What's up everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. And Friday energy we have indeed on this Monday morning. Woohoo!
How we feeling? Victory Monday, baby. Victorious. Oh, yeah. Love that. Why not, huh? Why not? I'm in a great mood, but I'm also exhausted. Figured. You know, what a...
Such a fun day, but a draining day. I feel like I was out there on the field, you know? You know what? You might as well have been. I'm sore. My voice hurts. Makes sense. My throat's a little scratchy. It's like I might as well have suited up yesterday. Your voice sounds better than I thought it was, and I think the listeners are actually going to be shocked too because the amount of lovely ladies that responded to my story being like, Fran's voice tomorrow is going to be at another level. Yeah, no, truly. No, it's not. It's not that bad at all. Yeah, I've...
You know, I just don't throw them back like I used to. You put the cigarettes down, you're only doing half a pack these days. That's when I'm just going out and staying up late all weekend long, and then Sunday hits, and then it's bad. Right. And then that would be the problem. But I started to feel it go faster.
for sure towards the end of the game a little bit. - As it should. - It was so much fun. We went to Xfinity pre-game, Xfinity Live, they're the best. We had so much fun. They had a great table for us up on the balcony, got to look down, look at everybody. Everybody's cheering, everybody excited.
food, drinks, hanging out, getting ready, which was nice because especially for a game like that, it really actually wasn't that cold in my seat. I wasn't really that cold. - It's sweaty. - Which is so nice. But I always over-prepare, so I had a lot of layers. So it was nice being inside before the game to not have all the layers on before preparing for the game, which was great.
Was there with Gia and then my brother ended up coming as well. He got a ticket a few rows in front of us, which ended up being very funny because just anytime something good would happen, I looked, I'm like, Jay, he's just hugging straight, like hugging everybody around him. It's the spirit of the game. And the second half, there was a couple next to us and they left at halftime. And...
G and I were like, how do we tell JB to come back to sit with us? We're like, everything's going well, like the way it is. Should we just have him? G was like, no, let him stay down there. Let him sit down. And then JB was laughing. He was like, no, I actually don't think the people around me would have let me leave. Like we were like locked in. We were really locked in. So it was great. The game was so much fun. Obviously, you know, the Eagles score 55 points. It was just, it was a lot of excitement. Defense played great. Um,
Got there early. M.K. Morrissey, she's currently Elphaba on Broadway. She sang the national anthem, which just, I mean. That's an amazing start. Couldn't get any better than that. That's an amazing start. I saw her. She posted a TikTok. I posted on my story where she was joking, like improvising if she was going to hit the Elphaba Defying Gravity note during the national anthem. She did it. She had a beautiful, beautiful national anthem.
But she was joking like a beret, you know, like to really hit a little. She didn't do it, but. That would have been good. Yeah, but it was great. They had the flyover. They have the eagle fly up from the top. The eagle flies around the stadium. I saw that. Yeah. And I was like.
Wow, that's really cool. I know, I know. Over the speaker, they tell a little story about the Eagles. Oh, that's gorgeous. It's just beautiful. So, really a ton of fun. I just... Eagles games, being at Eagles games, just really crack me up because, like, the crowd is so funny. There was definitely a decent amount of Commanders fans. Like, not a ton, but they were around for sure. And...
Good for them, just for being at the game, I give them a lot of credit because not that I saw anything bad happen, but it's a lot of pointing and laughing for sure. There's a lot of like a... And a lot of them left early in the fourth quarter, so there's a lot of waving. There was a clip...
these commanders fans that took over took over I put in quotation marks the hard rock cafe in Philadelphia which everyone was like didn't even know Philly had a hard rock cafe no one's ever at hard rock there's there's always a hard rock cafe to be found anywhere it's like not hard to take over the hard rock cafe when there's not a lot of people in there in the first place um
And this guy, like... Oh, let them have that. No, this guy... Unnecessary shot at the Hard Rock Cafe. He put on a whole speech at the Hard Rock Cafe the night before the game. This one fan of, like, look at us. I'm taking over. And then somebody, who knows? Of course, the guy was recognized. And it made it to the Barstool Philly account of...
The guy leaving, the commander's hand leaving the game. And everyone was like, bah, back to the hard rock. Oh, my God. Oh, shit. Oh, shite. Oh, boy. No, but I had an all-time, like, 12-year-old Philly fan, like, in the row behind me who was just like...
Just screaming profanities. I just was dying laughing. I was crying. It was so funny. He's with his mom. And his mom's like all out at the game. Yeah, it was just so cute. Really, I just...
And then Gia just, Gia is the worst of them all, really, like, screaming her freaking head off. And there was a family, like, two rows in front of us, probably, like, a six-year-old boy. He just, like, kept turning around and, like, looking at Gia. Like, I was like, oh, my God. Oh, my God, these words are coming out of this lady. I know, I know, I know. But, you know, you bring your little kids to an Eagles game, you know. Especially this game. Yeah, they, uh.
They know what to expect, but oh my God. It was just so much fun. So much fun. Well, I'm so happy for you. I was pumped up for you. And now the Eagles will be playing the Chiefs. The Chiefs beat the Bills. And I just have to say...
Josh Allen, my heart goes out to the Bills fans, our listeners. Yeah. We know we have some dedicated Buffalo listeners out there. My heart. At Kansas City. My heart. Oh, of course, Kansas City, but my heart doesn't go to them. They're in the Super Bowl. They've won enough. No,
I'm happy for them, but the Bills fans, I felt like I really had a connection to Buffalo this past fall when we went. I threw a big B on my chest with Buffalo sauce, so I felt like I was one of them. And I felt really bad for Josh Allen watching his post-game interview, and he's like, in order to be the champs, you've got to beat the champs. And he's just got this sad puppy dog face on, and I'm like...
And I just felt for the Bills fans, you know? Yeah. As someone who loves Buffalo. No, I definitely feel you on that. It's tough when there's... It's just like the boogeyman. It's just every time. The playoffs are all around. They just can't. And they always have to play them. Yeah, and they beat them in the regular season, but when it comes to the playoffs, it's just like a whole...
He's 0-4 against Mahomes in the playoffs, right? What? He's 0-4 against... Yes. That's tough. That is correct. You know, I saw... This is a... You know, the sports... We love Josh. The sports takes come out. But I saw videos of the comparison when the Bills beat the Chiefs in the regular season. And Mahomes was like...
That was the wildest fucking call of ever, whatever, when he said, you know, when he hugged Josh Allen after the game because he was mad they lost. And then this one is just Josh Allen giving Patrick Mahomes a nice hug, saying nothing about the game, you know? Very respectful. Very, very respectful man. I love Josh Allen. But, you know, Patrick Mahomes, he's got that fire in him, you know? He wants to keep winning. So, you know, can you blame them? They love the game. No, I mean, a rematch is crazy. I...
Like a three P is that is very hard to do. So we'll see what happens. I think that, I think this Eagles team is way better than the Eagles team of two years ago that they played.
Saquon is just such a difference maker. I love that. God love him. Let me tell you. God love him. First time he touches the ball, he scores. It was unbelievable. Right into our end zone that we were at. Almost fell over. Going from seeing Saquon out at a club, what was it, a year ago? Two years ago? I don't know. It was a while ago now. Maybe two years ago. Never did I think.
That we would be like sitting here and it's like Saquon is the savior of the Eagles. I mean, I didn't think it would be like this at the beginning of the season. Yeah. It's crazy. You know, when you're on a team that's like he's on the Giants, it's just like not – Eagles fans are never going to be like, oh, yeah, like we'll give Saquon that kind of respect. He's on a divisional team.
Rival team. He comes over and first season right to the Super Bowl. I want him to get his ring. I mean, he deserves it. The season he will most likely, he's only, it's like 30-ish yards away. He will most likely break the record for the most yards, running yards in a season, regular season and postseason record, which is like, it's like almost 2,500 yards. It's like
I think the number I saw was like 2,470 something. And he's like 30-ish away from that. That's insane. From that number right now. To break that record, which is crazy. That's crazy. Crazy. Ugh. God. Jalen had an amazing game.
He had a fantastic pregame outfit. Did you see it? I did. Oh, my God. He's one handsome fella. He really is. Gosh, he really is. He really is. He really is. He is one handsome, handsome man. Yeah. It's like you get like, you know. No, and it's like, and then when you catch a good, like, sincere Jalen smile, it's like, ooh, goosebumps. It's just. You can feel it. He is a handsome man. Yeah.
And he was lighting his cigar and his locker was very MJ-esque. It was very cool. Very, very cool. But yeah, I mean, back to the Super Bowl. Back to the Super Bowl. I don't know what... I'm like, now I'm so nervous. I'm like, what am I going to do? I got to... My duck's in order here. You do. So you're going to New Orleans for the dozen. Yeah. You were already going for the dozen, but now you're going to be staying for the week because...
because the Eagles are in the Super Bowl. So why the frick not just stay there? No, I know, I know. I'm going to have to ask someone. Hey, co-workers, want to work together? Want to do something the end of the week? Here comes the one thing that I get jealous about with the Super Bowl situation. The performers. You're going to see Kendrick perform with SZA. Right. And that...
Well, let's not. I don't have tickets. You don't have tickets. I don't have tickets. But you always find a way there. I know, but I'm just saying. You don't have tickets. I don't have tickets. But at this point, I'm assuming you'll end up there. I would like tickets to get to me somehow. My parents actually, I think, want to go to the game as well. So it'd be really cool if we could all go together. I'm just saying because you've ended up there every time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, not every time. I didn't go to the one in Minneapolis, which was a regret. Oh, right, right. But you went the last time. So I just assume you'll be there. Yeah.
You got to see Rihanna. Yeah. And now you may possibly get to see Kendrick. Right. And I'm not going to lie. Like, this is going to bother you. I'm like, okay. No, I know. And I know that's how you feel about it. I think it's going to be sick. I think it's going to be fucking sick. And I think you're going to be like, this is sick. SZA.
Scissor's incredible. Yeah, yeah. That one excites me a little bit more. And you don't think he'll have another surprise performer? I don't know. We were talking about this last night. And I just can't see him bringing out Lil Wayne because they have one song together. It's Mona Lisa. That's not a song you perform at the Super Bowl. And I also think after a drama, I don't think Lil Wayne would want to just be brought out as a special guest. I think he would want to actually perform the entire thing. So I don't think that will happen.
I don't know if Tyler Crater would come out for... He's obsessed with Kendrick. Yeah, but he doesn't scream Super Bowl to me, Tyler Crater. I don't think he'd excite that many people. No. I mean, Tyler Crater is such a specific...
specific crowd yeah remember at tyler the crater's concert when he brought out drake in the crowd like that you know what i mean like it's it's not like a commercial yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it's not a halftime right halftime has to be it's got to be a little commercial yeah yeah for sure but that will be fucking sick yeah and you know what though i'll enjoy watching it on television anyway
Crank that volume all the way up. The performances are better on TV than at the... Because you remember a lot of them, it's not made for the stadium. Half the stadium is the backs of everyone. It is made for TV. 100%. I felt that way. I mean, even Rihanna in the stadium was amazing, but I remember watching it back and it just has a much different...
It has a totally different effect. You can crank that volume. It's just hard. I mean, sometimes you're looking at your seats like, you're looking at Rihanna, she's like this big, you know? When Beyonce did her thing like a few weeks, or like in December, if you're not, you wouldn't see her like walking out on a horse, like all that stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? Absolutely. One of the best Super Bowl performances for me still
and I just watch it every once in a while, is Beyond St. Bruno Mars, like when they battle each other. Yeah. That was epic. That was really good. But yeah, super excited for you. Yeah, Chiefs. No pun intended. I know, everyone was super... Oh, yeah, that one. That was good. It's just like a common word. You know what I mean? It's a common word. Um...
Different this year because, you know, now they're playing against Taylor Swift. She wasn't around two years ago. I'm sure she'll be there again. She's got the luck on her side, too. Yeah. Yeah, they always do. She's back on the field. Everybody was looking at all the videos and pictures of them canoodling on the field again. Of course. Yeah. It's so cute, as always. She seemed very excited. It was cute. There was one, I think it was Mahomes when he scored and then had the all-time worst score.
Attempted spike. Attempted spike. Awful.
They showed the box and it was very cute. It was like Taylor had one arm around Donna, one arm around her mom. It was very sweet. That is nice. That's nice. And it's crazy because their moms look a lot alike. They do. Sometimes I'm like, which mom is she with? Similar vibes from those moms. They have similar vibes going on for sure. 100%. You think when they met each other, they were like, yeah, we're going to get along. Yeah, I think it's like, that's one of the many reasons why it all works. And I...
I will say love I'm so hot and cold with some of these outfits the like the Chanel outfit from whether it was was that last week or two weeks ago last week maybe loved that this outfit not so much for me
Not so much. It actually felt like Travis-esque. Like with the designer print all over the outfit. It was logo mania. Yeah, like a lot of logo. I feel like Travis, it reminded me of something Travis would wear. I just cannot get behind anymore. And Taylor loves this look and she always has. And I appreciate her dedication to the look. But like the tights with the lace-up boots...
Just like ankle boots. It's just never, it's never going to be a look I love. It's her look. You know? It's, yeah. It is a little like witch-like. It's her look. Yeah. It's her go-to. I did like, I liked the hat. I thought the hat was very cute. Yeah, very cute. And I just watched her, but I don't know. She had to do her little pop of red. And some people thought she was wearing the same skirt that she wore to last year's AFC Championship game, which...
I can respect that 100% because sometimes you got to match. I've been wearing my same go birds sweatshirt crew neck every playoff game. I've worn it. And yesterday I was like, well, I, it's, it was one of my layers. Like I had it on. If you go,
Yeah, 100%. You gotta wear it. 100%. All the people posting pictures now of Taylor and Eagle stuff from like years ago. Yeah, look. You can't blame her for... No, I mean, now she's in love. She's got a boyfriend that's a superstar.
I don't think she was ever this dedicated. Like, I know she sang about the Eagles one time. I don't think she was this dedicated Eagles fan. Like, I think she rooted for the Eagles because that's where she's from or whatever. And her dad was an Eagles fan. And then she probably didn't give a shit about football, really. And then she started dating Travis Kelce. She's obviously going to root for the Chiefs. Now, the real question is, who the fuck does Jason Kelce root for?
Yeah, funny enough, it'll be interesting to hear what they say on New Heights this week, but I think Jason will still lean Eagles.
And I think that also has to do with Kylie. Like Kylie's rooting for the Eagles. 100%. Like there is no way Kylie's rooting for the Chiefs to win three years in a row. No, no. And Kylie's such a dedicated Eagles fan. They're all massive Eagles fans. I think, I mean, look, it helps that they have won back-to-back Super Bowls and beat them two years ago. Where it's like, I think you can have the argument of Jason being like,
I think I might root for the Eagles on this one. I don't know. It would be good banter too for the podcast. Yeah, and it's... I'm sure he'd be happy for his brother to three-peat. That's insane. But at the same time, it's not his first...
Super Bowl yeah if he's never won before exactly that's like then it'd be like oh you're not gonna root for your brother to win his first Super Bowl it's like no he's got plenty now it's like okay this is his fucking third one in a row yeah he's got plenty we'll root for the Eagles beat him in the Super Bowl yeah right exactly exactly I love that little banter for the pod yeah yeah yeah I think I think there will be for sure for sure little pod banter Noah how does I know everyone's like what jersey is he gonna wear what's he gonna show up to with the game all the whole things everything yeah
Noah, how was your weekend? The big dog meet and greet and people are bringing signs for you. People are flying out for you. What happened? What happened, man? There's such a movement. You've started something. I know. There were people messaging me like, oh my God, you didn't say how hot it was going to be here. Like all this. I'm like, hey, I'm happy that I convinced people to go. Did you get down on all fours and let people pet you?
No, maybe I should have. The breeds. Yeah, I was, I mean, someone running like one of the stations came up to me with her dog. Please,
I mean, it was great. Like it always is. I feel like every year it gets even more crowded somehow. Yeah. I got to stop talking about it. Yeah. Seriously. It's your fault. Right. Right. I love seeing those little pugs in their little costumes. Oh, yeah. How many views on your story? It did. Yeah. You know, it always does well. Numbies? Big numbies this weekend? Yeah. They're, you know. A lot of slidings? A lot of responses, you know.
Yeah, no, I always feel bad for the dogs that like, there's too many dogs to post. So then I have to like narrow it down. I'm like, who's getting cut from this? It's hard. And people are like, where are the Frenchies? I'm like, Frenchies have never done it for me. I don't know why. Frenchies are cute. They don't touch me. I love a Frenchie. They don't touch your soul. Yeah.
You're a big dog guy. I do love big dogs, but I like some small dogs. No greater, some mounted dogs. Again. Yet again. I mean. Some bullshit. I mean, I don't know what your mom, like, I don't know how your mom hasn't jumped on it. No, I know. But then I also think I'm like. Murray is the picture perfect dog. Like, we gotta get Murray in to meet the brief next year. That's what I'm saying. I know. Part of me is like,
He would have so much anxiety. What he... Sometimes I feel bad because sometimes I'm like, wow, this is like a crowd of 50 people for like...
however many hours the whole weekend. Like these dogs are just, I don't know. Sometimes I back off. I'm like, oh, you need some space. Yeah, it's true. I feel you. Is there any place for them to like go take a little break? I'm sure that they do. But the break is like, they put them in a crate like right behind the table. Right, right, right, right. I actually went because I went to the comedy show afterwards and then I went home after that because I felt like I had been like cheating on Murray all day. So I had to go say hi to him. How?
How was Andrew Santino? He's great. He's funny. He's always, yeah, he always kills it. Where'd you see him? The beacon. Oh, nice. Yeah. And I had like the, the first row of the second level, which is like, in my mind, if you're not in like the very front, like the best seats, like,
in the whole place because oh totally nothing is in your way totally um but yeah he was great also like nice thing about a comedy show is like it's over at like 9 30 yeah then you have the whole night yeah you do have you do have room in the night yeah i would love to see um one of those guys like like andrew santino i feel like it would be fun yeah no he's really good and uh
He like mixed in some like timely jokes. Some Luigi jokes. Yeah. Yeah. Timely. I laughed because I got a DM this on Saturday that was like, damn, you and Rhea really said you had no plans this weekend to dinner at Carbone, huh? We had, I had the dinner at Carbone came out of nowhere. It came out of, came out of,
nowhere at 6 p.m on Friday crazy so I had like a New York City bucket list restaurant weekend yeah sort of deal but um Friday night rolled around and we talked about some podcast we we had no plans and I was gonna sit in there and I said to Matt we were gonna like maybe cook we really want to make braised short rib ravioli so we were gonna maybe do that and then I was like wow
why don't we go somewhere? And I haven't been wanting to like really go anywhere in like the past two weeks. Like it's fucking freezing. And I'm like, whatever. And Matt was like, oh, you want to go somewhere? Yeah. He's like, let's go somewhere. He got really excited. He's like, let's make this happen. So I was like, I'm going to go take a shower. Like we'll figure it out. I texted you. You said you had reservations somewhere with Joe. I was like, oh, maybe we'll meet for drinks after. I think we're going to head into the city and just find dinner somewhere.
Matt comes storming into the bathroom while I'm in the shower. He's like, I got us a reservation at Carbone. Whoever we want, whenever we want to go, let's go. And I was like, what? I'm like, what are you talking about? He's like, I made it happen. I'm like, what the fuck? Where? Who?
He's got a guy. What? Why? He's got a guy. Got a connection somehow. And I said to Fran, and I'm like, I'm texting you. You didn't answer. Matt's like, I'm calling Joe. I'm calling Joe. He calls Joe. He's like, Carbone. We're going to Carbone. He's got like this, all of a sudden, this new persona has taken over where he's like the connect guy. He was like, we're going to Carbone. Joe and I were walking to drink. So my phone was in my pocket because it was cold and I didn't have my phone out. And.
And Joe answers the phone and he's like, oh, what? Carbone? What time? And I was like, I turned my head and looked at him and I was like, what? I'm like, who are you even talking to? He was like, it's Matt. I'm like, I was like, what? What?
And then you texted me. You were like, yeah, that sounds amazing. Let's fucking go. Like, duh. Let's go to Carbone. I was like, I'll cancel my dinner reservation. It was not like it was nothing special. But let me tell you, up until we arrived at Carbone, I didn't think this reservation existed. Right, right, right. I thought the same thing, too. And Matt, he played it off so cool because the whole way there, he's like, no, we got it. We're in. We're in. I'm like, are we? Like, where did what? What happened? And I'm like, what? What the fuck?
the fuck do you mean we're in? We show up. He says his name. They're like, yep. You know, you'll be ready. And I'm like, he's like, he's like, I gotta be honest. The entire way here, I was fucking sweating thinking to myself, we're going to show up and this reservation doesn't exist. And Fran and Joe canceled their other reservation. But he really just reached out to somebody and he was like, I took a shot in the dark.
and I just reached out to someone and asked and it happened. It's got a guy. And I'm like, that's fucking awesome. So the dinner was fantastic. Dinner was delicious. Was that your first time? My first time. Yeah, first time for dinner. I went there during COVID, like lunch. Like it wasn't the same menu, like different scenario, but first time inside, like eating dinner. Absolutely delicious. Great bread, super good.
Sneaky one of my favorite things was the clams. The assorted baked clams. Assorted baked clams. So good. It was delicious. The oparm. Oh, man. It was just a classic Italian night. The one thing is, I will say, the spicy rigatoni, it's delicious. Yeah. But...
They, it's just done by so many places now. It's not like, and they definitely were like one of the first. Yeah. Their thing. But, and it is, it is very, very good. It is. But, you know, it's like you've had it. You've had it. Right. There's other things on the menu that are absolutely delicious. Other things I thought were really good. It was so good though. Caesar was delicious. Yeah. Great night. Italian night. Wine filled. Lots of fun. Delicious espresso martini as well. Delicious. Yeah. Little cinnamon on top. Nice stuff.
And then the next day we woke up lazy Saturday morning. We're like, why don't we go back into the city for lunch? There's this place I've been wanting to try, Hillstone, because apparently they have a great French dip. Yeah. So we were being really lazy Saturday morning, like really taking our time. We hadn't eaten yet. And I was getting like slow to get ready, whatever. And by the time we even end up in the city, it's like two o'clock. Yeah. Okay. And we both of us still haven't eaten yet.
We show up at Hillstone. I'm thinking, I've read online, like, if you show up to two people with no reservation, they usually could squeeze you in. We show up, no. It's actually been out of this world this week. Recently, my friends have tried to go, too. We're like, you go at a time, you try to put your name just to be on the wait list to sit at the bar, and they're like, nope, wait list full. Yeah, they were like, the wait list is full, done. So I was like, oh, my God. It's crazy. So we get back in the car, and...
I'm like, we were going to maybe go to S&P, which is just a good launch place. And then I'm looking at the map and Don Angie comes up and I'm like, so for those who don't know, Don Angie is a restaurant in New York City that is quite literally impossible to get into. You cannot get a reservation. If you just like walk in, they don't take you. It's a whole thing. But I looked online and it said if you show up like a half hour before opening, you're
you have a high chance of getting in. Like just sitting at the bar and getting food. So at this point, it's like now closer to like 2.30, between 2.30 and 3. They open at 3.30. So I'm like, you want to go to Don Angie? Try it out? But I said, listen,
I'm at the point of being so hungry that it's not going to be fun in this car very soon. So Matt was like, all right, let's grab a hot dog on the street to hold us over. And he's like, this is ridiculous that we're getting a hot dog before we possibly eat Don Angie. But we'll get a little dirty water dog to hold us over. So we grab a hot dog on the street. We park right in front of Don Angie, get in line at three o'clock, opens up at 3.30, boom, sat right at the bar. Nice. Fantastic. Amazing. Fantastic meals. How many people were in line?
There was only like six people in front of us. Okay, not bad. And some of those people were really just trying to get reservations for later because you can wait in line and ask for reservations for later. So only like
two people in front of us actually wanted to sit down at 3 30 yes who's going like really who's going to eat at 3 30 such an awkward time lucked out for us that we hadn't eaten yet so we were fucking starving yeah and it's such a heavy meal but um it's it's one of those places it's impossible to get into like you try you try you try you can't get into it and i had people message me being like how'd you get in i'm like i like how'd you get a reservation i'm like i did not you have to wait in line a half hour before it opens and then you could possibly get in but
But I went in with lower expectations because it is one of those places that's really hyped up. So I was like, I know it's going to be good, but I don't know if it's going to blow me away, which is fine. I'm just looking for a solid meal. Yeah.
It blew me away. I thought it was really good. Fucking fantastic. The Buffalo milk caramelly, which is like a Buffalo milk. We're both the ravioli with like a brown butter sage sauce, but the brown butter sage like sits for a long time. He told me the guy because the bartender was talking to me about it. It's not like a, the taste is something I've never tasted before. It was absolutely incredible. One of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in my life. The lasagna.
It was amazing. The dessert, incredible. I bought the cookbook because I was like, I got to learn how to make this stuff because this is just incredible. Yeah, it is. It is really, really good. But it was such a solid meal. And it was like a New York City restaurant bucket list weekend. Living in New York my whole life and having gone to these restaurants, which it was a great experience.
a great weekend for New York City. Hell yeah. You know what I mean? It's amazing. Yeah. Love it. Good stuff. Love it. Good Italian food weekend, yeah. What a weekend. Yeah, it was. It was a solid, it was a solid-ass weekend. I got the Bouncy House booked.
Different one though. It's pink and it has a slide. Amazing. And it's cute and I love it. Hopefully it shows up. I don't know. It's a sketchy website. No, it'll be there. I assume all Bouncy House websites are sketchy. 100%. I've actually never seen a well put together website for a Bouncy House. Never. So, yeah. Yeah. I'm excited to go. I'm excited to get into February. So true. So true. All right. All right. February it is. February soon. Right around the corner. Back to the Super Bowl. There.
She blows. Yep. All right. Let's get into the rest of the show. We will be talking about Timothee Chalamet on Saturday Night Live. Timothee Chalamet. Chalamet. First round of Grammy performers were announced. We also have an interview with Parvati Shallow, reality TV legend. And we have weekly watch reports. So let's get into the topics.

This is his third time. He's going to be a five-timer very soon. It was his third time on Saturday Night Live, and...
the first time I laughed at Saturday Night Live in a while, I have to be honest. From start to finish, well, I fell asleep before it was almost done, I'm not going to lie. Yeah. It got late. Yeah, yeah, it was late. I was still in a food coma from Don Angie. Yep. But I thought he was fantastic. He's so funny, like he should be a cast member. He was. I did see a lot of people being like, is he just like so charming and funny or worthy, you know? It's like, it's so fair, but...
I thought he was fantastic. I thought his monologue was great. You know, the jokes about losing out on these big awards. Some sketches are... Unsavable? Are tough. For sure. Some of them, I'm just like, after watching the SNL documentary, which we'll talk about on Weekly Watchport, and the thought and everything that went into the early years of SNL, even early to, you know, 2010s. Yeah. Yeah.
Compared to now, I'm like, what has happened? Why? How are these sketches making it through? The AI sketch. Yeah, it went on for so long. Was so bad. Which one was that? With the teacher. And Timothee Chalamet. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That one was so bad. Yep.
Yep. I did like the... The Medcast? I liked the exercise one. Exercise one was hilarious. I thought the exercise one was great. I also really liked the coffee shop one. It was good. He was good in that, too. The one without him, the Medcast, I thought was very funny. Yeah, that was funny. The podcast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was funny. That was really funny. I was like, that's a good idea. Really good idea. The dog one, horrendous. Like, so bad. Um...
Oh, man. I mean, then there's, like, some is just, like, it is going to make people laugh because it's so ridiculous. But, like, when he was, did you catch someone at the end where he was the doctor? I saw it online. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know. Just farting in the person's face. Yeah, not my forte. Not my forte. I don't want to see Timothy in that way. In my mind, he doesn't poop. Oh, man. And then he performed as Bob, like, not as Bob Dylan, but he performed Bob Dylan...
Definitely not his more well-known stuff. That was shocking to me. Because I think... At least I went in being like, well, he's going to play songs that he played in the... Those songs weren't in the movie. No, he like... Apparently, Timothee played some of his more obscure songs that he... Which is fair because I actually did... I was like, I don't know what he's saying. But also, he wasn't like fully in character. Like he...
he sounded like Timothy singing Bob Dylan songs, which is different from the movie where he sounded like Bob Dylan singing Bob Dylan songs. Well, the second one, I felt like he sounded more like Bob Dylan. Yeah, he had like a little twang. Yeah, yeah. Like a tiny bit, but it was still like, he wasn't like fully in person. He's probably out of it, you know what I mean? Like he's being Timothy right now, so it's probably hard to jump back into Bob. I love the little Adam Sandler cameo to do Timothy Chalamet. Shout out to Nikki Glaser for making that happen. You know what I mean? Love it. Would that happen without Nikki? Who's to say?
So yeah, Timothy's great. He's hilarious. But SNL as a whole, you know, is never going to be like what it, or maybe they will one day, but it's just tough. It's really hard. But the exercise one was cracking me up. And he's like, ladies, if you got a tampon in, we're going to push that shit up an extra inch. Jimmy Carter. Oh, I rubbed, I rubbed a lot of people in the wrong way. Really? Yeah. I thought it was like a good risk. Yeah. Comedy wise. Yeah. I think comedy wise,
Comedy-wise, SNL, they don't really push the envelope too far anymore. And I thought that that was like, you know, one way to do it. No, I agree. That was a funny...
That was a funny character. Yeah. That character was great. No, I was laughing. I think the Oscars are missing out on not having him perform, if that's not going to happen now. Why not have Timothy perform as Bob Dylan? Have Ariana Grande go up there and sing? Because then they'd probably have to have the Amelia Perez performances, and that would be a disaster. Yeah. Because, I mean, they're not like those...
aren't nominated for anything. No, I know. I'm just saying it's like he's up for best actor. I'm just saying.
I think he has a good chance of winning. Do you think he has a good chance of winning? I think, yeah. I feel like Adrian Brody will win. I guess I didn't see that. I've never seen it, but I just have this feeling that three and a half hour film, Oscars, Adrian Brody. I just feel like this is the Oscars time to get it right with Timothy and not do what they did to Leonardo where he goes his whole career and people are like, how is he still not won? It's like, give it to him now. Not for when he wrestles a bear
Right, because when he won for the Revenant, it was like, well, he has to win now. But he had more deserving, I feel like. But I haven't seen Adrian Brody, so I can't... I'm sure he was good. Yeah, yeah. I know, like... Although AI... Right, I mean, I don't know. I think some people are not... I don't know if it hurts that not, like... A Complete Unknown was well-received, but some people...
didn't love like the whole movie but like just has this performance so yeah their movies are like aren't great no i agree i mean at the end of like zoe's l down he was probably like she's probably gonna watch best actress i mean she she's like the favorite to win best actress like i just keep not about supporting supporting actress um which is just how did snl not do a skit about amelia perez like they should have made fun of that yeah it's actually like hard because that
scene where they're singing it already feels like a skit yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it definitely it definitely does um I think Kylie joined for some after party stuff yeah she was in the audience at SNL some people got some shots of her I think she sat like higher up yeah but
You know, Timothee Chalamet, he'll get me to tune into anything. No, really true. My whole day, I was like, Timothee Chalamet. Seriously, and we were all watching live, which I know we were like texting about it. Doesn't happen often. We were all really watching Saturday Night Live. Live, right. We were there, locked in. Also very cool, Marcelo has been wearing, he wore it last, I think maybe in a sketch last week, and then-
Towards the beginning of the show, there was a T-Mobile commercial with Kenan and him. And he's wearing one of my brother's necklaces from his... So cool. He has some, you know, jewelry. Brand, line, part of the bigger...
brand that my parents and him do together in his JB3 line where he has his sunglasses and he's also been doing jewelry and it's like a really cool beaded necklace and we're watching the commercial I was like oh my god that's the necklace very cool I like Marcelo because of his voice
He has a cool voice. He has a cool voice. He has a cool voice. Yeah. That I find to be interesting. Yeah. I could like listen to him talk and joke. I find it to be interesting. He's very funny. I wanted him and Timothy to do another rap, but- I know. I know. They didn't. I know. And that made me sad. I feel like they could have done more together. I know. I was disappointed by that. Yeah. Didn't happen, but- Yeah.
Classic Timothy. We'll watch him do anything. Moving on, the first round of Grammy performers were named. Sabrina Carpenter is a big, this is a big time Grammy performance. Let me tell you for all these people. Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie XCX, Chapel Roan, Billie Eilish, Benson Boone, and Dochi, which I mean, fantastic lineup. Like, I don't know who else I would, like, that is a great lineup. Did you say Shakira?
No, I didn't see Shakira. There's more than that, yeah. Shakira, Charli XCX, Benson Boone, Doji Ray, Teddy Swims. Yeah. Teddy! We're like, yay! Yay! Yep, yep. And then it says more artists will be announced in the coming days. That's sick. Like, that is a great lineup for the Grammys. I know it is. I mean, they got... Ugh. I think...
I will be so disappointed. No, I know it's probably the same way you feel if there isn't. Get Beyonce and Miley on that. Did you see, though, that there was a commercial last night where there were like Grammy special appearances and Beyonce and Taylor Swift were in it, apparently like in the commercial? Oh, really? I know Beyonce. I think it was Taylor Swift, too. Yeah.
I know, but they're nominated, so maybe it's just because they'll be there. Yeah, Beyonce and Taylor Swift are set to attend 2025 Grammys. Yeah, well, I mean, set to attend. Of course they are. 2025. 2025. 2020, 2025. Yeah. Like, of course they're going to be... Yeah, they're nominated. They're going to be there. It's just such a miss if we never get a live Beyonce and Miley duet. I...
Couldn't agree more I couldn't agree more This is the place to do it It would be It really would be The place to do it But yeah It's a really good lineup And it's gonna be Fantastic And that's kind of What we expected Right going into it It was like look The girls had such An amazing year That you gotta get them On the Grammy stage For sure It's gonna be incredible I'm so excited for the Grammys Yeah That's The commercial said Beyonce Taylor Swift Joined Sunday And a very special guest Is that Miley? Ooh Yeah but that's not Yeah
I hope they do it. I hope Beyonce performs. When was the last time Beyonce performed at the Grammys? At the Grammys? Yeah, like I wonder. I'm sure she's obviously done it, but I'm just like, has it been like a really long time? 2017, it looks like. Is that really 2017? 2017 is, it's... Kind of makes sense. It's a while ago. I don't remember her doing it in recent years. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, right? Like...
So, I don't know. Fingers crossed. I really hope that happens. Me too. I really, really hope that happens. Oh, I'm so excited for Teddy. I know. I can't wait to watch a magical human sing. I know. He'll probably lose control. It'll be beautiful. Oh, it'll be gorgeous. I know. That's fantastic. Love it. All right. Well, that wraps up the topics. All right.
Alright, let's get into the Weekly Watch Report where we talk about the things we watched this week. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. Weekly Watch Report on Monday. Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay. Alright, let's get into the things we watched this week. Okay, where did I write this down? Alright, let's start off. I watched Enora.
Okay. I thought it was really good. Solid. I don't know if I loved it as much as everybody else did, but I thought it was really good. I'll give it a B+. Fair. You think she could win? I do. You don't? What, to me? Oh, right. Yeah. I don't.
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. When you say, can they win? I'm like, yeah, they're nominated. But like some people just have no shot. Also the guy in it is nominated. Yeah. She's really good. And I actually, she doesn't have any social media. I know. Did you guys notice that? No social media. Which I think is cool. No, it is cool. She wrote a note about a Nora on like the production company. Like they posted it for her because she doesn't have any social media, which is, which is cool. Yep. Um,
substance yeah i wanted to watch this film movie so bad i wanted to really like this movie i was so interested in this movie but my stomach couldn't do it i yeah it couldn't yeah it's yeah i i understand physically i couldn't do it like i don't know why it was making me and it might have been because it was like right after the don angie is it that like graphic yeah
Yeah. In my personal opinion. I tried to warn you of like, I was like, you're going to see Morgan Crawley just like come out. Like Demi Moore's just body splits open. Like it's like, it's really, and then you just see their butt. Like it's really, it is, it's grotesque. It is. It is grotesque. And I was fully warned and I knew that going in, but I thought, okay, you could do it for the film. What got you? Like, what was like your last straw? I got to turn it off. The, the,
The changing of the bodies. Yeah. The first time, you know. It's also like if you're not a needle person. I mean, nobody really is. I mean, I hope you're not a needle person. I don't think a lot of people are needle people. But there's a lot of needles. Really? There is. I always turn away when I see it. No, no. There's a lot. Oh, it's a lot. And like needles going in when you're like, ooh. Well, let me just say when she's in the... And this is a really good movie. Yeah. It is. It is.
that's why i am almost mad at myself but there's a point like it's there's a point where you have to save yourself that you that they want people to have though like watching this like they were like they made it as grotesque as possible no i couldn't i couldn't finish it and like it was really good and and we were interested but i literally like was getting nauseous like yeah it's i don't i think it's just like the kind of you get
And usually I'm pretty... Like, I'm not... It is not for the faint of heart. With blood and stuff, I don't really get, like, freaked out or anything. When she was in the doctor's office for the first time and he was touching her spine and I was like, please do not tell me they're about to show him, like, putting a needle in her spine right now. And they didn't. And I was like, oh, thank God. Yeah. Yeah, you had no idea what was coming. And I had no idea what was coming. And I just...
There also was something about the zoom in on Dennis Quaid's teeth. Yeah. That really was like setting me over the edge. Like, like, like the, the move, the transferring of the bodies was fucking gross and all that. The zoom in on Dennis Quaid's mouth constantly. I, I was like, I'm going to puke. Like he played that character. So he was really good. Yeah. He was really good too. Yeah. But yeah, I don't even know. Oh, my dad texted me. Um,
Tell Fran congratulations. I see Eagles. I think Fran. Thank you. Thank you. I would like to be synonymous with the Eagles, you know? Like just... When you see the Eagles, you think Fran. I see Eagles. I think Fran. Same.
It's hard to grade because I didn't finish it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I wouldn't say it's a bad movie. It's just disgusting. I mean, to be honest, I think you just got to write did not finish. Did not finish. Did not complete. Incomplete. Yeah, write an incomplete grade for that. Incomplete. She got an incomplete grade.
I look I don't blame you it is it's it's a tough watch I watched it by myself for a reason because I knew Joe would not be able to watch it like I was like I can't if I could if I attempt to watch this with him like he will he won't be able to do it so like I just had to watch it by myself
Yeah. Yeah, it's... Yeah. I understand why it's nominated, though. I'm going to watch it tonight. You should. I mean, it's a good movie. It's just... It's a gross horror. Gross. Like, it's disgusting. I understand why it's nominated. It is really good. It's just... You have to be able to handle... I heard Marga Qualley's really good. She's great. She is. Both of them are great. They're both... Everybody is great in it. SNL documentary, all four episodes. Ooh. Love. I haven't gotten back to watching any of them. I love...
You watched the only first one? I only watched the first one. I started the first one. Do you guys remember when that cowbell sketch came out? What year was that again? I don't remember when that came out. No, I don't think so. That must have been really early 2000s. Why am I blanking on the year I literally just watched? Cowbell. 2000. Yeah. Okay, so I don't remember it obviously coming out because I was fucking three years old. Three years old, yeah. But I guess I thought I came out later because my dad would always...
I always recite this sketch. Like, yeah, growing up, always like, I got a fever and the only prescription is more cow. But like, so I remember seeing the sketch and like my parents always laughing about and talking about it. There's a whole episode just about this sketch. And Jimmy Fallon says is like the best thing he's ever been a part of because he was like one of his first sketches he was ever in. And he breaks. It's like the first time, you know, because Jimmy Fallon was known for like breaking and laughing in SNL.
Which I love. Some people have like their... It was funny when Lin-Manuel was trying to crack up in the... I love that. Like, I think it's like adds an element, makes you laugh. It's like the giggles, you know, when you get... Like Jimmy Fallon compared it to like when you get the giggles in a classroom, but just a hundred times worse. Yeah. Like, because you're on live TV. And so that was fantastic. I really love that documentary. I would give that a B+. I thought it was solid.
I love knowing the inner workings, the auditions, how people get involved. Pete Davidson's audition looked horrendous and he was watching it being like, how did I get cast in this show? I don't know how people do it to an empty room. Like, that's crazy.
Like auditions? Yeah. Well, yeah. I mean, there are people in the room. There are people there. Silence. Yeah. They said they don't really laugh. Yeah. That's a thing they talk about a lot is they don't really laugh. So that has to be uncomfortable because you think you're bombing, but really you make it through. Solid. Love Island All Stars. Pretty solid, too. I'll give this a B. I'm enjoying it. Same. Traders. Traders.
Fantastic. Good episode. A. Solid A for traitors. Great episode. Can we talk about it for a second? Like, what is Danielle doing? That made no sense. I don't know. She's maybe one of the worst traitors ever. It was really bizarre to throw Carolyn's name out there. Really bizarre. It didn't feel like it made sense. If anything, I don't know why the strategy wouldn't be try and... I guess she just doesn't... She just thinks Carolyn's too much of a wild card for...
I feel like she's getting paranoid because Boston Rob got a traitor out. No, but that's 100%. But I think it would be – I think you got to try and take a shot at Rob or try and do – work together with Carolyn, and then maybe there's a way that you can get people on the Boston Rob scent, and then you could – if you get him out, you could potentially recruit a new traitor. Just because especially having –
If you are a traitor and you make it to the end and you win, you know, and then they're like, if there's any deliberations or whatever happens, like Rob is going to screw all of them over, you know? So it's like. Her during the challenge like was so weird where she was giving everyone free like shields. I mean every performance she's had has been really weird. So, I mean, they have got to be on to her. How does her name not get brought up?
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. They were really stuck on Nikki. They were all really stuck on Nikki. Poor Rochelle was like so upset about that. And then how about Tom being like, I respect it. I know you don't like me, but I respect it. I know you don't like me, but... After that, she was like, that makes me feel so much worse or something. Yeah, it was a great rubbing salt in the wound. You don't need Tom. If you hear Tom Sanderwell telling you he respects a movie you made, you're like, fuck! Fuck!
I made the wrong move. I saw a funny post of someone being like, it quotes like, I'm really good at reading energy, like said by the person who never guesses a train right. Like it's just... That Harry Potter line was so funny. Oh my God. He is... I mean, look, he's been entertaining because he has been a joke. Like he's just, he has no idea what's going on. I saw a tweet, um...
Tom Sandoval's reactions have been so funny because I think he actually thinks people are murdered when they're...
I saw people being like, he's playing the game as if he's trying to find out if he's a traitor. It's hilarious. No, he has no idea what's going on. No, he doesn't. It's incredible. I love Ciara on this show because I thought it was bullshit that they tried saying she was a traitor just because she curses a lot. I know, that was weird. And I was like, that's so bizarre. What a bizarre... I guess you're trying to find any... You're trying to find any reason to call somebody out for being a traitor. Yeah. But like...
That's just how Ciara talks. Like, I don't know. I thought that was bizarre. What did you think about Wes and Rob? And Wes kind of was like immediately like, I didn't see her name. I didn't see her name. Yeah. I mean, if you're Wes, if you're Wes, you don't want Boston Rob wanting you out. Let me tell you.
We're watching a battle of the greats between Wes and Boston Rob. I was like biting my nails at TV. Like, what am I watching right now? Oh my God. Wes and Boston Rob fighting. I thought I was like, I was like, you know, uh, what is it? Why am I blank? I literally was about to say something. We just blanked out fever, fever dream. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like,
Watching two of your favorite shows combined on TV. It's like two heavyweights. Yeah, like what? Like two heavyweight champs dueling it out. It was incredible. No, really, totally. I felt bad for Nikki. That was a tough one. But it just...
I don't think no matter what it was going to be Nikki or Ciara, like they had to – I don't think the Faithfuls were ever going to drop the whole coffin thing of like, oh, one of them's got to be a – you know, now I feel like maybe this will make them think that none of them were. But I don't know. Ciara's been fighting a lot. I think they're on to Boston Rob next.
Because now Derek's on to Boston Rob. Yeah, like I don't know how you can't be. And if you're Derek and you're Wes and you're together like me and Boston Rob. Sam said that, I think. He's like, if you don't, like after tonight, you're next or something. Yeah, Sam was like, I'm going for him next if he's not dead. So I think Boston Rob might be next. Did Sam vote for Rob? No, he voted for Nikki. Oh, he did. But he said if he wasn't dead like after that night. Yeah, right, right, right. That he'd be. Yeah, yeah, yep. Dylan Efron writing Gabby's name down.
Love it. Lone Wolf. So random. I think he's kind of like, I know. He has a big ego now. He's like, I know this game. Right. He was feeling himself a little bit. He's like, I'm throwing out. I'm like, you know what? I just think it's Gabby. Gabby was like, I'm dead. Did you see that post that Rob made about him and Dylan with the backwards hats? Yeah. Classic. Solid episode. And then the last thing I watched was...
Which I thought was incredibly boring. It was the Dirty Pop documentary on Netflix about the boy bands. Ooh, I didn't watch, yeah. I didn't, like, I didn't see that. I watched most of it, but I was like, this is boring. I'll give it, like, a C-. Okay, fair. I also didn't grow up in the same...
time period as like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys and stuff. Yep. You know? Yep. Totally. Like obviously I can appreciate. It's just a little bit before your time. Right. A little bit. I just remember it on the radio. No for sure because I could appreciate the songs. Yeah like it wasn't we were even for me I like I loved I was more of an NSYNC gal.
But I was young. Like, it's like when you're, like, you're still little. Like, it wasn't like we were teenagers going through full teenage heartthrob. No. Being obsessed with them. And the Backstreet Boys was in the 90s. Yeah. And it's the same. So was NSYNC. Justin Timberlake left NSYNC in 2002. So, yeah. Right. And NSYNC was also in the 90s. Like, I was born in 1997. So it was just, like, a little bit more. I just remember getting, like, one of my first NSYNC albums.
CDs to play on my boombox I was like you know seven it's like I was young it was like Britney Spears and those were like the two that I liked but it wasn't but I wasn't like the craze doesn't hit you the same because you're obviously you're seven like you're like the music is fun but right because I didn't grow to love Britney Spears until I was a bit older because Britney Spears was also just a tad bit yeah for sure before for sure me because her first Hit Me Baby One More Time was released
1998. Yep. So... She had her second wind with, like, Womanizer. Remember that? Yeah. That whole thing? Yeah, but, like, I, you know, like...
Obviously everyone grows to love Britney Spears at whatever age. I went to the circus tour. Wow, really? That's sick. So it was just a little bit before. My first CD was Lindsay Lohan's Speak. You guys were now. Did you guys listen to the now CDs? I feel like we've talked about this. No, I wasn't a censored child. A what? A censored child. What? Because now had like the censored versions of songs. Yeah.
Yeah, I guess that's true. Yeah, we didn't really have so many good songs. Yeah, they did. That's it for me. Okay, I'll give Love Island All Stars a I'm going to be plus it's good. I'm enjoying it. I'm locked in. I think I think Catherine I hope Catherine finds somebody for her because I think she's so cool and I hope I'm not I don't think I'm spoiling anything at this point because I know I watch ahead of the peacock a little bit but
Catherine and Luca, I love their friendship. I think they're very, very sweet. I love to see Grace came in. She's a great love islander. I feel like she always ruffles some feathers and she's stunning. So everybody's going to have some interest. But they're putting in some good people. There's been some good established couples recently.
It's been interesting to see Curtis and Ekansu maybe hit a little bump. I don't know. We'll see how it goes, but I think that was maybe Curtis' first glip into Ekansu. I think Ekansu might be a little nuts. Do we think Ekansu is just playing into the reality? She's like, we need to fight. Yeah, I don't know. I think she's so entertaining. I love her, but the way she handled...
The kissing stuff was like... Well, that's why I'm like, is she just doing this because she's like, we're on reality TV and we need to have a fight? Totally. Or like, she just... She was like, well, I saw what you did, so I just wanted to get back at you. It's like, okay, all right. That's the game we're playing. That's the game we're playing. But it's been good. Buffalo! Once again, it's been like, it's been fine. Give it a C plus. Like just chugging along. Interested to see, you know, kind of what plays out more with Dorit and Kyle. Kind of a weird episode from Kyle. I think, um,
I think Kyle's kind of lashing out because she does know that like Dorit would be mad about a text that she had sent to PK. Like I think Kyle tried to spin the text in a way that like wasn't really that believable. Like she said to PK, you know, you know, you could always talk to me basically. Like I wouldn't say anything like, and she had, she had said that like, oh, when they text, it's like not that serious. They send each other memes, like blah, blah, blah.
I mean, that's, like, Dorit's going to interpret that as, you know, oh, you can, her being like, you can tell me something I'm not going to tell Dorit, you know? She tried to say, it was like, oh, I wouldn't tell, I wouldn't tell, like, production, like, the show. It's like, well, that doesn't matter. Like, what does that have to do with anything? So she, there's a little bit of a, little bit of a spiral. Salt Lake City finale part one, great. I'll give it a, I'll give it a B plus because I feel like they always,
or reunion, I should say, the reunion, it always ramps up. And it's a three-part reunion. So it's always interesting to see when the husbands get involved. I mean, they were arguing for like 10 minutes about whether Bronwyn actually bought a $4 million necklace. And she's like, no, I bought a smaller version. And Lisa's like, well, the jeweler reached out, like,
Emma I know Emma and Emma texted me is that you never bought the jewelry and like just like that just you know it's just it's really it's ridiculous but it's it is very entertaining I caught all the way up on Real Hostels of New York because I saw people talking about the finale that the finale was like a very heavy episode and so I caught up and I watched and I made it all the way to the finale and yeah I
Yeah, it was heavy. I'm not quite sure what Brynn was thinking in that scenario for everybody else that has been caught up and been watching it. My heart breaks for her because that is so terrifying to go through the scenario that she did. She opened up about being sexually assaulted. And there were some comments made by Uba that...
Like she said, oh, maybe like they were fighting and she said, oh, maybe you slept with somebody to get this job. And like, obviously, that's gonna be very triggering for for Brynn. But the other ladies didn't know about Brynn's experience. And Brynn kind of said it in a way later that night that made it sound like.
She had told Uba what she had been through and that Uba had still said those things. So everybody was really emotional, crying. They were like, I can't imagine Uba would do. Uba lost her shit, like crying, freaking out. Was like, I swear I didn't know. I swear I didn't know. And then apparently like off camera, it had seemed that Brynn maybe walked it back a little bit and was like, oh, well I said it like while I was saying all these other things. Like maybe she didn't clock it.
And then all the girls are like, all right, this is maybe a little fishy. So it's tough. I'm not sure what Britta's going to say about that when the reunion comes around. It's hard to give, like, oh my God, drama. It was really heavy, really heavy. I watched the last...
Six episodes, basically. Because that's how far I was behind on it because it wasn't really that good. I'll give it a B, I'll say. Towards the end. No. That's a little generous. C plus, maybe. Fair. Yeah. Okay. Special forces. Correspondent reporting for duty. The last two episodes...
Last two episodes, I will give a B. I thought they were good. Crazy what they put these people through. I know I say it every time, but they had to do like a gas chamber, basically, that if they had gotten...
released into an area with with toxic gas and they had to go in and like take their gas masks masks off and experience the full effect of it and like try and unlock a safe and get this out i mean people cam newton took his mask off tried to break down the door immediately to get out and they did it in pairs so like you're basically quitting on your partner that you're doing it to was like was not happy was not happy about that um
Carrie Hart has been really good. Ex-motocross guy, married to Pink. Really, really good. And impressed with the ladies. Christy, Kyla Pratt's still crushing it. It's tough because for somebody like Kyla, she's failed basically every mission that they've had.
But she's like, I got to give her credit for still being there. You know, like that's, that's, that's still crazy. Traders, I'll give an A, solid. Watched the Avicii documentary. Thought that was really well done. Like really, really well done. So sad, but also like took me back to a time in my life that was like really just insane.
Like, experiencing all that. Like, I was just remembering those moments and those concerts and, like, being there. And, like, I saw Avicii a couple times. And it was just, like, just really so great. And those... My... Ugh. Those songs are just so fucking good. Mm-hmm. And what a talent. Like, I don't think I... You know, you fully...
realize all the work that goes into it and the ear and the talent that he had and just obviously so sad and how that all ended but seeing like even the footage of him so much so much of him really that like I didn't know even like they had and seeing Chris Martin and people like that yeah yeah totally I'll give it an A minus I thought it was really good
I watched Conclave, trying to get through some of the Oscar movies here and such. You know, not blown away. It's a little boring. That's what it looks like to me. A little boring. Like the last 30 minutes I thought was interesting. And honestly, a twist at the end that I was pretty surprised by. Did not see that coming.
Ralph Fiennes is great in it, so I understand like his... Ralph. Yeah. Ralph Fiennes is great, so I understood like his nomination. It was very interesting because it is like... It's such an interesting premise, right? Of like them deciding who's going to be the next pope. But this was obviously what I would think to be, I don't know, a little more progressive view of...
I, I, the Catholic church, I don't know what kind of battles they're having out when they, when they do have to find a new Pope. And I'm sure it is similar in some ways, but also like, you know, there was like going behind people's backs, exposing potential, like, uh,
to delegitimize people from getting the Pope nomination, all these things. So there's other things going on that was interesting. But I'll give it a B minus. Like it was definitely the first hour I was like, all right, I don't, this is moving slow. So that was that. The White House,
The Wild Robot, A. Oh my God. I talked about it a little bit last week. Fucking love this movie. Cried my eyes out. Great movie. I almost put that on, but then I was like, I'm not in the mood to be sad. It's streaming on Peacock now. Oh, good. So you can stream it instead of having to rent it. Wish I knew that. It went on streaming a day after I rented it, but that's okay. Yeah.
it it is it tugs it just tugs at your heartstrings it really does and um it's a great a great story loved it beautiful yeah yeah uh and that's that's everything i watched okay i watched uh severance i watched the finale of season one and now i'm caught up the first two episodes of season two uh it's way better now like i'm way more into it now um
Now What's Happening Season 2. I'll give it an A-. It is really good. Solid. And once you're more attached to the characters and everything. I watched this movie called The Order that came out last year with Jude Law, Nicholas Holt. About this true story about these white supremacists and the FBI trying to take them down. It was good. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen. And I feel like I've seen very similar movies to it.
I'll give it a B-. Jude Law is really good. I feel like it's interesting to see him in this role. I feel like I don't really see him in serious roles that often. Then I watched Traitor's
Episode 5, give an A-. Just solid. I'm very into it. I've actually been skimming season 2 in between these new episodes because I'm like, I need to get Trader's Fix. Yeah, season 2. I feel way more attached to season 3 characters. I'm way more into this cast. Season 2, maybe it's just me. I don't know a lot of these people, so I'm not really as into it. It's a really fun show. It's a great show to binge because week to week is...
It's tough. Like, it's... They kind of leave on cliffhangers and whatever, so you, like, want to watch the next episode. So binging it is... Like, you can fly through it. I know. I wish... Like, I wish it just all came out. Right? Yeah. It's tough week to week. That's it. That's all I watched. Wow. Wow. Light week again for you. I did, like, start the first episode of SNL. Didn't watch it. And then I started...
the first episode of this game. It's called Game 7 on Prime where each episode is a different Game 7 in sports history. That's cool. Which is cool. But I didn't finish them. Light week. Light week. Spending time with the dogs. Yep. All right. That wraps up everything we watched. We are kicking off

All right, everyone. We are here with a very special guest. We are joined by reality TV show legend Parvati Shallow. You know her from Survivor, Traitors, and now Deal or No Deal Island. Welcome to the show, Parvati. Thank you for having me. We are so excited to have you. Like, you guys were just chit-chatting before we started, but...
I feel like a lot of our life has been Survivor, a lot of Survivor talk, variations of different challenges and things like that. So I loved it because it's been cool. And I think people that have watched Survivor and are such big fans of you saw a little bit
of you in Rio when she was going through the game. If only. And I'm saying it was like the biggest compliment ever. To me, I found it to be the biggest compliment in the world. Look, it's a new era. I say whatever version of Survivor that you're playing is very hard. And if you get to the end and then you win, you're a badass.
- Thank you. - No matter how you get there and how you play, if you get to the end and win, give yourself credit for that. - Thank you very much. - Absolutely, absolutely. - Well, you are the survivor queen, the legend, and I've been so excited and happy to watch you on other shows as well. Like when you were on "Traders," I was like, oh my God,
Yes, she's on Traders. Now, Deal or No Deal Island as well, which we're going to talk about all that. But I do kind of want to take it back from the beginning because you are releasing a memoir this year, Nice Girls Don't Win. Super, super excited to read that. But you talk about your time and how you even got to Survivor in the first place, right? Yeah. Can you give us a little background on that and how you even got into reality TV? Yeah.
Well, I grew up in a commune in Florida and it was run by this very powerful female guru. So my upbringing had a lot of these subtleties that you find in Survivor around like power, coercive control, manipulation, emotional manipulation, and like kind of this like, it was like a shadow world.
And so I went to high school, I was like, I really am super competitive. I wanted to win anything I put myself into, but I wasn't the fastest, I wasn't like the best athlete, but I had endurance. And then I was like, what can I win? And we did superlatives.
So one of the superlatives was friendliest. And I was like, well, that's my superlative. I'm going to win that one. So I like played high school like I played Survivor before I even knew Survivor existed. Then I go to college at Georgia and then moved to L.A. And I was like, I just want to be on TV. I want to host a travel show, something like that.
And I was in the circle of people and one of them was a casting associate for Amazing Race. And that was when they were doing a lot of recruiting. Now they don't do that. Now they cast like super fans of the show. But at that time I was competing as an amateur boxer and a bartender. I was working as a bartender. Doing a lot. Yeah. And so they were like, oh, that's cool. Like you have a cool job. Like you're really friendly, really flirty. Yeah.
Let's put you on reality TV. So I went for Amazing Race and we got caught at the finals. But then they remembered me and asked me to do Survivor. So I went into the casting process for Survivor and it was wild. Wow.
Yeah, it was a completely different era. What was the process like for Survivor? Like how many rounds did you go through until you finally found out you were on? I had to move into the Doubletree Hotel in Santa Monica. And I do write these stories in my book. So it's like a bird's eye view. Right, right. Love it. So you'll get to a deep dive of these stories. But this was when they used to fly people out. So they'd have like 40 people staying at the Doubletree Hotel in Santa Monica. And...
Yeah.
And they would have us all get together in this conference room and watch episodes of Survivor. I'd never seen it before. And because they were recruiting so many people, a lot of people hadn't seen the show and didn't know what we were signing up for. So it was like a training. I felt like we were joining the CIA or something. Right, right, right. They're training us up. Initiation. Yeah. A little hazing. Yeah. And then we had this like barrage of psychological exams to take.
medical tests to do. And then they would just like randomly be cutting people throughout the process. So, and also for me, Rob has a funny story too about his time in the hotel. So you should ask him when you talk to him. But mine is I, we weren't allowed to leave, but I lived in Santa Monica. I was like, I got a job. I had a job working. I was a bottle service girl at the nightclubs in Hollywood. So I would make like a thousand bucks cash a night and
And I had to work one night. And I was like, I'm going to go. So I had my friend come pick me up. And I threw a towel over my head and ran out and jumped in her car. And she sped me off to work. And they called me for an interview when I was gone. It was like 9 o'clock at night. I was like, you guys can't be calling me now. It's too late. So then the next day, they called me in. And they were like, we know you left. And you don't even want to be here. So you can go. Pack your bags and go. And I was like, oh, man.
So I guess this means I can't be on the show. And they're like, nope, you did it to yourself. Yeah.
And so I left. I went home. I thought I was done. Like my chances were done. And then they called me like a week later and they're like, we still want you. This girl is actually perfect for TV. If she's going to break the rules and run out of here, we need her on TV. Exactly. That's so true. Yeah. That is the kind that you do kind of need to test how people react in those situations too. Like you find out, I'm sure a lot about,
the contestants or possible contestants of like, oh, well, she tried to leave. Like maybe she'll try and cross over some rules or loopholes and think about that. And you need players like that. So what would like if you're kind of your first experiences with Survivor, the show was during that time. Like, did you really get to watch a full season before you kind of went into the game? I did not watch a full season. Wow.
But Lynn Spillman was the casting director at the time, and she was like, you're like Stephanie LaGrosa, so watch her season. So I watched a few episodes, and I watched her be stranded by herself on an island because her whole tribe had been decimated. And I was preparing myself mentally for that, like basically naked and afraid. I was like, okay, I got to learn how to make a fire. I didn't know –
anything about the social game the first time I played. It was a real steep learning curve for me. And you picked up on it because I think, yeah, as a fan of Survivor and I think many fans of Survivor honor your social game, you know, to the highest degree because that's, I feel like, obviously physical aspects, you crushed every aspect but your social game is
is like top notch. And like you said, friendly, flirty, like all that people like want to trust you immediately, you know, even just sitting here talking to you. I'm like,
I would trust her. Yeah, we are best friends. I'm like, I would trust her right off the bat, even though I've watched her on TV before. Still got it. That's what Deal or No Deal was like for me. I was really nervous going in to play Deal or No Deal because I saw how Rob had been received in season one and he was targeted so hard and so fast. And I was like, oh man, I'm so used to getting targeted like that. I just wanted to be able to play this time. Yeah.
So I was like really lucky that people wanted to be my friend. Were you excited when like the boys were like, you were my biggest crush, Gwop? You're like, I got them right where I want them. Like a raptor on my finger. That's where the Black Widow nickname comes into play, right? Like it's like that's the perfect just, you just get them right where you want them. Just to catch them up in that web. Right. That is the difficult part though, like you mentioned Rob doing it and then also on Traitors as well.
People like sniff it out. Although it's, it's kind of now watching this season of traders. I don't know if you've been keeping up. Oh yeah. With Rob, you being a treat trader last season. I'm like, we were just talking about this. Like, how are they not watching going? Well, they had poverty as a trader and,
They probably have Rob as a traitor, too. Like, right. Traitors has to mix it up because they're just using all the survivor people. But people aren't catching on to that just yet. We haven't seen the rest of the season. Oh, but now what Rob has done at the roundtable. Oh, yeah. I put a big spotlight on it. Yeah, definitely did. But I do think it has been a good and it's a good strategy, too, because I was joking. I was like, I think some people go into traitors. They have really no no clue. But it's like.
In order for the game to work, you almost need somebody, Big Brother world, Survivor world, to be with the traitors and kind of guide the group in a way that makes sense. I can't imagine all the three Bravo people being traitors. They'd be like, who do we kill? I don't know if there'd be any strategy towards it whatsoever. That is true. Because it's like...
It's just such a fun show. All these shows are so fun to watch, but there's such a fun show to watch when you as a viewer obviously know what's happening and you're like, oh my God, the moves that they're making, they can't, are so good. They can't get these people into believing them. Were you surprised at kind of how long it took on Traders for people to start to suspect you?
Well, yes, because Larsa called me out at the table as soon as Alan had picked the traitor. So I was like, oh, boy, I already have heat on me. And I wasn't even a traitor at that point. So I was like, as soon as I became a traitor, I was just like, who? That was weird. And I started acting so weird. I was like glaring at everyone and pouting. And I was like, oh, I don't even know I do that face.
It's like when you, like if you smoke and then you're like, everyone knows I'm high. Yeah, that's exactly it. I felt like it was a fishbowl. Like I'd walk into the breakfast room and like time would slow down and everything would expand. And I was like, the lights are so bright and they're all pointing at me and everyone's looking at me and I'm being weird. And I would pick up the coffee and I'd be like, how do I...
- Pour a drink. You're like second guessing your movement. - How would a faithful pour this coffee right now? With Deal or No Deal Island, when you were approached to go on the show, were you hesitant or kind of all in to go back on to a new show? - Well, Deal or No Deal Island is like the goofiest name for a show. So I was like, what is this show? But I watched Rob on it because Rob's my guy, so I'm like, I love watching him play games, it's fun.
So I was like, okay, it's really fun. It's like you're glamping. You're in these like deluxe accommodations, being fed, being taken care of. It's kind of campy in the way that Traders is kind of campy. It's goofy. Joe Manganiello is the host and he's so perfect for the gig. Yeah.
And so it's like adventure, reality, but like kind of a movie at the same time. And I was like, yeah, I'm going to go for it. Because as soon as you get past the silliness of the name, the show is actually pretty complex. Yeah. And it requires a totally different way of understanding.
showing up and playing for me. So it was like a unique challenge. There are so many different elements to Deal or No Deal Island, like you mentioned. Like when you first hear that, you're like, how? OK, so it's just someone's just going to be on an island playing Deal or No Deal. Like what are the elements behind this? But there's so much that goes into it. What would you say is sort of the strategy in Deal or No Deal Island? Because like mentioning there's so many components, how do you attack this show?
I think, well, it's more of a – it's really different to playing survivor or even traders where you want to get out ahead of it. With Deal or No Deal, I wanted to sit back more and observe more and just allow the game to unfold. So it really required a lot of presence.
And sort of a yoga mind where it's just like be in the moment, watch this flow, watch this play out. I don't have a lot of control. The challenges matter so much and the challenges are constantly changing. So if you don't have control over your environment, then you have to just control the things you can, which is your own mindset and attitude. And then just do your best to control.
move the pieces around or influence people as much as you can so that they keep you safe and whoever your allies were. So I wanted to insulate myself with like a couple of really strong allies and then just let everyone else be kind of on the periphery. How do you even go about like looking at these other contestants and you're like,
Is it just off of those first initial conversations that you're picking those strong allies? Yeah. Well, instantly I clicked with David because he was survivor royalty from Australia. So I was like, oh, this guy is smart. He's a good gamer. I want to play with him.
as an ally not an adversary and then from there it is just who you click with in all these games that's how alliances are formed it's like you can't really form an alliance with someone that you don't vibe with for sure because you ultimately have to work together and
If you don't like the person, you don't want to listen to what they have to say. No, you don't want to spend any time with them. There's always going to be people who naturally gravitate towards one another and then some who don't. Like I really tried to make certain alliances with certain people and they fizzled out so fast.
Because we just had no affinity towards each other. We're recording. It is Tuesday, so there's a new episode tonight. Everybody that is listening will have already been able to see episode three. So they know what happened. But we are kind of back on episode two still. But you and Phillip were paired up. How was that dynamic?
Phillip and I were challenge beasts together. I love working with Phillip in a challenge because he's a Barry's Boot Camp instructor. So, you know, he's got the muscle. Yeah. Yeah, they're psychopaths. I'll be completely honest. Like, the Barry's people, like, those are the – Like, you know the jokes people make? I think it was, like, it was Benito Skidder's, like, first TikTok he made. It was, like, he went to, like, a workout class and was like, what are these women preparing for? Warf?
Like war? I'm so sorry. I've never been. Do the women know something we don't know? Like what is happening? And that's what I think about every time. Like Barry's is like crazy. It's crazy. So you know he's going to crush the competition. Yeah, the challenges. It's so funny because we were all traveling together to get to the island, but we're all wearing like face masks and hats because production didn't want us to see each other's faces before. They didn't want people to know that I was there.
Philip is head-to-toe dressed in Barry's Boot Camp gear. I'm like, that guy is a Barry's instructor. He did not try to hide it. So you didn't know really any of the people going on before you got onto the island? No, nobody. And I mean, everyone else is a newbie who hasn't played any, done any reality TV. Right, right. So yeah, I was like, okay, how do I...
How do I join forces with, like, the best person to have the best chance in the challenges? Because I felt like I needed to win every single challenge. And Phillip and I just clicked. He's so funny, too. He's really sharp and really funny. And he's strong. So I was like, you're my man. You ain't going nowhere. But I did it in a little different way than Sydney tried to do it with me. What was the difference in just, like, the...
And the amount of money is so huge, right? So it's funny because you go back and you look at like traders and you guys are playing for challenges. And a lot of the challenges in traders, like the most the group was banking was, you know, 10, 15, $20,000 for the pot.
but you're on Deal or No Deal Island, you're pulling briefcase, it's got $1.5 million in the briefcase. That's crazy. How do you kind of mentally understand the amount of money you guys are playing with? - It's wild. To me, I was like,
- You're right, you totally have to. - It makes sense. But yeah, it's an insane amount of money and you have to do math in the challenges 'cause you're like, okay, if I split this, who's gonna be on the bottom? What's the highest amount? What's the lowest amount? And you're trying to do that while you're also thinking, okay, who do I wanna keep in the game? Who do I wanna eliminate? How do I keep myself safe? So there's so many things to think about.
As these challenges are unfolding in real time, and then you have to layer in quantum computing. Like what? Yeah, right. That's too much for me. You lost me already. Just talking about it. You lost me at quantum. Quantum. My mom is an electrical engineer, and my dad was a math teacher, a high school math teacher. So I'm like, I should be really good at math, but I'm not. I mean, especially with all like,
the physical aspects going into it, then having to do the mental math on top of that. It's like your brain is fried. Yeah, you're like a million, a billion. Right, right. Exactly. A trillion dollars. Where are you guys filming this again? It's an undisclosed private island. Oh, right, undisclosed private island. Undisclosed private island. I kind of love that. It feels very Austin power. Yeah, we don't need to know. It would, you know, take away the allure. To be honest, I mean, we were just in... We had an awesome trip. We went with...
It was for Love Island when they were filming in Fiji over the summer. And we did a little boat tour one day and the captain was like, oh, over there? That's the Survivor Island. Oh, yeah. And Rihanna was there. I was going to jump.
And swim over there. Oh, my God. No, it was like the coolest thing to actually. It was super cool to see. It's like really an out of body thing to see the island in real life. For sure. Because when you're watching it on TV, you think like we never thought we'd ever go to Fiji or even have that experience. So that was just a blessing in itself. But then to be there and be like, oh, my God, this is what we've seen on TV. And everyone that just the travel aspect of getting there and then having to compete in the game like that.
There's so much that goes into it. Now, we're only now three episodes into Deal or No Deal Island. So we're very excited to continue watching the show early on right now, but very excited to continue watching.
There's something so magical about jewelry. I feel like jewelry is a beautiful way to express yourself with different pieces. And it's the way it makes us feel, the memories it holds. Maybe you've been gifted jewelry for certain occasions or you've gifted people jewelry for other occasions. And the stories it can tell, holding on to it for years and years, jewelry passed down
through families, different generations. This is why I love jewelry. But when it comes to buying it, things don't always go smoothly. There's limited selections. There's long wait times. I want to go back to now we've seen that you're going to be on Australian Survivor. Yes. Did you film yet or not yet? Okay. It was so crazy because Australian Survivor...
emailed me in like February of last year and asked me to do the show. It's an international season of Survivor. It's like the Olympics of Survivor, Australia versus the world. It's a compressed game. It's shorter and it's going to be more intense. And I was like, yeah, I want to do that. Sign me up. So I said yes to do that before Deal or No Deal. Hmm.
And then Deal or No Deal called me and asked me to play. And I was like, oh, my God, this is going to give me just a month in between playing Deal and then going out and playing Survivor.
But I was, I actually, because I'm a mom, I have a six-year-old. So I was like, I don't think I can do it. I can't leave my daughter for that long. But I have this co-parenting therapist that I work with and she was like, do it. Like, it's good for your daughter to see you out in the world doing what's yours to do. This is how you make money. Right. You're a single mother. Do it. That's awesome. So she convinced me and gave me permission. And I just, that's all I needed. So I went out and did it. But before I left, I was watching links of Australian Survivor. That's the only reason I knew who David was. Ah.
Helpful. Otherwise, I would not have known. And he would have gotten away with being this elite athlete competitor with nobody knowing. No one would have known. They'd just be like, by the way, I know you're from Australia. That's amazing. And he knew who you were, too. And knew who I was. Wow. That is awesome. And really awesome for you to talk about the fact that you said you had this co-parenting therapist who sort of gave you that like message.
momentum to go do it because I can imagine you know being away for like longer periods of time and you're kind of conflicted do I do this do I not but I think it's awesome that you did it there's not a lot of single moms on the circuit doing reality television competition there's dads
Lots of dads. Like Rob has four kids, but he has Amber at home with the girls. So for me, leaving my daughter, I have split custody right now with my ex. So leaving my daughter for a month is a lot and not being able to FaceTime or connect with her. It's so much. But thankfully, my parents are super supportive. So they come in and
They're like surrogate me while I'm gone. And just for her to be able to like grow up and watch you on these shows, though, and have like her mom as this figure to be able to watch, I feel like is so awesome, too. It's cool. It's a unique experience. And now she's like, I want to be famous. She's like, you're a rock star, mom. She's seen the Deal or No Deal billboards all over Sunset. Would you let her do any of these shows? She would destroy everything.
She's so competitive. She hates losing. Yeah. We play like Exploding Kittens or Candyland and she will stack the deck. Yeah, yeah.
For herself. She's playing those. She's got those, those like a lot of the, like the, whatever the lollipop cards, extra ones in her pocket. You'd be like, Oh, she's like, looks like I won again. That is, that is incredible. Isn't it sometimes funny when you're like, yeah, that is, that's my kid. She came from me. There it is. You know, when you first did Survivor, obviously, you know, you didn't win the first season you're on, but you go back.
You win. What is that feeling like? Like when you're getting towards the end and, you know, everyone's voting and you're like, oh, my God. And you have to sit with it kind of. What did you feel like? Because you make it to that moment. What was that moment like for you? Well, you got a small taste. Very, very small taste. Nothing like that. Nothing like that. We just got to get you on an island now. It's wild. I knew. OK, I've shared the story previously.
before, but I'm going to give you a little taste of it. When I came back from Cook Islands, I went and saw Psychic with my friend in LA. And this is such an LA story. With my friend in the valley. And the Psychic, this was before the cast had been announced. So nobody knew I had gone and just played Survivor, except for like my nearest and dearest friends.
So she's like doing her tarot cards and she's like, oh, you just got back. You were doing some kind of challenge. There were a lot of young people. There was fires on the beach and you did okay, but you're going to go back and you'll be victorious. And I was like, girl, you're crazy. I'm not playing survivor again. Like people don't do that more than once.
So then when they called me to go back and play, I was like, the prophecy is coming true. It's so crazy that I have chills right now listening to this. So I go out and I'm like, I'm going to win. I knew it. I don't know if it's like chicken or egg thing with the psychic.
who told me this, but the seed was planted in my mind that I was going to win. So even when things got shaken up and looked really bad for me, like we had the tribe swap and I was away from Suri and Amanda, my closest allies, and I was with Jonathan Penner and Eliza who were gunning for me, I was like, it's fine. It's going to be fine because I'm going to win. Yeah, I was told I'm winning. Yeah. So then as that played out and I did get to the end and I did win, I was like, oh...
I took that same mental attitude from Micronesia into Deal or No Deal, where I was like, whatever this looks like, however bad it looks, it's going to be fine. I'm going to win. And I think that every time I play a game now. Yeah. That's amazing. It's a great mentality to have because it forces you to kind of like,
focus on the positive and the momentum that you have more than like, oh no, I'm toast. Like, this is it for me. And then you just start to- Spiral. Disaster. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like everything is a disaster in your mind. You spiral. So it's a great, it's definitely a great mentality to have. I'm wondering if there are any, do you have any shows in your mind or on your list that
that you haven't done that you would like to play or like to do? - I would love to do Dancing with the Stars. - Amazing. - I'm not a great dancer. - Yeah, like, sounds like you're talking to someone, it's just someone's dream you're singing across. - Do you wanna do that too? - Dancing with the Stars is my favorite thing ever. - Right, like how cool would it be to learn how to dance like that? - So I say like, just put me in, send me out week one, I'll be fine. I just wanna be like a part of the season. - Announce with the cast. - Okay, let's go.
That would be great. Yeah. That would be awesome. Phaedra did it. Yeah. Yeah. And Phaedra was great. She is so great. She was. And I loved, I mean, loved her on Traders, obviously, but on, um, on Dance with the Stars, she was, she was also great.
Okay, that's a good one. That's a fun one because, you know, it's hard and it's physically brutal, but you're not as much of a social... You don't have to be like an emotional manipulator. I'm like, oh, these poor little babies that I'm just spinning their heads around and they're going to have to take years to recover from this. Part of me just pops into everybody's practice studios like, how's your dance looking? Yeah.
You can work on that. Does your foot always turn out like that? Yeah, yeah. Interesting. I actually was told you're not supposed to do that. Interesting. I actually have now seen on TikTok, and I'm sure you've seen it, people have been bringing up a lot of edits of you, a lot of edits of Rob from Survivor because people are getting introduced to these new reality shows that maybe are now going back and watching your seasons and watching Rob's seasons. And I saw a girl recite...
the entirety of when you use the double idol oh yeah and she recited it your whole thing word from word and i was like i was like this is incredible i had like millions of views like people are just like now going crazy over old survivor seasons and i'm like this is incredible like
I don't know what took people. I mean, obviously Survivor has such a humongous, loyal fan base. That's insane. But I guess, you know, for younger people, like the younger generation with the newer shows, they're like, we got to go back and watch because this is prehistoric.
Prime reality TV. Yeah, for sure. Like, prime reality TV. And it was, like, the first of so many things. No social media, really. Like, maybe Twitter or whatever, but... MySpace. Yeah, yeah. But it was, like, it's just so insane to, like...
see now people go back and watch it because I watched like on my couch my parents would watch and I was like would like stay up late when they watch and like was it Thursday nights I think it was on at one point it was always Wednesday Wednesday or Thursday but I would be like oh I'm not gonna go to bed yet because I'm gonna watch Survivor with them so it's primed your brain for this moment right now truly truly I guess in your life yes and it has been great because I do think the the creator's
Like doing traders in the US and you know, Deal or No Deal Island has been such a cool way to blend all these quote unquote game players together. - Yeah. - And put them on shows and like introduce people to the other shows that they were on. - It's amazing. - These things, these characters and seeing everybody's dynamic is so cool.
so entertaining. So I love that you've been a part of both now. Like, I think that's really, it's so fun. I hope you pop on to every show that you can. Oh. Okay. Yeah, yeah. I'm like, I'm all done with Survivor now. Yes. I can officially say that after doing Australia versus the world. That'll air in July. You guys are going to have to find a way to watch that. Do you watch Australia versus the world? Um, yeah.
I'll find a way. I have a VPN to watch. We got VPNs. I have a VPN to watch Love Island in the UK. And honestly, I use it for Australia sometimes too. So you're done. You would never do Survivor again. I'm all done with Survivor, but the other games are fun. And NBC has a former exec, Sharon, who was at CBS before. Now she's over at NBC. And I love NBC because...
like so many of the executives are women and they just have this really interesting way of seeing new shows and pulling people on and it's really collaborative and they want, they really want their contestants to succeed. So I really, I appreciate that. I love NBC and I love Peacock and I'm like, ask me to do whatever, I'll do it. - We love you Peacock too. - We love you Peacock. - We do, we do.
And then also say, so Australia will be in July and your book comes out in July as well. It's available for pre-sale right now. So it's out. People can buy it and then you'll get it right when it's printed. July 8th. That's incredible. What was it like writing that for you? It was a transformational journey.
Yeah.
And I was like a news writer at CBS for a bit. But writing a book is so much. And the process just took me from one version of myself to a completely different person. It's such a great process, though. And I feel like so many people do feel like that that way when they have to like sit down and write a memoir and be like, all right.
day like start from the beginning and you got to go through everything and either relive it or work through it yeah you're like then all of a sudden you're just like okay this is it was like I feel liberated from those old stories that used to haunt me or like I felt bad about them or tried to hide them about myself so I'm like oh I don't feel like a lot of the shame or
blame that I put on myself is all or criticism I put on myself is gone. And it is such an overshare. My book is deeply intimate and vulnerable and I'm so nervous. That's the best kind and selfishly I wish this book was out right now to read but we can't wait to read it in July. Can't wait to keep watching you on Deal or No Deal Island. Tuesday nights on Peacock. And we will use our VPNs to watch. I'm starting a podcast.
with my friend Amy who is a story producer on Deal or No Deal Island and it's called Nice Girls Don't Win love it love it love it love the name and everything we'll have you guys as a guest yes we would love that thank you so much thank you so much thank you that was so fun
All right, that wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. Thank you so much for watching and listening. We hope you have a fantastic Monday and Tuesday, and we'll talk to you again on Wednesday. I love you, everyone. Bye.
