What's up everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rhea and Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday. Happy Wednesday. We are episode one into Rhea's honeymoon. So she is not here. Kelly Keegs is here. Hello. Yay. Yes. Everyone's favorite. Number one choice. No, honestly, here I am. You might be.
Oh my God. I was totally kidding. I know, but I... Just so you guys know that. I was not being serious when I said that. I was...
But when I posted saying, oh, suggesting who co-hosts, you were up there, Gia, you know, some various other... I was joking about the other Barstool people that were suggested. Yes, and you were telling me the other day. But you were by far up there. Well, well, well, well, then. Not Scumbag Trent. No, no, not Scumbag Trent. Not that Scumbag Trent, yeah. Who lived it up over the weekend. I know we won't talk about...
You guys did the whole recap of the wedding. I know. We did the whole wedding. I was there too. You were. You were. Oh my God. It was such a love fest. It was just so good. But yeah, but Trent was there and he was being lovely all night. I won't lie. He was. He was being lovely all night. That's how he gets you. He's back in. Well, that's the problem. That's the problem. I'm back in on Trent. We had a great night. He ignores your texts and he doesn't talk to you when he's not here. And then you see him in real life and you have a conversation with him and you're like, ah. Yeah.
Yeah. There it is. There's my man. Yeah, and he's like being nice and asking you questions. Exactly. And checking in. And you're like, okay. Yeah, he's remembering stuff all of a sudden. I'm like, oh, wow, okay.
Maybe you are my friend. Exactly. Exactly. But yes, I'm very happy to be here, friend. Thank you for having me. And happy to be a placeholder for Precious Rhea and Marty who are enjoying their life right now. As they should. And I'm excited for them. As they should. And jealous. They're going to have a beautiful, beautiful trip. I know, right? Really sickly jealous. It's not a joke. I'm like, I do want her to...
like turn off her phone. I wanted to throw her phone in the lake. That nice ass lake. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is funny the juxtaposition between Fran on her honeymoon in terms of like my point of view because like I didn't speak to Fran once. Not once. For like the entirety. No, literally not once. I didn't even think to send a text. No, no, I said to Rhea, I said I will text when texted. Yeah, yeah. But she's the one texting. No, every time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's in chats. Rhea.
Reliving as well. But that's why I'm just like, no, exactly. It's still so close to the wedding. How quickly did you leave after you went? Right. Like I was home. I came home Monday, wedding Saturday. Sunday I was still in the vineyard. Monday, flew home. Tuesday morning left for honeymoon. Oh, so basically the same time frame. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, you know, it's one of those things where you just, you know, you're getting excited, you're getting acclimated, you want to take pictures of everything. Totally. You want to bring all your friends to the event. She's also just, like, she likes to be in the know. Loves to share. And she doesn't, like, she wants to be in the know. She wants to be in the group chat still. She wants to know what everybody else is doing. She's the FOMO. I'd be the same, by the way. I'm like that. Completely, but that's where I'm the opposite. I'm like, leave group. Don't talk to me. I don't care what you're doing. And you'll tell me in two weeks.
I would I think I would cripple my soul like if I were to yeah I in my brain that sounds wonderful and I would like to be that person I think if I knew that there were group chats that I'm supposed to be in popping off that I'm not in at the moment I would die like I think I would die inside that's fair that's fair
It's a terrible trait. I wish I was not that way. Maybe I'll grow out of that. When she texted our group yesterday, like our Chixie office group, I thought about making a joke, being like, we're having such a good time in our other group. Oh, no, don't even. I was like, I can't even do that to her. No, she can't. No, she'll fly back. And she knows what she's doing. I'm like, oh, my God. I'm like, you're cracking me up texting me, but...
But no. No, it'll dissipate. It's an adjustment period also. She's like, just got there and you're still in tune. And there's wedding stuff still being posted and everything. So it's like you're locked in and still living in it. Hey, Rhea. Yeah, yeah. Hey, girl. For sure. That's so true. She might listen to the first 10 minutes to see if we talk about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In which we are. Right. In which we are. It's all about her. Surprise. Another two hours of Rhea. But from my perspective...
Right, so now, Kelly, give us the play-by-play. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I woke up that day, and I made sure that my spray tan looked okay. Which I'm really milking my spray tan. I've got shorts on today. No, honestly. 80 degrees in New York City. I am too. It's splotchy, though. It's splotchy as hell. My arms, I'm in my jacket because my arms are starting to look bad. Yeah. You know what I get? It's elastic. No, plug your ears, but like the in-between, like the boob. It's so bad. The boob remnant from the spray tan is just the...
The worst. It's so ugly. It's so gross. It makes your chest look crazy. It does. I think this is the last time that my chest will not look 50 years older than it is. You just can't exercise. And it gets even worse. And then when it's sweaty and it's just brown gunk. Do you guys stain your sheets?
Like, how does that work? Yeah. Like, kind of, yeah. I mean, it comes out in the wash. Yeah, it does. But I have a myriad of colors of sheets and I'll make sure that like a darker, I have like a juniper color on right now that's like a darker, almost olive. And so I put that on before I got my spray tan and now like,
I'll switch them out once my spray tan goes away. You know what I mean? I don't like to... But yeah, it gets all over your shit. What I do though, I'll do spray tan and then I come home and I put on a robe and I just walk around in the robe. I normally do just about the same. Yeah. And I feel like... My stomach's growling also. Apologies. No, I'm sorry you didn't get to eat. No, I wasn't hungry at all. And I'm still not. My stomach's just growling. When I was...
The last couple nights, it's like this... It's tough in the... In New York, it's... You don't, like, fully have control of your heat and air and everything. So, like, the heat is still on in my building. Same. So, it's not on-on. Worst time of year. Yeah, I don't, like, have it on. Yeah. But...
There's heat. If you were to put your hand over it, it's still warm. So it makes everything very warm. And then it's warm during the day. And then my apartment gets very hot. And then sleeping at night, not to be gross, but like this morning I woke up, I was totally sweating in my sleep. And I did look and I was like, that's definitely a spray tan. Like that's definitely a spray tan. Like sweat. Like a spray tan.
Like a film. Yeah, absolutely. But that and you're right about this this time in New York. It's, you know, everybody that lives in a in an apartment with a radiator that you can only open and close as much as you can. Yeah. The heat still comes on, though. So, yeah, I was having trouble on Sunday because I it was cold outside and I.
I opened my window and I thought, oh my God, it's a beautiful day. It's a beautiful day. Not realizing that my heater directly in front of the window was on. So when I walked up to it being like, wow, it's stunning. It's beautiful. It was actually just heat blowing directly in my face. And I went outside and it was 40 degrees. Felt like 35. Horrible. It was horrible. Yeah, exactly. And that's how it is. Well, it's beautiful this week. You're going to see the blossoms. Going to see the blossoms. Your favorite time of year. Today's the day. Full bloom, of course. Well, you know, I was a...
for lack of a better phrase, a pig and shit at the wedding because it was just full of blossoms. It was a blossom paradise. And that is my number one thing. So I really have just been soaking it up this year. I wish I walked into the room when you walked into the room. I would have loved to have seen your reaction. I was prepared for the blossoms. You were prepared, I know. But it's still another thing when you see it.
Well, obviously I was like half in the bag also. And I walked in and I was like tears streaming down my face. I think I started crying at a certain point and had just had perpetual like rimmed eye tears the rest of the night. Like it was just – it was so stunning, so beautiful. But yeah, the blossoms and flowers in general, you know, florals are spring groundbreaking. But I just – they really invigorate my soul. And so I just got to – you got to pay your respects to Mother Nature.
Exactly. She's showing off right now. And today is the day. Today is the day for you. So yes, catch me there. Well, we have a lot of topics to catch up on. So much has been going on. So we'll jump into that. But we're also going to do our pop corner. So we'll do some calls. Love calls. Some voicemails from the listeners. See what they're into right now. A lot of them will be addressed to Rhea, but just pretend that they're saying Kelly. I'll answer as Rhea. I'll be like, as a married woman, this is how I feel. Wait, speaking of being a married woman, um,
I got so many DMs that I was so confused by. When you posted the selfie of us, I guess the way that we took it, the photo like flipped. Yeah. And so it looked like this ring, which is just my Nana's ring that I wear around, was on my wedding ring. Oh.
- Oh. - Flooded with DMs. Oh my God, you're engaged? You're engaged? What the fuck? Didn't even know you were engaged. No, I'm not engaged. - Oh my God. - No, I'm not engaged. - I didn't even think about that. - But honestly, I'm only saying it on this podcast because I do kind of want to keep people guessing. So if people really did think I was engaged, I want them to keep thinking it. - Oh my God, so true. Oh my God, it really does feel like it. - It really does. - 'Cause it does. - And the way your hand is on my shoulder. - Yes, and it kind of looks like an engaged, I didn't really think about it looking like an engagement ring, but I think it is like an old, you know, just like it's an old ring of my Nana's that I'm wearing around. - Oh my God, that's so funny.
How funny, right? Can I also share that the funniest part of what I was laughing at, one of the things I was laughing at about the wedding was when we sat down in the pew, one, you had to tie Joe's bow tie, which you did a fantastic job doing. Yes, thank you, thank you. So there needs to be a bow tie person in the friend group. It's not me, so I'm glad it's you. It's me. I went to school in the South. You got to know how to do those things. Yep, yep, yep. And then you had such nervous energy.
And I was cracking up because you're sitting behind me in the pew. And I just hear you go, Fran, does my makeup look okay? I just realized I didn't put a highlighter on. She was like, I forgot my highlighter. Do I not look dewy? I don't think I look dewy enough. And I was like, Kelly, your makeup looks stunning. You and Franny were both so dewy. And I was like, fuck, I forgot the highlighter. I was like, Rhea's going to notice.
I really was. It was cracking you up. We were talking about it before. I was getting ready in my apartment and just like screaming. I just kept being like, oh my God. I could not control my excitement. I know. Did not drink at all before. You can't drink before the church. But when I was getting ready, I was like, should I have a glass of wine to calm down? I thought the same thing. I was like, should I? Yeah. I had to stop myself from doing it. Or else I was like, I'm going to be way, I'm going to give, I thought if I had a glass of Prosecco, I'd give myself a headache. Right.
Right. Because if you have one, it's like you have a headache. And then you have one and then you get worked up. Yes. And then when you get worked up, that's when the headache comes on. I was so worked up. And I was just so overcome. Everyone looked so good. I was so excited. And you had just, like right when I was leaving my apartment to pick everybody up, you had said to me and Gia, prepare yourselves. I did. Rhea looks insane. And when you sent that text, I was like, oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God.
Oh my God. And I like went back. I'm redoing my hair. Like I just was like, everyone needed to be, to be, you know, a one. And I feel like we really all pulled it out and I think it all looks good. Despite the fact I was missing highlighter. Right. Right. Right. Right. Which is tough. Let me tell you, your makeup still looked amazing. Thank you. Amazing. Slightly less dewy, but amazing nonetheless. I was a little less dewy, but it's like you need all the dewy you can get. For a wedding sometimes though, like no, because you're, the tears, your sweat, like different times you're getting hot. Like all these moments you, you,
The do naturally comes back. And it did. Because I did. I did. When I was crying, like, during, like, as they're leaving. They're leaving the church. They're walking out. I'm crying. They stop. He's dipping her. Everything's happening. Whatever. I'm crying, sobbing tears. I did take my tears and do a little. A little. Just a little. Just a little. Tears. Life's natural highlighter. Life's natural highlighter. Yeah. So I did do that. And then I feel better after. So.
I forgot about that. I forgot about that. I was like, I was so, I was so excited. I was just so excited. And you know, what can you do? It was the robust. What can you do? Exactly. So, uh, we'll get into that. And then we also have an interview with Charlotte Triggs, who's the people editor in chief. She was here. Oh,
Fabulous Fabulous A little one on one Oh I can't wait To watch this all back And listen Me and her Talking people's Most beautiful issue Love Her career We love people She's been at people For like 20 years Very impressive She just got promoted To editor in chief At the beginning of this year Let's go Congratulations to her Very exciting She's girl boss at heart As they say Hell yeah And
And we're going to get into some topics. So let's jump right into it. We got some big ones. I know Rhea and I teased it because we sat down on Sunday and we were like, how do we not talk about JoJo Siwa? Because Rhea and I have been texting about it nonstop. It's out of this world. I am so happy to be here to talk about it. JoJo Siwa, the saga that has been celebrity big brother in the UK. It has been an absolutely wild ride. Mm-hmm.
We have a new couple in BJ Novak and Delaney Rowe, who is, you know, internet TikTok star. TikTok actress. TikTok actress. Does a lot of skits, funny skits and such. I'm a big fan of hers. Last week, we didn't get to talk about this either. The Summer I Turned Pretty teaser came out, which we really need to dissect. There's a rumor of a Sophie Turner breakup, perhaps. And Joe Jonas just released a new song, All in Tandem.
Just saying. Travis Kelsey allegedly unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram.
We had the world's most uncomfortable interview with Bill Belichick on CBS this morning with his girlfriend Jordan. And the Cowboy Carter tour has kicked off night one in LA. The stars were out. We got to see the costumes, the stage, the appearances. There were some appearances from her daughters. So we will talk about that. And like I said, Pop Corner and the interview. So let's kick it off with some Jojo Siwa.

Fran, first of all, whenever I think of JoJo Siwa, I think of you first. Just so you know. Wow. Thank you. Because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of, because of,
Think I love Jojo Siwa. Like, I really enjoy her. I think that she means well. I think that she is a good spirited person. And I... When the clip of Mickey Rourke... Ugh! That shit came out. I was like, fuck that guy. I love Jojo Siwa. I will literally stand by her forever and always. And I still am. And I'm now feeling bad because I think that she is just... She's just...
She's just confused what she wants in her life. Yeah, I think there's a lot of layers to this. A lot of layers. And she is definitely still trying to find herself. She's 21 years old. Yes. I think she is used to doing that all on reality TV. So when she's in those settings, I feel like it almost...
Makes her more introspective, if that makes sense somehow. Because it's like, she's doing Dance Moms or, you know, she did... Special Forces, right? Did you watch that season with her? I did. She was great on Special Forces. And funny enough, I find that there's like a really similar...
This is more extreme. I know what you're about to say. JoJo and Tyler Cameron became so close from Special Forces. Yes. Like best buds. They were talking about like brother-sister vibe. Like JoJo came to... This was like two years ago. It was right after they had finished filming and Nick Vile was there too from them doing the show. And that...
It was for a foundation for Tyler's mom and they do an event every year, his gala. And she was there and it was so nice and they're so close. And I was like,
JB Dance Battle, JoJo Siwa's a bad idea. Yeah, never forget, never forget. JB's failed dance battle. Fell to the ground, yep, failed dance battle. So bad. And so now I'm like, okay, here she is on another show with an older, handsome reality TV vet. Very charismatic. Yes, that are becoming so close. This took another level because there was a major physical aspect to this that I didn't
Did not see when I was watching Special Forces. Not at all. Between her and Tyler. So if you're watching, it's tough because we really, I only was seeing clips on TikTok. Me too. Celebrity Big Brother, I'm sure there's a way to watch it here. It's not like easily found. This is the UK version. Mm-hmm.
And I don't, you know, I'm not chasing it down like I do Love Island when I'm watching on my VPN, which I'm sure you could do. It wouldn't necessarily be appointment TV in any other scenario. But suddenly this interesting storyline is blossoming. And now it's like over, right? Like it's done. The show's over. The show is over. And I've also never watched Big Brother. Neither. Well, I've seen...
episodes I've never watched a season start to finish. I know all the all the popular people like season one traitors. I knew Dan like I knew I know some of the people that like come in that the really the reality star vets the ones that kind of pop up on other shows and are around and have that name recognition. Exactly and this guy Chris right? Chris Hughes yes. Chris Hughes he is also he has it he is that. Love Island season three. Yes. He was with Olivia who was actually just on our show recently. They not only did they have a spinoff
reality show after their season of Love Island he has done other shows plenty of other shows and he also dated Jesse from Little Mix yes which really Little Mix same love so I my question then I guess Fran is like the the point where it turned and we started being like okay what's happening here for me at least was when he was like tickling her back in bed right
Have you guys talked about that already yet? No, we haven't talked about this at all. Because I saw that and I was like, okay, yes, that is a sweet thing. And I know that JoJo identifies a certain way. She likes a certain kind of person. And I really didn't think too much about it even when I saw it. I did think like, well, that's cozy. But then I thought, okay, no, no, no. She's got her whole thing going on. And I also didn't like where I kind of went in my head being like, is he taking advantage of a situation? And then I was like, I don't.
That can't be it. That can't be because he seems really nice and caring and sweet. So I don't think there's anything nefarious about it. But it is something to note. It's something to note. No, it absolutely is. And I did see, and once again, this is solely from...
my For You page that I've built brick by brick, you know, of what people were saying was, especially after the Mickey Rourke stuff, which if you didn't see that, Mickey Rourke was on the season of Celebrity Big Brother. First episode, he had some...
very not okay things to say about JoJo Siwa. He used some language that was extremely inappropriate. He's dropping F slurs as jokes. Yeah, yeah. Being like, oh, it's all fun and games. He said something along the lines of like, we gotta get the lesbian out first. Like, just really gross things. And Chris had defended her in those scenarios too to him. Yes. Which may have kicked it off in a certain way. JoJo also went into the show with,
In a relationship. Yes. JoJo had been dating Kath, who is an Australian personality DJ. Yeah.
And they have had a lot to say now post because JoJo broke up with Kath at the wrap party of the season. Now I'm jumping ahead, but there's just so much going on. There's a lot. There's a lot. But wait, wait, wait. Bring it back a little bit to Mickey Rourke because there's something important here where Mickey Rourke is obviously this old man. He's out of touch. So much plastic surgery. He can't even move his face. Like nobody really. Crazy he was even on Big Brother to begin with. Yeah.
He's throwing out what he thinks are jokes about lesbians, about JoJo, and he's saying this to her face. It's not like he was talking shit behind her back and she heard about it. He was saying F slurs to her face. He was saying, oh, who do you like? You like girls? Yeah, I can tell. Saying stuff like that. Everyone around was uncomfortable. Everyone around was like, Mickey, you can't say that. JoJo was saying, Mickey, you can't say that. Chris kept on being like, man, that's not cool after the F slur joke. He was like, that's fucked up, not cool, whatever. In that moment, Mickey goes away.
And that's when JoJo and Chris have this, for the first time, I think, again, based on clips, they have this moment where JoJo's clearly upset and Chris cozies up to her and is like, listen, if you just need to cry, you cry. And he like holds her and she's sobbing in his arms. Like she's having a vulnerable moment because she was just discriminated against for her sexuality by this old man in the middle of a reality TV show. And it was a really...
sweet moment, a friend moment for sure. And I didn't think anything of that past that except for like, wow, this is really sweet. Then I guess in the coming weeks, like they just got closer, became better friends. Maybe that moment of him like really being there for her sparked something in her that thinks like, okay, maybe that's, I'm just looking for someone to be there for me. Not necessarily, it doesn't matter who it is,
I just really like how he stuck up for me and whatever. And then we've got the tickling of the back and all that's going on. They were constantly touching. They were always touching, yeah. In every clip, they're talking about massages. They're cuddling in bed. They're in a hot tub. Like, there's just...
They were inseparable. Which felt like a line whether you are... If there's a defense of like, oh, they're just so close. They're just friends. JoJo's in a relationship. Like that seemed to be a defense that was used. And then there was people that were like, oh, Chris is using this to his advantage. Stay in the house. Yeah, stay in the house. And that kind of thing. Manipulating her. Right, like it makes him look good. But then it's just like, I don't know. It just...
Sorry, it just took a level that was like, this is not platonic touching. I'm sorry. I have guy friends that I have no problem giving a hug or touching their arm, whatever. I'm a touchy friend. If you think of all your touchiest friends, I'm up there. Even all friends, girlfriends, guy friends, everybody. I said, something's there. That's sexual. Not even so much sexual. No, it is sexual. But more of like...
Intimate. Right. Like it was, it was, yeah, it was more than just sex. It was like, right. It felt whatever. So then it does feel like Jojo was also working through a lot of feelings and this was also happening. She was opening up about herself, her sexuality saying, I've always felt like I was a lesbian. Maybe that's not true.
how I fully identify as anymore. She was like, I feel like I'm queer. And that's, she was also speaking about, you know, how she is non-binary people in her life and like that label and kind of like. And she did say in the show, I'm non-binary, but I like girls is like what she said or something. I think. Yeah.
I might be wrong about that. No, it's... I think that's what she said to Mickey when he asked her, like, what's your deal? Right. I think that's what she said first. I'm not sure on that because I think she had said... Yeah, I'm forgetting. It's something that she's thought about. Maybe that's why I'm mixing it up. But she's not quite sure if she would want to...
fully use that. I think that's another part that she was working through. She had to find that clip fast. Yeah, yeah. It was a couple weeks ago. Yeah, yeah. Regardless. She was talking about Kath and her relationship and how she's had these feelings of like, oh...
Is that more of how I feel? Or is this how I feel? And, you know, she's 21 years old. She's working through a lot of these emotions, feelings. She's been on reality TV her whole life. Like, it's a lot. It's a lot to go through. And it just felt like as it went on, she seemed to be questioning more and more. And their relationship, JoJo and Chris, was getting worse.
closer and closer and seemingly more and more physical. JoJo's 21. Chris is 32. They are now off the show. They did their first... They did an interview on like morning TV in the UK. Or whatever they're... This morning. Today. Yeah, whatever. And...
I mean, he's got his hand on her knee the whole interview. They're like, we're so close. We're such good friends. He said the word friend no less than 10,000 times. Oh, yeah. But then he described it as sometimes... A soulmate friend, I think he was saying. He said, sometimes you have friends who are... Like, you have soulmate friends. It's like, we are friends and we are so close and we love each other and the love is there, but it's a friendship. Like, we are friends. Yeah. And I'll say this. Like, I...
Definitely have friendships that are deep friendships. And that are... And I'm not... With like guy friends. I have guy friends where I have deep friendships with them. And I know that it's platonic now. Maybe it wasn't at some point in time. Right. You know? But it's like... It's a different level for sure. Yeah. When you've had that kind of relationship and then you're friends and it's years go by. And then yes, it's like, oh, that's how we were meant to be. Yeah. But I don't think that they can...
I mean, I don't know. I don't want to gatekeep friendship, but it seems so... It's such a strong way to describe a friendship that has always been platonic. You know what I'm saying? I would never describe...
Imagine I'm – I'm not going to use a real example. But like it's like I have one of my guy friends here or something and I'm like, oh, that's my soulmate friend. Yeah, right. People would be like, what the fuck? So you guys hooked up, right? It's like what they would say. Yeah. And I would say if I were to classify someone as a soulmate friend, yeah, maybe we hooked up when we were kids or whatever. And then you find out that you're friends. Like that's how you become that kind of friend. And I'm just so curious as to like what – Right.
Do we think like things happen behind the scenes and maybe they tried to work it out and they decided we're better than friends, better as friends? I have no clue. I mean, it's not like the cameras aren't on when they're on. True, but they're off now. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. No, now, I mean, now they've said like, oh, we're going to,
figure out what's going on. I don't know. It was like they kind of alluded to them spending time together outside of the show and like seeing what's what. I feel like they're like, yeah, we're going to maybe hook up and see if it works out. Like that's the vibe I got. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Who knows? Yeah. It really is interesting because I think that it felt like, well, oh, JoJo, you know, JoJo wouldn't be attracted to him.
People would, one would think. One would think. But I, in this case, it seems like maybe things were moving around and she's like, well, maybe there is some. Maybe I am. I don't know. Yeah, exactly. I don't know. This is a new door that I've not explored. Exactly. A new avenue I've not addressed. And I think, you know. It was very, like, look, she seemed very excited to be,
discovering different parts of herself and like growing and seeing how she feels. Exactly. And she was like, she's laughing. She was like, I'm turning the L to a Q. Like, you know, she's like, talking about the letters. She's like, I'm going to be, I'm the L to the Q now. And like, just how she feels. And I love whatever journey JoJo is on. Because once again, I think JoJo is like a ray of sunshine. I agree. When she comes into our room, we felt it when she came on our show too. She's just, has such a...
What's the right word? She's just a magnetic energy. She's very genuine. That you really just feel. And maybe Chris has really felt that. I don't know what's going on there. It's just been so interesting. She is a captivating woman. She is. She is so lovely. And we're going on and on about how lovely she is. But it would not shock me at all
for like guys to be attracted to her. Right. Just because she says I like girls doesn't mean that guys don't think that she's attractive or are attracted to her as a person or anything. So that, that's the other element to it. And, but I, I will say that after seeing all the clips and then now seeing this interview in the morning and whatever, I don't think that Chris is,
Is doing anything wrong I think that he's playing it right I think that he Is being respectful of her Trying to figure her shit out I don't necessarily think He's like cloud chasing off her Right Like I don't get those vibes You know how Yeah yeah yeah Sometimes when someone Dates someone new And you see them Kind of like In the middle of something Yeah I don't know I'm still a little sus A little bit like Bill Belichick And what's her face People are sussed out by that But
Here's the thing is I want to try not to be sus because I want to believe that this is genuine. Yeah. But if it comes out one day that he is sus, I probably won't be surprised. But I hope not. I hope not. I just feel like at what point in the house would I feel anyone would be like, is this okay? I don't know. I don't know. On his side. Coming from him. Coming from him for sure. I'm not quite sure. I'm really not. It's not like it was like,
all instigated by JoJo. It was very 50-50 mutual. You know what I mean? It's like she was hanging all over him and big brother. It wasn't like her relationship with Tyler Cameron. It wasn't like that. Their relationship, I saw them, I sent brother and sister, BFF, and I bought it hook, line, and sinker no matter what. That was great. This is different. This is another level. Definitely another level. Interesting. So the show ends and Kath...
traveled to see JoJo for the end of the show. I guess they hadn't really been able to speak that much. Well, right, you're not allowed to... The rules of Big Brothers. You're not allowed to communicate with anyone from the outside. I think you can win phone calls or something. Maybe. I'm hazy on the rules, hazy on the details. But I do think you're sequestered for most of it. Right. Completely. So Kath makes this whole video and they say...
JoJo pitched it as going on another show and it's the lights, camera, action, it's a TV show, you know, kind of. Referring to Big Brother? Big Brother, yeah. To be like, you know, it's reality TV, things are gonna be said, seen, heard, whatever. Got it. But I'm in this relationship and maybe try to reassure them a little bit. So, cast under that impression is,
Cass watching the show probably like, what the fuck is going on? Yeah. So, yeah. But if I'm Cass, I'm calling up Jojo and being like, are you cheating on me right now? Right. Exactly. Like a little bit based on what we see, you know? So I think that Cass thought, I'll go see what the deal is. They hadn't really spoken.
And then on the morning show, JoJo said that it wasn't really the plan to see Kath at that point. Or maybe she didn't know if Kath was going to be at that party. And then she ended up being at the party. Because Kath in their video said, I got dumped at the wrap party of the show. Oh, God. And JoJo said...
She didn't expect Kath to be there. They had a conversation that JoJo did not think was going to happen in that setting, but it did. And started talking about feelings. And JoJo kind of just said, you know, I'm not...
I'm not in it anymore. Oh, no. And breaks up with Kath in that setting. Oh, no. So you see that and then you see Kath's video and you're like, oh, no. You're like, what the hell is going on here? They've been off the show for two seconds, JoJo and Chris. And JoJo immediately breaks up with Kath. I'll say this, though. If you're JoJo and you're on this show and you've just experienced something and it's been, what, weeks, months? Yeah, I forget exactly how much time there is.
in the house. But it's written all that time. She's experienced a lot, feels really almost traumatic. There's like a trauma bond, I think, almost here between these two. A billion percent. Yes. And also, you're working things out. You're not sure how you feel about certain things, certain people in your own life, whatever. You need a moment without the cameras alone to think, center yourself, and then move forward with figuring out how you're going to put back together slash pick up the pieces of your life after the show. You don't expect to come out of the show...
and see the one person that you need to have the most serious conversation with as soon as you do. So I'll be honest. I don't, I feel bad that that happened to Kath. I don't feel bad. I,
that that happened if Kath showed up to that party and JoJo had no idea that they were going to be there. Right. You know what I mean? Like, I think that that's not fair to JoJo. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. After seeing her go through so much. Right. I think there was maybe some discussions of when they were going to see each other. Like, who brought Kath in? The producers? Like, that's when I started feeling like, who's trying to stir up drama when they know that it's going to be a...
A very heavy conversation. Like, it's not like we're just breaking up. Like, yeah, you know, in the grand scheme of things, yeah, they broke up. But there's a lot more to it, you know? There absolutely is. That is interesting. It's been in that situation. But like you said, it's just got to a point where you're like, oh, no. Damn, okay. And yeah, I guess JoJo and Chris are doing their interviews. They're living La Vida Loca. Yeah, I wanted to find this quote from Kath.
I honestly feel so numbed out right now and so disoriented that I feel like the only thing I have to do to place this situation is to finally address it after two weeks of sitting back, watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that involved. Oof. I mean, well, she's on the show. Yeah. That bothers me a little bit. Kath did say that JoJo in the past had already asked to marry them.
Oh, that's tough. According to Kath, what the audience saw on the show between JoJo and Chris was laced in a lot of truth and the experience of watching it was unsettling and they felt betrayed. I would also feel betrayed. Yeah. Kat said, I was told that there are confused feelings there, which I mean, clearly we can see that. Yeah. Which I will say, I do give JoJo credit in that sense that
That's honest. She admitted right to it. I am certainly confused with what's
Going on right now. I totally agree with that. Because it takes, yeah, especially when she made, JoJo made such a big, you know, I don't want to say made such a big deal, but made a big spectacle of her sexuality at a certain point. Yeah. She really, you know, she's not so much doing it now, but when she first started talking about it, it was this big deal. And entering like the pop star phase of everything. Yeah.
So the quote from JoJo was initially I was told that the wrap party was something they didn't want to attend and then about an hour into the wrap party they decided they wanted to. So I don't think JoJo planned to break up with Kath in that setting. No. Kath wasn't supposed to be there and then Kath ended up being there and that's that. So I don't know but they've been posting on social still JoJo and Chris and look like they were playing tennis together this week.
Holy shit. So I don't know. I don't know. She's, she's, I moved on. Just an absolute wild ride. It really is. For them on, uh, on Celebrity Big Brother. So like I said, like you said, you know, Chris said a million times that just friends are just friends. Uh, so we'll see what continues and what happens out of those two. Uh, this week, a moving on, we'll go into BJ Novak. Then this week, uh,
People confirmed that BJ Novak is now dating Delaney Rowe. She's big on the internet. TikTok and Scram makes those funny sketches and skits and such. She calls herself the internet's actor. Yes. I am a major Delaney Rowe stan. I like every single one of her videos. She makes essentially parodies of...
like rom-coms. Yeah. And it's like unrealistic male-female friendships in a rom-com and she'll like act it out. But she's an excellent actress. Yeah. She's actually legitimately good actress. She has people, she has friends that she works with that are also really good. She makes some, she's very, uh,
good at and I believe now makes a lot of money because of this. Every time she gets an ad deal, she writes a skit about it and just like slips it in and she's the best like advertiser I've seen. Right. It's like it's seamless. It really isn't but the comments are always like I didn't even know this was an ad. This is amazing. You know, whatever. She's excellent and apparently she also is like a writer as well and so she and then she
is dipping her toes into the fashion world. She's getting invited to like Gucci shows and, you know, Miu Miu and whatever. So, um...
She is certainly not new on the scene, but I have to say, Fran, I'm shocked that BJ Novak admits to having a girlfriend. Right. Is that crazy to say? Yeah, yeah, right. Because of the whole thing, you know, with Mindy and whatever. And everyone knows that they're not actually together. They've made that very clear that they're not. Yeah. But I am just surprised to see this. I'm surprised. And so there's a picture that's been circulating of the two of them, but I guess...
This picture is from like the end of last year that they were seen at an event together and that like did spark some speculation. Interesting. But I guess recently... I only saw yesterday. No, it's because yesterday is when the articles were being posted and people wrote, social media users continue to speculate about their relationship in April with one user on X sharing that she learned their romance from TikTok and...
They were previously photographed together at the Standard in New York as well last year, last November. Interesting. That just seems to be where they're at. They have not commented or anything has been said about it. They don't really... There's really no confirmation of it besides the fact that they are, you know, sources are saying they're dating. Sources are saying. Well, that's...
sources are saying that they're dating I wouldn't be surprised about their person just I mean I mean don't know Delaney Rowe at all but based on how she how she writes these skits and how she acts how she does like I imagine she's very funny and very creative as is BJ Novak so I'm cool with that combo in that way you know definitely I laughed because I saw a lot of people making the comparison saying like this is so funny because so many of the characters that Delaney does are like
so similar to the kind of characters that Mindy Kaling writes in her stories. Exactly, yes. But the way that Mindy writes them is you know it's a trope but she makes it funny. This is like a very clear parody of the tropes. You know what I mean? But it is, again, I personally think she's very talented just based on what I
And so I wouldn't be surprised. And I love BJ Novak and he's an excellent writer. I read his book. He's got that thing on Apple TV or Amazon. I forget. He has another thing that he made that's really good. Oh my God. I think he, Noah, was he involved in Fleischman's in Trouble? Was BJ Novak involved in that? Did I make that up? I might have made that up. I might have made that up completely.
He was involved in a show that I was like, wow, I can't believe he's involved in the show. And it was just so good. Oh, yeah. The Premise, it was called. And it was its host, BJ Novak, works through timeless moral questions in unprecedented times and explores pressing topics like gun control, identity, social justice, sex, capitalism, revenge, love, fame, social media. But it was like skits. Jon Barenthal was in it. Okay, okay, okay. And it was on... Oh, yeah. Do you remember? I remember this. Oh, yeah.
And I can't... Oh, it was on Hulu. It was a Hulu show. So, but yeah, so he has this extent... You know, obviously, he did a lot of writing for The Office. Like, that's his big thing. His movie was really good. Super good. Vengeance. Yes, yes. Oh, that's the one that... Yeah, John Mayer was in it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, so I think... I like the couple. I gotta say, I like the couple. I will... It got a funny reaction online because people were like, what? But, you know...
After the initial like what? It's like okay. It's like all right cool. Yeah I don't know. Whatever. Like okay cool you know it's like yeah he is 45 she's 29. I mean it's not the craziest thing I've ever heard at this point in time but you know. If she were 30 I don't think I'd think anything of it. So it's like really? I mean we're splitting hairs on 29 and 30. And also again like I do think based on her skits and stuff like she's very quick.
Yeah. Quick-witted. Yeah. But I like that. They probably met on Raya. They probably did. People always talk about BJ Novak being on Raya. I went on a date one time with his brother. Really? Years and years ago. That's how that movie started was him like on Raya. No, I know. He really like I think is notoriously on Raya. Yeah, probably. I've not seen him on there. So I wouldn't be surprised if maybe they met on Raya. Looked just like him. Wait, you went out with his brother? Yes. Years and years ago. And I...
I got so drunk because I was so nervous and I don't remember the date at all you knew that it was his brother going into it yes and it was a date in New York and I know I asked about Mindy I know it like I know yeah I think we went to Spring Lounge oh
Oh, yeah. That's how drunk I was. I was like, let's just go to Spring Lounge. Spring Lounge, yeah. This was so many years ago. So many years ago. And we were better off friends. It was one of those, like, all right, well, we'll just- Are you friends? I mean, I have his number still probably, but no, we're not. You're not in communication these days? It's been so long, but I remember, that's the closest I've ever been to BJ Novak.
But I definitely asked, like, I definitely was drunk and asked, like, too many questions. It was certainly rude. Right, you, like, started to make the point where, like, you should start talking about the office. Literally. It has to be the most annoying thing as, like, a brother of a famous person. I think I asked that, too. I think I said, is it annoying that I'm asking about your, like, I feel like I have hazy memories of that as well. I think the answer was yes. It definitely is.
And he was like Yeah no literally I'd love to talk about anything else Yeah yeah Literally talk about it Again in this loud ass This loud ass dive bar Yeah He probably called up BJ Like yeah She's not on a date And she just Drunk ass girl Yeah Oh my god So so long ago Regardless though So no double dates For me and the No no But good for them Good for them With this pairing You know
Hope you're having fun. Yeah. Have a good time. Honestly, you know what I would like to come out of this for at the very least, if they're not dating or maybe they are or whatever, I would love them to like write a series together. Something. I would love them to collab on something. Yeah, that's fair. That would be amazing.

I'm chilled again. Oh my God. We watched it like a million times. At least. Once again, they put the Taylor music in there and it just hits every time. So it opens. The perfect songs too. Oh, it opens. It's Belly and Jeremiah, Daylight, whole thing. Absolutely. Cupcake and Around Town. God, they're just, you know, whatever. Greek letters. Yeah. What's that all about? And then it just, and then it cuts. Uh-huh. And it's,
Ghost of Conrad, must be around Christmas break. He's got a candy cane in his mouth. She's wearing a sweater. It looks snowy out. Literally all it takes is one word out of it. And then it cuts. Cuts to Loving Him is Red. I can't wait. I saw a lot of people kind of upset that they used daylight for Jeremiah, but at the same time, I think it does make sense that
And I think it makes sense in also the scale of just using a song from a lover in general. Yes. Because, you know...
of relationship, clearly Taylor thought that that was going to work out and then it didn't. Well, so Fran, if everybody wants a very in-depth conversation about this, listen to Taylor Watch later. I was going to say, we can touch on this on a very minimal scale and the deep dive can be with Tia. But I'll say with Daylight being used, because it really is all about the songs. They always use Taylor Swift songs in this show. Whether it's in the...
In the episodes Or in the trailer Taylor is heavily Like her music Is always in the show Yes And so every year Or every season That's coming out People get excited What songs we're gonna use Whatever Daylight Obviously on the Lover album There's a
When Tortured Poets Department was coming out last year, I forget if people remember, she was creating playlists of her old music all under different labels. And there was one called like Denial, one called like, you know, Acceptance. She was making all these plays. And most of the Lover album songs were in Denial. So when... So Jenny Han posted...
Somebody posted, like, Jenny Han is so diabolical for using Daylight with Jeremiah. And she reposted it because it was like, yeah, that's the point. Like, we're using it. So that's a little Swifty inside baseball. I love it. No, it's the perfect choice. Like, absolutely genius. And that song is so beautiful. Whether you're in love or not, that song is beautiful. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I just... It takes two seconds. I just really...
cannot understand anybody that would be team Jeremiah. I just don't get it. Grow up. I dabble. He's just so cute. The problem is the actor who plays Jeremiah is so cute. And he's so charming that I am sold. But I know he's bad.
I know he's bad. I watched that whole teaser and like all those scenes with Jeremiah are, of course, yes, they are adorable. They are very, very cute. But all it takes is that one turn from Comrade. You know, she's gone. She's done. She's done. She doesn't stand a chance. We all don't stand a chance. I actually was cracking up because I saw a TikTok from Madeline White and she, and it was on like her like other account and she was like, I'll never forget
Years ago Amazon You know Is that an Event or party For Amazon or something Trip I think it was maybe A trip for Amazon Yeah And they were like Oh we're gonna show you Part of this Like new show we have Coming out And Hermione Thaw was like Oh like I won't watch this Like this is clearly Like for a younger Right And she's like
And the way my body reacts now when I see anything that has to do with this show. Exactly. But it's just so true. It's such a good show. We were talking about it too that like...
Season one was good, fun, captivating, whatever. Season two was like award-winning television. Like it was just, it was so. I actually think a lot of people disagree with you. Really? Yeah. Oh, wow. I actually think maybe Rhea. I feel like Rhea liked the first season a lot more. I thought season two got like the glow up and it also had the more like serious tone.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It felt more like a TV show than just like a young adult show that I'm watching. Maybe that's more what I mean. I think that's fair. Yes. And so I'm very excited for season three because I do think that we've established this...
trying to think of the right word, expectation that it's, there will be heavy topics. There will be messy moments. There's going to, it's going to be real. It's, it's yes, there's the romance aspect of it. There's the turning around, the dramatic red Conrad, whatever. But I also think that like,
ultimately it's going to be a greater message into like what do you actually love versus lust versus being distracted or love bombed or whatever. I think that, you know, Jeremiah, well, those who read the book, I didn't read the books and now it's too late because I don't want to get it spoiled. I'll go back and read them. But so I know people know like things that happen. Well, that's the thing. That's like when you watch, when you watch,
a show that's in this format of like, you get the books and you get the three seasons and this is it and then it's coming to an end and you're just like, it's so much anticipation that the satisfaction is like,
the most euphoric feeling down your spine. It's more than ever. Yeah, right. Of course. Yes, it's happening. I know that like, I know how I'll feel because I could, the signs are there in season two about Jeremiah. Like, yeah, of course. It's, you would, when they introduced that idea of her going and like being with him and whatever, I was like, oh my God, has he been the one all along? Right, right. Well, yeah. Conrad's been, you know, dragging her along and whatever. But then,
You see those little moments, like I said, the love bombing, the neediness of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A little immaturity. And Conrad, of course, has a lot to go through as well. Exactly. So it's a whole thing. Conrad's got the older brother element. I am just so excited. Yeah, I'm just so, so excited. Although...
It's good that it's ending because how many times can she bounce back and forth between the brothers? No, you can't. You can't. You can't. It's like you get one. You get one bounce back. You get one. And it's already kind of twice. Right. Right. It's already gone. Yeah. It's like it's. Yeah. Listen.
So it's already gone already. Out on Cousins Beach is a different place. But I literally like, Rhi and I talked about it and because Jenny had did an interview and said that certain things people may be surprised by or whatever and I was like, if she fucking changes the way that this all ends, I will be... That'd be nuts. It would be nuts. It would be nuts. I don't think she would. I don't think she would. Because she's been pretty pure to the plot so far as far as people say. And honestly, she has. Very impressive, Kelly. I will say that you haven't like...
- Gone and spoiled in some way. - I know, and I really, I've avoided it like the plague. I don't look up anything about the show because when I saw season one, everyone said, "There's books, you gotta read the books." And I said, "Oh yeah, I'll get to it." And I kinda forgot. And then season two came around and I was just so enamored and I was like, "Well at this point, "I would like to see what's happening here. "I don't want it spoiled. "I don't wanna, if I read the books, it'll be different "and I'll start getting critical." That's another thing too. It's like I get way more critical of shows
And movies when I've already read the book, obviously. Completely. I think that's just par for the course. Part of it. Yeah. And I just, I love it so much that I don't ever want there to be a level of disappointment. And this is how I watched Normal People. I watched Normal People, the show, first. And then I went back and read the book. And it was 10 times, the book was 10 times better than the show. But it made me, like I flew through it. And I still loved the show. And then I'd watch it back again and still thought it was really good and whatever. But if I had read the book first, I don't think I would have liked it as much.
And there's a fun element that when after you watch it, when you read it, you like picture the people from the show as your, so it's like almost just watching in, like in your mind. Yeah. Getting to watch a whole nother show. Completely. With the same people. And I'm perfectly fine with, you know, and I don't have any, any casting bias. Like, so I'll be fine going back and reading it and picturing all these people. You know what I mean? Like however they're described, I'm sure is how it is. You know, I just, uh,
But wow, what a show. And I'm really pushing it on people lately too. I'm so excited. July 16th. Couldn't come faster. I really can't come fast enough now that we have the date of July 16th. I'm like selfishly I don't want to rush the summer because I love summer. Same. I never want to rush summer. But like get me to July 16th. I know. Get me to July 16th. June is whatever anyway. July is where it's at. Seriously. Okay. So there are – there was a rumor last week that Sophie Turner –
And her boyfriend, Peregrine... Peregrine... Peregrine Pearson... Had... Had broken up. Yeah, right.
Pennington, Pennington, Pearson, Shnuckigan. Sounds like a Harry Potter character. Yeah, it totally does. Well, there's the movie. It's like Miss Peregrine's School for Curious Children or something. I think that's what it's called. So PeopleMag posted this last week. They said, the 29-year-old actress sparked split rumors as fans noticed she unfollowed Pearson on Instagram. The duo has been dating for nearly two years. While there are still several photos of him on her Instagram profile, the most recent is a January post posted
and he's no longer tagged in any of them. Hmm. His birthday post from October is still on her feed as well, but his tag has been removed. Turner is also...
posted several cryptic posts on her Instagram stories lately, most of which have alluded to change. I know there was some discourse between the Jonas girlies. Oh yeah, how are the Jonas, what do the Jonas girls think? Well, there was something like a couple weeks ago where she posted on her story like album dropping soon or something and she was like gut like guzzling a bottle of rose. Sophie posted. Sophie posted. And everyone was like,
Like, Joe did just announce his solo album. Right. Full of dates coming out, you know. Right. But then, like, the Sophie, like, Sophie, people were like, no, she, like, her best friend has a new album that's out or something. I, you know, there's a lot of, there was a lot of discourse around it. I don't really know which one. Although, I fucking love Sophie Turner. So I just, like.
It really breaks my heart. I feel like a child of divorce and I want them to figure it out. Because I am on the Jonas Crilley side of TikTok where there is so much of like...
Not on Joe's side and much more Sophie's and that split and everything. And, but because of what, because of what I see. Yeah. Yeah. I see like the Joe's fans being like, okay, sorry. Like I know it didn't work out, but if I was Sophie and I heard this song that Joe just put out, like I'm calling him up. I'm,
I'm calling him up. Have you listened to this new song? No, I haven't listened to it. Oh my God. Let me just read you the lyrics. Okay. Read me the lyrics. Let me just read you the lyrics. While you put the lyrics up, I want to ask you a question. Yeah. Do you think that they are too far gone or can they come back and work it out? Like they were so, they were just really trashing each other. Like all of the, like at the dinner with Taylor Swift, like posting Mr. Perfectly Fine. None of them really said,
said anything. True, true, true. Like directly. I feel like it would have gotten... Yes, it definitely got messy in the press. Yes. With the kids. The stuff with the kids got so messy. 100%, that got messy. But whose fault is that? I think like...
And everyone online felt that it was like Joe's team that was trying to paint Sophie as a bad mom. And there's all these things which I do not know. I do not know. I wish I knew. How can you know? I love them all both so much. I would never want to throw any speculation on either side really. That's just a selfish thing. And that's big of you. Because I love them both. Yeah, and that's fine. Okay.
If I could sing, I'd sing it, but I'll just read them out loud like this is a long piece of poetry. Perfect. Perfect. Oh, let me get right. We got mindset. I've been working hard till the middle of the night, losing sleep and catching flights. Haven't I, darling? Haven't I, darling? You've been out most nights trying to get a little peace, even if it ain't with me. Haven't you, darling? That's all right, darling. Well, if you don't.
If he don't ever light your spark, remember, I know your heart by heart. Just remember, I will always remember. Remember, I will always remember. That's repeated again. Verse two, you and I have been down all these avenues before. Keep on going back and forth. Haven't we, baby? Oh, my baby. There's a long road left and a long time to live. You've got the sweetest loving to give. I know because I've tasted. I'd hate you to waste it. So if he ever don't light your spark, remember, I know your heart by heart.
Bridge holding you tight in the back of your car know that we tried but we didn't get far. I'm sorry. So sorry Well, you got to leave town. You got to live your life, baby Don't forget you can call me anytime. You're lonely so lonely anytime. You're lonely so lonely Well, I know our flames still bigger than the night because you'll always be on my mind Oh won't you darling look my legs my chills. Um Okay. Well
It sounds like the door is very much still open. How do you know that's not about another ex-girlfriend? I mean, look. You're right in my brain. It certainly could, but that would be wild. I'm upset with Joe. If that song is about someone else, I'm upset with Joe. I mean, this is his first album coming out of a marriage. It's definitely about her. It has to be about her. It has to be about her. And it sounds like the door is open. I think it's totally about her. Come home, babe. Wait, so he's not dating anyone? I think one of... He has it all. I think he's currently single right now.
Didn't he date a babysitter for a second? He was casually dating. There was a model in the mix. There was a... I forget what her name was. Could be about her. Maybe they had a falling out. That would be insane. Yeah, no. I think... I wasn't keeping up on his dating life. You don't write these lyrics about someone you dated for like six months to a year. No, you don't. Sorry, you just don't. Wow. And I will say there were like...
there were some rumors that like, you know, Sophie was that Sophie was out a lot. And there's like, well, right there. Exactly. That's why they try to say, Oh, I'm sorry. Not which totally a lot of I'm sorry. I'm hearing a lot of I'm sorry. Wow. Um, yes. Okay. If my, if my baby daddy is writing a song saying, if he doesn't light your spark. Yeah. I always will.
yeah, I know your heart by heart, then I'm going to call him up. I'm going to think I'm going to have a glass of wine and I'm going to say, well, he's hearing from me. Yeah. And then I'm having a phone conversation. It's just a very, it's a very sweet song. It's a very sweet song. And I very much look forward to listening to it with my ears. It is. Because, wow, the lyrics are beautiful. Yeah, they are. And the song's great. But I know. I know.
Which is why it's like, which is why like TikTok is such a crazy place. Like I said, the jar scrolls are like, oh my God, if I heard this song, like calling job immediately. I look at the comments are like, don't forget that he painted her as a bad mom. And I'm like, he did do that. He did do that. Allegedly. Yeah. We don't know. Okay. We don't know anything. We don't know if any of that's true.
I know, I know, I know. It's so funny. Wow, okay. And I just, yeah, I'm in. It just came from the heart, like, heart, ah, kills me. I knew because he had teased, he had been teasing this song. Okay. So there's been little pieces of it out. But then, like, hearing the whole thing, oof. So...
But here's the thing. Sophie just so happened to unfollow this boyfriend. That's what I'm saying. Two days before the song came out. The breakup is happening. The song is about to come out. Obviously she heard the song in advance. Are we going to pretend like Sophie didn't hear the song in advance? Who knows? He is her baby daddy. They talk. They talk all the time. I'm sure. Yeah. I would stake a lot.
on the fact that she had already heard that song and it's been rattling around her brain and the song comes out all of a sudden unfollow untag Peregrine who yeah you know you think they're on the level of like oh he listened to this new song
You don't think that Joe Jonas is saying, hey, hey, Soph. I don't know if maybe there's a warning. I just want to give you a warning about a song coming out. This song isn't about you. Or the album has been done for a while, and I know he said that he had been tweaking it a little in the last couple months when he delayed the release. I almost think it's like you send the whole thing in an email. Definitely.
Hey here's a zip file That's just also respectful That's a respectful thing Even if there wasn't That sweet song about Sophie In the album If he is writing at all About his experience Yeah And again I mean the whole fucking album Is called for people Who believe in love Exactly It would be It would be naive To think that they don't speak On a regular basis I think Yeah You know Yeah What do you think Nala?
No, I could see that because they have kids. That's the only reason why. Only reason why, yes. If they didn't have kids, I would maybe be like, that might be about somebody else. No, I think that's fair. I think that's fair. And we don't have to dwell on it longer than this, but I just can't wait to listen. Taylor Swift is sending her music that's inspired by people to the people before it comes out. Unless they're on good terms. No, but they're not. She doesn't have to. They weren't married. I don't even think it's married. I think kids is the only reason. Mm.
I think marriage is a whole nother level. Marriage too. If you got divorced, like you're done. Yeah, but if you're about to drag somebody, it's like you gotta give them a heads up, you know? Be like, hey listen. This is your husband, your wife. This is my art, this is my shit. Do you think Taylor would if she was married and divorced? If she got divorced? And then wrote an album, like she's gonna send it to them? Probably legally you might have. Like it might be like one of those things. I don't know.
I don't know. It might be like my publicist tells your publicist kind of thing. Yeah. If it was a divorce, no kids. But with the kids, I just can't imagine a world where they're not at least sending photos back and forth. Every divorced couple I know that has kids still texts photos of the kids back and forth. Right. Or there has to be something. I mean, unless it's really that sour that they communicate through their assistants or something. I don't know if you write a song like that if you're that sour. No, I don't either. I don't either. I don't know if you do. I don't think you're- I'm rooting for love.
Same. Like, sorry. Although, how do you come back from going out to dinner with Taylor Swift and talking shit about Joe? And she lived with her for a while, I remember. But maybe they're close.
I almost think maybe Joe would be like happy for that situation. Right. Like thankfully there's someone who has my back. People are going to be like, God, Fran, get off Joe's desk. Now I send their baby's presents. No, true. Now I send their baby's presents. Like she obviously does, Taylor does too have a relationship with Joe as well. So I'm sure that that, I think we can run it back. I think we can do it. I think, get them back. Let me say this. Get them back. I think there is,
I think there's room. I think there's room. I think there's room for a discussion. I think there is room for at least a conversation. And who knows what will happen when the whole album comes out. Who knows? How everyone feels. But the song is beautiful. Yes, it is. Okay. My God, this is going to be a three-hour episode. Buckle up, everybody. Isn't it always? We're too chatty. We're so chatty. Every now and then I'm like, oh, Kelly will come on. It would be so easy. It's like, no, we'll talk for nine hours. Love the talk. Okay, Travis Kelsey allegedly unfollows
Ryan Reynolds. This is my thing with the whole unfollow follow headlines that always come out. Who can prove that he was following him already? Great question, Fran. And also, why are we still paying attention to who's following and unfollowing who? I don't care. I don't care about that. The whole last story was about Sophie Turner unfollowing her boyfriend. Wait, what was? In the context of... What we quite literally just talked about. No, no, no, Fran.
Everybody So actually we structured That whole last topic About No but there was More There was more to that There was the untagged photos Yeah yeah yeah That is more damning And this is a boyfriend too Also if someone's blocked It automatically Untags them Exactly So that's That's also very different Like No no no
I agree about that. And this is like a friendship level. Friendship unfollows. Right. Right. Okay. How close were Travis and Ryan Reynolds in the first place? They're only friends through Taylor, through Blake. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, it's basically two degrees of separation. However, I just can't, I can't find a care in the world to go back and forth on thinking of whether or not Travis Kelsey is sitting in his house and
and thinking, huh, I'm going to unfollow Ryan and that'll really send him a message. Yeah, right. And then it'd spark a media storm. If I know anything about Travis Kelsey, Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, is that they don't need or want a media storm. They're in enough as it is. And Fran, I'm going to tell you something right now. You know what this smells like? I bet Travis is pretty pissed about this. And I said this exact same thing on Taylor Watch. To me, this smells like Justin Baldoni PR. Oh.
I'm not even kidding. Because if Travis is unfollowing Ryan, then it sparks up the conversation again of Blake and Taylor aren't friends anymore. Travis has Taylor's back because they're bad people. Rumor Taylor is going to be subpoenaed. Just so happens, right, she's being subpoenaed. Just so happens that they're at the Time Gala two days ago. All of a sudden, Travis is unfollowing them. It's headline news. Get them that wonderful speech that Blake gave on behalf of her mother who was at the Time Gala. Which, you know.
I don't want to talk about that, but it had a lot of mixed reactions. It had a lot of mixed reactions. But then the hate, she's already getting shit on nonstop for one thing or another. It's enough at this point. I will say I actually really got angry. I saw a Page Six article that was like, fans tear apart Blake Lively for her outfit for a simple favor. And it was literally just because like,
Her body makeup from her arm got a little bit on her dress. Her arm, the dress was a little tight under her armpits. And they were saying that she looked gross because it was like her arm- Which- Fat, which is-
I was like, okay, this is, come on, people. It's ridiculous. That's insane. I saw a couple days before, or when the premiere was happening, the comments were flooded with positivity at first. So that's what I'm saying. I don't trust bots on the internet. I don't trust the comments. It gets to a point where it's enough. Enough is enough. For sure. No, and that was something that was really interesting. And I do wonder if, I know like Travis and Jason are kind of,
Doing their own schedule When it comes to New Heights In the off season It's like sometimes Some weeks they do an episode Sometimes maybe they skip I'm curious to see If this would be something That they would address Because sometimes they do Yeah Like bogus headlines They'll be like That's bogus Yes So I wonder if he would I wonder that too Which would be interesting The only reason I would think Maybe no Is because then it Oh
opens up the conversation even more about the Blake friendship and whatever. But people wrote like last week being like, Blake and Taylor are fine, which again, everyone fucking knows that. Like, we don't know anything that's going on in these people's lives for real. We only know what we've seen headlines about and it's a lot of bullshit, I think. And it's just, if your friend is going through some shit,
You're not just like abandoning your friend. Taylor is the godmother of three of her children. Exactly. And then, yeah, yeah. We had a long debate about that. Yes, I heard about the debate. I said, read that debate. I said that it would have to be all or nothing because I think like you can't have one kid have Taylor Swift and then the other's not. That's what I said, except their son doesn't have it. But it's like all the girls get Taylor Swift. Sure, that's fine. I think that's lovely. Who cares? What if that son loves Taylor Swift? Well, I'm betting.
The sun gets fucking Hugh Jackman. That's such a fall off. That's such a fall off. Oh my God. So not a moment actually. They'd rather have Hugh Jackman. I don't know if I'm here for the Hugh slander. Yeah. Seriously. Hugh's more available to be. Well, I want Hugh and Taylor. You can have both. We can have both. Yeah. Why are we limiting ourselves? Right. No, for sure. For sure. Regardless though. Anyway, no. I don't think that their friendship is in jeopardy. I'm sure the subpoena stuff, the justice stuff, all that, whatever. I'm sure that has caused.
Yeah, for sure. ...in the relationship, positive or negative, whatever is going on. Again, we know nothing going on behind closed doors. However, I think that the onslaught...
towards them still is exhausting. And I think this is just another added to the list of things to make the lively Reynolds family look bad. We're going to make up some shit like Travis unfollowed Ryan and it's going to stem into this bullshit about them. Like that's how I've seen it proposed. You know what I mean? It's not like, like it's like Travis unfollows Ryan amidst Blake and Taylor friendship drama. Like it's not like. Right, right, right, right.
Travis and Ryan have beef. You know what I'm saying? Like it all stems to that. That's the only reason why it's making headlines because people click it because they're like, oh, it's because of the Blake and Justin stuff. And I'm like, I just don't believe that. And I said on Taylor Watch, like if one day it all comes out that, yeah, he did unfollow him because they're shitty people and bad friends and they did all this fucked up shit and whatever. Fine, I'll take it all back. I just in my guts, I just don't believe it. I don't believe it.
To play devil's advocate, wouldn't it be such an easy save and cause so much... Wouldn't it really ease all the headache if Travis just hit him with that follow? 100%. Would love for that to happen right now. And it's like...
Like if like he was like, talk about it. Oh shit. Like, whoops. Didn't mean to follow. Maybe I didn't even follow him to begin with, but I should be following him. Follow. That'd be amazing. Would love it. Would love that. Really Fran. What I want is for like the headlines to shut the fuck up. I feel like I just see, that's fair. I see so many and it's not like, you know, I'll see, you know, you see a graphic, you see a conversation, you see a tweet, whatever. It's the amount of,
that then write a whole ass blog about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, Hubs asked me yesterday. He was like, are you going to talk about that? And I said, no, I won't. I won't do it. I will not do it. I won't put it. Someone else can take it for barcelsports.com. I'm not going to add to the flurry of headlines we already have. Right, right, right. Travis unfollowed Ryan Reynolds. I'm like, I already think it's fake. I'm not going to then write a fucking blog about it. It's hilarious to think that he would do that without...
Taylor Noah. Like, that would be the dumbest thing of all time. Agreed. Right. It's like... I really feel like we could just be in a world... Babe, did you unfollow Ryan? Yeah. Like, why would you do that? Right. Or, like, we could really be in a world where he's like, I...
Ryan great guy I must not have ever followed him exactly you know also this is Instagram these people live in the real world as well I feel like people have such a they think Instagram is the center of the universe and it really is not for these people yeah Instagram is not the center of Ryan Reynolds world yeah or Travis Hale's world yeah yeah yeah no very true very true um okay I hate that are any of those people going to the Met Gala do you know
Blake is not going this year, I think. She said she's not going. Taylor and Travis, no word. There's always no word on her. Last year, remember, they reported that she was. We were thinking no just because she's not gone to anything. She wasn't there last year, no. But they had reported the week of that she was going for a second, and then they were like, actually no. That's another. I think it's a no. It's clickbait. I think it's no, too, because she hasn't been seen since the Grammys. Yeah.
I mean, the Met Gala could be it. It would also then be like their first public red carpet together. So that would be a huge deal. And I just don't think that it doesn't seem like it's trending that way. Yeah. It'd be cool. Yeah. But I don't get my hopes up. Yeah. That's so fair. They don't make it easy to buy concert tickets these days. You got to sign up for the presale. Get in the queue. And by the time you get through, the best seats are probably already gone. Going to a concert should be about the show itself, not waiting in a virtual line.

Normal topics, but this is so crazy to me. And honestly, Dave really kicked off this whole conversation because he was watching it live and posted it all out there. But Sunday morning, CBS, they do an interview on Bill. He's promoting his new book. He's sitting in his chair. It's the most uncomfortable interview ever. He's in his sweatshirt with holes in it. And his girlfriend, Jordan, is off to the side.
And there is a moment where he, Bill is asked, you know, about his relationship and where they met. And Jordan's off the side. She goes, we're not talking about this. And like the camera pans to her. And it's very awkward. Then he asks about like Jordan's Instagram post, these pictures of them on the beach. And yes,
Bill looks like this man is speaking a different language to him. Like, the English language is not making any sense to Bill in that moment. The words are not combining. I don't know what's happening. He has no response. I think Dave and I were saying, like, it seemed like he didn't know those were public. Right, right, right. In his mind, those were just like... Dave was saying he was like, you've seen those pictures? Like, how have you seen them? Yeah, yeah. Like, not knowing they were on social media. But, like...
I'm sorry, I know Bill is an older guy, but he is surrounded by younger people where it's not like anybody wouldn't say...
Like, are they that afraid to say something to him? Like, Bill has children that are grown adults. He also, he's also not, like, off, like, yes, he's not on an Instagram or whatever. Yeah, I don't think this girl is, like, pulling the wool over his eyes and, like, taking advantage of him as an old man. That's what people are saying. No, I know, I saw that. It does kind of seem like that, though. So, well, okay, so wait, finish the recap because I have thoughts. But in what way, though? Because truly, like...
I mean, unless they're afraid of her or afraid of him or they don't want to stir the pot or whatever. Or maybe they don't have a good relationship right now. I don't know. I always thought that it was fine. But maybe since he started dating this younger girl, maybe things are on the rocks. With his kids, you mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just can't imagine that his daughter wouldn't call him to be like, Dad, what's going on here? What is Jordan posting on Instagram? It could be for sure. I don't know. It could be that. Here's what I'll say. I will say this in...
in Jordan's defense actually which is not somebody I thought I'd be defending but from what we've seen of her is that she is she essentially works for Bill Belichick like she's basically his personal assistant slash girlfriend she's running like Bill Belichick Enterprises now apparently is like she's doing all his personal business stuff she literally is but she and she's helped
him with like there was that that clip of her them at UNC and she's got her outfit on she's going back and forth with the mics they're filming like a documentary of him or they're filming something of him and she's trying to make sure that his audio is good like it's she's doing a lot of things that I think that he just doesn't have the time or capacity to do or care about right and he doesn't trust a lot of people I'm sure literally hire an assistant hire
an assistant. Then you just get an assistant. That doesn't mean you have to date your assistant. I totally agree. And the dating part of it all, I'm not quite sure what that all is. But I also think that she's carving out a space for herself in his life. Or just for herself. Or for herself. Period. Right. Which is probably more likely. But
In the interview situation, I do think the way that that interviewer was asking Bill these questions was almost like he was making fun of him to his face. And I felt that tone from that interviewer. You think? Yes. And when Jordan stepped in and said, we're not talking about this, like he was almost talking to him being like, Bill –
these Instagram pictures? No, but she only said that when he asked about how they met. Yeah. But that was after. He had asked, I think he asked about Instagram first. Yeah, he did. And then he asked about, right, so she was like, enough. Also, let me tell you guys. She's like, we're talking about football. We're not fucking talking about this. So I kind of understood her being like, this is an interview of Bill and his life and his career. But he can speak up for himself. True, he can. But that's where I'm wondering, like,
That's why people think it's fucking elder abuse. They're like, he... Right. Big guy was like, is this like a conservative shit? He was continuing to answer that question. You see, of Alzheimer's or something. She's stepping in and taking over. For some reason, I just don't think... I just don't think it... I don't know why I don't think it, but normally I would in this scenario. Because the report is that this interview was a disaster. You know that they...
that up big time. So the order that we didn't watch it probably isn't when it happened. TMZ reported that like it was she walked off multiple times. I saw that she like wanted him to like walk off with her. Yes. Yeah, I saw that. I saw that.
So the headline was that she was a nightmare during the interview to the point where she stormed out of the room and delayed shooting for 30 minutes. Belichick agreed to do a sit down for CBS Mornings to promote his new book, The Art of Winning, but it turned into an LPR wise blah, blah, blah. We're told outside of that baffling moment that made the final edit, there were numerous other instances of Hudson butting in
Even when the legendary coach was answering questions about football, she would stop and correct him. Our sources say Belichick only arrived at the interview with Hudson. No one from his publishing company, UNC, or any other rep was with him, which was a bit of a head-scratcher to CBS producers on set. At one point in the Q&A, Hudson got so heated, she stood up and walked out and wanted Bebe to follow. It's unclear if coach agreed, but the blow-up delayed the whole interview for about a half hour.
We're told that once things calmed down, Tony, who did the interview, was spooked by the whole encounter, elected to wrap up things quickly and end the awkward experience. We're told the higher-ups at CBS News and Sports had to get involved to figure out how to salvage it, and while a second interview was scheduled to go down at a later time, it was ultimately scrapped. So it's bizarre. It's bizarre for sure. Showing up without anybody else. She's running his life, every element of his business now, his life, which like...
It's concerning. Is not, you know, church and state. Church and state. Yeah, church and state for sure. It's like, I want to feel, my experience in life tells me to be concerned about someone like this. But my gut. It's icky. It's icky for sure. It's, however you slice it, it's definitely icky for sure. But if you're thinking about it in the way of like,
Yes, she's working for him clearly. She is going out of her way to make sure that he looks as good as possible in an interview like that. I could see her kind of getting like a like, oh, look, I'm important on this, on that. And making sure that like everything he says and does can't be twisted. Like say he's spitting out football facts and he says like, yeah, and we're at this game or whatever. And she jumps in is like, actually, it was this. Yeah.
That was probably how it is in his book. So that's like a regular publicist would probably do those things. Yeah. But because she's his girlfriend and she's there and clearly I'm positive that these people based on this whatever insider said she was a nightmare the whole time. I feel like
they probably didn't like her or respect her when she showed up anyway. She already has this stink on her as his quote unquote girlfriend, whatever the fuck. I think that she's a little big for her britches and I also think that people don't respect her at all and I think that she's kind of now just kind of lashing out a little bit about that. I think ultimately she's not trying to make Bill look bad or anything, but it's certainly, she is, now she is. Single-handedly, she has everyone talking about
- For sure. - Yeah, and also sources-- - She didn't say anything. - Right. - Sources were saying that she, that UNC did not like how this whole interview went down. - Of course not, of course not. - Like it's jeopardizing his job. - Definitely. - So I don't know. - But I don't know, I'm just, but I am curious really about, like again, I don't approve, or you know, who cares if I approve, but it's more of like a, it's not something I would do. It's certainly not something I'm thinking is normal or anything like that, but I do think that there's a little bit of blame
on CBS on that guy Tony for how he was talking to Bill because I watched that clip and I said he's patronizing Bill I swear I really feel it like I felt like he was talking to him like come on Bill kind of fair
Fair, but when his girlfriend's right in front of his face, he was disrespecting Jordan to her face by way of Bill. And that, to me, is rude. Yeah, but in one way, you talk about those pictures in not a joking way. But you could say it in a lighthearted way. I think that's what he was trying to do. It's so ridiculous. I don't know. It felt like he was dripping. I don't know. You're like, hey, Bill, like...
Looks like you're really working on your yoga these days. Like, I don't know. Like, there's no, I don't know. It's so ridiculous. Anyway, she posted a whole statement on Instagram. Oh, I missed this. Well, she didn't post a statement. Okay, I missed this. She said statement to come. Noah, can you actually check if she has posted a statement yet? Yeah, that's a great. It may have dropped by now. I would love it if it did. When she posted it on Instagram, she used, look what you made me do.
- On the post. - Obsessed with that. Listen, I don't dislike this girl unless it comes out that she's literally ruining Bill Belichick's life. - Why does her name on Instagram, it's spelled Jord, but the O in her is capitalized in Jordan. - It's probably a zero. - The second O. - Maybe it's a zero. - No, it's an O. It's just a capitalized O. - Maybe just to emphasize that her name is spelled with the-- - Jordan? - Jordan. - Jordan. - Her name is J-O-R-D-O-N. - Jordan. - That's how she spells it. - Jordan.
I'm not seeing anything. She posted a screenshot of an email from Bill to multiple people from earlier this month talking about doing press for the book. It was a long email. Doing press for the book and how all the news outlets are taking an excerpt of him quote talking about I fucked up about whatever topic it was. Him admitting to a mistake was in part of the book. And
He's like, you know, we knew this is what they were going to focus on and there's so many other parts of the book that we should be talking about and really saying that's not what he wants to focus the book on and all these other things. And it really just seemed like he is going to be doing press for this book, but they want to steer it in one direction and keep it on more of the positives than the negatives and have that be...
The plan for, you know, interviews for the book. For the press. They have certain things planned, yes. And then the second slide is a screenshot of her camera roll of a 35-minute video that was recorded. You can't really see what the video is. It's just that it's 35 minutes. Uh-huh. Obsessed with this. And the caption was, full statement to come later today. I can't fucking wait.
Fran, another thing that- So by the time people are listening to this, you probably already have the full statement. Hopefully the statement is out and we have to know. But here is another thing I just thought of while you're talking about that. If she's acting as his PR person in these scenarios or whatever, and especially if we're talking about how there needs to be a certain tone around, or they would like there to be a certain tone around the book, it's like a biography, right? It's about his life. Yeah, yeah, it's, yeah. I think, or I would think, that going into an interview like that
off the table are questions about the relationship. And maybe that is what, like maybe she was like, don't ask questions about us. Look, 100%. And the first five, you know, 15 minutes in a row of asking questions about Jordan and making fun of him. Like I really, really felt like that guy was making fun of Bill to his face. Which he fucking deserves. Like he's dating a fucking 20 year old. Wow. It's crazy. Look how the mighty have fallen in his Patriots jersey. His Patriots jersey.
sweatshirt and everything on there. I mean, you can't like not acknowledge how we stick you on there. No, I will say, on the side of the interviewer, because, yes. Like people should be made fun of for things like this. Yes, yes.
On the side of the interviewer. Otherwise we'll have 75-year-olds dating 20-year-olds. He would get destroyed if he did not bring it up in any sense. And yes, there are some people that you can get away with like, oh, they're coming in. They've asked politely if you don't talk about their relationship. Okay, fine. But when that person is in the room with you and the only person and she's right there and clearly you guys are together and it's a topic like he has to, I think, at least...
to ask. Sure. Now it backfired. Sure. Obviously. Yes. And they did not like that and they don't want to talk about it. But you kind of, I don't know, Bill, that's just the type of person Bill is. Bill is a football guy. He is obviously a celebrity, but he would denounce that fact and would not acknowledge that at all. So in his mind, he's like, I wrote a book and I'm going to talk about the book. Yeah.
Yeah, he's not good for press, by the way. No, he's terrible. He doesn't want to talk about anything. I mean, even the questions about Robert Kraft was uncomfortable. And that's a fair question, you know? Like, it's a fair question. It completely is. There's just certain things that he's going to be asked. He's an awkward dude. That he's like, wants to stay private. I don't want to talk about that. Okay, then you're going to have some issues trying to do press for this book. But that leads me to the ultimate question. Why is Bill out here doing press for this book?
in person. Like, he can't just... I think the Bill Belichick biography sells just fine on its own. Right, the book speaks for itself, for sure. Who needs to... We don't need to see Bill in his holey sweatshirt, being him. Like, again, it seems like they... She got him there, you know, got him out of bed, said, let's go. We gotta get this done. I promise CBS Morning Show, don't worry. They're not gonna ask about our relationship. They just wanna know about football and the book. And they sat down in the first...
15 minutes of the whole thing was, well, Jordan's here with you and what about these photos of you guys on the beach? And what about your relationship? A lot of speculation. And then you brought her to the award show. It's just like, it's annoying, I'm sure, if you're a 24-year-old girl who just wants to make sure that you're super famous. How much is Bill paying you? Of course, I mean, yes, I'm sure she, her whole life is paid for. No, I'm saying you. Oh, me.
A lot. A lot of money. A direct deposit right before I got here. Listen, I'm sure you wouldn't have expected me to have this take because normally I'm the first person to shit on an older man dating a younger girl, 100%. But I just feel bad for this girl now getting dragged for what I think is probably doing her job. You have to also acknowledge that she's... Like, it's so public that they're together because of her. She's the one posting everything about them. So then when it's brought up, it's like...
Bill really doesn't. Yeah, sorry. Like Bill can't be like Matt respect my private life. Well, then tell your girlfriend not to post pictures of us. You guys on the beach like making yourself public. I don't know. I, I, I do understand a little bit where you're coming from, Kelly. I think that's fair. Yeah. But at the same time, we have to remember that this is an 80 year old. Yes. Dating a 24 year old. And no, I'm sorry. Nothing is right about that.
I agree with that completely. There's still something gross about the whole thing. But this specific instance, I'm like, I don't know. That's what I'm saying. If you're in that relationship, part of it is people are going to question you and you have to be okay with that. For sure. You can't play this like, I'm not talking about my relationship. No, sorry, you're dating somebody that's 80 years old. Yeah. What? Yeah.
It's a very strange situation. And again, I do not approve of an 80-year-old man dating a 24-year-old girl. I think that's fucking insane. But it's more of like... I think more of... It's weird more on her part than his, obviously. Of course an 80-year-old man wants a hot young thing. I don't know about that. But what is her... Well, it's perverted, obviously, for him. But for her, you start thinking about the, oh, well, he's got the money, he's got this, he's got that, the fame, whatever. What does she get out of the whole situation? But what I am wondering is this like...
yeah, maybe she's his girlfriend, but like, what does that entail? They hang out? They, have we ever seen them like kiss? Like, I'm not saying that that's not true, but is she more working for him than his girlfriend? And it will be eventually find that out one day, which will also be weird. But again, I just, I don't know the,
The way that interviewer I'm not lifting my employee In the air On my feet in the beach No no We're definitely not doing that It's just Yeah I don't know It just felt It felt mean spirited From the interviewer And I understand That you're right Completely It has to be brought up You have to be okay With it being brought up At least in the Just write a very Scripted answer Right
And move on. And just do that. Like you're not going to get away with no comment. Yeah. Just be like, yeah, we've been dating. It's been going great. That's all I have to say about it. I wonder if in Jordan's 35 minute video that she's going to reveal to all of us, if maybe they asked several questions about their relationship that were all fine and then like kept asking. And then she was like, enough's enough. You know? I don't know. I just, I want to hear both sides. I want to hear both sides. But yes, I think everyone can agree that
A 24 year old and an 80 year old should not be dating. Yeah. That is a weird fucking really. It's weird as fuck. No it's. She can work for him for sure. She comes out tomorrow and says I was never actually his girlfriend. I've been working for him the whole time. I'd be like cool. It just gives me a whole other like weird feeling is it's not. It's not like he is trying to word this the right way.
He has children and grandchildren. He has a family. He has a family. Yes. He's not this lonely old man that doesn't have anybody around him. Where's Linda? I don't know. What's the word we're talking about? I miss her. I know.
She was great. What the hell happened there? What happened there? I don't know. Really, what happened there? I don't know. He might just be so, like, what if Bill Belichick's just an asshole? Like, what if he's just super, I mean, he, what if Bill Belichick is just an asshole? But even to, even to like, Linda or,
or Jordan or his family. What if not only as a coach but in life he's a dick? I'm just looking at this picture from the end of life. She dresses as a fucking mermaid. But the crazy thing is that there's a comment from Bill Belichick that goes, my biggest catch, exclamation point. You did not write that. So is she just commenting from his account? Yes, probably. Maybe. I don't know. She probably commented that herself from his name. Probably. Probably.
But it's like, you know, I respect the hustle to a certain amount or to a certain extent. But it's like and it's funny, obviously. But yeah, I need to know. No, I need to know everything about that CBS thing. Because the fact that what they aired was that Dave said that so bad. Yeah, that was bad. Dave said that Tony from CBS said he would go on part of my take. Interesting. OK, interesting.
Again I would love to hear from Tony I would love to hear from Tony were you making fun of Bill to his face with Jordan right there as well Like I just The tone I'm telling you Oh man alright last topic Last topic Which we'll be brief I promise The Kappa Carter tour has kicked off Which I am so excited about I am too The first video I saw was a clip of Beyonce Singing the national anthem I said oh
My God. I have purposefully avoided... I've seen a couple of pictures. Yeah. But I've avoided the performances. I'm trying not to look a lot too. Because we're going so soon. Like, it's only in a couple weeks. And I... I've seen pictures, no videos. That's... Yeah, same. Besides National Anthem. Besides National Anthem. Which, that is...
I'll cry my eyes out for sure. But I'm so excited for Cowboy Carter. I think it's going to be great. I was not a, I was very publicly not a fan of Cowboy Carter when it came out. Not like a hater, but I wasn't like a fan. Nothing tops Lemonade for me. So it's really hard for me to get into any of her other, it was such a good, it was my favorite. So whatever. Then,
Then I'm with my friends. They're all major Beyonce fans. I'm a big fan. I've never been to a Beyonce concert. I was like, you know what? Let's go. Let's go to Cowboy Carter. I'm at life. Let's break it down. I will put on my cowboy boots. I will put on my fringe jacket and a cowboy hat and let's break it the fuck down. Bucking, bucking, bucking. I'll do it. I'll do it all day. And I'm excited.
I'm so excited as well. Like a mechanical bull. It's going to be so good. I'm ready. Um,
Are you going with friends? Are you going with a crew? Yes Yay I'm going with A bunch of the girls are going But my seat specifically Are me and Lauren Who literally is like The biggest Beyonce fan Oh yay And fucking loves Cowboy Carter And we've been talking Like we've been talking For a Since the album came out We've been saying If she tours with this album We will absolutely be there Hell yeah Cause I love this album Noah you gotta go
- Yeah, you're a huge fan. Why aren't you going? Of "Catboy Carter" specifically. - Yeah. - Yeah. - He loves "Catboy Carter." - Love "Catboy Carter." I've been, I mean, that's like my top Spotify reps. - Then you have to go. - No, no, I do wanna go. I'm bad at committing to things. Even when the tickets go on sale, I'm like, well, I don't know what I'll be doing then.
- Well I say, well I'm sorry I can't do anything that day, I'm going to Beyonce. I've been saying that for months. - I'm going to Kendrick and SZA on a week from Thursday at MetLife's. - Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I saw that. - That's gonna be amazing. - Yeah. MetLife like concerts is just like, it's an event, you know? - Yeah. - It is. - But I do wanna go. So maybe I'll get like a cowboy fit and-- - Oh my god. - You gotta do it. - You have to get-- - She's got like what, five shows at MetLife? - It is funny because it's like-- - Yeah, I think maybe, yeah, maybe more, six maybe? - Yeah.
I think I don't know if I could find any guy friends that would be like, yeah, let's go to Beyonce. Like, so I wish we had an extra ticket. I'd bring you with my with my girls and gays. Talk to Gia.
Why is she trying to go? You can go with Gia's friends. They want to go. Oh, yeah. Is she? Oh, yeah. She doesn't have tickets yet. I don't think she has tickets. She wants to go. Yeah. I'll talk to some people. She wants to go. And hey, or I just go by myself in a cowboy suit. And you just honestly go around. Like a mechanic of a bull. Nothing would be funnier than like a solo shot of you in a full cowboy outfit in front of like some sort of photo op at
MetLife. Like some sort of photo backdrop. Yes. Like a step and repeat for like fans. Yes. Of you just at Cowboy Carter. Like there's so many people that go to MetLife. Like there have to be some Chixie Office fans. Definitely. So maybe if I go alone, we'll meet up. No, are you looking for a date maybe? Cowboy Carter? If anyone wants to go to Cowboy Carter with me at MetLife.
You're going to go. And now you're going to Beyonce. And that's how it's done. Oh, if anybody wants to go to Cowboy Carter with me, I'll take them. That's how it's done. That's how it's done. Oh, man. Or maybe it's Noah buys two tickets and brings a lucky listener. I'll buy two tickets. Well, actually, are they really like, I'm sure they're insane.
They're not They're not that bad They're not right now Not as bad as you think There's a lot of shows And I think that's helped How many are They're expensive But they're not I think five or six I actually think that there's Is it 21 to three It's like all Memorial Day weekends She's doing more than Taylor did For the Aeros tour at MetLife Well there were separate weekends How many did Taylor do No Taylor only did three Yeah but there was weekend At MetLife
Oh, yeah. Yeah, she only did three. She didn't start adding extra... Like, she probably could have done three more, but she didn't start doing extra shows until the next year, which we added on for, like, London and stuff. Yeah, Noah saw...
a video of Blue Ivy he was like it looked like she's been practicing well I was like she's been she improves she crushes it well she did you not see the video the before and after for her on renaissance tour like her first day starting and her last day she like is she's a professional dancer now like she's so good she's only 13 so I mean exactly my god let the girl practice I said how do they have time for homework yeah these kids no I was like where are they going to school seriously like I doubt they're how old is the other one
- Rumi is what? - Her other kids, Rumi and-- - And A? - That's insane that she's-- - How old is she? - Blue Ivy's 13, you said, right? - Yeah, yeah. - So then they're probably like 10. - Are they also gonna be at every show? - Blue Ivy is. - How are you gonna not feel gypped if Rumi's not, like you go to New York and you're like, "What the fuck?" - Oh true, and Rumi's not there. - Rumi's only seven.
Oh my god, she's so young. She's so cute. She's so adorable. And they were out there and there were certain parts that they were pulled on there. And that's really sweet that she's like, oh, big sis. Like mom, girl thing. Oh, I'm so excited. Will she bring out Miley ever at any show? I would love for it to be Miley. That would be insane. Truly, one could only dream. Man, that would be, because I love. That was the best song. It's the best song. Yeah, it is. Truly, it would be amazing. But I'm so excited for the tour. Everything looked great. The costume.
Costumes look fantastic. She looks amazing, obviously. I saw, I think Blue Ivy was wearing like an outfit that was an homage to like a Destiny Childs fit that Beyonce had worn in like the early 2000s. Chills again. Chills again. I love that. Oh, wow. I can't wait. Wow. I can't wait. It's going to be amazing. So we're excited for that and excited to see all the content from that because now it's officially kicked off. It's begun. Exactly. Maybe people, well, probably not. I think only the Swifties are so crazy to do the live streams. Oh,
Oh, I've already smacked you. The Bayhive is doing a live stream? They'll stream for sure. I feel like Bayhive would be more like in the moment, you know? Yeah. Oh, good. Well, I'll pay attention. No, I thought I'm answering as a married woman, Rhea. Right, right, exactly. No, I won't do that. Keep calling in. We'll answer your questions on Wednesdays during the Pop Corner. Let's hear the first voicemail.
Hi, Ria and Fran. It's Jessica from Lexington, Kentucky. Ria, I hope you're enjoying your beautiful wedding weekend. And I'm just calling because I've been seeing so much about the Lifetime Tour by Katy Perry. And
I just really wanted to get your all's thoughts opinions on it personally I think after seeing something that the heirs to her it's really hard to compete with that and it just seems like she's not prepared she doesn't have the stamina or the choreography but her songs are so good she could do so much better would love to hear your all's opinion hope you enjoyed your wedding weekend and love the pod gets me through every day bye guys thank you so much um
I have, Fran, the problem is I have so much to say about this, about the Katy Perry lifetimes. The videos are shocking. How to navigate this question. Well, so I had two takes on this. Yeah, go ahead. You start. I'll start for you because I'll take the brunt if you need. First of all, it's an absolute disaster, okay? It is, there is, I've never seen a worse production put on in the history of concerts than
I want to blame Katy Perry because I do think she puts her foot in her mouth a lot and she does a lot of things that are shitty. And, you know, the Blue Origin thing just happened and she's working with Dr. Luke and she's, you know, buying up houses from the elderly, like whatever. Okay. But I really am kind of starting to fall in the line of like, is she in the middle of a humiliation ritual? And she's like forced to do this because what the hell? Her team is really like lightsaber thing.
- Yes. - Her team is really letting her down. - It's almost like she's putting on this concert for the Roblox generation. I said this on Tail Watch, she went to the Travis Scott School of Concerts and is just now doing lights and AI and a bunch of bullshit. Even her wigs are bad. Everything is bad. - And she does just look completely out of breath. - Absolutely, it's just bad. So I think it's one of two things. I think either she has to do this 'cause she's broke,
And she made a deal and she's supposed to sell out a certain amount. Kind of like my favorite show, The Idol. Or...
She's surrounded by yes men to the point that they will not even tell her when she's doing something ridiculous. But she has some feedback online. I don't know if she does. I don't know if she does. She thought that people were upset with her and the Blue Origin thing because she showed the daisy in space and said, I wish that they didn't show us in the orb. It took away from the experience. It was like, no, Katie, people hated that because you packaged it as fake feminism. They don't care that you brought a daisy to space. What are you talking about right now?
And I truly, really believe that she's surrounded by the wrong people. We showed her track list. Yes. Who told her to do that, though? You know what I'm saying? Who said, Katie, that's a good idea? I lean more towards the yes people around her that are just like, that's a good idea. I mean, look, Katie has always been, like all of her,
art concepts when it comes to the songs and the concerts and the music videos have always been pretty out there. And it's always worked. And I think she's still trying to sort of do the same thing. And it needs to evolve because like
She said in her call, the songs are so good. Like for her to put on a show of all of her hits, it really like it is hit after hit after hit. You're singing your heart out and it just doesn't make sense that they can't match the production value of
to the songs. Like the songs are massive number one smash hits and it feels like the production budget was the bottom of the barrel. She's a huge pop star. Yeah. She's one of the biggest pop stars in the world ever. Yeah. And this is what we're dealing with? Like she's got, do you think she's broke?
I don't know. She's got to be. The choreography, the dancers, just the set design. I'm like, what is happening? It's atrocious. And like I said, right down to her wigs. And then...
Obviously, she's already ripping off like the entire tour is a rip off of bits and pieces of different tours that have gone on in the last couple of years. Taylor's tour, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyonce, even Olivia Rodrigo. She's stealing elements of her show. And again, none of these people invented concerts or segments of concerts or whatever. So you can't really say that she's like stealing. But because all these concerts just happened and each one of them had like a new exciting element. She just took all those new exciting elements and put them all into one show.
And in Katie's defense, I will say, and I actually think Beyonce falls under this category too because she is getting some shit for like not selling out every tour of Calvary Carter yet. Whatever. I think that people need to stop comparing...
shows to the Aris tour because the Aris tour was basically a greatest hits of Taylor Swift. She hadn't toured in years. Biggest thing going, whatever. Everything, all the other concerts. And it's going to be untouchable for years to come too. Exactly. And all of the other tours coming out right now are for singular albums and one moment in time and whatever, shorter shows, blah, blah, blah. That being said, Katy Perry is
putting on a Lifetime show. It's allegedly an Aris Tour-esque show. The comparisons are going to come and you've got to be prepared for that and you can't show up with
25 screens behind you a bad wig and some you know fighting an alien with a lightsaber what the fuck where she's like falling on the ground and she is she looks like almost drugged I'm like is she being held hostage I have seen people being like like what's going on something is not right and it's either right it's either that like she's being taken advantage of in some way which happens a lot with pop stars I mean I think back to that clip
That makes its rounds on the internet sometimes when allegedly, who knows if this is real, but allegedly right before she went on stage, Russell Brand like dumped her or something. And she's crying. She's losing her mind. She wants to cancel the show. And then she's like still crying. She gets in her like platform to get lifted up into the stage. And then she like snaps into place and she's Katy Perry. And in that moment, I felt for her being like,
I can't imagine the pressure of there being a sold out stadium. All these people traveled. They spent money. The record labels need this money. Like all this shit's going down, right? And you have to perform no matter how you feel.
But at this point in Katie's career, the amount of shit that she's getting online, the bad choice to work with Dr. Luke on this already cursed new album, like it's, the music video was a disaster, the Blue Origin shit, cancel the tour. Cancel the tour, go to a wellness center for a while and find yourself and fire everyone around you. Everyone. The whole like, and it just sucks because it just feels like things we've seen from her before. So it's, you know, the, the,
robot things and the and the like Iron Man esque costume that's just been done what like which I don't understand because I think it was was it the VMAs she did that big performance woman's world recently I
Was it somewhere where she was getting the, like an achievement? A vanguard, like a, yeah. Yeah, the video vanguard. Was it? Was it Katy Perry last year? VMAs or, or some, it was some. She did just do one like that. It was some. I think it might've been like last year's VMAs. Show, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like in the fall of last year. Summer word show. Yeah. And,
I thought she was... Yeah, video vanguard. Yeah, like, yeah. She performed a medley. That performance, I thought, was great. It was. It was different. It was done... And she went into, like, you know, the choreography stuff, the crazy stuff, but then there was, like, some softer, sweet moments. And maybe we're just seeing, like, the worst parts of this tour is, like, what's being put out there, and those are the videos that we're seeing. But it just sucks because it's, like... It could be...
so huge. I don't know what's limiting that. And I think it's tough because it is, they do love that comparison where it's like, oh, well, it's not, she's not doing stadiums or blah, blah, blah. It's just like, well, let her make the show, but it's gotta be
I feel like she's still trying to do some crazy insane stadium show in a smaller feel. In like an arena. Yeah. It has to be adjusted. The show is incoherent. Like everything I've seen, and you're right, maybe we're just seeing the bad. Yeah. Then I would like to see the good. Someone send me a good video of Katy Perry's concert because it is...
Where I truly believe that she is being forced to do it. Like, how do you walk into that space and think this is it? This is my lifetime achievement show and I can't believe it. Unless, like, again, there's a money issue or...
Everyone around her is just saying yes, yes, yes to get it over with, which I think is also bad. Makes me super sad. I feel bad. But then Gia has the opposite where she does not feel bad for Katy Perry because of all the bad choices she's made in her life and recently. And so I get that and I feel for that as well. And I understand you can have sympathy for her up to a point. And I'll be curious to know
really what the truth is behind this tour and I'm sure we'll never know probably maybe we will one day down the line but if it comes out one day that like she was broke and she had to do this and she didn't want to and everyone's forcing her and surrounded by the wrong people like then yeah I'll feel bad I will feel bad for that yeah because that sucks
Sorry, Katy Perry. Sorry, Katy Perry. And that's another thing. I don't want to have to pile on someone who everybody's already piling on all the time. Right, right, right. But it's a disgrace. Like, you've got to cancel the tour. It's so bad. I've never seen something worse. Hi, Rhea, Fran, and Noah. This is Kenzie from Milwaukee. Hi.
I want to get your take on or just ask, like, where the hell is the rest of the Molly Mae documentary? Like, what happened? Fucking question. Great question. They came out with three ups and then it was like more coming and then we got nothing. It's been so long.
It kind of is feeling like the Culpo Sisters show where we got like four episodes and then they were just like, never mind. So what's with all these unfinished shows of people's lives that I'm actually interested in?
No. No, that's a great question. Well, great news. The three remaining episodes are going to be released on May 9th. There we go. Perfect. Google search away. As you start, I look to Kelly because my phone's now across the room. Yeah. I say, Kelly, Google this right now because that's so true. I have actually checked Amazon Prime more than I have ever done.
than like three times over the last couple months being like where are these episodes and I feel like there was a definitive answer when they were coming out now I guess there is because there was such a set it was like such a set amount of episodes and then there was like a full trailer for new episodes so it's not like it's not
It's not like things weren't filmed. No, so I wonder... I don't know, maybe they wanted to wait it out because there's been all these rumors that they're back together and that they've been traveling together and maybe they wanted to frame the story differently. Totally. And obviously, it's taken a heavy turn. Tommy's got a drinking problem or whatever they're saying. Yeah, that's why they're in the... Yeah, so it's like how do you...
you know, it's a sensitive issue. It's a sensitive topic. And it's right. Like you said, if they're back together, whatever they've got, they've got Bambi, they've got everything in their life is something. And maybe after seeing the outpouring of not only support that Molly got, but also sympathy. And then at the same time, hate for Tommy from the first couple episodes, maybe they did want it a little distance between the two. Yeah. It's also like, if it is something that they're working on together, maybe those earlier episode, like what they had filmed earlier, like,
have a little bit of a different tone when it comes to talking about Tommy. Sure. And, you know, maybe they want to adjust certain things or make sure that when they do end it, it's like, oh, because now it feels like they are trying to work things out and have that...
Be a part of it? I don't know. But that was so true. And honestly, far too much time between the two. Way too much time. What a weird format. I think it said the first ones came out January 17th. January, yes. January 17th were the first ones. I was going to say, it was January. Three episodes every six months? I need more than that. Why? That's crazy. Why did they do it that way? No idea. Because obviously, they had the footage all already. Yeah.
Right. It doesn't say why. It doesn't say why. Really weird. Okay. Well, now we know when the new one's coming out. May 9th. Very soon. Very soon. Two weeks away, basically. Very soon. Hi, Ria, Fran, and Noah. I have, I guess you could say a hot take, but I guess I'm a little confused myself. Is Bethany Frankel mean to...
Or is she funny? Like sometimes I read the stuff that she says and I think she is like an awful person. But then deep down, I find it like super hilarious, the shit that she says. And I never watch Housewives or anything that she's been on. So I don't really know her personality besides what I see in the media. But like I said, sometimes I think she's like a really horrible person. But other times I just can't help myself but laugh. What do you guys think?
I think both. I would have to agree. I think there is a lot of times where it is just pure funny. I think there's a lot of times that it is mean-spirited. Absolutely. But still kind of funny. Yep. And then there's times where it is just straight-up mean and you're like, ooh, she missed the mark on this one. I think she is always...
trying to entertain and be funny. Yes. And sometimes she just misses it and you're like, that one didn't land. Not funny. You're actually just being mean. But she's always, I feel like, trying to be funny and then sometimes you're like, ah, that was not funny. Couldn't agree more. I think that I used to be a major Bethany Stan when she was on Housewives. Loved her on Housewives. I liked her because she was the most blunt, the most honest, and the funniest in her delivery of being blunt and whatever. Yeah.
And I just felt it was always the most real and blah, blah, blah. Obviously, she's had her own host of issues over time. But I just think now what we're seeing is just like a boomer with her cell phone and nobody's telling her.
maybe don't post that you know right it's just not like I don't take Bethany seriously like at all like I feel like a lot of people and maybe that's just because I watched her on Housewives and I know her she just puts her inner monologue out there like at all times which is for sure fine for some people and then sometimes you're like that one could have been left in the draft shouldn't have said that but she's another one where I don't know why people bother like writing headlines about her because it's like yeah she's saying stuff to say stuff like she's just talking none of it is that serious
and nobody should take her seriously. Like, she's just, you know, in that way. I think she's a good businesswoman. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, there are times when she's trying to be serious, but there's definitely, like, most of the time, there are, like, serious headlines that get written about her or quotes from her TikToks that when you see them in print, you're like, oh. Yeah. And then you go and watch the video and you're like, oh. You know, it's different. The tone is very important with Bethany, and her tone is always...
Like, I would view almost every video of Bethany with, like, a little bit of a sarcastic lens. Yeah. Like, she's very dry. Yeah. In some ways. That's totally true. Let's do one more. Hey, Fran. Maybe, Rhea, you might be still on your honeymoon. Hey. This is Bridget from North Carolina. Oh, my God. Hi, Bridget. Piper, no. Yeah, Piper, no. I don't know if you are a gospel girl fan, but I know that Rhea and Fran are. But anyway, I want to know what y'all think is...
Your least favorite or just the most absurd plot point in Gossip Girl? I'm doing a rewatch right now. And personally, I think just the most bizarre moment is Bart Bass dying and then just like randomly coming back to life like at the end of the series. Yep. And then him dying like two seconds later again. For real. Anyways.
Um, I love you guys. Thank you for being such an entertainment in my life and hope you guys have a great day. Bye. Oh my God. Love that energy. Love her. Great. So glad we just finished on that voicemail. Obsessed with her accent. Obsessed with everything about her. That was amazing. Um,
I have not done a Gossip Girl rewatch recently enough where like it all comes flooding into my, into my mind. I'm with you. Yeah. Uh, that's gotta be up there. I think the whole storyline with, with like uncle Jack, that was, wasn't uncle Jack like trying to hook up with Blair and then like also Serena. Like,
Yeah. Something weird with him. He's hot though, that actor. I feel like things also really got weird with Nate too. Oh, you know what I hate? And everybody that Nate dated later in the show, you're like, this is pointless. Here's what it is. It is Nate dating that older woman who is also, I think-
No it's not Elizabeth Hurley Or is she in it too? No no The one he has like An affair with Who plays Her name's Catherine In the show I don't know her real name Yeah isn't that Elizabeth Hurley? No she No it's not Oh it's not She is But is Elizabeth Hurley In Gossip Girl?
That I'm not sure. I don't think so. No, Google Elizabeth Hurley Gossip Girl. The woman who Nate has an affair with in Gossip Girl is also, I want to be like, she's the mom and like, Diana Payne. Diana Payne. Will you click her and see what other, she's a mom in something else. Wait, wait, what? No, no, no, we're talking about Elizabeth Hurley.
Oh, sorry. Never mind. That's her character in Gossip Girl. Got it. Okay. So she is in it. Diana. They work for her or something? Yeah, I don't know. I thought she had something with Nate. She might. Or Dan. Maybe she was second. Or Nate. Because Nate dates, is like fully having an affair with an older woman. Right. For a while. And then I think she also has an affair with her stepson. Yeah.
There's something, there's a weird incestual line there. I'm not going to lie. I mean, probably, spoiler alert, the worst plot line of Gossip Girl is a damn man in Gossip Girl. And you're right. That may be the worst. And that's it. Yep. Of all the things, that was probably the most ridiculous. The most ridiculous. You're like, wait, what? You know? Yep. Especially when you watch it back in those earlier seasons. It's funny because I think Patton Badgley kind of joked about it when he was just on Call Her Daddy where it was like,
You know, they obviously had to pick somebody in the main cast for it to be. And you almost think early on, did they even really know who it was going to be? And then they just like, definitely not. It was one of those things. There's no way they knew. You know who also I thought was just unfortunately a pointless character? Love her, but Hilary Duff.
Oh, what was she there for? When she was like a star going to school. Yeah, yeah. I was dating Dan and it was just like, what's happening? It was like, what's going on here? No, I hated that. I have to find this lady because it's going to kill me. The lady that he had an affair with. Yeah. Oh, oh. Madchen Amick. Catherine Beaton. That's her name. She also is in... Let me see her picture. Here. Uh...
This lady. You know her. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Who else? I'm about to look up. She's like a mom in another one. Totally. She's like a sexy mom. Riverdale. Is that what it is? She's in Riverdale. I feel like I'm imagining a moment where someone, it might be Gossip Girl, it might be something else. In my head, it's Nate in Hampton's house and she goes outside to see her stepson. She's one of their moms in Riverdale. Okay, that's what it is. Lily, she's Lily, she's a...
Lily Reinhart's mom. Lily Reinhart's mom. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, okay. Anyway, we don't need to talk about that. No, but yeah. It's really endless when it comes to ridiculous stories in Gossip Girl. You do watch it back and you're like, wow. Is she also in that new Cruel Intentions reboot? Oh, she might have been. Which I loved, by the way. And it got canceled immediately. Immediately, literally. You know who else loved it with me? Jeff D. Lowe. Yeah, yeah.
No surprise. Oh, man. I'm trying to think of anything else I can think of. I mean. Yeah, that's all I can really think of. Yeah. Sorry. The stepmom, stepson plotline. That is from the new Cruel Intentions. And the woman does look like this woman, but it's not her. Wasn't there like a surprise baby element? Or like we thought Dan was the father of someone's baby. Yeah, like Dan got somebody pregnant. Was it maybe Georgina? Was it Georgina? It could have been.
Because I remember it too. But then like it wasn't. Vanessa maybe? I think he like wasn't actually the dad. It was like a fake. No, I think it was like a fake pregnancy. Yeah. Right, right, right, right, right. So that show, it's so worth the rewatch. Like if you haven't rewatched Cosmere all in a while. I know. I also haven't either. It's been a couple years.
I know I totally haven't either oh my god it's so good I'm saying anything about the new age Gossip Girl did you ever watch that no I never even gave it a try my brother and I both gave it a try hated it but kept watching it and then started to really like it and then they cancelled it I was like come on that's always kind of how it goes same with Pretty Little Liars Original Sin yeah right exactly that's totally totally how it goes HBO
Okay, that wraps up for the Pop Corner. Make sure you please call in. Leave your voicemails. We love hearing them. Love hearing your hot takes, questions, whatever you want to talk about it. We're here. Thank you guys for tuning in.

All right, everyone, we are here with a very special guest. We have the GM and editor-in-chief of People, Charlotte Triggs, in studio. Thank you so much for coming in. Hi, thanks so much for having me. We are so excited. It is just me today. Normally, there are two of us. Okay, so I don't get to meet her today. Too bad. I'll have to come back. Yes, exactly. Rhea is away on her honeymoon. Oh, my God. Congratulations. She just got married last week, so...
It was stunning. And I was so excited when I was...
Reached out to to potentially have you come into the studio and talk about all things people and especially the people's most beautiful issue that was just released last week. Can you talk a little bit about that issue and your beautiful cover star? Yes. So this is a fun issue. We've done it for 36 years. It's one of our big franchises that we do every single year. And I was super excited because this is my first year as editor in chief to have a
I think the ultimate choice on the cover. We had Demi Moore as World's Most Beautiful. I mean, she's just amazing and an icon. And you look back at everything she's done throughout her whole career, and she could have been most beautiful five different times because she was...
a superstar and fabulous and gorgeous and breaking down barriers in the industry and stuff like that. But this... Did you see The Substance? Yes. Oh, my God. So that movie is... Actually, I feel like every woman should really see it. I know. Because it's just fascinating. If you can get through the gore, I'd... Yeah. I've been telling... I loved it. I thought it was so good. It is fascinating. Or just turn the tablet around when it's, like, the gross parts. You know what I mean? Yeah, exactly. It's worth it because it's really interesting and fascinating. But, like, she took on...
And she took on everybody's obsession with aging and the beauty industry and all this kind of stuff. And like the fact of the matter is she's fabulous and she is beautiful, but she's also self-aware and she talks about it in a way where, you know, she has been through some stuff and she's come out on the other end and like super empowered and setting a good example for people, I think really. And it's like, I just was really excited to have her on there. And the interview was fabulous. Yeah. I think that she really was, um,
the perfect person for also that role in that movie. Totally. Because she has... Her journey has gone... There's so many ups and downs. And she has been so beautiful in every decade. But people have always...
scrutinized her looks and like I feel like you get into that movie and it just spun it so well and it really made you think about it. It was like written for her practically. I mean literally. Totally. Completely. And there's so many things that she like invented like beauty things that she invented like you know nowadays people do things that they just didn't used to do but she created it like the naked pregnancy portrait right? Like the shaved head for G.I. Jane like that was like totally unheard of at the time and then do you remember Charlie's Angels?
The black bikini moment.
when she's on the beach she was 40 and at that time everybody's like oh my god somebody who's 40 is hot holy cow how could that be i mean like literally people used to think that that like wasn't possible and she kind of changed the game there absolutely absolutely and everyone i think just has been feeling that and seeing that especially because she has done all these carpets and promoting the movie and it's winning awards for it totally and everything so it's like wow it's it's
She is timeless. What's the process like for you guys when you have to choose the cover star for this special edition? Yeah, so I mean, we started a few months ago. When I first got into the role of editor-in-chief in January, I basically kind of called together the team to start really thinking about this. And I sent out an anonymous survey to her staff. I sent it to everybody. And I did not collect emails because I wanted people's truthful opinions. Like, give us...
Give us all your thoughts. Like, what did you think about the stuff we've done? What do you think is good, not good? Like, what are your ideas about who should be on there? And then we pulled together a room of stakeholders and like, you know, I've got like everybody, you know, we make a bunch of products, right? We've got a magazine, but we also have website, YouTube, social. We've got a brand new app. So like all these...
various people. I always bring my assistant, Brendan, in. He's my Gen Z whisperer. He'll give it to me real on the side and just get their opinions on stuff. And really, everybody across the board was like, this is her year. She is where it's at. We want to meet. And we're so lucky that she was into it. And the shoot was just so amazing. Do you ever have... Do you guys ever put any certain...
guidelines or like, hey, we want someone in this age range or this before you do it or you kind of gather all possibilities? I guess it's not like we we don't necessarily think about it like programming to fill certain things, but on a rolling basis, we want all kinds of stories. So like if last year we had
The opposite of that. I mean, you know what I mean? Like you want to make sure that you're telling all kinds of stories and that you have all kinds of people in the zeitgeist represented, but you want to make sure that you're telling the story of the year. So in this case, it was really her without a shadow of a doubt. Right. But yeah, I mean, we're always thinking about wanting all kinds of people in the mix, right?
What else goes into making that edition? Because, of course, you have the cover story, but then throughout you get to read about other beautiful people and their stories and maybe their wellness tricks or there are all these kinds of things that they have. Yeah, so we've got an awesome team that's thinking of all these ideas and stuff like that. And they had a bunch of...
ideas for different things we would shoot and like get video and all that kind of stuff for and then a handful of things that are just like ideas of like fun roundups so it's like we had the best beauty moments of the year that's the kind of thing that you could just easily pull together with our style and beauty team kind of giving their thoughts on the best moments of the year and you've got like Cynthia Erivo's nails that crazy manicure I don't know how anybody has the patience to spend like four hours getting their nails done I
It's not even that. It's just your day-to-day life. How do you do anything? I don't do anything. I've never figured that out. I have long nails and people are always like, oh my God, your nails. Those are quite long. They are long and I've gotten so used to them, but now it's like... Do that times four. Exactly. And even just...
texting was such an adjustment for me when they became long. Now I'm used to it. But if I ever cut them short, I'm like, I don't know how to do this. So maybe she's just so used to them. I guess. Maybe now she can't go without them. It's like part of her now. But yeah, so stuff like that. And like, you know, like Benny Blanco's eyebrow makeover was sort of like,
a moment like it has to be a little bit funny too right like not just like dead serious but we had a cool act with moms and daughters swapping clothes so that was kind of cute because you've got like Gabrielle Union and her daughter Kavya and it's like Kavya's giving her mom the princess tiara and her mom is giving her a diamond brooch that she wore to the Met Gala so it's like kind of funny
You know what I mean? But it's like all different kinds of things hitting all different kinds of notes, but telling the story of like, you know, beauty trends and just like the fun that you can have with it. Yeah. Yeah. What is like the evolution of this?
been like it's gone through some name changes and things like that. So what do you think it is at at this point now? So, well, I guess let's talk about what it evolved from. Like when we were starting out, it was like a list of just hot, cool people in the zeitgeist. And I don't know if you realize, but they used to actually put guys on the cover routinely. Like there was a Leonardo DiCaprio cover in like the late 90s, right around the time of Titanic and stuff like that. So it was just like a zeitgeisty list, basically. Yeah.
And then we had, did you ever see the movie with Jennifer Garner where they're making magazine? What was the movie? 13 Going on 30. Remember where it's like she's selling the secrets across the street. Yes. And it's like, oh, we have 98 sex secrets and they have like 100. Right, right, right. As if that's going to really make a difference and sell more stuff. So we, at some point, we went from 50 most beautiful people to 100 most beautiful people. Probably right around 2004. That must have literally been, you know, a trick that actually would sell more magazines. So for a while it was 100.
And then it became, for a brief time, it was World's Most Beautiful Woman, which I don't know when we incorporated that language. But that took it, I think, a little too far in the direction of, like, focusing on physical beauty, right? And then it's just evolved from there. We had the beautiful issue. It's been called a lot of different things. But I think the real thing is that we want it to be a celebration, right? Like, we're celebrating somebody for their accomplishments, not just for their beauty.
surface appearance but for their accomplishments and for the kind of the inner strength and resolve and the you know what they've overcome and what kind of shines through from you know it is like the inner beauty is part of it yeah absolutely that's I think it's and it's shared throughout when you go through the edition you can really see that as well I'd love to hear
more about your journey like you said you are took over as editor-in-chief at the beginning of this year how you kind of have made it to this point because you've been with people for a long time yes so I mean my little joke that I've been telling people is I'm like two months on the job maybe it's like four months on the job now and 20 years actually at the brand so I started on staff in 2005 I
I remember the very first year actually voting on who was going to be the most beautiful. They used to like let you choose whatever. And that year, actually, they were considering bumping. They had Julia Roberts and they were going to bump her for breaking news, which was that Brad and Angelina had gotten together as a couple. And this is right after, of course, he had broken up with Jan Aniston. And I remember voting for Julia because I was like, people wait all year for this. So you can't like rob them of of the franchise. Right. Right.
But yeah, it was like stuff has changed so much because back then,
And, you know, they would, I'm sure the editor was like, what the hell? Like all these young people want the franchise, but this breaking news will sell like 2 million copies. And it really probably would have, you know, it's a different world. And like, and fewer products to worry about back then. They had, you know, the magazine was like mostly it. They had a website too, but then it's like things have just evolved and changed and gotten so much bigger and so many more products that we have now, even now like an app. You know what I mean? So it's been a crazy evolution to have a front row seat.
For seeing all of that. Yeah. Did you always want to stay there? Was that a goal or is that kind of just you've been like gradually growing? I feel like I've just never gotten bored there and I've always seen opportunities to be doing new and exciting things. Like, you know, even like early, early on in my career, I started out as like a
an assistant and then like a fact checker and then a reporter and a writer and whatever. I was like a junior writer and there was somebody who was one level above me who happened, her beat was plastic surgery and she left and I was like, oh, jackpot, let me ask for this. Let me see if I can
land that position. I was like, I'll write about plastic surgery for a year. Why not? Like, for more than that. And they, you know, they did, in fact, give it to me. Every step of the way, I've always kind of asked for what I want, A. And if you see an opportunity that looks like growth, even if it's maybe a little bit different from what you're doing or even a little bit weird, like writing about plastic surgery may seem like a bit of a weird career move, but it teaches you to
It teaches you to write, find human interest stories and and celebrity stories. So for me, it was a cool stepping stone job. And then, you know, I kind of made the leap over into that pure entertainment for a while. And I was a TV writer. Then I became an editor on the TV team and then later the TV editor. And then I made the leap over to digital about like eight years ago.
Has the pop culture news and celebrity news always been something you were interested in? I think for me, starting this podcast and really making it so pop culture focused is I was just so obsessed with every story growing up. Growing up and as a teenager, really. So growing up, my parents used to watch like arthouse films.
Okay. And like I would get to watch like My Little Pony, but they would be watching like the Wagner biography. Like, you know what I mean? Like, and then I did ballet, like classical ballet and was like training for that for a long time. So actually until I was maybe like in my mid-teens, I don't think I even like had much exposure to pure pop culture. So like don't quiz me on anything before like 1997. So fair. Like literally no 80s like trivia. I'm not going to win at that.
But yeah. And then I don't know, like in college, I actually studied English literature and German. So again, not something that you would think would maybe like land you on the path for doing pop culture. But then when I got the internship at People, it was just so much fun and interesting. And it's really like it's not just writing about celebrities. It's more than that. It's right. It's like the whole zeitgeist, the pop culture and like what's going on in the in the American culture. Right. So I found it just like endlessly interesting. Right.
and stimulating. And then now everything, since I started at people, I like have practically a photographic memory for like the trivia that's happened since then. So I might not know early nineties, but I know 2000s and beyond. What do you think are some of like the biggest, um,
about working in that space, especially in the pop culture news space of celebrity news and relationships and things like that. I don't know. Maybe that it's like just gossip or that it's not, you know, that there's like not real information that's made up. I mean, like, you know, our whole thing that we have always kind of prided ourselves on, but sometimes it can actually, you know, be a difficult mantle to wear is that it's like...
if you read it on people, you know it's true, right? So that will sometimes mean that we're slow on the draw on something because we're busy reporting it out and trying to confirm it. You know what I mean? Like I was joking with people the other day, but it's like, I don't think AI is going to be able to replace our jobs because AI can't like find out why Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez broke up, call sources and figure that out. You know what I mean? Like that's the big thing. We do really put a lot of, put a huge premium on the fact checking and the original reporting. Yeah.
Was going to say I think that is such a big thing because even when there's social media rumors about something I always see online when they see the published people Exclusive or this people like that. There's gotta be some truth to it. There is here we are Exactly like there there has to be a big element there has that kind of changed in
Any relationships with the actual celebrities? You know, it's interesting, actually. Like, back in the day, there used to be a lot more, like...
that had some real reporting muscle and they could kind of go after these guys and did. And then we would always be the people that would like call them up and be like, would you like to tell the actual story? And now there is Instagram. People can go on there and can say what they believe, you know,
You mean like they can say they can refute something, they can go right to the source, they have their own audiences. But there's also like a million people with a million tiny audiences, right? And we are still here and we can help people to kind of,
I don't know, like coalesce what they're trying to say and really get it out to like a mass audience in a very effective way. We still see when people come and give us like, you know, like the first look at their books and we run it on the cover and then it runs online and we have videos and stuff like that. That sells their books. Right. You know what I mean? People are seeing this and they like to the point that you just made, which I'm so glad you said, like people believe it when they read it. So it's like we're there to help. You know what I mean? So it's like we, of course, want to know what's going on, but we want to know the real
real information. We're not here to be blowing up somebody's life and making shit up. Pardon my French. Totally fine. You can say whatever you want here. As someone that has been there for that many years and have seen the transformation, what has been some of the biggest physical magazine to digital media kind of changes that you think people have had to make to stay relevant? It's been a huge evolution. It's like back in the day, you would...
Like if the main goal was to sell copies on the newsstand, you could just pull together a story from like a million different sources, like, you know, real information, but calling up all kinds of people. You didn't necessarily have to have anybody's cooperation and you could pull together a really compelling story and it would sell well.
like a lot of copies like almost two million copies of the newsstand nowadays it's like that can be a really effective thing that we do when there's like a really meaty story and like you're just not getting anything and it's like everybody's dying to know that we still do that a lot but you mean you guys know it's like you need like you need video you need like all kinds of other assets that you really need to get from having like access to people right like having a sit down you
You need people's cooperation. You need them. You need the stars to do a million more things than they used to do. It used to be that they would just have to have lunch with you in Beverly Hills or something and then just go home and they didn't even have to like do anything beyond that. Now we need people, you know, it's just part of the part of the process now is like
You know, you need them to share stuff on social. You need them to like the product that you're making and be enthusiastic about it and tell their own fans to go and like check it out. You know what I mean? So it's just a whole completely different calculus these days. Yeah. What is kind of the has that changed the ethos of people?
Definitely hasn't changed like the spirit of what we're doing, right? We're like the original, original, like intent of people was to tell stories of extraordinary people doing ordinary things and ordinary people doing extraordinary things. So that a that mix is super critical. It's not just stars. It's also real people. But like, you know, that still holds true into today. I would say we also maybe sometimes write about ordinary people doing ordinary things. You know, these
people fighting on the airplane yeah you know those stories are interesting and people like them so it's like maybe that's like a brand extension right right right right those viral moments where you're just like what is going on here but the people are fascinated by ordinary ordinary people's outrageous behavior sometimes which is which is very true
Okay, our last question is sponsored by Armani Beauty. You guys have these beautiful flagpole additions and I know everyone also loves to discuss Sexiest Man and where that goes. And every year when it's launched, it's like, is he the guy? What do you all talk about behind the scenes on WeWork?
what you want that conversation to be like specifically for that issue. Well, obviously we want people to be excited, right? We want people to agree. We shouldn't have to be like proving our case in court. You know what I mean? Like it should be pretty evident on its space, right? Like, and it needs to be fun. Like if beauties is maybe a little bit earnest because you're telling a story about like resilience and strength and beauty, but sexiest man is fun and it's pure fun. So it needs to just be a little bit more lighthearted and,
I think it's been a little too long since we've had a guy with his shirt off on the cover. Don't you? I sure do. I sure do. That's one of my goals. These are the changes we would like to see. Totally. I feel like it's an attainable goal, right? Absolutely. People want to be sexiest man alive. Look, as somebody... I mean, I think anybody that puts that much time and work into taking care of themselves to look like that, they're going to say...
I look like this because I work really hard to look like this. They're not doing it for not an audience. Exactly. Exactly. As much as you're like, oh, no, I look good, feel good, which is, you know, very true. But you you're working to show it off. Let us see all that hard work in action. Right. Right. Right. Well, you know what? That could be really something to look forward to. Well, I hope I hope that comes to light because make sure that we deliver on that.

But the beautiful, it's stunning. Thank you. Demi is stunning. I think that that was a really great and important choice.
For somebody who, you know, now is considered older, I'm putting in air quotes, where they see her that way. I was actually, and this is like a tiny anecdote, but I was just listening to Amy Poehler on the Las Colteristas podcast. And she's fantastic. But she was saying that, you know, she's now...
In her 50s. And she's like, I feel like there was years ago a different stereotypical timeline for women of, you know, your 30s or 40s. And she's like, my 50s. And then you're done, right? Yeah, yeah. But they're not anymore. My 50s are amazing. And I love them. And there should be a new definition for...
