday night, foobar, podcasting, parenting and everything else I going on this year. Pellets is great for when you're travel between games at the gym or when you just need a moment to recover.

forty five dollars of customers taxing extra ed lower to c already. My guest right now is a three time national championed wide receiver out of mountain union college. He is only the third coach in franchise history to lead a team to the playoff in the first year, and most recently in a second year, just a second year, LED the field of eels to only their fourth appearance in a super bowl.
Next guest is nick syrian, I head coach. Welcome to the one one sports park guests in the world dressed very, uh, fittingly with the underdog. Perl, my foundation. Uh, be fully underdog.
If it's good, i'm looking .
is .
black on black, black on black. You can make that happen. I can.
We do that for appreciate that. So you are the king of wearing t shirts. Like, and this is why i'm doing this because, like, so nick always wears some t shirt theme of either one of his players. But sometimes there we go, slim sheppard.
slim wheer, right there. I think that only thing that I have anymore.
you don't even know. Shirts.
are I A lion? T shirts.
you have that jane, one with the glasses. That, so, but this is a next famous dardentor dog culture. This xx .
sex guy, yeah, zx guy is the owner, the culture of dog culture. And so he had him always an andy. And boom, we had something, we got that guy to order. And that so this year, and then that killed this.
because I love the cut off and home of a pet mac phy who's always in the tank. I know .
I always when I wear that, when I love that one, I love IT. I'm not I mean.
i'm a shot underway.
I'm not wearing just I got a couple shots. I go that one, but I that's a good one.
Well, you just finish second year as an antipho head coach. What was different going out of your first yearly? How did you change?
What did you learn? You know what the biggest thing I felt like that change was like, I think your coordinator or when you're a position coach, you can look and be like here's, here's, here's where, here's what we get. We got this team here.
We got this team here. We got this team here. We got this team here. cool. We we can win off for those. You know, we can do that what you think like, I don't know why, but I felt like I got a lot like that when I was a position coach or a coordinator.
But like as a head coach, I felt like I was really important that I just was here and just locked into just that day to get to the next day because I don't want you thinking about that, you know, and I wanted you just thinking about the just the next, I know. And sometimes in coaching, you get prepare for the next week, i'd get that and all those different things and you got to do more so that when you're a position coach, a ordinator and do the head coach. And I just thought I was really important to just lock into the day. And that's what we we talk about so much the next this day, this meeting ris .
one out new ways to say.
don't think too far narves how many different how many different ways can we say that and thought, I mean, how many times we say that?
One of my favorite wage you've ever said that was the infamous SE routes quote, where you compared the eagles organization to a plant just going its roots um where's is going to keep growing these things getting Better every single day? When you look back, you gave that speech, I think when we were two and five or twenty one and seven since that speech, which was crushed and filled up me, like most things know.
I said, I said ild was a flour and and I member, what I said do yeah and then went up for whatever reason. I like the .
interview and like what you wanted. IT to become .
a flower. Like a flower is a beautiful finish product.
Some of the outfits like the flowers there, I mean, filter alpha is very created. But is if when you look back, like how real of that metaphor end up becoming them know, we grew all through the first year. We ended up making the playoffs a bad start, two and five.
You guys somehow kept that thing go on more fit into what need to be ended. The you're really strong. And then had the the year that we had this year, like I have been in an unbelievable metaphor looking .
back and IT in IT at all, that was wasn't metaphor because we had already put the work is not like it's not like we said that right? And I was like, yeah yeah was just what we were doing. Yeah, I was just basically playing in the picture yeah sometimes they asked me like to like, how do you get all these guys to think think about your message and we like, yeah, that's a good sage.
And in first of all, I I always say it's our players like have unbelievable leaders and captains and and people on this team. But also i'm not saying crazy things. I'm saying, hey, if you connect, we're going na be Better.
If you compete, we're going to be Better like OK. If you hold each other accountable, we're gone to be Better. Now we live those things every day, and we are, but we all know that those are common and nominations of good deem.
What's the same thing? We were doing all those things, right? We were building foundation and everybody wants to founder.
Everyone wants that. The pop is as soon as I can, and all of all of us want to do that. But ah sometimes the roots need to grow in the world, the foundation of the billion needs to grow. And we want to compare IT for everything to stay dirty and stay rock salad as you continue to grow higher.
Yeah in finding ways to to keep guys doing that ah like you said, like finding new ways. One of the things that is very underrated or not even known and I guess is how do your team meetings label the more we get accomplish in those meetings is more than i've probably have, I think had coach no fence to dug cheaper and read.
But the team meetings are one you stay true to the messaging, right? But you find new ways the guys lucky to listen to IT. Um but then also the coaching that happens in the team meetings, the film of good and bad, not and like a call out way and just say, hey, we're going to show when we do things right so that everybody knows, hey, this is what we want you to do. We are shown when things don't go bad so that guys can learn from that instead of just the guy that made a mistake and then also just a the coaching of situation of football.
yeah. Oh, okay. I am feeling .
if you just turn the TV often on. It'll just pop back on.
Everything sounds fucked up.
I can fix IT do we joke about this? Everything technical are the running joke. The the whole power is turned off in and get back. We'll go through all least technical workshops and IT ultimately comes down to just .
turn off to turn and I have a great story OK i'm like that all the time and and every joke is always like did you try turning into that is a clock in yeah I go every time I go out yes I don't know anything yeah ah and so our fireplaces been broken for for six months. I love going home when it's called out, turning the fireplace and sitting in the couch.
Let me just like, I love that yeah for six months i've been saying that he can you my dad was here. I, can you call the guy? Yeah, my wife? That can you? Can you call the guy? No one's done that. No one is done IT like.
cold. Yeah, i'm busy right now.
And so we had this guy coming in to do our patio. You know, I don't think he knows anything about fireplaces, but I like, yes, he joins up the patio how we want on my hey, bro, do you know anything about fireplaces? He's like, again, let me look at IT you go hey, once last time you change these batteries for the remote and if it's working, batteries ies.
So he comes through here. He's looking at changed batteries to see what happens. But four new double batteries .
in instant fire.
I was so mad, like, that's my thing. That's all I fixed.
Why do I feel like this is going to be a speech to the team in the future? So all of the speeches end up being real life scenario like list, you know, things are going wrong. You don't know why you have a bad game.
Turn up, turn up. Replace the batteries. We're out the next play.
There is one hundred percent. It's just another way to say that you are a one hundred .
percent right? Oh my. Got you. More than any coach ever been with are obsessed with situation of foobar.
Have you always been obsessed with IT? Is is that the job of the head coach? Or that yeah I guess yeah .
I think it's a job that hate kosh to present IT and then everybody else to you know to echo IT and hate at those coaching points. One thing I always say that the guys is going into that saturday situation saturday, walter. Yes, you know we have the media on saturday and walked here.
Um I always say, hey, make sure position coaches ordinary, echo the coaching points, get one more opportunity to say down, no mos means this, you know whatever, just echo all those things. And so but really where I became obsessed with that was in kids city. That was they had a we had a bored like in training camp, like here's all the situations we need to get covered. And like I guess when you hear like what that is important to build ourselves because tad hailey work with build ourselves, you kind of think to yourself, like of shoot, know the bill part selves was obsessed with this. cool.
Here we got what did because the check for now.
for being you, maybe where IT all started. So that's that's where the the start of IT came. And then I was kind of like then we went to to Sandy ago after that and and we were encouraged. Coy was really big into that too and I think Frank and I had a big part of thinking through all the situations and it's just kind of grow on every place .
i've been yeah how many situations, even a number that you feel each week you guys bring up a new situation that you ve finally that you've learned .
watching another team and that's the beauty of growing right there is there's always something new that comes up that you're like we didn't practice that. We even talked about that. Yeah, great. Let's talk about that.
We just got Better like there's a there's a cool elling in that two of watching somebody do something and be like they did that really well or they really mess that up. And you say we ve got to coach that. We ve got to do that.
Now there's a fine line. Two of like what knowing what's important because I can the list can go like this, and I just like, place can go like this. But what's important that we need to harness in on, I mean, many times we run hef hole.
Yeah, not ten. Don't we walk through IT every week?
Frank, right? Used to say to me all the time is like nobody, like every situation, sad because we do the same thing and he goes nobody. And I mean, nobody practice people more than if.
you know.
those kind of became a joke. But then i'm like, what sure if IT comes up? IT came up for the chief s in the super ball when they played the niners.
They were in. He o yeah, no. They were in evo in that game.
And so like you, you know who knows? Because who knows when they come up? That's the beauty of IT. Like I you have to be like so in tune to the situation because you you never know what is going to come up what.
And I like that. You I feel like a lot of coaching staff s talk about that among the themselves. But I really like about you talk about in the team meeting. So like all of the players end up becoming a way that you're not aware in every situation. But maybe you, by the next user is a this is this situation.
This is what players right here, or like you, I watched in the suber and you know, right after they got that, the penalty, you know, the first time we have to be in a labor. Now we have to let them score if we want any hsl in this. And sure enough, we pop IT. We executed but jar. Because, just, because just too smart, he.
that was a really smart point. That was a very unselfish point, and obviously very smart. But from their coach, no much. And so know why I felt like shoe.
We, what if we were to practice that a little bit more? What if we were to done like that? What, how are we just always like? This is what I could have done Better.
What if we would have done a little bit Better to get the guys a little closer like we're going to tack and we talked about IT. We walk through IT like that one beat myself up. You like maybe we should put that in .
situations just like may be a little bit more like just like dive and then mr. Leg on.
yes, yeah like that's how my son does tacket ling. And real tackling drills, you don't really want to get IT. And so he'll come up and he'll take this angle on these angle tackling drills and like close and sweet, the part of the term.
one full speed, and just get the guy thinking about that. So maybe he forget something to please.
I have japanee what to do and demons what to do.
Just put, put on table of the ball. This is how we want you to do.
Awful angle, terrible angle. Like every time I go to his practice, i'm telling you i'm watching and i'm like, ah you can just see everybody close but again, and that's what his goal is right now. So he's actually actually in the goal.
Let's go back to growing. So one of my favorite things after outside of the root speech, because actually really like that, was after your first press conference that killed by the city of filled ali.
Angelo gally.
everybody we throw Angelo and we talking and crap back again. And authors, they just retired. So you can't talk shit with me anyways.
A lot of people would do that. You could respond. There could be multiple response. Is that whether you like, okay, now I don't want to do press conference more or like, fuck all these guys no, i'm sorry, family show. So what is off?
We can say we do IT all the time, but we we tried.
And how to, because our kids at watch get. But you use IT as a way for the team to notice that you've being accountable to getting Better. You talk about. And what of my favorite means, you do your second press convince and you practice and prepare even harder to make sure that you are Better in your second press conference. And I think that that's an unbelievable message for a team to hear that like, hey, the head coach is trying to get Better, and it's a very concrete example of trying to get improvement. And I think that leads itself to players being easy by, okay, if he's accountable and in being real ed themselves to know where he needs a Better at, you know, I do the same .
thing yeah I think that's part of leadership, right? And that's and that's why, you know, if I want to the players on our team and the coaches on our team to to hold other accountable, you I get to hold myself accountable and then think about why we have a good team like look at the leaders we have.
And i'm saying you and and flash and bg and lane and jain and and sang, and i'm just named in the captains and jake, right? You guys do that every day and IT in trickles to the rest of the team, becomes the culture. IT becomes the culture.
Yeah, it's what you live every day, right? And so I think too many times I I feel like we ve all probably had coaches that too many times you felt like I want to say it's it's like I don't want them to think i'm wrong and i'm going to say i'm wrong up there, right but there we're all wrong yeah we all make mistakes in that and I think that's important that we that we talk about him, right? It's because all that matters as we get Better. Another part of that message was, hey, the second interview I went in and I cross was awesome, and I turned the radio on to listen to what they said. And I still got it's still .
have a it's going you do have to tune in out a bit until you you even when you're doing really well still to tune in out, you listen, I got to realized i'm not what everyone thinks.
I remember how many times you said that this train, how many times did you say like, hey, listen, I love the players that were acquiring and that we have and look at practice is going unbelievable. Can ask off, everything's coming together the way we needed to but don't make for one second that the names you ten times and drink that the names I was pay for. No, keep work and head down, work, work, work and like I, that's the same message.
Let's keep back to your first ship. What do so we ask players a lot who like what was you're welcome to the nfl moment. Do you have A A welcome to head coaching moment? Was a moment in your first year. That you were like men be in a head coach is either not what I expected or like very aware of like everything like was at the was IT the press converse was that the roots Kelly, that everything you said is going to overanalyzed was at a moment in a game.
Yeah, I think, I think that the opening press commerce was IT like because just like everyone is going to and they're like, really.
really kind of IT.
You know what I do? I tell the story a lot. I tell the story a lot, so we played the page. It's I don't I think IT was the first game that we had in a person, maybe the second because we practice against them and wasn't the first week.
So was the second week we play a body talking like like, listen to get the job and people say, rebuild, rebuild, build like the first thing you think, like, don't that's not. No, that's not. No coach, no player ever in the history the game says I .
ate this can be a rebuild.
Yeah, right. And so like, that was the message almost that you were getting from outside, right? From the outside, like, this can be a rebuilt, this can be a read, whatever. And never went in the play, right? We worked just as hard that training camp as we worked the last train camp and everything like this.
We got every game expected to win and have successes. There's no game we you like, I guess words a rebuild here just cares if we win.
It's not in any R D N A, right? So we play that game smoked we in its prizes and game I get IT like I don't know this year.
the dolphins.
the same thing in this year with the dolphins. I don't think you guys then play member .
because jAiling in all the games we practice those the things don't play very much.
That's remember I think you guys were going to play. But then again, yeah, jane had something you get we did prex well and jelen got like something I don't but what I was right? No once plan because right now, so get, get.
So actually yeah right. They're doing us time like what what is going on. So I get the car of my wife and this.
I love this. I in the girl with her and SHE.
and I go free press. We just been a really good practice, do practically inst pay, who are a really good, well coach team, good, good players, everything. And they are put in us and she's like, well, what would you give him to cheer about?
I like bread and I love that.
And I just thought to myself, yeah, like we have people that will hold due to a standard. I like that hold due to a standard in this city to .
live up to maybe assemblage so well to filled out you because your own wife bread is giving you the exactly .
treatment and exactly exam. I go through .
a twenty four seven.
but that that game against the dolphins this year too, right? And like date, like you'd ever want to go out and put a bad product on the field, right by any account.
playing to pay to see a play. But even more than that, you want to continue to be playing well and improving. And just so was right, remember.
they've practice because they all had food poison or something like that. Remember that I one practice, yes.
so they played all. Then I played fresh. I really think about that like, yeah okay.
now watching things happen, like in that game yeah entire hill, what runs right by our second day, the first play game. And we're all on the headsets going, they're gona throw vertical the back 不要 你 要不要? So that's what I started like see that happening before I have. And then then we had that six one place. Remember we're got the six one and we in and we rain storm and then we expected .
to just get generic defenses and precision game and didn't have anything in for this.
I was so mad and I started like, I was ripping the guys on the headset yeah like and just like unbearably change or somebody somebody they can call me down was like we we our bus kick against the page is too last year I like, I like, no, this is not as unacceptable I think of .
themselves. It's good to um get your buck kicked in a meaningless and bring back down to earth and me like, we got a lot. We got a lot of fix yeah from all not just players like the whole building everybody, it's good yeah. Did you get any advice from other coaches or anybody that ended up being like the best if I something that end up being true like like men know that guy told me, be a .
hundred percent. You get a lot of voice from a lot of different people like I have my main mentor's in life and and this and that. But you know, I remember Chris ballot saying to me, he said something to me be because obviously is the general manager and the calls and there was liming he goes, hey, you're going to make mistakes.
You're going to own them and move on yeah and I remember in my first week or so like forget the press commerce, but I was like a higher in things to and like i'm trying to get everything right and this nam my who I really messed that up right there and IT wasn't IT was just something I messed up with. I didn't remember what I was but IT I remember waking up in the middle night like, just turn me on. My god, that was a bad mistake.
I clink, go back, sleep. I was just, oh, my mind. Like, that mistake is crazy because I heard Chris voice say, you're gonna make mistakes, own IT and move on.
I owe IT. And I moved on, and I was able to be able to get get through that. And that's accountability. And that's dog mentality, really. When you say, and when you think about IT, right, you own IT right accountability and you get Better from the accountability, and then you move on. Dog mentality.
right? Well, you talked about mentors. I know you ve talked about Frank a lot. Both of us have unfortunate to work with Frank. Um can emotional deal with after the game against any this year you want to describe.
He's like my big brother, you know I two two older brothers Franks like my brother because and I don't want ever thought says like like my dad because and then france, I don't want Frank to feel .
old more more break and so .
I always like, he's like, he's like my big brother and he he just prepare me for everything, right, as a head coach, as a cornet, because he was a cordiner, or when I was a courter back coach, right? He was a courter back coach when I was the quality control and ago. So just preparing me and always took liking to me, was preparing me for all the next steps. Yeah, right.
And again, what's great preparation is usually by example, right? And then that's where he was there. And and just other things, life in general, things, family get like this. Guys, all american guide that he has good knowledge on everything. So I just always felt that like him um as like a big brother that leads by example, always pulled me aside to help me prepare for for my next journeys and so you always you always grateful for that and good and good friend .
of my yeah just about being in a coordinator, right? Like what is the biggest shift going from being a ordinator to like a head coach?
I think I think all the things are important to be a good offa ordinator are equally is important when you're when you're a head coach yeah, you're just doing that with the whole team now, right? Like with me, right? You you you got the job because you you were deemed as good at be in the office of coach in the things that you do.
So you don't want to lose that when you become a head coach, right? You want to continue to to do the things that got the job and providing expertise on that. So, you know, continuing to do the offence of stuff.
And then I thought, what was really important to be able to say, hey, are I have this this wealth of knowledge and offence of football? I need to share this with the defense guys. I didn't do that as a core naye.
Now I talked with the guys like, what would be a car against this, but I know every tuesday i'm more structure, right? So like, all right, well, you guys got to determine if this is the right thing to do here. But I tell you what gives this play problems.
Is this? Yes, and and that's their main play. Tell you what gives this receiver problems and is this, and figure out out how the piece is fit. Like so like that and then also with the defensive guys. But it's just now connecting with the entire team because if you're taking your role as a offence of coordinates or of just more than the guys that are that's calling the place in correcting the film and and doing that and you're taking IT is i'm the mini head coach of the office, then you're preparing yourself to be the head coach of entire team. But I think it's exactly what IT is in charge of the entire team .
and to what I was doing with the office. More to the hot, more to the whole day.
exactly. yeah.
How is hiring an office of coordinator and deepens the ordinator go? Because does that help having actually done the position? And when you're interviewing these guys.
sure for sure, I mean.
actually just hired.
I just talked to shame and and we were talking through and he was talking about a somebody who was going to hire and this and that and he was going back and forth like and I just reassured him not that he needs my reassurance and or anything like that, but I just reassured him like saying, you know, mean you have evaluated coaches a thousand times more than we've evaluated players.
What do you mean by that and he and say that i'm saying i'm saying IT for here yeah well, we're always sitting there while we're watching players or while we're sitting their game player or what we're doing this, we're always sitting there in hearing other coaches talk. And we know that was a stupid idea, or we know that was a great idea or that was a bad coaches was evaluate coaches, whether we know or not, more so than we even evaluate players because that's what we do like we're in there. We spend more .
time with you the .
we end more time than than our life and go you know yeah you know and I get the same thing here like, you know, I think it's really important when when you're hiring guys is to is to make sure you have different people on the room that give you different expertise, right yeah um you know here's you in this room you know I I offence of guys.
Here that you know like jam sa and in all the defensive coordinator interviews and sordid Kevin and so did brian. Yeah right. And then there were some defensive coaches that had some expertise in all three levels that SAT and there as well.
And then you, and then you talk and you think about the question you're going to ask, and you have a list of them. And then at the end, you you know, you value what you think here on fundamental boom, what you think here on the and games came home. What do you know here on the situation room and all the things that you just did with that player you you go through and you give them just like we do with the player plus, okay, minus for the day.
And then at the end of the day, you tried to cast a wide net and listen to a lot of different guys. Is talk like I really looked at that as an opportunity to say we had a great opportunity to get Better at football like we don't go to the national coaches convention anymore, right? We don't go to probably probably should go to glitter clinics and stuff like that and just sit in there.
Why not? right? Going to learn you're going to learn some what is worth the time commitment. That's a thing. There's wanted the philadephia we or whatever what we started.
just good minds come to fill alphy and we can .
still this is a really big deal guy .
and but yeah like we got .
to sit in you know how alone the interview last with amount of guys that we did and just sit there and learn ball and and figure out not what you're doing. Two things. You're figure out who you actually think the best possible candidate is and then you're also learning ball and you're getting Better yourself.
Now what are the qualities foreign office of the coordinator is? Like what do you like if you were to draw up the perfect coordinator, what would be the ideal trades?
Yeah, you know, I think that's a good question because in in china, I do this a lot because bradly told us this. And so because bradly y would come and he comes up to us, he goes, he explained to me, what you with the best coach, what does a great coach look like to you and and you sit there for a second and you start to talk and you're like, okay, I got IT and you start to tell this and he looks at you and you guys. You just .
explain yourself and .
it's like, it's like and you think yourself like, I think I just I think I just .
my coach because you think about the .
things that you do and you're like, yeah, I think that's good you know your words do you don't say those, but you say the things that you think are good about yourself. What the important thing is, why even brought that up as the important thing is, is like you can have twenty EMS running around. You can have twenty of stouts run around. You can have twenty, whatever, whoever IT is. The twenty .
start to be a very interesting .
often haven't some yes, but very detail. He be very he's the best. And so like it's important that you have you know different styles too ah because that leads the different is that leads to to everybody.
And so I don't know if there's a perfect one or or but what the quality have to be is you have to be an expert on off, right? Or and the detail has to be so, so high, right? How many times that we say, okay, here we go.
How do we get a little bit Better each day? High, high attention to the deal me, meaning started by coaches going into players fully. This never walked there.
High, high intensity of practice, right? So and so the detail has to be so so high because you can have all these different styles of coaches, right? yeah. But what makes a good coach is detail. So that's the first thing, being able to put the players and proper positions to make place.
What are you going to do against this? What are you going to do if you get a high tendency this? What are you going to do if you get a hide tendency of this? right? And then ultimately is, can you teach players fundamentals? Yeah, right.
Because that's our job is like to give you, you, the guys the tools to teach you the things like like you're here, right? If you play a good fundamental, you will get here. It's not going to be at like right. But but that matters in the nf. Huge that matter, all things .
matter matter.
T because I feel like so much to the discussion ends up being like not even just betwen coaches, but betwen coaches and players like high level, like structure orientated, like how could we gain advantage from emotion formation against this coverage, against this blitz? How can we design that? And then also set you lose track also because we don't really practice that much too, but you use track of the little fundamental that allow you to do all these things that execute in high level.
right? There is no double IT becomes too scheme or in IT yeah and that the .
player and how how we make the player play at his optio .
level but that is the right angle and you know but the next step is a boat and it's be in great angles.
But if if the fundamentals aren't right, when you attacking that, you as wide open as possible if if you haven't got on the judge machine enough for um you know what i'm talking about, like I know anything about you. Drop the best one play if you're not approaching with the right fit, the right angle, the right, the right had .
placement IT can ruin the whole place. Remember you guys came to me and said, hey, that wednesday, let us to individual detail to continue detail dn, we ended up going to individual then walk there. Yeah, remember, because you guys know, you guys know how important the fundamental is.
So or conversely, IT could be a bit a terrible situation, but because the guy does sound like unbelievable thing out there, makes play which started with good fundamentals, right? Balls us out. Yeah, i'm curious about this because my dad didn't coach high school football, but he's the first coach ever had.
He's my literally baseball coach. I think a lot of how I interact on a field and play sports and everything was dictated because of my and my brother, your brothers, to coach your dad, a high school foobar coach. I see them around the building all the time.
So I was, is always our community. You said that you compete against each other. What have you taken from them? Like how was IT growing up in a household that was like so in the sports football coaching? And is is that a big reason why .
you coaching out we. Man, I have so many stories of of just of just that like sports is IT is its faith family football for us and it's like that's and really you can say football, but if we are a baseball season and I was best but that was best was whatever but like, there was just so much dad used to say to us, like if you're going to play for me and this you're you got to be really good because I don't want anyone to think i'm playing and just because you're my son and so like we worked hard at, we lived about a mile and half from the school and he track coach, he was a fool, all culture a little bit get cancer, he got and and and he just helped down on the study.
He wasn't the head track coach more or head football coach for use, the head drag coach for forty six years. And like, I mean, I have some stories that full to my head like be like i'd have a hard workout and track right or whatever and i'd be like i'm getting the car of my dad and going on he's like that yeah, you run that your cool down. yes.
You know, like all those, he did the score book at basketball games. Like he would sit there and do the score book like syrian. I, two points. Miller, three points.
what? I and he would sit there and i'd have those. I knew my coach was watched, and I had a great high school bus ball coach and got Cooper.
But then I have my dad's eyes, like, what can I like? Don't you miss this up? And yeah, and they're over there are too like so there's a lot of accountability for sure.
And then what makes IT really cool now is that we can bounce ideas off each other. My brother mike, who was the had foobar coach, a washington and jefferson college. We gave him a two point play maybe two years ago, okay, of like, hey, here's a play that we're running the tight red zone.
This is pretty good, do you like IT ah really like, I don't have all the tape. Here you go. He called me. But want to say this year at one point OK, they are starting to stop IT, but we were seventeen and nineteen and that two point that tight red on play. I'm like that when it's you're older percent, that's kind of you say our sleep percentage, what is your older brother and you can help. And with something like that, that's pretty cool.
And where do I get that big brother feeling of? Why did I get in the stands? Why elan apple for, or philly fans, whatever I was yelling like or celebrating with philly fans at the end of the end game? Because when you mess with one of my brothers, I get past right, like, you know, right?
I remember like there was, I can't tell you many times, like if if the southwestern trojans lost and someone said to me at something at school, like I remember I I told you guys the story. Remember I got into a fight because I was taking up for my brother and the kick kick the shit out of me. I use older kid and he said, some of my brother and my and i'm in the miral the bus he .
gin pounded up up right .
and so but that's what cool like be able to, if I went in a lot of different directions there, but like being able to talk football with them still. And what you guys and what they think here, what they think there, all the memories growing up in the count ability, growing up and knowing what sports had done for us in our lives and how important IT was, not sacred IT was. And then just have each other, others back at all times like.
And so those are the the things that I remember the most. I I can tell stories forever about all torts of things like that, because the budget of sports are so in or twin who we were and what we did. You are growing up.
Yeah, we do the same. We played any sport possible. We wear football players. We didn't even start playing foobar to middle and you learn from all this like it's fast. It's interesting to me that your dad was also the track coach because you a football which is an insane like the pinacle of team sports and like CoOperation and they have track which is like a depending on the event, is you out there and you're doing this on your own and it's overly mechanically about the attention to detail, like it's all detail. It's all hitting precise things.
I like no doubt and we were triple jumpers, right?
And so is I like watch that happened. I don't even know if I could cause .
myself to do. It's all technique, technique. You can't have bad step phase in like and so we were good at technique because that was like the fundamentals where I come from, my dad and stuff like that.
But what's funny about that is, is, yes, track is this individual sport in football, this teamwork. But my dad gravitated to football always, right? And so, like, I remember him like being there like, okay, this guy jumps this, and their guy just going to do this.
He could figure out the score, what the tracks going to be if everybody did hit their jokes. And so I remember one day I had food poisoning going into attract me. My senior year I have eight summit launch in caffe tera.
Yeah and i'm just I can't stop there and up and my dad came up to me, goes here, you got here and four events. My dad, I think i'm throwing up every two seconds. He goes, I know, but what? Okay, listen, I just need you a place at least third in two of them. And I needed to win the triple jump.
S so like this guy and so like i'm through i'm running down the run because he had figured out that we do that because I think I would want a couple of them and and maybe got second a couple of them but he figured out if I just got third like he's doing the team part, he's helping all the individuals, but he's doing the team part in his mind. And so I remember when I just need you to do, I just need you to do this. I would run down the runway.
I would do whatever jump I did. I did high jump, triple jump, long jump in high hurdles, right? I would run down the runway.
And i'm just speaking of long jump and triple jump. I'd land in the pit. I draw up. Oh, then I come back. And if I get out, I get that out of the IT wasn't like IT was boom.
walk for you I was.
I was a nightmare day like he had figured, but he knew you get that done. I think we want. I think we .
want for the .
but like he was figuring out how we could win as a team because so one of my point is, like IT is always .
about I was always about team, the collective, and I gotto come. And so I will be a time to ship. But same. I depend aside this at the combine. I've never on track, but the combine is essentially .
attract me.
right? Like have some dream I was growing. I go in the they still do this, uh, the informal interviews because I wasn't good enough to have a lot of former ones.
And that was my time. And I talked to these guys, and I would go from meetings to the bathroom, throw up or after, and what the hell is going on. And I I like stomach flu and then random on the day I was gonna N I thought a little bit Better, went out there.
And that was the same thing. Like twenty years, gentle, like I, A really good time. And people, I mean, you in saying that like that drill is all about, i'm going to do IT precisely with the technique in the steps necessary.
And if I do that, i'm around a faster time that I actually tried to run as fast again. So i'm doing all that. And then a week, and I A little bit lesson a week later, I find out I get sick again. Go to measure, like if you got to to say you to get your pending taking out that was combined story.
do you think any year times warn is good, is what you thought they should be with that?
Well, no, I don't think the ita affected everything. I was two eighty, two ninety five, all working out. Then i've wait out like, man, i'm like, this might make me run fast.
I'm pretty light right now. Can you imagine if that right there, the the appendix right there affected your dress? That is, either way.
on her down, IT went down.
Bad, they went down. Okay.
because I was two eighty. I went to wait two ninety. I was, I was, I think, the lightest or second lightest like center ever to way in. Like in the modern era.
Like, not good. Imagine that. Like, imagine you would went ten pics before. Yeah.
without you might not remember.
Eagle, I know that's insane.
I might have to a team that didn't didn't value athletics centers and got pushed down on the debt.
China, yeah, find a way.
I think so. And I know i've been blessed be with Howard. Modern just started for a long part of my career to and unbelieved head coach.
so awesome, like two .
of the best .
of fundamental. And yeah, he loved that he was awesome in the sense of, like, I didn't matter what conversation was happening in this because he was an off season. Rewind, rewind IT, rewind IT. He was all he was looking at the snap of the step for the book. He was obsessed with fundamental, just like.
yeah, I mean, he would before every game, he would have every player on the officers line do a detailed report on the gather they're going experience and like what your plan of attack was to play well in every week. If somebody didn't say IT doesn't matter who were playing IT all comes down to the detail and like how we do our job and like where we put to your feet.
He was somebody had to say that you can say this and has this move this great? This we had the as players before that meeting. Okay, hi, you're doing the generic like detail and always comes down to what we're doing.
So yeah, how was awesome speaking a detail quarter of snee we ve got to talk about IT the n feels about the banner potentially you don't think so. Don't everybody just says, uh, no, they're just pushing in there. There's no coaching involved.
There's no detail to IT. It's just rugby first, is that this for ruby players like what is a rugby players like like rugby is not entertaining enough to make you into the nfl. Like the takes .
place from basketball .
from is they're more two quarter action inc.
Than what you set me up. I but you know we just went through like I just did this I took all our counter backs, thinks whether was TV copy or whether was this and and I had all the coaching points of hasty le giving your main coaching points. You know why I did this in the season actually because I was gonna a use IT for um talking about a fundamentals talk and really get into that guys you want to know what goes in this play, give the detail of every alignment and give the detail of the like IT is without getting into secrets, right? I mean but like it's the detail of every place, it's more .
about details and a lot of other place because it's so like content, like there's not a room. There's no it's of one person messes that thing up.
There's no question is a singing about we miss one one time because the guy came out the edge, because the receiver, the receiver on the edge didn't step down. Remember the guy and the guy made the play the receiver and stepped down in the edge. And you guys, it's up in the middle.
got all this problem, but so IT down.
And so IT is, is the detail ever guy is the detail jailed and how he pushes? And and I know we squared s six hundred pounds and we see that all the time. And but like, it's the detail too.
It's the because you're here because you're the highest athleticism and the of you guys and then is a detail that makes the play go. And it's every position. It's every position. But where I think it's caused like that the thing did off of we created some export plays off as and that's what that's what football is, right? Yeah this teams trying to stop this play but get some .
time next year can push like the to push in the liars push on their side.
And that was your point. How is that fair that they're able to push on a courter bak nic and we can. How is that there? Yeah, right and so see what happens.
But I think there is awesome. It's awesome. Like you guys, you're on display. It's always about you I ic in land and it's everybody in jAiling but IT starts right there. Yeah, IT starts right there.
And every time someone's like, hey, how you so good at this play i'm like, well, Jason Kelsey iac and I can never say, I don't say Isaac last name, right? So every time I go, I like, what do you think about the online and I go, what do you think about your wrong game? My god, let me tell you why the wrong games work and Jason Kelsey land and dickerson Jordan in my lot of lane Johnson anise and I don't want to mess up his name yeah and so like every time I say like that but asic, it's you as land and it's jAiling, right?
Let's go. Yeah start start right there. You released yesterday that we had another version of that in that had futt cox.
I gave us built some beans.
Well, I mean, it's not like it's late. Why do we never run the version of flesh?
You know why? why? Good question. IT. Yeah, because we did. This was slide last year.
We had to play, why did you put a defensive guy in the same reason? The kansas city does something where they circle around and it's fun. Yes, it's fun.
We're trying to be right. And so we had slay in one last year, right? And he had won.
He did a couple of different things, they twice. But you know they're going over adjustments this and that. And it's sometimes it's hard to predict like when you're gonna do IT.
And so I remember .
was like IT was a frantic moment for us, like they run, like to go in, to go, not standing there with all the other White outside are enter. And so we got really frantic about him, like that was. And IT worked right and do anything. He just did some weird motion and run back out, but there people were looking at them.
And then you guys could have go on bad. I could have been like a delay game.
IT could have, yeah, yeah. And so like, I was always on our mind. And so for whatever reason, in in the regular season like, yes, fletch. And then to play us right now, do you want to do that?
Is one of those things where you got to be up some scores still like we're pretty comfortable, right?
We're going to do. I still .
remember when we wept IT for the first time he pushed, jailed before even had the ball he was so fired up to do IT today we to wait to have the ball this time skate and then IT was so much force ah like flashes. One of two guys in the end of a web noticed the grip shape. Yeah, like, especially in this problem, when he would grab you.
IT was like, oh, man, this there's an a masculinity elly, this guy has completely control. There's like two guys I can think of him. And for some recent claim, math s had the same rip strength where they were just grabbing. And like men.
this guys strong go quite often. Yeah, was especially .
when he was a Young. They haven't play bit more nose and up back when Billy Davis, the very straight four. And okay, we to grab up for the .
now flesh definitely asked me multiple times. We we get to call back .
s and .
in the flesh and and sometimes they ye up to do they're up is IT is IT IT?
yeah. Be ready to already. I think that IT coach.
unless for do you have anything for me.
don't make some mob. No.
I do want to ask me. I do um so let me see exactly. We send jae in the tags last year and we go two or we say one yeah .
and you .
know and I was a cool way to .
shouldn't .
because what you .
want to do.
no lower marine is delete. This is from from Taylor because tayler, I said, Tyler, lower marine beverage, I like a free cag. This is his deliver. And Kelsey, a cake of native light. Next monday, his request.
my first beer ever had.
was native .
light, like at the time as a twelve dollars like that.
Or you go through the drifter to get the bear. Do they have those? No, they didn't have those.
The best never, never done that drive you what you went in and just beer and cigarettes and see. And that's all you can really get there. I think you get some like gift and stuff.
Was this in alliance?
This a lion is in alliance. But anyway, expect the cake, beer perfect native light I to see .
and I finally .
um I guess I have guys one .
more question that i've kind of genuinely always want actually as I like, think about that. What's next right? I've always not coaching right. And whether it's at them, I think I know now whether it's at the high school or whether I try and do something in the nfl, I want to still stay in the game, I ever be able to live entirely. Do you have visual advice or like what are the pros, cons of coaching in the n of file?
And I mean, I think. The process is exactly what you said. You you're around IT. You can sure you'll be able to do this until you're forty five like brady, but you like you said yourself, I can't do this anymore or my case I wasn't good enough to do this at this level, but I can help other people .
were missing a cap.
I didn't point after that. I did, but I am. I missed in half A A. But like, I think that's the Better. The thing like you can help you serve IT, right?
You help serve guys to help them accomplish everything you ever wanted to accomplish like that special. Yeah right. And then it's right.
We talk about this all the time, like it's the relationships that don't. You're always you you're still part of a team. Yes, you're still part of a goal to win and to get Better every.
And so you have these relationships with the with these guys like that's the that's the huge pro of IT, right? You like those of the two things that come to my mind right away, right in your obsess with that, right? You're obsessed with like I don't have any other hobby.
I don't like to play golf. I don't do any that one of my favor things to do is is like go home, spend time with the kid. Like an all season, go home, spend time with the kids, right? Whether i'm doing some are usually playing some sort sport or whatever. You eat dinner, spend time with my wife on the couch and then know once we've we've talked and we're going to put on a show, put on a show broom laptop on and now watching something I don't watching .
something on the here.
here's desperate .
housewife I ever watch the phone comes up.
you got three screens desperate housewife, think that show there, there's a cardan's I an is up here, right? Cardan's I is up here cardan's ans SHE watches a cardamine she's a reality T. V.
Show SHE likes, right? Reality T V, have you like, what hell is this? I don't just so we should watch that, and I and I want i'm washing to know, like and then i'm watching what I corbit whatever IT is like that that's what i'd like to do.
So but anyway, you get to do what continue to do what you like to do. The cons right is is the time, is always about the time away from the family. But IT have to be as long as when your home, your home yeah like your Price, you watch you are are you been home .
and so what what .
you believe .
that kim is doing there?
What bread used to do for me, we were dating and SHE would be like, SHE would take the note, yeah and I would watch a game after the after the game is in, and I say, are right, number, number. Coaching receiver at the time, bow eighty two minus, tell him that I want him. And he was writing the notes down.
And then that went away once we got married. I want. But IT is switch IT down, right?
I asked you pretty much.
I say he wants a month like what you scribe for me and this is like, no, but so but this time, time away is the hard thing. But I know how much of my kids, I know how much that was when they stood on that podium at NFC chAmber chip game and and we hugging and this and that like, I know how I felt like having a dad like that was A A high school coach that I was always having access.
Hey guys, you want to go to the high school gym to to run around and and play and then I know has a good guy. I actually did that for my son is baseball team last year. I don't forgot what something went down, went to the indoor and we and we were thrown grounders and this and that.
So there's negatives of not not being there, but that's just about your choice to a cape. I'm there. I'm there. And then look at all these perks that you grow up that you are going to grow up with having.
So it's also a few days .
are b you know .
these were coming on. And if if brads reality T V thing, make sure you guys avoid catching calls. You and my brother is a tremendous 好。
谢谢 lix in the digital .
somewhere, which that there .
IT is nick rian. I what you think you.
I see a coach. I see a coach.
I was pointed. I don't. I wasn't expecting the guns to be out where the guns out entire day. Did you ever put those different things away?
They were only out for the nexium I episode. We were in indian applies thought that would be a good idea to do one interview in honor of the pat mac vio. We're in the, we're in his his home ground thought I get the guns out there.
And then also, that's a dog dog culture shirt. yeah. Next syrian. I preaches dog mentality all the time. So dog suns out or no sun in the in the winner comes out.
Were you nervous to, you know.
nervous where and .
room you think like a smooth, though you didn't seem like too nervous.
A nicky ives have a great relationship. Um IT is obviously an interesting dynamic. And there was the same thing with how you like whenever you interview in somebody that know your head coach, gm. But, you know, I got a great relationship with those guys. And nick is such a charismatic, you know, just genuine human being, is easy to have a conversation with them.
you know, IT, well, that thing was powered by office that accelerated drink.
as I kind of you, what.
I've drink already. Um no, but serious ly, he went over the flower .
speech that was an iconic one that to get crushed for early in his career. Um that is really I mean, if you looked at the states, it's paid off to be .
a said that has been rolling. What is the weirdest coaching metaphor that you've ever heard?
Man, I got a few .
good times. I've already actually .
mentioned this on the podcast and it's so weird that now I use IT. But whenever that is talking about a tough or and play, he's as a it's like pound and all of a fat ladies. And I don't know what that means.
I just I don't know what .
that means. I just know it's not to play. We want to run. It's going to be hard.
My guy, eric, by enemy always says you're got to give ourselves a chance to have a chance and that was always just kind of goes right over my head because I was like this. Doesn't that just mean like give ourselves a chance? Like are you implying everything that could possibly happen after to have a chance? Like give yourself a chance just doesn't like having a chance after .
that position to have a chance.
Yeah.
kind of another way of saying that you got to give yourself a chance mean you got to get in position to have a chance.
Yeah but couldn't you just like, throw that after two minute? This is like a everyday thing. Yeah, this is like everyday. Yeah, like everyday. Because fells, we have to be able to give, give ourselves a chance to have a .
chance you're going.
It's in grain to me. It's in grain to me. This is how much you said it's in grain to me. It's ingrained in me to give myself a chance. So I have a chance like that, how much I heard IT.
So so this will come up like you're talking to eb right out like offers the meeting ends, you you're done for the day you're going on to dinner and you know that if you know get there quick enough, the shocker chip cookies are going to be out may be I got it's nice.
I didn't give myself a chance.
I got, I got to give myself a chance. I have a chance.
And in order to do that, I got go. Nick is stealing, are just turn that off and turn IT back on on moto for the future of the teen speeches. I'll tell you what is pretty good one have turned off to restart .
that we turn IT. I'm glad you just remind me of that, because watching this is literally ask me. Yesterday we were talking about this, and he wrote IT down from the combine.
He writes down ideas for teams speeches. And we were just talking about this. And I had forgotten IT, and I just remembered IT watching this interview again, turn IT off, turn that off for the team's speech.
Works every single time, works every single time. And lazing them with your have problems, just reboot, all tricking the book. So, I mean, IT was an unbelievable interview, but S, B reel, did he gets to the beer that he promised you? He said, if you come back back again, it's really get the big.
I got the kid sit outside right now. And likely it's cold enough that they didn't get in warm. It's untapped and waiting to tap IT probably tapped this weekend on same party night.
That's right. Yes, it's A K of a netty light. Netty light.
I know, know, I know there's a lot of beer snob out there. There are a in this. And I love a good beer. I love a good, you know, ipa, easy ipa. I love, I like being in general, doesn't matter what IT is, but if you only me a cake, something that I have to drink a lot of, i'm to go with a nani .
light first day I kind of made that mistake. There's there is a heavy beer out in kenza city called ten, seven by bullied and bull of our beer company. And yeah, I tried to go through that in a cag.
That is the harder because it's a heavy beer. It's a lot of spices. That's a lot of beer to be and you don't you I mean, you need some like a, like a native light, like a blood light, something that's just smooth Chris.
hair above water and it's going to be delicious. I can't wait. Want to make a fire outside. I'm going to invite a bunch of guys over.
I just got I got like fifty pounds of one of these cows out there in the freezer. We're going to make a bunch of burgers and drink some net light. It's the first beer ever had, actually the first beer I was my walk.
He's best technically. And then I was like, what is this? Yes, that's one step .
about the peace. Fifteen years old .
or fourteen or whatever was. Then I went, had an outline.
so kids to responsibly.
One last thing from the next year, on the episode, he did mention that he wanted a black on black. This is his favorite hat, our foundation dog.
Yeah, the sweet day when I got to go .
and he requested, and we had to made, just because that episode. So, okay.
okay, go syrian.
Been a train set, Better put on hands. Got to the black on black. Coach.
you as requested, as requested. Hope you enjoyed that next syrian I interview um I know, I know. I'm sure going to trying get my coach on here one day. Coach.
you're listening in. How about do so? I an in I ran in the andy out in andy at the combine. Great mood, I don't know why is in a great mood, actually I think I know why.
Probably great who ably because he has .
like eleven pigs in the draft. You andy, just want to stable and forget about that. And then you know, I think out text, i'm going to text. I'm just going .
to take care of this. You got to have you got to coach other Jason hu.
You come on if you get to it's .
got to come from now you're make i've ask some million times on the show so might have like if I see him the face time there .
you that's .
