Like David .
now our dog.
What is up? People of the internet? Welcome back to another episode of the way from podcast where and David and we had some stuff up in this week, we had an event, we have a samsung and that we can talk about on packing all of the unpack .
things that was bad .
OK every six months. It's ever great. I can help myself picks on nine. Yes, some fun. right?
We have comments on spot by podcast or there .
are comments. We have comments on the comments on spotify. wow. Could ja talk? And this is an all time intro.
Um the first thing on the list I have here is youtube, you racer tool for copyright in music. I want to test this because I am suspicious of IT working well. But I want you to I think .
the announcement of this suspicious of IT working well as well.
So here i'll just say what the announcement is and then you can decide for yourself if you think it's going to work well now. But I haven't tried to yet.
So you know how if you have like corporate and music in the video, you can just mute that section of the video or just meet the whole video to maintain in Normal status of the video just lame IT kind of sex as you if it's like, if it's the intro, for example, and you talk over the end of the music, you just have to meet you that section. So it's the first twenty seconds. It's just completely blank and then I just suddenly has audio again.
And that's the solution that's been available right now. Um this new tool is supposed to be able to use A I you there is is going to just remove the music itself from the video and leave everything else. So if yet, sound effects, if you had other other noises like your voice, IT would say in a video, yeah, I think IT should be able to work, but i'm highly suspicious. Yes.
I there might be some artifacts ting on the edge and probably yes.
it's so. And like the way that works is when you get that copyright claim in your youtube studio, it'll say like you know, name is from zero seconds to fifteen seconds rape and i'll take that part of the mood, that part of the video, and have a select actions. But and so you can either get rid of the song, you can replace the song with something from youtube.
Es, copyright free library. thanks. You can just cut the segment now. H, I mean, it's Better than nothing dead or you commute all sounds in that segment. yeah. They also though say that like in the announcement, they're basically like you can just the reason I cut the segment out or meet all sounds if IT doesn't work that well. That's why i'm also like wary of IT working well because you know the blur feature that they have.
boy, do I.
the blur feature for us has gone extremely poorly. If anyone wants to go back and look at the R G six phone review, I believe IT is there is a part of IT where you have to blur out the, uh, there was a calendar event. I think if you go back now, that blur has lake spread other parts of the video. We're rather than just that there is no a floating blur around random parts of the video market. Face .
infection .
tracking, like the tools, actually pretty good. And youtube, like here's the boat, you draw a box and it's like track IT from this time to this time. And then IT would seem to work and he hit save.
And then youtube processes IT. And then you come back a few hours later and it's like, here's the tracked blur and sometimes that works. Sometimes IT tracks the wrong thing. It's IT tracks outside of the times you suggested it's all .
over the rest of video and it's going on for almost .
of four minute in yeah, that is just like my go.
And when you first did IT, IT was perfect. IT worked. And just like every every.
go watch the R. G. For six of you because this is so funny.
It's so if this is what happens, who are we to say that is not going to like .
take out this is correct. This even it's just completely changed. I know goes for a for I don't it's just about the entry.
We even one to the part supposed to go.
But so is new comment.
Not know they do. This happened because of he was on red one day and I said from a few months old, and yeah, I kind of comments like, what why is part of the screen blend? And then more people talk about the little. But who's to say another music? Isn't onna cut off at fifteen seconds?
First, first .
library and now she's going through out the .
entire day. Yeah.
we will see.
That's great. You have faith. I do you think .
the technology is there that I do .
think the technology do .
I think the technology is there? absolutely. Do I think youtube posses in their arsenal? Time will tell, but like i'd just set up a little, a little demonstration here on my computer, like if I were to play and this is not youtube is tool. This is these are ellis is tools. But if I want to play like others are N I know it's a weird question, but stick with me dialogue and music together I mean, like him to turn a .
little I know I had phones are hot but well.
but I believe I can take out almost all the dialogue pretty really why is .
there .
is someone just girgis?
It's not a and vice versa yeah is the same truth speakers well, I can take out in ninety .
percent of the .
bang and all of an explore SAT the same size, about the same weight. But so it's not okay.
perfect. I will also remember .
that a little will also remember this is real time processing. This is not .
render ahead of so if did that put the youtube copy free music on, even though that music is not onna be great if that music can cover some of the .
little artifacts.
Can you now take that and only take out the audio from that ging never mind where way to way to deep in an epson.
Do you like this?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Now do you have a thousand more times and we ve got a .
studio video bangers .
only if I was curious, poggio, using called extract dialogue .
by icon digital.
They do everything. Yeah, kind of music anyway. okay. Uh, next thing on the list and yes.
I can remember a single song.
He he's the featured verse on guns to fones. What's the name of that song?
And that's every a one song. You know that one you know the a one one .
is the one about about .
broken law smack that every yeah .
that's .
bit escape sweet escape by one to funny has an .
beautiful is that not the one? sorry。 Okay okay. Speaking of chAllenging.
speaking of .
things that .
are um speaking of things that are where you thought they would be.
I hadn't matter.
So i'm going to have to try. I want to get later. But hey.
speaking of things that you cover up, like the music.
you know Alice crimes.
Pixel nine is rumor to finally get the ultra sonic fingerprint reader. Finally, finally.
I found this money because .
we talked about this last week of lake. One of the things and wireless was either top of the line, ultrasonic fingerprint sensors or physical fingerprint sensors. We don't want this in the crap and looks like we might be getting .
that for the pixel. I want to point out that samsung is the ultra fingerprinting sensor in the galaxy s ten.
No funny and nobody ever does IT. There's a lot of things that something has been doing for many years in a row, unchanged on my wei phones that are just fine, that are still totally fine. The ultra is one of them.
Yeah fine. It's quick IT or seems to work water in those conditions like it's one of those things that's fine. Yeah, yes, please think it's .
crazy that it's taken this long to get to other phones, hopefully are using the bigger come one that came out a few years ago.
Something else reading this article that I don't think we've talked about. And David seem to know a little bit when I ask him about IT, but there's supposed to be three different pixel lines this year.
Yeah like I like an ultra, but well.
call the ultra well. So I think it's a little different from what I read from this article was there's a pixel 7, pixel nine pro and pixel nine pro X L. But yeah, the pixel pro X L would just be like the pixel 8 pro was and rather the pixel 8 pro would be the same size as the regular pixel nine。 But getting the extra features like the third camera and and all the features of the pro, the smaller .
form factor. And okay, you'll also have the pixel nine pro fold.
which is just the next fold with Better naming, worst naming.
worse naming. Well.
okay, because we had pixel fold. So is the pixel pro fold going to be Better than a regular pixel fold? Is that just what .
we're calling the just calling the that it's expensive because it's expensive.
okay.
marketing and then there going to be an a so then we're going five different pixel.
Okay, this is my grape about this. We're to the first number to matter everything else, but still gonna be a whole as number behind on the a like .
six years have the A A, but we will be six months behind for sure. Yeah, which is tom? yeah. I imagine they're worried that they wouldn't sell enough of the pro models if they launched the cheap model with the pro models because a lot of the time, it's like, it's like the A A is very, very similar to the a very, very, very similar. So I think that after six months, so go by, they're like, all right now, will people will buy the cheaper model?
I think my grape is shoes like in the calendar year, there's an a and and nine coming out. Yeah, we're like I would love to see in the calendar year the numbers match up. I don't know why that makes me said.
hey.
yeah i'm excited for pixel nine pro. The smaller, Better version sounds .
if it's exactly are describing all the pro features but not bigger .
yeah yeah the thing is it's already .
big yeah but it's it's not to be even bigger. That's true.
you know yeah I mean, the rumors are that the new iphone are gonna even larger.
going to seventeen, I believe .
a slim because they have a new battle technical .
that small come down. why?
why? Yeah, apparently all of the apple products are gona get like a thinness downgrade. Because for some reason, every time we invent new battery technology that holds more power in a slimmer profile, instead of just giving us Better battery life, they're always like we can make a thinner with the same battery life, which is, yes, not what anybody wants.
but is so much more appealing. Is IT to look at IT. IT makes a Better ad pro. IT makes a Better poster.
This macbook person, the thick boy, is the best thing they've ever done making IT thicker. No, I agree.
I am fully on your site. I'm saying if you're a company that needs to make a few headlines or make a few posters or billboards .
but are with the part of thinness becoming so my new like this is like D, X, O, mark getting one more Better score every year like IT IT runs out. And now, no, we thought about the exxon park anymore. Are we that much more interesting about point one million meters .
in we were for the ipad. I mean, if they are making a significant thinner that's sexy .
than significant more .
battery life, like can you make a poster .
but really I think think two day battery life versus yeah one point five millimeter .
vers one point four million is number just .
really thing see, here's the thing is like if we just keep making a thinner and thinner couple, eventually IT becomes a knife and then .
we have to be worried or rather yeah .
rather get rather thin.
But it's like where .
does the end? I do think that the regular consumer that the i'm walking into a Carrier store and buying the newest version of the thing and I didn't do any research beforehand, people, which is probably like eighty five percent consumers are more drawn to the fact that IT looks a little bit different than the fact that IT has Better battery life because they problem you can you just make, okay, you know, remember the dr.
Cell phone that was like one thousand two, one thousand and million hours or something. And I was like this big yeah like couldn't even fit your pocket like that way or if they could make that batter capacity but in the size of like a regular phone or slightly Better than a regular phone that would be sick or that phone, but like a hundred thousand billion hours. Can I talk about .
that charge my car? Yes, to reverse this, to kill a .
in your phone wouldn't be .
epic if you never had A A charge of phone. It's I agree. But also, when you like think of like movies and like futuristic tech, you never hear anyone go like, oh yeah I bet those things have infinite battery life is more just, oh, it's transparent so thin it's basically see through piece of paper with a computer in IT they photosynthesis to get power yeah we just just ignore the power part yeah yeah.
Ask you guys a question as the real experts in the room here now.
right? Who are you talking to?
You do. And but if you like you, so in in, in sound, there's this scientifically documented phenomenon where the louder people hear something, the more likely they are to enjoy IT regardless of the actual content of the the thing. And i'm curious if you guys think there's a smart t phone equivalent. Like if someone who has never seen a particular device before just holds IT in their hand, is there a particular .
facet that just makes their brain go?
This is good, three way up, heavy, good.
There is a tipping point, but generally heavy feels more premium mouy.
And I think that's sure. A lot of things, I think like camping equipment also gets to this point where things get so good and expensive they are supposed like and those things feel cheap yeah .
and yeah when they manufacture really expensive ultrathin material, you're like, I could reply through this.
the soccer leads, the more you pay, less material you get yeah uh the size, the screen, genghis, the screen. So if you're able to give someone a big bright screen feels like you're getting good instead of small dim screen bad.
which I think is really easy because most people are walking into that area and still with their own phone that is destroyed. And there this looks like and like have falling up. They look at that look, well, good.
Yeah, I get good, good product.
But is this is one of those things.
Do you think I think when you're looking at not holding, yeah, I think so .
that's my argument with this is I think fitness ness is one. I think the the band what we're doing to the this right, I don't think someone picking IT up this.
pick up the new ipad one like, well, this is then really I don't .
think the average person would betwen two. I think I think this is a video.
I think if we get like ten people who just do not care about smart phones and just start handing them phones .
and be like you.
john, we get ten seconds with .
them know just feel like john Morrison did something really interesting along this line yeah yeah and he put to next to each erm, I don't know he put her on is like, this is the new I found, what do you think? And everyone like this looks so good. But everyone I mind was like, it's three hundred and forty P.
P. I. That such a crappy screen. And yeah.
good video nerds. I do have lots of video ideas of like man on the street style, handing a person in new york city a piece of tech and being like and not even saying anything mean like what do you think notice anything ah? Because I I have my theory about whether that people notice higher fresh rate. But every time I think you're doing in this video.
I think they would just grab IT and run. I would just say that video is not gonna when I just four people stealing .
fans and phone for about one .
thousand o if you do IT, you have to wear the dice and headphones and the vision pro at the same time. Then the touch, these bases of .
technology giving you house. Yeah, I figured out a way to do IT eventually.
Speaking of really .
expensive phones, not this.
It's baby. Oh, that's a good style of sideway. Speaking of a, not this. Uh, the cm, the C, M, F phone is out. We were talking about this last week, the cm one by nothing two weeks ago.
It's kind of confusing, yes, by nothing. It's confusing how we've covered this. We talked about IT two weeks ago because there was supposed to be the announcement of IT.
And then we record last week episode on tuesday and then wednesday, C M. Officials like that, everyone. So we didn't get a, and then we did our whole video. So that's now how go watch on the main channel. But we have some last thoughts and also like I took down some things people are saying in the comments, sure that we can final thoughts .
IT you can show down. We didn't take down your comments.
We took down I doing comments everyday is my favorite part of the dying. I guess i'll .
just start like high level posts on IT. I think it's a pretty interesting phone and a possibly pretty camelon fund a lot of people. IT is a big phone, big bright dream, big bright good.
Yes, yes is a two hundred dollar phone. And it's basically it's giving you like some basic spects and a plastic bill and a replaceable back and a small accessory ecosystem that could possibly grow. And that's unique. That's like .
pretty interesting. I do really wish sense you can take the back off.
I wish they would let you swap the battery for them. I wonder why they didn't do that.
I've got to assume that just like because they know that they used to do IT all the time, but no one makes like that anymore. So probably .
you can buy the battery from the manufacturer to glue into the.
yeah, I would have to be the different type of connection .
point you atter like. You would wait until I was almost dead. You just swap in a new one that you had fully charged.
And then you put that on my galaxy nexus. I would walk around with like four batteries .
on the get on a plane. One of those .
course galaxy next needed. I I had extended battery on my next um my galaxy s three. Actually you had like a thicker back and then you could buy like a thick plastic back to IT.
So I made the same figure. We had a bigger battery. So it's like this is my mother .
when we were doing research on this phone, I was like looking into because we were talking about motor maker a little bit, which for those they don't remember when the motor x came out, which was like an amazing phone made by motorola. But I was basically a google play edition in a lot of ways. You were able to, like, choose all of these different things about the phone.
They made this whole big deal about how was made. IT was made locally in texas. And you could change, like all these different materials of the back of your phone.
You could change like the colors of the buttons and all these different stuff and IT would be shipped to you to be a unique phone that was yours. And I was doing research on this because we were comparing IT to that um because you can swap out the back with the color, ways and stuff. The motor x was also two hundred dollars, but IT was a flagship at the, which is crazy amazing.
I got my sister to buy IT when I first came out because I was like, I gotto get everyone to buy this phone. And the first day SHE dropped in the toilet. Oh so wow, that's to another one.
Um next biggest comment I saw on our video was people very upset about lack of N F C.
M. yeah. I think it's a huge, huge depends on the market.
So this phone is not coming to the U. S. In the Normal way. It's like it's two hundred dollars to a beta program. I don't really know how much they're expecting there, but I think in the market, it's it's intended for, which is I think mostly asian, indian those markets.
NFC is emerging in a way that it's like you expect most new phones have NFC, but not every phone as NFC, but it's so cheap that it's like you might as well NFC. yes. And for two hundred, just feels like I just wonder how much I cost at.
I wonder that also because it's very easy for a lot of people to say like, oh, it's only a ten cent piece or something like that, then is that is that piece compatible with all the things already? There are how many different changes? I don't know enough about creating a phone.
but I just feel like .
it's good. yes.
yeah. And also, IT has removal back. So do they put the N. F, C.
In the removal back, or in on the back of the phone? Underneath the back, underneath the back, underneath. Yeah.
exposed. I still think that they done IT. I IT feels like a big house to me, especially if you are planning on keeping the phone for a number of years. Like, yes, maybe NFC is like growing more in those markets. But do you really want to be the person who in two years, when always sudden everything has mobile payments and you don't have the thing they can do?
IT, yeah I have a stupid question, which is other didn't payments and third party NFC like chips and tags .
yeah what .
does IT do?
And if yeah because IT .
doesn't do air drop, IT doesn't do IT doesn't do data.
public trace sometimes .
so consider no .
I mean like a ticket I don't know that White.
I also put that like under the payment sort of yeah like it's but that's a big just payment is .
huge super cool thing about NFC. Um when your phone dies, your NFC tag can still your NFC chip in your phone can still work, that's true. So if you're like in the city in your phones dead, you can still tap to get under the subway because they they like stores your card information in the strip. Yeah, possibly so.
But is there that much more than IT? Am I missing? no. I mean.
I just think that's a big thing. When nc first started coming to phones, they, like samsung, started marketing these NFC tags that they were selling that you could just like put all over your house. And the idea was that you could like, you can have IT next year door, so you tap your phone to the tag next year door and all your lights turn off like that kind of.
And I like an to see business card that has all my personal information on a chat out. Um but I I I see .
where you saying I I don't even use the tap to pay on anything.
so generally .
has loit like worldwide done in. But here's the thing.
So you asked in the video that you're not very familiar with the indian market. And if anybody has any experiences um and someone on our discord, i'm going to pronounce i'm wrong so I am sorry, a new touch A N U T O S H um they were a very nice long thing in our discord, just like in the indian market. And the first thing is he says use of nc here is pretty existing in india.
U, P, S, become the primary method transaction for anyone looking to do a digital transfer of any kind, whether it's merchant payment or paying bills. What is U, P, I? I do not know, is that like can someone look that we check my guess you don't need any special parts for that. And the transaction can be Carried out security in a Normal smart t phone, in fact, even feature support, even future phone support, smaller U, P, I, transactions without being connected to the internet. So N, F, C, is no loss for a phone.
OK in india instant payment system, as well as protocol developed by the national payments CoOperation of india in twenty sixteen. But I tates interbank, peer to peer, person to merchant transactions.
But is that just like a protocol that you use in an APP because it's still easier to tap something? But I will say like if you pi is the main reason, the main way that people pay there, then i'm not i'm not about to be like, but you have to have if nobody uses IT. So my preliminary research.
and I would love to hear from our indian viewers about how wrong I am, but IT seems like U. P, I, the thing we can close most closely compared to ununited states as sel, like it's being Operated by industry representative. The entire banking or initiation and IT provides secure transfer but over classic data as opposed to yes.
So is that just like in an APP, you can't .
like top your phone anything to get IT to.
Maybe they have A S like scan and then IT automatically opens IT up and you can send money that way. maybe. Yeah.
anyway, this was interesting. Yeah.
I would like to learn more about I thanks, discord.
Yeah, thanks.
Did did they say anything else .
that was interesting in that I really like talked about how like carl pay at one point a long time ago mentioned that two make pixel cameras and other phones were dumb and now theyve got like basically useless camera on this. That's the useless that the initial Prices in international, uh, offer Price in that on flat car IT seems examin K I N R, K I N R some. And yeah.
that's something that happens a lot with budget phones for the P. R. They will lodge, chat, a really awesome Price. And then all of the videos s that come out about IT, talk about the phone that cost as much. And then a month, the two months go by .
and then the Prices higher. By the way.
that's about .
two hundred and forty U.
S. dollars. You not the range of you that next .
comment I saw the most of and that markets you might have, you have to clue us in on here. Did you bend the back case like U. S, B sport .
when you are selling IT svy on witter?
Oh yeah, I A plastic back but IT happens when .
you are like spinning IT to show IT. Yeah.
if you putting your backpack, if you're putting your back pocket, if you're just Carry around and might get bent and I look physically bent, some of them on camera as well. If you do that too much, the finance part is right at the U. S, B, C.
Port where there's like a cut out in the middle of the top and bottom of the thin is piece of plastic. yeah. spp. Thrawing, and get some some damage if you do that.
I talking IT like that off of the phone. talk. k.
Nk, off the phone is probably the best chance for that specific thin part because he doesn't any support when it's on the phone. IT could happen on the phones. Pride less likely. Um but again, yeah, it's a cheap plastic back. Yeah, I love the design of this thing.
It's like a thirty five. Yeah, I am not. If you, I did the.
Get another .
one for thirty .
more .
dollars. Can we talk about the knob that some crew?
Yeah we were trying to guess last time what I would do or what I was, turns out the answer is it's a what is IT is a accessory mounting point. I think deep down.
we all knew IT was more like this.
Look, the budget that they released, IT, is an ob because they have sit on the budget. They have a really interesting design where the case is sort of like squared off. And they have a spinal nob thing on the corner of OK. And you control volume by controlling the case, which is weird, like you put the buzz in your ears, and then you use the like the case nob to turn the volume up and down, which is like cool, interesting design. However, I often go on runs without my earbuds case because my running of a very .
small sorry .
um yeah good point. Well.
that's also just why the not is kind of hear what is the scenario where you're listening to blue with music where your phones not close enough .
to press but the case is you went on without your yeah I don't know, you ably can't store music gone anyway okay, anyway, the knob on the knob screw the .
crew on the .
phone crew yeah um IT attaches onto accessories. As we said, there's a wallet case, accessories, which I imagine is supposed to be because he does not have see I guess um the cool interesting thing about the wallet accessory, even it's really crap, is that we found out that he has like a backpack that you mount on and then the wall is magnetic to that magnetic backplane, and the backpack has a circular ring that is like basically mag safe.
It's prety much exactly. Yeah, it's time. And we tested on a bunch of maximum and IT works really well. So you could if you have a mag safe car mound, you can use this in your car, which is pretty sweet.
Yeah, that I like the kickstand. I think the kicks in school, because I like, only takes up a little bit space on the bottom. Or if you're on a plane, just keep IT in your back, back. I don't bulan e .
but though I like .
to think .
of is that song to your chain hang low when like branded and you are walking .
around with it's a climbing rope .
that yeah it's weird.
I I know that looks weird, but um a lot of people who travel will often attach their phone to a land year and put her around their next. They don't give IT stolen.
The problem with this is is at the absolute title st. IT was still probably like a foot down for marketers like neck if fellow g is hanging so much and like yeah swinging all .
over the place yeah ah IT has s which is nice of terabytes. You can have a massive storage on your phone and that .
is in place I look, I open the photo in place of a second sim card so you can either have a second sim card or the my rosy card. Ah okay, yes, fine, fine.
thanks. okay. So um and then IT has .
a adaptive one twenty hurts display IT, which is cool for being this cheap nice move. Yeah pretty good. And you know when the C M F. Phone one by nothing has a one twenty hurt display. And the base iphone, still.
apple.
I feel like at some point, well, they pray, don't have to do, just they want to do, and Normal people still don't care. But, uh, IT seems like eventually they would have to take the promotion name away, but they just never gna do that. It's always been very sexy hurts. Let's be real, ed ourselves. That's really said IT is said, i'm like, poor one out.
I like for .
that based iphone users .
out there format yeah.
So did you get a chance to try the watch pro two?
Not yet. okay.
First, grape, how do you go from C M F watch to C M F watch pro two? I feel like I should either be the C M F watch pro or the C M F watch two. Yes, it's the same Price. The first model was .
a White labeled amazon product allegedly but remember .
when we .
went .
on and we just searched smart watch and IT was the exact same allegedly .
yeah IT looks .
a lot different than the the White labelled product from last year .
already allegedly A A quick good article from bench une at nine to five. Google about the C. M.
F. Watch and he's not a fan is the nicer way. Putting he loves the C.
M. Phone, hates this watch. Pro two, essentially a lot of IT was just like this software was terrible. IT looks bad.
And that when the main thing about IT is like activity tracking, he said he did like four hours of hiking around and IT captured like nineteen minutes of IT. And that is, wife was using a pixel watch too, I think. And that captured all of IT and had a bunch of good metrix. And when you're comparing IT to the pixel watch two as the like gold standard, you're not doing a good if you're .
that much lower than because. So watch two is two hundred seventy nine dollars. C M F. Watch pro two is about twenty five percent of the Price, so captured twenty .
five .
percent formation. Fair, fair. You know there's that if I don't know it's yeah.
these watches are definitely cheap. I get people wanted do like activity tracking and it's probably the cheapest option. But if it's not even doing that, that great.
I don't know. I M just said, if we get the chance to test that out, there are so many things going on already on act in july. yeah. Why are we talking about impact in the middle of lire now .
in the beginning .
of just the beginning of just yes.
they watch is interesting in a number of ways like they have these hot swappable top plates that make IT look pretty different.
They look at and I think one the Better looking one cost money.
My hot take that might get me that is that um cmf as a brand has sort of gone for a Fisher Price on purpose kind of ab and for the phone that's acceptable because it's kind of a hip to like pull out of fier Price phone. But like a Fisher Price watch, IT feels less hip to me.
This feels this does feel kind of legs.
It's not fish Price. This is cassio. It's a classic.
I think the C M, I phone looks fantastic and I don't know, call Fisher Price you. I think the plastic on the back is Fisher Price is but IT looks great.
I think looks so teenage .
engineering and not fish. Price Price.
everyone will agree with me.
Teenage engineering is push Fisher Price.
Yeah the style, not the quality. They do kind of have this thing going on where they'll they'll you a cheap best thing and then like a bunch of little expensive markup to make the same Prices. I am that phone, but I three backs.
I just spent three hundred dollars, you know? Yeah, so they they can make their money back with these little Operated things. If you buy a kick stand by smother stuff, get a language that's kind of what i'm observing here.
Love the phone. Watch to be decided.
T, V, D, also, that your bets. T, V.
yeah, here about just A T, V.
T, yeah. The speaking of things that .
start with letter t 的 区别。
prime. So this question is inspired by cmf, not including NFC on the their own. And we all know about nearby share. Hilarious share .
now is what .
it's called really yes. Yeah, it's google's answer to air drop lady up. But prior to quick share, there is nearby share and fired a nearby share go. There is a wireless data for protocol that actually did use NFC. You add to take two .
phones in nickels. You, I love that. I love.
What was that cold? I know this. You remember this.
I want next is for you. Tell me next next .
is four yeah.
for i'm pitching.
Next is forward. Like, square on the back.
Nexus four had the, like, the stars on the back. yeah. Like Spark. Oh.
that was the one that we bought later. And he was like, melting. yes.
wow. I okay, will I like IT will be right after.

Welcome back. We've got to unpack some announcements and an event that something held this week today called samba actually hour a sampson unpack. So I I made a video, uh, with my first impression, all the products, so the flip, the z fold, the watch, the watch ultra, the buzz three, the buzz three pro and the ring. So if you want to check out impressions and first hands on, look below the last, first hands on, and looks at any of those things, check out that video. But the the event itself was also like we are watching IT this morning, and IT was IT struck me just having so many a generic quotes and weird offered moments and force the plows that I don't know what's happening with events anymore just .
feels kind of cessile .
investors like I feel like I turned on IT had their mental in the beginning, which was like this kids get boarding and with really bad acting all around where he keeps going to different types of like whats and activities and asking them to play through the translator on his flip. Yeah, every scene of them playing sports felt like the cat woman basketball scene of just like really brutal acting and up close like you have to get really close to make you look like their actually playing sport.
where neither the actors or the directors have ever played the sport.
exactly like the basketball ene was. The first was like two people driver ling, basketball, like dancing. And then this like up close version of him, like hanging on the room and dunk a .
basketball or seen in camp rock when the person goes on and place the the D. J said, and it's really, really that everyone goes, she's really good. yeah. But then after that.
we had twenty five minutes of just cruising through products, which I loved. In twenty five minutes, they covered the ring, both of the watches, and like half of the fault. And I was like, our cruising, there's n't going to .
be a short, short event. And then I was in.
and fifteen minutes I comes get out of the room, and I just basically feel so they had .
to do that galaxy A I section they showed us the new section at the top of the settings with all the different features which had some useful stuff like um in samsung notes you can draw bunch of stuff and a little turn IT into real drawings or real art. It'll summary stuff in a browser. If if you samsung browser things like that, I like the generated fill around your image.
If you change the horizon line, you get more around what you shot and I seem to work pretty well. But yeah, they are just going to have to do the apple thing, which is we put all the AI in one place, say no where to find IT and it's at the top. And you don't forget that IT exists where an AI company.
we swear i'm i'm gonna look this up now to make sure that i'm right. But in that section they talked about circle to search. And I swear in the background they had someone using an ice pen on the front side of a fault.
And I haven't seen anything about that. What we talked about this last week. So you guys can keep talking about germany. And let me try and find this to find a stream back in the stream.
Yeah, then we we get gi. So was the ring also before gi all.
yes, the ring in the watch and like half of the fold. And then that's how they got in.
So I yes, we can go through each of the products. I action, I got hands on time you announcements. So phones, we'll just start with that OK z fold six, z flip six, very much similar looking to the last year of the full five and flight five.
There are both one hundred dollars more expensive though. So it's ten ninety nine for the flip and eight ninety nine for the fold. And with that you get a stamp to on a agent three, you get a Better cooling, bigger vapor chAmber.
Uh, you get a new ultra de camera and I think this is a slightly largely battery in the flip as well. See thirty seven hundred and four thousand million powers and you get basically all the baseline like twelve gigs of RAM and the cameras from the s twenty four. So basically s twenty four interior and yes, squared outside, slightly different camera housing, like slight design changes a little bit of an update to the hinge.
Apparently the coating on the folding screen is is slightly different, is like a little bit figure, which allow them it's more derba, which allow them to remove some layers. I don't know how it's going to work over time, but yeah basically they look very similar to last year phones esthetically. And yeah.
thought I kind of think that at this point the razor is a lot cool than the flip, in my professional opinion.
Is this aesthetically or .
inject like overall um both because the flip still isn't like a full full screen display. true. It's like kind of .
that weird like I didn't note as much until they like had the IT up on the screen and then a bunch of screens behind what I at all could do.
And IT looks like the folder as like a mac. I like the raiser, especially full screen. And the new reader also has this really cool feature, where if you this is just silly, but if you open IT halfway, IT opens up the camera and IT enables like this cam quarter mode yeah and then .
you can like zoom in. And the thing I so yeah, I might have to do to check.
think that they also do that. That's there is yeah. Well, anyway, I think that a razor is cooler than the flip because the flip can not just feels at this point like it's the absolute default version of a climb shell that's probably goal yeah I mean, every same sick phone at this point is the most boring default fest version of an android phone in any given form factor. Same with the fold, like the one plus open is a cool phone.
But yeah, I guess the rather is interesting as a costless yeah like the rather plus something is a thousand and the rest .
5 yeah so this is one hundred IT is samsung and you the build quality is really good and everything about IT is good。 It's just kind of boring.
Yeah, can I know a proquet? K, I found the part I was talking about. Does this? I can't tell what phones is, but does that not look like using an s pen on the front? T, I saw didn't .
just in the background of when they are .
starting to talk about circle to search, I think um I can't tell I vente love to test IT IT would be awesome. And because we talked about this k how yes, but that might be can use depend on the flip interior screen? No, no.
Is that as twenty four ultra PPT in? So weird I can totally tell. And it's like with a person of gloves on covering.
I guess we'll test IT. Yeah find that out. yeah. So what what are the interesting updates this year to the folders?
That's basically what I mean, sort of the flip has that battery bump P, I think is probably the most, yes, substantial hard work change.
Five thousand thirty seven to.
And I was a new chip. And like the M P, U, does all the AI stuff. And in the fold, it's like a lot of little improvements.
But there are new A I, A I choice. Yeah the features .
is most of the new stuff. So yeah, if you plan on using sum ization or having the right emails for you or sketch things for you, you can do all the stuff now and it's all at the top but you can just play with that settled ool .
box um video like creator segment they did for the like sketching and A I image generating thing was painful IT was you miss this? So i'm not explained to because .
you are going to do .
you are going to hate this. It's a creator who have not exactly who he was. Is basically parked out on this like mount inside in the dark, looking at the milky way galaxy and like the stars.
And so he's using that as um inspiration for what he's gna draw. So he takes a photo of the stars and he draws a consolation, and then that consolation kind of looks like the evil tower. So then he decides to enter in the iphone tower into a like, A I image generation studio and creates like an A I image of the iphone tower. And that was the inspiration from the beautiful milk way galaxy in the dark, beautiful outdoors.
Well, so he never drew anything.
No, he did. The later cut himself out with A I and drag a photo himself into the fake A I M A full tower. Wow, this pretty so popular.
Everyone's gonna use.
This is not a samsung event without like a pretty brutal creator getting like thrown to the dogs in the middle .
a lot of money so you can really feel that sorry .
for the other creator that they had their sydney swimming.
Um who is that sorry? Who is he again? She's in an access.
It's extremely popular.
X SHE is created some things what SHE .
end SHE on, how was yeah?
Is he still happening .
either? She's in a lot of different things. She's extremely popular .
image of her something.
And then like, what do you think? And he was like me.
That's so.
Yeah, that happened as well to owen. What was the board room meeting like when I decided we're going to have her sit in the front row and they were was onna cut to a camera reaction .
of her .
going cool and then the crows going to clap?
There's no more than twenty seconds.
I feel like, really hope they paid a lot of money.
Can I say one? A, I think that I did like, okay, there was. And this is, like, so simple, but I was like instant, slow moon videos, where if you take a video and you're watching your back, you just hold the screen, and at a slower where you're holding the screen, because right now, the current slam a mode on everything is so annoying.
When IT like, decide where the slammer wants to be itself. Yes, most of the time gives that way too much time. So you're trying to do something like a golf form check and IT will start slow mowing before you make .
any movement for like twenty seconds. I think you might have that feature .
on your phone. I think I already have favorite xi s twenty four features. I remember when this came out on the s twenty four, and I think some people were testing IT and economics. Weird like adding frames and it's making up frames. So I remember seeing some stuff about there are being weird artifact OK like more facing .
in some instances. So issue is it's not doing the slope of video. It's doing IT a regular video noy. I'd wish just I took the high framework video. I got to do that later because dragging the little things is so annoying every time.
Yeah okay. What other A I features can we dunk on?
I know that kind of most of the A I stuff. I mean circle searches the one that by far most people use the best one and it's the best one and it's still really good.
There's like translation stuff and how you can use IT with the flip screen. So like you can see that on one, they can see you on the other side. Yeah.
cool. One way, live translate.
What's that? You're just like use dropping on people speaking of the language, basically. nice. Pretty cool. Pretty cool.
Mark s, is the fold still narrow?
The fold outside screen is about two millimeters wider than before. IT is definitely still a narrow. I thought this that was told him also, after that, I think all of the vessel ls are smaller.
And so yeah, probably a tiny y talk. But I told me like, yeah too, Milly, try to make more using I typed on IT very much narrow screen. Okay, yeah. So yeah, that's the phones. When you watches.
i'm a way more interested .
in a so watch, watch ultra both come out or get announced. Watch seven is is looking very similar. It's got the ten vessel is still circular display is still got two sizes. Know that watch seven ultra is very much a one to one recreation of the same place in apple ecosystem that the watch ultra lives.
Same name actually watch ultra, uh, it's six hundred fifty dollars but four of that here's what you get the same one point five size screen but ah is that our Crystal as the bigger one as the forty forty, forty four, the bigger yeah and forty seven yes forty four um IT is water resistant to one hundred meters. IT is made of titanium. And IT got this much bigger body behind that circular face.
So we've talked about this in the pod before. It's like a circular watch face. And underneath that is just like a kind of a squirrel type shape with a larger battery.
I think it's a bar that the screen size of the alter is the same as the forty four. I would like a bike. biggest. Yes, yeah, yeah.
What nice still circle. Uh, you also get to african cy G P S, which I think is also in a new watch seven. And you also get this big orange action button.
I mean, quick button. Quick button is what it's called. It's not an action button. IT does action thing, but when you press IT, it's a selected action. So i'm quick yeah.
I thought that was a nob dial.
And just about IT makes hold that button. You can also get this like loud sian, like an eight D, B, sir. When we are shooting hands on, people kept pressing IT and activating the siren every couple of seconds, which is really great.
Thanks guys. Keep doing that. Yeah six hundred fifty hours watch that looks and feels like it's matching up head ahead in the samsung ecosystem the same way this ultra watched dozen apple ecosystem except you can only use IT with the same .
one right started an interrupt future Andrew here um we mentioned and are going to keep mentioning how the samsung watch and ring only workers samsung phones. It's only thursday, a bunch of people just got their review units and there's been a lot of conflicting stuff where the reviewers guides all say on the availability and samsung phones and people are testing IT and IT seems like they work on some other android phones, but you're missing a bunch features.
So either way, IT seems like the sentiment is still kind of true of there are some limits here um so we're going to keep up in but just IT seems like he does work with some phones. We will be testing IT more. Everyone will be testing IT more. But or not one hundred percent sure what is and is not available between these accessory and other android phones. Okay.
back to the that's rough.
why?
Because a lot of anger, what google wear, android wear, but I might used be android, where a lot of wear O S watches you can use with any android phone.
It's also android where perpetuity in my head.
although that the pixel, what is only on pixel or eight, the .
big .
O I. So kind of rough.
this only works. I just miss. Yes, and sorry, that is working with galaxy stupid. I agree, lad. I have a galaxy phone because I think this yeah .
now they now samsung .
should get the same of screen in the apple gets first.
I should that stupid samsung and you should feel shame you ve .
got all the stuff in the the same health APP then just like make the same thing health APP the update you connect to watch through yeah.
you can just put that on an android phone. I've had IT out there accidentally before because I just transferred from a samsung one to a pixel.
Yeah, I don't know. Forty eight hour battery life in exercise power savings mode and one hundred hour battery life in power saving de, can I? I found .
something on their website that I thought was interesting here. Okay, so we were trying to figure with exercise power saving mode means, and we thought I just meant Normal use of like exercise. But on the samsung website, and David, I looked at this is how is because under this there are so many astra, like an a wild that are funny.
But one of them says, in Normal battery mode, when power saving mode or exercise power savings mode is off, battery life is up to sixty hours with always on display abled and up to eighty hours with always on display disabled. So I still don't know what exercise power saving mode means. I'm assuming it's when you're in an exercise activity, IT turns on some sort of power saving mode, do not do other background .
apps and only focus on I think it's it's less samples. So in real size mode is sampling all the time and updating like every one or two seconds. And an exercise power saving mode, maybe you're doing an ultramarathon or something you don't need. Every two seconds we measured IT spreads out the measures and samples wait less. So it's a equivalent power sitting mode for exercising.
But the cool thing here is if you are just using this as a watch, and you know through two to three days of no different activities, six hours of battery life with is on display on and then if it's off, so you're just to rise to week eighty hours prety. good. That seems like great numbers that they just seem to not talk about adults pretty .
much equivalent to the apple watch, I would say from my experience, sixty hours being, let's say, two and a half days. I think that's what i'd get out of my apple watch ultra .
if I just use IT like a regular watch though saying sixty hours is what they say and you get closer to i've been so three days essentially with hours that be great yeah that seems exact badly like though i'm oh my other question is so the watch band connection point on this. This looks different from the regular galaxy watches, which are not used to be or still are in the just regular watch seven.
Essentially the, uh metal peace that contracts in in words goes in them has two pens yeah yeah. This looks like almost more similar to the apple watch where slides in um if you look at the photos of IT, my question, well, first of all, that sucks that you can use the bands because I love all these bands even though they are pretty much one to one rips of the apple watch band, because I love the apple watch band. I know markets answered that. I what are the chances you think you can slide and apple watch band into this galaxy watch?
Ture, similar, looks extremely similar, but I bet you there are like slightly different size.
I agree. Yeah, but i'm holding out optimism.
You're to use an apple watch band with the galaxy. I want the .
trail ban from the apple watch, which there is a trail ban for the galaxy watch ultra. But IT is more similar to the alpine p from the apple. Why juli um literally same named different band um which I also think is cool but love is .
true for musical bands similar .
but same .
named different band.
Sorry Andrew, I would say hold out hope for and that this .
is a old and .
was eight dollars and came no course is Green so it's all .
only good .
more than more nasty words I have a .
question. Yeah, is there anything between the two watches that differentiates the ultra other than just present button?
The battery, the battery, the battery is a lot bigger. Okay, that's much is one hundred of media water is this stance is Normally sixty eight. It's titanium. It's got the bigger battery and bigger chefs. Obviously this button .
is on yeah so .
it's it's a couple things and the bands only work .
with out like they're literally different bands that I won't .
work with each other, right?
I am very interesting. I want one percent samsung. Can you send us a couple of these?
Is where that they .
did different bands. IT is where you think. But I think this looks so sick. I like my garment, but I be super anch city in using this. And I think i'm a trail and .
White color thank oh .
the trail is the White color. I think I like um itanium. I like teian silver because I like only the orange on the buying versus the orange because when you.
great. You get the orange on all the not. Yes, that looks good when you have the orange band. I think the other one would look Better if I change the band out to other things. But I want titanium server with orange trail band fair.
I wonder if whatever where I might watch again.
I get stuck this situation because garmin, the thing that I like about .
IT is that it's cross platform. This is even more of fiction yeah.
But this is getting more specific like now it's only on galaxy devices.
not just only not welcome to the galaxy, my friend.
let's do IT. Let's do join the ecosystem. I am just hearing me.
baby, you everyday .
yeah right dex .
day being .
of the next thing. If I was going to do this, I will try the buds pro three yeah the industrial airports pro.
the buzz are redesigned. And I think they look really good, to be honest, even though they have that big stem, they have like a, like a triangular stand, a circle there, one. And the blade lights on, the process of cool, how that I need.
I don't understand .
indite .
lights on the wait.
One thing I told me that was maybe useful for find them when you lose them, you can lie them up.
find them in the dark yeah, in the peer dark yeah. Only when you're already half a sleep.
You like, do you know if IT, if IT in active noise cancelling was like glowed red, so then maybe less people would try and talk to you when you have them in. I feel like that would be fantastic for all the people who, like, I just wear your part. Like airports.
nobody talks or strangers will come up to U N, B, like, hey, your year, but are about to die.
But by the way, what's going on my yeah .
you know everything about the universe pro is they both have A N C. Yeah, but only the pro has a ambient mode and usually it's the other way around really maybe maybe A N C.
that's true.
And the pros also have adaptive and c, which is if IT picks up on like you're having a conversation that will lower the most cancellation or if there is some cyrene to hear, IT can block that out. So it's a little bit smarter and just .
peer regular arms I have IT i'm setting off the .
sir my god, you be able to hear me if so I can hear the ambuLance is gna pear my year?
know? Yes, you do so you don't get hit by the ambuLance. Exact that is I .
mean that that yeah that is not that good. But i'm just not gonna hear the .
ambuLance trouble. I'm going to hear the I.
But yeah, that's the that's the buds. And then we we finally got details on the ring. They have ring, sorry.
Oh yeah, that's cool to and there one, seven, nine and four and nine. So like the same as well Prices again. Oh, right.
Yeah, yeah yes. So they are ring. okay? So there is no ring in everybody eeo system, but they added a ring to theirs. And IT will have all of the features you'd expect from a smart ring. It's got a couple sensors as much as your heart rate is, has skin temperature sensor and IT will do the same feeding back to your smart phone and like feeding into the information for your energy score in the health APP. So you've got energy score the same that the watch .
would I want to point out, government, with really a trail blazer, got IT nice on on this feature. Their body battery thing .
they've had for a long time.
Everyone is copying. And now, yes.
yeah, scars are fun. I like, of the eighty goods mean number every day. Yeah, i'm trying to, like, hit a high score kid, yeah. So yeah, I am into IT. There are three colors, black over gold um it's a little bit concave that it's less likely to scratch, if you like, not IT against something.
Well, two up there. No, i'm thinking so i'm taking of oring the orring as two models that looked right.
Yeah, yeah. And so the orring, funny, bring that up as a six year month description. Yes, this one has no subscription.
So three ninety nine, no substitution. But but the base orring interested in this year. O, I want to try IT.
I want to test that. Very curious. I mean, I use this Samson phone anyway, so I think you also need something to use.
This just yeah doesn't make sense. You put some something health.
Just let me try to keep people need sense.
Uh, we're getting the ecosystem we wanted so bad and they're doing IT exactly like the ecosystem we all hate so much.
I was getting so much like criticism and scrutiny and then all are like.
we're onna .
do IT anyway. I mean, we see this and I was warning sign I get well.
that's why the companies are doing IT because .
it's working up for apples, true, and they haven't actually got in real trouble for.
I wish I can take the best samsung features or products that I want and use IT with any android phone, which I feel like you .
used be able to do all time. That would be a close. yes.
Yeah, there would be two thousand twelve. yeah. Good time. Stay at the mine calendar.
Anything the ring to me? H sorry.
you just answer .
you found no.
i'm converting IT into a so in animal called me answering .
with bixby. Oh, what do you do? That rings. I totally get why a lot of people like them. I just feel like if you're like adam, when you're going to go lift, are you onna wear the .
ring when you're lifting? Yeah, I do. And IT has Marks and scratches .
all over IT that feels so uncomfortable.
IT is uncomfortable as specially like doing polyps and stuff like that. I get like lives terrible blisters, but eventually just get used.
Rest to put something on yes, and I get the ring. I don't think I get every user because of climbing or uh like lifting.
I don't like that and I like lifting is fine, climbing is a specific.
yes, funny. I always see, I I never noticed rings on pickle people's singers, but i'm always afraid to wear one because I think you have to be like a ring guy to wear ring, you know.
IT I use, if I don't think .
you have to, I think they're way more popular now. Yes, IT does take a minute to get used to. My wedding ring took a very long time. Go home and just take IT off immediately because I and I just in a ring and a watch, all of a sudden made my hand feel like heavier. I didn't .
like IT my information and helps me sleep Better.
But why you run to work out?
Yeah, play sports are going on like you climb, you .
can't climb with them.
No, I off. I used not even put video games. I take that out to.
I wear my room when I look like this golf, but it's on my left.
So matter was catching. Was golfing?
No, when I, when I did play a little ultimate after I married, I used like a silicon instead which issue and springs are way thicker than a regular?
Like yeah that's not thinking like this will be a fitness tracker and like a hell tracker but I don't want to wear IT. I'm doing any of the fitness things .
that that's yeah that's my my .
concern yeah OK well has a seventy battery so I can track sleeping and track all kinds of things .
just to be able to swim with that.
Yp hundred meters again, single real deep, single deep stupid driving with IT on if you want to to so that's cool. Ah it's yeah three ninety nine that's out there that's kind of IT has a cool case by the way, if you put that on the case, got this like pin system for charging and then I like lights up a ring around the ring showing how much Better I was wondering .
what that case was yeah.
charging case, clear case are back.
You don't need a charging case for for IT. You don't know .
the other ones.
You just have a little stand that you just plop IT onto .
but I want charge on the go well.
yeah now this is .
what that's for. Yeah, yeah.
I like that. I think last thing is IT. IT starts at three ninety nine.
Do we say that already is of question. How much is your superhuman?
I believe that's .
the trash .
can .
alter human. That's the email. Email up.
The superhuman .
simple .
human .
is Price of the ora. Let me just is there anything that hearing does or doesn't do that's like very different .
from the can connect other hey.
yeah, that's what I was thinking about when .
I when we were going over all this. I can still connect to whatever I want, but IT seems .
like the .
is a good. The galaxy ring is pretty. The galaxy ring does more active.
Uh, word .
cancellation, I guess. Like if I want to do a workout, I have to go into the yet. Thank you. If I want I to go into the APP and start workout, the galaxy ring will automatically do that.
which I work the section yeah actually that's huge because I hate IT on my wop. And when I work for a while that you had to I to go get my phone, start to workout because there is no other detection on things and that's a pain in the neck when you want to, just like put your phone away and go do something.
So the ultra human ring is three forty nine, so it's right in the middle.
interesting. I just six days of battery life.
pretty similar. So ah I feel like a lot of these are comparable. I'm gonna a jump into the rings testing Marks. So if anyone has any other things I should look out for when testing them, feel free to look a comment. Let me know if you use an orring. I'm not to like about is why I test this I know to look for yeah anyway yeah I know my ring says now so school, I think .
that IT oh.
the samsung okay yeah i'll grab IT in a second. I'll be then a man and half quick update .
for podcast listeners. Markets got a call in the middle of the podcast that these samsung vices were delivered. So we will be on boxing them and .
we pressing 来。
And we almost didn't because he just put IT to the cost cream, get the answer with things english. Imagine we don't get the same sung products because bixby answer something. What are those? Hey guys, what are get much .
of boxes here. Oh, wow, samsung ass has arrived. Ah yes.
So you really who just stop by the phone call that I kept dismissing was actually the samsung, uh, so these are all the devices we just talked about. This is the watch ultra with the orange band. Is that .
the one .
six six, which I believe would over in the blue guys know a little super minimal box? Yeah whah i'm kind of into act art style design and buz three buds three pro light box for the bus, three dark box for the buz. Three pro as pro is dark classic. And the galaxy ring, the sport of the map, black one, this be the man. Black is.
yeah, I think the ring on the front would represent the color.
Okay, so galaxy, so so we have so yeah, he's just finish talking about that. Now you can leave a comment about which ones you want to see a review of. First, i'm going to put IT out there.
The rain got the most comments. The rain got the most uh, interest in general. I think what i've seen, I think we should do the ring first. So it's probably going to be the first thing on box and test. Yeah but let us know if you are also interested in what else are .
you saving the on boxing experience for? Video.
when Andrew asked that what he means is, can I take IT out the box right now?
Is that cool? yeah. Ahead of the watch is really, can I do the ring of both?
Both OK let you go. And you want a box, a ring? yeah. I don't think .
we will ever back something on the podcast all the same time, at the same time, I yeah, I hold that away, away. Sorry, I did one pull tab can pull, we can pull through this together, pull through. I just have to say this, says, don't accept this.
He was broken. This definitely looks like it's one of the double seals. I I come .
opening the phone as well.
Is this not double seals like they definitely open IT and then read a seal on seems like typical review unit yeah.
Mars has the fold.
I have the fold out the box .
is tiantian is my box for the the watch and the band insides and it's and it's .
a White box inside the .
black with White or the .
black hair right is like on the boxes car, which kind of weird.
Oh.
this going ready to be silent for three seconds? yeah.
Pretty satisfying, considering it's still like paper .
screen cover.
which have not been as well. This is a bent on the inside. Oh, is right. My god. okay. Pretty there. able.
Pretty durable. This is why mark does do IT life. 喂, what's? Oh, this is not, this is not the apple watch.
They glow. You see that?
See the glow. Cy, multi eus and boxing experience.
Oh, I got you. So this is the ring case closing, ready?
So let's place to light .
place now this packages is incredible, the way lights of .
the device and yeah the facing um we can confirm now though .
the question before this definitely does not fit with an apple watch because he doesn't slide its snaps as the apple watch lure.
These feel really late.
which is good. I am bad. I mean, no.
I think it's good.
They feel well, that thing about certain wearable, you wanted to be light because you're wearing IT. But a smart but IT feels cheap because it's like bad, like A V R headset. good.
But yeah headphones like you know how apple make set phones that are heavy than everyone else is they feel really premium, but they also so heavy good. And they make A V R heads set that's have you than everyone else. So IT feels really premium, but it's also so heavy yeah so now, yeah, I like.
I love this so we just unbox everything except this next trivia question.
Well played.
good. All right. So up on the score. By the way, we're all tied at thirteen. Wow, seems .
really .
unlucky. It's gonna episode I I if .
you guys get points so this .
next trivial question is an audio around I sent Alice and on you clip that he is going to play and the question .
will coming in immediately in phones aren't web browsers. They are portals to the most important places, people and passions in our lives. And yet they have the same screens they had ten years ago. Boxin on all sides until now is just a new smart phone, but a new kind of smart phone. IT Marks a new era smartphone design, the perfect baLance of form and function, art and science, design and technology, and is my pleasure to introduce an innovation that will change the way you see your smart phone and everything on IT the infinity display.
What phone was this?
He said.
I love when it's bleeping sounds rounds because IT just sounds .
like their cursing. It's not the meme one because that would .
been in chinese. This is the .
display .
to display. And what was the first have that? Well, there's multiple answers to that.
Well, okay, i'll give you a little hand here. The first samsung phone to have that.
There's also still I have a an answer that will probably wrong at least take up the first one, right?
Well, think about this one and back break.

let's go places. Hey, little from the koto with the we spend a lot of time talking about some of the most important people in taking business about what they're putting resources to and why they think it's so critical for the future. That's why we're doing this special series, diving into some of the most unique ways companies are spending money today.
For instance, what does that mean to start buying and using A I at work? How much is that costing companies? What products are they buy? And most importantly, what are they doing with IT and of course, podcasts? Yes, the thing you listening to you right now, well, it's increasingly being produced directly by companies like venture capital firms, investment funds and a new crop of creators who one day want to be investors themselves.
And what is actually going on with these acquisitions this year, especially in A I space, why are so many big players in tech deciding not to acquire and instead license tech can hire away cofounded ers? The answer, IT turns out, is a lot more complicated than that seems you'll hear all that and more this month i'm decoder with the litel presented by strike. You can listen to the coder whatever you .
get your podcast very common um we are going to talk very briefly what did you say?
German erman you were just speaking german a bunch to me yesterday. I understand .
you german expressions, but not all .
of the landing .
sound like english.
I'm right. It's .
true anyway, true OK. However, butterfly is smeton ling.
that's butterfly .
and ambiance is nobody .
like crazy car.
We are so .
far off crazy, also sick at the .
the David can hear the crank wagon. When is he doesn't right?
I want to talk about spotify adding comments to podcast. An activity pub OK activity pub s is not part of this dering.
I am going .
to make a part of IT. So uh so there's update to spotify recently where they're now allowing uh, comments on podcast. The way that they are implementing this is very interesting. Effectively, listeners can leave comments on podcast, but every single comment is held for review. So you only show the comments that you want to show, which seems very authoritarian.
We like, like for away from we would choose. yeah. Imagine if yelp .
was like that you only nice.
but this good. That's really kind of what weird .
thing about this is like. You probably only going to publish the positive comments, which is strange, and then people can leave comments on the podcast itself, which to me .
just is a review okay?
Yeah, it's what .
apple podcast IT has a yes.
that's a review.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just calling something different.
There's also other podcast that are like on subset or something where you can do comments in there and IT turns into a kind of discussion type of area. So I guess that's kind of what they are going for.
I yes yeah it's just it's weird that every single common is voted. But you know um they previously had a pole and Q N A option on podcast in spotify that apparently got a decent amount of traction. Another applying for comments um and in my opinion, this is just like another way for them to try to keep people in the spotify podcasting ecosystem.
Similarly to the other day when we talked about apple music or apple podcast allowing for subscriptions with an apple podcast, this goes against everything that podcasts were made for the the uh phrase get get IT whatever you get. Your podcast is a very powerful phrase because podcast based on R S S can just go through the system. Um and I am consistently more frustrated that every platform that tries to make unique features in their ecosystem that keeps people in their ecosystem when podcasts as a idea are made to be gotten anywhere. So this one .
feels like not as like the apple one was like went for me throughout that. This is people on this platform being able to comment yeah and stuff.
It's just that if you had activity pub, right? okay. So activity pub podcast can ready go through activity pub. And so if you have a platform that can accept uh, these federated content pieces of content, you could just comment on a podcast through activity pub and then you would be able to see those comments everywhere. So you don't need to just be locked into the spotify platform to see the spotify comments for a podcast, you'd be able to see everyone's comments for the podcast .
SHE you said those magical words they locked in. If I spotify, I would want people locked in .
here if you have most of the people in the ecosystem because yeah, when we talk about standards organizations, apple usually wants to lock people in as well. But they are embraced a matter because nobody has apple home kit devices because they don't have that many home kit devices and there's way more google assistance and amazon echo devices. There is easier for them to do that.
Anyway, i'm just saying that a considering podcast were originally made to be gotten anywhere. It's just very frustrating to see like more and more platforms like trying to make more features that exclusive the platform. I agree with you that that's not a huge.
I think, minor.
my much more angry apple for this. But IT would be good podcasting .
because it's a bit available anywhere also makes you really hard for us to tell like downloads and lessons and even like see reviews before reviews were mostly only on apple podcast. Then spot I added a star system with no comments and then now there are comments, but that's still annoying that there are like our pocket could be a three star, spotify and a five star on .
apple watch that be a yes, there would be great because it's just everyone in the world.
Like why is there a difference between the people on one platform and another platform like there's an apple on the google play store and an APP on the apple APP store and they have different ratings. It's like you can do the math yourself, I guess.
to get the average between them. That tRicky because they might be an experience if the same part .
we apple people here are pocket differently, then ended people.
We though the certain yeah I don't know what .
just happened, but yeah, I kind of a great David because I feel like content should be the universal thing yeah. Like comments, qs, polls, everyone should be able to see that. I like the idea of everyone competing on features.
Yes, exactly. So like threats, for example, under this top mode, just put the like tweet, that kind of style that's cool. Eventually they eventually be. And I can choose the analysis when the .
twitter API was open and we had all the different twitter apps and you downloaded a different twitter up because I had different features like that should be the content should be the universal thing and then the features around the content should be your thing that you compete .
on hypothetical should you to be included in this? I think so ah because on youtube has hundreds of comments every week and lots of ratings on every episode. Yeah not I mean, if we put the same video everywhere, the same yeah.
I one hundred percent agreed because like right now you can put a video on twitter or whatever and it's like you're gonna get comments. So why don't why isn't they're just a comments section for everything.
shareholder value?
That's actually the real answer.
We all know that the answer thing .
is yeah would be great. It's like imagine of a blog and nobody goes to very few people go to your blog on your website to comment on your websites blog, but you publish the blog on twitter and tones of people talk about IT. Why isn't weren't the comment sections the same on twitter or threats than they are in your blog, like they could all be the same comment section? Remember google .
plus every time we talked about activity, put my country like a gold and look in his eye where he's like .
remembering the google plus days. In my day, every website had a plus one button in a corner, and that was just across the whole internet. You could be the first one to plus one an article. You could be the five thousand person to plus one something and everything .
had some at least um yeah at least activity public startid by the word web consortium and not google fair. I wouldn't want a company to be the one that's running like all comments sections around the entire internet first, because I was dead two years later.
So yd, ally.
if we could hypothetically .
ally upload this podcast video everywhere the acas was suggesting with the features that bring us to youtube, be monetization .
to .
be disabled.
How do you say .
that .
in german? Is is a total gas science? science. yeah. But what's the number?
I think it's just .
erase all the balls.
Pretty much all the .
germans .
gonna yell at you.
And i'm german, up fifty, was a good man at all.
A E, I, O, U.
sometimes. Why why .
something?
Sometimes sometimes it's it's most of the time and I just had this discussion. It's A E I O U, and pretty much all of the time.
Why is the why and sink of .
how often is why is more often .
of you don't know what .
you think there's a while at the .
end of yeah I think we are saying .
is yuki .
then one one example .
he has two yeah.
little john was very yeah.
I know.
I didn't mean that. I didn't mean that. That's my, that's my age demographic too.
IT is new minds, by the way.
No, how to get cancelled for value? That's how i'm leaving this .
podcast is value numerous amErica we need .
at the post.
It's a great .
time to do testing these .
devices.
Here's very much all .
right question. Number one, before what they call quick .
number ions before .
I after nearby share, they call IT quick hair, quick share. Okay, there was quick hair. And before that there was nearby share. And before that, IT used N, F, C.
What was google NFC wireless data transfer protocol? 好。 For anyone in the audience um I read on the internet that NFC has a standard distance limitation of four centimeters and I could not find a single site for that fact despite google and google and google. So if you're an engineer and you happen to know where I can find the official cat for four centimeters, being the maximum distance for NFC communication podcast at M.
K B H T 点 com is .
where the senate flipper .
and read boys .
and me deam is correct。 What else do we have .
we bother tap to share?
Hm debuted on the nexus four.
Remember that? Remember.
android beam is such a good.
If this choice android .
beam is like definitely something they would call IT back, that in the android, is there really like, really embracing .
the like five?
We be google boring, like being lies, like distance. But your family literally had to be touch obvious.
Ly IT only touched to get the handshake. I know now they .
had to be touched. They had to be four centimeters away, which during .
the entire transfer, yes.
if I was four centimeters away from adam and he d be like .
you're touching me right now yeah but now you can transfer heat, which is what then dad doing.
And data payment .
and contact information.
Question number two, yes, i'm going to play you or well, more accurate, Alice is gone to play you an audio clip from a samsung and impact vent.
Phones aren't just music players or web browsers, their portals to the most important places, people and passions in our lives. And yet they have the same screens they had ten years ago. Curry, on all sides until now, isn't just a new smart phone, but a new kind of smart phone. IT Marks a new iron smartphone design, the perfect baLance of form and function, art and science, design and technology is my pleasure.
Is this innovation .
that will change the way you see your smart phone and everything on IT. The infinity display.
what phone was announced with infinity display that year? There were multiple phones within finite display, but this was specifically for a single phone when they first announced.
Oh, really yes.
Like which one talking about during .
this part be wrong? Fly multiple phones with infinity play.
We got.
wait, David, oh, I put galpy fold one. Well, gas y fold no.
And you, I put the gas y no edge.
No, my.
the real answers is the galaxy no edge. But that's not the answer you want. You want me to say galaxy S A?
Oh.
I remember .
the .
edge that's IT .
only right on .
the right side.
why? why?
Why would the device called the edge have something called the infinity to?
But IT was just that, only one edge of IT in the.
but only on one side.
No both. So this is back in the obsession where the manufacturers would quote, like, we have an eighty nine percent in and we've got ninety, oh my god, and ninety two. And this was one samsung ish, just like we curve the screen out of the edges.
And IT basically looks .
like it's an infinite s confusing sound Green ten years is like a year ago, the got no edge that we're basically taking this away from.
Yes, I remember called when I was just .
confused like if you were going to call something something to display, I don't know why you call attention to .
an edge yeah when you're looking at from the .
IT basically looks in fini, whatever the i'll .
like that point though. cool. Wow, wow. All right. Well, I was fun. Well, i've got a bunch of testing now to do. As you can tell by the video version of the podcast, we've just got boxes scattered everywhere and we've got them in our hands. So let us know if you want to see and the reviews I want to be, where in all kinds of stuff and holden things and testing. So will we reading your comment .
one smarter ing for each finger?
Are you going to double watch markets?
I may have to have one year, but and one year and the other and the other have one phone in each pocket. And like, yeah. Catch, I has an next podcast with all the verbs on the same time.
thanks. Washing later, this water is produced by ada.
Love you, microsoft.
do you? No.
