Members Reviews: LOOKING FOR PURPOSE? Read this book. Would you listen to Wrecked again? Why? YES. I will listen again! Wrecked is good coaching on HOW to live. I need reminding, regular reminding. I will listen, am listening, again. What was one of the most memorable moments of Wrecked? The reason we do humanitarian work is to feel better about ourselves. Right? NO philanthropy is not self-medication. Compassion means, "suffer with". "It will hurt a little, maybe even a lot." We find purpose in suffering. Which character as performed by Jeff Goins was your favorite? Jeff's sister Marissa, her collage experience, wanting to find purpose and find it without failing in the process. I get you Marissa. And Dustin in the chapter The Great Cliche. If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be? Find yourself, the self you were meant to be. Any additional comments? Buy it. Then, do it.

Goins speaks from the heart Conversational style interspersed with stories that illustrate his points about life-alerting circumstances plus invite you into the moment. He spoke from his experience but also used stories from others which helped me identify with the people & situations of becoming wrecked for ordinary life. He gives clear direction and encourages others through their seasons of life.

Jeff I think you should have got another reader. I enjoyed the story overall. Jeff has a good command of English and I respect his Writing. Hopefully the youth take heed of your wise words. For me personally I have been wrecked a whole lot in my Lifetime. Nothing new here for me author needs another reader.

Oops. Not my cup of tea. Way too churchy....if only I'd known I would have saved my money.
