Here's your TMB Tech Minute for Monday, June 30th. I'm Katie Dayton for The Wall Street Journal.

Mark Zuckerberg today announced a new division within Meta Platforms, designed to formally organize the company's recent AI recruiting blitz. Meta Superintelligence Labs will be led by former Scale CEO Alexander Wang as chief AI officer, while former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman will lead the company's work on AI products, according to an internal memo seen by the Wall Street Journal.

The new unit will house Meta's fundamental AI researchers, as well as the teams that build the company's Lama models and develop Meta's AI products.

Apple said users in the European Union won't be getting some of its planned new features on schedule, blaming the region's Digital Markets Act. The law is designed to curb the market power of large tech companies, but Apple said the regulations make rolling out new software features more complicated and open users up to privacy and security risks. An EU official said the regulator and Apple are divided on the scope of the DMA.

And finally, meme stock darling Robinhood is offering European investors the chance to trade more than 200 US stocks and exchange-traded funds over a digital ledger. The company also said it is developing its own blockchain, which will go on to record transactions for so-called tokenized stocks. Robinhood's push into crypto comes as Bitcoin is trading near its recent record. The company is betting the new products will play a part in transforming the company into a central hub for digital assets.
