Hi folks, Sam Stone here from the artist formerly known as Broken Potholes, now Breaking Battlegrounds as we expand into Florida.

We recorded our show this week a little bit early due to the scheduling. We had some fantastic guests, and we wanted to accommodate their scheduling. We have Jason Chaffetz, former congressman, contributor to Fox News, host of Jason in the House podcast, and a New York Times bestselling author. And then we had Charles C.W. Cook, who is one of the great political thinkers of this time, senior editor for National Review. And then we had

I highly encourage you to be following both of them. We obviously were talking quite a bit about what was brewing at that time in Ukraine. And I swear that I think Vladimir Putin was waiting for us to finish recording our podcast to launch his invasion. So we wanted to just address that a little bit. Unfortunately, Chuck is tied up today. So I'm here by myself in our little bit of a home studio today.

And folks, this is an incredibly serious moment. I hope all of us understand how much we need to stand with the Ukrainian people. I have half joked on the program that when Putin started talking about invading Ukraine, Joe Biden should have simply told him that if you go into Ukraine, so does the U.S. Air Force.

I'm not joking about that at this point. The human tragedy that is occurring there is just beyond comprehension to most people here in this country and around the world. We have not seen this type of naked aggression on the European continent since World War II. And at the same time, we are seeing China really coordinating with Russia, putting a lot of pressure on Taiwan,

And if you are any of the Baltic states right now, even Estonia, for instance, which has been brought into NATO, you have to be really nervous about what's been going on and whether the U.S. is going to truly honor its commitments to your defense. This is something that...

is a complete failure of leadership. And there's simply no other way to put it. This is a complete failure of leadership on the part of the Biden administration. You have Xi and Putin who have basically looked Joe Biden in the eye and come away thoroughly unimpressed and ready to take advantage in every way, shape, and form that they can and are doing so. This is something that

should not be allowed to stand. The fact that Europe has been so weak in its response, the fact that the U.S. and U.S. environmentalists have put us in a position where we are now energy dependent, where we do not have the ability to supply our allies with the resources they need, has made this possible. And it is an absolute travesty. I mean, it is an absolute human tragedy. I have no

No good things to say about what this administration has done in foreign policy. Trump, for all the criticism, created a safer world. People, frankly, he was a strong leader. And even where people perceived him as being unpredictable,

That actually worked to our advantage, to the advantage of the world, because the bad actors across the globe just could not take comfort in a president who they weren't sure wasn't going to turn around and use the U.S. military against them. And now we have President Biden who has given mixed signals throughout the

who has basically told Vladimir Putin that he is free to annex at least portions of Ukraine. And Putin has taken that and run with it. Sanctions are not going to do enough. We need to give weapons to the Ukrainians. We need to arm them with every available weapon. We need to create a no-fly zone over the country of Ukraine and enforce it with U.S. aircraft.

We need to send a strong message to President Xi of China that no aggression against Taiwan will be allowed under any circumstances whatsoever. And that includes moving the U.S. Pacific Fleet in a position to defend Taiwan.

This cannot be allowed to stand. This type of aggression is a thing of the past or should be a thing of the past. And we have absolutely no excuse for the failure of the U.S. and our allies to stand up to these tyrants at this time. Folks, I have...

watched, you know, it's watched and studied history and There is one constant that when the good people stand down and stand aside The bad people of this world win and that is what is happening today The good people of Ukraine are being slaughtered Slaughtered in their streets and in their homes and we are doing nothing about it. I have no more words

I only wish to extend my deepest sympathies to those who are losing loved ones and to say to the Ukrainian people that while our president might have failed you, the American people stand beside you and God help you all. I hope that you will come through this. I am fearful of what Russia will do to all of you, but

understand that this can and should be a turning point for the entire world to stand united against this type of aggression. And the fact that we are not is a shame on every single one of us. This has been a Breaking Battlegrounds special. Thank you for following and tuning in. We will have more to come. We are going to be continuing to expand this podcast and the content that we have every week.

We are incredibly grateful for all of you who have supported and listened to us. But today, I'm asking all of you to stand with the people of Ukraine. This is something for which the world is totally unprepared, and we shouldn't have been. We should have seen this coming.
