The U.S. elected President Trump appointed Andrew Ferguson to lead the Federal Trade Commission. The institution is committed to implementing anti-conflict and consumer protection laws.
Republican Senator Ferguson has been appointed by the committee since 2024. He was nominated by President Biden and is a member of the committee formed by two parties of five. Consumer protection and competition are not issues of the party. Ferguson used to be the deputy chief prosecutor of Virginia and the chief legal adviser of Senator McConnell.
