This book is extremely well written. However I do ... This book is extremely well written. However I do NOT understand how you can go from page 32 to page 65 continue all the way through page 96 and then randomly pick back up at page 33. I spent 30 minutes reading when I realized that the chapter I was reading was not the correct one.

From visionary's dream to global reality in one liftme . An amazing example of how one human being can change the world Amazing story, told in easy to understand style. A description of man's ability to change the world, one idea at a time.

Just do it! David Hoffman began his career not as a journalist but as a political organizer and activist. This goes a long way toward explaining why "Citizens Rising" reads more like an adventure story than a conventional history. "Citizens Rising" begins in the Kremlin during the Cold War and follows the story of the worldwide media-driven struggle for democracy up to the present day. As one of the first and most influential of the citizen diplomats, Hoffman has had a front row seat on--and a hand in--events that are reshaping our world. This is a book for those who believe that issues of war and peace are too important to be left to politicians and diplomats. By taking a road less traveled, Hoffman's life shows how visionary individuals, operating without portfolio, can nonetheless catalyze political and social transformation. Read it not only to understand the indispensable role of journalism in the spread of democracy, but also to see how the infectious, can-do enthusiasm of one individual can bend the arc of history.
