Fall is right around the corner. We won't talk about it much. We're going to soak in these last few months of, I mean, last few weeks of summer, to be completely honest. Nice little summer weekend. Went to the beach, went to the movies. How was your weekend? Very similar. It was a really nice weekend. It's beautiful out. Yeah.
We had a 30th birthday for my friend Elizabeth, which was beautiful down the shore. And then got to relax the rest of the weekend, soak up the sun, read books.
Just read my book a little bit. I mean, I'm locked in. I told you I finished Fourth Wing. Loved it. Now I'm reading the second one. And I just, like, have not been able to put them down. So I'm flying through. That's been, like, I occupied a lot of my time this weekend. But it was nice to have, like, a Friday night at home. I haven't had one in a while. So that was nice. Like, you went to the movies. I went to the movies. Rewatched High School Musical, which we have.
We will explain coming up as well. And unfortunately...
We teased it, we posted it, that we were going to have Jordan Giles on today's episode, which we were super excited about. It was a great interview, but if you guys have seen the news this weekend, there has been a lot going on. As of right now, we don't know the status of her bronze medal, but
To give the very brief summary, there was some potential controversy over the bronze medal because of the inquiry, appeal, whatever you want to call it, that the USA coaches put in for Jordan that ended up raising her score, which put her into third and got bronze. The Romanians that were behind her filed questions
an inquiry with the court of arbitration of sport, which literally sounds made up but is apparently a real thing. And they found that the U.S. coaches were late on that challenge, one might call it, despite the judges fixing their mistake and saying, oh, it should have been this. They weren't challenging that. It was that it came in too late and
uh, they found that it did come in too late and that then that goes to the IOC and the FIG. They can't like strip anybody of the medal that goes to the IOC and the Federation of International Gymnastics. And, uh, they then said that Jordan was going to have to return her medal and the medal would be allocated to, um, and Barbosu, the, uh,
Romanian gymnast. Absolutely crazy. Could not like maybe the most unfair thing I've ever heard. Like that just a wild thing to take that metal away from her. Like if anything, if they like the judging was messed up enough where it's like, all right, give, give them both the bronze and like, just do like taking away her bronze is so crazy to me. Yeah.
it's honestly insane like it's actually the biggest bullshit I've ever seen like I was genuinely dumbfounded when I saw this news and I just have to say that our interview with Jordan was so incredible like she is awesome like she really is amazing and we had such a good conversation with her such a
fun conversation. Like we got to talk all about the Olympics, the Olympic village, her experience, like so many great stories. Um, we left that interview like so giddy because we had such a good time with her. And then unfortunately we are not able to air the interview anymore because of what is going on. Um, at this point though, it's just like,
I would be so fed up if I'm Jordan. I'm like, I don't like, like you're taking it away. You're giving it back. You're taking it away. Like at that point, it just strips away the happiness of the metal. Like, I feel like there's just so,
too much surrounding it. If I'm Romania, I'm like, I don't even want this medal. Like I'm not even getting it because I deserve it. Like I'm getting it because of all these appeals. Like there's just too much going on. It's honestly bullshit. And it's the judge's fault in the first place for fucking up in the first place. Like if they just did their job correctly to begin with, none of this would be happening, but because they didn't do it correctly now,
The fallout is happening with these athletes and I just feel bad for them. I feel so bad for Jordan that she is going through all of this. She posted on her Instagram that she's taking a break from social media for her mental health. I do not blame her. Like there's just so much conversation surrounding this. And I mean, I hope that the right thing happens, but it's just so much back and forth at this point.
Yeah, and there's been a lot of, like, a lot of hateful rhetoric used towards Jordan, like, all weekend and the whole past week through all of this. So I, you know, completely understand her wanting to take a step back from social media and everything right now because the noise is just really loud. And then yesterday, the USA Gymnastics said that they formally submitted a letter and video evidence back to the CAS office
conclusively establishing that, you know, the head coach, the request to file the inquiry was submitted 47 seconds after the publishing of the score, which is within the one minute deadline, because they had said that it was four seconds late, which is insane. It's four seconds late. Like that's where she's going to lose her metal because it was four seconds late. So now they claim they had video evidence that it was on time and that her score should be reinstated.
They put out the statement that, you know, they had the timestamp video and then they edited it. They ended it by saying the video footage provided was not available to USA Gymnastics prior to the tribunal's decision. And thus USAG did not have the opportunity to previously submit it. Now they do. So they've sent that in. So hopefully they take a look at that. I mean, I just it's it's crazy. And I hope.
that she is able to keep her metal and this all this this stands because I mean I just that's that's the right thing here so right it's absolutely the right thing so yeah rooting for Jordan here and you know wishing her all the best because she really is so sweet and so incredible and I hate the fact that she's going through this right now I really do um so yeah I mean I hope I hope the
The outcome is what deserves to happen, but who knows at this point, it seems like they're all over the place. Um, but yeah, so that interview cannot be shared, but it was a great one. It was, it was a great interview. Maybe down the line. Yeah. Maybe we'll see what happens. Yeah. Um,
We do have a fun segment at the end of this show. We are officially rewatching High School Musical. We're doing a little rewatch series on the podcast this time. So, you know, if you listen to this show, then you've seen High School Musical before. So maybe you don't need to rewatch the first one, but we will be talking about the second and the third and a little bonus movie after that. So we'll let you know what the fourth movie is going to be. But right now,
Make sure you're re-watching the second and third High School Musical in your spare time because we're going to be talking about it. And it's every day this week. So, you know, High School Musical is today and then Wednesday and Friday we'll do two and three. So a little fun add-on to our normal episodes for the week. Yes. And of course, we will love spending our time talking about High School Musical because why wouldn't we? I have much to say. I mean...
Gosh, it just warms my heart. So we'll get to that. But let's get into the topics for the rest of the show. We're going to be talking about all the drama surrounding It Ends With Us, Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni. More has unfolded from the weekend. Sources are saying this. Sources are saying that. Who's to say what's right and what's wrong at this point? Miley Cyrus was officially...
honored as a disney legend legend in a beautiful ceremony that was just a tearjerker and honestly on theme for us watching high school musical at the end of this just disney theme and we also are going to be talking about the closing ceremony of the olympics we also have weekly weekly watch report and our high school musical free watch so let's get into the topics
So there is a lot, a lot going on with It Ends With Us. We both saw it this weekend. So obviously we have Weekly Watch Report. We'll talk about it then. But we could talk about it a little. Let's talk about it in Weekly Watch Report. So no spoilers, just in case you haven't seen it. Right now we're going to talk about the drama that's been unfolding. If you haven't seen it, then you haven't been online because it's taken over social media. Yeah.
This all started because people were noticing that Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively, they weren't interacting. Justin Baldoni also wasn't interacting with the rest of the cast. They were at premieres. They were doing interviews. None with the cast and Justin Baldoni. Blake Lively, the other cast members, they've all been interacting. They've been all like on the red carpet doing interviews together, you know, funny little things. And
And it started off by, I feel like people were noticing the difference in the way the movie was being marketed. In Blake Lively's world, it was, you know, about the florals and Lily's flower shop and, you know...
happiness, romantic. And then in Justin Baldoni's side, he was really emphasizing the importance of the issue of domestic violence in this book and in this film. He was really hammering home in his interviews what this movie is about. Yeah, it's a really strong opinion as well. And it's literally everywhere. People are pretty upset about
About that. And they've really picked apart. Certain quotes from Blake. And you know. It's not that she. It's not that she isn't fully. Addressing it. You know when she is asked about it. And like you know. She's talking about it. It's not like you can find. Moments of her talking about it. And part of the film. But.
I think, you know, a lot of questions and this also falls to the press and those who are interviewing them, a lot of what is being asked, you know, when it is Justin Baldoni and it is right, like the character he plays, that is the focus of the conversation. And with Blake, it's just been a little different, right?
Um, and I understand, look, there's like, there's one interview that she did where she had said, you know, Lily, the way she thought of the character, right? And she said, like, she didn't think Lily was defined by this story. And there are so many other parts to her. Um, and yeah.
I think just the way she has worded some of her responses have upset people. I mean, if you're deep in TikTok, like we've been all weekend, it's like that side of the internet is really unhappy with the way that this has been talked about. I know I've seen a ton of comments saying,
from those who themselves have experienced examples of domestic violence or domestic abuse in their own lives. And, yeah,
They haven't liked the language that Blake has used. So, I mean, we can't speak for that. And we're just kind of seeing that back and forth of the way that they're upset about how Blake is speaking on it. But at the end of the day, when it comes to the drama of the cast and Justin, people are upset about the way the press is going. Yes. Yes.
But I don't think that's where the drama has stemmed from. People have tried to say, like, that's where this has come from. But it doesn't feel that way. It feels like this came way earlier on in the process, even while they were still making the movie. There's been a lot of different stories that have come out. Now there's been stories in the press of...
Blake being uncomfortable on set and around Justin, you know, they were saying that this was she started filming this movie three, four months postpartum and that she was made to feel uncomfortable about her body on set at certain times. And that was a story that came out over the weekend. There was also another Hollywood Reporter article that came out.
that the studio loved Blake's involvement, that she took what could have been a Hallmark movie and turned it into this, you know, big moment, really. And, like, it was just more of a... I would say honoring her for what she did with the behind-the-scenes of the movie. And...
how that has elevated the movie. They said that one studio insider said that, I wished she worked for us full time, is what they said. So it's just like, there's just a lot of things that I think she said
got involved in with the creative process. And to me, this feels like perhaps some sort of power struggle that they had between director and actor and Justin's vision and Blake's vision. And perhaps they were different and they didn't really see eye to eye on those things. And that has created what this, you know, break is, I would say. That's what it seems like, that it was kind of like,
You know, they had different visions for this and you can decide, you know, what vision you thought was appropriate, I guess. Right. I just struggle with the fact that like people will like hang on to something. They do not know the facts. They have no idea what happened behind the scenes and they make up their own theory. And then all of a sudden everybody runs with it and is now attacking the
everybody on the cast. It's like, we really don't know what happened behind the scenes. So why are we just automatically being like, this person's bad, this person's good. No, this person's bad. And it's like, people are taking sides. It's like, we truly have no idea. We don't have any idea what happened behind the scenes from what has now come out. I do think that it was maybe a power struggle between the two of them, you know, Justin Baldoni hired as the director. So at that point, he's probably like, I'm the director, right?
I call the shots here. Blake Lively, being that this film is supposed to be about women, she's probably like, well, I probably have the better point of view here. So like, why don't we just, you know, maybe, maybe I have an idea of what we should do. So yeah,
I could see that maybe like Justin, he has a vision. He wants it to go some way. Blake's like, no, I think we should, it should go this way. Because then Justin was asked, like if he would direct, it starts with us. And he was like, I think Blake Lively's ready to direct. So people would talk that as like, maybe just like a little, like throwing, you know, a little something in there to be like, Oh, Blake Lively's ready to direct because she tried directing this entire thing. Um,
I mean, if the studio's coming out being like, oh, I wish Blake Lively worked for us full time, like, maybe they really did love Blake's vision. Maybe Justin was frustrated that his vision wasn't being seen, but they ended up liking Blake's vision. Like, there's just so many layers to this. I think the layer that comes in that has been making me laugh a little bit is the Ryan Reynolds layer to it, because people are, like, just now picking apart, um...
lines from the movie that they think ryan reynolds wrote um because there were a couple like uh during the rooftop scene like what he said like something like pretty please with a cherry on top like there was like certain things where like now i'm in my head i'm like that was a ryan reynolds line like that was a throw a little comedic something in there um
So, I don't know. I don't know. I mean, people seem to be getting mad that if Ryan Reynolds is on the seat with Blake Lively, but I don't understand. Like, that's her husband, and she's three, four months postpartum, and she's feeling uncomfortable on set. This is what they're saying. Maybe she wants her husband there. Like, I don't know. I think that...
People, like, love to just jump on. Like, oh, okay. Let's just fucking destroy Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds right now. Let's take them down. And I'm like, we don't know what happened. Yeah, it's...
It feels like the internet is very... They're like... We're like Justin Baldoni. I've seen so many comments. They can never make me hate you, Justin Baldoni. People love him. We don't have to hate him. No, no. We don't have to hate either of them. I don't really think you have to hate either of them. He has been very open about his process as well and how he absolutely wanted...
a woman's viewpoint on this film. And he has been saying that, you know, maybe at certain points he was too collaborative and that that could also have led to issues where it's like, oh, well, are you the director? Are you not? You know, like that is sometimes when there's too many outside voices, it's tough to make decisions as well. So I don't know. I mean, from, from the way Justin is,
portrays himself and what he does and what he says, you know, it's, it's always seems to be all the right things. And personally, like sometimes to me, I'm just like, huh? Like, it just like makes me raise my eyebrow a tad, you know? But it's like, he does, he does seem like an, he seems like a fantastic guy, but that's like, it's only ever amazing things. And, um,
Blake and Ryan like I don't know I don't know how all of a sudden like now it's like we've always hated them it's like have we I don't know it's just like it like took such a weird it took a really weird turn for them um they are husband and wife they are very collaborative on their projects like he's talked about her involvement I mean spoiler I don't know if like
She was involved with Deadpool and Wolverine. And he's like, so it's like, I don't know the timing of it. And this is what's crazy to me too, because I think a lot of people were really upset with the, with the joining of projects kind of like, they're like these two movies, like they shouldn't be talked about in the same way. And a lot of times, you know, that's like,
That's like coming from way up high. That's like, that's a studio. That's the executives. That's like, hey, we're going to market this and spin it so that all those millions and millions and millions and millions of eyeballs that are going and paying to see Deadpool and Wolverine and like, let's, now this movie's coming out. But I 100% get it. There are certain things that you're like, yeah, okay, that feels good.
that feels a little inappropriate um but there's also times where movie promo and perhaps the tone of the film don't like 100% line up for movies that have come out for years and years and years um and you know there's very serious characters there's villains there's
topics that are discussed. There are horrific events that happen that are in movies and they're going on hot ones and eating wings. I don't know. Sometimes I get it. I get it. I understand why people are upset about this for sure when it comes to certain things that are being promoted, but I'm not sure how this is the movie that
that, if that makes sense. Yeah, and I think it honestly just stemmed from them not being seen together because I think if Justin Baldoni was posing with the rest of the cast and the cast was posing with him, people would be like, oh, they're all promoting it the same way.
way like everyone's promoting the movie but because there's such a contrast in the way that's being promoted and they're not interacting with each other then that starts the conversation i think now i mean can i also say i also feel like colleen hoover is very involved in all of this as well because it does feel like colleen hoover you know she's been with blake
And they have worked very closely. And Colleen Hoover is loved and she is also not loved by a lot of people, especially in the book talk world, in the literature world. People are like, she's the worst author. It changes. She's turned her TikTok off, basically.
But I feel like if it was Colleen Hoover making decisions and advising people as well, like she...
tells the story that way um and it's like the way that the book was marketed you know like the way that the book like you go people were shocked by the book because when you picked it up you thought it was like a romance novel like it's in the romance section of the bookstore and like all these things so i feel like she wanted to keep some of that element for the movie and
Because it's like in the book and you pick up the book, you read it, you don't immediately know that about the story. So I feel like she tried to keep that.
Um, and it just, it, it loses that because so many people have read the book. Some people know the story, um, that you just can't market the movie the same way you market the book. It's just, you just can't do it. Um, and there are people have been going back and, and finding certain instances. I mean, there was a time Colleen Hoover wanted to sell a, it ends with us coloring book.
Which really fans were like, what the fuck is this? So... Yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense. No. Right. Because the message of the book is really so important. And it really is an emotional book and an emotional movie. And so I feel like I do agree with the people that don't want the message to get lost. Yeah. And if you see the movie, I agree.
I saw it, like, I don't think the message gets lost. I think the message is very, very clear in the movie. I think it really does come across.
So it is interesting, like, I guess the marketing, like, you're right, like, she's marketing it in a way that she wants people to be shocked when they read it, but, like, people who have endured some of this in their life, they're like, why are we using this for shock value? Like, it's a very important message, like, let's just get out in front of it and talk about it and not kind of beat around the bush so that when people who haven't read the book watch the movie, they're not shocked by it, because
I could see somebody go, you know, now that we're talking about this, I could see somebody going to the movie that knows nothing about it. And they see it being marketed like the Barbie film. And then they show up to the movie and it sort of triggers them because maybe they have been through something like this and they didn't know that this was in the movie. So,
Now that we're talking about it out loud, you know, these thoughts are coming to me and I'm like, you know what? Me like that. It's not properly like it's not properly labeled. I don't think. Right. Because like that is like I mean, to show up to that movie and you have no idea like you think it's a it's a romcom with Blake Lively. Yeah. And then you show up.
and you're watching and this is something you've been through, like I can't even imagine that feeling. So, you know, at the end of the day,
It probably is labeled wrong and marketed wrong now that, you know, we're talking about it out loud. So yeah, there's so many layers to this. And I don't know if the drama comes from that. I don't know if it's the director, actor power struggle, but it has made people talk about the movie a lot. Now, I felt like when this was happening with Don't Worry Darling, like everyone was talking about the drama and then people saw the movie and then they didn't really talk about them. Like, I felt like it kind of like,
like, ruined the movie for people. Like, people were... Like, I liked Don't Worry Darling, but it didn't seem like people were, like, talking about how much they liked it or disliked it because they were almost afraid because of the drama. Now with this, I thought the movie was good. Yeah. But I feel like people are now just saying they don't like the movie or shitting on the movie because they think that...
Blake Lively sort of took it over and made her own cut of it and Justin Baldoni has his own cut and like now they just want to shit on the movie as a whole and just say it was bad we don't know like what the finished product was we have no idea nobody knows whether it was Blake Lively Justin a mixture of the two like nobody knows but I feel like because they think like I'm seeing a lot of videos being like I want the Justin version like I saw the Blake version and I hated it like where's the Justin version and I'm like
You don't know what you saw. Like, you don't know if that was the Blake version or the Justin version or the both version. Like, you're just hating on the movie just to hate on it now. When personally, I thought the movie was good. And I thought it was emotional. And I thought that the message was very clear in the movie. So the marketing, not clear at all. Movie, no.
I thought clear. So, yeah, right. Which goes right. Like it goes back to was that on purpose? And if it is on purpose, that's, you know, it's probably it's just it's just not. I don't know if that's the the way you go about this when you're pulling from a book that is.
truly took over the world for this demographic where so many people have either read the book or they know about the book. And yeah, I am seeing some people being like, I went to go see the movie. I didn't know anything about it. And like, whoa, I didn't expect... You know, it's like they don't see it coming when it feels like we have been talking about this so much because we...
Have are aware of what's been going on. And then of course people are like, well, Justin Baldoni is talking about it a lot. And, and that's another reason why they feel like, oh, this is, you know, they're, they're clearly on two different pages with what this story means to them. So, yeah. I mean, now that we're like, we're really talking about it. Like the more I think about it, I'm like, damn, it is wild that it was marketed the way that it was because like,
I'm thinking about people showing up who have been through this and think they're going to see a rom-com and then they're walking away from the movie. There was an AMC. I always go to AMC. It's the theater near me. And when I was looking at tickets, they did a Wednesday night...
Like you could go see the movie Wednesday night and it was only like a couple of showings, but it was marketed as like girls night out. Yeah. And I was like, I don't, I don't really know about, I don't really know about this one, but once again, I feel like it comes from, um,
I don't know how much, like, once again, like, it's like Colleen Hoover, she has a story, she sells it to a studio, like, how much she said now, you know, she's been interviewed, she's like, oh, I don't have, I don't have, like, final casting decision, like, those kinds of things. But...
I just feel like her input probably does come into play here a little bit. Yeah. And I do think it's, like, I did go with my friends. And, like, but we all were crying the whole time. And, like, you know. Yeah.
Had each other to lean on during the movie and after, but it wasn't like a woohoo. Like, you know, like you, you definitely not leaving the movie feeling like that. Yeah. Or really showing up to it like that. But once again, if you read the book, you know that if you didn't read the book and you see a Blake Lively,
you know, what is shown as a romance movie, you may be like, girls, let's go see this new Blake Lively movie. So yeah, there is, I guess, I guess there is a lot to be discussed with this. And, you know, I think as time goes on, we'll get more sources say, sources say this, sources say that. Yeah. But if you're not seeing the Justin Baldoni interviews and you haven't seen, and you haven't read the book,
you're probably confused yeah with with the marketing that's happening um but a lot and like so many people have just really like amazing things to say about jessabelle don't need to like it's like the crew has amazing things to say about him he was so amazing to work with all these things that is just so it's it's conflicting too because it's like well then how is the whole cast
Like the whole cast, I don't know. Then everyone's like, oh, the cast is going to, they want to be in the sequel. So they're going to stick with Blake because Blake's going to end up doing the sequel and like all this stuff. So I don't know. It feels extremely complicated, but it is definitely going to be like a press release.
source off here where stories are going to come out from like Blake and Ryan are there. They're a media powerhouse, you know, like if they want a story to come out, they will like that Hollywood reporter story to me. I was like, Oh, of course, like student, like Blake, she's amazing. Like we, the studio needed her so badly, you know, now it just feels like there's going to be a lot of stories like that, that probably come out. Um,
I don't know if Justin has the PR powerhouse behind him that like Blake and Ryan have and that they've had, that they, you know, are able to, to utilize. But he certainly has the support of a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of people. And it seems like,
what may have been some creative differences has really just blown up into like quite the shit storm.
For sure. It's definitely... And people just... They're just... We... Like you said, we always hated Blake and Ryan. I'm like, since when? Yeah. Everything I've always seen about people, about Blake and Ryan, is that they're obsessed with them. Yeah. So I'm like, where is this coming from? Oh, we've always hated them? Since when? Yeah. Last week, you were fucking eating up the Deadpool Wolverine premiere. So...
I don't know if you always hated them. I don't know about that. And there's no reason to hate either side, right? Like, you don't know that, like, like, you don't know what happened. You don't know. So, well, anyways, it's wild. It is wild. It is. It is.

Moving on, Miley Cyrus was honored as a Disney Legend.
so well deserved for Miley Cyrus. Like, I just couldn't love Miley Cyrus more. I've exclaimed that a million times over on this podcast, but I truly fucking love Miley Cyrus. She is one of a kind. She deserves this so much. It's actually really funny because I saw, she was honored for this, but I saw a clip
come out like two days before that from the Disney Channel games where she didn't compete in the Disney Channel games but she like hosted the ending ceremony and it was like she gave the trophy and everyone was like this is how we knew Miley was different than everybody else like she presented the trophy like she didn't even compete in the Disney Channel games and I was like you know what Miley Cyrus yes so many fucking talented people came from Disney but Hannah Montana truly
exceeded everything that's happened on disney like because you had miley cyrus but then you also had hannah montana like she was playing too she was playing i was gonna say just it it was insane i thought i was waiting for you to to say you know we really had the best of both worlds we did and she gave that to us and and she lived it like the fact that she was
playing a pop star that actually turned into a real pop star. Like people then became with Hannah obsessed with Hannah Montana in real life. She performed as Hannah Montana in real life and also performed as Miley Cyrus. Like how did this little girl possess so much talent? Like I'm just, Oh my God, it will always, it will always blow my mind. And so she deserves everything. And to still be one of the most talented people ever, like,
She's still crushing it. She made a joke about the years of 2013 to 2016, which was funny. And, you know, maybe people think, oh, why doesn't she just own that era? But she probably like, you know, there's times you look back on yourself and you're like, what the fuck was I doing? Like Miley Cyrus could just be looking back and going, what the fuck was I doing?
Yeah, I think she does. And I think that's why she like makes jokes about it now. It's not that she's saying like, oh, my God, I wish I didn't do it. Didn't do it. She's like, it's, you know, objectively funny. Like, it's just like what the fuck was going on. Yeah, exactly. And it was just so like, that's why she kind of said, you know, oh, like I had a like a bug, like a bug.
She said she was joked about the bug in the Disney's Disney kids lab that caused her to malfunction from 2013 to 2016. And she was like, sorry, Mickey. Like she just, you know, she jokes about that. She she's the best. She got she got emotional on stage. Just remembering that time and like taking in the moment and.
And she finished and said, you know, I stand here still proud to have been in Hannah Montana. This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing loyal fans. So it really it really was amazing. And it's awesome to see it all come full circle for her.
It's beautiful. Like, it just makes me so happy. She deserves all the honor in the world. Now, I keep getting fucking duped by Miley Cyrus fan accounts. I got duped this morning of a season five Hannah Montana trailer. Like, I... It's...
It was a verified account. So I was like, oh, what the fuck is this? They're bringing back... Like, she announced this. Like, oh my God, did I fall asleep? And she announced that she was going to bring back season five of Hannah Montana because she's a Disney legend. Like, oh my God, I couldn't be more excited. I watched the trailer. It was just cuts of like the most random shit ever. And I was like, why the fuck did you fall for that? And then...
I saw something about her performing at the Super Bowl. Now, that one I believe a little bit more. But that was also... That rumor has been flying around for a little while. So that was also from a Miley Cyrus fan account and that she accepted the offer for the Super Bowl. And I'm like, okay, I'm not going to like... I only saw it on this fan account. So I'm not going to spread this information. Here I am spreading it out loud. But I'm letting you know that it was one single fan account and I haven't seen it since. Yeah, yeah. So is that the case...
I'm going to the Super Bowl. Yeah. I don't care. I don't blame you. I would not blame you. It is great. Also, I really unintentionally threw a Miley song pun in there. It was not acknowledged. But if anybody picked up on that, we'll get to see. What was it?
I said it's really been full, you know, come around full circle for her. Nice. Yep. Yep. Yeah, just wanted to bring that back up. No, I'm stoked for Miley. I think that's really cool. Like the whole like hamper and thing, like it's just a really cool event. And if you look at all the other people that were honored Sunday night at this, it's like, you know, it's just, it's mega, mega awesome.
And Miley obviously deserves to be up there as well. So yes, she does. Congrats, Miley. You deserve it all. Actually, this just reminded me that we, cause now I'm, I want to say now, but they are not like the D 23, like everything's been coming out of their new Disney announcements. Um,
And of course, there's nine million reboots happening. You know, the Lilo and Stitch is the live action and they're doing a Toy Story 5, which, by the way, Toy Story 5 is just going to rip my heart out and stop all over it. I don't know if I can see this movie, to be honest. Like just the premise alone of like the toys versus technology is I will feel like.
so bad for the toys i i don't know if i'm gonna be able to sit through the movie like no i i still pulls up the ipad and like throws woody to the ground i'm gonna be like no
No, it's honestly, I think it's meant to tear our hearts apart because I saw the screenshot of the kid sitting under his blanket with the iPad and all the toys at the end of the bed. And I honestly started to tear up. I was like, no, no, you're not going to treat your fucking toys like that. And you know what? It's disgusting that this is happening. It's disgusting. It's disgusting. No, I am already anticipating sobbing my eyes out completely during that movie. And I hope that, you know, they spin it around to give us like,
a positive ending to it because right now, like if we're pulling from real world examples, the toys are not winning. The toys are not winning the battle. They're not. And it's really sad. It's honestly, it's, it's fucking sad. Like it's truly, that's the only way to put it. Like screens have just taken over in like a disgusting way.
No, I just... I really, like... I'm gonna have an issue. Like, I just... I'm envisioning the scenes already and it makes me emotional. But they also announced The Greatest Showman on Broadway! Finally! It's happening! Your big moment. This is... I will be there. Opening night. Like, and what's...
I can't, it's going to be so great. Um, I almost like want Hugh Jackman to, to, to be, you know, he's a Broadway guy. He would do like come back just for, yeah, they can't get everyone. Of course. I mean, that would be insane. Um,
But it'll be an amazing production. So they're adapting it for Broadway. There was no timeline on it, really. But you better believe when that is announced, I will be there. You will be there. There's a couple of other great things coming, too. People were torn on the Lilo and Stitch live action. Give it to me. I'm into it. I'm actually into anything they put out. So it's like, I'll watch everything. Yeah.
stitch i was pleasantly surprised by the way stitch looked yeah obviously a little scary but not at the same time like as you expect right exactly like that's you know you're gonna fly action in that way so yeah but the great the greatest showman is really what really what did it for me i saw the announcement i was like oh my god yes um
The thing about Toy Story is, like, I remember going to see Toy Story 3 and, like, how big of a deal it was that it was going to be the last Toy Story. And, like, I remember being really upset. And it's like, you know what? It doesn't have to be the last Toy Story. And I don't care that, you know, you're not going to upset me by bringing it back because you told me it was the end. I'm ready for more. I mean, they already had Toy Story, what was it, 4? Like, that one didn't really, I didn't love Toy Story 4, I'm not going to lie. But, yeah.
I am interested in Toy Story 5, even though it's probably going to really upset us. Yeah. I'm just, honestly, all the Toy Story movies make me cry. Like at a certain point, like there's always, I'm always crying in a Toy Story movie. The end of Toy Story 3, holy, I needed to be like wheeled out of the theater. Like that was like, I was just emotionally distraught. So I'm really, this is, yeah, Toy Story 5 is for sure going to do me in 100%.
um it's gonna it's gonna have an impact for sure yeah oh yeah yep last topic tom cruise olympics closing ceremony so this was teased for a little bit like everyone was like tom cruise is gonna do some crazy stunt and my is like tom like tom cruise just lives off of stunts like he's just like i'm a stunt man yeah tom cruise you know
This may sound harsh for old Tom, but I don't really know what's thrilling him in his life these days besides, you know, jumping off of tall buildings and shit. I think he's an adrenaline junkie. Like, I think that's... He chases that high. And that's what does it for him because, you know, other aspects of his life clearly don't do it. Clearly don't do it for him. So...
there he was at the top of the stadium jumping in grabbing the flag bite you know hopping on his motorcycle getting on the plane you know the whole the whole thing to just basically show and it's funny because people have been talking about it for like the last week and the tweets really almost read like satire like it was like wait is this real like it's like like tom cruise is gonna is gonna
free fall into the stadium and then take the flag, uh, to LA and hand it over to Snoop Dogg. Like, yeah. And, um, you know, that is exactly what happened. They, they, the flag was passed along the way and it made it in the hands of, uh,
Olympic skateboarder. And then it made it to stage and they celebrated on the beach, the beach in California with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, Billie Eilish, red hot chili peppers. So they were gearing up. Hey, four more years. We're in, we're in LA, but they, they were certainly past the torch.
Yeah, they passed it soon to L.A. And I saw people joking about traffic. They were like, the traffic in L.A. is going to be so bad, you might as well drive there now. Like, the traffic in 2028 for the Olympics in L.A., avoid at all costs. No, I saw that apparently they were already saying that there's going to be certain events that...
You can't drive to. It was like public transportation only, which is I mean, it's just going to be a disaster because like nobody takes the public transportation in L.A. So I don't really know. Like, I don't really know how that's going to work. But also people are just going to they are going to drive out.
people are going to drive and then just like go to a different location like they're gonna drive yeah exactly i mean i think they're trying to like eliminate parking lots like there's just going to be nowhere to park like you can you can try and drive there you got nowhere to leave your car there aren't going to be oh my god that's going to be fucking miserable but it's going to be cool that it's in la but also miserable at the same time yeah like yeah for the for the residents of la
it's going to probably be quite miserable you know like getting to your job and everything is just going to be like you're going to have to leave six hours um ahead of time but it will be cool that it's in LA yeah absolutely and I mean I am personally like distraught over the Olympics being over I mean they it's just taking over my brain I don't know what I don't know what else I'm
girls, girls posted on their story, a screenshot of a tweet that is from, um, an account. It says Kate Feedy on Twitter wrote hard to go back to regular TV after two weeks of the Olympics. Ooh, look at me. I'm a prestige HBO show. Well, guess what? You don't even demonstrate one single feet of strength and agility for your country. I'm like, that's like literally how I feel. I'm like, Oh my God, I can't believe I'm going to miss it. Um,
It was so great. And I just want to take a second to acknowledge all the amazing women who crushed this Olympics. Like I really like the, the, the female athletes dominated this Olympics and it was so awesome to see. So great. I only saw female athletes like that. And guess what? Because they were the ones, they were the ones winning 65%.
of the u.s's gold medals came from the uh women's sports which is so amazing i mean even just from the weekend right like we watch women's basketball win we watch women's soccer win um you know women's rugby meddled women's volleyball meddled like just so many awesome and the track and field girls forget it the track and field girls are oh my god they're insane are dominant and
And can I just say they're all so gorgeous. Oh my God. Like every athlete, not only are they incredibly talented and strong, but they're all so fucking beautiful as well.
It's truly, I mean, like watching the last relay, which I believe was the four by 400. I thought they were going to lap. I thought they were like, there's like, they were like, see ya. Not even close. Not even close. So just amazing, dominant female performances. And you know, the statistics don't lie because yeah,
They had more goals. They contributed. And that's what, you know, that's what brought us to the top. And it was a lot of those, a lot of those, a lot of those moments. I was, I was so happy for women's soccer. I was so happy for that soccer team because after the world cup last year was a disaster and to come out and just dominate and win gold like that was amazing. It was incredible. And on top of that, to see, um,
the joke of Noah Lyles. Like, what the... What...
Seriously, like... He's a disgrace to all Noahs. Yeah, like, what the fuck happened there? The fact that he just, like, basically pretended to have COVID, and then all of a sudden he was like, no, I don't have COVID. And then he's, like, at the club, like, why are you doing this to yourself? Like, you didn't win. It's all right. You don't got to fake COVID now. And then you're at the club the next day.
I know, like posting his negative test, being like COVID free. And then immediately, you know, I believed you had it in the first place. So just running out, running out. He literally got wheelchaired off. Yeah.
Honestly, hilarious. The way that he ran out and the way that he left the contrast is incredible. Yeah. But it was a really great ending. I mean, I will say, yeah, women's basketball, that was a crazy end to that game. And the men's basketball, Steph Curry was...
I will. That, that end of that game was so, was so crazy. I've seen like a lot of jokes of, of like the, there's like a French announcer that like basically called Steph Curry, the devil during, during like the, during the, the end of the match. Cause it really did. It felt that way. Like he could not miss that. I also saw like McDonald's France made a joke about getting rid of their curry sauce. Like it's like classic. Oh my God. The sauce. And it was like, we're,
we will be removing this at least for the next four years. Oh, that's so funny. That's funny. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, like I said, I, I, the Olympics have dominated my brain. I have, it's like all I've wanted to talk about and watch and enjoy. And I'm sad it's over, but I am happy that like, this felt like,
The Olympics were like back. I love the Summer Olympics. And sadly, you know, we kind of talked about this with Jordan a little bit, but Tokyo was a totally different vibe, of course, like dealing with lockdown and COVID and the finished product that we ended up getting. And this just felt like Paris was a great place
fit for all this to like break the attention back and, you know, watching beach volleyball under the Eiffel tower and like all these really, really cool things. So at the end of the day, like I thought they, I thought they, um,
I thought they crushed it. Like, it seemed like, from a viewer standpoint, it seemed like it all went really well, so. Yeah, besides the fucking judging for gymnastics. Yeah, I mean, yeah. They should probably get that in check. Absolutely. Absolutely. No, truly, like, Jordan has to keep that medal. Like, don't send it back. Here's the thing. She has to keep the medal, but at the same time, if I was her, I would be like, fuck you guys. Like, at this point, like...
I just feel so bad for her. Like, I honestly cannot imagine what she's going through right now because to come off such a high and to then be fucking beaten down to such a low, like, I just feel so bad for her. I agree. Let her, let her. They better, we'll see what happens, but I am trying to be optimistic that they will
see what usa gymnastics sends in and be like okay she'll you know she can keep the medal so yeah oh my god it's just crazy they like honestly like shame on them just shame on them for real 100 100 um yeah all right that wraps up the topics

Fuck. Like I didn't watch that much, but I did watch the new dance moms. And I just have to say, okay, so there's a new dance moms on Hulu dance moms, a new era.
If you thought that this Dance Moms was going to be like a nice version of Dance Moms, oh, well, you were sadly mistaken, honey, because I was sadly mistaken. Because I was putting on this new era of Dance Moms thinking like, oh, they probably learned so much from Abby Lee Miller's stinky ways that this is probably like a new version of Dance Moms. And it's like nice and positive. And they're like encouraging each other and, you know, all good. No, no, no, no, no, no.
It's the same thing. It's the same thing with a different teacher, a different dance school. This girl, this woman was best friends with Abby Lee Miller. So you can only imagine. And the moms are so fucking wild. Like I can't, I,
Truly am judging these moms so hard for subjecting their children to this show because you know what happened with the original Dance Moms. You saw the aftermath and the impact that that show had on these girls and said, no.
I want my kid to go through that. I want to be a part of that. You're sick in the head. You are sick in the head to put your child through that. And you just want fame and fortune. And to me, that is sick. These moms on this show...
They make me sick. They really do. Because I just can't believe that they would put their children in this. I just can't. Like, it's the same thing as the original show. There's no... I truly was shocked. I thought I was putting on a nice, positive show. I said, Dance Moms, a new era. Oh, my gosh. They're going to be lifting these kids up. It's going to be positive. The teachers are going to be, like, fun and goofy. Whole thing. No!
No! The moms are tearing the kids apart. The kids are tearing the kids apart. The teachers are tearing all of them apart. I'm like, okay, of course I'm still going to watch. Like, I'm going to watch after I record. I'm going to put on the fourth episode. But I'm going to watch with disgust because I can't
Believe it. Second episode, the mom's calling the other mom a bitch. Second episode, oh, you're trash, you're trash, you're a bitch. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? And then
Oh, my God. I just one part of the show did break my heart, though. There's one part of the show, a little girl, her brother passed away a couple of years. That part made me really sad. And it was really cute how all the girls like rallied, like started hugging her. And like it was it was really sweet. But that's like the only nice moment I've seen so far. The rest of it is just I can't believe I can't believe that these moms are participating in this show with these children. I can't believe it. I can't believe it.
where nothing it sure seems like it where is this hulu no i know where is the day like where are these girls i think it's in new jersey i think it's in new jersey because i had a couple girls message me saying that i could be totally wrong one second let me just look that up um
Where does Dance Moms A New Era take place? I did have a couple girls. Where is the studio? I had a couple girls message me and be like, oh my God, the moms are insane. Like they live in my town. So I could see. I know. I'm so curious. Virginia, Virginia. Oh, Virginia. Not Jersey. Sorry. It's Virginia. Yeah.
Damn. I don't know what the fuck to read it because I'm morally conflicted. That's how I feel about it. I'm morally conflicted because if I, because listen, the Dance Moms, the original one was like this, but it was like the first, it was the first of its kind. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Who knew? They didn't know what they were signing up for. No, right. It just feels crazy that we have seen how these girls have reacted to the show. They literally just did a full-blown reunion, like, discussing the effects of what being on this show was like for them. And there were people out there that were like, you know what? Let's fucking, let's run this back. Like, why would you? Like, let's run this back. Yeah.
And Nia, who was one of my favorites from the original Dance Moms, and Dr. Holly, of course, because Dr. Holly was the voice of reason, like, Nia didn't even participate in the reunion, and she made a TikTok being like, I don't like the top, like, I just don't want to touch that pass. And it's like, I don't blame her. Like, what? Oh, my God. So, like, when they originally did Dance Moms, I could see your kids are in dance class, they're coming up with a new show, and
cool sounds exciting and then naturally the fights happen the all this shit happens and oh my god it turns into this crazy mass good show but crazy mess and then you learn from it i can't see a world where you sign your fucking kids up for that again like after seeing it happen like i'm just i'm just stunned i'm just stunned by it the things people do the things they will do for hollywood babes i can't believe it i can't um
So yeah, that's what I was watching yesterday. And I watched... Like I said, I'm having a hard time rating it. But I will give it a... I'll give it a C. I'll give it a C. That's fair. I watched the first two episodes of Love is Blind UK. Mm-hmm. I watched all of them. You did? Yep. Listen, I'll eat this show up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner anytime. So...
I only watched the first two episodes. Yeah, I won't spoil anything. I'll give it a B- because it's just the first two episodes. Yeah. And it's just... I like the structure of the show. I will say I do like that it seems like a majority of them are older. Mm-hmm. Which is interesting. And then I also am... I mean, this is such a generalization, but the UK's dedication to, like, you know, fulfilling their reality TV. Like, there are...
I'm all, this doesn't give anything away, but there are a lot of couples that get engaged, like more so than you're like, sometimes with the, with love is buying us, like you get, I don't know, like three, four, like, and, and sometimes they fall apart pretty quickly. Or there's just not as many, even just proposals. And this is like, there's, they got a lot to work with. They got a lot to work with. They got a lot of drama. Yeah.
They got a lot of co like couples. Cause I just feel like sometimes people are those, those, those Brits can also be a little bit more straightforward. Like they're in the pods and they're like, yeah, no, I gotta be honest with you. Like I am talking to you and I am, I still have other connections, you know, like they're just, it's just more like the, they're like kind of more aware of like the other situations and who's talking to who and like, what's going to happen. So yeah.
uh i'm very i'm very intrigued to see what goes down but there's a lot of there's a lot of couples for sure yeah i'm excited to keep watching um obviously it ends with us
um i thought it was good like i yeah i think it's been tough and like you said it's unfortunate because it's the same way with don't worry darling when there's the drama people are talking about the drama and like now we just want to talk about the movie take the drama out of it like just talk about the movie as a product yeah like i want to talk about the movie as if none of this drama fucking existed and i just saw the movie and that was it and so obviously you know when it comes to a book becoming a film there's going to be things that are left out
Spoilers. I don't know. Not spoilers. I'm just going to give that warning. If you haven't seen the movie yet and you want to watch and you read the book. There are obviously a couple of things that were left out. And I felt like for the most part, they covered their bases. One of the big things that was left out was the magnet. Lily had the magnet, the Boston magnet. And that's kind of what...
um, causes the first, you know, incident that happens when Ryle hits Lily for the first time with the oven is that he's asking her about the magnet there at her apartment. Her apartment doesn't exist in the movie. Um, I'm sure that had to do with budget. Like they were like, all right, majority of this movie takes place, not in her apartment. Maybe we'll just cut her apartment out of this and kind of like adapt to that. Um,
So that to me, I was like, oh, they never show her apartment. The first time this happens is in her apartment. She's cooking a casserole and they're drinking wine and he's asking about the magnet. And then it stems from there because then he burns his hand and it's a whole thing. So like the magnet wasn't discussed. Her apartment's not in it. They changed the name of the restaurant.
actually where they filmed is one of my favorite restaurants in Jersey City. So when it popped up, I was like, oh my God, that's South House, which is a delicious restaurant in Jersey City if people want to check it out. And I was like, oh my God, that's it. So they changed the name of the restaurant from Bibbs to Roots. And like that then kind of tied together the tattoo that Lily has. Like I can see why they changed that.
some things to make it work. To me, it didn't affect the story. Like I wasn't so thrown off by the changes that I thought, oh my God, how did they leave this out? I thought that it was pretty spot on and the changes that they made and the characters that they left out, I thought was okay.
Yeah, I agree with you on that. There's some things like, of course, and when anything is adapted from a book, right? Everybody has their different favorites, different, like they're different. Oh, I really liked that part of the book or that chapter really resonated with me.
And sometimes things get cut. Sometimes things get changed. And then you're like, oh, like that kind of sucked. And it does like, because when you make a book into a movie, not everything from the book is going to make the movie. They have to make changes. There are certain things like there are certain things I wish they had included more of like I and people I've seen people with the complete opposite argument that I, that I thought like I wanted to,
more young lily and atlas like i had thought like they really were not like there was very brief flashbacks um and they were short and i felt like you didn't get to fully like feel those two fall in love and that
was such a big part of the book for me. And like, kind of just like some of young Lily's habits of like the journaling and like the, like the journal was a big thing. I thought also to kind of leave out, there's certain things that I'm like, cut.
Do you think they cut the journal out because it had to do with Ellen DeGeneres and they were like, we need to cut Ellen DeGeneres out of this? Yeah. I mean, I also don't know if legally they could even like mention her name, you know, like if it's right, they put, they like did a little nod to it when they were watching TV and Ellen was on, but I thought like, yeah, like cutting the journal out. Like there's one second where she's writing, like she's writing in a journal. It says like, dear Ellen, like you can see it, but it's not acknowledged. And then also like that journal, um,
him find like rob finding that journal is also a big thing so there are certain things yeah that i feel like it wouldn't have been difficult for them to maybe include but i you know whatever it is what it is
Yeah, I agree with that. Like the journal, the magnet, you know, the certain lines that were like, oh, the keep swimming, like her telling Atlas at the end that like her daughter's middle name is Dory. Like that's not included. Adult Atlas could have had more than like eight lines also. Yeah, I was like such a fan of Adult Atlas that I and I was like,
wanting him to be on the screen so much more than he was. And I felt like the reason that they cut the whole Dory thing at the end was because they didn't address it at all during the movie. So like they would have had to have put that keep swimming, finding Nemo thing with Ellen in the movie somehow to then get it to the end, which I felt like they could have, like I felt like, but maybe they couldn't, like, I don't know. I don't know. Sometimes it's tough, like in literature, like that can read things.
as like a really cute story, you know? And then sometimes I feel like, like that could have been a creative thing for the movie that where if they, in a movie, I could see it coming across maybe a little cheesier, you know? Yeah. I mean, it is definitely cheesy. So like. Totally. But I think. Out loud. If what I'm getting from like readings, I'm once again, like I said, it's tough because there is all this drama that's going on. So it's like, you were getting all these other details. Yeah.
But to me, it just feels like the way that now they're claiming Blake had gotten involved was to maybe shake what could have been what they have said in this Hollywood Reporter article, like a hallmark movie. And I think, you know, wanted to not have it feel like that, I guess, where it's like maybe sometimes some of those cheesier lines they tried to like
not include but at the end of the day I mean there's still like there was still that still happens with a movie like this you know right I thought Jenny Slate was so good he was great and obviously she was comedic relief but at the end when she said like as his sister you know
I would ask for you to forgive him. But as your best friend, like I'm begging you to never go back to him, which I thought was such a strong point at the end of the movie. And for somebody who had like such a comedic role throughout the film to like really hit that strong point at the end. I loved that. I thought it was good. Like I, like I, I enjoyed it. I, I cried a lot. Like I, I thought it was super emotional. Yeah.
My Tears Ricochet, Taylor Swift playing. I think that made people super emotional as well. The song with what's going on. So I'm going to give it an A minus. Wow. I'm between A minus and B plus because I don't know if it's just the movie theater experience that makes me, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I don't know if it's something I would ever watch again. Yeah. Like,
maybe one more time but i'm not it's not something like i'm throwing on to watch no totally and obviously it's like a heavy topic so like yeah that would make sense i'm gonna i'm actually gonna go b plus yeah i think um i will say i thought like the creative decisions for telling the story were really powerful i thought that they did that in a in a in a really well done way of like
Lily at the beginning saying, you know, I'm an unreliable narrator narrator. And then that kind of being explored through the telling of her relationship with Ryle, because as you're watching it, you know, they, they,
they blur the lines a little bit when the, when those scenes first happened, like it's not, it's, it's like, you're almost seeing it through how Lily was experiencing of it. Like, Oh, is, is that what happened? Is it not like, Oh no. Like, yes. Accident. Like, and you kind of like, it's very blurry. Those moments are blurred. You're not getting the full thing. And then it all coming together.
to fruition at the end of her really realizing like, no, that is what happened. And you see the moments and you see how it really happened and what happened. And you see her have that revelation of like, I it's I'm out. Like this is done. I'm not doing this anymore. And I thought that the way they told that,
was, was, was very well done. Yeah. I agree with that. Yeah. Yeah. Blake, I know like Blake's outfits and everything was like such a hot topic of conversation before the movie came out. Cause people saw the pictures and all these things and yada, yada, yada. I, you know, as Lily, I thought Blake did a great job, um,
And I mean, I thought Justin Baldoni was also fantastic. Like they played the characters really well. I know people were iffy on those castings early on, but it made sense for the movie. And I think Colleen Hoover did adjust that too. Like she's like, I made the mistake of having them be so young in the book. Like,
there aren't 25 year old neurosurgeons. Like, you know, like there's not like they're, they needed to be aged up and it does, it totally does make sense. Um,
for that. And I don't know, I might, I, I'm like the costume stuff is tough. Cause I know that that may have been a sensitive area. It feels like, you know, Blake talking about, you know, the three, four months postpartum and all those things. I think like sometimes that was maybe involved with the, with the outfits that were, that were chosen and things like that. So I feel like a little bit more sensitive, like giving a lot of
commentary on all of that. And then...
I mean, Owen Hunt jump scare. I mean, how did... I had no clue that he was playing her father. And I was just like... And, like, the funeral and the pictures up. And I was like, oh, my God, what is that? I'm like, why is that Owen Hunt? Like, what is happening? So that got me. I mean, he's, you know, he doesn't really have... There's not much to him in the movie. Because, obviously, like, you know, you see that play out in his...
fight with Atlas and everything, but, like, there's no... You're not really seeing a lot of conversation, so he's just kind of like a figure. Like a bad figure throughout the movie, but you're like, oh, my God, I just did not see him coming. Yeah, there were so many... I mean, also...
Young Lily sounds exactly like Blake Lively. Like their voices are exactly the same, which I think is wild. There's so many people on TikTok that have like auditioned for this role and they all kind of sound like Blake Lively. I'm like, whoa, like the voices are so similar. So that was interesting. I thought Young Lily, Young Atlas were great. And I thought Older Atlas was great too. I would have loved to have seen more of him, but obviously, you know, that's just how the-
Yeah. Welcome the movie goes. But yeah, I mean, look, that's why she wrote a second book, right? Like everybody read the book and they were like, oh my God, we want more. We need more. We need, we need more Atlas. Like we need more Lillian Atlas. And, and Colleen was like, okay. And she wrote a whole second book like years later. So. Right. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to go B plus for that. And that is, and high school musical. I give an A obviously. All right. That's what I watched. I watched.
The first, I guess, I don't know how many episodes are out. Four? Five? Maybe four of Love Island. I love Island. Love is Blind UK. Yeah. I'll give that a B. I'm intrigued. It's good. We'll see what happens. Like just kind of filling the reality TV void. And then I watched the, what did I watch? I watched the first episode of Lady Jane.
My Lady Jane or just Lady Jane? I think it's My Lady Jane. Yeah. I watched the first episode. I'm a little iffy. We'll see. I'll continue. But it didn't, like, sell me right away, which normally this area would. But, I mean, I'll give the – I only watched the first episode. I'll give it, like, a C+. I think because I love The Great so much –
That the whole time I was just kind of like comparing it to The Great. And was like, I just felt like it was maybe trying to be like that a little too much. Yeah. And yeah, I wasn't immediately pulled in right away. And so maybe that'll change. But that's how I felt about the first episode. Joe and I watched the...
Second episode of House of the Dragon, which was...
boring i'll give that like a c i just i couldn't even like it there would that nothing really happened too much in that episode um i want we watched the uh better documentary which had come out like a while ago um but we were just kind of browsing and threw it on the other night really good really good i don't think i fully realized that
The Federer-Nadal relationship. Like, I was, like, sobbing at the end of this documentary. It was really well done. I liked it. I'll give that a B+. I thought it was really good. And it ends with us. I don't know. It's tough to agree. I think it ends with us. We'll probably fall around...
I'm going to say B minus. That's probably where I'm at. I'm honestly torn between like a C plus or B minus. I'll go B minus. I was, I think I was, I was, I was pleasantly surprised, like leaving the theater of how much that I had thought, like, you know, thought the movie was, was good because, yeah,
you have to form your own opinions, right? And like everybody, it just felt like the conversation around it was, had been more negative. And then I kept seeing like TikToks of girls being like, here's what I think the movie is going to be before and then rating it after. And like, they were all like bad. I was like, oh, okay. But I didn't feel that way. Like mine went up. Like I went in expecting like a lower and then left being like, oh, that was better than I thought.
Same. I think that's why my grade was high. I was pleasantly surprised because I went in with low expectations. Yeah. Yeah. But I'm seeing awful reviews and I think people just want to hate it. Like, I agree. I think that's what happens. Sadly, I think it's the Blake thing, too. I think people want to hate Blake. Yeah, I think they just want to hate it. And then that's what's happening. Yeah. Objectively, though, like, what did you think of her acting like in the movie? Because I've been thinking about her acting.
I'll be completely honest. Like for me, Blake Lively, like I don't think is like an incredible actress. Like I, I often just see Serena from Gossip Girl. Like I feel like she kind of like,
plays a similar, like, she has different roles, but they come across similar to me. That just might be, like, her voice and her whole demeanor. Like, that might not be, like, because she's bad or anything. Like, it just might be whatever. I'll say this, though. Whoever fucking was throwing out the idea that Blake Lively should play Britney Spears...
is out of their fucking minds because i know that we talked about that last week and i and we kind of glazed over and it didn't really hit me like when it was brought up and then when i was watching it ends with us and like after i thought about it and i was like who the fuck would ask blake glively she's playing britney spears like this is not like what there's no way like there's no way
I think the pile on her acting is coming from a place of people not liking her right now as well. I thought she was pretty good. I don't know. I thought she was pretty good. Yes, I think a lot of her performances aren't unbelievably where I'm blown away. But...
I think a lot of people are nitpicking on the acting for her right now because of the other things. Yeah, I think it's a file on. Yeah. Like I, I thought she was pretty good. I will say like I and I thought like there's a lot of what heavy moments that I think they both like both of them played really well. Like it sucks that.
there is an issue between the two of them because I thought they still really told the story very well. Yeah. I mean, during, in the beginning of the movie, I was like, why do I just keep hearing Serena from Gossip Girl? And then like that, that went away. Like as the movie went on, that left my brain. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, I think she just, you know, she just has a voice like that, you know? Yeah, and it's honestly how I feel about Ryan Reynolds. I think Ryan Reynolds just plays Ryan Reynolds in every movie. Yeah, right. That's my hot take about Ryan Reynolds. Yeah, so...
I don't know. I personally thought like I, I hadn't, I had no issue with, uh, with her performance to be honest. Yeah. No, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have really thought about it. And then, you know, yeah. No, you said people have been piling on with that. And I truly think it just comes down to being like a huge pile on. Yeah. Um, yeah.
I think that's like basically everything I watched. High School Musical. Yeah, High School Musical. I mean, High School Musical is an A. It's just a great movie. No, what did you watch? I watched the last two episodes or last three episodes of Gen V. Very good. Although I did find out some really sad news that like one of the main actors in it,
like one of the kids died like after last season oh my god that's so awful on the way to like filming season two so i'm sure that they had to like scrap like it was like a motorcycle accident that is so sad so yeah oh my god wait i i know who you're talking about but i didn't realize he was in that show yeah so i think they like had to obviously like completely like scrap whatever they were gonna do
Damn, that is absolutely awful. Chance. Yeah. This was, because he was also in the, Chance Perdomo, he was also in the, he was in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. And then he was also in all the, some of the after movies. Yeah, that's awful. I think he played his, like, he had a land, he played the brother of,
That is awful. Yeah. I did not realize he was in that. I did not realize. I mean, he's like, I remember seeing, I remember seeing the news of when he passed, but I did not know he was in, in that show because he was like the main character of the show. No, he's like top three. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah. But very good show. I'll give it a B plus. I'm excited for a season two, whenever that comes out.
Are they doing a season two? Yeah, they're doing a season two. I think that they just had to like change the whole storyline and like get rid of his character. But I watched the new Matt Damon, Casey Affleck movie on Apple TV, The Instigators. Just fine. Like at best, like I'll give it a C minus. Like it just feels like they wanted to make like a Boston movie that
like kind of combine all the movies they've made into one Boston movie just for fun. Like kind of like Adam Sandler style where they're just like, why not just make a movie with our friends? Like, it'll be fun. Like there were so many like random Boston cameos in it. And it just didn't feel like anyone was really like putting in like their full effort. It was just like, Oh, we're going to do this movie. I mean, Jack Harlow's in it. Like, but it's still like,
They're all great actors and it's still like a fun watch, I guess, but it's so corny at points. But yeah, I'll give that C minus. I watched A Quiet Place Day One with Lupita and what's his name from Stranger Things? Oh, Joseph Quinn. Yeah.
Good. Like, not as good as the first Quiet Place. And I feel like the story is just, like, kind of... Like, it was a good movie, but I just feel like at some point it's like, yeah, every movie is the same. Like, you can't talk and, like, these monsters are coming after you. It's like, doesn't matter. Like, this is supposed to be, like, the first day of, like, when this all started, which is, like, different, but it still, like, turns into the exact same thing as the other movies where it's, like, how much... Yeah. I'll give that a B-. She's always amazing in everything she does, but...
I watched this movie called Abigail, like a horror movie. Basically, the premise is there's like this gang of criminals that gets hired to kidnap a little girl and then hold her for ransom for like this rich dad. And this little girl turns out to be a vampire. And my gosh, but it's like very funny, too. I actually really liked it. I'll give it a B.
but it's like a funny horror movie um okay i would like is it supposed to be funny or i think it's supposed to be funny like yeah it definitely is is it on like streaming what's it yeah it was on it's on um it's on peacock i think uh angus cloud is actually in that so i don't know that must have been filmed a while ago but um yeah and then i watched high school musical i give it a b plus
solid like yeah i mean for what it is i can't dive right into it without fully getting into our get into it but like you know part of me is just like this one doesn't have been on it so like i don't know how high i can go like right how much higher that's why i gave this one an a yeah i need to leave room because i'll go to a minus like bet on it alone like raises it a half grade so yeah for sure um but yeah that's all i watched all right well that's everything we watched this week

All right, guys, let's get into it. High School Musical, the first movie. It's a classic. It is. I honestly, I'll be honest, I had a hard time taking notes. Same. I'll read them because I don't have a lot of them because I had a hard time and I wrote down why I had a hard time. Okay, I'll start off. I knew my life was going to change forever when the simple title of a Disney Channel original movie came on the screen. The simpleness...
of the black screen with like the times new roman text of a disney channel original movie i i got chills i got chills running through my body when i watched that back and i knew that this was going to change my life the first time i saw it i just knew it um second note
Gabriella's mom tried making Gabby happen, but it was never going to happen. In the first scene, she calls her Gabby. Yeah. Never again do we hear Gabby. No, maybe just something between mother and daughter. And let me tell you, she's not a Gabby. She's a Gabriella. She is a Gabriella. She's just not a Gabby. Yeah. I also knew when I saw Zac Efron for the first time, my life was going to change forever. Mm-hmm. Yep.
Seeing Zac Efron in the basketball court, I was like, oh my God, this is crazy. How did they find him? And thank God they did. Thank God they did. Then I have, it truly was the start of something new. All my notes are just like, I'm happy to be here. I know, same. Mine were too. Did you ever watch that show? So High School Musical happened and Zac Efron, the...
obsession began right and then i when i got older i went back and watched the uh tv show he did before high school musical no i never watched but okay so it was a show called summerland oh yes yes yeah and he like he still had like he still had his little gap
yes in his teeth and he played cameron and it was with laurie lachlan it was laurie lachlan jesse mccartney k panaker yes um i i actually did watch some of this yes and it was on the wb and it was only uh two seasons and then it got canceled but it is a it's a good um
It's like a really good early 2000s teen drama. Yeah. Yes. Because I remember Jesse McCartney in that as well. Jesse McCartney, yeah. I wrote, they were actually good actors. Yeah? I thought that they were really good. We're just going to be like, happy to be here. Happy to be here.
Who do you think... That's like multiple notes I have on this one actor. I don't know if I want to save it for my notes. Okay, say it, because I'm curious if I...
Troy's dad. Oh my God. I was going to say the exact opposite. I literally have written down Bart Johnson put on an award winning performance. He is so like over the top. It's hilarious. Like he's my favorite character. He has some of the most iconic lines in this movie. He's my favorite character, but it's because of like how ridiculous his acting is. The reason I wrote that down was because of Taylor.
like I, Taylor McKessie, like I thought was really good. And then I wrote that down. I was like, they were actually good actors. Yeah. My next note is the problem is I can't find anything bad to say. Yeah. I truly couldn't find anything bad to say about this movie. Like I was, I was like trying to write down funny things and I couldn't even think of any funny jokes or anything to make fun of. Cause I was like, this, this fucking movie is fantastic. It was just watching the movie, sitting on her couch, smiling. No, I was, I,
at one point I was watching and realized I wasn't even writing, like checking my phone or writing anything down. That's why I have such little notes is because I was just enjoying my time while watching the movie. My next note is, did Kenny Ortega win any awards for his insane choreography? Dancing with the textbooks? Groundbreaking. Yeah. Stick to the status quo. An ensemble cast performance? Yeah.
A+. Is Kenny Ortega in the Disney Legends? Because he should be. He should be.
He fucking shot high school music. I'm sorry. I'm cursing a lot because I'm passionate about how good high school musical is. High school musical, Cheetah Girls. Oh my God. My next note is Gabriella's hair was amazing the whole movie. Gabriella with the curls and a baby blue shirt. That's the combo right there. Yeah. That's the combo. Baby blue shirt to match Troy's baby blue eyes. Yeah. Yeah.
The bathroom scene will always be my favorite how did she not see her moment in any movie. Like when Gabrielle is hiding. I was thinking the same thing. She's standing right in front of her. He walks right by her. She looks in the mirror. He literally looks in the mirror and to the right where Gabrielle is standing. It's my favorite how did she not see her moment in any movie ever. Like I always, I'm like, how did she not see her? It's so good. Yeah.
coach bolton was unnecessarily rude to gabriella yeah like i was like why is he being rude to this young girl yeah like i understand he was like very you know mad that troy wasn't focused on basketball he did a kick in the ass the love of the game but gabriella was a good girl she wasn't like some little thotty that was like taking troy's attention away she was a mathlete like come on um
Who the hell is singing with Gabriella during When There Was Me and You? Who did they- I don't know. I don't know. I have the same note. I have the same note. I'm like, what did they do for certain- Like, anytime she went, like, too low, different voice. Deep woman's voice. Yeah. Like, we know that Zac Efron was mixed with Drew Sealy. Like, I saw Drew Sealy perform with the High School Musical cast. Who the hell did they mix Gabriella's voice with? Yep. Yep. And then my last note is-
And in the end, it was all just a callback. That wasn't even the fucking musical. It was just a callback. The whole movie is just about the callback. Well, what's so funny is when you rewatch it again, too, you're kind of like, what even is this musical? Like...
They don't even do the musical. It's just a callback. No, it's really great. I will get into mine. I started with
The line from the guy running the karaoke at the lodge when he says, someday you guys might thank me for this or not. I was like, wow, how meta? Because it really launched their career. Like, they should thank this man because...
it, it's, it all stems from this, this one moment of them singing karaoke together or, or not because of the breakup, you know? Yeah. You know, or not, you know, there's times in their lives where they probably were, were cursing high school musicals name, you know, but right. Never us though. Never, never, no. Uh,
And then I immediately said they really should have let Zach sing in the movie. Like, that is... It's unfortunately one of the more preposterous things because he goes from talking to singing and it's just clearly a different voice. Like, it's just like, let the man sing. I just don't understand. It's crazy that they wouldn't let him sing in this movie. And also crazy because... Clearly they had a thing against, like, deeper voices. Like, or like, they were like, we want everybody to sound really hot. I don't know. And then crazy because he sang...
in the second and third movie also sang in hairspray like zach aaron can sing well apparently he had to fight like he had to fight to let him for to let them let him sing yeah um i then said baby baby v was so adorable i mean she's just so cute like she was the cute so cute doesn't really get cuter honestly baby come back to me yeah
And it said Darbus was really thrown out detention super easily. Like it was just like everybody got detention like right away. Innovative basketball choreography, same kind of vibe. Kenny Ortega was just a genius.
you weren't seeing basketball basketball musical scenes like this then i have some iconic lines written down that really have stuck with me through the years and what the heck are those two doing in a tree the best is the best and then also when troy is like i want to try something new to his dad and he goes you mean like going left
That one kills me every time too. Like just talking about basketball, like, oh, you mean going left? The man loves basketball. Um, I wrote this down during Sharpay and Ryan's performance of, I said, 2006 fashion will not and should not ever be replicated. Like there are some things that come back around, but this era, it really, it really should not. Uh,
Kelsey just wrote an entire musical on her own. Like she's like a high school kid who was like, Oh, he, she's our composer. She wrote all the music, the lyrics, the song, everything. She wrote them all. She wrote it all. When she dropped her papers, you would have thought that like she got shot. Like the way that Zac Efron like sprinted to the stage. That was some good physical acting from her. You know, she really had to throw that in the air. Um,
Same kind of thing. Stick to the status quo. Just groundbreaking. That's all I have written down. Then I said Sharpay and Zeke never got to be anything. Yes, I was going to write that down and then I didn't. But yes, I had the same thought. What happened there? Why didn't they make that a thing?
thing I don't know he had such a crush on her and they just never let that be something my question is was this because they maybe didn't know if High School Musical 2 was going to be approved and or like whatever and then once High School Musical 2 was approved they were like no we have to keep up this whole Sharpay and Troy thing because then we would kind of run out of a storyline in High School Musical 2 so maybe they got through that in the end and then they didn't know there would be a second but then they had to keep up the whole Troy Sharpay thing
I agree. I agree. I think that definitely came into play. Another iconic line from Troy. That girl is Gabriella and she is very nice. Mm hmm. Mm hmm.
She is a nice lady. She is very nice. And that's when I wrote Bart Johnson put on an award-winning performance. He, some might call it overacting. Some might call it the perfect amount. And I would say the perfect amount. I then said, Chad, all time bad friend. You know, really just like to set up the sneak attack live stream camera. That's diabolical. Bad friend is supposed to be his best friend.
And it's also the same thing. John Tucker must die. They do the same fucking thing. And I'll tell you what, it's high school boys. He's supposed to be a good friend, but it's a high school boy friend right now. Totally. And then I said pretty innovative for 2006 that they did a full-blown surprise intervention video sneak attack with their computer. Also, the way that it was shot, it was filmed on a movie camera. The quality of it, it was in his face. It's like there's no way that they could have done that.
And then I said, like, same thing. There's just a different voice singing parts of when there was me and you. Like, I don't, I don't, that was never addressed. It was never talked about, but there absolutely is.
uh troy really nailed the big romantic gestures he always you know showing up in her in her backyard the whole thing um then i said why did they have to put kelsey in that little top hat you know it just was not necessary she's a composer i know but what was that hat oh god and then i said what even was this musical and what the fuck was the musical because it's so funny to me
That the parts that Troy and Gabriella and Ryan and Sharpay were auditioning for are the same roles. So I'm like, it's their auditioning for the same pair. But, like, how is that pair singing bop to the top and then, like, what? Who are these characters? Right. What is this musical? And Sharpay and Ryan are brother and sister. Yes. So...
Oh, God. I said there was a line violation on the opening tip of the basketball game. There was. He's over the line. They didn't reshoot that. That was referee Fran.
And then there's multiple parts during Breaking Free that honestly are core memories of watching it the first time and ingrained in my brain forever. It's changed me as a human and it changed me as a heterosexual female, you know? Where Troy moonwalking during Breaking Free. Oh my God. That changed lives. And then...
When he does the singing, breaking free, he does the, Ooh, you know, the exact car I'm talking about. That was the other one where I was like, Oh God, maybe fall in love with that man right there. And then I said for the closing basketball game, they could have really filled the gym a little bit more empty stands for a big championship. There's not that many, you know, fill the, fill the gym.
I was missing that. Here's the thing. I'm okay with that because realistically there's sometimes where there's too many people in the gym and I'm like, not everyone's showing up to the, to the championship game. Yeah. Yeah. Fair, fair. In this school they are. Yeah. I mean, this was basketball. Basketball is yeah. Basketball is life. Right. It's true.
Gabriella's red dress was a cultural moment. She came out in that red dress and red is her color. She looked amazing. And then my last and final note was...
I miss dance along TV movie premieres. The things that they would do when you could watch and they did the dance along so that you could learn all the moves. Yeah. That was the best. That was the best. That's what I did for one of my, my birthday parties when I was younger. It's like the only birthday party I really had was a, we put the high school musical to dance along thing on and, and yeah, it was the best way to sit at home with your friends, pop on Disney channel, watch that on a Friday night and learn all the dance moves.
So good. So good. Yep. Now kids just can look them up on TikTok. Yeah. You know what was also the best? The New Year's Eve. The Disney Channel New Year's Eve. I lived for the Disney Channel New Year's Eve. Yep. Totally. They did some really good additional specials when it came to High School Musical as well. They really had a fucking lockdown. Yeah, they did. They did. They did.

That's all me. Okay, I'll go through these. So my first one was Troy's dad overacting from the start. Like when they were playing basketball, I'm like, okay. Cause I didn't remember like,
his character really i'm like oh wow okay he's just like on another level than all the other actors yeah and he nails it honestly but it's like between him and miss darbus like they they equal each other feels like more natural to me i don't know uh don't come from bart like that i can't believe i thought zack efron was actually singing as a kid like
I did. I mean, it's not so far off though. Like his voice was mixed with Drew and then he was, but it's just like watching it now. It's just so obviously like a pre-recorded thing. Yeah. Um, I said, did Troy sing prior to this or was he just like, wow, I'm an incredible singer. Like in the moment, like he just started like belting out and like, it's like, had he ever done this before? Or he's just like, Oh wow. He just took over. Um,
So when he said, like, Gabriella, and then just looked into the distance, like, after she walked away, like, after, like, getting her number or whatever, I was like, that was the most dramatic thing I've ever seen. And it made my heart fucking flutter. I said, I think Ashley Tisdell gave the best acting performance in this movie. Just, like, pure... She's great. Like, character. She was great, but the thing is, like...
She had to, like, really play an over-the-top character, which I sometimes think is probably easier to do to play, like, an over-the-top mean person because she's supposed to be very dramatic. Whereas to be subtle, like Gabriella in Troy, is a different kind of acting. Also, was this... Was Suite Life already on TV? During... She, um...
Yeah, she was in Sweet Life by High School Musical at the same time. So it's, like, very similar to her character. Because there is not at all. Oh, not at all. She plays complete opposite characters. Sweet Life, she's, like, chill girl. Yeah, Sweet Life, she's, like, candy girl. She's not playing London Tipton. Oh, maybe I was thinking of London Tipton. Yeah, no, and then there's a High School Musical episode of Sweet Life where they're, like, auditioning to play the roles, and, like,
she's fighting to play like Sharpay and they're like, no. Oh, that makes it even more impressive. Yeah. I said, get your head in the game will always be a hit. Like that was sick. Then I said, Troy's dad is my favorite character. I think that was after he yelled like the tree thing. I'm like, this guy is hilarious. What the hell are you two doing in a tree? Yeah. I said, Miss Darbus is like an alternate universe Miranda Priestley.
like I don't know why like I just kept thinking of her that character this whole movie every time I mean they kind of look similar I guess but like I'm like if Miranda didn't like make it she would this is what you would have been a high school theater teacher that's funny
Oh, that's funny. Then I said Troy's dad is a lunatic. I think that was when he was like yelling at Gabriella. Hyper focus on Coach Fulton. I was just like, wow, take it easy, man. Like he's like, oh, like... This is a close practice. Yeah, it's like seriously. I said the same thing. He was a little too hard on Gabriella there. The difference between a Tony Award and Tony Hawk is a great line. That was...
And then I said them secretly filming Troy to show Gabriella is the original killer and Aaron like that. It was like the exact same thing. Like when she was just like watching the phone, I'm like, this is the exact same thing. Yeah. Um,
I could not stop laughing when he said when they were on the phone together when he was outside her house and he was like turn around and he's just like standing in her doorway or like window but like he had to like climb up there and he was talking on the phone the whole time so it wasn't like he was out of breath or anything like he's just like turn around and he's just right there yeah why elite athlete yeah
Troy doing double guns in the mirror and then sprinting through the locker room, like been pushing all his teammates out of the way. It was just very funny. And then my last one was, I love how there's a full band in the breaking free instrumental, even though there's just a piano on stage, like there's like drums and like,
No, I had that exact same thought. I didn't write it down, but I was just like, it is so funny that this is like meant to be an acoustic performance. Like it's just like supposed to be them in a piano, but it is not. And they're like dancing around as if that music is like, there's a full band on stage, but it's just a piano.
Oh my god, such a good point. Oh, well. I mean, honestly though, it still hits. Like, I don't watch this movie and go, yeah, this was a younger me thing. Like, I watch this movie and it stands the test of time. I'm like, yes, this movie's incredible. It was groundbreaking. It started a revolution. And I will continue to feel that way for the rest of my life. Like, it wasn't just a younger me thing. I truly think High School Musical is
Is the best. No, I agree. And I think it is a moment in time where I will always for the rest of my life, when I see somebody that wants to be an actor or a singer and an athlete, I'm like, oh, you're Troy Bolton. Like, you know, like it's just it's going to be referenced like that forever. Like even when I made the joke to him.
Joe's sister when we went to go see Wicked because the guy playing Fiyero was reading his playbill and it was like, you know, he's fantastic. He's an actor. He's tall. He's handsome. And then it was like, oh, he's a college. He was a college swimmer and was like good enough to compete in the Olympic trials at a certain point in his life. And I was like, oh, he's a he's a he's a Troy Bullen, you know? Yeah, he can do it all.
Did you have guy friends that wanted to be like, like acted like Troy Bolton? Because I did. Like I, I, yeah. My little brother.
My little brother went through an acting phase and I would not be surprised if it was because of high school musicals. Yeah. Like I, like I'm thinking of this kid specifically, like really tried to act like he was Troy Bolton. Like he played all the sports, but he also acted in all the musicals and like, like his whole demeanor, he like picked up on like trying to act like Troy Bolton. And who can blame a young man when he sees someone like Troy Bolton doing it all?
I look, I think, and like I said, I think it was a sexual awakening for many as well, for whoever in the movie, but there's, there's this tiny specific moments that I remember and watching it back. It's so funny because there are a couple instances where Zach leans like,
He leans against the wall and like a cool guy crosses his arms and he puts one leg up on the wall so that his knee is bent. And he's just like that. And that's all it took. That's all it took for me to be like, damn, that guy's cool. And you're, and you're just like, did they find you? How did they find you?
a perfect specimen like zach efron to put in this movie diamond where did he come from how did they find him they know it's beautiful beautiful a beautiful cast i mean all of them the one of the greatest castings like everybody nailed the roles yep everybody nailed their roles yep um so a for high school musical all around absolutely do you enjoy watching the movie now
Yeah, yeah, no, I remember, like, I can, like, vividly remember, like, when this came out and, like, watching it. Like, I think it must have been a Friday night. It was a Friday night, yep. I had nothing better to do with my life. I remember exactly where I was. But yeah, no, I remember, I didn't think it was 2006. For some reason, like, I thought it was later than that. But so I was only, like, 11. No, it was 2006 because...
They came out like every single year of my middle school life, which was just truly incredible timing for like for like like because when High School Musical 3 came out, I was going into high school. So they're all graduating high school.
And they're like, you know, they're big moments. Me and my friends were graduating eighth grade. And a lot of us were like going to different high schools because we all like, you know, we went to, we were at Catholic school for grade school. So like there's a ton of different high schools that some went to the public school, some went to other private schools. So we all went to go see the movie together and sobbed like babies because we were like, this is us. We're leaving each other. We're all going down.
different paths. Like it just lined up so perfectly with the age that I was at to be like 11, 12, 13 and be so locked into these movies. It was relatable. It was a relatable movie. Yep. Beautiful, beautiful films. And I can't wait to talk about the second one on Wednesday. I know I'm excited to watch. Like I like, I honestly, Friday night I had to stop.
