What is up? People of the internet? Welcome back to another episode of the way form podcast where a host of Andrew and i'm David E E.

Another like a bunch of grab bag headline type things where they are not necessarily hour on them, but we have thoughts. And we figured the fund, what to organize them again would be what we did last time, which people really like. And I also really like, we are going to do again, hands .

in .

a hat.

That everything had. Sick, put a just put .

my fingers in there and might .

be hard to get the headlines out of you. yes. So what the format .

so you're just .

you hold the hat and just go around a pick.

Yeah, yeah, I have. But I I put the full headline to so you read out the headline will will also post all the headlines in the showers for anyone who wants .

to read up and OK I was and here we go, are glad they go. Second first one, the headline that i've grabbed a fortune cookie, yes, it's kind of folded like comcast latest wifi six device aims to keep you online during a storm calling. I saw this headline before I ask, like switches to sailor something?

yeah. I want to preference this spicing. I don't like giving congress credit. So I think we can all just throw that out there at first.

But yeah, were you A I still you're gonna zero .

up and zero down. To be fair.

my internet is the best part of that congress. I get great internet speeds from, and that all works. My T, V know the story.

Anyways, I thought this was pretty cool. There are basically have this like modem rather combo that is like they're calling storm ready. So in case of a power outage, IT can switch to cellular tg service, IT said, which was, i've never heard you. Yeah, I know trump was only looking for six.

was I no ten ten gig .

about solution service. There we can pull up the article here to mention IT, but especially switching to cellular service and a four hour battery backup. So if you go down, you're not most things are saved anyways, but you stuff internet.

The one worst thing about power age for the first fifteen minutes is usually that the international just went down yeah. And then you slowly realize all the other things are off. But that's the first thing yeah. They notice. I think it's a like.

this is a pretty cool idea. I kind of like IT. It's only available with um expense service obviously um through their own stuff. IT is two hundred fifty two dollars for the modem or seven dollars a month. And surprisingly, the secular service is included in that. So I think i'm not sure if that attacks on top of what if you're already like renting of the moto rider from them or whatever, but I don't think the Price is that much different from Normal renting from them. Yeah, um I think this is all pretty cool.

Who does IT only work with their writers?

I like, yeah, I think it's only with their router .

that's depressing.

I'm guessing it's just like my people to basic back up. Yes.

like I would be fast. It's an interesting idea. My one thing is like Normally when the power goes out, it's feel like a day because she's like the power doesn't go out as much anymore and there's like really, really bad storm. So four hours will give me that initial, I think, fix. But yeah.

this is smart, both on their end and look IT only makes sense for their writers because they have come cat explicit wireless st or something exciting. They have a solution network now OK. So they probably build those bans into the routers.

And that's why they only work on these routers, which is very smart for them because then IT gets them to, uh, have you rent IT on yeah by one faces? I hate the fact they always have to rent routers from these companies by default. Um but that makes sense because they have they have bans and there where is like issue. So whatever router company you use for your router is not going to have like four g bans through this.

wouldn't you? Because at this point now, the modem and router are the same through major cable companies like this. Like I have the exit ity gateway at home, but I plugged IT into my army wife I system. So would I not be able to use my my wireless router as just then the internet plug goes wired into that, and I hook up from, like that.

but think I could that do they .

have a couple of modem? E, it's so then. But then what I do is I just then wire that out, turn the wifi off on that. And then so I think you'd be able to do that. I can't tell the difference between internet guys.

I don't they are really good at knowing exactly what hardware is. Yes, my first dog was actually how would I .

game this use?

Well, just to use a cell ler. I don't know if it's that great that I would want to use a cellular, but if I was like, I would just unplug IT from the wall and IT would think, oh, the powers out. And then I would start giving me cellular for four hours until I plug IT back in.

Or can you like if you have like an external battery that accepts like an ac power out like a regular plug, could you plug IT in to get more than four hours because I have like a car battery jump that could I do more on that? Or do they like also plan in the we don't want using that data? P there's also I think that .

probably just work as long as they yeah, yeah, that's cool. Er, I think I think that's pretty.

I think a lot of people in our world could take that and be on the internet for a while, figure out how to make that last one year.

especially considering a most power out just only last like an hour to .

like it's a real sure I feel like a real the power .

were not here .

the other day or not the power, the internet, five minutes and we were .

all just .

just staring any child to go home papers like, ohh. Well, in case I did mention that, we did the solar video and I like talked all about the whole things like a hf hour video, and I mentioned in part of IT, like if you have a power outage, you literally don't know because the battery just kicks in and like the light flicker for a second. And then I just all the other houses are dark and the street light out.

The corner is off. I guess i'm on battery power and literally like the next day driving home or like that weekend, there is a huge storm, like a really, really windy storm that blue through right after we had practice. And as i'm driving home, there's like trees in the street and like power edit and I drove pass a huge tree that fell on a power line and was like, that's bad and I got a notification on my phone that said, um there's a power outage. There's a power outage for like twelve hours, and everything is perfectly .

find because .

I had battery and solar. Everything is still powered. And internet was fine. Yeah, somehow? Yes, the internet can say, like.

and get taken out. What do you files fies undergo?

I think .

that my house is not underground .

because i've seen IT get knocked out before and be lying in .

my front lawn. And I had to.

like, point in my night that cable, right, directly put that back in, please. It's not underground. But that was fine. I was just like down the back, the power, not word I delicate but .

imagine this wife, I think back in Sandy feel like my I would have been so much nice .

I know power for two weeks oh, cool.

Next line, David, i'm ready. Forty thousand dollars to spend on the technology okay? Um samples is a new way to discover youtube music's deeper library. Not sure. Yeah, we talked about this a little bit and slack this week.

I missed this conversation so but I thought this was kind of interesting.

So something that youtube music is doing, which is good because youtube music hasn't really updated in a long time and is pretty far behind a lot of other options. Um something that they do are very unique actually. And I think that a lot of people just haven't really tried them because you have to have youtube premium. But kind of youtube music separate from me to prime, I think you probably can um key fact check that. Well indeed.

thanks.

But basically samples is this thing that you can do. Where are that? It's a new tab that they have now need to music APP where IT looks kindly like tiktok.

But what I will do is music videos and also officially recorded live shows of different bands that you might like will basically play on your phone and it'll just crop the sides out. So it's a vertical crop. And IT plays using like A I IT plays the most exciting part of the song.

So it's a music discover ability feature that is similar to similar to like what spotify is trying to do IT with their tiktok grow feature thing. I think that they made a very prominent on the home page for a while. Forced was now it's like either hit in or they just away.

I think I that's what they did, right? Yes.

what spot tii did here. Yeah so I think this is pretty cool. Um it's unfortunately only like officially recorded music that's been invented by like the companies that own the music because I really like like footage that people take IT shows like I look, I like to think to those kind of things. But considering it's a music discover ability service, I think it's understandable that they wanted to be a high quality stream.

Youtube doing something on copyright right all right. Now in terms short, i'm sure that has a plays a big world in IT. I mean, I think this is really cool.

I wonder if you don't have a music video. They can really do this, right? So then or the live show like .

you mentioned, yeah, I don't know, because they haven't really rule that out. Yeah so i'm not really sure if they're going to have like you know on spotify theyll have like a repeating kind of just like clip over and over again. Even if they don't have a music video, the artist can upload a like default pete clip to play in the background. I don't know they'll have something like that, or if he has to be directly sourced from either a music video or .

an official live show. I look vin so does, because they don't always have music videos, but the'd just have like the album, like on a high rise record, like spinning looks.

I like visual. Yes, I think youtube music is to do that, but not youtube music. Sorry, google play music.

And I think they used to do the record spinning, cool. Yeah, yeah. So yeah.

Also youtube music, ten, nine, eight month wow.

really that's a yeah .

I would be premium .

went up recently though, right? It's like at and didn't I feel .

like every they all just kind of keep going up so each one goes up by like two dollars and staggering for over the years so that .

they can release a cheaper one that still has something like um but I I mean, obviously we've seen that tiktok has becomes somewhat of a music discover ability APP a kind of as a secondary nature thing like we've realized that we fall in love with really catchy clipsed of songs.

I just wonder if this I still think tiktok might be Better at making things Better viral versus this is like if you're specifically trying to discover yeah but like not all the time music videos are that interesting to see. So i'm just swiping through. Unfortunately, the first thing I still catches my eye is the visual aspect of IT. So like I wonder how much I will be scrolling through this and how quickly or or how long you'll stay around them.

And you say that youtube music is it's ten ty.

nine for an individual plans.

thirteen, nine and nine from youtube premium, which comes with the youtube music. Yes, that seems like a good deal. And that everyone that i've ever talk to that has youtube premium is like this is the best thing ever, which I completely agree with. But and if you get the family plan, it's like really jeep because .

you put six people on IT something about I like video .

libraries pretty yeah it's pretty good, pretty good. angry. So yeah the more the the tiktok of vacation of .

the world continues, when do one more before at break? Sure at least. okay.

yeah. I got the best on good. Did you write Manda? Yeah, yeah. L, G, now sells this bizarre T.

V. In a new case.

And I must have IT sorry. I mean, I must .

have IT. I didn't. I agree. So, L, I relieves something. It's called the stand by me.

go. No, no, no. You .

added .

A D. I'm going to just explain exactly what this is. I'm not exaggerating or lying about any of this.

IT is a brief case and the only thing inside the brief case is a twenty seven L G T V that supports airplane screen marring and is a touch screen and is a touch screen though, and a battery and speakers and speakers in a USB c part. And that's IT. It's just a brief case that opens up bomb TV. And there's endless weird scenario that this becomes like kind of interesting to have this.

And also were audio listeners. I feel like if everyone is picturing a suitcase with A T, V in IT, you're assuming IT falls open and the top half of the success has a screen built, right?

That's a fair. No, no, no.

no, no, no, my friend, L G you know, you love, hate L G, they think outside the box, or in this case, inside of a box. But IT literally has its own stands that pops out, yeah, and can vote porter OK come the rotation OK .

to the thing. This thing pops out. And rt is like floating in the suitcase. And then I can rotate ninety degrees to be in .

portrait orientation.

twenty. I don't know you would ever do that.

The whole thing is a thousand .

dollar hard.

Honestly.

this is the most samsung .

thing that not.

They did some weird lippy.

swapping the stand by me.

Go, you could run.

Who is? Who did the, the, the C. S. T, V that .

went to portrait was available. It's available to buy. I do not know why anyone wants that, because who wants to airplay tiktok to their TV that swims that .

like what they thought people were going to.

Why think that?

I don't know. But now you have a brief case TV. Ah you can do anything with .

a brief case TV. There's a lot of like maybe .

things anytime this is my favorite thing. Anytime you look at an ad for a product that's your best bet to see how the company who's making the product, imagine that the people who buy the product we use IT yeah when you pull up this ad, the first thing that pops up is IT on a table playing a video of a record player, well, just playing music out of the speakers, which so that you don't have a record place, but brief hits with A T.

V in IT, that plays a video of a record player. I love that's the first video. The second video is the same thing, but outside on a power table .

cool nothing about I parting, by the way, just saying I wouldn't put in any near pool is not in there. I have twenty p touch Green um three our battery speakers of vo although it's been out for two months internship and .

nobody talked about this is the best thing ever we have to get one of these. And i'm going to put this in the officers.

What are some of the other things in the there is the others.

My favorite is a there is a band on a roof top playing music, and they have IT on one of the speakers in portrait live streaming their music on tiktok. I don't know if that means there's a tiktok at building.

There's a phone next to IT.

So I must be screen mirrors. There's screen mirrors OK, but ironic reading.

Yeah, good. So you can see duct creator tool packs perfect into its so first .

many crane created tools, as I see company is in into this one.

actually makes one PC streams .

on twenty seven and stream marine.

Yes, I mean.

I would take this home, put IT on top of my credit. That's actually my riller L G T V. And then when I want a smaller screen, I put that. When I want a slightly bigger screen, I roll IT out halfway.

I'm sorry, this one is the best, the cat paying at a video of an aquarium. And probably actually .

they're play playing. You can play like checkers and like test the game once. Funny though.

because unless both people are standing out from the front, the the case doesn't look at the lays all the way down from so one parts always up ninety degrees that and like the blocks off.

we need to one of them. I'm sorry, we to this is dope tech markets.

哎, kind, don't disagree.

Just bring on the plane.

Yes, who .

needs a .

vision pro .

for this shady deals? They bring us suitcase full of money. This is how you can make shadie clipt o deals because you can just bring up your like prey, you're N F T, or you're like meta mask wallet or whatever that is. And then you can just you got the goods and he's got the handcuff. Success opens IT up, and then he just types .

in as as password to a big, and you get a free two hundred and fifty dollars spoon.

three sixty speaker. Why does this look like something you would get if you bought an N F T piece of art and they wanted to, like.

give you is more than any of IT is IT .

just feels like this is what they would chip IT in? Is this briefcase? I want to see my board APP in .

portrait?

Yeah.

that's a sod. one. amazing. I'm glad exist. Thank you. L G.

For continuing to do weird things we appreciate I need I might have to get one. I'll take a quick break. We come back. We have more headlines in a hat. But of course, before we take that break, let's do trivia.

trivia. We were talking about youtube music just a minute ago. What audio codec does youtube music use? Thank eia .

question.

or I will get IT wrong. One of the two or both or both. Oh yes, yes.

Think about IT. The answers, of course, are usually at the end, so 我不愿 带。

Downer some tack today.

Welcome back. His lives in the hat.

There's the more in the hat just around the all night. I go again. yeah. Okay, there we go.

turn. I got one.

This is a long wow. A long fortune. alright. IT says google chrome will summarize entire articles for you with built in generative A. I, you, to me, this, this is the downfall.

Civilization is exactly.

I rote right here, downfall of civilization. I want to talk about. I feel like this is pretty obvious. Yeah, no one reads .

anything anymore. So when we first started talking about things like ChatGPT, like when this first came under the scene and barred, and like also being specifically being and how you would like summarize articles for, you know, that stuff we had this long discussion about, like how is the internet still gonna? Because people need to read articles in order to for those websites to get paid to pay the people to write the articles so that people can read the articles.

And you know, being microsoft, they can just went very half hazard. And they're just like we need to be first. We to be first, we need to be first.

They just put out all these features, didn't really care about how I would affect the internet. Google took a very long time and we are like they're got a lot to lose. Of course, they're thinking very critically about how this effects writers, all the stuff I was going to work.

But the more time goes on, IT seems like they're not thinking very critically about how the vex readers and stuff currently there's something called the google search general experience, which you have enabled yeah me too. You can opt into IT anytime you google something IT basically like gives you a bullet list of your answer or just things related your question and IT does give you three top of the top source slinks that you can then click into. Not the best, but at least you're trying with this, you'll be on an article and I guess you're are to click on the article, right but then you click a button and that just has summarized this for me and I just gives you a bullet bulleted list of the .

main points of the article yeah because you're intro so you're in google chrome. You pulled up a website. It's got an article on IT like you know how you probably see sometimes that translate button or like I pull up a website that spanish let me hit the translation tn automatically gives me the english version, probably give you a summarized button, you click that probably a little bubble pops up over the top of the article with an add free short text box version of like a summary of the article, and then you catch info and the ups out. I my article reading habits are like, I guess like a kind of divided into a couple different categories like either read article for like all of the information in IT, like I am reading a review or i'm reading IT for like .

one fact and mean fact or i'm reading .

IT for entertainment yeah like a car review or like some random article about a story that's interesting and i'm reading because it's an entertaining article and I feel like this totally e races. All of those. yes.

Like if i'm reading for entertainment, i'm probably I don't want to use this feature, I want to read the article anyway. Entertainment, if I came for the fact like this, going to summarize and find the fact, just like md ewood. And if I came for like a review, I hate, say IT, but this is probably going to do a really good job of summarizing your review.

There's a reason like I think it's android police or android central. Probably all of the injured the website is probably do this now. At some point near the end of one, I was an injured authority. Everyone started making this like what you need to know, a section at the very top that which is a list of positives and negatives and and then they would also do the entire review yeah um although for some low, low browed stuff that not as many people are interested in, they would just do that um and that already of this seems like a problem. But there's inherently a very weird tension here because google traditionally has awarded articles that are longer m has displayed you more on, Better on google has ranked you Better on google if your article was longer.

if he was longer and like successfully delivered. Well, I don't think A I could necessarily understand that .

is the longer thing that has what's the um just called like bounce back where like if you go to what page and you leave very quickly bound. So like this longer staying oner reads .

how many words are in the article and there is part of their algorithm has traditionally been like, oh, if something is longer, that means it's more valuable information, which means we're going to rank higher over the years. They have tried to mitigate that because that LED to websites just feeling so much of like I remember one of the first articles I ever did right was like how to take a screen shot on the galaxy as for or something.

And I would be like the same galaxy as for, is the fourth generation of mobile phone in the same? And I just like I could literally write me see our article in my sleep like I was getting paid for one hundred words. So in an article that needed to be fifty words, I would make six hundred .

words every college paper.

But it's a terrible way to make the internet run. Um so IT creates this inherent tension where if google still is using length to sort of like ring things, but I think they're trying to get like change. It's just very weird that they would be like yeah like we suggested you this article bit. Now we're just going to shorten IT to what you originally could have written that anyway.

it's really the tension is funning because if they prioritizing length, but then also now are prioritising the short shorten version is clear that people were more into the shorten version. Yeah and like we make, we see this all the time with like i'll make twenty minute youtube video and people skip through the chapter isn't like read the top three comments and leave and all. That's how they behave sometimes. Also what you're talking about with reviews, when people have the sort of a summary of the review at the top before getting into the rest of the review. I don't run a site like that, but I would be willing to bet that a large portion of the traffic reads the first paragraph h and like the little summary at the top and then pieces out yeah like most people do that yeah so yeah people do prioritize like quickly in the access to the information they're after and and then leaving and that's what this is showing that they're trying to say.

The funny about this though is that google is trying to keep you on google that now with the current search general experience that isn't the article summary because they are like they've already bit in hot water for this before by like scraping wikipedia, just like putting IT within the google dot com website. And now they're doing that even more intensely, where they scrape website everything, just put IT in a ChatGPT s and I argue this.

what are talking about right now has the one step in IT that makes IT feel not as bad, which is getting to the people, you getting to the article and summarizing there. If that becomes a stay in your brain, your search list and like a pop up comes up summarizing IT, that's where the .

cats really I can do if .

that is to that, that's very bad .

of it's like there's a copilot in edge yeah right? That kind of does already like you'll be reading a paper or you know fifty page research paper and you just hit the summarized ed button and of course, yet super useful that I can give you like the bullet point at list of the most important facts from that paper. Ideally, it's actually accurate because it's trained on the paper that had just read for you but yeah summer zing articles or summarizing i'm guessing that says articles but it's chrome. You could summarize anything yeah summarize whatever web page on well.

So one thing about this is that says that the features designed to work only on articles that are freely available to the public on the so if you're be behind a pair IT doesn't work on payable, that makes sense. Yeah I I don't know. I also foresee a problem with like articles that are written with a lot of nuances or a lot of like um if you're being very like pedantic or just like language is very like flower, like I can say something in such a way that you know i'm joking and if the search general service dos give you all the context of i'm talking about before, IT could seem like like something out that I say that I don't actually mean and you know that .

I don't actually .

mean IT they don't noted as a bullet yeah .

just put as a bullet .

point yeah so IT doesn't understand sarcasm yeah .

exactly sound .

like to come so yeah, it's rolling out on mobile pretty here. And the will eventually move IT to the web. And very curious to try IT. But I also like.

why do you have to make everything?

Sorry, I know. No, it's okay. Recipes are the number one thing that should be sure I I agree saying with the .

articles is executed recipes notoriously. Do you know I make an abroad? What great do I need back in one .

and twenty nine? And I do think part .

of that in first search engine optimization, there's like some sort of copyright and there were like you need to include some form of like work around IT yeah to make to make that either be your recipe or so you don't get hit by somebody else if you want having the same, which is super common because food is food and people making. But please just can give me the freaking recipe .

x at the top, like every reviews do.

X so hard to .

find the actual recipe of ng S.

Tells you my grandma's favorite song when he was fourth. You just want to find .

that cup of nut and then get there.

Trigger me. And do you where can you explain that? When I was in college, I made a nutmeg las on you.

Um yeah he was .

he was a nutmeg, a lizana a that was made of a corn squash because I was a chain for like a decade and um I read well, I pull this recipe and IT said that IT required a pinch of numb but I was having my friend helped me with the shopping list and he put a cup of no bag I did not question anything. I went but a cup of netflix, which at the story was like.

this is like sixty .

dollars to buy this much I doors in many .

small comes everyone in this story gets to that part like how though there's so small.

like six. And then I got back. I made IT and I was eight and was like, this is really bad at that.

I was like, I was so focused on, like getting through IT. I ate a quarter IT, and I started feeling like uzi, and then I looked IT up later. Not mag is a whole luson.

a generic?

If you eat enough of IT dangers.

don't do that, do not do that.

but don't eat .

a cup anyway.

IT was that way. You are doing .

what you do references one hundred percent. My favorite, I favorite is, I think.

sina sane.

yeah anyway.

of red flags of, like, I need you to buy a one cup of a nutmeg and you get to the store and not magazine. These things that like this is .

going to go crazy this wine you're like to a guy work by honey of this is a cup and they, why on are you .

opening a thing this on you cost me like eighty five dollars and I had to throw IT all out yeah remember .

we are talking about how, like, trader joes cashers like, look at what you're buying and like, comment on IT to you. I body when you try to check out with a pound and nobody like are you are, what are you doing here?

I think of the people to like.

used to go there.

you like that. Ah, yeah, snap on this.

Well, yeah, anyway, maybe if S G E could remind me the searching of experience could tell me that that's too much to make. Yeah, maybe I would like this.

Or if you didn't have to spend twenty five minutes reading the begin of an article about conques, maybe that's why my .

grandma's favorite song, I don't know too much information in there anyway, right? Next topic is the .

last one.

So it's not even like i'm really picking anything EV headlines in a hat. I think it's just .

regarding the fact that we we have a second .

had no one saw coming, we have enough evy headlines that there is a second hat to take out of.

How did you make that? The last thing I didn't mean .

to make that the last one, in fact, that's judging by how much all these articles are, I really think in terms of flow. So we'll see we're we're going to outbreak here. We might have a pretty quick next that break.

Just combine the podcast later. Make this the beginning. Uh, fiscal says that will adopt tesla N, A, C, S connector. We can move on because they .

haven't shipped any cars. I, to and to myself in .

twenty twenty by be 2.

didn't where fischer said .

so this one well, because fischer also doing, I mean, I just think it's funny, first of all, that we we were like, oh my god, big companies adopting any, yes, this is cool. Oh, a lot of other companies do. Everyone following the trend, where at the point that were a company, I don't even have to make cars anymore, is adopting .

the trend every really.

So doesn't they make one? And then like .

karma took IT over and .

fiscal karma and the carmer, I got going .

to tell you a story short of my first ever sees. And like two thousand, i'm writing for android authority. Like, keep that mind.

The fischer CEO, john fischer, whatever his name is like, waves me down. I was like, you, anna, do you like interview? Like you want to do an interview with me? Like, could write an interview.

I was like for into authority. He's like as, like, okay. So I literally made an article and video with the .

CEO of this car. Car, have like, and something .

they had made on the show for classic. But it's crazy that the C. E, O of a car company was that desperate that he wanted said, I was like, twenty years old. Yeah, was Younger. I was .

dog in new. Where is coming?

The C, E, S, special is a car that's never coming out, gets covered in C, E. S, and probably still have the video up on youtube. The video, amazing.

What are the new? And we just also, I put this in there because there's the ocean, the pair, right?

So they look give them credit. Fischer has announced two new vehicles are and the vehicles themselves, which they have shown, I guess, working versions of to some press. And i've seen some people make videos them as if they're real.

They look really cool as the of them. And I appreciate that, but there is always this level of like when you do coverage, I guess it's mostly with cars. Like I I don't really do this with smart phones anymore, as you kind of know when it's coming out.

But like a car, a car get shown to you. I I am not having to do like an extra layer of like is this ever going to actually come out? And sometimes you're just .

wrong about that on their website. They have a good bunch of cars that i've like never see the fischer alaska. They're N, E, V.

only company. And well, no, because wasn't the fiscal karma like high? And I was like, but was a weird way. How they did that was a bit different.

is nothing about the car. But I in right thing.

the karma Rivera, which we can say is the fiscal arma. I think so. IT was a hybrid in the fact that like the gasoline was used to power, was to give electricity to E. V. Motors versus.

yes, somewhere differently is a gas generator for evy tech.

like the the middle, the back of the midsection, because the battery went through like the medal of the all the, I don't know the pair in the ocean .

cool like tab, and tell me that cars ever coming out.

I think they .

only made this as a reaction to the roads there. That's notion.

are the ones they said are coming out. We will see. I also want to, on top of what you said though, like, and i've totally agree, you you announced a bunch of stuff you around for a while, but nothing ever comes out.

You get sceptical. This has happened before. And the story is IT one of the first ships I ever took working here. We saw the Lucy air as what they were saying was a very close to finish product. I think so .

there's like three categories of car announcement. There is one, the car gets announced by a reputable enough car company. And then sometime with him, the next year, IT comes out.

That's relatively immediate. Number two is car gets announced by either reputable or somewhat new car company and it's not on time, but eventually IT does come out. And number three is car gets announced.

Car never comes out. Car never had a shot of coming out. Where is roster? So roadster is unknown.

I tend to think it's in the eventually category. Cyber truck also in the eventually category. I not coming out on time, but that seems to like eventually becoming out. Lucy is in the eventually category.

Lucy definitely got to the point also of like is years yeah and they got to the like almost assuming ing it's not coming out yeah.

IT was in danger of like because the company's financial history was questionable. But we have we have like what was the first one we saw the first, the the future I feel like is a never category .

comes what comes out first, the fiscal ruin for the parody future. I could say ocean repair, but I do think those .

might come out. I think they're pair is supposed .

to be thirty grand, yes, cheap. Whenever it's in the eventually category. There's a really big chance that there's a bunch of changes to IT by the time and actually comes out.

So if we saw the Lucy and that was a pretty cool car, but let's be honestly, a lot of things are different about IT. Same thing of cyber truck like we saw the cyber truck like five years ago. And why the time IT comes out lots of change is interior and exterior. So yeah, we're seeing this announcement of a fiscal pair and there they're saying starting at twenty nine thousand nine hundred dollars and has this much range and has IT looks beautiful. But just going by fischer record here, even if IT does eventually come out, which I doubt, it's not going to look like this or be Price like this or have the spect.

to be fair, also does a twenty twenty five so that it's like an announcement with a long day .

at the end of the five is I think a respectable date that they're not going to hit I think a long way I would be like twenty.

twenty seven or eight yeah or like how um what company is was like lamp kimi who said that they were gonna have their cars twenty, thirty.

almost you got seven years to completely change your all and stocking this is just a release one car yeah some of those are never like we want half of our .

car sold to be electric by twenty thirty and like, okay. So you need to make sure the electrics are popular and not just existing but terrible. So there's some some interesting uh, new answer to those.

But yeah do you want to take a break? We're pretty yeah. Adam can ask us when fiscal was started or how long the interview David had within was.

I could find.

That via a fine henrik .

fix yeah funny you .

say that because my trivia was about the fiscal ronen. I hate IT and then you guys spoke about the fiscal ronen. So last minute I had to scramble because I don't .

know anything about IT was just .

there are four cars that you can currently serve on the website. They are pair ocean, alexa and .

the government just so you .

get the best site.

I know what I can give them. This website.

It's so bad.

The next question, so Lucy has two cars but the lucid air and they loosen .

what that's .

not true with shipping .

right now?

No, no, I never .

because .

they .

are planning on .

yeah I .

will get .

wrong. I when I visited Lucy, uh to see the air they had, like then I can all say I was as an S U V under a like a what time I was there by myself OK and I think they're showing me air G T. And there are like years or next project.

It's i'll like, can you show to me? And like, no, no, no, it's under the tarp and I will 要 cool。 I know it's happening eventually.

but yeah, a car under a tarp. No new E, V, C.

Can I see IT? Oh, no, there are name. No, I don't know the name, but I have seen that under the tarp. So there is that.

how do you know? Wasn't just like a cardboard, but I don't.

The shape of work, there isn't the shape of an S. U. V. And I think I saw the .

bottom of the wheel. So IT .

might have been play. IT might have been play. It's like when they put they're they put special raps on cars .

to like the look cyber slayers because there's no lines that it's .

taking away from like a what what that could be .

anyway to answer very.

we haven't. I actually .

did back in the day like .

the one plus I think what happened was like the one plus five. Like they released a teeth or image and they literally forgot to, like, I just took IT in a photoshop and like brain IT.

a revealed thing that time before I did to a unch seed A C message in IT. But so like nice try but they had actually blacked out the rest of silent ah this one does not give me anything.

This one will be fun though because, uh, yeah why we're saying all this if you you might have seen IT already and if you haven't, you can hear what we say and then see how wrong .

are immediately after, because they will revealing that I don't know if they ever saw they wouldn't make an E V. For some reason. Have IT in my mind that la berg ini said they were never .

gna make an electronic car that's .

a dumb thing to say but but um they did reveal the reveal po which I believe is a hybrid. They had lectric y their so to v twelve with a battery and electric motors which they're not the first or not the last of this far is done this with s of ninety like we have lots of performance hybrid to expect, one from porch, a lots of others biagi. The list goes on and on.

But a fully electric lamborghini is interesting um because well, I guess to make a long story, sure they have to contend with weight like any of these uh supercars and hyper cars and superfast cars. The typical formula, when you hear about a new mock or a lorg ini or a lotus or anything like that, it's a super light weight car in the way they get so fast as by generating a lot of power to wait. And now want to remember exactly who said IT I think it's mclean when great ski my clean i'm just getting into the weeds of cars but one of their flag ships from like twenty sixteen, whatever was the mp one two thousand ever came out.

The p one one. The track was a hybrid. And there are notary from making really light weight cars.

And I think there's CEO or someone at the head of them works like alright for the successor to the p one we don't want to make like a two thousand kilogram, two thousand horsepower car like anyone can do that kind of like what remate just did. They made A A heavy, a heavy two thousand horsepower super car. And it's fast as a bullet, but it's not quite the same.

IT doesn't have a light weight spirit feel as as a performance car should um so we're expecting them to not make a full electric car. That's why is interesting that lemage ini is actually going to make a full electric car and maybe they have some up to leave and maybe it's a smaller than we expect battery. Maybe there is some new battery detect that are gonna use.

I don't know if they have a date. They said they are announcing IT soon, so maybe it's going to come out soon. But it's fascinating. I mean.

if I would ever think like I want to an E V where I didn't care about three hundred miles of range, would probably be a sports car that if you you have other cards, this is not your daily yeah um so that would kind of fit there pretty .

well yeah so there a whale is a twenty four model that has an six and half leader eight hundred horse power v twelve and three electric motors so IT totals by a thousand horse power. And it's not as heavy as an E V. Because it's like a small battery IT does of six miles on a battery, but it's mostly miles a film.

It's like, remember the era. So the court, tiny ini, so when core vet did, they would ve made real, will drive sports cars for forever. They finally made mid engine version, whatever.

They have been very successful. The city is like everywhere, and they just made a hybrid version for the first time, is their first all wheel drive car. What the what they did is they had the the engine power the back wheels and the electric motor power the front wheels, and they're completely separate from each other.

And so when you switch to from electric only mode, which is front wheel drive, just like Petering along at twenty miles hour, when you switch to hybrid mode, there's like this sink that has to happen and this animation plays on the screen and you would like see everything like sink the R P M and then the engine turns on and matches R P M and then you're going so because separate systems crazy like dance, the car has to do to to a hybrid um really a hybrid yeah basically. But most of these other ones are using the electric motors as talk fill for the gaps in, talk for a Normal gas car. Like a Normal gas engine has a tork curve that looks like this, and then a shift gears and IT looks like this again, and then a shift gears looks like this again.

And so if you're at like two thousand rpm in fifth gear and you floor IT, you're not going to immediately jet off. You're going to have to wait for IT to shift down and then build boost and then get up talk. So while all of that is happening, the electric motors push you forward as if you have that instant file.

That's the idea of a performance hybrid basically. Well, just more power and just more general power. Yeah, once you're going, it's just it's making the talk curve higher because you have more total power to deal with.

This is because we haven't really described the the photo does IT not kind of look like the top of a cyber truck. If I I like, step on. Am I wrong done? Well, well, that was created by the company that cares about what IT looks like.

It's funny. It's funny about a lot of these newer evs. Is there a lot of sports cars and supercars now are just bigger than ever. And and this just looks like a big car, like a long car. I feel like a .

lot of limbourg I A lot of IT dance. I think people underestimating they are yeah.

but a lot of these two to our cars are like almost as long as the sad, like the eventual is kind of big.

The remark was why that the reMarks .

is the White car in the entire collection?

Yeah, my knees still feel like they are gonna to the winch. I said that.

But yeah, IT doesn't look like a like a magic kind. Yeah, i'm not just to see this .

because member ginnees always look interesting. They have they're very list choices, and I think some people really like them. I don't love them, but like they look crazy and I appreciate that .

did just weird. Imagine a silent leverage ini because I will really used for being so loud and like, that's a whole big part. Who are they are going .

to make a noise.

I was just going to ask, are they any making nose? I think they would do IT. What what happened?

Whatever happened .

to the dodge that was making those crazy .

amErica chAllenger? I, I, I, I think like twenty four .

cars and nose, I can that IT .

seems like there will be once they wanted do that. Like the portion right now, the titan is actually allowed us. Eva, i've ever heard from the I can, I can be walking down the street or like near the window of my house.

And here a tight can coming before I see IT. That's how loud the speaker crazy. And I have a feeling my geni might do something similar.

I love, I just love of getting U S. Like versus someone you like looks for birds. And here's like a bird print like that's a red burst, Robin. You just like.

Is that the chAllenger of the charger? The article, look at analyses the dodge charger.

EV, fake, exhausted. I think that leaves one. Is there OK who you should take? The last headline?

I don't eat.

Thoughts about the last headline. You know, you didn't even know there is a second hat.

You've been reading IT .

from the site. We're definitely doing all this off the dome and not with and okay, test the launch is lower range model x and y that are .

ten thousand dollars SHE. What's right? We were talking about you about this yesterday. okay.

So i'll just give you the black and White what of what text logic did and then we can react to IT yeah so test let just announced a new base trim for the model s 和 model x IT is ten thousand dollars less than the previous spaced trim, which was a long range. So there was a long range and a plant. Now this is the standard range, ten thousand hour lower Price.

So for models, that goes from eighty nine grand to seventy nine grand. And IT is a roughly eighty mile shorter max battery capacity. So the max range goes from the long range about four hundred miles to three hundred twenty miles.

Uh, that's basically IT. And the question that we had was, is this actually a new vehicle like a new battery, a smaller battery being shipped? Or is this what text was done in the past, which is the same exact piece of hardware?

Software limited seems to be slower and have less. Someone confirmed that was a software list is in fact the software limited version. So yes, a slower IT is a little bit slower, three point seven instead of three point one yeah which honestly also probably suffer.

They're going to feel the same yeah that's a software limit. But our question was like, is that worth IT and how do we feel about IT? Honestly, I think my gut reaction is most people are going to be fined with three hundred twenty miles of range. And I think it's probably the best deal of the model max. But also IT is kind of weird paying for extra battery and never having access to IT because that happened before people were speculating .

that they might allow you to pay to unlock the extra rain.

People actually .

specular. Ua, now, there was a thing .

saying, like, will they ever let you buy rest of the battery? Yeah, later.

like they they gotten to hot water a long time ago for during some, like a hurricane, herne, for the software unlocked everyone's extra rain, which was super cool.

But that also evacuated they were doing. But then I was like, way, I had this extra Better. No one. No, yes.

So my take is that if you live in a home with a home charger and you generally don't travel more than three hundred miles a day, then I would pay the ten thousand dollars less. But if I didn't have a home with a home charger, I would probably pony up for the extra range.

I'm gonna guess that if you're buying a model S R X, which is already more expensive than the three in the Y, I think you have enough money to have a home charger. Because you get a model, you get a long range. True, you can get a long range model y for less than the Price of this new model s and IT will have more range. So if you really care about range, you can buy range. But this is going to be like that the luxury bigger s or x um I don't know it's IT is yeah it's weird that you i'm guessing if if tesla ever does allow you to unlock the battery that you are Carried than than .

fifty pitch. okay. But I thought was kind of interesting. But I don't want to give them any ideas or people going add me for a potential subscription OK.

We've talked about in the past about how the full self driving is like x amount or they were doing potentially like a subscription model, right? And people saying, like me, be going a trip. Are you traveling a lot? One month maybe wants a page just by the month. I think this makes me more central range. If you have three hundred miles of range and you want to pay for one month where you're doing a really long road trip to get the extra range to make that not as bad, pay a hundred box for that month isn't like all a car extra battery, but you spend a lesser amount from the start actually my I think that sounds way more reasonable than paying for yeah um like month to month falls of driving.

If you're someone who always does road trips the same time, you're every year, you just pay for that one month.

I feel a lot of people do once a year y pay. I like inherently .

dislike the the like the business model of giving you everything. But software locking IT like yeah, that is A A pretty new thing that has existed in the last few years. And IT bothers me intensely.

I can't figure out why IT doesn't bother me. I feel like I should bother me. I because the comments I keep seeing her like I paid for all this battery, I should be able to but if you did well .

this case now yeah you you're not paying for because you are paying less. And like there is an argument to be like why I really did want to model. Now there is a more affordable version.

I think sea is like there are people who are not willing to pay ninety grand for a car, but that are are willing to pay eighty grand for a car. And they will they are willing to take a smaller margin on what they would Normally make on the model s if they access this audience that is willing to pay ten thousand dollars less, but not if IT was ten dollars more.

And just for clarity, the not making a new car with a smaller battery for this Price point is because IT actually takes more, more money to develop and create a new skill and ship two different versions of the car. And so they're to continue mass producing the same car with a software lock and then take a smaller margin on IT to get more people in the door on model. Last year.

I get IT music, got some sick margins on .

the of the higher version, of course.

to have IT ung. Can you .

not everyone .

all that once question first, can you still not buy out the car at the end of your least? You cannot do that. So what if they're like leasing these out? And then when they get the car backs.

they just sell IT as the full range model.

But because they do that with false of driving, because you can't buy in the car at the end of your least, they take IT back, they install false self driving and then they sell IT for the same Price as a new car. But it's a great value because you're getting IT.

It's weird. Like do we think do we feel differently about full cell t driving then access to the battery .

because full of okay.

if you just to find IT as full self driving is software on the car that takes advantage of hardware that you already have, right? It's the cameras and the computer and everything, and it's just software on the car, yeah. And as the same thing as the extra range is software on the car that takes advantage of the hardware, the battery that you already have argue.

the difference is that the software for full sell of driving is ever updating to get Better. Or as the software to just give you the range that in the Better that's just suffer, that's literally locking you out where the other one is software that's growing. So I think there is an difference there. Um that's why why I think the battery one feels a little worse, whether the full self driving one, like some cameras and stuff they're acting. But those are pretty like where smaller margin things were like having this big chunk of of baty like these batteries .

are expensive and you yeah on IT yeah I like technical technical do yeah that becomes this .

whole other controversy as well as like you own the thing forgot trouble with with like not allowing people to sell the car because but I bought the car. I only, why do yoga to tell me if I can anymore, right?

The one we are quark with the with the standard range model list because it's the software ock is you can charge IT to one hundred percent every day and never experiences range degradation because you're not actually charged in two one hundred person.

Oh yeah, that's a good question. Is at one hundred percent in in the ramping up curve of the battery .

or also probably invented, you will probably experience a faster to hundred percent.

But if the battery thinks it's only x amount, is is the the ramping down thing? I know that is a hardware limitation and I protect that's a good question.

We may have play with IT, but I I would imagine they going to treat IT like a glass ceiling, like IT knows IT has more battery hardware, but a little charge on the ramp on the way, two hundred percent and cut.

It's funny that we think it's pretty sweet when really it's literally the exact same thing everybody else is doing already. But yeah and that's looking at IT differently. One argument for spending ten thousand years because usually when you if as long as you're everyday, like you said, is more than three hundred and twenty miles or three hundred and twenty eight tesla E P A red .

miles to sixty, yes.

yeah. Like you're only going to charge on a road ture per your charging model times to eighty percent eight ways because you're losing time. Exactly ten thousand .

knowledge is a lot of money for like eighty miles.

You know why people are saying such a good deal is because you got ten thousand dollars off and you still get through to twenty miles.

Yeah I can that prety it's rd IT feels like tests tried to pull in over on its customers, but maybe the customers are winning on this one because if you're treating rotate exactly the same anyways yeah there .

go yeah and you charging charging your drives two hundred percent every day. You get through to twenty miles every day. And the person who has the long range car is going to church to eighty percent, which is also three hundred twenty years now.

So funny.

There was ten thousand dollars you'd to buy a macbook pro, a pixel fold .

and a magic way. Yeah, no, that's that .

deck four thousand.

And I think that's probably IT for I thought I mean, I I doubt we're gonna get one of these just to test, but I think we're going to see some, some people going to get these cars. And this always happens to test the cars. People immediately go test them and to see what the behavior is. So someone, please, if you're listened to this and you get one of these standard range cars plug going to do a supercharger, go to one hundred percent and measure if IT actually slows down. Dramatically as IT approaches three to twenty miles, or if I just like slams into three twenty and stops .

because really what I want know.

L, G, if you're listening, please get me this. T, V of the. L, G, stand by me. go. I need immediately .

there so good walking down the side walk on .

your moonWalkers .

in your that company if .

I see somebody like crossing the put that right crossing the street. That's that's IT for the for our headlines in a hat. I think that was pretty fun. We know what's coming in next couple of weeks. There would probably some more headlines, but let us know if you enjoying .

the headlines on a hat, can we make a limited edition headlines in a hat?

hat? Yeah.

the headline es sta, just as headlines in here.

you can caught the headlines in a head yeah.

it's called headlines and yeah.

headlines in IT yeah and then it's .

a hat so just .

as headlines in in one word across the front of IT.

that's a great much I know where and people like, what is your head saying like don't don't worry IT about via is that .

we have to so do .

I still A Y so you quit update on the score you .

need to do that part this is my new favorite part.

I think we markets with four nice Andrew with wait, let me double check them after this Carry the one.

I just one. Okay, they heard .

IT David with six. That is that is that. So question one, we were talking about youtube music. What audio codec does youtube music is?

I the .

question guess I don't .

even know this.

is that I think .

this is just something I want. Es, i'm so bad else isn't here to shame all of us right now.

You know, i'm guessing by, I feel like back in the day I saw support page for, like because I tried I tried to migrate from spotify to google music. And if I had I saw support page with this code I on IT it's a total shot in the dark.

What do you guys say?

All right. Um Andrew, I have the same answer. I said aac.

See .

job guys, right? So the .

Christie clash.

David, oh, okay. I had a, here's my thought process. Okay, OK 你 呢? You all needs to music.

You can switch between like music videos and just hearing the regular music. Okay, I said m four v which is a video file. I know I am aware it's a blue to go .

for a video and but yeah because it's like .

if you already .

have audio embedded in a video file, you can start playing you can just keep playing IT because you can dynamically switch between the music video and just the song. So why not just get rid of the video, but keep playing, keep playing the video, but only the audio track?

I don't know how files .

work every.

but I would work, but I think that I think the audio in a video files still has to have an audio.

Yes, because every time you exported a video file, you still have to choose what the audio code that is.

So there's actually two answers to this question.

The right is there is a container.

there is a ac and ops is the other one. O, P, U, S, I don't really .

know what A C is, to be honest. I, C.

audio.

something, what .

audio?

Ideo .

like? Anger's .

idea.

And .

one, I S one you sports. Sandy is called double my point.

I'm just writing the fischer as be .

the next question is not fischer okay? Lucy has two cars .

luted the lucid air and .

the lucid. And quick clarification to answer mark as earliest question, the second car is not out. IT is supposedly coming in twenty twenty five, I believe.

Alleged, alleged.

I know nothing about cars.

I had a joke. And then Marcus said something that maybe think maybe .

I right said in nava was .

that flipper what he gets?

I said the Lucy, big boy.

not.

Okay, I said there's a .

loosen .

air .

and the loosen sea.

I really air, ocean .

fire.

everything James went to.

Um I wrote the saffire which I know is are wrong because IT the air had a saffire model and IT was .

the the fastest version no, it's delusive gravity.

That's right. yes. okay.

That's still a good way to stick with the air.

No, yes, that was a it's a good name OK.

I like gravity.

That's a cool name seller.

Markets doesn't think so. The gravity S U, V.

I just think that carnage shouldn't be real .

words like .
