Well, well, you could do that actually have a different vehicle. And I want to talk about briefly and you can watch the out of focus video. You want the full breakdown. But we did briefly have the revision r one s gen to here.

Um I was curious about IT because I am personally a revision r one tea first gene owner and I regularly drive I was I saw the second gene stuff get announced and I saw some reviews and I wasn't at any other like experiences demos ahead. So I was wondering how much of this stuff is really noticeable. There's a whole lot of stuff are talking about here, less wiring.

Oh, there is a couple of new features here and there. But how much of this stuff will I actually notice? Because i'm i'm going to buy a second, then I have a first generation, but let me see.

So they got one in her hands. And I actually, I put my with the other. I reviewed IT.

I live with IT for a week. And IT turns out there's two main things that I really notice about IT. One is suspension and the way drives and the new drive trains, which actually improved.

Uh, basically what they did is so there's we had the triple motor, a hundred fifty horse power r one s je to try max is what it's called three hundred and seventy miles of range, roughly the equivalent powers wise of the first gen, which had quiet motors. But what they did is they they split apart the all purpose and sport modes a little bit more. So I think if you read older views of the first generation ans, a lot of people are saying things like ride a little harsh.

It's a little bit too tightly strung. Things like that and like other full size trucks, are much softer and much more forgiving to drive. So they made the all purpose mode software, everything. There's a little bit software. The accelleration peddle is a little bit softer.

The region is a little software suspensions, a little softer, but that sport mode is even firmer, which is actually very firm for a for a truck for seven thousand nine vehicle is really tightly spring IT can be a little much on regular stress, but that's what they mainly did. And that's what I noticed when driving IT the the everything is the cameras are just all dramatically Better, which is it's a small thing. But like the first gen, when you put your black round and that shows you the feet of your blind spot and it's like IT looks like it's covered in a layer of greece and it's like two forty p.

Okay, I can see if there's a car there, but I can't really see that. Well, the new one's they're like super crisp hd, like hyda namic c range, great colors like and by the way, that are just blinker cameras. They are the the dash camp.

They are the center mode cameras. They are very useful cameras. So all the camera is being dramatically Better. I thought those great.

That is something that always surprised me that companies would chep out on the cameras on these cars because cameras are pretty cheap now. And I know that you just want to make a very small model and whatever. But I didn't pressure the difference between like a 4， A P, back up camera. And back up camera is the cost at this point something .

and especially, it's a small cost that leads .

to a high quality of life improvement.

yeah. Well, I guess when you're living in, I don't know how much they have changed. I think there's a ton of smaller things. They have changed. But when I looked at those cameras in the first one, IT doesn't look like they were never meant to be displayed that big, especially the side of view cameras, like one I that originally actually had never showed that. And then there was a soft up, and then they started showing you the blind spot cameras.

And I look at and like, there's something on my cameras doesn't look like they are ever meant to be displayed yeah now these new ones are like, great. yeah. So I .

think tela was able to improve .

the cameras, sort Better. You would never see a difference this big just from software like there are nine and are different, which is great. So I love seeing that.

So can I talk about the interior of this? Was is this like a special addition one?

No, did have the high. And I think it's called the accent trim. I will double check that, but I did have the nice interior.

You remember when ford used to do an edible dian, uh, expedition? I think in about fifty i'm kind of picture IT. So this to me felt like the L L, B addition flacks all over the have like plant and and this IT spoke to me sitting inside.

This was just like, I am at home as A, A, A northeast White podcast who loves a good I P. A. This thing was like, here, home, a lift. Also, the wood trim on this is way Better. I don't know this is because it's .

a different wood trim but this so good i'm not really hot on the l ban vibe but i'm happy that you're .

It's got a fifty wireless charger at all four of the front row sea. It's huge olid streams in the front. It's got self aligning, H U D display.

It's got self driving. It's got a sensor is where you can, like, do gestures to move media from the back seat to the front seat screen. It's all this in the .

auto park was not so good.

And maybe the best auto park I ve ever seen. And i've tried a couple different auto park systems. This confidently auto park to the bunch of variables IT prey.

They have A A singular light, our sensor on the top of that car. That's probably yeah mix .

machine vision and the ride is it's called like magic carpet suspension and IT is like like you're not .

you just like floating is on the is on the level of the i'll say at the roles spector, which was maybe like this softish magic carpet E V experience. And it's also like really good internal acoustics. So like you drive around in that thing and you basically just feel like you're floating along the road and then he had a pot hole and it's kind like.

And you run over increasingly larger things. And good for new jersey. It's tasse. It's great for new jersey.

Know nothing about the manufacturing and nothing about how they are overseas. So I can beat to that as car that we are seeing here, which is obviously went to us from the company. So take you with the Green assumed that IT is it's one of the most fun inside of a car i've seen since this year.

Hi, welcome back. Let's talk new max. Last week, we did get that press least week of new max.

And now by the end of this week, reviews started to come out, uh, including our mac mini review, which should be up the time as podcasts out so we can talk about this one, the sole guy here um basically and I guess i'll spoil the review a little bit if you haven't seen IT yet. But three main things are crazy about this mac. Many one is obvious.

It's tiny on my calling in my hand right now it's a five inch by five inch by two inches. Little luck tanguay thing. Nobody was asking for a smaller mac money, but here we are.

It's like the smallest little thing you've ever seen. It's a full size that stop computer full and foreign. And for projects there, crazy house, smaller is thermal, seem to be totally fine. I just IT just keeps getting smaller. It's crazy.

It's really cool.

Yeah, so that's that. I call that a drunken max studio because the old money is more like a like a like flat, a flatter. That sounds a little. It's actually tar in the old mac many. It's too interest tall, but it's this .

makes the max studio. I put this on top of the next studio. IT makes them next studio actually .

like I saw on richest desk and I like well that things like.

I don't remember that feeling big like that I was always.

that's a fairly small. Next studio is cesspool ily small? Yeah, it's a very powerful computer. Yeah, I love an x studio. I thing is way small.

know that when IT sits on top, every corner of duck tape perfectly alliance with the sides of the the mac mini, if ducked, had corners, IT would be. And then the side, oh, sorry, i'm doing on the table.

I we were just trying to compare IT to things and like everyday items and I grab this and IT happened to be almost.

One gig. If your net, by default, you can, for hundred box, make a ten gig, I think yeah. And then H M I full size and three thero four ports by on the m4 pro， become thone about five.

Still no power button, you might notice, uh, on the top, just that little apple logo, still no power burton, you might notice a on the sides, totally blank. The thing is nicer, clean. Still no power button.

You've probably noticed at this point I turned upside down and you see the intake fans and the power button at the back bottom corner. Um so I just you know throughout the conspiracy theory in the mac many review, but i'm sticking by IT. I think think IT is someone's job at apple to create to come up with with every new design.

One obvious, not that big a deal, but easy to complain about things to take the heat off of anything. I go a this is the same person that started with a noch in the iphone. This is the same person that has the port at the bottom of the magic mouse.

Instead, anywhere else. This is the same person who might even started taking the head one jack away. But this person definitely shows to put the power button on the bottom of the .

David and I talked about this last week before we said, IT is not possible to press this button unless you physically IT up.

Yeah, that's what I thought .

you could at least like kind of stick your finger under impressed IT.

It's very, very small and light and generally it's something to be that big of deal. However, just like the original mac money, people build set up around IT, right? Like a lot of people buy these so that they can put like destroy risers over IT and stuff. And again, I am in the camp or i'm like I don't think I really need to turn off my computer that often has not that big video. And if I do need to all just like pick up the back a little bit.

but little IT is a little .

bit of knowing it's one of those things that apple us sometimes where they're just like form over function.

IT is an objectively bad place to put IT the exact same way the port at the bottom of the magic mouse is objectively the worst place to put IT. But it's probably fine and not a big deal once a while that actually use.

We are also in one of those was really awkward situations where they have two products out right now. And one is an objectively bad deal compared to the other one because the m for proverb of this computer is faster than the m to ultra, which is what shipping in the max studio right now. A max studio for the equivalent back basically is more than double the Price effectively.

Yeah um you're getting obviously way more course. So if that is something that you specifically need, there's the studio you're also getting, uh the USB airports and that pretty much IT. Um so what and where we were at when people were still needing to buy intil max because and compatibility, but literally the only situation that you would buy the into mac is because of compatibility.

I don't really see a world where you would buy the max studio over a faster mac. Many right now. Yeah unless for some reason you absolutely needed built in U S B A, which I don't know, you couldn't just use an adapter or you absolutely needed a built in st.

Card reader, which again, I don't know why you couldn't use an adapter. yeah. So i'm not really sure if they're going to like discontinue this or just updated. They haven't officially announced. And for alter chipset, if they did IT would be great because the mac studio is also still on to ultra.

Yeah so my mac studios is over. Do so. I guess this gets me i'll just finish my opening point, which is there's three crazy things about this make many.

First one of size, the other two are the base m for mac mini is a great deal is five ninety nine is just the base m fortnight. They double IT to sixteen gigs of on board memory. It's got all these ports.

It's tiny thermals. A great performance is is great. It's like that's a that's a damn good entry.

Mac, good job. yeah. The third and final thing is, wait a second. The most powerful mac mini is the most powerful C P U mac so far. This stop mac det c, because the m4 pro is the fastest single core performance we've ever seen on any mac， obviously with m four or m three or m two.

And then yeah the m four pro is benchmarking above and one max and pu and g no yeah at the point you're making, I think, is that the the m2 max are overdue for an upgrade。 The mac pro, the max studio we are we're going to hopefully see m four ultra and get all of those updated sometime soon. We don't have that yet.

We just have macbook pro with the m very weird to me that they didn't do that already. Yeah so are kind of staggers all these in for makeup grades. But yeah, as of right now, mac money is in a really impressive space.

Yeah and then as you noted in your review, what's very funny about this is that the base model is an extremely good deal at five ninety nine.

And then if you have an education discount IT for four ninety nine, which is even crazy or sit, but once you add the additional SSD storage and you add the RAM, no longer a great do you have almost an entire extra mac mini? Yeah, so maybe the rain could be worth IT, but honestly, they're thero four ports on the back. For the base model, just buy an external site or an st. Enclosure and permanently mounted .

to the back and you'll be fine.

So that's a name I having. No, well, so yeah these I guess you are limited imports only of three USB c ports. So and on the back three thunderin the back and then two USB c on the it's .

yeah thinking about running like a cow digit onto this knowing is the same size pretty right. Like to add an actual dock into this for more. I O, yes, the same sizes is the actual computer.

I understand that this computer is very cheap. I am pretty bombed out that the parts on the front are just be because that's going to be the most common part that you attached. Externalities is t too. It's going to be hard to get to the back.

So you here's a question. Would you rather have three U, S, B, three ports on the back and two thunderin the front over the three thunder boat on the front, and two U. S.

This has two U. S. B on the front and three thunderbolt the back. Would you rather, would you be OK with losing a thunderbird? But they're on the front, and then the back are just three USB.

Yeah at this moment the front part is always most convenient when I plug a therapist, my mac pro, which is also the same situation, get an error message that he says you can't plugged in this thinking able accessory into the sport. And I have to unplug IT and pug in in the back with the thunder able ports. So people are going to get that message if they try to plug a fast S, S, D. Into the front. Yeah, not the port for this, the back.

And as i'm looking at this, can I have a low key conspiracy theory and why they didn't do that? Because then they would have to put the logo on the front and that would kill the aesthetic of IT being really like this.

I max studios with thero on the front. No, I think I don't think even the ultra is oh okay.

So because I mean the alter don't want to look on the front.

Because the ultra of the mac mini is also not the able that's really said is an ultra problem. Sorry, not yeah the mac many none of money yeah. So that is a little disappointing. It's gonna harder to get to the backwards. And for people that are like for tom pers that need to use external s sd a lot to transfer files quickly, yeah, it's gonna be very annoying to I think that is more annoying than the power button on the bottom.

So I think that is my theory about apples. Price latter's is even though IT is actually totally capable chip wise, performance wise of being like the photographers computer or like the light editors computer is not meant to be. It's still just the entry mac for like a casual like the think about the M P imac, which is just twelve hundred box. Obviously it's not cheap, but it's like a very casual, this baseline computer to just get .

is the basic computer where you want your own monitor. You don't want the imac because like .

I would call the imac the baseline 1 dollars already。 You just I don't want to get a mac. I'll get the five hundred thousand, six hundred dollar mac mini. And that's plenty computer for every casual thing you're going to do.

Actually, I could see this. This is perfect for the like. I've a friend who does like software engineering and he as just a mac mini and is gaming P C. Hooked up to the same monitoring and just swap so this .

is great to just like is A K V M switch.

Yeah I just like code on this. If you'd prefer to do that on mac and then switch over your computer.

But on the same, the second you are going to be the fatigue working about how many ports do I need or how many external drives are going to plug in or anything like that. They walk, you write up to the max studio because you start to think about like pro or how much more i'm going .

USB three reports. But IT has U S, B.

A has more ports, yes. And on back. And then two U, S, B, A.

it's not that many more a bunch of U, S, B.

Well, you say that and that makes perfect logical sense. But if you walk up the rungs of the latter one by one, you you kind of end up their first thing you think, like the base max studio, as you say, is a two thousand dollars right now to pro. So much slower.

It's i'm too max, sorry. Yes, so it's a Better. You are almost as good. Well, IT should be Better, but it's not but it's empty mad. I think we all know it's not a great right now because we won't and for stuff in there. But yeah, you for that Price will get all the extra ports you will get hopefully soon and four max.

So anyway, that's I think you are in a weird because max apples lineup is not fully updated to him for which is why this like weird comparison kind of make sense. But I think hopefully soon mac studio gets m for, mac pro gets m for yeah and then everything is on a tear. IT feels like apple .

only seized the front ports as a way to like charge the magic keyboard and the magic mouse that I I in all of the press stuff. They just show IT like having the um playstation controller plugged to IT or the teenage engineering thing plugged into IT. But they don't actually show anything transfering data .

just charging substantive.

We talk with the microphone yeah okay that's the last thing we got here which is this is the new m four generation maco pro um cheese. I haven't upgraded my macbook pro and three years we are talking about this before. I was twenty eight years old when I got my my m one a.

We and yeah I was just a child and i've been using in every sense and I haven't really been tempted by any of the upgrades from m one, m two, silly and one to m three. I don't really need IT. M four old m four max comes out and m four pro, these new laptops now there, starting to stack the improvements on top of each other over the and one generation.

Not that I need some performance improvement, but they also that a couple little things, one, uh, about five. So faster. I O for those S S S for those big projects.

Two, those a nano texture option on the display. Interesting very interesting that that this is IT you've seen IT. It's pretty safe looking yeah ah I have thought on IT and in three IT is facebook and the first one isn't.

So it's just kind of like a bunch of little things now stacking up on top. So this is the first one I at least thought about switching from my three old and one max to this uh, brand new m for max. Um we are still the review process on that.

So I don't have an answer yet. I will say it's a great laptop. It's very expensive, but IT is very performance.

IT is a on our export test, basically twice as fast as my laptop, unlike major multitasker apps, which is awesome. So i'm i'm liking this laptop also so far yeah pretty cat. I think every .

single year up until now, people been like the performance improvements are like twenty percent little bumps, but the m one generation and jump was so big from intel in general, both in thermos as well as performance.

The people are just like, why would I ever knew this? And I continue to believe that generally, if you had no one max, I I bought no one max and the first came out, I don't plan on upgrading because i'm like, yes, it's faster, but it's already so good that until it's like really, really, really good or my computers dies and you we have like years left on our life, you can get like six to seven years out of these computers. Um the things that I am really excited about, the thing about five, I think this can be huge ah that's only in the pro of the mac mini.

But IT is on these laptops, which is awesome on all the ports. Yet a per cool. It's nice to see apple adopting a new standards.

S like technology early. They obviously did adopt U S, B, C. Really early peace five came out like a year ago and there's only like a razor laptop right now IT.

So it's kind of all seeing them and push that out. So hopefully more S S D come out with IT. Uh, I think the name of texture display IT looks a very, very good at one hundred fifty dollar .

I'm kind of torn on IT. I think that looks phenomenal and that's because I took IT out the box and it's been two days and IT doesn't have any fingerprints, anything on IT looks so good. Just touch.

Yeah just don't ever have anyone ever touched you with anything. What i'm curious about is i've had the intertexture prosper ay x yours for years now, and those things do not wear well like anything touches IT of any IT. If you use any polishing clock that's not the apple one.

And the thing I ve really like about IT is the U. X. Is like insanely simple, but IT is insanely consistent. Like IT always works. The only time I have trouble with IT is when i'm literally setting right in front of my apartment and because my phone is like trying to connect to my wifi network, can't do IT, so I turn the wifi nearly off in at work. You just literally slide to unlock IT unlocks the front door of the apartment building is super simple. You can create, it's so simple IT literally looks like the code this in a day, like it's not very like super, but you can create virtual keys and you just put in like the name of the key, how long you wanted to last, if it's occurring.

that just write me a terrible one, so you can create.

You can create like a visual key that you then text to someone, say, IT last for this amount of time. And IT gives them A Q R code and also a pen. So when they go outside you're building, they can either just scan the Q R code or put in the pen.

But I realized I have one more thing, which is the nest yell smart lock on my like back door, which is supposed to have all these features, like I can make a virtual key, I can make a one time password. So if someone's visiting, I can give them the past code that only works one time and then someone else tries IT won't work. All these nice features supposed to have, but now that I don't have a nest APP, it's literally not connected to my smart home ecosystem at all. Oh, so IT just has the one past code is always had and I can remotely open or close IT. I can do anything with any of those features.
