Christian Parenti is an investigative journalist, academic, and the author of several books, including "Lockdown America: Police and Prisons in the Age of Crisis" and "Radical Hamilton: Economic Lessons from a Misunderstood Founder.” He has reported from various locations such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Venezuela, and China. He is currently a professor of economics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
