Hello, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Christ with Coffee on Ice. I am your host, Allie Yost. Happy Friday, everyone. We have our coffee on ice. We have our little tumbler. I did a good job with my coffee today. I did a good job. Also, don't I look so cool today? I know. I know.

I know. I look really freaking cool. I look like I just stepped out of 2003. I'm just really living for this outfit. Okay, hey, and listen, it's giving the most. If you're physically watching, I know, the glasses. I know. But, you know, I asked Jesus. I said, hey, Jesus, I need your opinion, man. I love you. Are the glasses too much? Like, should I tone it down a little bit? And he was like, honestly, I'd wear them. And I was like, okay.

Okay, cool. I'm gonna wear them. So anyway, that's the story on how I decided to wear these glasses today is I talked to my bestie about it and he said I should wear them. Secondly, y'all, I am literally so filled with the joy of Abba. I am so filled with the joy of God. I'm so excited to be here with you guys. I'm obsessed with you. I love you. I'm so grateful for this community. I hope that you're having a really great week. And if you're not, I love you. And there is hope.

Sometimes hard weeks happen and that's okay. So there's grace for ourselves if maybe this week has been hard, but I hope that today can be a really good day. And I also have no idea what we're gonna talk about today. I do have one particular thing weighing on my heart and this was something I woke up with this morning was this feeling. And granted, I don't know if this is what we're gonna talk to for the entirety of this episode. This episode might be kind of chaotic. I don't know where we're gonna go.

Wherever the spirit leads us, which sometimes can give like, we're over here, and I'm over here, and I'm up here. Okay. The thing that's been weighing on my heart is there is this situation floating around TikTok, specifically Christian TikTok.

And I'm not going to get into the specifics because one, I don't want to draw attention to this individual where any more hate is being spewed at them. But there is a situation that has happened on the internet and the Christians are mad. Rightfully so. I think that a righteous anger is appropriate for this situation. But I've seen a side of Christian TikTok where now people are canceling this person, telling them,

the world that we should cancel this person. We should unfollow them, that they should lose everything, that they don't deserve their platform anymore. And granted, like everyone, everyone is allowed to have their own opinions. If you don't want to support that person anymore, then obviously you have the right to make that decision. And I'm not bringing any of this up to gossip. We are not gossiping in Jesus name. I'm just saying that there's a situation that has happened that has stirred

up in anger in the church right now. And something that has disheartened me is seeing the way that Christians have been canceling this individual. What they said was not okay. And I do understand that

why people are upset. To be honest, when I heard about what was going on and I looked at the Lord about it and I was like, God, how do you feel about it? I didn't feel that the Lord was offended at all, which I know is like a crazy statement to say, but I didn't feel that he was offended. I actually felt compassion and I felt that God had sympathy for this individual. I don't know. I just, I'm

think what I felt was the love of God for this person. I didn't even feel that God like had this crazy wrath with fire in his eyes about it. I actually think that he looked at this person almost like they were a child and he, I just felt God's love for that person. And I was like, dang, okay. I feel like this is how we're supposed to be approaching this situation as the church. Like if that's what God is doing, I feel like that's what we need to be extending to

to anyone who disrespects Jesus, says blasphemous things, is hateful towards the church. Like this is so crazy because I feel like it ties back to the episode that we just did where we titled it, what was it? What if we don't agree? Like people who challenged the church come against it could potentially even say blasphemous things. We were talking in the sense of like politics. I was using that as an example in that episode, but I feel like this is all the same. Like God has called us to love our enemies. And so I feel like

Something that I felt weighing on my heart was that we cannot, as Christians, I need everyone to hear me when I say this, okay? Because this is literally from God. We cannot, we cannot,

We cannot entertain cancel culture. We cannot allow that into our church. We cannot allow that into the body of Christ and we cannot let it into our lifestyles. If we are followers of Christ and that's what we identify ourselves in, we need to walk like Jesus and cancel culture is not the nature of Jesus. And so if it's not the nature of Jesus and it's not something he would do or has done, we will not do it.

Whatever the nature of Jesus is, we need to be reflecting that. And so if it's not in his nature to do, it's not in our nature to do. And what's crazy is like Jesus died. Jesus died for the blasphemous. He died for the people that would potentially spit on his name, disrespect him, never accept him as Lord and savior of their life. Like he knew that when he got up on that cross, he knew that potentially there would be people who would

never accept him as their Lord and Savior. People who would actually probably disrespect his name, use it in vain, make a mockery of him. Like people did that to his face when he was on the cross. And so that was something that Jesus was fully aware of facing and knew he was going to do when he got on the cross. He knew that he was also dying for those people.

And so I think we need to humble ourselves. Like this takes a lot of humility, church. This takes a lot of humility, but we need to humble ourselves and look in the mirror and say, am I any better?

Oh, well, the argument could be, well, Allie, I could never say anything like that about Jesus. But a sin is a sin is a sin is a sin. And it takes me back to that scripture of the woman who was caught in adultery, I think it was. And everyone was like telling Jesus, we need to stone her. Like, how could she commit such a sin? Right. And Jesus was like, hmm.

So here's the thing. Yes, she sinned. But unless all of you are clean and sinless, then you can go ahead and cast the first stone. And everyone standing around knew that they couldn't. The only person that probably could have actually was Jesus because he was a perfect man, because he was both God and man. He did not sin. He did not make a single mistake in his life. Okay. He was clean. He was holy. He is clean. He's holy. So

If anyone in that group had the right to stone her, it would be Jesus, but he didn't. He loved her. He loved her in her sin and her filthiness and her filthy,

filthiest version of herself, God extended love and didn't condemn her, but condemned the rest of the people. Or at least he called them out and said, I'm sorry, when were you perfect enough to point fingers and say that she deserves to be stoned and you don't? Like if that's the standard y'all, we might as well have never had Jesus die for any of us.

That just is the truth. That if that were the case, where Jesus should have only died for like the people who would never be blasphemous. Like if we're saying, no, but Jesus, you only died for these people and not these people. There's no way. The way that that is so self-righteous and prideful to think in that mindset, y'all, we got to humble ourselves and say, if that's the case, then Jesus shouldn't have died for any of us.

If that's the case, Jesus shouldn't have died for any of us because I know that every single person who is pointing fingers at everyone else has absolutely sinned in their life. They have gossiped. They have thought awful things. They've said awful things. They've probably even used the Lord's name in vain. You can't say that you haven't. I have.

They've acted out in anger. They've sinned in their anger. They've backstabbed people. They've cheated. They've lied. We literally are all Barabbas, okay? We all are Barabbas. And there is no level of like, oh, well, this sin is worse than this sin. But this is inexcusable. You sound

like a Pharisee. You sound like the religious people that Jesus also died for. If we're going to believe in the gospel and we're going to believe in the mercy of God, we're also going to believe that he died for every single person. Not just the clean people who are now saved, the people who are unsaved, the people who are

The people who literally cursed his name, he died for them too. And so I don't say that to lecture anyone. I'm not saying, I'm literally admitting that I am imperfect. All I'm saying y'all is that we need to check our hearts before we judge others.

We do. And here are a couple disclaimers I will say, okay? Because I'm not saying that we're supposed to just sit around and let people walk all over us as Christians, okay? We are allowed to have a righteous anger. We are allowed to feel upset when people insult and mock

mock our Jesus. We're allowed to be upset by that, but what we're not allowed to do is sin in our anger. What I've seen in some comment sections is people argue that we're allowed to call people out and we're allowed to speak the truth. And granted, I do think that that has to be done with a certain amount of discernment from the Lord. We should be

Be like, hey, this is really disrespectful to my literal beliefs. This is actually extremely disheartening knowing that Jesus is actually the most important person in my life and you are talking about him this way. I think that it's okay to say, hey, that's not okay. You don't have to believe in what I believe in. If you don't want to accept Jesus, you have the free will to do that. That's okay. But

please, I think again, it comes down to like what we said in our previous episode of what if we don't agree, agreeing to disagree while still respecting and loving one another. And so it is okay to say, hey, that is extremely hurtful. That is extremely hurtful and disrespectful.

But what's not okay is spewing hate, repaying evil for evil back to that person and then canceling them. Because one thing, I saw someone comment this actually, because I did post about this on my socials this morning. I like couldn't, the spirit was just out of me.

And as I was doing my hair, I was like, I got to record this. I said this in a much shorter version, but I was like, hey, if it's not the nature of Jesus, it shouldn't be the nature of the church. We can't be doing things that are worldly, like cancel culture. It's worldly. Someone had mentioned that it's really hard for somebody to come to repentance and

Like if that were to happen for this individual, by us canceling them and saying, sorry, you're never allowed back here ever again. You're literally dead to us. You deserve to go to hell. You deserve to burn. Like you have no mercy, no grace. There's no coming back from this. You could never come back from saying something like this or doing things like that. Like,

lack of grace and forgiveness, that honestly feels like such a tactic of the enemy. Like as Christians, if we're engaging in that type of behavior, you might as well go shake hands with the devil because there is nothing more solidifying for an individual to not

never turn to Christianity ever again. Like if you're treating a person like that, odds are they probably will never wanna come to Christ. They will never repent and they will never come to salvation if that's how we're treating people. It goes back to what Jesus said on the cross where he said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they're doing."

He said that as his bones were exposed and he was bleeding out to death for six hours. If Jesus had enough grace to say that while he's being physically tortured and whipped to death on a cross,

I think that we have enough grace and compassion to extend to these people as they say blasphemous things or maybe insult our God. We do. There just is no excuse to not extend that grace. And I know this episode got a lot more serious than it was when I started. The joy of the Lord. This is going to be the best episode ever. This is a good episode, okay? This is going to be a little convicting. I feel the fear of God.

Okay, that this is not something to take lightly. Matthew 6, 14 through 15. You know, this is a promise from our heavenly father. And so fear of the Lord doesn't fall on you after this. I don't know. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.

Matthew 18, 35 also reads, this is how my heavenly father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.

Yeah. So God said that. He said, hey, you have the free will to not forgive, but I hope you know that whatever you give, let you also receive. So if you are extending forgiveness and mercy and grace for others, then Abba will have that on you. But if you don't, then you better expect that the Lord will hold you at that same standard.

And honestly, that's just giving good parenting from our heavenly father. It really is. If you think about it, if you had children and one was treating one poorly and then the other one slaps that one in the face, who are you high-fiving? Probably neither. You're gonna say, "I'm sorry, I don't accept any of this. Like I don't condone any of this. I don't care what your brother said to you. You don't have the right to then slap him in the face. Both of you are going into timeout. And if you don't forgive him, you can stay in that corner over there."

I just feel like that's good parenting. I don't think that's God being harsh or unfair. I actually think that's him being very fair. When we are quick to condemn others, it's like God just puts a mirror in front of us and he says, okay, are you going to do that? Boom.

mirror and he says before you do that I want you to know that you are no better yourself and so if you're not willing to extend forgiveness to your brothers and sisters then you don't deserve it there is a saying that the world has that is very similar to this where there's something along the lines that's said in the world that's whatever you put out into the universe whatever you put out into the world you also receive yeah I feel like God kind of invented that I mean he did he

He said, all right, if you're going to treat others that way, don't be surprised if I hold you to that same standard. Hey y'all, so I don't know who was going to tell me this, but did you guys know that we were actually supposed to have five servings of fruits and vegetables a day? Why did I not know that at my grown age? But yeah, I didn't know. So I'm definitely not having...

that many servings of fruits and vegetables today, especially with my busy schedule that literally never looks the same every day. I think another way to think about this is whatever standard you would want God to hold you at, you should hold other people at. If you want forgiveness and compassion and understanding from the Lord, even when you mess up, even when you say stupid things or do stupid things, when you are imperfect, if something you would desire from God is forgiveness,

and understanding, then you better be prepared to treat other people that same way because there is no, well, I deserve this and they don't. I'm better than them. Well, they don't even believe in God. They're saying all these blasphemous things. I deserve it. They don't. No. Jesus died for everyone. Everyone. Every living and breathing human being on this earth is someone Jesus thought of,

on the cross, literally thought of them and said, yeah, I'm going to die for them. And you know what? They may never accept me, but I'm going to die for them anyway. We just got to learn from Jesus, y'all. And if we're literally going to have Christ in our identification as Christian, we got to walk like Christ. We got to be like Christ. And what did Christ do? He laid down his life

for people who loved him, but also people who hated him. Something I do want to acknowledge, okay? We're going to bring it down for a second. I do want to acknowledge that a lot of people could be listening right now and say, okay, that is so hard to do though. Like, I hear you, Allie. I get it. And you know what? There aren't any arguments to that. Like, I know that that is what God has said in the Bible. And I know that that's how Jesus walked. But Allie, I'm just not Jesus. Like, I'm just not. I'm not perfect like him. I can't do it. Like, I'm

I've tried to forgive people, but for some reason I still have bitterness in my heart. Like I see things about how people just...

speak so ill of Jesus or potentially even you, your family, like whatever that looks like, whatever that disrespect could look like, you're sitting here and you're going, I can't, like it's so hard. I don't know how to forgive such evil people. I don't know how to forgive such evil acts. I just want to validate that. I really do. I want to validate your feelings in that because that's real and it is hard. It

It is hard because especially when you know the truth and you know how loving Jesus is and you know the spirit of God and you've seen the impact that he's had in your life or even other people in your life and you see the way that people talk about him in such a light that is just

It's not true. It's just not true. It is so frustrating. Like I genuinely relate to that. I do because I love Jesus with all of my heart. I would physically die for him. I love him so much that it does pain me to hear the way that people can mock him. You know, even if it's in music or whatever else, like it literally hurts. It pierces my heart. Like it actually hurts my heart. So I understand. I understand. And

And my answer to you would be, I get it. But that's when you really need to lean on God. Anytime that we are lacking strength in anything, we need to lean on God. And we need to be honest with God and say, hey, God, I'm having a hard time extending forgiveness to these kinds of people. Let it out to God, even if it sounds so ugly, even if you're like, God, this is so ugly, but I physically am so angry at these people. I don't want to forgive them. And honestly, God, they don't even deserve your forgiveness. Like whatever it is,

it is that's going through your mind in that moment, whether it's true or not, it's your flesh, it's your feelings, whatever, just get it out. Say it to the Lord and say, God, this is probably wrong, but I'm just going to get it out. I don't think this person deserves forgiveness. I don't want to forgive them. I'm angry. You know, being honest with him about that, I think is like the most important step. The next thing that you need to do is ask God for that thing that you're

I need more God. And I can't get it from within myself, actually. The only way I will be able to extend compassion to this person is through your heart. I need you to pour it into me so that it can overflow out of me. Anytime that we can pour into anyone, it's typically because God first poured it into us, you know, and it's an

A lot of times that's the only reason I'm able to do this podcast is because I'm like, God, I need you to fill me with the wisdom. I need you to fill me with whatever it is that I need to pour out on your people right now because it can't come from me.

It just can't come from me. If you are lacking the strength to have forgiveness for people, you need to ask God for that. And if it's something that you need to continue to ask him for, that is okay. There is no shame with needing to go back to the Lord about the same thing over and over again because that's what he's for. That's actually one of the reasons that his spirit has been left for us to partner with in these things.

There is a good chance that in our lives, we are going to have to keep going back to the spirit for the same thing. It may be for the same person. It may be for different people in different situations, but we will always need the spirit to provide whatever it is that we need to extend to others if we physically can't.

And God is actually happy to do that. That's why it says in scripture that we're supposed to rejoice in our weaknesses because that's when the Lord gets to be strong for us. That's when we actually have to be dependent on the Lord is because we don't have enough of something. And so when we don't have enough of something,

What do we do? We turn to the Lord and we say, God, I need this. I can't do it. I need more forgiveness. Please, God, pour out your forgiveness on me so that I can pour it out on other people. And I feel like we've talked about this topic a couple times on the podcast before, like just forgiveness. I know that we've talked about it before.

And I've probably said something along the lines of this already. I'm going to say it again, that there is grace if it takes time. There is grace. I think sometimes it takes a lot of humility to be like, it didn't take a day for me to forgive this person. It didn't take a week. It didn't take a month. It took three months, whatever.

It took a year. I don't know. Okay. Hopefully it doesn't take you a year to forgive somebody because you deserve freedom. I believe that unforgiveness is genuinely chains and bondage. It's just, it's not giving freedom. So you deserve quick freedom from any type of bitterness or unforgiveness towards a person. But if it

does take time, I don't think that there should be any shame in that. That could be something that you need to walk through with the Lord for a little while and maybe longer than you'd like to admit. And I can say that because I speak from experience. There have been times where it's taken me a lot longer to forgive somebody than I'd like to admit. And that's just the truth. But I got there and I continued to show up to the Lord and say, hey, God, I need your help with this. I need your help with this, God. I need you to provide blank time.

for me right now because I can't, I'm trying and I can't. I think the other thing that's very important in this, instead of spewing hate back onto this person, instead of canceling them, instead of basically saying that they should die, like no, just you're dead. You're dead to me, you're dead to the world, you deserve nothing. Instead of saying that, we need to be genuinely praying for this person. And I don't mean like, I'm praying for you. I mean like, we're gonna pray for this person.

We're going to pray that they find Jesus and they realize the truth because the truth of the matter is that if somebody could talk about the Lord like this, they are heavily deceived by the enemy. They are heavily deceived by the enemy if this is what they believe Jesus is. And also, we don't know why this person would speak this way. We don't know what they've actually been through. We don't know if it could be from church hurt. We don't know if it's been through trauma. There might be traumatic events or things or experiences that are now at

to the name Jesus. And so because of that, they don't want anything to do with him. Like we just...

need to have compassion for people. Like that feels like the word of the year so far. And it's like all we've talked about on this podcast, but for real, for real, we need to step out of our own understanding and step into the shoes of the individual and say, what has made you this way? What has caused you to go in this direction so far over here that now you don't want anything to do with Jesus and you're talking about what has made

made you react that way to Jesus because there has to be a reason, y'all. People don't just pop out of their mama's wombs cussing the name of Jesus like this, okay? There's got to be a reason. And so having compassion for that

If you've been so burned by Christians and people who are supposed to walk with love and grace and kindness, and they walk in a way where they're like, I love Jesus. And then they treat somebody poorly, potentially even traumatizing them. Don't you think that there could be trauma attached to the name of Jesus for them? And now they want nothing to do with him.

That is a possibility. And it's something we need to at least consider before jumping to conclusions and judging an individual. And again, I'm not saying that it's okay. I don't think anyone is saying that it's okay. But what I know God is like against, against, against is everything.

canceling people. Jesus was not opposed to setting boundaries. He was not opposed to calling people out, not in a way that was hateful or cussing them out or spewing them out. He never did that, but he was firm in the truth. He was totally okay with calling people out on their sin and their hypocrisy. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. But he didn't cancel them. He

said, you know what, Jesus? You're right. I want to follow you. And I repent. I'm sorry. Jesus would have accepted them and loved them. Jesus would not have looked at them and said, sorry, you're canceled. Sorry, you went too far. Sorry, you said too much. Sorry, you literally spit on me. Nope. That's just not the heart of our God. And if it's hard to wrap your mind around, I understand. But I think that that's just...

God is very hard for us to wrap our minds completely around. There are parts of God that I understand now that I've never understood before. There are parts of his heart that I am like, wow, it makes sense. Like it's clicking for me. But there's only so much that we can understand about God. And I believe there's a cap off because we're like this big.

We're like this big. And I believe that even until we are old people in rocking chairs, and I'm sure we've learned so much more about God, I still think even at that point, we've only understood like the very tip of the iceberg of God's love. I don't think we will ever understand how God is God.

how he can even love the way he loves, we will never be able to understand it. And that's also when humility can come into the room. That's when we can humble ourselves and say, okay, you know what? I don't really get it, but I'm just going to do what God tells me to do. And I am going to have compassion for this person and I'm going to forgive them wholeheartedly, genuinely, not a fake forgiveness. Like I literally empty myself to you, God. And I admit that I am a flawed human and I have no right to

to judge anyone else. I have no right to judge anyone, especially people in the world.

We are supposed to call each other higher, especially in the church. Yes, we are. We're not supposed to condemn one another, but we are supposed to uplift one another, call each other higher and love each other that way. We are, but we are not supposed to judge others. And we can't hold people in the world to the standard of the church because they don't have the spirit of God in them.

They don't have the spirit of God in them. So yes, we can point out what are disrespectful things to say and we can point out the things that are wrong, but we can't hold people to the standard of the church if they are not actively in it. They just don't have the spirit of God in them. That's like if we were holding someone at the standard of like speaking a certain language when they only speak this language. Like they haven't learned the language of God.

They haven't learned the language of the church. They haven't experienced, they don't know. I'm gonna say it again, but like, I'm not saying that it's okay, but you see the difference, right? And here's the thing. I really believe that the Lord put this on my heart today to share this because he wants us, he loves us so much that he wants us to just walk better. He does. And if you've already been practicing this, God bless you.

If you have already been extending love to the people who are so cruel, if you have been extending forgiveness to the people who are so cruel in your life, can I please give you a round of applause? Because I know the Lord is so proud of you. And I'm going to encourage you right now in Jesus' name that God is so proud of you. And I want you to know that even when those times were really hard to do, okay, it could literally be your father, it could be a family member. Like if somebody is mad,

mocking you in your life and the way that you love Jesus and you stand firm in your beliefs, one, and two, you stand firm in love, love from God. Oh, that does not go unnoticed by God. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh. Even when it feels like you're like, I don't even know, what is the point, God? I don't feel like I can't, this sucks.

You know, I'm here to tell you that God is so proud. Oh my gosh, he could cry about it because that is hard to do. It is hard to do. And God recognizes that. And he especially recognizes when we choose to do the right thing, even when it's really hard, especially when it's really hard. Honey, you are storing your treasures in heaven. You are like your treasures are in heaven.

Because God is so proud of you. And there is a reward for you for being faithful and forgiving. He's so proud. Oh my gosh, he's so proud of you. So keep doing that. Keep doing that. Even when it gets exhausting, I get it. Lean on him. He'll give you strength. But keep being different. Just keep being different. Because sometimes being different is hard. Like it's hard to be different for the kingdom of God. It's hard.

No one said it was easy, actually. God never said it was going to be easy to walk like Jesus. That's why we need him so much. Because it's hard. But you are strong and you have the spirit of God in you, which is the same spirit that rose Jesus Christ of Nazareth

from the grave, amen, and brought him back to life. That same spirit lives inside of you. And so if there is a lie that comes against you in your mind saying, I can't do this, I'm not strong enough, you better rebuke that in Jesus' name and run to the feet of your father because you do have strength through him. If you have access to the spirit of God, you have enough strength to do anything, anything. You can do all things through Christ.

What is that scripture? I'm literally going to quote it. Philippians 4.13, for I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.

for I can do everything. That scripture doesn't say I can do most things. The scripture doesn't say for I can do almost everything. For I can do some things, but not all things through Christ. No, for I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength. When you realize that you can do anything you want, you can do anything.

anything you want through Christ is the minute that the devil will tremble the minute you walk into any room. Can I say that? Can I say that? The minute that you realize that you can do anything and all things through Christ and Christ alone is the minute that the devil will start trembling the minute you walk into a room.

That's really what it comes down to, y'all, is as a church, we need to realize that we can do anything we want. We can do anything that God is calling us to do as long as we are doing it through Christ. We cannot fail as long as we are doing all things through Christ. There is none. The Bible says you can do all things. It didn't say you can do some things and then you'll fail at others. No, you can do all things through Christ who's overcome the world. He's overcome the world.

We need to believe in the power of Jesus and we need to believe in the word of God. We need to believe in the spirit, the power of the spirit that's dwelling inside of us. Y'all, we can do anything we want. We can cast out demons out of a person. We can forgive others. We can stand on that stage and do the very thing that God is calling us to do. We can walk into that cubicle and minister the love of Jesus to the most hardened, heartbroken

Hearted people. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Whatever you are doubting, whatever you think you cannot do, yes, you can. Because you can do all things through Christ. This is where we're going to end the episode. Okay, fire of God. Oh my gosh. This is where we're going to end the episode. I brought communion today. And I think this would be a really good opportunity for us to take this communion together and repent of all the stuff that maybe we have been unforgiving in.

Sure, we can talk about that. If there are things that you felt convicted about in this conversation, like dang, okay, I have not been extending enough forgiveness towards this individual or this part of my life or whatever, or we can repent forever doubting our capabilities of doing things through Christ.

doubting the power of the Holy Spirit and doubting the blood of Jesus, doubting the literal promises of the word of God. We're going to repent for all of those things. Okay. If we've been believing any of it, they're just straight up lies. And another part of repentance that is very important is not only saying, God, I'm sorry, but saying, I come out of agreement with these lies and I'm going this way now. Repentance isn't just, I'm sorry. It's

God, you're right. This is not the truth. I'm sorry for ever believing these lies. And so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn this way and I'm going this way and I'm going to walk towards your truth and your promises, which is that I can do all things through Christ and that I can rejoice in my weaknesses because that's when you can be strong for me. That I'm supposed to be still knowing that you are fighting for me, right? Those are the truths.

And that's what we come into agreement with. Not this anymore. So everybody grab your bread and juice. Grab your bread. Grab the blood. And we're just gonna repent. Because on the other side of repentance is freedom. And it really is God's love that leads us to repentance. So thank you, Lord, for the gift of repentance. That it actually is genuinely such a gift.

It's nothing to be ashamed of. I just spilled the blood literally all over my pants. That's fine. We're covered. Hey, we're covered in the blood, literally. Okay. God, thank you for the gift of repentance. Thank you that we get to come together and it's not in shame that we are all imperfect, Father. And that is something you knew about us before we were ever even conceived.

You knew that we were going to make these mistakes before we made them. And so, Father, I just speak with my brothers and sisters right now. We come together in agreement that the ways that we may have been thinking, whether it's unforgiveness, a lack of just extending grace to certain people, whether it's a spirit of just judgment, a spirit of unbelief,

that we don't have enough strength to forgive others or we don't have enough strength to do most things. God, that we just repent for believing all of those lies. They are literally so ugly. It is not your portion for us. It is not your promises for our lives. It is a straight up lie from the pits of hell. And so God, we

we just come to you humbly saying we are so sorry for being disobedient and even believing these icky lies that this is not a part of our identity as children of yours, God, that if we believe we are a child of yours, this is just not in our character. This is not supposed to be in our character as Christians.

And so we come out of agreement with these lies. And I also right now want you guys to just call out those lies right now out loud. Say, I come out of agreement with the spirit of blank. I come out of agreement with the spirit of unforgiveness. I come out of the agreement of fear, disbelief, feeling incapable. Like whatever it is that God has not spoken over you, you're going to verbally say it out loud. I come out of agreement with this freaking lie. I come out.

out of agreement with it. It's not the truth. It's ugly. And I bind you. We bind every demonic spirit and demonic lie that has come through our head and potentially even out of our mouths. We could have even spoken this death over ourselves or over other people. We bind that in Jesus name. We send it

back to the pits of hell where it belongs and it will not return in Jesus name. And so God, now we turn to the truth, which is that you have told us that we can do all things through Christ. That as long as we are extending forgiveness to others, you are extending forgiveness back to us. God, I thank you that your mercies are new every morning, that you joyfully give us new mercies every day. You give us fresh forgiveness every day. And

Every day, we have a new opportunity to repent for our sins and receive freedom from them. Thank you, God, that every day is an opportunity for our minds to be renewed and for you to remind us of the truth, God. And so we take this bread now in honor of your son, Jesus Christ. Jesus, thank you that this is one of the many reasons why you had to die for us on the cross was so that we could plead your blood over us and we could repent for our sins.

God, thank you that you have already overcome every sin we've ever done and every sin we will ever do, that it was first overcome by you. And now we have the opportunity to just repent for them and to get clean from them. So we just take this bread in honor of you, Jesus. Thank you for your death on the cross. We love you so much. And we're just going to take the bread. Thank you, God.

Jesus, thank you for the blood. Thank you that this blood is literally a shield to our minds, to our bodies, and to our souls. Jesus, thank you that this blood is active and alive, that it is something that protects us every day. And so, God, we just plead this blood from the top of our heads to the bottom of our feet. God, please renew our minds with your blood.

Help us to extend so much more love to other people and ourselves, God, through your blood. Jesus, thank you for spilling your blood for us. Thank you that this blood washes us clean. It washes us white as snow from our mistakes. And we just thank you for your forgiveness. And Jesus, thank you that this blood was spilled for every single person walking this earth. And

And let us extend the same mercy that you extended them on the cross. Let us extend that same mercy to them and show them your love tangibly in front of them. Through us, God, use us as vessels to pour out love towards these people who may have hurt us or said awful things about you or us. Like, however these people have hurt us, God, I just pray that we can extend that same mercy. So we take the blood now in Jesus' name, God. Thank you for the gift of your blood. And amen.
