Updated: A man is in danger of death after a shooting in Msida
Update: 10.30am | Vince Muscat was one of the people accused of the attempted murder of two Policemen in a failed hold-up at the HSBC Head Office in Qormi in 2010. Muscat was granted provisional liberty. It seems that the way the shooting took place was similar to that of February 4, when Joe Galea, 58 years old and known as "The Skin", was shot dead outside his home. in Marsa. A 52-year-old man is in danger of losing his life after being hit by gunshots late last night in Triq Bordin, Msida. From a preliminary investigation carried out by the Police, it appears that the man, Vince Muscatli, who lives in the same street, had just left his residence at around 11.30pm and as he was about to ride the vehicle, a number of shots were fired. of shots some of which hit him.
It seems that a total of five shots were fired and Muscat, despite being injured, managed to drive to the Msida police station from where he asked for help. The Police who were at the Police Station gave him first aid until an Ambulance arrived and took him to the Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The first medical results showed that the man, who is well known to the Police, is in a critical condition and in danger of losing his life.
Police Magistrate Ian Farrugia appointed several experts to assist him in the inquiry. The Police are investigating this attempted murder and so far it appears that no one has been arrested.
