Good morning, this is Send7, world news in 7 minutes. I'm Juliette Martin and today is Monday the 30th of June 2025, starting in Asia and Oceania.

In Israel, the newspaper Haaretz has reported that Israeli forces were ordered to shoot Garzons seeking aid at distribution sites, according to Israeli soldiers.

The newspaper also estimates that almost 100,000 people have been killed in Gaza. This is more than the number reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry and is around 4% of Gaza's total population.

United Nations Chief Antonio Guterres has said that the United States aid operation is endangering people's lives by channeling civilians into militarized zones. Any operation that channels desperate civilians into militarized zones is inherently unsafe. It's killing people.

It's time for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and full, safe and sustained humanitarian access. The problem of the distribution of humanitarian aid must be solved. In Hong Kong, the League of Social Democrats says it will disband over, quote, immense political pressure.

Police intervened in the protests, detaining several participants. Wojcik said the protesters, quote, wanted to topple Serbia and they have failed. Africa

Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo have signed a peace agreement in the United States. Conflict between the two countries has killed thousands of people and displaced hundreds of thousands this year.

In Uganda, incumbent leader Yoweri Museveni has said he will run in next year's presidential election. Museveni has ruled Uganda since he seized power in 1986. Rights activists have accused him of using security forces and patronage to extend his rule, though he denies this.

The election will take place in January. The Americas The United States will pause trade talks with Canada until certain taxes are dropped, according to United States President Donald Trump.

Canada, Brazil, Australia and a number of European countries issued a statement supporting LGBT rights on Saturday, marking Pride Day. The statement said the countries "are speaking and acting as one to champion the rights of LGBTQI people,
