South Korea's military says it has suspended loudspeaker broadcasts near the border with North Korea. Nearly a year ago, South Korea resumed the targeted broadcasts, which include propaganda and K-pop.
When President Lee Jae-myung took office earlier this month, he promised to restart dialogue with North Korea, including suspending broadcasts to ease tension. In the Philippines, prosecutors have said that the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte must go ahead after the Senate returned the case to the lower house on Tuesday.
Critics have said the decision to return the case is a betrayal of the constitution.
In Australia, a second IVF mix-up has happened at a top IVF clinic. A patient was mistakenly implanted with her own embryo instead of her partner's embryo last week. This follows a mistake which led to an Australian woman giving birth to a stranger's baby in April.

In South Africa, floods in the eastern Cape province have killed 49 people, according to authorities. Heavy rain and snow disrupted transport and power networks earlier this week. A school bus was swept away by floods and eight bodies were recovered.
Kenya's President William Ruto has said that blogger Albert Ojuang died in custody, quote, at the hands of the police. According to police, Ojuang was arrested on Friday for allegedly defaming the deputy police chief online.
Reports say he suffered wounds including a head injury, neck compression and soft tissue damage, which the autopsy team said suggested assault was the cause of death.

United States President Donald Trump says that a trade deal has been done between the United States and China.
Negotiators agreed a framework for a trade truce and agreed to remove Chinese export restrictions on rare earth minerals and other industrial materials. Trump said tariffs on China will be 55% and 10% on the United States.
The United Nations Agency for Migration says that 1.3 million people in Haiti have had to leave their homes in the last six months due to armed violence. This is an increase of 24% since December and the highest number of people to ever be displaced by violence in Haiti, according to the agency.
Armed gangs control 85% of the capital, Port-au-Prince, according to reports.
And in Mongolia, a new dinosaur has been identified. Canculum mongoliensis lived around 86 million years ago and was a predecessor of the Tyrannosaurus. It was around 4 metres long and weighed 750 kilograms, making it smaller than the Tyrannosaurus rex.
