Members Reviews: Quick read but not much depth I bought this looking for ideas of how to spend a free day and a half in Berlin before meeting a group. There were many good suggestions of things to see and do, all with links to maps and websites. For someone unfamiliar with the city, the maps weren't much help because I had no idea how far various sites were from one another. It would have been helpful to have one city map with all the places marked. Also, for some reason, the author avoided saying that the Berlin Wall was built by the Russians to keep the East Berliners captive. Not sure what his motivation was there. I could not tell what budget level his hotel or restaurant suggestions were aimed at, but there were very few of them.

A historic city with fascinating sights and beautiful architecture it is definitely worth visiting Berlin, and this is the ultimate guide with which you will experience the most out of the city, and your stay will be an amazing one! Getting your way around will be very easy and it is worthwhile to have this book at hand.

Beautiful Berlin I heard so many beautiful things about Berlin. I'm considering to go to this wonderful place. After I read this book, it seemed I'm in Berlin already. The overview of the city is just fantastic. It really creates interest in me to go there soon. This book will definitely be my guide.

Why Vienna? I want to know about Berlin, not Vienna! I thought this book was a waste of money. Don't waste yours.
