What is that? People of the internet? Welcome back to another episode from podcast wear host r and i'm David, and we've got a whole bunch of stuff since we last saw you and talk to you.

It's finding how that works out when we have like a guest episode. We take a quick break and sudden I um in today's episode, we're going to go through let's see the the thought of the zen phone disappearing across everybody's mind for the various reasons. Also we have a first confirmation about the cyber truck event and you smart wash league from nothing, a weird place station portable device.

And of course, something of a leak from google doesn't happen often. But we have a big test, new peak of some google stuff. So are going to talk about all of that. But first, something completely unrelated to all of that. Look under your seats and right.

look under your seats. Auto listeners.

look under your seats, not your driving is on the road.

What you're looking .

at is listeners a bunch of of boxes that we're about to take out the box. What IT looks like is just a regular show, S M seven b box. But if you look carefully on the side, there's a color wear seal, which means they can only mean one thing that these are color customized. sure. S M seventies for the podcast from color.

where if you're an audio listener and you don't know what I sure sm seven b is, it's a microphone .

you have seen IT. Trust me.

if you're an audio listener, use your minds eye to envision with .

this are boxing. I set them up.

I don't do you know when they started doing this because I know they were doing isn't like the M, V seven, is the U. S. B.

version. And they were doing that for a while. yeah. And then I resave of this posted about IT. And then our friends .

are color wear. Like did we buy these or did they hook us up? Wow, color, thank you. Didn't have to go that I appreciate you. Oh well.

wow, that's .

think .

I don't .

know.

right? So these look the same as our regular mikes generally, except the ring around the center that is Normally black is the red for the M, K, B, A, C. red.

And something I didn't know and anticipate is on the bottom of the micro. They in bost, or unlike that, consider painted, painted. They painted. M, H, the way forms the bottom IT.

Also, IT is my black. I know IT looks similar, but it's definitely finish.

I was about to compare most.

like mark is an r twenty .

seven color. If you guys could do this to an r twenty seven, that would be unreal. I know they might do one off once in a while the'd rather, master, reduce a bunch of an r an R E.

like I didn't. And electrodes.

ice r twenty seven, literally. I use this, mike, because I like the way that sounds. I think that S M seven sound great. But there is something of a tender to my voice. And I guys used to hearing IT this way, and I like IT, but I like this.

Everyone said, says that we sound the same. So should I just also be using, when .

we thought to him.

but like color, where I literally, like, when I do these painted things, they literally like, disassemble the thing, paint the pieces and we assemble them. So I don't know if they're capable of doing that to this mic, but if they did.

I would that seems like they would be much charter. That seems like a way more complicated more than these. These are generally pretty simple in terms of like the casing that you pop off, I believe.

But standard, right? Do you want to install?

Course we do. Do the magic of editor .

I knew is happening.

all right?

Let's know how long he's kind .

of plug in already. I think the three, it's so a loud in my ears.

right, right? You really okay .

to the magic of editing. We will .

be back.

baby. Wow.

this look, they are installed.

So .

what do we just discovered .

can .

show .

everybody is they .

painted the .

they they call.

uh, I don't know what .

that's called is just like a structure .

to hold the the microphone.

capture the well, they painted the inside, which you would never see.

Test h does .

no good. And through the magic of editing, we will be right back back. We figured that out. The magic fine. Everything great. Everything is found.

That looks great on the producer, mike, because the logo is just right there. That's yeah. So I think we need to fill that way upside down.

You can really see. No, it's the way. perfect. Yes, perfect.

Further record. Can I can I brow this? Yes, just I want you to guys to hear the difference between the r twenty seven and S M D.

And let me know in the comment if I should stick with the r twenty seven or move to the much pretty S M seven b. This is me on the r twenty seven. This is me on the S.

M. B. This is me on the r twenty seven.

This is me on the S. M. Not changed. I can sound Better. Or i'm hearing .

you for the, but in the day .

you talk .

so far. What how do in this way formers produced adami and Alice roving, way formers produced .

by adama and .

Alice roving is a lot more from way formers is .

produced adamo leader and else proven.

This is the S. M. Seven b.

Do we want to do that the the audio and explains or you just want to get into our busy podcast today.

how fast busy site based on the comments on eisa de, if we next yeah I like so right all right. We knew, yeah, we knew this would be a busy time of the year. And a judging by the couple of event invites, that of all happened very recently.

It's definitely about to be the busy time of year. So we know there is going to be an apple event on september twelfth. I believe that's probably going to be iphone were also suspecting new apple watch, suspecting new new ipods may be some and three maxi ong, the way that could be another event later, but that's a bunch of stuff there.

Um we're also going to have a pixel event in new york city on october fourth. We've got an invite to that, that should be pixel 8, pixel 8 pro and maybe some had phones, who knows? And pixel wash too.

A watch is, well, hopefully that was good, Better than the first one. Better? yes. Yeah, all of stuff coming up. I mean, it's that time a year at every time anyone there's one of those things anytime anyone ever asked about our job and I like is there like a busy time of year and always like yet all of the products and most important stuff that has to be on the shop by the holiday season starts coming out in september and october. Yeah and that's what about to get into. So make sure you subscribed to all the channels and watching all the video I come out because is going to be good.

The first ever podcast episode was called smart fund season came out made August .

a it's a good title for IT smart ones and money more things killer. It's going to be great.

Do I share something about the oh yeah so apple you know, every year they're hiding clues about what they going to show off in the invite in the little art that they put in the invite. So I know next week we are talking, we're going to make some predictions about what we think. But I just wanted to get out there early because I think I cracked the code before anyone. And I took the time to mock up some renders h .

well to do IT.

So we all we're looking at and I thought that apple looked and be what will put up the the apple, but it's sort of the shape of the apple logo. But IT has these sort of ripples in IT and .

it's made of stars. And I titanium you is what you think .

definitely see. I think a boy, I think it's supposed to me. The among us .

guy is right.

And I think this is the announcing that launching with apple vision will be among us VR. I actually time to make some renders I want to share with you. I was slack.

I really think, you know, they were really, this is really what they were hinting at. So this is my first efficient prediction. Renders included.

How did you for .

audio listeners, IT is among us listening, among us characters marked up as the .

invitation IT does we? A, I did this.

so I did this. But yeah, I did this. But A I by typing IT in there.

Yeah, no, no, you made this.

it's. That time in your folks speaking of smart phones, the zenn phone had a moment .

in the quick moment.

The moment was weird. I remembers seeing on twitter there is this headline, or I think so, one put IT in the slack is like an android authority article about how the zenda one is rumored to be going away, getting this continued. And as I go, that's A I mean, we talked about a briefly, but that's kind of a crazy confirmation.

So I remember looking on twitter and trying to search for other articles and seeing what I could read about IT. And I couldn't find anything. He was from a taiwanese news site, and he was reported directly by, and I guess from the time, yes.

So I saw that it's not really anywhere else that I would Normally read bit. I know Andrew thirty. I guess they're pretty, pretty solid all all sort of two. I said no in in all lower case like I I knew this was going to happen and eventually but was a rumor a couple days later, the access account like parks up and and says, no, we're not actually discontinuing any of this stuff.

We have plans for a new zone phone, we have plans for a new org phone, we have plans for all of these phones yeah and so in those couple days of a gap in between the rumor of them discontinuing this and phone and the J. K. Were not A, I was fully accepting that the ent phone was gone forever.

I had fully accepted IT the old grif the whole thing. Yeah, we put up a short that had me using an end phone, and we use the zen phone in IT. And half the comments were like, gods, there's not going to any more of those phones like that. The whole internet went through that grief.

And I got tags probably like fifty times two, just like you're using this now, what do you think? Do you think? And I was sad.

Maybe they get the press. I honestly.

I feel like this is it's good Price too. They just released the u. You know, maybe a one up in good Price.

It's not very often that we see like companies directly responding to wear room like this. yes. So i'm glad they just came out street and like I don't know, we're still doing IT.

I guess the how many times do you see a rumor of a company killing off on other products? That's not true. Like any time you see everything killing off on their products and don't respond, they actually.

speaker, yeah, the rumor was that they were collapsing. They were like doing a restructuring and issues. And so they were just emerging the zen phone and R, G.

Lines, and that everybody that was working on zenn phone was gona start. R, O G, yeah. I don't know where that taiwanese .

out like got that information from, but me neither. Yeah, but that sounds so I think i've seen .

some people talk about like, oh, maybe it's just that IT won't a compact flagship anymore. Maybe this then for name, we'll just be gone. But they're still making something.

Um I feel at this point now that people are starting like people have design phone, a lot of credit. I feel like one running up a bunch last year in this mark on awards. It's only gone Better this year. So like me, yeah it's doing it's doing also my I know I still use IT. I still use IT and I tried to switch back to my pix on us like, no, I like this size so much Better couldn't go .

back to my pixel is funny. We in the grief stages and acting on twitter and it's sad but it's also not surprising like people with their wallets and h as much as we like small phones, like most people don't buy small phones. So it's it's the most vocal, enthusiastic minority of people who are like, yes, iphone twelve many was the perfect size.

Yes, then phone is great. And then none of the about IT IT was discontinued. And now the plus iphone is in its place.

And so and cells much Better. And so we wouldn't shocked if this unfun one away. But we still all love the thing.

I think he was believable enough to think maybe what happened.

Yeah, man, phones are way too big now.

really I they really need to make small phones. It's unna your holding a pixel fold. But also, like the outside screen, the pixel is pretty act zen phones time. So yes, yeah. Can I talk about my .

zen phones really quick? I've been using this for two months now OK. I love IT backing of IT.

Two months back. Still, still great. I mean, like there is nowhere on this.

This is no case. Climbing, hiking, treating IT like crap. And it's nothing like the old ones. yeah. Now I have one gripe about this.

I think this might be very specific, and i'm using this as a call to action to maybe helped me wifi calling IT has IT. But in the U. S.

I ve looked everywhere on how to turn IT on, and I cannot figure IT out from everything that of research that seems like in order to have wifi calling in the us, your career has to weight list the model of phone to allow that feature through the summer, whatever. yeah. And because then phone is not a very popular, this is my, this is my assumptions here.

Since then, phones is not that popular for phone team. Mobile doesn't care. I use t mobile. So my phone model is in White listed in this wifi calling. Yeah, thanks. So even though I know the phone has IT, even though I know on team mobile, i've used wifi calling before I can all right now. And in this office, that is very bad because we have car.

This is also you still using one of the ones we've got early.

which is an international. And so i'm wondering .

if the new one would do anything different. Think potentially the north american version will have IT more likely?

I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I like me to sell. I don't I don't see that turning into something from all the stuff I look at.

There's all these weird ways you can like pg this set of numbers into the dialer and then I will turn on allow the future the settings and then every time you restart the phone, you have to dial in again. That didn't even work for me. Um there's nothing in any of the setback, I promise I will everywhere twitter helped me.

It's not there someone who makes you someone from t move. If you are listening to this podcast, please, yes, please, please, please help me figure this out. The same problem, the four other people out there that have the same problem, N T mobile or something. But um I would love for you to work because I love this phone.

Remember when I was using A, I was calling and wifi calling and that was a it's really .

bad in that corner like where is is, is.

And if those who don't know in a video production studio, which has concrete floors, concrete ceilings, metal beams everywhere and double thick insulated glass for acoustics, yes, self single does not really get in there too well, so, yeah, yeah, we need wifi. I calling. No, yeah, it's a thing.

Anyway, speaking of things, actually, you would take a break this last one quick. Okay, yeah, yeah, it's pretty quick. We did start to keep seeing cyber trucks roll in around on delivery trucks.

yes, and rapped as other trucks.

That's so. So we're summer cyberia c deliveries are coming soon. Well.

we also have this like kind of cyber truck event thing coming from the tesla rever problem. Yes, we're like if you pay thirty thousand credits, you get an invite to with you, plus one first conver serve to the event. Yeah which which just .

knows an Austin first time the knowing there would be some type of rumor cyber truck delivery event in q three. And we've always just stuck with this rumor, but testers never confirmed anything. And in the first time, we see a officially confirmed by teslas inside the tesla. APP is a new referral award where you can spend points to go to the tesla cyber truck delivery event. IT does not say what the data, but IT says that he will be an event and you can go.

yeah, and you all travel and accommodations are up to you. This just get just .

a ticket in and .

whether this is a delivery event for people who pay their credits to go and pick IT up or whether it's just for the original people who are going to you, you not you're .

just getting a ticket to the event OK. I assume it's gonna. I always looking into the future as if it's the past. It'll probably be very similar to the plan delivery event where tesla has this very short event where they go on stage and they say, hey, manufacturing is really hard, but we've got this great product and we're finally started manufacturer. Here are a couple of tricks and things we learned in spinning up manufacturing. Here are the first twenty five drive them off in a ceremonial like pro ranged thing, or like five happy families like getting their new cyber.

Because as of the Better is .

no twenty five was what flat was yeah yeah I mean, you will be the same and yeah they all like, you know, are prevented. California family ies, i'm sure lots of our test employs already, but then they they sort of serum o time. So maybe texas families who knows a and they'll drive off the line and that i'll be the fifteen minute event. And if you're there, you're got to see that .

happen and then there will be twenty youtube reviews in one week yeah I have a question. How many credits is thirty thousand credits besides thirty thousand?

Let over twenty thousand.

And let me just give you some content text of .

thirty thousand credits to be able to go to the back because I think Andrea were talking this when this first happened. I was like, wow, wasn't easy way for text to just like get people to .

burn the great yeah um I get the email every time I refer to want to get a tesla or any tesla problems anytime this is doing referral. Yes, sometimes someone uses my code. So i've referred someone h five days ago to buy a mile three, and that added ten thousand credits to my account. So three, one, three, two, only influencers .

can go.

Yeah honestly, I mean that kind of the way that feels. But it's only three, which sounds like a lot. But a lot of people who just have neighbors who are thinking about IT or have a friend who got one or whatever, just end up with three.

And so if you feel like you could spend IT on anything, you could spend IT on jackets and like tired supercharger miles on, people comment spend on. So yeah, it's a lot of credit, it's a lot of referrals. But if you're have that much of an enthusiast that you would go to a delivery of ent, don't even get your own truck, you probably are pretty into IT didn't .

more they like not letting some influencers in. What was that last event? There was like a huge line. And there is a bunch of people on twitter who were tween that they like got turned around at the entrance. Think I killed lot scot.

turn with the cyber rodeo. That was one of .

those things where no one was actually invited. They're shot to go .

yeah one person .

did get invited and then they when they got there, they're like, so there's no room or something like that and was a huge deal yeah I remember .

that and these these events yeah well.

okay well what that actually happens before the end of the year, then I .

guess I will this count as a delivery or a pick up, pick up we said deliveries.

Yes.

I I think we I think we are on that. There will be post twenty five delivered. Everyone else is not twenty five delivered but like if I order food and I have to drive and pick up, that's through that's not delivered a pick up this is consider take out the the way I tip changes take out this is take out yeah as cyber truck take out.

i'll say two things. One, I guess we defined our bit earlier as if I was the same as the plant event and twenty five people receive their truck, said not .

non tests .

employees. Yes, a non test employees. Then IT counts. Two, IT is both delivery and pick up because it's a pick up truck.

I was going to say, come pick up your truck is what I was just wow, markets s get to the man before me.

If the trucks get recalled, what's what's the Grace period that they have to remain in non tesla employee's hands before or without?

That goes back to us. If I get food poisoning from this delivery.

there are so many ways to find. It's like, okay, the first twenty five roll off the line before the end, the calendar year, and then they hundred thousand in january. But the twenty five that were delivered before the in the year all get recalled does account is not satisfactory.

Does anyone hear?

Is I don't know, this bet doesn't .

even have a wager. Does IT doesn't if a .

cyberia cc explodes in texas.

but nobody is, are around here. Did you ever .

get delivered at all?

I think we go to break. I think got.

哎, be .

at .

a time.

So after the break, we do want to talk about the nothing smart watch. We do want to talk about playstation portable making no type of sense. So there's a lot more to get to. But first, the .

trivia .

trio.

you guys no.

I can wait for you guys to hear IT.

although is this one of the next is this one.

but Alice also came with a great one. But okay, I feel like you might know this. I'm not sure, right? So fun fact, according to a sues, the asos name is actually a reference to what greek mythological creature I know. I did a tour .

of the cases headquarters in taiwan. I did my research OK. I went to tie one to find the answer up.

sues. Sues is so .

greek good greek White data .

greeter .

I know that this .

is so lakers. Is a .

zoos .

the like as .

you mean, like a really big B.

We'll be right back.

Thank you.

And here we have travellers in the natural habitat enjoying guaranteed four P M. Checked at five hotels. Resorts book through a max travel and they don't even see what's coming at them.

We're in, we got the table.

Welcome back. We are going to talk about nothing sort of leaking something, but it's not really nothing. It's have you seen theyve announced a suburb called C.

I kind of take second. These guys.

they like a brand new company.

like two products.

They have like .

two products, like three spin up parents' two products.

There's are the bugs all over the add no, I know just they made a new subbrand yeah called cmf, which is a weird name already but they .

trying to get clever that actually okay C M F Normally uh in like hardware bullinger terms cover material finish if you if you're talking about a new device and some says tell me about the C M F or if they're just talking about some design process, C M F is color material and a nothing products. Usually being clear is a pretty key thing to note here. So C M F being clear, plastic, glassy for everything that they make. Well, not that C M F makes so, but what A C M F, C M F is going to make. What a smart watch is that the plan?

So there is A A league that has three products. It's a sixty five, what charger? Okay, a pair of ear buds. Smart watch. That's what this is that they are the watch pro t pro that looks just like an apple water that looks exactly like the, uh, renders we all were getting before the watch of tricking out when I was called the watch pro, which is just like .

a square.

like flat aged square, rounded corners.

So yeah says this .

not look like the old renders for the apple watch ultra before I was confirmed yeah and .

I just says an orange band .

IT also kind looks like my new caso yeah is that a is that the cm of that? Um yes. So there's some leagues about these couple of things we're doing.

Um apparently, carl says that C M F is going to be A A separate team that is going to be focused on clean design for these new products. Um they will be IT seems like they're going to be cheaper than their products right now. Making Better design, more accessible is their goal.

That was supposed to be the go of nothing.

The entire the C, M, F logo looks like C M T. Just think kind of weird. I like that. Um but yeah, this watch looks like the render of the apple watch ultra before we knew what IT actually .

IT just looks .

like a square like iphone with out like nothing. Watch this on IT spiral um couple specks apparently from this one point nine six Emily display six hundred and peak brightness fifty years refresher y software claims to have a hundred watch faces and one hundred workouts to that I can track hard rate blood oxygen sensors battery that last up the thirteen days when always on display is turned off will not run where O S Price point is apparently forty five hundred rupees which if you convert that is around fifty five. U S, D.

That's crazy.

That's concerning.

I yeah.

that's really there's a certain point and things that are like we can mostly, but this goes all over the places like Price points. We like things that are cheap. But there is a point that so cheap that you just wonder.

if you like, how is the world? Is this exactly? Yeah.

this seems like when you would go on amazon and search for smart watch, the first that would C M F. Smart watch, thirteen day battery life, I P, sixty seven.

blue, five, one hundred.

twenty five. The product does here .

have .

thirty five dollars.

Those all have the same. Probably six hundred needs display, one hundred.

The soldier watch .

the paya hundred and that's exactly .

interest in .

their defense. The pebble smart watch was ninety nine dollars like ten years ago, and that is awesome.

IT was but I didn't have a real screen that had was not just so of year yeah, but it's also .

been like ten years here. So if it's slightly Better with a real screen, I could see how they could gets that Price. This is five .

starts with one hundred one thousand ninety three .

ratings I feel like I see was going on, which is nothing yeah the brand nothing .

I think .

wants to always have clear products, but coral wants to also be able to sell other products aren't clear. And their orange because all .

of these weeks are orange.

maybe orange, the copied, but cm is their way of indicating this one is not clear. And so that allows them to sell ear buzz that aren't clear. And of course, we can make a clear if to spend more money to, like, do the extra design work and like decide to put the glue and how to organize the cables and make IT a good clear, right? So these are not going to be as expensive as the clear nothing stuff. Nothing becomes a more premium. This designator and cmf is just this stuff is not clear, clear doing.

No idea. Yeah.

there could be there could be a nothing smart watch later, but I would expect that one to clear up two theories o OK.

One is that remember, like last year, the year before when literally everyone started making wireless ear buds, and it's just because they have like the highest margins of any product that you can make making wireless, but is insane, cheap and because they are individually individual people lose individual ones all the time and just buy .

cheaper on amazon and a few other major chip companies essentially put out S O S that ah ah elf yeah like yeah you pretty much just have to design act like I have plenty of .

friends who like lose their boys, they go name as long. They literally just search wireless about buy them and that is and so I think probably what they're thinking is like we should just make this like all treaty cheap tech that as really high margins that could like help lift up nothing because they had to up the Price of the nothing here. One because they said the Martin's were too low.

one because that is the other and in at the yeah and cheaper. Um the other .

thing is sort of the comparative analysis that I think we've done viols on before or it's like if you have something that's worse, you can position nothing. The brand as being the premium brand, even know nothing's original. Point was to be the affordable brand. Now they can make them see more premium and they slowly .

slide the Price up and they sort of you you turn the cheap one into the the cash cow, I guess, in a way that can prop up the rest of business. You can do lower margin, more interesting stuff, nothing. But you still saw the below at cheaper buds.

IT is weird though, because there's only one competing product, betwen, the two, which is the ear buds. And if this says it's going to be like making making Better design more accessible, I would assume that either these are cheaper than nothing or there saying nothing designers and this is Better.

I seem the word accessible just means cheaper.

yeah. So like we're assuming that these are going to be cheaper. So nothing here. Sticks are ninety nine, but these are called buds pro. So maybe this could be ninety nine, but there Better and then cheaper than the year two. And I am a little confused, but there is only one product that's actually like directly comparable, which is airports. Because the smart watch nothing doesn't have and the charger nothing doesn't have ah but nothing as phones and C M F doesn't have right a key reading. C M, yeah, when I really look at IT yet.

yes.

you think they're going .

to do a phone eventually? Oh.

kid just wouldn't clear it's .

not clear with how.

So yeah, but I don't know fifty five dollars for smart watch. I think that runs to the point where i'm getting very skeptical.

Yeah, I mean, I think the ideal comparison is gonna over thirty to six to our smart watches. If they can compete with those, then that's just where you want to be. You get lots of amazon reviews. You get lots of people just searching smart watch on google grab in the one that looks like it's the most interesting. You get IT in shelves and best buy and all that stuff like .

that's how you really to do. I get people searching for wireless is just wireless zone searching mart watch zon, which I just I have a hard time believing that thirty thousand, I know, but I just such a hard time believing people .

look for that because you look on IT. Does IT say it's like number four in like smart watches or whatever.

Oh, ah, let me see because I can .

see what the number one selling smart watches and I almost guarantee its under one hundred three thousand people have bought the toppers.

The only thing I worry about that is like amazon gaming things though like giving things away for free and counting as verified cells. There's a lot of weird ways you can gain the system, 嗯。

even an amazing fit. Smart launches are as low as like .

what that wants. Fifteen dollars. How much is there of the margin on that? You can even buy watch pen for fifteen dollars.

I feel I don't know, apple watch band or hundred .

dollars in the smart watch view. I feel like there's so many people who don't think of things, just smart watches. They think them as fp IT or they think of them as apple watch is like they just know the name of IT and they searching those name. So are so confused. If you out there are using an amazon smart watch.

And please let us know, please let us know.

I would love to hear how would actually works. We bought the number one selling one once and open in like this doesn't look bad. And then just never thought about IT ever again. Yes, my watch. Yeah, we bought on a while ago because we wanted to do a video on IT.

And I just don't think had a hard time getting myself to care about IT something about that thing. This is thirty dollars.

I'll be interested to see how this C, M, F stuff goes through. I mean, that looks nice. Like, listen, IT looks good. I always thought the apple watch ultra pretenders looked good. IT looks like an iphone .

got one hundred workouts, right? So that's that's the watch. I don't have really much else say about that. No, we should talk to about this this play station thing though that happened now there was this last week, the week last week, this last week also. Okay, so I guess summary playstation portal portal porto playstation portal because P S.

P S playstation portal, I think that's my family.

So it's called the playstation portal. IT was announced, uh, last week. And basically, if you haven't seen the thing, what IT is is actually kind of interesting. It's a do shot controller split in half with an eighteen screen in the middle.

It's exactly what a seventeen year old with a photoshop controller. S in the my joy cons were .

a police station controller. But the do shock .

controller is really nice, like you still has all the haptics know that the Better, less not amazing. But okay, you have the do shop controller wherever you want, and you have the screens. Now you don't have to be in front of TV.

I can be on the couch. I can be in the basement. I can be one of the covers in my room playing video games.

And no one can tell because I got IT in my laps and eating, screen the bathroom, whatever. Yeah, exactly in the bathroom, whatever. yes.

So so you've got that. You've got a two hundred dollar Price tag. And so all of us saw this and thought, well, that's actually really intriguing ing.

Like I I like the p5。 I played the games on the p5。 I wonder if I want to get one of these things. Then you earn the of, like how IT works, what IT does, what IT doesn't do, right? First of all is a remote play device.

Basically, what you need to know about what that means is it's not really doing a lot of much of any actual processing on the device. What's happening is you need to also have A P, S five, and that P, S. Five needs to be on and connected to the internet and your playstation portal, while it's also on a connected to the internet, will then use your playstation fives compute processing to show the games on your little display in your hands.

So as this eight inch, I think ten eighty p sixty hours, it's cheap. It's just like bring the game from the TV to another room in your own house basically. I mean, I assume you can play on wifi somewhere else, but then you start to deal with late and sea and like how good is the internet connection wherever you're at?

So yeah, I think we confirm that. I think, uh, generative video on doing IT, but he was unable to test this. And like he said, he asked them about using them on my first somewhere else.

They said, sure, but is like depends on your connections. So that's like i'm sure you can get great connection somewhere and that's never something. Look, ford.

this is the world cloud gaming. You've seen what it's like to just streaming youtube video. Imagine streaming a tenny p youtube video with live illan cy controls on your other stuff like it's it's not going to be as good as playing on couch.

But sure yes, I thought you is not compatible with playstation cloud.

It's not compatible places cloud but you can connect to via wifi to your your questions to us to be turned on and yeah but you can make the link to you.

But it's never streaming a game from the internet, always streaming IT.

It's not like a sta ah they don't have data centers that are extreamly the games to you.

Just going is the first of so many questions .

I have about right? Yes, you need a place station for is the baseline thing. Yeah, you need a good internet connection.

And then the computer from your place station five is what's being shown on handheld controller. Yeah, that's the number one. Okay, fine.

Two hundred books are not shocked by that. I think that's not the crazier thing. I was not already I was shock. It's not as interesting anymore, but IT is not a shocked to me at that Price. I guess I could say that that way um but then mother weird things started to pop up the early do the worst one to have phone one of .

the blue tooth, the blue truth okay. The worst one is that this does not support bluetooth and instead uses a protocol that only two pairs of SONY ear buds and headphones use. Not even their existing headphones have this protocol.

They just released two new pairs of your bets and headphones that have the protocol. So there is the only things that you can listen to audio through IT with unless you use that adventure. Ack, yeah.

So IT has a headphone jack. nobody. But if you want to connect wireless headphones to your playstation portal, you can't just go in blue to settings. Connect your SONY mark lives, even though SONY makes them, uh, you, what's the protocol called .

I O I so much about this? The play station link cation c, and it's so confusing a because there is already a so anything called police station .

like I thought so and b.

it's like what at first, you know, SONY loves proprietary audio cotex. So I assumed that they had just made like a super lowly and see one for gamers. But that's not that's not what they did with no, it's it's like that would mean they were like using blue tu to encode where they were transmitting over .

blue es and in free, whatever.

As far as no one's like, use the words wifi direct, but as far as I can tell us that this is a wifi direct based thing OK. Um because they eventually want .

IT to be like .

way hairband with higher band with lower latency and Better multi networking. So because I think what .

they are .

going for eventually is you'll be able to seamlessly move from .

your play station to the .

SONY laptop to your like I think we're gonna roll just able to your .

console is probably most they say mac and PC you're .

gonna get IT eventually announce the other thing because if it's not wifi direct, I don't know how they would just assume that x and pcs could have start transmitting this new like wireless is kind of invention. They it's .

gotta use an existing, an existing thing with .

just a modified protocol, not .

necessarily SONY definitely .

capable of. Apple is never going to be. So have one and done something crazy worse, even worse .

here .

about the two hundred dollars. Yeah and they look .

dollars, they look over. So this would all be OK if IT was an option, but IT isn't. It's the only thing like if I had blue tooth and and also, oh, if you want low late and we've got this special thing that give you the Price of you.

that's reasonable. I like, I do like low lencs and wireless earbuds when playing games is one thousand percent of problem like I totally get that. But like that started valley, you don't need mobility and see or something he i'm just saying, man, you're fine with that couple million there.

Yes, player, but it's just so funny because the year buds are two hundred dollars. The council is the council, the handle to other hand. And you can do anything unless you also have a PS five, which is like, what? Four hundred.

five hundred dollars can we pull them out for all the kids this Christmas? We are going to get. I was just, they're going to get play station portable. H, I know timmy, we've really wanted to get you a play station, but it's been impossible for all these years, but we finally got you one, so you can.

T, who think they are going .

able to play me like I want to turn. It's not all that says the apps can't know.

That happened to me once my parents got me. That gets hard for gets her hero, but not the. That's so so for a whole year, I was waiting for the game that they promised .

they would get me never got that.

yeah. There so many more kids are happen .

to a non zero number of people we've been trying to .

think of like the scenario of when this makes the most sense and IT feels like get stems down to you're sharing the T V with people in your family and you want to just like plan the couch or someone else is watching something, something that's like the main reason a you know, you just can't stop that sigma ground set of just your game. So like when you're cooking or going to the bathroom or walking around the house, you need to make sure you're just grinding away the entire time.

But like the p5, not portable. So you've one TV in your house and you've got A P, S, five, but someone else watched in the game. So you want to still play on the P, S, five. So you just take the play station portal and take you to another room.

And you can still play P, S, but you can already do that with a remote play, just like on an on your phone or something.

Yeah, I mean, this is like a nice dedicated dual shock eighteen screen and experience and hopefully is like a nice playing experience. Could games .

like incorporate IT IT like so you could use both the T.

V. And then like we been calling this, this feels like that we you can .

should the be most successful nintendo product.

I will say you can turn on your P, S, five remotely with the controller. yes. So even if you're like, if you're like staying somewhere else, I do have really good wifi. You can turn on the P S, 5 from the other .

place .

if .

you in, if you are going going on a trip and are going to be in the hotel and you just like being play your PS five at the hotel, two hundred dollars it's like, yeah maybe but it's definite like a luxury accessory that has a lot of limitations. That's gona confuse a .

lot of parents. I want to know hotels are staying good enough wifi to do this.

Yeah I am very curious about the um latency because when steady at first launched um I was like testing IT before I came out and I was like fine for like five minutes and then I would just get awful for five minutes and then fine for five minutes and awful .

for five minutes just yeah so I trying to watch a youtube video in high quality and give a garbage and I connection IT sort of cycles between Crystal clear and then like one forty p yeah while IT catches up and then it's cryo clear for five seconds .

again and then it's one forty back in the day, back in O, G, included an iphone youtube. Back the the T, V. Yeah in the day before IT would like in back in the days when I would buffer an entire video as soon as you loaded at IT did you have the spot on your phone or you if the buffering made IT past there? Yeah probably good all through .

the video and yeah good yeah one .

little like nick on the edy you're to there. I got IT with .

little home video and you just for yeah doesn't do I .

also want to note um oh yeah, I also want to note that is kind of funny that they're just now releasing like a streaming device when we can went through this like handheld streaming device thing like two years ago and then last year with like there's a razor one and then there was like there's so much but now the thing is having this year is dedicated console computers, like the steam deck with a real compute like the a swan, like windows yeah yeah like real computer power in them and those are getting more and more popular and then they released .

ed this and it's like IT feels like I really wonder because like as much as we all understand this is almost in product. I wonder how many like Normal Normally will see this and be like, oh yeah i'd get that like and I think kids are still living in .

their parents house and have civilians and stuff where the playstation connected on the biggest T V, which is also the T V in the family room that people want to want games or other shows and movies on, and you just want to play games. Yeah this this actually makes perfect sense. IT is such a shame because so many people remember like the veta and stuff like that and like or wants some sort of cloud streaming service like handled this isn't that and is really disappointing.

I mean, tire team that communis also like this thing is a joke and I also when .

I was a kid and I up like playing my game q and then my doud would come home from work and he put the news on and be like, I just stopped.

Only had a game cube portal.

The switch came out. That was like the cool thing to me. I was like I could be playing on the T.

V. I just grab the switch off the dock and keep playing you. So I mean, and the switch smash IT.

that's true, makes you think .

there is something to IT, but I would like to see how the sales are and .

what how IT goes. Continue to hate on IT on uh, we do want to take one more quick trivia break. We also after the break, we've to talk about a the fortnight map of our entire studio, which was absolutely incredible thing. And also google shockingly leaking something doesn't happen often .

but the week weird .

ww weird they get ahead of themselves sometimes. Um but before that, let's do one more trivial question, preferably one that we all know.

one that I know. So i'm .

thinking about buying a new TV shopping around. And i've come to the conclusion that TV Prices are are literally random. The people upstairs are roll dice and what TV Prices based on that.

So I went to best bite our com and I got the Prices of all ninety nine fifty five inch televisions sold the best way um and so I have all that data in front of me. We can do all sorts of things with IT, but I think the most fun is Prices right rules. These questions worth two points. What is the most expensive fifty five inch T, V, sold at best by Price? What is the least expensive five inch .

TV solid?

Two point each year.

one point eight, two point out going over and Prices without going under. Both overload st, both over.

both over OK. yeah.

Is the four .

care or .

just fifty five, fifty five, five? Okay, noted. I might think about that went for a little bit right? And we'll indulge in the state later very back.

This is what you do when you've just found that statement handbag on ebay and you wants to build an entire wardrobe around that you start selling to keep buying you on ebay over that all black everything face listed and buy all the color feeling more vintage than ever. It's out with the new and end with the pre love. Next thing you know, you've refresh your wards, be basically without spending a dime. Yeah, easy. The place to buy and sell new preload vintage and rare fashion sport .

Next week dot com flash away from. Welcome back. Um I just want you have to know if you were ever wondering what IT looks like to be seven inches tall and run around our studio.

You can do IT now in fortnight. So that's something I got to do recently. So this company, you want to explain what happened? We they just like made every yeah .

I thought this was like a pretty cool example of just if we have a studio video on IT and there is also a video made by the people who created the map on how they made IT. Both are awesome, both the the show note.

But um this company reached out to us and I think this is a perfect example of how to properly reach out to a company that you want to work with because rather than just daming us since or emAiling us and saying, hey, we have this idea we want to make this studio inside a fortunate how can we do IT, they emailed us and said, here's a ten minute video of your studio and for my night that we did all of the work with, this is what IT looks like, if you're interested. Reply, yeah. And was this crazy video that I kind of hit from all of you guys? Intel, I could talk with them and figure out how to play.

IT, yeah. And then we got you guys all of your reactions in the video, and I was really fun. But they made the the whole studio a playbook map inside a fortnight that you can now, depending with an island code, go and play for free, at which is wild. And they did, made the whole thing by themselves, gave IT over to us so that we could launch IT with epic because they have this new creator economy, which is really cool and and customizable maps, but it's out there.

You can play IT. So I don't play fortnight. When I did, when I did actually play in, I was like, this seems like a really good fortnights map, like our studios broken down into different rooms and then every room has like all kinds of stuff in IT and like there's all kinds of places to hide stuff. So and we didn't I didn't really do any like building stuff that happens before. I was just like running.

Look, I don't think there is building in this day. I think later. It's right now set up as team death match.

I just go around and there's guns and and like there's a lot of cool mobility items. So there's like a grape hook and jump has lots of different levels. When you're seven inches, you're basically like a mouse as mice at a rat running around like on the floor. Um play at super fun. I played a bunch IT seems I heard we just got featured as like one of the best new U E F N map. So I guess where more people are playing IT, which is really cool to try again, we should have like a night, one night where we all play, but it's really cool and crazy detailed and the parking room we're sitting in right now is in IT, like very meticulous.

ly made sitting, scary a stuff. I ran around looking ff of the interesting fun details, all shades or, oh, the carpet ends here. And here's where the cement floor starts, but like the orientation of the lights, and like where all of our chairs are, you can go up into the h back and down from.

You can go into the pool table. Like all these crazy you strikes, it's pretty safe. You should go watch IT and then play IT if you play.

Yes, IT was a company called base D F um there from the netherland. So it's not like the even we're like around here looking they so how did all of this from across the sea and that we know of, that we know of very fair. I don't believe they've been in here.

There are people actually concerned for her safety in that video because of how accurate IT was. But we were okay, okay. They did IT through some other ways, I guess, through our whole studio on the internet, like a thousand times, you can peace together.

Just put a lot of work to you in. K, yes, IT was really cool. Go give me a try.

I ve found that our studio tours to become increasing useful, surprisingly. And other things that we do, like some photography team, came here the other day and they were like scouting locations. They were like, we're going, we want to take some pictures and it's going to be really cool.

We want to stage something up. And actually, we washed your whole studio tour online. So we had some ideas based on what we saw.

We'd like to shoot here. And here I like go, great so yeah, this is, this happened before. This is actually pretty sick. The people get used that stuff so shut up to the studio tours yeah ah we ask when we want to mention and talk about, is google accidentally leaking something uh, if you didn't catch the sarcasm, my voice, it's because, uh, i'm not good at IT, but google league stuff all the time uh, mostly in the world of pixel. This one was the pixel eight uh, litten image on the website and this just a guy hold up pixelate on the phone and I guess on his wrist is what looks like a slightly different smart watch or not sure if that's the pixel watch and new pixel watcher, whatever. But end of the public .

watcher speculation fees here think this got posted. I think David might city and an election like is that possibly a pixel watch league too? And then we looked at IT.

I guess the verge made article. And then after they made that, everyone commented that so made another article. The watch looks a little different IT could be lighting IT could be angle.

Yes, but but is definitely picky.

It's definitely .

like one thousand .

people .

know looks .

like a camera cut out around. It's the bar still there. But the flash and the camera has look a little different, but it's still got the pixel bar, looks like a pixel. It's not the you know the three monitor oh yeah this .

moor leak that about .

IT that went through yeah I take your temperature. If you put IT up to your head where exactly three years after the sound have been useful, you just wrap IT around your forehead and get a general sense of .

you can still get sick.

that's true, you know, thing out there. But is that enough for you to buy a phone with that as a primary new .

feature over the country? Picking the big because you like taking your temperature a lot. I can stop you. Yeah, the good. I'm happy that features can stop .

you like els, like a nex feature, like nexus phones used to do weird stuff like that.

Yeah, yeah. I mean, honestly, what i'm most hoping for a pixel is like basic stuff like tensor g three, to be good and efficient and fast. Like that most of what I want for the new pixel.

probably what happened yet because I think that g four is when they go to T S M C, I think the same sung again. I do think it's a node shine check that's good, maybe foreign. Let me check well.

while you check that yeah this watching this picture, the reason that kind of looks maybe like a new and is IT seems like it's less rounded in bubbly on top. And then IT also looks like .

the digital crown has a digital crown.

an official apple regular. What's a called is just called a crowd, a dial IT looks like it's covered. So like, right, kind of looks. Weight there in that photo, again, could be lighting. But hey, the pixel watch design, a little flatter, little less bezel cool accent on the crown.

Will I keep trying to pair to you across?

I was thinking that the best part about using my zen phone is that more picks a watch doesn't try to connect to IT every time I want back anymore. Um but that would be nice along with a lot of other things about IT like batteries. But but you can see that and the .

leak of a league can't tell I don't know how they can make the pixel watch the thinner that seems the .

lasting eight one watch don't .

want pretty thin and has a pretty .

I guess this is the part back already. Yes, but IT looks flatter in that picture. No, IT does. Yeah, I think less rounded would be maybe make you less like prone to just getting destroyed on the sides of IT. Any look, IT says .

that T S M C。 And twenty twenty five, yeah, with tenor g five.

So it's just we're just .

sitting g through right now.

Yeah the pixel tensor g two in the pixel fold is I can say IT is smooth, but IT is not efficient.

And I would really .

like you to be smooth and fish.

The modem is very power hungry .

and not great. Yeah, so great. Yeah.

it's fine.

It's fine. We shall see. We sound so. So I can. This is, this is only half way to the Normal pixel. Liquors like IT went .

on sale and somebody ought reviews on .

youtube already the authority they are still selling on ebay. yes. Now of that being said, I think that's IT for this week.

I'm sure next week be justice JPEG to get a lot more to get into. Some really good videos coming up by the time you washed this. There's a really good one that hopefully live will see. I'm working on IT now, so shout out to future me editing that. But I think we should get a teacher .

how to future me. And is this the casting video i'm editing .

the video that will go live around the time the podcast goes life. So shut off to future me editing IT. While this gets edited, they both come out of the same time. That would be that we shout out to future eating dinner tonight. nice.

You're right. Set out the thanks.

I can find anywhere in google documentation where they ever referred to IT as anything, the crown. They don't even use the word crown that I use the word nob. I can, I can even find a reference to the fact that it's on the watch.

watched up. I know .

that anyway.

I T doesn't .

like the pic exist .

if there's .

a pixel watch for sale, but nobody buys my job.

Keep getting so in anyway trivia question number one. Oh, but .

actually .

first click up on the score. My is with five. Andrew with one, Carry just two. David with six. All right. First question, according to assess the assets name is actually a reference to what greek mythological creature when .

you guys see the answer, you're going to be like, oh my god.

I really hope I David.

I right before you said that I had an idea and think I feel very confident about IT.

How do you feel thodore creatures? We're way of saying i'm wrong.

You're really think i'm going to get the wrong out then i'm going feel alright.

flipper and read what we got.

yes.

Ah, you're right. I knew .

my is okay, dave pais, I like like that means it's like pigs is delicious. Say.

happened. They used to be called peaces and then they got split. The two companies.

IT was the .

other company .

called .

the that's.

It's honey.

so much work. How does that where a suit code from .

I said was megas and .

they got aces and pegi on IT was called peg is named patron a us.

I'm not as bothered by the access. Anyway, markets, what did you put? I rode A U. S, because great pond would not great.

not a creature.

And that's why i'm wrong. That's why i'm wrong.

It's wrong because, alison, I were talking about this. We were wondering if I should call IT a creature or a character because there's only .

one pegs is .

um yeah it's .

not like A A yes but it's .

also a character so I thought creature would .

be like a little bit but are there other flying horned horses just the not called pages .

no okay they do have a brother but it's .

not a horse oh yeah anyway.

the song about tvs best by tvs, best by fifty five inch. What is the cheapest when they sell and what is the most expensive when they sell? I'm not asking for models of asking for Prices and um.

This this does not include magnolia products. It's best by the brand that's best by is like super high end. I remember these television are fifty five inches. With there and is closest I going over.

I have been wrong. They need to started as issues and then spun off package on. That's what I found. Yeah, I think that's what actually happened.

Yes, that's fine to start with most expensive.

So I just that's fine for most .

expensive. I put thirty two hundred dollars alright.

I put twenty two ninety nine all right.

I put forty four ninety .

nine markets takes this one the most expensive fifty five inch T V sold at best by costs eight thousand. And hello alis rovin here um yesterday while doing the trivia question, I turned on the stupidest part of my brain and somehow totally missed that this seven thousand dollar TV is a is a mirror. It's expensive because it's also a mirror.

That's why it's so expensive, so dim and also in a mirror. Anyway, the second highest one is six thousand dollars, is a fifty five, eight, four K, T, V. Intended for the outdoors. So it's super, anyway, cheapest TV.

Ah, I wrote one ninety nine one.

okay, I one one nine.

one one nine.

I look one. Unfortunately.

all three of you have gone over. The cheapest T, V at home is one hundred and twelve.

Wait on clearance though, always is. IT.

Yeah, that a clearance?

Oh my god.

So four hundred and forty, exactly.

This is is unavailable.

unavailable nearby. But nobody, no, I it's in store .

in brookline right now. Do I confirm i'm eight .

dollars over .

this is confirmed .

that when shopping for A T V, you can literally pick a random number and you will find A T V in the size you want wo .

for why is that on clearance .

for it's Normally .

five hundred eight. That thing must catch on fire. That thing one hundred .

percent and a build.

O.

for fifty five votes. An amazon brand, oh, it's their amazon brand. T, V.

it's four k did you say, yeah, you can get a four k fifty five age amazon and A T, V for two .

hundred and two fire T V built and .

all they do a spon here every day.

eight, fifty five. There are not that expensive.

Yes, that's under one thousand, but one hundred.

And twonette .

the an experience.

Glad we .

now know just how many different Prices are fifty five, and i'm glad that I learned about patron. And thanks for watching. Thanks for listening. And I will catch you guys next week.

Please are a new sense.

Way forms produced by adam aland revenue department of vox media podcast network and our international music was created by the inside.

That's not a question.

Let's go.

The f one fifty was like a word.

It's a red condenser cover. I didn't know they did that.

You didn't to that hard.
