Hello, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Christ with Coffee on Ice. I am your host, Allie Yost. It is a joy and honor to be here with you guys today. Happy Friday. Happy day, everyone. We have our coffee on ice. I keep bringing these... Why does it look chunky, Allie? I'm gonna tell you guys. Wait, hold on. Hold on, okay? I'm gonna tell you why it looks a little chunky.
Okay, so it looks chunky because I found this coffee mix. Okay, it's like instant coffee, but it's protein coffee. Okay, so for every scoop, it's 10 grams of protein. It's really healthy. Actually, the ingredients are super clean, believe it or not. And it's gorgeous. The brand is called Javi. This is literally not an ad. I just, I wanted to share this with you guys and I love them. And I honestly discovered them on TikTok shop, but they're also on Amazon. You look it up.
Yeah, it's really good. I literally have been making these for myself like every morning. And I will say that especially if you do two scoops, sometimes I do two scoops, the texture can get a little thicker, which is why. But why do I like that, though? I'm like drinking them and I'm like, this is actually kind of yummy. It's giving like a coffee smoothie or like a coffee shake. And then sometimes if we're already like in the shake vibe, right, it kind of it's a little thicker than your typical coffee. I'll also put collagen in it, too. So it's just overall we're getting all sorts of benefits while all
So drinking our coffee. So anyway, that's why it looks a little funny. And y'all, this is the one that I told you has a big crack on it. Whatever. It's still working. It works. So we have our coffee on ice. We have our protein coffee on ice. Guys, I have to admit something. I forgot my Bible today.
Ooh, I know. It's really, really bad actually. I literally forgot it. I was reading it and just out of reflex, I put it up on my shelf as I do before packing all of my things. Also forgot my blanket. It's not here right now, so. Wait, yeah, I didn't put the blanket up, duh. Hold on, actually, I did bring the blanket. I just forgot to set it up. One second, guys. One moment.
Okay, y'all, we have our blanket. Anyway, I literally forgot my Bible, which is awful, but I do have the Bible on my phone. I just love having it in person. I think this is the first time ever recording the podcast where I don't have my Bible, so please forgive me. But I will say that today's episode, we're going to talk about a topic, and we are going to refer to Scripture.
But yeah, we can just look up whatever we need on our phone. But how are you guys? I hope that you're having a great day. Yeah, so I wanted to talk about, and this is a very famous story in the Bible. A lot of us already might be familiar with it, but it is the story of the shepherd boy named David fighting this giant called Goliath. And I want to talk about it because actually the very thing that inspired me to speak about this today is the show called
House of David. I don't know if you guys have been watching it. It's on Amazon Prime. Ashley and I have been watching it at night. And because we really try to end our days. I try my best to make every part of my day somehow about God. You know, like I just really want him in every part of my life. But it's so crazy. I don't know if... Have I told this to you guys before? So I...
realized there was a time in my life where I was getting prophetic dreams all the time from God, which was something I had to earnestly pray for and ask for until they finally started coming. And I was hitting kind of a drought in my journey with the Lord where like I wasn't getting as many dreams anymore.
Near none, actually. I would just wake up and no dreams at all. And after Googling and stuff, there were some things that I had found online that said that it really actually matters what you're consuming right before bed and what your routine looks like right before you go to sleep. And even like how you're waking up.
in the mornings. And so for me, I had realized that I wasn't consuming bad content, but it was also content that just didn't really have anything to do with the Lord. I would just be like scrolling on TikTok before I'm going to bed, which obviously we all know is not the best for us in general, not just talking about prophetic dreams or any of that, but it's like, it probably just shouldn't be doing that. But I was scrolling on my phone all the time before bed, just consuming all of this silly content. And then Ashley and I would watch shows and they wouldn't...
We were watching Gilmore Girls for a little bit and I will say the first few seasons were so sweet and wholesome like they didn't feel super super worldly and then as the series went on it got really worldly and we felt we didn't even finish it we felt convicted about watching it which was sad because I really liked it but then you know that's okay. It's okay that's what the spirit of God is for is to convict our spirits when their things are just not right and it's probably not a good influence for us to be consuming through our eyes or our ears. So
We have been trying to make it more of a priority that at the ends of our days, whether it's a show to watch or it's like literally simply putting worship music on our TV, soaking music, we're just sitting, we're catching up on our days, we're reflecting, we're praying, like we're spending time with God, but we're making sure that at the least, like at the end of our day, we're sealing it with God and things that have to do with God.
So thank God for the show House of David because obviously very biblically sound show amazing all about the Bible all about God. I will say the first couple episodes. I was kind of like, I don't know like I wasn't really in I don't know. I don't like all the fighting and stuff. It's just me being a girl. I'm like, I don't like all the blood and the fighting and things like that, even though that's
probably very much how that time was. I didn't really love that. But y'all, the show is so good. Like, whoa. The more we kept watching it, the more I was like, wait, I'm obsessed with this. I loved that we were seeing the life of David. I had so much more respect for David and his story and his faith.
And also it literally inspired me so much to have that kind of faith, you know, because we all know the story of David. But to watch it like that, I was like, wait, no, I want to have that kind of faith. It's so inspiring and it's so encouraging because the very God that was with David is this is the same God that is with us today. Like we forget that, you know, even when it goes back to the Old Testament and stories like this, it's like that is literally the same God that we talk about today.
that we're talking about right now on this podcast, and the same God that is walking with you every single day. Can you believe that? I know it's kind of crazy, but it's true. It's just so encouraging to me because it's not just like this fun story we're watching. It's very much very real. Yeah, I just, I would love to talk about that story. So to give like a brief kind of
overview recap of the story of David, I would encourage you guys to go into 1 Samuel and read about it. So at this time, there was a king who was reigning over Israel and his name was Saul. And he was so favored by God. God loved Saul so much. He's very obedient to the Lord, feared the Lord. But then there was a time in his reign where, and you can read all of this in 1 Samuel, where he...
was getting very power hungry and almost making himself his own God. He was taking all the glory to himself and he basically was kind of turning his back on God. Like he wasn't giving God the glory. He wasn't going to the Lord. I think all of these temptations, I think honestly that's,
a very real thing is getting to a place of leadership or even power where a lot of people are looking at you and it might even be tempting to kind of accept any type of glory or praise that comes to you from others. It's tempting to let that kind of get to your head. And I believe that's what happened to Saul. And so Saul kind
kind of got prideful. He got really prideful. He was growing an ego. He was no longer humble, you know, the feet of God. And the Lord saw this. And Samuel, who was the first prophet or seer, I guess they would say as well, he was the son and the product that
came from Hannah, and we've talked about her before on this podcast, where she was married to a man, he had another wife, that other wife was able to bear children, Hannah was not, and she was desperately pleading to the Lord and being like, I want to be a mother so much, God. If you give me a son, I will literally, like his life will be all about you. And that ended up being Samuel, dedicated his whole life to God,
ended up being a crazy prophet of that time, like would literally hear directly from God and tell people. And so Samuel had gone to Saul and basically warned him and was like, if you do not turn back to God, like you are prideful, you have made yourself your own God, you have turned your back from the Lord. Like if you continue this, the Lord will take you out of this position of being king of Israel and he will put somebody else on that throne. And so Saul didn't listen and he
he ended up continuing to act in those ways and be prideful and act as if he was his own king and his own God and to all these other people as well. Another thing that happened to Saul was he ended up, there were all of these demons that like entered him and started torturing him. So that was kind of a sound part of his story too, is that because he refused to
obey the Lord, he was demonically oppressed. He was kind of like losing his sanity as well because of that. And so at that same time, there was this little shepherd boy who was a son of eight total, but he had seven brothers.
as well. So they were all boys. All of his brothers were very much like strong men, great fighters. They were called to battle and all these things. And David was kind of giving like the underdog of the family. He was just this little shepherd boy where he was in charge of
you know, shepherding and helping out with the livestock there and protecting the livestock against lions and bears and stuff. So he was so special, especially to the Lord. And God also saw his faith. David had a lot of faith and fear of God. Like he loved God so much and the Lord saw that. So God had spoken to Samuel and said, I'm going to have you anoint a new man who will rise up to be the new,
new king of Israel. So this will be the second king of Israel and Saul will no longer reign. And so Samuel said, okay, God. And he went to this family. I believe that he felt led by the Lord to do that. And he's looking over all these boys and he's like, no, no, no, no. And it's confusing because I think even to their father, he was like, what do you mean? Like these men are so, they're all so equipped. You'd think that at least one of them, but not. Then he gets to
David. And it's so cool because even in the show, they show how Samuel is like, oh my God, like you, oh my gosh, you are going to be the next king of Israel. And it's so cool because that's just who God is. Like we see this in scripture, but God says that he doesn't care what's on the exterior. Like he doesn't look
And it's so funny because I feel like the way that the world sees things is from the outside, like that outer shell. And God sees into us, like he sees people's hearts. He sees what's inside of them. He sees what's truly living in them.
And that's what God saw. He didn't care that David maybe physically didn't look like the part of, you know, to be king. Like God saw what was in his heart and he knew that David was going to lead Israel well. And he knew that David was obsessed with God and would do anything for God, right? Which Saul,
was no longer doing. And so he needed that type of leader who also valued God's approval and fearing the Lord and listening to him as he would speak because Saul was ignoring God and completely rejected God and wasn't actively seeking the wisdom of the Lord. He was just all about himself.
And so he needed a humble, humble being. And that's who David was. And so Samuel gets to David and he's like, oh my gosh, you are king. This is just so cool because not only does it show how true it is that God sees what's in our hearts, like he sees what's inside of us. He doesn't see the exterior.
He doesn't see the obstacles. He doesn't see, oh, well, they technically can't do it because they're not equipped in this way. Like he really loves to use what the world says can't be used. He loves to use the very things that everyone else says there's just no way. There is no way that a
boy like that could grow up one day to be the king of Israel and lead everybody. Like there's no way. But God said, oh, there is a way. And it's through me. The other thing about David is he was very musically gifted. He loved to sing and play his little harp. I don't think it was a harp. I don't know. But he'd play his little instrument and he would sing. And a lot of his job also, aside from shepherding, was he would
perform and play music for Saul, the king that was currently in reign. He would do this especially because Saul was under that oppression, that demonic oppression. So he was kind of like losing his mind and I'm sure there were thoughts and things that were going through his head. He was probably hallucinating, like he was literally demonically oppressed and being tortured by these demons because he decided to turn his back from God. And so
David would play songs to help soothe him and like relax him. And so that was another part of his job is he would just sing and he'd be like the entertainment for the king. And then also like, I don't know if they would have any type of banquets or like gatherings and stuff, but he would also play music. So now we fast forward to the Philistines and the Israelites. So basically the Philistines were coming for the Israelites and all of their territory and wanted to take over and basically make them slaves to the Philistines.
And so there was the standoff that was happening between the Philistines and the Israelites. And so Saul, king of Israel, and all of their leaders and their army and everything were standing there ready to battle the Philistines. But the one advantage that the Philistines did have was they had a giant named Goliath. This giant stood, I think, nine feet tall. Goliath was about nine feet tall.

Okay, so then you think about this and you're like, where the heck does a giant just come from? So also the story of these giants that used to walk the earth, y'all, I know, bear with me. It's biblical. It's in the Bible. This is real. Goliath's birth and origins are not explicitly detailed. He was a descendant of...
of the Nephilim, which was a race of giants that existed at that time. And Nephilim's origins, y'all, and this is in the Bible, it's mentioned in Genesis 6-4, is that they were offspring of, quote, sons of God, often interpreted as fallen angels or demons, who had relations with human women. So when God cast it out, I know,
I know, I know. Isn't this crazy? Like this is whack. There's so much sin. It's so much twistedness. Like I'm sure God was like, oh my gosh, like this is really... These unions resulted in a breed of giant, powerful and violent beings. But Nephilims were known for their strength and statue. These fallen angels were casted out of heaven. Demons, fallen angels are demons. They then had relation with human women.
And impregnated them. And so then they had these babies, which weren't really supposed to happen at all. Actually, they ended up being these crazy giants. And because they were conceived from literal demonic origins, they were violent and scary and dangerous.
Yeah, they had noticed that the women were beautiful and they decided to choose them as their own wives.
This union led to the birth of children to them, the Nephilim. They were also described as giants or fallen ones, indicating their large size and potentially a connection to the fall of angels. The Nephilim's existence is often seen as a symbol of the corruption and wickedness that prevailed in the world before the Flood.
In conclusion, the Nephilim are a complex and debated topic within biblical interpretation. While the most common view is that they were the offspring of fallen angels or demons, other interpretations suggest different origins and significance. Regardless of the specific interpretation, the Nephilim are a reoccurring figure in Genesis as a symbol of the corruption and wickedness that led to the flood.
So that's how Goliath became. That's where he came from. So that was an advantage that the Philistines had, was they had this giant on their side and he was huge. He was also completely armored in bronze armor and all this big fancy stuff. He had a huge spear. I think that they said that just the head of the spear was 15 pounds. So imagine that thing coming at you. It's deadly. You will die. You will die. He will crush you. And so the Israelites...
were hesitant and their army was so much bigger than theirs as well. It was like three times the size of Israel's army was the Philistines. So that also looked really intimidating to the Israelites and nobody was willing to step forward to essentially start this battle to like, like officially be like, all right, we're doing this. And also to step up and stand up against Goliath.
the giant that was standing in front of them, right? And so David had heard about the battle that was happening and his dad had sent everyone else, all the other brothers, all the seven other brothers, except for David. And David ended up hearing about what was happening. Fast forward, he ended up going down to the battlefields and he,
he insisted on fighting this giant. And what was cool about David is he had so much faith in that moment. It's funny because all of these people, because Israel, they believed in the one true living God, right? Israel was God's people, you know, like God's
the living God that we're talking about today. The Philistines, not so much. They worshiped all sorts of other gods. So they did not have the Lord on their side, but the Israelites did. And so what David was so like baffled about was he was like, um, have we all forgotten? Like,
I'm sorry, have we forgotten who's actually on our side? Because everyone was like, but David, look at the giant that they have. Look at all the army that they have. Look at all the people. We won't stand a chance. We will die. David, with all the faith that he had, was like, you guys are forgetting that David
It doesn't matter how big their giant is. Like our God is bigger and he's on our side. And so as long as we have faith that the Lord is going to fight for us and he's going to provide, like, yes, there will have to be a miracle, but God is capable of that. He's bigger than all of this. He's bigger than the circumstances. Like we have God, you guys. So yeah, it was just really cool to see that David was like, have we literally forgotten y'all? So anyway, David was like, I'm going to do it.
and everyone was like, no, no, no, David, don't do it. Like, you're not capable. Like, basically telling him, like, you're not gonna be able to fight this giant. Like, I know that you think you can. Really love how bold you're being, bro, but like, you're gonna die. And he talks to Saul, the king, and explains to him, like, I will literally fight Goliath.
I will take him out. I believe that the Lord is going to help me. This just needs to be done. And if no one's going to do it, I'm going to do it. Like he was stepping up and being like, I'll do it. If no one else will do it, because I believe 40 days had gone by of them doing this standoff with no movement. No one was brave enough to just stand up. Also, it's like David was looking at all these soldiers and all of these people who clearly like from the outside, they're equipped, they could fight. But he's like, what? You guys, you
You can literally do this. But they didn't have enough faith. They didn't have enough faith. They were so fearful. And I believe that they also could have been afraid of failing, literally dying, you know? And so those things were bigger and louder in their minds than just choosing to have faith and believing that God can do the impossible. He can literally perform miracles through us, you know, as long as we step out in radical faith. And so David goes to Saul and he says, I'm going to do it.
Saul says, okay, well, you're going to have to wear all this armor though. Like we got to prepare you. Puts all this bronze armor on him to protect him. And he's like, this is restricting me. Like I literally can't fight Goliath like this. I'm not used to wearing stuff like this. What's so cool about the story of David, y'all, is he really wasn't trained or equipped at
all to do this, which is what gives God so much more glory. So if there's any time in your life where you're like, I feel like God wants me to step up and be faithful in this thing and be brave, but I literally don't have anything that has equipped me or trained me in this. It's nothing God hasn't already done because he literally did that with this little shepherd boy named David. He had no experience fighting giants or fighting in general. Okay.
He's never gone into battle before. And so from the outside, what makes sense to everyone else is they're like, obviously you need to put on all of this armor. But he's like, it's literally restricting me. I can't wear it. He refuses to wear his armor. This is all in the Bible. This is all in the book of Samuel. You guys got to read it. And so he says, I can't like I won't be able to fight him this way. So he takes it off. He wears no armor.
armor going out here, okay, to fight Goliath. So he goes out to Goliath and in one swing, he has like, it's kind of like a slingshot. In one swing with a stone, a rock, he slings it at Goliath and it hits him right where it's supposed to hit him. Honestly, by the grace of God, it was the Lord. The Lord was with David and God will reward us for our crazy radical faith and obedience, guys. Like this is the God that we serve and we forget that.
This is the very God that we serve. And he will show up for us just as he did for David. And he defeated Goliath. It killed him. And then he chopped off his head and held it up. So then he does that. And then everyone from Israel is like freaking out. They start charging and they win and they are not enslaved to the Philistines. And if it wasn't for David acting out in such, he looked
Let this speak to someone's spirit. He looked crazy. A lot of people told him that he couldn't do it, that he wasn't equipped. A lot of people told him that there was no way he was going to survive. And what David did is he said, well, who do you say I am, God? Because also at this point, he knew that the Lord had anointed him. He wasn't king yet, but he knew who God had called him to be and said he was going to be. And so if you know
No, because God's told you. If you know who God has called you to be, that's what you got to hang on to. That's what we all have to hang on to, y'all. Before I get too ahead of myself, we have to only listen to the voice of God because there are things that the Lord is going to call us to do that are crazy. There are things that God is going to call us to do that are really big and intimidating and scary, like Goliath. There are things that God is going to call us to do that maybe other people have failed at.
Like there could have been people who would have tried to defeat Goliath, but because they weren't consoling with the Lord. Like I really believe that the only reason David was also successful was because he was literally like, okay, God, what do you want? How do you want me to do this? You know, I believe that every move he did was like,
because he had asked God. And I'm sure that even in that moment, he was talking with the Lord and he was, and God was like, okay, throw it now, like now, you know? And so because of how in tune he was with the Lord, he was able to win. Like he was able to defeat Goliath.
And so if there is a Goliath in your life, this is a very real story, but also it's so cool how very real stories from the Bible can also act as symbolic stories for our lives now. And just because we don't have nine foot giants running around and it might not be
like that anymore doesn't mean that the Lord can't still use those things to speak to our own lives. And so if there is something really big and intimidating and scary in your life that you feel like you have to face or you feel that the Lord is calling you to face, you have to know that the Lord is going to show up for you. And there's going to be a lot of people
that tell you that you're crazy for it. And there is a comfort zone for you to stay in. There always is a comfort zone for us to stay in instead of doing the scary thing that God is calling us to do. And that's when God gives us free will because we have the choice.
to either go for the very scary thing that he's calling us into, knowing that he is right there with us, like he will provide everything that we need, okay? He doesn't call us into scary things to do it alone. David was not alone, ever. One second of that was he alone. God was with him every freaking second, every step of the way God was with him. And so God doesn't just call us into scary things to say, and I'll be over here,
You got it, kid. Yeah, yeah, no, no. I've taught you everything you need. No, he physically, not only does he teach us everything that we need for these moments, but then he walks with us hand in hand next to us side by side. That is our God. And so he calls us into scary things for more reasons than one, but also to walk through that with us.
Like God walks through those fires with us and he walks through those really scary moments where we're so anxious and we're so nervous and it's so out of our comfort zone. And we're like, God, I do not, I like, I would rather do anything else but this. Isn't it funny? Y'all, I don't know if you feel this way, but sometimes God has us walk through the very thing, like the last thing we ever wanted to walk through. Like, I don't ever want to face this God. Isn't there any
anything else, like anything else. I would do anything else except for this one very thing. And sometimes I feel like God is like, that's why I want you to walk through it because you are so willing to do everything else except for this. And I don't want you to be scared of anything. I don't want you to be afraid of anything. I don't want there to even be anything on your radar where you're like, I would do this, this, this, this, this, this, but I can't do that. He doesn't want us to have any fears because he is the very thing that makes us strong. He is the very thing that it's his whole
Holy Spirit that fills us with boldness. Like it was literally the spirit of God that gave David that boldness. It was his faith that we only can get from God. And so as long as we are in Christ, we have no reason to be hesitant or scared of anything. Like God says that in scripture over and over again too. He says, fear not, like do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be afraid for I am your
God, like I am walking before you. I am walking with you. Not only is he walking with us side by side, y'all, but he is also, because he's omnipresent, he's everywhere all at once, every angle of us, everywhere. He's in front of us too. And behind us, he's beside us. He's below us. He's above us. He is in front of us, like paving the path. So there's nothing that we're ever going to do by ourselves. There's nothing that we actually ever have to figure out by ourselves.
Like David didn't have to figure out how to fight Goliath all by himself. He said, okay, God, how do you want me to do this? And God said, I'm gonna need you to just sling a stone. You're gonna wait for me. I'm gonna tell you exactly when you're gonna throw it and he's gonna die and you're gonna defeat him. And then all of Israel will be freed. And then you're also gonna rise up and eventually become king. Like that is just simple obedience. Like obedience can also be called and referred to as simple obedience, right?
like being obedient to God can also just be a simple obedience. But the very thing that makes it no longer simple, because it is simple, simple, it is simple. It's a simple yes and amen to God. It's a yes, God, I believe in you. I believe in your word. I believe that you say that you are with me at all times. And I believe that you have called me for such a time as this, for such a purpose as this. It's a yes, I believe and an amen.
which means let it be done. The thing that makes it no longer simple is when we allow other things in, like fear and doubt, unworthiness, questioning things, second-guessing it, second-guessing ourselves, second-guessing the very things that God has told us. Imagine if David was like, I know that God told me that I'm this simple,
And technically I'm not even there yet, which is crazy. He's like, God is telling me that I'm going to be king of Israel, but I'm literally a shepherd boy right now and a musician. Like I'm actually working for the king. There is a king. And so God has told me that, but like, I'm literally not there yet. And I can imagine how long that road looked to David at
that time. Ain't no way he's just going to be king tomorrow. Like there was still time before he was actually going to become king. So imagine if he doubted that. And I'm sure he could have, but he didn't. He stayed so strong on who God called him to be.
And so it can stay simple as long as we are rebuking those thoughts, those spirits, those temptations of fear and unworthiness and believing that we can't do it. We need to literally come out of agreement with those lies, y'all, and come into agreement with the truth of what you know God has told you or come into the truth of his word. What does the Bible say about you?
What does God say about you through his word? And what does God say about himself and his character above all else? What does God say about his character for his children, which is you? Who does God say he is? That's what we need to believe in. The story of David is so inspiring. And I will say just...
Transparently, there is something that I am about to face in my life. And I say this because it's like none of us are excused to this type of opportunity to be courageous and bold for the Lord. I think we all have opportunities to do that in our lives, no matter how different our lives look.
But there's a thing in my life right now that I am facing that I could either choose to be bold and look crazy in with the Lord or be comfortable, sit back and believe when people, because I believe that people are going to tell me that I am crazy for this.
I believe that people are going to tell me that I'm too ambitious for this. I'm too zealous for this. You know, like, girl, we love how much faith you have, but like, this is really unrealistic. Like you cannot face this giant. It's way too big. And also I see people being like, don't you think we've tried? Like, I just see even people in the church, not in a, like, I'm not speaking ill or anything, but I just see, I feel,
feel that people are going to be like, don't you think we've tried to fight that giant? Like, what do you think we've been trying to do all this time? Oh, you think you're just going to come around? It's so similar. It's literally like, okay, I'm sure people looked at David that way where they were like little shepherd boy. Okay. We know you're zealous and you have a lot of passion and faith for God. And that's great. No, keep that. That's good. But also it's too much. Like you're not even equipped in this. You can't fight in battles. You've never been trained in your life. Like you have all this zeal, but who do you think you are? Like, what do you think
We've been trying to do all this time. Like, I just feel like that could be a response for the very thing that I'm facing in my life. But and we can come into agreement together, y'all. Like, we can hold each other accountable right now, even if it's just virtually. You know, we're not all face to face, but I really believe that God, he has so much delight and he's so pleased with us deciding to be more like David.
and say, you know what? I'm going to do it regardless of what people think. They might think I'm crazy. And you know what? David actually had to lay down any of that fear. I'm sure he did of looking crazy. I think it's also a sense of pride. We've talked about pride on the podcast. We've talked about pride. It's any form of like looking at ourselves. And so we need to put that pride aside and be like, I don't care if I look
blank. It's not about me. It's about simply doing the very thing that God is calling me to do to give him more glory. Because the thing is, is God would never call us to do anything. We've said this too, but like if it wasn't for our good and for the good of other people. So if he's calling you to do something bold and scary, I know I'm talking to someone right now. I can feel it. I can
I can feel it. I'm talking to someone right now. This is the Lord. This is literally God. He wants to just seal this for you right now in Jesus' name. Like, you've had feelings. You've had inklings. You've even had other people prophesy. Oh, my gosh. There have been other people.
that have literally prophesied this over you and said, God is calling you to blank. God is calling you to do this. You were made to blank. You are supposed to do this. Like God has made it clear to you. That's the other thing that's so kind about God is he doesn't just tell us one time, like he will tell us over and over. But also there does have to be a point where it's like fear of God falls on us. And he says, are you going to do it? Because I'm not going to beg you to do this for the rest of your life. Like if you don't want to do this,
and you want to say no, you have the freedom to do that. But I'm asking you one more time, are you going to say yes? And you guys, I believe that this is the moment that God wants to use for you, where it's like no more. There is no more waiting for God to give you one more sign. There is no more, okay, well, I need one more person to approach me in church and confirm it one more time through a prophetic word. Like there is no more. Consider this your
prophetic word, actually consider this that very moment. It's already come. And if the Lord is using a girl named Allie through her podcast, this is how he's doing it. Okay. God wants you to just do it. He wants you to do it. And he wants you to do it with him. He wants you to invite him in every minute of it because he's not calling you to do it by yourself. You're not doing this alone, just as he loved David enough to not do that alone. And he loves you just as much.
not just he loved David, we're all his children and he wants to help us in all the battles, all the giants that we have to face. Like he wants to be our strength. And so there is nothing that you have to be afraid of because you literally have God on your side. And so I say right now, we all commit to saying yes to the very thing that we know God is calling us to do. Okay. I'm saying yes right now.
I'm saying yes in front of all of you. We are witnesses to each other. I am saying, God, use me. Y'all can like repeat after me, but we will just do it together right now. God, use me. Lord, I empty myself. I empty any pride or fear. And God, I also repent.
repent for allowing those spirits to run rampant in my mind and even delay me. God, who knows how you might have wanted me to do this a long time ago, but because of fear and doubt and feeling like I'm unworthy, that has been the very thing that has delayed me. And so, Lord, I pray for a boldness right now in Jesus' name, God, and I
I vouch to you, Lord, and I ask for you to give me the strength. Holy Spirit, I also ask for you to keep me accountable. And we are all committing in front of you, God, and in front of each other that we are going to do the very thing that scares us the most, God. And I thank you that there is some really beautiful fruit on the other end of that, that when we do the scary things, Lord, you have...
treasures stored for us, not only here on earth, but also in heaven for our obedience and for us listening to your voice over the voice of others and over the voice of fear. Lord, I also pray a boldness over the listener right now, God, and I ask that you fill them with faith and
courage and boldness, God. And I ask that you bring up a generation of soldiers and warriors right now, Lord. I thank you that you are already building us up. And God, I thank you that the gospel is being spread, Lord, and that you are bringing up powerful people in this generation to spread the good news of the gospel and to defeat evil, Lord, to defeat those giants that are in the world.
And so, God, I just ask for your favor to do the biggest, scariest things in our lives and let us feel so fulfilled at the end of our lives with you, Lord, that we get to look at you and say that we never told you no about any of the big, scary things that you told us to do. And there's no regret at the end of our life because we know we did everything you called us to do and we got to do it with you, God.
I thank you for the mercy and the grace that you've had on our lives that we also just get to do it with you. What a gift that is. And so I pray all of these things in your mighty name, Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen, y'all. It's time to be bold. It's time to be bold. And it's time to stop being a slave to the spirit of fear. That's what I feel the Lord wants you to know. And you are going to...
to walk with boldness now. I believe that after this, you're going to walk with your shoulders back and you're going to believe in the very person that God has created you to be. And you're going to believe in the very person that he says he is. Amen. And I also really encourage you guys to read the story of David. And also if you want to, the show is great too, but it would be powerful to also read it. I love you guys.
Thank you for joining me for another episode. I hope that it was encouraging. I hope it was edifying. I hope it was a little bit convicting, you know, because dad always loves to correct his children. He only corrects and disciplines the ones that he loves. So it's actually an honor to be corrected by the Lord because it means that he cares and he loves you a lot. So we invite conviction from the spirit, but also I hope that it was bountiful.
mostly encouraging. And yeah, I love y'all. I hope that you have such a great week and I will see you next time. Actually, wait, hold on. Can we do something cool really quick? Can we do something cool this week? Can we show somebody how cool Jesus is? Can we walk more like him, talk more like him? Let's be bold as Jesus was bold and is bold. His spirit is still very bold. Let's do more of that this week. I love you guys. I will see you next time.
