right? What is up? People of the internet? Welcome back to another episode of the way form podcast, where host David week, I like our topic list.

We've got a bunch of random stuff. They all are really interesting topics. Tesla next generation charges are about to get a lot faster and probably more compatible for lot of cars. A google is pressuring developers to make tablets, versions of apps finally and google assistant and google .

assistant might .

be getting a general AI support, which could be really interesting because it's also rumors about and a bunch of people uh, also the next iphone might be titanium and much more expensive. The talk about IT. But first, the last day we put out of was I finally reviewed my roof.

Never thought that would be a something, but it's a tech roof. It's a solar roof. It's tesla solar panels that have been on my roof for twelve four months yeah for completely different seasons of performance.

Um and I put the video out IT was actually really interesting. I didn't know how to package this video. I'm just like I put to get this whole video, it's thirty minutes long.

What do I tittle this? What do I do? I just title IT tesla solar room for you. Does anybody even care about the tesla solar?

Turns out everyone Carried about .

the test was fascinating, seeing in reactions, actually in real time when I first publish video and we'd worked for like the last the final hour on the thumbnail and IT goes live and I think after the first hour was like A A seven or eight at a ten like that about right for a roof ah and at a time on this, but it's the roof yeah who's gona care about this? And I think I answer the comments for a little bit.

I drove home when I got home eight, and then I looked at the youtube began and IT was at three, at ten. Like all people are actually like sort of it's like picking up a little bit steam went to sleep, woke up the next morning. I was a one at time.

It's been one at a time. Yes, I was trending people there's like ten thousand comments on IT. People are very interested.

Uh the summary is, um I mean watch the video if you really want to know a lot about this roof, we get into the weeds, the numbers, the details, uh, on the payback period, the costs, the durability, the performance, the easter eggs, the snow sheet sliding off my roof and blocking my front door, all that stuff. I think the number one comment that I mostly got was, oh my god, to use a lot of electricity. And I was like, well, yeah, I do.

I haven't. The main source, the main draw electricity for me is driving every single day and electric car and not a particularly efficient one. It's a it's a tesla model s plaid everyday. It's like kind of a lot of energy um but yeah generally I learned a lot about not just how much electricity I use, but how much each of the things in the house uses, how much IT uses a different parts of the day, different seasons, how much A C users in the summer versus how much appliances you used during the day. I was just is an interesting experience and I felt the need to summarize IT also out there.

I want to say that I am very happy that the city did well because often there is an inverse relationship. But twin, the amount of effort you put into something and how well IT performs is true. And especially is something like this that like you can get really nerdy into if you really are interested but also like it's a pretty niche topic and maybe not a lot of people are going to like this.

Yeah you're file link is going to generate a lot of sales yeah .

but IT feels good to have something like a roof.

Well, yes, I sound like a .

year like researching and I did a long time .

and I wanted to review IT after like a month or two but I was like, well, I know that I read a lot about like how different seasons will go. So like I really need take notes for the next like twelve months on how this goes. So that's what we did.

Also, there's not a lot of product that you review that you need explainer before you review them. yeah. So this is one of those words like most people will will never buy this or even think about buying this, but need to understand IT before I review IT. So that was the first part of the video. I think doing .

all the seasons with IT is also a great like it's really important have that data yeah. So also, I think that tesla name probably helped check IT up definite .

and IT ends up in the title of of the title shout out to the brand for on that time he came up with like the Green tiles and stuff like ah yeah fun, in fact, is the best month of the year in new jersey for solar is may who know like that was IT was a combination of like most of the days and make like you can see in the graphs that April showers bring may flowers.

You can see a go from cloudy every other day to Sunny every single day, and they except one. And then funny ough june and july rec. We get thunder storms. We also get a lot of heat. And potentially that reduced the efficiency of the panel just and stuff.

We learned something interesting because I would always think that like U. V energy would be.

what would you need? The sun? Therefore there he, therefore that feels weird, fiction, ency and and I themselves .

and efficient. There are some really, I think I learn love in the comment. There are some people saying, basically, like you might get about the same amount of hours of some, but at twenty degrees less temperature in may, which is actually Better for the panel. wild? yeah. o. Craze.

yeah.

cool.

I feel like that video does well too, because not a lot of people have access to stuff like this. Like not everyone's gonna have a solar roof. And if they do, they're gonna point a camera and like make a youtube video about IT here, a few and far between.

This is one of those products where and this happens a few times where before I buy IT, I believe i've watched every single video on youtube that come about the product from owners. I think there's about fifteen yeah, which is really fascinating. Some are from roofers, some from buyers .

is also one where like the thumbs really tough. And I think having an establish channel then like helping automatically reach some people helps that because like we were looking at other times, I was like, man, yeah, this just looks like a roof. There's a the downside of having solar metals that look like group tiles is the youtube them know you make about your roof later really suffers yeah 明白 了 it's .

yeah that's that's super true。 But you know there are a lot of comments about people who are like, I work in solar and this this was an accurate, fair, good explain or represent. I'm going to show this video to people I work with stuff like that.

So even if it's not like a bunch of new people buying solar, IT is a bunch of new people understanding solar. I thought that was worth IT. But speaking of tesla, one of the first topics we want to talk about is tesla is next generation super church are, I guess, around the corner.

So v four super charges. So for those who are in tesla world, we can refer to super charges as like v one, v two and v 3。 V ones being like seventy five kilowatts, v two being up to one hundred fifty kilowatts, sometimes one seventy five, I think.

And then v three is being the fast ones up to two hundred and fifty kilowatts. That the really nice new fast super charges with the thin cables and everything. And if you can find one of those on the map, take IT is the only way you're going to get miles charging and .

they don't split energy like it's another one. The b 2s they kind of suck because you can get the whole hundred fifty kilowatts of your ah if you're just don't have someone next to you in a stall next to you。 But if someone parks next to and plugs in its splits, the energy so you only get like seventy five yeah so it's to always get two fifty really much if here.

if you're the only lap of charger at A V two and so one puls up in parks next year, like what are you doing? Do you doesn't know how this work? Yeah so yeah, v three is they don't have to split any more.

Everyone gets full power. So that looks like there's a new proposal for A V four super charges that puts them at three hundred fifty kilowatts, which is great because that would be in of the cars support in the future. That's that's literally a thirty percent improvement for max from charging power and also potentially a much longer cable. So that's going to be important in this world that we're about to enter where there is a variety of shapes and sizes of cars that put the charging poor in different places that are organic. Start using the super charge.

We saw riviere trying to charge kind of a disaster.

There was tough for the f one and fifty eight on the car. Again, there's going you know differences and where they put the port on the car. So I think there's going to be a weird gaps. And like up, two people are next each other, but they're both unable to charge with something like that.

This longer though? Yes, so so maybe is as long enough for everyone to pull in ford, because the idea is someone put the port at the front of the car, like the f one fifty lighting the portion I can. Some of them put the port at the back of the car and like audience and portion, some others are portions at the front. But the ideas, if people are facing opposite directions, there's going to be weird. Gaps were like people park next to each other, but they both were intending to use the same charger.

Um so maybe .

if the cable is long enough, you can reach the back of any car and therefore everyone can park like back in facing the same.

I guess what this doesn't say in the proposal is where IT gets placed because right now it's pretty much it's not placed in the center of the park is so this is in the center of every parkin's SPA. As long as you can reach, let's say that it's on the left. If the if we can reach the right side half point of the car, you should cover everything yeah right? If you are in the center of a pot, as long as you can reach the opposite side center of the longest car you can have, that you should be able to get front or back.

IT won't mean that, oh, I will reach everything, but I won't me that everyone can face one direction.

No, no, no. I I think that's a tall task. You really cable would have .

to be like twenty every car. Yes, that's yeah. I mean, that's Better .

than v two or v three. So for a three fifty kilos hour right now.

you've basically only got the are very similar, right? So OK they might be wasn't the ironic the fastest charging?

I think the type can so just three fifty kilos, but the cyber theoretically if whenever comes out is also supposed to support three fifty kilo. So we'll get a slow transition of uh, v four charges, slow expansion of other cars, which is great because honestly, we need cars that can charge faster than they currently do. Yeah like we're trying to get to the point where you can just like gas nozze five minutes that that's the goal that .

is and I think that's a realistic goal. I think if you you drive electric log enough you to learn like the best habits for charging, like the lower your state of charge, the faster you will gain battery. But you're still no matter how good you are at IT, you're know where you're guests. Like if you have an empty tank and you .

plug in how we say, you just call the charging port the gas in the nazi and you just call gassing plugging in. Sorry, you guys like, did the word switch with each other.

How long does IT take to fill up A A .

hundred, one hundred four litera?

What do you like?

A huge sev or a truck? Yeah, there's definitely no more than five.

yeah. And if your max rain tank is like six .

hundred miles, or to .

be like that, like charging two hundred miles a minute, basically OK.

that's a good point because I like four hundred miles, so more than any so and you're doing faster yeah.

So if you want to measure against gas just in terms of how far you can travel and how little time IT takes charge, gas is approaching a thousand million hour. Yeah sorry. Electrics is is approaching a thousand thousand hour.

yeah. The charging rates. And gas is four hundred miles minutes.

Actually question for you guys. So like when I for the E V owners here, I mean, when I fill up my tank, I pretty much make sure that the tank is like as close to empty as I can be before I fill IT up. Are you guys ever letting IT like .

you're supposed to only charge when it's below twenty percent o if if .

you use a super charge. So if you are like sixty percent.

you're not pulling up to .

start charges. If you do in your house then it's fine. But in my Normal commute, because I just have a regular v two charger, whatever at home, A V two mining level, two, sorry, I get home at know seventy percent of whatever every day and I plug IT in every night and go back to up to ninety and I just like a Normal habit if you're road tripping um yeah you try to get as low as possible because that's number one when IT charges the fastest in number two, the most efficiently way .

to charge a few times as possible yeah so would you like let IT get low on a road trip and charge IT up to like sixty and seven and keep stopping more?

Yes, the charging curve is like from zero to eighteen can amp up, or zero to seventy issue IT emps up to like a thousand miles hour. Then IT dips to like seven hundred miles hour until like eighty, eighty five and then IT goes, really.

So you're doing a road trip, do you think you to one hundred percent every time?

Or because IT takes IT basic takes half an hour.

is to charge from like a zero to eighty percent and that takes a another half an our to get from eighty one years? yes.

Yeah, that's too bad.

Then it's not that as we saw on the road trip, like if you work that in with getting food and stuff, IT does actually take that much extra time. But you still do have to think about like, okay, what other things can I do while i'm charging my car? Like yesterday I roof this podcast while I churched .

my car so and even like on top, like if you think about that road trip, you guys were charging efficiently .

minus day .

one and even and smoke, smoke.

it's no charging car and .

we were thinking extra stops for food and like, yeah but again, we say, guys s all that the one thing I always think about that's off a road trip when you guys talk about like charging to fall and like every morning leave you in your house.

Just always plugged in when you get home. And IT doesn't matter that you're just trickling because in the morning you'll be at nine a hundred percent. When I had my garage of those paying three, fifty a month, four IT was like A I nearly never once thought about my range. yeah. And only now is my life.

Because not just nice waking up in the morning, no, you want to stop like never, but going home in being like so low. And I don't feel like stopping in the morning. So i'm gonna get us now. I know it's so little, but just like I just wanted get home and I just want to wake up the next morning.

That kind feels like A A wireless charger, like my crappy five, what charger? I just leave my phone on there and in the morning .

it's filled up .

the great analogy of like a wireless charge ready if you slowly doing IT, but like in a pinch of regular faster like this yeah like same in that scenario that so much nicer. But when you're just like paying attention all the time and it's sitting on the wireless charger at night.

it's just there. If my is like two hundred and months and not three fifty, I would seriously consider IT just for the ability to always although I charged my car yesterday and I cost me forty dollars to fill to fill IT to like ninety five percent .

yeah IT depends IT seems like sometimes IT is just expensive as gas let's getting to the point .

where I might be worth that for me to get the gauge again because I was feeling for free. And so also the time that i'm saving like the hour every week that i'm free .

charging out if you I think it's worth IT. So three, fifteen months yeah, that's probably how much I spent in electricity. And I don't know, I have to do the math, but that seems probably worth that, especially for the piece of mind, yeah, I have a place to park every day, which yeah, a place to park which is expensive in the city, and a place to get free electricity every day and wake up with a full baty day.

My car has cost me like so much money now. So why it's A I I more .

good question about this, and I don't think it's says he here. But at what point do we think these so we're going to be for they are going to start coming out. Do we think these are going to start replacing v one charges? Or do we think they're going na be full new? Because like even if you're replacing A V one, the infrastructure you probably need at this much different of a vantage is almost starting new. But like at what point you just not want v one charges anymore because .

they're just so so good question. I mean, v one is it's slow, but it's still much faster than any level two charger. So like seventy five kilowatts is like I would be kind of disappointed and pulling up and figuring out IT.

It's seventy five killed charge, but I do because a penge. Um I don't really know what test strategy is as far as installing new charges. This seems like there they're are launching new sites all the time.

Yeah and I don't really see too many v two being replaced by v series. I just seen new sites and their v series, so I don't know. I I would have to look at a map and like c oh IT, turns out they are replacing a bunch of v two with v three. I don't really know, but I think when they pull out before, I was just going to be .

able to a new sites I know is that they just onna need a lot of new charges as everybody starts transitioning to N I C S.

So they have told twenty twenty five the four are having .

the adapters, though that will come with the fords.

But I think it's like roll out because most people don't get new car is immediately like you'll slowly start to see IT roll out. And then in twenty, twenty five, twenty six, those those new cars will start hit in the routing as we start to see IT ramp up. So they haven't till then to really build a lot of new charges.

Yeah and other manufacturer that are not just true because they're just using the port. So like another part of this proposal is that uh, charge point six thousand series v charges will now be twenty two kilowatt. Two is an associated equipment cabinets. So basically so it's very slow yeah I mean, currently charge point is literally like that's .

like my home charges, basically. yes. So I mean.

there's gonna a lot of third parties that have also signed on to use A C S. They can also build IT out. Hopefully, they're reliable at all, unlike currently. So that call, we basically just need there to be like as many charges as there are gas pms. And yeah yeah.

this is happy here 说 you want to break this down。 It's sure it's about google and android and blue, my mind actually little .

bit yeah so google is actually going to finally start pushing android developers really hard to make apps have much Better large screens support yeah this only ever really happens if you're making your own product that does that think. And now that google has the pixel fold and the pixel tablet, they finally have all these large screen android devices. And I I really yesterday there are three of us in this office that are mainly inland, the pixel photo right now.

Fact, it's me, you and alex picking of just to bring a new voice into you. Alex got spot for this section.

And now so that I can cut to this camera angle.

alex is back. Well, wow, three pixel fold uses in one to room. How often does that to happen?

Look, let's put them more next to each other.

You have a case on yours. Actually, I do not. I just have a clean black. Or what color is yours actually is IT. Also.

I can see the gold one at six this weekend. Someone had to and yeah.

it's like a bronzy.

Yeah, it's a really, really pretty color.

So I get for being an early doctor.

I am putting the light. I'm going to put the light leather ivans get on this though. Excited for that. So now we've .

been using so i've had this thanks launch. We've had these ones for couple of weeks now. How long if you had pixel four? Alex OK, oh, h OK, I got mine like the .

ander june. okay. So had .

sort of money for like two weeks now. Yes, experiences, probably prose. Can things we like, things you don't like? The headline for this is that google started to push for developers to make more apps optimized for the inside screen. Yeah, I want to ask how much each of you are currently using the inside screen, because I still, to this day, I would say I use the inside screen ten percent of the time on this phone.

What about you? It's about action. Okay, I think I use the outside, but that's to me, that's a testable to how good the outside Green is. Yeah, I find IT very enjoyable. And that's like, like, so i've brought this up to Andrew.

I would be funny fees in the room that I could call on this but like he was like how you you're looking to so far and I was like, I find them using the outside screen a lot more yeah like probably like eighty five and nine person in the time and he was like, oh, good thing you ve got the phone with the giant screen on the inside. You cuse the outside screen all the time and I was like, no, but that sort of my I like that like, I tried using A Z fold and I didn't like IT because I didn't like the outside Green. And that was my biggest issue with IT. And because i'm like, you know, daily use, I want to just use the outside screen and we only get a text message of many stuff, whatever. But then like, for example, I told my mom about a trip I took to california the other day and I was like, oh yeah, here's some photos just like open this I can show you is not a big score and big bt screen yeah I mean.

I think .

that's the use case like using IT for like games, videos, know stuff like that. I would love if there was a little Better support for inside apps, like for certain stuff, but certain stuff is pretty enjoyable. Like if you open text mesage and hear from the google messages APP, if that's what you use, it'll automatically split screen. If you open a link, which is prefix, so then you can still have your messages open yeah on the side and then have like you will automatic pop open the .

links so that you there's cool little things. So if you're using google's own apps, I find see yeah a lot of google like youtube city IT doesn't IT, but a lot of googles own apps yeah have awesome experiences on the inside screen so for the next percent of the time.

But I use IT, which for me is like a web browsing emain people back i'll have all like reference we browser stuff and like flip back and forth the calendar imaging the counter or for whatever reason i'm in spread sheet all the time for like frisby team logistics spread sheets so just I just have IT I opened IT up there is like a big screen for that, great. But there are a lot of third party haps that just looked terrible on the inside screen. Yeah, instagram is kind of the most common one, which is hilarious because if you pull IT up on, let's say, an ipad, there is no ipad apps, so just a blown up iphone APP.

They stubbly don't do IT. What's funny is samsung will just like forced to fit on the inside screen. And IT looks like a stretch version, but IT looks, looks Better.

IT looks good. Verses on the pixel of fold, there are just columns on each side. There's a couple other apps like that. There are not updated. Do you have you played games?

So support inside? Yes, I I played some birds that were interest. I simply angry birds.

I love angry birds. IT works on there and looks pretty ool. That's the only game I played though.

Yeah, i'm not here to I don't do you do so from?

And oh, yes.

so what stuff do you do on the inside screen?

How to use the best? okay. So the best part of the inside screen is viewing photos is amazing. It's so cool because these phones have really great resolution anyway. And like viewing them on a huge Green school and then watching you two videos that are basically the .

two use cases that I found are useful to, like, have deo, I started doing that because of the aspect ratio. Yeah, I gonna have vessels, no matter black bars, no matter what. yeah. So I started like propping IT up on.

like I tried doing on the plane. I was like, I preferred just, I hold IT and watch IT. Ah, I don't love why. And with IT because I don't like split keyboards and like split typing with my fingers, like I don't have the like muscle memory to know where the letters are.

Do you ever do ever do this?

And behind the sideways? Yes, sometimes, but but yes, the watching youtube videos and doing photos part I think is really great. Um I think obviously IT makes sense to have IT be closed and just use IT closed all the time because the screen is higher quality. You don't get the division in the center. Um yeah I I will say I tried so hard to do the whole like two apps IDE by side like multitasking faster thing yeah and I found IT was more comber some than just using the quick, quick APP switch .

on the right. I think we're really used to like quick APP switching, and I still do that a lot on the outside screen IT just feels like the few times that I actually open up the pixel fold my brain goes h or doing something important here. I just start doing I take advantage of more of those features when opening the phone um so and I don't know that's like I I do wish some things different about IT, but I feel like I calib myself to that problem. I tried these the .

slit screen thing like I was trying to log into my air canada account. So I was like, oh, this is great because I have all like information for my airplane number and all the stuff stored in my google keep google keep on one half and and the air canada APP on the other have IT is just hard. I don't know, IT wasn't really Better.

I really like just multi tasking quickly. But I think the things I like the most about this one, the aspect action of the front screens, I like that closer to sixteen by nine. It's kind of fun like I throw back up and then just like yeah watching videos doing for the photos on the inside Green .

is really great know i've done on the insight screen that I feel that would be useful for you .

based stuff how I see .

how you use workflow technology on on your computer like like when you're researching instead doing a side by side google dock and web browser solid it's nice for like cutting and pasting, researching.

joining down notes. Whatever I think yeah I cutting and pasting left to write windows .

huge yeah and the teen, you going to be able to drag and drop text from one window to another, which is really cool. You want to do the whole copy pay.

you just drag IT. I did one thing recently in emails because if you want to attach multiple things to an email, typically in like a single screen phone and Normal phone, it's a Normal process in this phone. I had google photos on one half, and I had the emails on the other half, and I like selected a photo and then started selecting other photos. And I just dragged a handful over, and I just dropped them on the email and attached the mental list. And in that women, I was like, that's what I got.

That's that's what the worst part about this fun for me is that when i'm holding IT, the volume rocker is right, where my Thomas and I turned in the volume down all time by accident, when I have IT open energy, when I have IT open, if I have IT like this, i'll also turn to volume up or lock the phone really? Yeah.

either lock the phone or accidentally long president. And then like google system, what do you want? Like, nothing, nothing.

But let's talk about what google is trying to do or push these third party up. developers. okay. So they are now starting this month.

They said starting in August, starting yeah starting they're going to raise the visibility of apps that resides appropriately. Just starting yeah just to start doing that. Yeah uh, so they're going to basically make them part of the google play at her choice apps.

They're also going to display warnings on apps if they don't display well in large screens. Sick, which is kind of crazy. It's just going to be like, hey, if you use .

a tablets.

this is I I don't know that was specifically I something about like if you have an open and you're in google play, like if you're on a large screen mode in google play, it'll show the large screen screen shots. Where is if you're just clover? I just going .

to say I was saying, Andrew, hasn't apple been doing this for like nine years or something like when you open the APP store and ipad, there's a little filter at the top that says, would you like to see apps made for ipad? yes.

And that's how long as the ipad existed versus large screen and android phones.

Well, tablet android things, but android tablets like the motorola zoom that stuck in the day, there was a couple optimize apps there like gmail will put screen back in the day. IT just feels like they should have been.

Google just gives up on things so much like they meet honey calm, which was supposed to be like the tablet.

that the fork of android that became the tablet. H, H.

I love that thing.

but they made, they literally made one version of android that was made for tablets. I just gave up on IT.

Hello, I like blowing.

Yeah but now they are just put pushing that all in the android fa, which is good. Um there be an .

android fifteen. Where is this going? Stay with andy.

Or depends on how well the .

pix of old is a pixel fold too, which we don't know. Yeah, I would hope so.

Then that point there are Better has to be a two.

I don't know about the three.

but there has to be you say that, but this is google. We're talking about you like I agree with you, this is a first gentle you've got to see you through yeah second gens gotta .

in the works but yeah but there's a lot of products that there's a lot of apps that just like black bars on the sides, like x toter.

Maybe one of biggest answer you do. You guys see the ones that so like x, for example, is designed to be OK in this format, like the vertical. But then when you open IT on horse zon, tal IT takes up like just over half the screen. And that's for whatever reason that noise to crap at me IT takes up like a little more than what it's allowed. But then if you turn off the .

other way that .

does go full screen, it's weird. I never. So a hot tip to pics fold owners.

if you tell of .

three of them in the terms of the other four of you address, you directly .

look that going. So x think .

one, it's a sideways z fold. So yeah. So like this is A Z faut right here. If you turn the pixel fall on its side, and then this, if you turn the pixel fall, the way IT opens is as you .

focus because like you, you naturally open your phone like this. And to just have to do this for like most apps to make them actually think spring is not great. No.

it's nothing. yes. Yeah, I love .

that though. Reminds of an intendo idea or something.

Yeah, yeah. I'm like google doing that.

Hopefully IT actually makes a difference. Fingers crossed, doubt.

But we will see developers get on IT please again. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, let's take on the on the pixel fold.

I want everyone's favorite and least favorite thing about IT. Since I started using IT, you said that buttons were early favorite. Is that actually really favorite? Yeah, my Better life has actually been fine. Okay.

mine been I have done the traditional pixel curve of getting Better for me.

I ve waiting beta and that .

has some more battery enhancements and it's OK .

still cooking for me.

I don't know what's your .

favorite about IT. It's split between the aspect of the front screen, which is just kind of fun. It's just nice having a sixteen, nine, nine ask phone and then so just um doing youtube video on the inside screen.

Nice about you for me.

So I think is the outside screen too. That's the difference maker. I think that's that's why I went that's why I tried IT and then was like this is good enough to keep like .

I had every intention of potentially .

returning this just and like and and like honestly, I think the and like the size of IT is very pleasing for whatever reason like this sort of Andrew talks about IT with like the the zen phone on the if you strap this take on the podcast yet but like it's like I like having smaller phones that makes you want to be on my phone a little less, but in a good, you know. And this is like enjoyable to use. So I can use IT as much as I anna use IT. And yet having a slightly Green makes me be like, for whatever reason, just clicks on my head of like, oh, maybe I should not put my phone and enjoy life.

I think this is the proper shape for affordable, just like being you're gonna use IT close most of the time. But then when it's useful to open IT up, open IT up, samsung, which is like, this is a really awkward aspect ration until you have IT open.

it's like samsung focus first on the inside screen. And the outside screen was sort an awkward result. And this one felt like the the .

first generation fold that had like .

the and when you look at everyone like they didn't care about the outside screen, they care about the screen.

Outside screen is like the same size as like the other. Now pm one, yes, actually almost.

Take a video comparing .

the site is bigger than the pm phone, but IT is not everything.

I mean, I think it's just the lack of optimized APP so far on the inside. I mean, if I still feels early on, but this is the same feeling i've had with every google tablet i've ever had. I've tried to get on google tablet a few times.

And every time i've been like now, like, I had a galaxy tab a four, I think, and I I liked and I like dex. Dex was pretty cool. But like, I was like, just in a Normal android tablet application, this kind of socks and I I sort of feel similar.

Like I don't want to say that this socks on the inside, but it's not there yet. Like it's just IT feels too early. So like hopefully with this adding them incentivizing people to make the apps more optimized inside that help. But right now, that is like my least favorite software thing. And then the hardware thing is, is the bun policeman for sure, like IT.

IT is annoying that like because I do, I do use that like little hack of turning IT this way a lot and then I find like my piny is constantly hit the the power and either turn IT off or or hitting google system yeah and that in erupts whatever i'm trying to do. And obviously we want everything to be as. Tight as we can when we're using our devices.

So that's a little uninitiated. I don't know how they fix that though. Um I will say I will suggest .

a way to fix IT because this is one of my favorite things about this phone is actually like at the power button being the fingering reader is fast and IT works really well. But I do feel like these button are a little too loose, like they're too easy to press. So if you look at like an iphone, uh, a samsung phone, the bones are click y, but they take a little more effort to press. So if you like, just hold the phone on the side, you can actually press the button, turn up those .

button a little bit.

Yeah, that's .

true.

But yeah, do the rocker like this? We will do separate button. I think maybe the rocker makes you a little loser and separate button. I'd be farmer, so that's a good suggestion for them. I will say my least everything is still the battery life.

But uh, my favorite thing is the fingerprint and the front of so that that is our a little micro discussion on probably half the pic of old users in north amErica right now. It's a pretty good density in the studio. Uh, but we should we should bring Andrew back to do trivia. Alex, thanks for joining else, of course, if they want to hear more of your voice on podcast, I hear you have one as well.

Yeah locked on if you're a next fan. I I know and diagram is there.

but there's a couple in yes.

there's one in this room. I knows that .

cool dad is too, so that that at least two people very good this grab. Andrew, let's do some trivia, right? Welcome back, Andrew. And we had a little pixel fall inside discussion. Sorry, you couldn't a part of with small single phone.

My phone is like the size of one of these sites. Oh my god. That's really, really good.

Yeah but now trivia so we got so.

First question, what year was the google place that launched? Bone's point, if you get the month? Another bonus point.

if you get the day. Wait, google play .

store and ID market.

google play store, okay, sorry. So what data? Then start calling at the place store basically, okay.

what year, month or day one point each.

Sure, we give another point for hour, no weather that day, two points, shirt warn.

With mx plata, you can really be in the now access to razi priority, notify yes or pm, check out with fine hotels and resorts, book through amx travel. We needed this and dedicated card member entrances at the election. Let's go.

You can focus on the present moment that the powerful backing of american express terms apply. Learn more at american stock with x member s limited card. This episode is brought to you by google german I with the german I APP.

You can talk alive and have a real time conversation with an A I assistant. It's great for all kinds of things, like if you want to practice for an upcoming interview, ask for advice on things to do in a new city, or brainstorm creative ideas. And by the way, this script was actually read by geri. Download the gi APP for I O S and android today must be eighteen plus to use. Alright.

we are back. So more google news. There's actually a lot of google news is prising ly, something that we've been waiting for, for a very long time that seemed like the very natural accelerant of this large language model.

ChatGPT thing is that google is now going to supercharge the google assistant with generative AI and barn support send IT, which seems like something that made sense for a very long time, right? Like you have these large language models that are creating all of this text, naturally, google has really good voice. AI stuff with google assistant. Make sense that now you would ask you a question, I would just be able to tell you an answer.

Well, you got to be careful though, because that is google. yes. And you remember our angle on google verses like maybe just a big thing, or being as a lot to gain so they can go little crazy.

And you know how people remember when theory first came out, everyone immediately tries to break IT. They start asking IT insane question totally for all of that activity. IT already kind of had to built and feel safe of like we didn't really account for this command.

So we're just going to do web searcher just tell you we don't know yeah. If you put in a random insane query into a bar, it'll give you an answer. It'll just tell you something yeah and that answer right not necessarily be real yeah. And I don't know if google wants right .

away an interesting thing um both in the google general experience that they have research right now and also just google in general and transformers in general is when you're training one of these transformers, you can train IT to be more accurate versus more creative. The accuracy just means that IT will more directly pull from sources, right? Um and I think that google general experience does that pretty hard core to the point where there's a lot of writers that are saying it's literally scraping my website and saying the exact same phrases that are on my website, which is kind of funny because currently google assistant already that already goes like according to wikipedia and then IT says the exact chunk that I D .

IT has that where if there are certain types of this is our things that IT knows and it's like scraped and already in the knowledge graph or if you ask like how told us this person, what's this person's birthing, how old is this person, you can usually get an answer state from wikipedia, according to wikipedia or according to this website yeah like we've scraped a lot of these sites and will say say that but bard often doesn't tell you the source yeah and so I just kind of says an answer and I don't know how much google wants to like how the assistant start just saying things if IT doesn't have a good answer or good source for them.

I mean, it's pull from a source no matter right to in order to answer. I mean, maybe this is naive, but like what i'm asking, just my google home. It's usually something really quick I want it's not like, i'm like writing up an article and i'm like heg word I need like this. It's more like, oh, i'm watching T, V, and I forgot who that what other show I, I, I, not that I wouldn't care that it's not accurate, but i'd be like less word like I hate when I ask a simple question is like according to wikipedia, there five, nine and were born on this stand.

I just want my guess as well is that it's just going to be a much more natural language s assistant, right? You can just have regular conversations with IT. I do like that. But for the hard data parts, it'll probably be tailor to pulling the hard data.

So if you're just having a conversation or are you like ask you a question about, oh yeah, Marcus um let me check my sources okay, over here, IT says and then data pool anything else you want to know you know that kind of thing. And the good thing about transformers to is because like the way they work every single time, you like ask a query, it'll pull different stuff, it'll say something different, so that will make IT. So it's not like according to wikipedia, it'll just be like, alright today found that looks like on wikipedia. This is, this is and then the next time I might be like, yeah, let me search that for you on wikipedia today. And so a more attractive ural, yeah, yeah.

I more natural in like assistance in my homes and stuff like that because I feel like with all this like general A I chap things we're doing, i'm getting used to asking some of them a little more like regular conversation questions. And when I do IT at home now, I just like, I don't understand. I an example, I was in my car, actually, I was driving home, and I wanted to listen to the song. And I was, remember, we one saw same and the friends and a band open for them I forgot that band's name and I was like, I can remember the name of the song and I tried to be like google smart and I pressed like, who is the band that opened for sami ray um at summer stage? And like this feels easy .

yeah I feel like .

google should figure that out. I just I don't understand, I don't know.

I can't figure. I feel I would be able to get exactly.

And I think that like of a Better conversation piece in these things where you're just sitting in your living room or your car and you can just like that sounds really nice.

That sounds like a pretty ideal use case yeah. Also, a lot of we are talking about how how we use a system. And then I think there's also a difference in how sometimes they portray people using assistant, which is how they want people use assistant, which may be a little more of, uh, give me a recipe for this thing and then they just start making the recipe.

I don't know if you ve ever done this. Have you ever done this? They go, hey, give me recipe for a pumpkin bread food house and then they go, right, here's a recipe. IT shows up on the screen and guard, right? Here's my they just start making .

whatever IT tells them to make.

And it's like, I don't know that any that stuff recipe one also just about weird things about .

IT but has been Better .

off in your kitchen. But there's just kinds of weird or or member how there's a ChatGPT might have done this. Someone told that what was in the fridge and I said, what can I make? Yeah, those being okay.

Yeah, that seems like something that would be, sites can do that. So, yeah, well, assistant can currently do IT. So be nice if I could go.

I take a picture to stand. Hey, what can I make? Take a picture of .

the inside of your fridge and like, look like you just generally IT knows you already that could you also, maybe the language model will just understand that when I ask for a conversion of guns to cups or whatever IT IT doesn't need to teach me the equation afterworld I paying you for that? Yeah.

mind, never does.

Everything seems I so much the world.

how many cups are and go on to convert cups together.

IT always tells you the answer. And then it's like, here's the answer you need and i'm starting to poor. And then if you .

never want to do in the you point, it's Carried away sometimes yeah um yeah I don't know. I like the idea of my assistant being more like a jar with kind of thing you can just have nurture communications with yeah and then over time, maybe some in bian computing stuff, you know just happening in the background.

I think one of them actually my favorite improvements to I O S seventeen in that standby mode is that you can just talk to here from across the room. And IT keeps responding as long as you talk until you just say like, thank you or i'm done. And I did this in the demo video where I just asked a question.

I say, what's the other in birmingham today? And I told him me the answer. And I said, what about this weekend? I didn't have to say, hey, assistant again.

I didn't have to like ask IT again. I just kept talking like a Normal conversation. And I think if assisting can do more of that and generally should all be doing more of that, just sort of natural language processing along the way. And among you're done you're done yeah so I think that's that's prety sweet for moving towards that .

yeah yeah you do have listed here that it's um focusing on mobile first. What we are talking .

about .

an that's cool. I do wonder really quick. I was talking about android auto that would still be considered mobile, right.

because I just pulling from my phone. The um google .

is also starting to find my device network like an airport g competitor and they .

announced IT a while ago. But i'm excited for .

this because I lost my bag on my last trip and I don't have an iphone and I was like, i'm going to bring in the attack on my next trip and I didn't but I should have and then I went enough .

to this story time. Um so I use pixel now, but I keep the iphone on me because it's like a universal remote for a lot of the apple service that are really useful to me. Yesterday, literally yesterday, I was my friends looking for a new job.

So we are going around a different bars and cafes and dropping off a resume and staff. And I brought my camera with me because I always bring my camera with me. And I had my air tag on IT. And at the end of the evening I was like, where's my camera that could .

be any of these nine places we were supposed?

David story, yeah.

That's why my camera now have an air tag. And I have a little thing that says, if found, please call me at this phone number.

It's only one camera, not. A typical David is true.

yeah, but I had to saw hot spot from my pixel fold to give my iphone data just so I can look on the fine my network where my phone is and my camera is yeah. And IT showed me exactly IT, was I back to that bar? So did you find a camera? They said, yeah, here you go.

Wa saves your life. So if if google can make a competitor, that be great, because there are pretty much just as many android phones out there in the us. As there are iphone and in other countries, air tags are probably kind of not useless but not nearly as powerful thing is not in an android version of this. Basically, every other country that's not the us is going to be massive yeah .

I I would still in the camp of like air tags are one of apple's best inventions, best products of the last couple of last maybe decade ah just because IT there just so everyday person univerSally useful yes. And locking of just air tags like there's an air each of our tripod bags. So if we ever check a bag, I get to follow IT and know exactly where IT is.

I never have any confusion about what you you can. I know the bag do you know i'm looking at IT like I can see the location, all kinds used for air tag gs. And so to have sort of A A equivalent that's just available and takes the same advantage of the the devices that are everywhere for android is so club so sick, I can't wait this to be real. Um also IT seems like what was that? A settings sleep and there's more granular contal.

so there giving you a lot more granular control. So when apple first launched air tacks, they got a lot of heat because IT was like stocking people. And then there was there was a also a thing where um you would be like this air tags following you and you're just like you don't want to have IT on and just people with privacy issues.

So google has been thinking a lot about that, and I think that's why they delayed. They are all loud. So now they have all these uh, different control so you can make IT so you can turn them off fully whenever you want.

You can just turn off this air tag. It's not being used. You can enable IT to find devices offline. Es so that IT uses like GPS pinning of different phones. You can have IT so you can only be only turn on in high traffic areas.

So like if you go to airport and there's like a lot of phones in a dense area that is easier to find your thing, you know maybe need to paying your bag on the convey belt, an airport or something like that. okay. Um yeah they just have like they have a ton of settings in the APP. The settings got leaked.

So it's funny. This is almost like we are used to seeing apple have things second and being like, oh, these are all the hardships that they worked through as a new products like we have that fix for once apple did that and we to like them, suffer a little.

Apple does the first google right? yeah. Is the opposite of Normal. This, I think, is the most annoyed thing about AI r tags or about the whole find.

My thing is how often you get paint and don't want to. I get told that I left my iphone behind every day. I got, I walked to a different room in the studio, was like, hey, did you know you don't have your phone? yeah. But I know I know that did you know but it's with me. It's just not on me .

even if you like, i'll have my camera around my neck and i'll get a pain that's like you left camera behind and like .

no IT is no yes.

it's wrong.

So let me dig into the settings and and there's often a button comes up. This is like trust location, but I still want to know if I leave my keys at work and leave work. So I can't hit trust this location because if I do leave work, it's not going to me.

So I do. I need to be more active, need settings. Goole is doing IT right? Where apple is just like they obviously have a great produce .

but does track is that google giving your settings and apple is not that's that's pretty much on track. yeah. Prety perfect.

I don't know air tags did that. Probably one of the most used features on my watch is the ring, your phone. But yeah, which I use on my like google home as well, a lot also.

But when i'm in a place where I feel comfortable, I just, I like, don't care things in my pocket. I just put them down the amount time to leave my phone somewhere in this office and then just go. I haven't seen in a few hours. I don't know where IT is. Like if IT actually pins me to be like a you walked away.

so would tell you you walked away and be like, where did you walk away and would just tell you the address and you would have to go look IT up and see if you can dig any APP. Yes, he gets pretty known and pretty known. I think apple needs to be at yeah shocker shocker did not going to yeah I think we have we have time for another outbreak and another trivia section sound good. I was .

really all this is so break you right on my lord for the audio .

was in zizou is Adams s dog who is here with us today in some and she's .

and one of her floppy ears is propped up on the wall. There is always something about dogs that are floppy ears and that you're stand in some positions, sometimes very doral.

Anyway, trivia question number two, google play was created when what three google services combined. During a google play week.

Wow, interesting.

Three thousand three.

This episode is brought you by stay, for you might say all kinds of stuff, things go wrong, but these are the words you really need to remember.

We got one last section to talk about some quick stuff. I feel like iphone and fifteen rumors are kind of spinning up a lot. It's guth.

The temple is the way. And we are starting to get a whole bunch of most interesting iphone. I kind of want to summarize at all.

I think I phone fifteen pro also is a more interesting one because that seems like the one we're where we're going to see the most new stuff. So i'll just i'll scroll down this little, little bit for you guys and maybe give me a reactions. I'll also have some of my own first reaction. Thinner bessel do a care. It's not care .

someone thirty percent singer bessel sn bezzle. I mean, go go the most. We gets a full screen, full screen.

It's going to look just like the the old phone just slide dinner that's .

it's that look nicer, will all see IT and be like that's really nice that no one else will like really I mean thirty percent of that small of a vessel already yeah .

and already uniform bases not super you know not amazing but okay cool. Uh, titanium frame. So moving from our precious, we have aluminium on the non pro and we have stainless steel on the pro right now. Titanium.

how we feel about that? The vulto.

Uh, let's look at up.

I think it's titanium.

It's obviously super boring.

Also, my fug film T X one is titanium, and I really like that material .

is their song called apple .

watch ultra is made with tianna. That's right, as they call IT ero space grade. That's because they use, they use titanium and space.

So now it's error space. Great titania. You can say you use airspace grade, man, man is exactly. They probably got different many in space. The power regular.

anything liquid has difference. Many is kind of a liquid.

So anyway, titanium phone, how do we feel?

I think about to go to the whole public system.

This was like one of those things were like apple knows they can't or don't want to make the phone exactly the same as last year. So they need something to make IT look and feel just a little different from layers. So you know that's the new one.

They don't use the s model, the s thing anymore. So now they actually do have to do something slightly like from twelve to thirteen they made the um did not or thirteen to fourteen they made dynamic c island fourteen to fifteen. So now ever you you get at least a slight change and look, yes. And I think that's so people that's the I literally .

think of the primary thing they're trying to comfort.

Yeah, it's like every year you have to have like no at the end of the video. Like if you're upgrading from last year, it's probably not worthy because it's only this mineral difference this .

year .

could be like it's titi. Um yes, if you really want titanium upgrade other than slapping smaller.

but i'm sure to have a Better camera.

Yes, here's only we've talked about a little bit, but we can give a quick and options. Action button might be replacing the meat switch, but you could have IT be.

We didn't talk about that last time. We just talked about that having an action. But now the rumor is that button will be replacing the mute switch. Um I think yeah you could be the mute switch IT could be something else I think would be really sick if you could map that to let your focus mode or even a GPS location. So does the apple watch ultra like have dynamic uh.

action button and has the action button and you can map in the watch APP you to do, which is a company based on location. I think I think .

that was like something we said would be really cool when that happens. Like imagine you're working out at the gym or the track that action .

is in a track workout to detect that i'm at a track and now the action button is giving me like lap timers segments. But as far as just like on my homework, reen hit the action button. It's like this will either launched a certain APP or start a workout because but .

I can do a bunch other stuff now, which I think is really cool. I would prefer to have a button that does multiple things, then just mute the things. So yeah.

i'm going to try my hardest to map this to google system. I don't know what it's going to take, you can, but i'm going to try. You could probably just make a problem serious or cut. Yeah, yeah. alright. So that's that. What about U, S, B, type C? IT seems like IT is gaining steam as a possible iphone fifteen pro feature um and it's it's gonna be hilarious as they market IT alongside a lightning iphone fifteen, but they are gonna like all .

shoot and get faster foot off. There's two options yeah either they put U S, B, C in both the fifteen and the pro and they only put thunder able in the pro OK more likely.

right?

Or they put IT in the pro.

but they keep lightning on the fifty because they do have an extra year. They're doing IT a year ahead of when the E U. Is making them right.

okay. So was thinking about ipad that and in an ipad pro, it's thunder able and USB c and in in a regular ipad air, it's just USB c, but they also didn't come out at the same time. So there was a brief period where there was a thurnall able ipad pro and the lightning ipad air before they switched IT.

But with this, it's going to be the phones all launch at once. So I think I if i'm if i'm bedding, I think you're gonna do joh. I I place .

my bed. I hope I think i'm going to be wrong. But the the possibility of this happening IT would be so funny if there is a lightning and U C, think announced the same thing and i'm going to take that. But just because I assume you guys about the opposite, and then I can basin the old city of that happening and both of.

I think there are .

equally possible .

IT would be so funny here. The thunder, able and regular. U. S, B, C.

makes so much more sense. Like, have to bring to brit like pro data.

They're going to brand there is going to be a hilaria yeah well as remember when they finally we've had sixty hurts iphone for an eternity and there is that moment on stage where they got to the iphone fourteen pro e whatever was and IT was like promotion and like H, I see what you did there. You just call one hundred twenty hlt po something pro so you put IT in the pro phone, not the base phone stuck with I think they can. Proponents, yeah, that's true. But does that mean so the regular .

fifteen will also be sixty hours.

So I think yeah, yeah, okay, that's interesting. So if they only move U S, B, C to the pro phone, that would imply that it's a pro feature that's never going to come if the night that way. But why else would they only put IT in one of the phones, you know, to get you to buy IT? Because I feel like if they only put IT in the pro phone.

they have to brand as a pro feature. And kind of that there are how the real phone to get some of these like features that are are like dynamic island and the whole punch will come after ga was like twenty twenty.

No, the dynamics island .

is .

already is coming to the fifteen regular is this is which was my bet yeah I just want to remind so anything that they put that they brand as pro yeah that they are going to keep the O U. S. Type c may not be, I make, or something hilarious.

what they could do in the like sixteen, what they could do in the like sixteen, as they could put one twenty hurts. But it's not L, P, O. It's just one one.

So I don't know where the people who have no idea what that means. But yeah, that's fair. I I think they, I think I think they broke in U. S, B, C. Yeah, yeah.

interesting. I'm willing to take the back. I love that this is the big underdog.

The only possibility there is something to be said about them making the regular one still lightning because they can just milk the lightning port for a little bit longer because they're making licensing money on all of them.

And theyll also have a reason for people to upgrade from the fifteen to the sixteen. When I finally gets USB c yeah cause is the thing once you get you once you get USB c on people's rather for the iphone, then it's like, okay, airports, all these other accessories is everything else. People are going to start having to think about USB c and the iphone.

And so when the next one comes out, they are going to have, oh, USB c is now. And all the iphones, all the accessories, hop on board by the port. And the accessories, again, like all that stuff, apple thinks about this a lot if they definitely had this exact conversation.

My most anticipated moment of the iphone, amen, this year, is how they are going to told the world that you c is so much Better. Yeah, I like so excited for this .

of taking a revolutionary point from the ipad pro. And we've put IT in the iphone from .

the next to six .

p we put IT in the iphone, do we were we just went on a workshop, and Brandon's phone died in the middle night because he didn't realize he brought A U. S, B, C. Cable instead of a lightning ning cable till.

like all of us were a sleep that happened to me too this weekend. And literally only brother USB sea cable. And I forgot to bring a lightning one and my iphone died. Yeah, i'm the going.

Have a slide about like one charger for r. I'm doing Jenny. I'm doing jie. I was voice like it's but it's even it's just going to be like an executive stage like so now you can use one charger for your ipad, your macbook and your phone. How incredible is that? They're also we're gna give you a special a special brick where you can plug in two USB c things ah there are .

rumors that the new airport pod's pro, which are is still the two are they're just going to see to that too. They should just keep .

an airports max .

are also they would have to .

update which IT is around time for them to update the airpower s max. So if if they do really air pods max two with the bc, that would be nice.

That insane to do all those things as U. S, B, and then still ship .

a lighting .

iphone that seems .

that is cheapest iad, cheapest. But the cheapest iphone can still be the S, C. Yeah, that's true. Maybe that's the next one.

Uh, also there is a rumor that the next apple watch, uh, I didn't say specifically where there was the ultra, which is apparently getting an ultra two this year nice, which the ultra two is apparently going to be coming in map black.

That was that really I saw like a render .

that's easily .

the most exciting or yeah .

yeah I think but all concept of the .

but basically every single year, they use of what is effectively the same chip set in the apple watch like they update. They update IT very, very slightly every year, but IT is almost not different at all. But there is a rumor that apparently this year, it's going to be significantly faster, which is like, cool. It's nice. Yeah.

you is onna run great on yeah.

I mean, we have they .

changed the U I, two with watch O, S. And I was a little widget. Maybe they wanted to like push this big update to the watch, shake things up a bit with the water.

If it's a significant node size change that maybe battery life i'll be improved, that would be nice. So really nice. Yes, that's kind of the apple rumors. Uh, we ve got a month until that happened.

I like apple watch is a crazy thing, said map black, because I know if I am mack watch, but it's like midnight, so it's not really black. So like.

actually, what if the ones up being midnight.

I will be so mad .

that night.

Would you rather midnight or the silver that you have?

I like the silver.

I love. I love how good that was.

Honestly, i'd say silver, but like my black out, of course. yeah. No, please, please if that if that's not finalized yet. So in apple, can you just press the button and lock that in please? It's all plane uh .

last topic today A X formerly twitter known as twitter.

We're going to say every time you know the thing that was twitter .

that one it's confusing otherwise .

it's sure the artist formerly known as twitter yeah ah is now letting you hyde a blue checks. K, this was something that was pretty immediately announced to inland and boat twitter, and I just never happened, but now they actually are letting you do.

IT prise is free. It's not free. The checks.

ks, free, and the check Marks, not free.

surprise. The ability to hide IT isn't extra extra.

You need x blue with you.

What you do .

need expire. You need x blue plus to hide IT.

exactly. So it's it's funny that is why? Because because the whole point of getting IT was like I get a verify page now like now everybody has a verify bage. Now I have a verify bge. But now people I don't want .

to show that. They just want the benefits of IT yeah .

showing exactly yeah but there was a thing on the page like I asked brand and for a screen shot of the page that shows to let you hide IT said some features may not be available if you hydrochloric and I was like like wet that seems very vague yeah there's only like four twitter believe features total so which so weirdly I think the than .

the main one that like got added like a lumped by elan is like when you're a twitter blue describer, you get like priority and algorithm and you're like at the top of replies and things like that. And I think that's probably gone to stop happening .

if you have I mean.

you you're like showing up among the blue checkmark, but you're not a blue checkmark. So now if if was supposed to believe that the blue checkmark indicates a high quality source or something or a real person, then why would we keep surfacing the ones that don't have a check like this should be visually.

I see a boss like, I paid for the blue check for priority replies, and there are without a blue check above. I would be upset. I one.

yeah, no. But then like, why even pay? Why play for blue? I just want to edit tweet. Is that IT .

for eight dollars? And I mean, that is why you originally got .

blue before all of the start.

So IT does make sense. IT is a stranger, and that soon expire. Is gonna like A A plane in all a car. You pick which features you want and don't want, and then, well, be different .

from that that wild. Yeah, yeah. So .

you much.

I'm not is time to finish that right. Let's finish with our tribe answers did. But first the .

corrections clear.

We never anything wrong.

The man is the eat and spac e is not Normal man. I looked IT up. I looked IT up. This all sort of change is so some of that, you know, they have to there's no fridges in space. You're got to make special many faces of fridge.

just put IT out in the space in the the window grade.

But the other .

thing that I found in researching is that since man is is an emotion apparently .

keeping yeah I like tough.

I was .

face probable. And there's there's a current NASA research project called what's go project .

posta next.

where they're trying to figure out if they could make manage.

among other things. So there is a man.

there is space manage, but it's not earth manage. Earlier I said, if you ate manage in space, then you could be like arrow space grade. I thought .

you saying it's basically the researching, how do you make up possible?

Um no so what to talk about earth man is and and bring IT IT up yeah so what they're trying to see is can you can you fly eggs and oil and a little bit seasoning up to the I S. S. And then went into man and space?

So yeah, the scientists bring too concerned whether or not they could. They didn't think that or not. They should.

I just want to say, I just got back from walking zero and I look over and Alice was google maines and I was like, what the hell .

did I miss your space? everything.

Anyway, trivia. So quick update on the score. sure.

Markets has too nice.

Andrew. With Andrew, a million, ten, ten, one, one. Anger has one.

David, do you wanted? Guess some of you have to remember four, four. correct. Plus one point for kiddin.

So first .

question, what year was the google play store launched?

I'm ready. Well, this is going. I also learned that salt and pepper are you on the IOS, but only in liquid form. what? Yeah, because if you have little pepper of flakes floating around and can get in people's eyes and stuff quid liquid pepper.

Pepper NASA .

sentence, all these leg, James of face toscato like, perfect on pins. I want the liquid.

Let's them around this. Not that are on.

You guys say, I said two thousand eleven. I also said two thousand and eleven is two thousand twelve.

I said two thousand thirteen.

two thousand .

twice OK, I want to say my reasoning OK. The next is seven. The first generation next is seven, launched in twenty twelve. And the, well, no IT launch a twenty twelve.

I know this very fact. Twenty twelve? yes. Next to seven?

Yes, thank you. And they are they sold that tablet .

at good boys, good boys. They certainly didn't.

They saw that at a fifty dollar per unit loss. And the reason they did that was to unload people onto the google play store yeah because they knew that the the average cost of acquiring a customer is generally more than fifty dollars. So google was willing to lose money. So the reason, I guess, twenty eleven, because I figured they would have announced IT before the next of seven came out. But I bet you they announce IT with the next, which makes me feel really done.

I was going back to nexus four 嗯, launch.

I just took a show the dark now just for. How does that .

feel when there is I was not .

okay the next .

next question and fine.

everything's fine to school with our google play trivia this week, google play, which also, I totally forgot the pee used to be lower case. Okay, until like twenty fours, why do they do that? It's a title o anyway so think about .

how iphone is lower case .

yeah but that's like know that but the he is, I don't know, just pictured in your head and it's so strange google play was created when what three google services or google products or what we want to call IT combined.

Um I don't know. I don't know this at all. Like I I guess a point for each correct cancer. I us sure maybe .

I like that.

I know .

anything I just want to say like I remember IT changing to play and being like, that's weird. I don't get IT play. Like.

this is weird.

but is now I cannot remember what I was before. I remember thinking, this is weird.

Pencils down.

It's three. It's three pencils down. okay. Wow.

Andrews is blank. Andrews, blank. Thank you. interesting. So the .

up store is .

yet the .

for the APP .

andre marketplace, APP store, game store talk about is wrong and the the original APP store and then what the android APP store really wasn't the name of the .

android market .

and ID marketplace.

whatever OK. I did not write APP store because I was like, no, that isn't A I O S thing. Like, I don't think that would come .

if I had two extra seconds like David, I would have written android .

marketplace, alright.

Well, I was. I had my pencil down and then the game store, which I don't remember what was called so .

that a separate gme ster?

Probably not.

No, I think my memory is tricking you anyway.

Okay, I know android market.

That's one.

Uh, android services like google play services, but like android services. And I put security core.

What is that?

Like android security core?

Well, get one. I am tempted to not give you IT because .

you were still writing after. I'm a slow right writing .

after and we didn't talk about points per one day, which is the overall question for singular point.

What now I think you like David the point .

because it's the first one I wrote.

yeah, yeah. And I like that. thanks. Anyway.

andre mars, that he pay you this that's .

for raising that I did.

I want a point .

to I think you should give marketed for .

APP .

store because you but I would given a to.

but you actually wrote android market.

So I think everyone knows that is the thing .

apps were on if I do have what if one of you .

had also wrote, I really, really give to both of you because it's I like.

but it's because you got actually seconds right?

But I read at .

first cannot .

confirm, wow.

what is the answer and what did you?

I won nothing. Oh, because I couldn't think of what the name of the APP store was.

IT was the combination of the android market distributing apps.

google music .

distributing music and .

the google e for them.

I will be able to collaborate.

The music was yellow books, or read and act Green, the movies and T.

V.

Later they combined google music, yeah. Became google play music as a separate APP. And google books is still a separate up.

So they had the separate google play and movies APP. And IT was red and IT was weirdly ugly and IT was from, you're right yeah I member.

I believe you mean i'm right.

I also like I really confused by this, but google is literally .

been doing .

this one fifteen years. So like .

I such a crazy .

flash back use for google play music. Yeah.

he was also, that's also the A O S P icon for audio on on U. S. B. They kind .

of look like in fifteen .

years.

Yeah, super in the weeds. Well, that's why we do this.

I'm such a chat.

I don't know.

Just ago over a point, David has five markets, has three and seven. I have seven. I yeah official that's the official mark.

Now I know who have got paid off. Interesting, interesting. I think that's where we ended. That is hey, thanks for watching. Thanks for us this week of reform. Let us know on the comments which wants to talk about or react to or check out, have thoughts on next, see as the next one way .

from is produced adam ali, an anal Robin where partner vox media nec and our introduction music is made by the help us today shouts very good job zero.

She's focused on Alice right now.

Andrew, welcome back. Thank you. Are going to do.

We're going we had a little we actually double the population of pixel folds or no, he didn't. IT was motivated by one point five. Such a terrible, let's scratch that.

Keep IT. How come when I screw up IT gets .

kept .

so ad medium the wrong way?
