That's another reason I don't look at the playbook is because it's fuck you, stupid. Nobody in their right mind goes out there. Place I gap common two like, no, the center got to go there. I got this mother .
fucker is just for communication when you come off the field.
like how many times is there are on a playbook, it'll be around but in your head you know that .
like a of this guys, you know I mean i'm barely ever not running what's on the paper like you barely .
ever not running what's on the pack.
I am always running what's on the paper .
IT tells me I what you are you fucking for.
Welcome back to new life, ladies and gentle sports and entertained your on travis causing my big brother Jessie Kelsey coming from the university of since and AI cleveland height, ohio s finance right here, at least we like to think so, describe on youtube where ever you get to practise follow the show on all social media at new height show with one s and check out our official think club also add two heights show duck on sorry, we I screwed up my setups on reading things off my phone all right. Just want to told you was coming up .
all right now we got a great episode. You guys coming up, we're going to be talking about what it's like to transition into the nfl. We've got a fake good spirit acy theory, which you de doesn't like a good good spiracle theory oh and as usual or keeping tabs on so yeah, who knows where was this week?
Be sure everyone knows.
but first is always no news coming in.
T that's right.
Shorty awards new hides just want to orty work for best sport, uh, podcast at the sixteen th annual shorty awards or short awards well, and we'll also selected as an audience honor for sports podcast. I don't know what that means. I don't know what we were also selected as an audience hour for sports podcast, which means IT received the highest number of votes from the public.
Nice thanks ninety two percenters.
Thanks for again as another award is big full list and amines new heights with Jason and travel's Kelsey night cap ocho and uh uh sharp uh and uh the joe cat show big noon on conversations and all the smoke.
all the smoke baby, my favorite is best of those guys.
Is that a best?
Yeah all the smoke is .
hi beer ball to the do ninety two percenters. Remember, there is still time h to enter your name and for the casting, this is so weird the way we're killed. Remember, there is still time to end your team in the second annual bearable link to the submission uh website in the description of this video or podcast. And also a new news, uh, I need some hecklers.
We need hackers.
yeah. Be filly is having their first annual golf outing. Uh, IT will be june seventeenth th of this year. So we're looking to have a lot of fun with IT and do IT a little bit different in one of the things i'm pretty passionate about is I want each and every member that is golfing and that golf tournament to feel what it's like to play sports and filled out of.
Yet the only way I know how to do that is a recruit some of the most drucker, rand, bunco ious philalethes orts fans and best ship talkers in the phillip hia. Area to haco. All of them rather take off. I think that's one of the one of the great past times of being a professional sports splay and filled out yet is enduring a the wonderful fans filled out here during tough times and they can really get to. So I thought to be fun to let everyone experience that first hand .
this is .
gold problem is um I don't really know a lot of the best hackers. And I thought just asking fans for your recommendations would be the way to do IT.
I think this is a great idea and a great way to go about IT like really like just go out on the podcast until everybody have you want to talk some shit to some familiar faces yeah OK if you want Jason because they just said like like a week ago, two weeks ago, he doesn't want to do a rose because of this this moment right here, go out on the ledge. Just be like, hey, guys, come and roast me for a home.
I'm not talking. I don't have any problem with people talking shit. I I think i'm talking about like the rose things are run of TV and how personality is what if we're not going.
I'm just saying I think this would be a lot of fun for a golf tournament, things that we're looking for. yeah. Have you ever climbed to Grace poll? Or have you ever been arrested at the link or event could take link or event, could take a link or event? You know you're pretty good if you're get in players to turn around at in the midnight games.
Yeah you get a player if you break them like the guys at was the eagles niners game oh yeah.
yeah.
Got to got to old expose. Men, yeah.
So if you're on the field and you're on the bench, you're going hackled so well that you have to turn around mid game. It's like men probably pretty good to talk.
And jit, have you has anybody .
ever got you? Somebody, when I was playing in oakland one time, I said long hair at the time, and they said, sixty two, you look like Billy burge's daughter with was pretty good, was pretty good.
Did you? Did you laugh at? IT all laugh me.
Lane, all the guys we are loving a rest.
great to go. Yeah, yeah, it's good. I probably that's actually a good point. I don't know if it's like if it's a bad shit talking or it's like one. I turn around. If you have some good shit for me though, i'll turn around and give you a not .
exact pretty 那 那那 这个。 Yeah, I agree that we're looking for we're not looking for people to be assos that to make fun of people's .
family family. We're looking for people that are actually funny.
But if you to make the family, if you would like, please treat at new height, show um with why you are a definitive action or wherever you're nominate, you don't have the nominal. If you know somebody put him out there or her, we would love to hear from all of them. We are going to select our favorite participate who can also be there.
And I wants to participate. But yeah, I want to make this as fun as possible. Maybe we can film some of them have like a highlight show real. Maybe we'll show .
on new hyde like .
that with fucking .
love this, right? I think .
it's going great.
We might need .
somebody for new, but you're in just give jack an .
actual money and you probably pretty so just now least .
a couple people do we do on a par three or a what whole do I feel like part three closest to the pin needs to be held?
Hol, it's definitely part three is to be a one shot time deal is to be your mean, like you get one shot to at the grain or drop a close. It's one hundred percent.
I'd be a part three were going out. Other rules. What do you think about this one? molokans? If you want to mulligans your molokans, you not usually give you a little cards are you pay form? It's like thirteen bucks and molecules sound like that. What if molokans are like a beer and you have to turn in in your cans at the end of the rounds if you want a molokans, 这个 molossian。 But you ve got to buy a can of beer, and you ve got to chuck that beer before you hit your nice shot.
I think you should make IT because, mulligan, you can do a moleskin a hole. And like between four guys, it's like eighteen and beers can be done. Yeah, you might have to make IT too, if you want to. Molly, you got a chug, a beer.
The other one I thought that was 这个。
i got to finish two beers by, like the next two holes or so why .
I don't want people to be like, stumbled over.
I want to have some fun that you know OK what's the point .
saying you get that it's a choice? It's like, listen, if you just beer yeah .
you're gonna get hammer if you're gone to keep take a .
militants exactly which I mean, for me, I feel like level of point because is a lot of guys I can drink really well.
But the play, we don't play with handy caps. We tell everybody if they want a moleskin.
they got to drink yes, which is making the tournament a .
big drinking him bearable.
Golf tournament also thought about, is there a hole that every member of your team has to finish your beer before the end of that whole, and you have to turn in your can to the attendant hole at the Green?
Exactly if if one guy does IT, all four of you have to, yeah, I like that one.
Or maybe it's if you all, we don't want to force people to, but all of finish.
all I do.
If all of you finish the beer, then you get to extract a stroke.
I don't know you're going have to earn this thing up, but that does not like.
what are some other ones you've done fun.
H, some of you can go out and get a gold .
ball launcher. It's a gun, josh is said that .
is before of 后 is thing that would be a great change。
One one.
Yeah.
people off. 对, i guess .

That's right. The farmers s dog isn't just fresh food, it's higher quality food. And they also send the food proportion specifically for your dog. That's right. This makes IT easy to help maintain their idea.

cast of happy .
gilmore two I had I didn't even know there was a job opening for having them to but um if there is, i'll be a fucking and extra no and just get around a happy girl more out of the same the film or set um coming in obviously been a huge fan of the sand man but yes, this is exactly what IT what IT says. IT is a conspiracy theory who knows a theory, theory can come true, theory can be true, just people don't know about this time I might even be in the talking and um nobody knows about IT, but I could also not be in the talking so well.
The spirit y comes from IT doesn't seem like there's a lot of evidence is there's three parts of the there. Part one on the poncas, of course, aren't eluted to the cursy brother being in L. A. To set up movie deals. Part two, as travis been wearing this hat for a couple of weeks .
in a great at part three.
just happy mor two, just announce. So there's really no evidence to support this whatsoever essentially .
other than the movie is getting made and i'm looking for a .
movie deals to love at them or so yeah, we're just in line with about a thousand billion other people .
trying to think of what role. And maybe the old one would I be the jack as guy? I'd be the one heckling from the crowd.
I mean.
that's a good role. I did just do a game show. I did just do a game show. Maybe play the bob barker role.
Oh, you know about burger.
honest you. I close and even close. That was, we were thinking.
dude, I really think you've got to be involved with shooter. Somehow you be shooter. How do what shooters catty?
Did shooter even have a catty? I don't even remember having a cattie. I don't think you did.
but now he might not happy you more two, just like happy he's got his catty, which is an iconic homocysteine dressed up in his catty form. Shooter who's like mr. Big shot has not professional tight and b in his career. I think IT .
was pretty good. I could be shooters catty. You could be happy here for the neanderthal caveman like that.
Catty was perfect from happy humor. One, i'm not doing anything with that.
You know nothing about golf.
I feel .
like draws. You actually. I think he wash a draw.
And so definitely kind of move for sure. I don't .
wear underwear.
so it's not my move. No, but talking about that, i'm serious. I think if shooter was gonna a cat, IT would be like some like random celebrity. And I feel like who Better than to be the cat and professional tighten and travel's Kelsey, because if you going to want to show off that he shoot him a given travis Kelly came a bag.
I can happen. I don't know.
No.
you not seen IT. no. But like I said, I do anything in the movie.
What is what you could?
I'll be a part of IT. Anyway, I possibly can.
It's hard to know without .
knowing the script. Such a good movie, great movie, a good movie. Actually make me want to watch IT.
right? Your favorite, your favorite. happy.
More character. My little is, i'm going to say happy, go more.
then make sense. He's pretty .

happy. Go more. And i'm i'm upset. I just go to my happy place.
What's your what's your favor? Atam say, on their character that we're going to expand IT to other adam and the films. I know, I know what you you thought of this and know what you thought about Bobby bush.
So I don't understand how he didn't went like he was full character. I mean, I get IT at like you can tell .
me anybody did a Better active job than Bobby I E in the water boy.
are you there's only one other movie where and it's a little, I want to say, silly, but he was full. He was full throttle, a completely different human being. Little nicky.
Little nicky was, oh my gosh.
So, good cash. Little nicky, little nicky, water boy.
he should have won an academy word for best actor. And I, like you can tell me, anybody that year who did a Better job of acting like a, like, a cruel swap, like football, I even ever thought about this, but what an amazing job that was.
It's anywhere you want. IT IT still is up.
It's so good. Who is the best?
Actually, that one that year too.
I have no idea. The water boy was in released in what year? November of nineteen and ninety eight.
one day after my bird. How about that really?
Yeah, the Oscars that that would have been up for would have been the nineteen ninety nine Oscars. right? Say you right on that.
Best actor, Robert open, I one. The award for best active vers leading role in life is beautiful. They fucked that went up.
Life is beautiful.
To know that he didn't do as good of a java bob. I don't even need a fucking in. Watch c, there's no fucking in chance. What did he play like a guy that was in love? Try play in a fucking and crew guy that's in love with this .
mama that doesn't know what love is.
What's the actual point? Oh wow.
dd, there was that segment.
We've just been informed as a hello cost movie.
So yeah so I mean, he probably deserved IT.
I bet adam could go and be in life is beautiful and do a pretty similar acting job as Roberto benni. But a Roberto beni tried to go be bobbi. B he, he would fail like a fuck and miserable. You are .
attacking Roberto.
so nothing against you, Roberto.
But i'm in with this bobbi .
shades father that disappear. That came. Debt 我 你来 擦 个 稳。 It's me body though yeah, any if you are an adam saying the character, who are you most like you want to do me and how do you?
You can do you so art, yeah.
I to o so who's travis and adam sailor character, it's tough.
He's got so many fucking movies.
I know.
I mean, that David bob blue shares, I feel like your character, but either bob blue share or the wedding singer.
how's going to be a wetting singer made for you? But if I all take waiting singer, let's do there. Many fucking good, good.
good.
It's ridiculous. I thought of forty first dates.
I love .
that movie. I love that movie. It's kind and nice favorite like a long com. Will drew berry more action? Do I don't want to say this move because it's not like original adam saying their movie, but the longest share quoted back from August?
Fuck, yes, that's that's i'll probably take that crew. Fuck you. I think we got nail IT. If I can get in on a happy day or two, maybe I get on a forty first dates too.
I'll do my second movie of you. We are. I did the movie of you on the twilight series. I'm flying out the L. A. I watch life is beautiful on the plane right over there and a recap on if Roberto beni really deserve the .
Oscar over headed and sale if me you know I we got email from my boy mics, former clever and high hockey t mate of mine had this picture attached also showing my um my hockey talents. Man this was this was school. This is A W little w score championship we ended love women um as I believe maybe ten year now they give you like twelve right .

before you. So you wanted in P. V, S. Were, come on now, baby, do you do you know what? I forgot how much daily Baker looked dead on golden? Look at that on the food was before we had.
He was before we hit our groceries. I was pretty happy too. I am.
Should I look like big? I sit in the middle if you guys good and see me. Brand sugar was pumped up, cited OK.
I know a lot of the people in this photo, almost all of them, which I don't remember. Which one is brian? brian? Michael? Which one is brian?
Brian is stay staining literally right next to me. He kind of like lean and in the picture here under my shoulder to the left of me. If you're .
looking at IT, yes, roman key to the other side and then .
he's on the other side, the Michael um Chris deets and there Andrew brands and there will fredo um semi I am sumi. May we get everybody who's that phillips, Andrew phillips and that you played with his older brother man and so you would Michelle Johnson as well. May we got the entire day in here mr.
Death, mr. ride. So every all, all the Cliff and his hockey guys.
Man, I just, I always wanted, just get the, get the crew together one more time. I just go out and play some happy love. Men, one my, one my favorite past times of forever.
Men, we got to get back the eyes.
We got to J, J, the, what we're, we're still in here. I hope you are. I am not a lot seen.
J, J, rip. slapshot. He's IT. Did I want out?
I tried to take, I tried to take wide and allied after ice skating lessons, and I did not go well. They.
no, no.
there are two. They were not ready for IT, and they cried .
the entire time. Six or seven old.
Seven was my first time. Get out there. You were Younger than me when you were five.
I was five yeah. I was really ninety nights yeah I was terrified though. I was crying on the bench. Had all the hockey girl on crying on the bench and I when I go was like, he was love.
A in my mind was just say, I need and .
then dad, just like, pick me up through me on the ice and I pushed me to me, like, what was that like a Walker? Sometimes they give kids, like, you can kind of like, baLance yourself on the Walker to you, get your bearings. He said, just do a lap.
Just do one lap was like. I did one lap and I looked like i'm going to do another one. The next thing you know, i'd throw, I throw the Walker out and i'm just like flying around. Having a blast as skating is fun as help lady and gentleman, if you haven't gone, you should go and try to do IT sometime soon. I was good, but i'm really told myself .
that maybe that's what I did. Do I need to get dad to go with me for the girls? Because he was always good. That stuff.
He's he's really good at that stuff. I still .
remember the bike riding and when we were still in north original, I can't get off the training wheels on terrible. They had run in with me while the bikes going. And then like multiple times until eventually he's look at me and I look at me and he's not hold non finally. So I realize that i'm actually right in the bike was good yeah.
they good is a legend. yeah. You might need to just see and do with why at one time and take notes and go from there.
Yeah no, sometimes you might just have .
the magic touch.
And why other this year, I think I could keep doing with White. I chewed up because I an entire skate tight enough in which you stood up. They were widely, and that's when he was scared. SHE had zero fear until you stood up at the skate's time, and I mess that a big time. That was when I was like, yeah, I doing this.
Any bad cops used to want to fucking kill me at the camps. When we were kids. Coach backhoes shot up. Shut up to eddy.
Yes, when I believe he still in, so he was a, he was in high school and he was ended up ended up being jesson's hockey coach, I believe right? He did. He did in the high school team.
Cause for a long time he used to hate IT because I would be like, he can new time, my gates tighter, they're not tied enough. And then we go in and he tied real tight. I D fuck go out like two, just like this little fucking kid fucking up this times gates the whole fucking day for this kid.
And he was so fucking electric, we supplying a baseball game, oh my gosh.
baseball man set out to high. Tacky, your kids that are interested in doing a man and send IT do IT you? You'll love IT you actually love .
that man there. Lamers a coach. Now, I believe with .
a high school team, how nice. Yeah, he play for the missouri meters for a little while.
He bed sold over the place in h 3 mo。 He played a long time.
Yes, I there, aby 小 老子, brian Michael baby is Better, a mid of brother. But I appreciate a senate in that pic. Man want a chapon, always a chapon brother.
Hi, let's talk some more football hha. This is a portal that what we keep you in awards for. So we are going to talk about sports.
Hey guys, we're still fourteen weeks out from the start of the and season know to coming up your trip, we officially in the dead middle of season mode. Why can I not in the dead middle of the off season? I can't read .
IT IT still fourteen.
who is help from the start of the season? We're officially in the middle of the nfl off season, but you know what never takes on you know what never takes an off season? Why am I fucking so stupid right now?
I mean, you kill that.
but you know what doesn't have an off season? And of those social media, that's right. Since rooky, gams and ogs have started, a lot of any events have weight in on the transition from college to the nfl.
right? Uses dana asy clip where you talk about all texts, play what quarter go, apply playbook. And I thought I would be cool for everyone to understand kind of what that processes for .
these rockies then does a great job. He's very unbelievable and explaining things, I think that that he does Better than a lot. And it's always fun when you can dive into like what the place look like, what the place sound like um the different verbs and everything that different teams use.
I commend them. I don't think I have a single a playbook from any of my seasons. Obviously him being a quarterback, his he's he's cut those things um and he played back when he was an actual playbook.
Now everything's on the ipad, but I was going to say, Carry around of a playbook. Go paperless. I'm a big, equal friendly guy.
He does an absolute great job. And then so does chase Daniel. Chase Daniel took a one step further and broke down some place from an old show pay sense playbook.
I decided to pull out the orphans of playbook for the sense twenty sixteen. Look how thick is. I love what dan was saying because he was really focusing on the macro. O, but I want to focus on the micro.
Chase does a great as well. He makes IT really some kind of breaks IT down and simplifies everything to the, to the average one .
chase ended up breaking down a one play, then broke down. Is essentially like what it's like everything that's in the book health ticket is, I will say the book looks enormous and there kind of happening up like it's that hard. And I think IT is hard for quarterbacks.
Most of the time, you're not recalling all the information in that book at all times, like the way they installed IT. A lot of the information in the book really doesn't get used that much in the front half of IT. Like there's the place then there's like procedure ural stuff that you kind of just do so much to becomes second nature procedural.
how you identify defenses. Terminal gy, there's a bunch of stuff in there.
I like IT. Maybe you would just as I was stout I the way they like, namely is like there was always like the name in the playbook and if you have half a brain of every boy football, I it's a wambling z like William mike like there's a lot of stuff in there that is not that important.
The importance of IT is is there like you said, you just have to know how to talk for ball and a lot of the stuff that in that book is based off of like, yeah, we have to be on the same page when we communicate you can't say, oh, number forty seven and twenty three came off the edge. You mean this is like, tell me exactly who I was in. Ms, of who we called the mike of things like that.
So dand did a great job of talking about personnel, and that's where IT really gets tRicky for like White outs and and running back s understanding the personnel, understanding you know where you are on the field and how you have to line up in terms of split of things like that. The concepts were a little bit harder for me to grass, then the run game and the and like the like the past blocking game. So if i'm in like protection, I think I think that especially from the tightens like perspective, like either you got the White dest or it's like we're blocking this in a man scheme. You know, when he comes to my past present .
things you got to know is, are you getting the help from the tackle as a tackle helping inside to a line backer? Is that so is an area I know exactly .
is which is end on the on the flipped side per center. That's your heyday, right? That's the book a year like and you just have to be able to communicate from that point on. But I think that a lot of the servers and running back since and like kind of like the skill players, as they call him, the skill players, the the White title s running back.
Anybody touches the ball .
yeah that's where IT gets a little confusing. And I can be A A lot in terms of like the concepts that are being installed because you're typically the first like week to two weeks of training camp every single day. You're given about twenty plays, twenty different concepts of past place.
I'll be very honest. I feel like if you played football throughout college, you've run into the vast majority. This stuff like maybe IT changes a little bit and this all sorts like different systems and what not.
But most systems have like sembLance ces of these place. So you're not like going in and seeing a lot of brand new stuff. You're seeing things that you did something similar in college or in high school.
Oh, like this is outside zone. This is what they call that this is inside zone to the weekend is what they call that. This is what they call power. This is what they call, uh, six man protection is we call five man protection like the biggest thing of the terminal and understanding what the names of all these plays are and how they coach the techniques.
So there is a lot, but I still think with how is installed and maybe I think this because I didn't have an off season like I got thrown in there in the lockout year. yeah. So I was so my first year, two thousand eleven, was the year the lockout.
I didn't get a playbook until two days before training started. So I went in completely, not knowing what was happening within. I mean, it's amazing how fast you can learn this stuff, especially with the way they install IT.
You're installing a few runs a day. So you get to focus on those runs and you get to really iron out four down, three down. yeah. And then in a game you don't run in like that whole playbook is not in for each game. In a game, when you actually go out to play, you have yeah you have like fifteen runs in maybe tops and that's including then you have a special a couple special run plays and like certain situations, rough concepts on and how many rock concepts you guys have in for a game typically like.
I say maybe sixty, I don't know. That's a good question. Like IT definitely IT cuts IT IT cuts IT down, but you got about ten concepts per like situation from base to nickel to you know third dow package to goal line to red. So i'm going to save somewhere between forty and sixty in that scheme.
Now your different you're are on the field all the time. You have to know all of IT. I do think tighten is probably the hardest because not only you have to know the right concepts, you have to know the blocking concepts, you have to know so you have to know all the run scheme and all the passing game stuff.
And you guys.
guys, guys, you guys are the only guy like even cordera ags even know they have to know kind of what the open online is doing, like even the chases breakdown, he said, like the tide is going to here, know the guards picking out the end, the tights forty inside. Like they, like the cortex aren't paying attention to, like that my ute detail of the run, they're really focused on, okay, what am I killing this for six or seven, nine box, like blitz, whatever.
They have a good understanding how was supposed to be blocked. But I hear you're that they are not well.
they know past concepts, know like they're going to be hot in past game, but most of these guys don't know the integrity ies of like to run blocking and time and you have to know at least a certain degree like the actual like line calls that are happening between the tack on side and you didn't to know the sender makes this call that now your job is change within the run scheme. Like in my opening, the I know more than anybody else on the field.
No, I think the porter bag takes that. But I do I do think that it's it's fun. It's a fun chAllenge to have to be able to get asked to do everything yeah and I didn't realize that until I moved to the position.
And that's why I really started to find love for the game like I was doing more than just catching the ball and given IT to somebody else. I was like taking my face in the fan in the wrong game, finding ways I can help guys out when they have the ball on their hands um running around, doing field, get given blocks and getting open on me. I just had so much more fund in the chAllenge that the tight and position gave me um then necessarily the cortege c position and everything that has that goes on without that world.
And I just yet I had a blast with the minute I I switched over in terms of the transition from college to the prosor, the biggest thing is just like that communication with the home new team, a whole new coaching staff, because you want to be able to have those to quote, educated conversations with your coaches. So tell talking to him and saying, oh yeah, that was a bicton gives him commute, that was a bicton blitz or that was a one blitz that gives them come. You're seeing the field and you you know your job and you know what we're trying to get done as a as a team, as a unit.
And all that does is just you know make you seem more valuable um than just an athlete that can get the job done. Now you're thinking of IT from a team perspective and I think that the communication with the with the coaches and the players around you is so much more you know valuable um then then some guys may make IT. So everybody that thought they are trying to trying to learn to play, but figure out how the coaches are communicating because the biggest thing for me was understanding what we were calling .
defences yeah what any is you need to he .
doesn't just yeah .
like he uses a numbering system.
How are identifying coverage? yeah.
How are I identifying the .
defeat of t i'm still get poison on ship.
No, you should have. And do you know why the numbering system with andy is like that? Instead of just sing over and under?
Yes, he tells you exactly what everybody's doing and tells you where everybody's gas.
Now the reason is not over and under is because it's easier for the guy putting in in the computer the numbering system was put in because instead of saying.
instead of saying on the way for documentation, it's all justify instead.
instead of saying underwing, they just have to put down twenty five. Instead of saying everything, they just had to put down five, nine. So like now I got ta relearn all this ship because you guys just don't want.
what did you find this out? I haven't thought that. I haven't thought this deep into IT, but that's a later, this a theory. Or did you actually ask why we why .
isn't so one of the coach, I said that's why they get originated as because guys, when they were inputting IT, wanted I mean IT laws to go through more place instead of i've going to write out full things.
So I think but it's not .
I thought they ended a good job of explaining exactly how IT happens. I got they're kind of over overplaying the difficulty of IT, in my opinion.
You're smart, dude. I've seen some guests. I ve seen people struggle with IT and i'm not in line. I ve struggled with the playback at times.
I mean, listen, I make mistakes anyway.
I think through through my first touch, we talked about IT on his podcast with tray wingo or his show with tray wingo. And yeah, was my first touch out of my career, but he was a preseason touchdown. And I was like, a two minute ill, he through me, two minute all go special, which is like a four verticals on mad I call the ball. And that was fucking nobody in front of me.
嗯。
good looking .
out is the .
first time I like, after nee surgery, I had actually like trying to like one away from a bunch of people trying to give out man I don't know.
like to run that fast.
haven't run that fast and set out to and and chase for breaking those things down to doing a great job of IT um and good luck to all the rockies trying to fish out the play hopefully um Jason game some conference would be fine.
Listen.
just I learned in two days, you'll I I learn the first .
install in two days, and then I just learn the next in all the next day, and then the next install the next. That's why like I and I like like dance. One of good point that you installed a multiple points installed IT all from square one one in the last season. They're going to reinstall .
IT at multiple times.
For many camps, they're onna. Reinstall IT again for the season like and then each game you're doing installed. So like yeah if you can't get IT after all these installs like I don't know what to tell you, your brother like.
We ve got to figure that out there. Get out. What are we doing at night?
Don't get wrong. There's gonna crazy situations that come up that you're gonna miss because you're not like aware of exactly what to do in all these situations.
Yeah I mean, that's what you need. The rips. Yeah, that's what you knew, the rips.
But I think for the most part, learning IT is not that difficult. The biggest thing is like the terminal gy, that's the biggest and corporation all like Jackson. Like what do we call on this and what do we call on that and how are we talking about IT? And that takes a little bit to get .
used to just got to learn the terminal, to be able to communicate.
Maybe I think the only old playbooks I have from since ei, I have .
a good new .
ybor ks in Kelly playbook .
somewhere.
We had playbooks early when I was in in philly, but then we switched .
over I think is my dog was actually second or third year yeah in cc we started using IT the ipad that is yeah .
I think dog might have in the first one that IT was all ipad. Maybe we had physical ones, I don't know. I always prefer to physical like playbook b is .
also have physical one for there's something about like .
turn on the papers and so like that, that it's just like easier for me to take in. And I the ipad, but by the time with the ipad, I I never looked at the playbook one time.
Yeah.
you big note guy, this is once the last time you actually looked. I not looked at a playbook. I mean, in years you started three times a year.
Your entire you got ta look over you. You got to look over your your work.
You you had the same titan coach, the head coach like you're not installing anything new .
and you're going to go .
over IT in the meeting.
No, you're going to go over in the meeting. Meeting every year is got a fucking .
no cards that are like, yeah, little nods.
What's so many new ones already? We've got like a hundred new plays that we've just been installing in the all season.
You are over exaggerating this.
No, i'm not. We might not use all of them right now, but he's definitely installing them and like seeing like which ones he likes and which ones like pet feels most comfortable with and which ones look good on on on film.
Well, it's different in the past game. In the wrong game, there's like maybe like four, five new concepts a year .
we are in there's brother .
in a counter inside zone. Outside zone, well, we've got to lead head. We're going to fall back down.
And there I could. I ve heard inside zone installed a fucking thousand times. And I always hate the way the playbook installs IT.
That's another reason I don't look at the playbook is because it's fuck you, stupid like nobody in their right mind goes out there on inside zone. He says, place side gap. Common number two, like, no mother fucker.
The center gotto go there. I got this mother fucker. Oh, the tackle was going on there. I like, i'm not going through like the .
playbook definition line is the fifth we a .
but that's just okay. Run inside zone. Where's the first fucking here? You're double into that guy. You guys figure the rest out.
Like you said, it's just it's just for communication when you come off the field, that's all that's all it's for. It's just because .
they have to have IT and they have to have a beginning point. But like once you've already learned IT enough, like i'm not going to go back in learn the other way and it's I fucked up as I know it's not out this is like this as I fucked i'm not thinking of like that you know me yeah do you think about both rats? Similar like how many times is there on a playbook itll be around when you're breaking at whatever yardage but in your head, you know that like this guys.
you know mean i'm barely i'm barely ever not running what's on the paper. Like you barely .
ever not running what's on the .
day I always running is on the paper.
If IT tells me, are you stocking for shading?
Who are you both to me, just do coja wants me to do not fucking doing anything else .
but even the ones where you're not francy like how many times is IT for all of the guys? I know you're fuck, but how this is general question.
There's no, there's no just like freeLance, there's times where I get fuse and I just I end up in the right place at the right time.
We get back what for .
everybody .
like any extra ver, how many times is he on paper IT says to run IT in and break at ten, but everybody just knows that if it's this coverage, you're going to push IT, it's like to twelve or you're going to do this.
I mean, that's every single row in the playbook that's i'm saying yeah, IT needs to be that. But if we're going to run rose ver sale, you Better fucking and run to like that like to sell on the paper, like there's nobody out there. I'm run exactly like .
the paper .
just so we can get timing. I can feel what what the timing feels like, like me running hidden the break or like you know getting to a certain part field um as as the counter bax are again ready to deliver the ball. That's that's what you really need.
That's when like you do and routes on air, you're just working in the all season you see pat throne with the wider servers with no defense. That's what you're getting down. You're getting down the timing that meet that it's taking for you to get the ball on this certain play.
You really mean, I think that's the biggest thing. And those those lines those lines on the paper are like that. That's essentially why there there obviously every single route in my mind, every single route has to change depending on what covers were running IT against.
Yeah, I guess this is getting in what I think i'm trying to get that and I think you're saying I really about my biggest advice to all the rookies learning these plays and learning your playbooks for specific place. Try not to learn your job. Try to really think of the play as a concept and understand what's happening because you shouted go on a field and think i'm the guard, 哎呀, my place, I gap, come on. Number two or one on a is on a zone play like you should think.
like this is weak inside zone.
And this is how we're going to run IT. Like I am going to step with my place, I foot. But if the center calls this carbo, I am learning on that one.
If the tackle needs help, i'm going to indicate his like you need to think about what is happening in the overall structure of the play and that will help you regardless of what the fuck playbook says. I'm just being noticed like it's more important that you understand what were trying to accomplish as a unit than what your rule says. And in that like sheet, you'll naturally .
with reps get and understand those rules. You'll run something the code to come over to you say, hey, if it's covered too or it's this certain covers, I need you to run IT like that yeah as long as you're open ears on the pages field, you're present while other guys are running routes.
And when you're when there's a film after practice and you're watching the film and everything and you you just be open years and how everything's being taught to everybody in the room. You know like i'm listening to coach, read, talk to the running backs about you know foot in in the run gamer, i'm listen to the i'm listening the coat check and how he's teaching these tackles to polar how he's teaching these tackles know square up a guy in the in the past. I'm listening to everybody because I know that I there's always a chance and i'm going to be put in a position like that and I want to be ready for IT. As long as you're open ears and your understanding like the grand scheme of thing, what the team is trying to do, I think it's like you said, you'll learn those little indications of like the difference like of like running around versus a certain coverage, you're naturally just going to develop that instinct. But understanding the grand scheme of things from the install that was I think your your dead with you're spot on with that one yeah we .
have one play that start still does not right rules for and is the funniest thing in the world he stalled in every time is yeah it's run IT is like, I don't really know what's a write down for rules so I just write down this but everybody can knows .
what they we ve got a little teach day for you guys this week and um this is perfect. This is me being an absolute idiot and just mean at the right place at the right time.
Jason H, I love you.
I love IT. This week we're breaking down one of my catches from last year playoff games. We kind of talked about IT, uh, after the bottom more game last year in the playoffs.
Teach tabors brought to you by simply safe. There's no safe like simply safe. Let you go. That's good clip from at embry guy travis, crazy catch against the ravens and A O, C. Check game, yeah, well, you see me circle right there.
So I guess let's start me third five.
basically a three by one, a common formation in our office. This was a play that had a kill to IT. So pat, actually, in the huddle, gave us two place. There was the first play and then he was.
And then if he sees the covers that likes and wants to change the play to the second call in the in the actual call in the hudson, he'll come out to the line and tell us he'll give us a signal or say a word that then changed the the passing concept to another play. I was thinking I was a different play. Yeah, then you got up my homes just back there with his eyes on.
You'd run around for his life and just put the ball out there. There's really no teach tape rather than when pama homes has the ball. Do not give up on the play.
That's that's the biggest teaching point here. You ve got ravens guys running into each other. You ve got our offense of line. Nicki.
great doing this to work in their yeah.
they're blocking their s off right now and i'm over here, pick on my nose, not known what i'm doing and then yeah, once you like, I peg like, oh, shit, you needs me yeah so I started running around right at the last second right before packets his knife ce chapped out from under on my kind of spring loose are at least gip between my man. In pat, so I can kind of box them out for the catch. This is crazy right here. The fact pad even throw this ball, uh, with the defenders back to is that .
why he's doing that? Because like you're really not that opened, he just knows because the defenders back assume that you're going to have a chance to make .
a Better plan to ball the notorious for a lot of a lot of quarterbacks sure defenders back to you um and my eyes on him. I think that's an advantage for us, especially a guy with a ARM like Peter. Um any of the really good court of us they can just place IT yeah so and if I was third down, he wanted to give us a chance. He knew he had no chance like getting the first one with his legs at this point he's got all all four or five defenders on.
We know that there's a kill involved. You miss the kill. You're run in the wrong play. Let's take an opportunity to talk about scrap joke because that's really what this turns into right is like it's .
a broken play yeah like so each play doesn't know where to go. We are talking about the timing of the play. Typically seven step drop from underwater is like seven step in a hit.
You know that's that's the longest pats going to like let us play develop essentially a corner bags is onna. Let a play develop. You'll go through your progression, seven step drop, five, five and a height, five and two hits.
Es, and all the sudden Clarks ticking depends of line is like they're rush in the past, right? I gotta make a decision. I ve got to go somewhere, hit the check down, get out of the pocket to try and make something shake or just take off in my legs.
So the counter back after that seven step dropped after like that, the initial play is over with. Now i'm onto A A completely different mindset as a scrambler as as a guy with a broke downplay IT becomes more of like backyard football where ah you've got to understand the coverage and where guys are at in terms of like what the past concept is. But I knew that I screw up to play initially.
So i'm kindly just like feeling out like where everybody is pat kind of starts to get on run is just like art. Just let me give him somewhere to throw the ball some like see which which way he's rolling out, see where everybody else is, is a man? Is everybody last down? Is anybody last down to me in terms of defensive cover? Is somebody? And I just in Frank, Frank air, you know, can I find an open space somewhere on the field? You try not to have your eyes.
Leave the courter bag just in case. Like, no, he wants you right now. But there are times kind of pick around and see where everybody else is.
That like I was doing here. I'm not going to take credit for this. This was, I actually, I hate. I hate that people give me quit. I was a great .
time catch and a catch.
but I completely screw pat over. I'm supposed to be coming over the middle here on time and pets, just like kind of waiting for me to get open over the middle, the field. I'm run in the wrong out. So I am, I hate this is even a teach tape thing. If anybody watching this, uh the the teaching lesson would be, one, never give up on a play when pa pa home says the ball and two, getting your fuck and playbook travers.
This things you, if you can watch one movie, hey, you wanted to come this time.
you. Might wanna hold on, why get all your holiday decorations delivered through installed because maybe you only bought two weeks but have twelve windows or maybe your tid ler got very eager with the event calendar or maybe the inflated able snowman didn't make IT through the snowstorm or maybe the twinkle lights aren't twinkling, whatever the reason this season in start here for host and their whole holiday hall, get decorations from the home deepo C, V S and more through installed and enjoy free delivery on your first three orders. Service fees in terms apply.
It's time for all of the house .
who got and you get the houses again.
we did we actually to the shore, but we're going to talk about the one everybody wants to know about that tram has got out of the house if you're not going .
to believe IT haven't been in the house. Yeah, this isn't even my house. We can all a random theater, some litter on the west coast. Yeah.
never you will never find IT .
you never find me.
I'll have a before that you stopped by dallas this week. That's right. Yeah, you not by delis to watch the .
stars in to a playoff.
Dhl western conference finals. Stars first see others.
Yeah, both western cover finals.
Yes, started with the stars how the game go. Was that a good game?
IT was awesome. The stars came out scoter early. Uh, so ted edmonton literally seconds after they score their first goal, h edmonton came back and like through one of the night um and then he was kind of a dead period. The stars were just knocking at the door of the entire game though he was so much fun IT was like you they had at the end your seat the pocket is just like slow motion pits across bar like kind of just goes across the crease, nobody in front of the net IT was like that the entire night.
And then finally um they started cleaning up some of the some of the rebounds, some of the shots around the night put two and had they had an empty netter, they pull the goal and had had like a almost a full full length empty netter. Really yeah, he was also a fun. He was a fun.
He was a fun time. I'll tell you what my dallas I know you aren't big fan of the cowboys and all that that that city just is so much fun. Man is such a IT is man IT is somebody .
everybody everybody .
was fuck and awesome running into people um before the game during the game, even after the game um at all the restaurants and kind of had like a little pre game with my guy black bell in the game um before that before the N B A game are the math game and um just everybody was awesome made and the dala is is about a legible a sports town as a gift man, that both those games um had the arena absolutely rock and man and that was was a time of hockey. Man is nothing ya who .
so much fun who you .
end up at the booth with .
and not I saw cohan les was up there in that thing set out to call a right into .
shambo a guess some free time from the the live tour yeah IT was IT was a good time we after have so fun and got to meet Martin COO all time stars going legend in the in the stars of organization and oh yeah ran in a dirk novick baby no wiki wiki I everyone I don't know how you perhaps the man but dirk is she's the man do is the coolest dude you could ever meet um got to talk to him about a lot of the a lot his chair ship runs and just how much of a fan I was and yeah that was cool me man he is enormous me being, as you would expect a seven food food be but always shocking when you walk up on one of .
those yeah did so big .
yeah um yeah was the star's game was funding well, I guess mean.
dirk might have been a little bit of four shades. You ended up at the mavs walls game the very next night which one was more fun? The mavs game or the stars?
Man, as much as I love play of hockey, that fucking man was me. He was IT was so good in, dude, Carry out their drop in thirty in the maxon's men. Dude, so good men, listen, man, I couldn't be more happy reform the way his career has been obviously bring a championship to clive in and um the option down.
He had not only in lively but boston in new york and all that whatever happened he's killing IT and he looks like he's enjoying the fuck out of IT him and look one of the best combos i've ever seen on the court. I mean, they just the team compliments each other so well and the math really did a great job put that team together. Uh P J.
Washington, a great piece for them. Um and then on the other side, man, the walls are a dangerous fucking team. Each one of these games have been so glad I am good. You can't say enough about what Anthony Edwards, a type of baseball player dog, when he rose up and had that dunk.
And I think he was like the third quarter, oh my fucking gosh, I I haven't seen athleticism like that yeah the debate, that guy on a football field oh my fucking gosh, there's no yeah I wouldn't be fair. So what fair that do fucking took off from what I felt like twelve fifty feet away from the rim, and was still elevate when he dunk the ball. IT was unbelievable.
Man, the match game was after hook. The walls are such a good team. And galaxy, just pay for all this at the end, at the end of baseball games.
Men, we had an interesting reception on the jumbo on with PS couples fans were not a too happy. But I got twice what I.
I, I get. I'm not from dallas and just kind of like an innocent bystandard. Oh, no, maybe they don't know. May be they don't know. They just don't like to cheese out.
They were shown. You be shown pat too.
right? You know they're throw the name underneath and I trying to specify who who they're showing like they showed me. I got caught off got because I was trying to take a self e with some people around me. And then pat, like, kind of like to me, was like this. I was like, oh, SHE had on the judge N D of the, I just, oh.
should have get bed. Okay.
this is a nice thanks. Nice to see guys that appreciate the warm welcome. And then they showed ad everywhere, like, but in the world did I grew up a huge Jason witten appreciator, the cowboys were always the fuck.
And boys, when they had dian and and amid tude, I, fuckyou. And I used to want to beat the stars, men, stars I used. So you want to be a star? I did. You want to be a little star, but I also want to to be a cobol there.
Stars stop in that. Would you never wanted to be a cowboy? why? Why would you wanted to be a cowboy?
Because they were fun as held the team, big personalities, what team back in the nineties and .
the and the nineties, they were not bad, never good. The unities.
but like I just remember, haven't like actual figures of like the stars. Which ones I just named them?
All the ones you named weren't on those teams.
which was around on those teams. and.
Can we do a money? And I with them.
heard of them. Are you trying to call my bluff right now that this never happened? Never happened.
You never want.
I did. I did. I fucked IT up to now.
They fucked IT up. You think up anything now I don't.
I fuck the interview. I aggression. And I think I also might need to find an outlet because I got like, fifty .
percent is there?
Yeah, shut off the dallas. I had a fucking in blast. Love the N, H, L and N, B, A western conference finals and always good to see uh when you go, uh you know and or somebody else is a in A H to see that thing actually rock in in the home home team, I got to win.
So I was ruined for the dallas dala stars for sure the maps and timer wolves, all kinds tween. But I can't fuck and root against, uh, Carry and look at, man, those these are awesome. I was more there for a good time at the maps game. But I was I .
was cheer on the stars was I didn't know you the same exact height is luca. What is this listed height?
He's, I mean, he's party six six big. Do think he's gaming .
by little bit. And you guys are the same height.
Basketball an brother, right?
These basketball be, listen their .
heights because .
I was thought you would be too short to play like like the three position in in the NBA like nb is three is like a legit six seven and six eight, right?
Yeah, yeah. They all said you'd be too short to play center.
Maybe maybe we fucked the sub. You be the NBA right now.
I be I can be somewhere overseas playing .
because you you .
just for kind .
of italian just.
yeah well, six, four and seven.
that's what the kind of my yeah, but that's a six round up at eight of an inch. Look, six, seven if you're six, four and seven days .
who he was just chilling. He was like, he was right here. He wasn't like standing all the way up. I here. great. Do though. And James.
get out house.
We can. We went to C, L. We definitely .
went to see out what's the beach and lot from the curls eight bunch of beach food night. Yeah a really .
a great time we go nice man. Glad you guys get over to the short man .
I miss for this was good to be out there the first really big weekend of the year. Um so all the businesses are back up and running so I can never lift.
Guys went over the uncle bills.
How do you hear that? How to do that?
Listen, I got eyes where baking time out.
Who told you .
we are going over bills? yeah.
I got eyes everywhere.
I S and cakes in the land. They argue, pancakes. Which one were you at? I know there.
There's a couple of them move there. Yeah, we used to go to ogle bills. I was in stress mere.
And then that one close. So now we either have to go to avalon ocean city. So we went to go over an avalon this week, made the trip of the .
sage of now I had to pay a dollar .
ah had to pay every year that is think it's too they might update, I don't know. We get .
the res get in, fucked in pricy the .
seven miles special with .
fitting box I paid IT try .
out the uncle bill.
everybody at the shore and make sure you guys get fired up for that bear. Do let's move on some no dumb question, no one questions because there is no such thing is done. Questions, just dumb people like to the one you stand out right now.
No one questions brought you by uncrossable les, the best part of the sandwich. How about that from a heather on threads? Um if you can temporarily live in any board game joe mani style, like the movie IT comes the life, which game would you choose? This is actually pretty good .
question. I'm gonna ahead and say thank you. I'm already I feel like i'm not to be like way I feel like you think we're already .
doing older yeah the older I, the more I understood. Oh, wow, this is like the light game.
Oh, now I get IT battle ships will not be fun. What did you do not want to be on a figure? Naval war sunk.
The thing is, is that penal ship is just a it's just a guessing game. Yeah there's no real like strategy. Is this kind of like I don't .
want to live in IT, I don't want to get sunk and then drown and then sound fun? I got out on I the ones that i'm not going to risk .
your battle ships.
i'm ready to doing that once you need to go there. Which one would be fun to go to? I think you strike me as a guy that would love to go into clue.
I did love that fucking again.
Grown up. You love murder mysteries. Yeah, you be all over trying to figure .
out who done kill, kill Jason, the basement with the sort.
I know, I know, I know, I know the girls would all prefer Candy land.
That's where .
they would want to go. Yeah.
I can do that much Candy.
That's Operation OA on or get Operate. No.
