Underwater search for the missing plane

AUSTRALIA - The authorities who have been looking for the Boeing of Malaysia Airlines for the last few weeks that sank last March 8, have started a new phase that is being conducted 'under the sea' and where known equipment is being used as a pinger locater with the purpose of finding the black box of the plane.

Flight 'MH370', that day, disappeared from the radar during the journey from Malaysia to China and yesterday, a ship of the Australian marine forces called Ocean Shield was pulling the locator that downloads up to 240 kilometer deep in the sea. This while another ship with similar capabilities - the HMS Echo - also took part in this commitment which (also) had the support of several other planes and ships.

The plane that disappeared had 239 people on board who were traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Meanwhile, the authorities still believe that the Boeing crashed in the middle of the Indian Ocean even if the parts of the plane have not yet been found.
