Thus, according to the results of the survey carried out in November, agents expect inflation to end the year above current levels, the last interannual rate registered in October being 8.1%, which is explained by to the double-digit rates registered in the middle of the current year. These forecasts would continue to place inflation in Paraguay above the medium-term goal set by the Central Bank of 4%.

As regards interest rates, economic agents expect them to remain at the current levels, of 8.5%, both in November and December. Meanwhile, by the end of 2023, they expect them to fall to 6.70%.

Said survey is carried out on a representative panel of the main economic sectors that include banks, financial entities, risk rating agencies, brokerage firms, consulting companies, independent analysts, economic organizations and universities. It allows knowing their projections on the evolution of the main macroeconomic variables.
