Clayton Law withdrew $4,000 in cash from the bank, but their dog Cecil, a 100-pound golden doodle, shredded and ate the money, leaving wet pieces all over the floor.
They followed Cecil around for a couple of days, collecting partially digested bills from his vomit and feces. They washed the bills, taped them together, and exchanged them at the bank, recovering around $3,500.
The bank told the Laws that dogs often eat money because it picks up food smells from passing through restaurants, making it seem valuable and edible to the dog.
A caller reported that a pig was following them from the Elyria train station to their house in North Ridgeville, Ohio.
They found a 50-pound pig running alongside the caller, eventually catching it and placing it in the back seat of the police car. The pig was later returned to its owners.
He found a massive honey hive in the wall of Sailor's room, containing 65,000 bees. The hive was the source of the noise Sailor had been hearing, which she thought were monsters.
They discovered it was a herring gull covered in curry powder, likely from getting trapped in a drum of curry seasoning. They named the bird Vinny and gave it several baths to clean it before releasing it.
Brett wrestled with the possum, eventually pulling it out of the tree and from under her couch. She held it for a moment to calm it down before releasing it outside, though she had to throw away her smelly hoodie afterward.
