Okay, so now that we've had our little honoring moment, I want to move on to...

What we're going to talk about today, because I have felt it on my heart to address this. And I think the reason why this is something that I really feel on my heart to talk about is because I don't personally identify as somebody who's been walking with the Lord for very long because

I just haven't been. It's the truth. I've only been walking with the Lord for a couple of years. And so I just think that this topic hits really close to home for me because I was just a baby Christian, if not still kind of am like I'm new or here, right? We're new. Two years is not very long to be walking with the Lord. And so I think that's the reason that this is kind of hitting so close to my heart.

But I really feel led today to encourage people who might be new to their faith to be bold and to not be afraid to speak up about the gospel and about Jesus. And whether you are somebody who just came to Christ or if you're somebody who has been walking with the Lord for a long time, I do believe that this podcast will still resonate forever.

for a lot of us, if not all of us, because there's something that I do believe the Spirit of God can speak to your heart about, whether it's about, you know, stepping out in boldness about the gospel or not. Like, I just pray right now that the Holy Spirit ministers to you in a way that maybe I didn't think coming into this, like,

I'm going to be talking about a specific thing, but I just pray that the Spirit does whatever He wants with ministering to your hearts because I do believe that this message can apply to a lot of things in your life. But specifically, I am going to zone in and talk about baby Christians and when it is appropriate for you to be teaching, preaching the gospel, sharing the good news, talking about Jesus, sharing your testimonies. Like, when is a good time for you to do that? Because I think that sometimes...

There is this pressure, whether it's in your own mind, whether it's just kind of happening in your brain, or it's things that you have heard through the church. I feel like there is a misconception that can carry through the church that says that you have to reach a certain time or you have to have a certain amount of tools under your belt before you can start talking about these things, before you can start teaching about the good news. And I will recognize and say that

Not everyone in the church is going to agree with what I have to say today. And I think that's totally fine. I actually think that's totally fine. I think that it's always important, no matter where you're at with your walk with the Lord, is to bring it to his feet and be like, is this something from you? I think ultimately that is the most important thing that we should be doing. Whether you've been walking with Jesus for three months or three years, I think it's always good to have humility in the room. And so if we feel...

obligated like we feel like there's this thing in us that's like you have to speak up about it i think that's always good to bring to the feet of jesus and be like all right god does this align with what you want me to do i think that we should always be aware

of just not speaking from our flesh, you know, not speaking from opinions, but trying our best to speak through with just the spirit of God, the spirit of God using us and speaking through us. I think we have to be yielded enough for him to do that. And so that is something I did before I talked today. I literally practiced this.

that. Before I came in today, I said, God, is this something that you'd like for me to bring to the podcast? And I do believe that the Holy Spirit is going to operate today in a way that is still approaching this with just grace and considering all the things. But I really believe that the Lord actually wants to encourage this part of the

the church who is newer here. And I think he really wants to empower y'all and just encourage boldness into you. Yeah, like this is something that I still struggle with today is I'll be like, ah, but you know, I think about

time. And sometimes I feel like God is like, no, time is not something I like. I created time like time revolves around me. I believe that the spirit of God is so free. The spirit of God is just free. He can do whatever he wants because he's God. And so if he wants to use you with only being saved for a couple of months, he can do that.

He can do that because he's God. I just think that sometimes it can get a bit religious where we're putting all of these restrictions on Christians, convincing them and telling them that they have to have these things before they can actually go out and spread the good news. Something that I want to acknowledge is this saying, and a lot of us Christians have probably heard this before, is that God does not call the qualified, but he qualifies the

the called what does that mean when we reflect on that we break it down it's saying that we are not called because we're qualified we don't get get called to spread the good news of jesus because god was like yep she's got it all together yep he is definitely qualified for the job he's done enough training he's gone into enough schooling he's done this that no that's not how jesus works actually he calls the people who are the least qualified and qualifies them

once they're called okay so if you have been called by Jesus it is then that we become qualified so what is it that makes us qualified when I reflected on this I was like okay so what is the ultimate thing that makes us qualified I guess to talk about Jesus and to be bold for him no matter where we're at in our journey with the Lord the very thing that makes us qualified is the spirit of God

he is the only one that's qualified we aren't actually so if you're having all of these like thoughts in your mind we're like i'm not qualified i'm not good enough i can't do this i haven't been around long enough like i've only been walking with jesus for this amount of time i can't start speaking and saying things and starting my own podcast or sharing the gospel with my family it's only been a few months or it's only been a year like whatever those lies are i will say there is a half truth in that and i think that that's something that we've brought to this podcast before and we know very much about the enemy is that he will tell a half truth which makes it a lie because he's not telling the

full truth. The half truth is that you're not qualified. You don't have it in you. Well, that is a half truth. We can't really do, we're not qualified already on our own, but what qualifies us is the spirit of God. What qualifies us is God because he is qualified. He is qualified. Okay. He has everything

thing that we need, right? It goes back to that scripture that we can do all things through Christ. We can't do all things on our own. We aren't qualified. So that's where the half truth that makes it a lie comes in is like that thought is not far off. But what the enemy is banking that we forget in that moment is that we have access to the very thing that does qualify us because he is qualified. He is the ultimate weapon. He is the ultimate tool. He is the ultimate wisdom. It says in this Bible that this very thing is the key to life, right? So

God is the ultimate tool and wisdom that we could use. We are not qualified unless we have that. And what does being a woman of faith mean to you? also just want to say I am not bashing anyone who's decided to go to ministry school or get an education in things that they are pursuing whether that's pastoring or teaching or whatever like truly those are such gifts and I know that the Lord wants us to utilize those things if we have the personal conviction to do that but what I am trying to debunk today is the

pressure that a lot of us Christians could feel seeing people like that and saying oh I think I have to do that too or you know like this person said I should I should do that before I start you know my own podcast or my my own ministry and like you know I really want to share the gospel with the people that I love but I don't know I don't feel qualified and you know I talked to this person in the church and they're like yeah no honey you probably should go to school and so now I'm like

I probably should wait another two to four years before I start doing that because I don't have all the tools and the school does. And that could be very true. That school does probably have a lot of tools that you could use, but there's nothing we can't learn from the Holy Spirit. There's nothing in this world that has more wisdom than the Holy Spirit himself. And so I'm saying if you have the personal conviction and you feel from God that that's what you're supposed to do and go to school, you better go.

You better go to school. You better go to that ministry school. You better go and learn how to be a pastor or a teacher. You better learn from our elders. You know, I'm not discrediting any of that. Those are very important things in the church. And I believe that they are gifts and they are to be used. If you feel called by God to do that,

Okay, that's the key word is if you feel called by God. Now, if you have this feeling in your tummy where you're like, no, I do feel like I'm called by God. And then you're going to your church about it and you're going to your community and you're going to your pastor and they're like, no, I also feel from the Lord that that's what you're supposed to do. You do that.

But what I'm trying to separate is that conviction from God saying that that's what you need to do versus the expectation and the pressure that could be happening in your own head or from other people that are like, no, you have to do that. I'm sorry, you're too new here. You shouldn't be teaching those things. You don't have enough experience. You don't have enough wisdom. We go back and we look at the disciples. A lot of them were called and

And they were not qualified. They were not qualified. They did not go to school for this. But what they did do is they learned from Jesus. And yes, they walked with the Lord for a few years. But in that time, they were doing what God was telling them to do. They were called, right?

right? The only reason any of us hold any authority to speak the gospel and truth is because of the Spirit of God that lives inside of us. And when I step back and I take a look at just my journey with the Lord, okay, I think again, this is why it hits so close to home for me because I was not qualified starting this podcast. I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know what I was doing. But all I knew is I loved Jesus.

And all I knew was I had a conversation with God and I said, Lord, what do I do? Because I feel so restrained with all of my other platforms. You know, I haven't built them talking about you. And I just I feel this guilt of talking too much, air quotes, too much about you. And I want to just talk freely about you on a platform. And God said to me, why don't you just start one then? Start a space where you only talk about me and see if

if that were the standard where, no, I'm sorry, you've only been walking with the Lord for a few months. Y'all, I was only walking with the Lord for a few months. That's my story. That's just the truth. But I heard from the Spirit of God and I heard him encourage me to start a podcast where I could just talk about him. If that was the standard

And if that was true, and if that was actually biblical, that all of us had to go through like training and schooling and all these things to equip us for years or whatever on end, I should have never had the grace. God shouldn't have allowed it. Honestly, he should not have allowed me to start this podcast. He should have let it

flop. He should have stopped it. He should have put something in the way. He shouldn't have ever let it prosper. It should have never gotten to this point, by the way. Here we are over a year later. No, it should not have prospered, but it did. But it did. And I felt the Lord encouraged me to do it. And so that's why I'm so passionate about this because I'm like, no, no, that is just not the truth. Like, I don't care how new you are to your faith. If you have the spirit of God dwelling inside of you, that is the very thing that gives you the authority. And that is the very thing that

qualifies you to talk about the gospel it's nothing else and again i'm not discrediting all these other things there are really great resources and things that we can use please read books please get an education please listen to your elders please go to your church like yes yes yes yes yes but don't let that be your god if your god is saying i need you to speak up right now you're gonna do it you're just going to do it and you're not gonna let anything else get in the way of like but i'm not qualified and i haven't been doing this long enough you guys pull

Paul, okay, we all know the story of Paul. If we don't, I'll give you a quick recap. This man was so zealous and passionate about killing and murdering Christians that that's what he did. He would slaughter them. He thought that they were full of baloney. He didn't think that they were supposed to live, that it was blasphemous. It was, he murdered them.

Paul murdered Christians, okay? Then he was saved. He was encountered by Jesus. He's walking all of a sudden, got Jesus. He encounters the son of man, literally God, and immediately he changes his ways, his salvation. He's saved in that moment, okay? And so when we look up the story of Paul, we go, okay, this is the man who mainly wrote the New Testament. Paul began teaching almost immediately after his conversion, starting to preach in the synagogues of Tel Aviv.

Damascus right away following his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, as described in Acts 9:20. Essentially, he began teaching very shortly after his salvation. The book of Acts states that Paul immediately began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues. He immediately, immediately started preaching the gospel and teaching in the synagogues. He was called.

He was called because God had a plan for his life. God had a plan for his life. And Paul in that moment could have said, I'm not qualified. I mean, I just started following Jesus. I don't really, I like barely really, no, I can't, I can't do that. But I just think that when you, when you encounter Jesus, I think a lot of us can relate to this. Okay. When you encounter Jesus, the spirit of God, the spirit, I'm talking about the spirit of God.

Because that's who Paul also encountered. It was the spirit of God that he encountered. When you encounter Jesus in a way like that, I'm sorry, there's just something in that. And I believe it's what God intended it to be, where we are immediately going and telling people about it. We are immediately telling people of the good news that the gospel has, that the good news of Jesus Christ, we immediately do it.

And I think the reason why you feel like you're about to burst is because that's actually quite normal. It's normal when you meet the Spirit of God. That's very normal. We see it happen then. We see it happen now. It also makes me think about the woman at the well, the very first person that Jesus revealed himself as the Messiah to. He finally was like, yeah, it's me, right? The very first person that he said that to was this woman at the well, where he had told her everything that she had ever done in her life. And she was like,

oh my gosh, you are the Messiah we've been waiting for. She couldn't wait. She immediately starts running down to town, telling everybody about the man that she met immediately. She didn't say, well, you know, I actually just want to make sure that, you know, I just want to sit with this and, you know, maybe I should just have a relationship with Jesus for a little bit longer. And I'm going to follow him for a little bit longer before I really say anything yet, because I just don't feel. No, she immediately, immediately went and told everyone about what she had encountered and experienced with

Meeting the Messiah. God uses the word immediately a lot in the Bible, not only about the way that he moves, but also I think that the way that he wants to move through us. It's immediately. There is no wasting time. God is an efficient God, okay? He is a productive God and he works

immediately. And so if he works immediately, that means that his spirit within us also probably wants to work immediately, right? But it also comes down to a choice. Like, are you going to choose to believe that the reason that you have this planted inside of you to speak about the gospel and to tell people about it, you're not

claiming to be a know-it-all either, y'all. I think that's another thing that's very important in the church is that as we approach this as new Christians, I personally have always tried my best to make it known that I don't know everything and I'm being obedient. Like I'm trying my best to be obedient. And here's the thing, guys, you won't say everything right. You probably won't always say everything right. I know I haven't.

i know i've probably said some silly things okay and so there's just there's grace especially from god when it comes to that okay i think ultimately what he wants is for us to have enough faith to just go out and do it to speak up and have boldness like just be

Just be bold for the gospel, no matter where you're at with your walk, you know? Like, just be bold. And if we mess up, cool. We can just fall, we can just lean on the Lord if that ever comes, you know? But like, humility is an important thing for us to carry.

as we are preaching the gospel. We're not going, Hey, I know everything. Okay. I met the spirit of God three months ago and now I know everything. Like, why don't we just bring what we know God has taught us, you know? And I think that's something I've always tried to do is like, I'm never going to talk about something that I didn't feel the Lord had either already walked me through or ministered to me about, you know, like typically I'm,

always just bringing like, hey, this is what God taught me. Now I want to share it with y'all, you know, and just sharing the wisdom that our heavenly father has given us to other people instead of trying to talk on things that maybe you haven't necessarily walked through or maybe the Lord hasn't really shown you. Like, just talk about what God has taught you.

i think another thing that's really important for us to always do as well no matter what is that before we speak like i said before right it's like all right we're gonna bring it to the feet of jesus we're gonna say hey god do you want me to say this second thing is i do think that it's a good idea always to make sure that what you're saying is and can be backed up in scripture always always i don't think you should ever talk about something and

not make sure that there's biblical evidence and proof that could back that up, right? Like I'm talking today about how you don't have to go to like two to four years schooling to tell people about the goodness of God and preach the gospel. And now we're going to back it up through Acts 9 21, where Paul shortly after and immediately, guys, I'm going to go back to this. Paul was on his way when he was walking down that path. Paul was walking to Damascus,

Okay? That is then when Jesus...

just he encounters Jesus on his walk there and so then by the time he gets to his destination he's actually plot twist now in the synagogues preaching about Jesus like he had different plans going to that destination I think I don't think that those were his plans but once he got there he said I have to tell people about what just happened to me I have to tell people about the good news I'm going to teach people about the goodness of Jesus at his destination he started doing that

once he got there. That was not his plan when he started that walk. Do you get what I'm saying? Another thing that's so crazy about the story of Paul is that the apostles at the time, okay, thought that when Paul rolled up, this is how fresh it was. This is how fresh it was, how immediate it was that he was talking about Jesus and preaching the gospel after he was just murdering Christians. They were scared. They thought he was about to show up and kill them all. Word hadn't

even gotten to them yet of his salvation that he was actually saved. So they see him coming and they're like, oh no, he's going to kill us. That's how fresh it was, y'all. That's how immediate it was. That's how soon it was. They hadn't even heard that Paul had been saved yet. So yes, it's important to

to back everything up. And I think another thing to recognize is that not everyone is going to agree with that. I'm sure if we could imagine, I am sure that a lot of people had a lot to say about Paul teaching in the synagogues. Oh my gosh. If people had a lot to say about Jesus teaching in the synagogues, when he was a spotless and perfect and pure man, he literally was God and human. He never did a single sin. If anything, he was physically

physically healing people and that was a problem. It was a problem what he was saying in the synagogues, right? And the way that in what he was preaching. So imagine, imagine how many feathers were ruffled when they see someone like Paul doing the same thing who was just

murdering the very people that he's now advocating for and he's preaching about. He was just killing them. So I feel like that also isn't new news. You know, if people don't think that you're qualified enough to be speaking or talking about the gospel or preaching about the gospel, that is not new news. That is a thing that's always happened. So we need to also expect that as well. I'm sure a lot of people had a lot to say, probably still do, about me preaching the gospel. Girl, you were just in the world.

You were just fully in the world, using the Lord's name in vain, cussing your face off on the internet. You were in the world, living in sin. Now you just think you're all holy and high and mighty. Oh, and you know Jesus and you know God and you know, you live this pure life. But that's how the spirit works, y'all. That's what makes him supernatural. Yeah, no, I was just in the world, but that girl's dead and I've been made new through Christ. I am a new creation through the blood of Jesus.

So yeah, I mean honestly to the naked eye, it seems whack.

it is probably a little bit crazy. It probably doesn't look normal, but the spirit of God isn't normal. He's not normal. It's supernatural. And so just expect it, you know, just expect it that there are probably going to be a lot of people who don't like that you are so quick to talk about Jesus, but that's okay. That's okay. We bless them and we love them. And you know what? It's nothing God hasn't already prepared us about. It's not

something God hasn't already told us about. I think just expecting it and being like, okay, it is what it is. But I think the very thing that makes it worth it, y'all, okay? This is the thing that's most important, is how we need to remember that a lot of the purpose of the Holy Spirit is for ministry. Being baptized in the Spirit of God is to be shared, okay? I don't think that the

purpose of us getting baptized in the spirit and having the gifts of the spirit like prophecy and teaching and you know pastoring intercession all of these gifts that the body represents right i don't think that god gives us that gift of of the holy spirit with all of these giftings all of this fruit for it to not be used in ministry for it to not be shared with the world

It is meant to bless others. The Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us and operating through us is to bless other people and to uplift the church. So what do you mean? What do you mean you're baptized with the Holy Spirit and you have this superpower in you? You have this thing. You can hear directly from God. You get visions for people. You can interpret dreams.

and you can translate you can speak in tongues you have dreams for people you are an intercessor and you pray and things move and they happen like so you have this why are we not sharing it with people why are we not sharing it with people because we're scared of what people are going to say imagine if that's what paul did we would not have the new testament like imagine if that's what paul did he's ended up blessing millions and millions and millions

and millions of people because he wasn't afraid of what people had to say or what they thought about him. We need to stop thinking about that, about all the people who criticize us and say, you're not qualified. You haven't been here long enough. You're a baby. You don't know what you're talking about. Okay, we're gonna ignore all that. We're saying, no, I'm not listening to that. Okay, I know you're there. God told me that would happen. Cool. I'm gonna look over here at all the people who need this. I think it's also about acknowledging that

you could potentially be taking away someone's blessing or breakthrough because you don't want to be used by God. You think that you're not good enough. You're not qualified enough. You haven't been here long enough. It is a sense of pride. Like we're looking at ourselves, right? We've talked about this. We talked about this in a couple episodes. But pride is not just, I am the best. I know everything. That's not...

the only way that pride can look. Pride is honestly just when we say I, me, myself, I am not, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. That's pride. Pride starts at me, I, mm, me, mm. That's where it starts, okay? And so if you're saying I'm me, I'm not enough, I don't have this, I'm not qualified, me suck, right? Whatever, that is pride.

So also it is a form of pride. You are looking at yourself way too much and you're not looking at the fact that there are people who desperately need your gift. They desperately need the Holy Spirit. They desperately need encouragement from their heavenly father. So we can't keep looking at ourselves. We can't keep looking at ourselves. And I really believe that like the people in the church who say these things are like, you're not qualified. You can't do this. You need more education. You need more da da da da da. It actually is a tactic of the enemy to make people

people in the church feel like they shouldn't be speaking yet. So if that's the case, then who the heck is going to start talking? Like if that's the case, right? If God just saves hundreds and thousands of people in a generation, which I know he's going to do in this generation, amen? Revival is coming. Revival is in the air. But if God were to do that, he just washes over his whole spirit and we're all saved right now. Does that mean that we can't talk about the Lord for another four to five years? Then who's going to start talking?

talking if not you who and if not now when and that's just the truth like if you're gonna do it when no just do it now because another thing that God says in Scripture it's in this Bible that tomorrow is not not promised we're not gonna

going to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has enough worry about itself. We're going to work with what we have today. There is a reason that we don't know when the end times and when, you know, the book of Revelation is going to come to fruition. We don't know that. And I think the reason we don't know that is because God wants us to be present in what we have today, because

Tomorrow isn't promised. It's just not. And so if you're wasting your time by being like, "Oh, well, you know, I got it. I just, I need more time. Not yet. I can't, I'm not qualified yet." But how can you say that when you do not know what tomorrow brings?

We just don't know the future. And I think a lot of times we get comfortable, and this is real, you know, that we just wake up every morning and we're like, ah, another morning, because that's what we're used to. But it's not promised, y'all. And I just think that that's when fear of the Lord really needs to fall on us and be like, okay, you know what, God? No, I am done saying that I'm going to do this in a year. I'm done saying I'm going to do this by the end of the year, by next month. Like, I'm doing it now, God. And I know you're going to back me up.

And just believing that your heavenly father is going to back you up. You're not in this alone. You know, me starting this podcast, I was like, Jesus, we need to be so linked up. Like I physically can't do this without you. Like I can't do this without you. He will support you. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. He will support you through this. He will give you everything that you need.

This is a verse that has physically carried me, physically carried me through so many situations where I've had to speak in front of people and I've had to do things that I felt so scared and so unqualified to do, guys. This is a verse that will physically carry you through these moments, okay? We're going to start at Luke 12, 11. And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don't worry about how to defend yourself or what to say. For the Holy Spirit

will teach you at that time what needs to be said. The Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said. Again, I don't think that we need to be taking these verses out of context in the sense of like, just me, just me.

and just be careless. We never want to be careless and we never want to approach the gospel in a way that's just willy nilly and we're just throwing it all around and there's no thought. We can't, again, this goes back to like, we got to make sure our heart posture is in a place that is yielded to the spirit of God.

and it is not yielded to our flesh, our opinions. But I don't think spontaneity is a bad thing sometimes. Sometimes I come on here on this podcast and I don't know what I'm going to say. But then I remember this verse that says, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said.

So as long as our heart posture is at a place of, I am yielded to the Spirit of God right now. I have no idea what I'm going to say. I don't know how I'm going to say it, but I feel led by the Spirit of God that he wants to use me as a vessel in this moment. And at this time, the Holy Spirit is going to show me what to say.

The Holy Spirit will give you the words to speak, meaning that when faced with a situation where you need to speak about your faith, the Spirit will provide you with the appropriate words to say, even if you haven't planned them beforehand. This is often referenced in passages like Acts 2:4, where people "began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."

The Holy Spirit acts as a source of power to enable believers to speak effectively about their faith. The idea is that you don't need to pre-plan every word, as the Spirit will guide your speech based on the situation. This concept encourages believers to rely on the Holy Spirit to provide the necessary words when sharing their faith.

So also I just really want that to encourage those who don't feel qualified because the truth is you're not you're not qualified without the Spirit of God. I really want you guys to be encouraged. I hope that you feel encouraged after listening to this episode. Be bold for the gospel no matter where you are at in your walk with the Lord. Just be bold.

Speak from your heart with the Lord. Share your heart for Jesus. Just share your heart for Jesus. Share the things that he's taught you or shown you or said to you. Share them. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. You can do all things through Christ.

Share the truth of Jesus now. Stop waiting. Just do it now. And if you've already been doing that, I am so proud of you. I am so proud of you. And I know that the Lord is even more proud of you. I think ultimately, y'all, it's like,

what would make God proud? What would make him proud? Listening to all these other voices that are telling you that you're not good enough and you can't do it. Or listening to the one voice that matters most, which is God's. You're gonna listen to this one. You're gonna listen to this one. Not all this. What's interesting is that like when the enemy is speaking in our mind, it's so loud. Like he's so loud because he's got so much to convince us of. He's got so much to prove. God ain't got nothing to prove.

It's interesting. God always speaks to us in such a still small voice. That is always the voice that's true, is this one that's like, "Do it. But I'm with you. Come on, let's just do it." But it's like the enemy is like making like the biggest fuss and fit about it. Typically the loudest one in the room has the most to prove. It's like, "Okay, yeah.

You're gonna listen to the small, still voice. You're gonna listen to that one. Well, y'all, I just love you so much. I love you. Thank you for being here for another episode of Christ with Coffee on Ice. I hope that you guys have an incredible weekend and I'm proud of y'all. We're all gonna be bold, okay? So like we say, can we do something cool? Can we show somebody how cool Jesus is? Can we be bold?

like Jesus. Let's be bold like him. Let's speak the truth. Let's just share the love of Jesus. Let's just share the truth of the gospel. And we're not going to be afraid. We're going to have courage. And we're going to get that courage from the Holy Spirit, which is the very thing that qualifies us. Okay? I love y'all. And I will see you next week.

Are some of y'all still listening? Okay, if you're still here, that means you're a real one, which is why I'm about to share this with you.
