Okay, so we're back and we're talking about how to start today for people right now struggling for where they're at currently, where they want to maybe change their life, improve their life, earn more money. How, you know, a few questions on how to start today. So if someone's in a bad place and they're trying to change their life, how could they start today around building more money, making more wealth for themselves? Well, it all starts with saving. Saving. You know, number one is save it. You always have to save money for a rainy day.
Now, what I also, what I believe in is this, is if you make $20, put up $10. You make $100, put up $50. So I truly believe in saving money for a ready day. That's a way that you can get started. You know, a lot of money that you save,
You can invest in yourself or invest in what you're trying to start. Yeah. Other than that, what would you say if someone was trying to start a business? I know there's a million options. You have some favorites. What do you think is a good one to start these days? Well, what would I say is a lot of times I always, well, for the people that's starting off, start off with a duplex. Nice. As far as real estate, a duplex, then move to a fourplex. Then let it gradually grow.
Slowly grow and then you you move up gradually. Yeah, and that's so that's real estate. Obviously you're a fan of that What about online anything online businesses social media? Well, I mean you have so many people with so many different online businesses You know, but for the online you have to build your fan base But lots on you don't have to have a lot of followers to make a lot of money so and if you are already doing good and
you need to take some of some of that money there's so many different sites today where you can give them a couple dollars so they can you know push help you push your own product so that's also another way you can make you know good money in today's time selling products online yeah absolutely you know i make i'm not selling no products online but i'm making a ton of money online can you talk more about how some ways you're doing that oh yeah i told you i can't reveal everything
I only get revealed a little bit. You know, we reveal a lot, but we talked about this earlier. Everything ain't for everybody, but we do. We tell a lot, but we don't tell everything.
I like that. And one thing I've noticed you've been... Because if you tell everything, if I tell you all my secrets, then whatever I'm doing is going to get saturated. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But one thing you are great at is leveraging your personal brand, leveraging your presence online, right? Through the internet. Yeah, but everything is about leveraging. Just in life, period. And a lot of times people are like, well, how can I get involved? In real estate, Floyd was a boxer, so he had money. Well, also, all you have to do is...
We're going to keep your credit clean so that you're able to walk in the bank and get a loan. Yeah, I like that. And for people that are maybe trying to start a business, do you think getting a loan is a good route or self-funding? It all depends on what you're getting involved with. Now, if it's an online business, it don't take too much money and you already is making good money just from just, it could be a regular job. Stack your money and do it yourself.
There's nothing like betting on yourself. Yeah, and I think a lot of people are afraid to make that leap. What would you, any words of wisdom? Never be afraid. Never be afraid. Failure is a part of success. You try, you try, you fail, you fail, then eventually you become successful. But the crazy part, if you don't ever try then, you don't know if you're going to be successful. So you shouldn't mind failing. I didn't mind failing, but every time I went out there, I was successful.
I think a lot of people are scared to even fail, right? To take that first step. A little bit of luck. We all need a little bit of luck on our side. So I think a little bit of luck was on my side also. Okay, so another question I have that I think a lot of people struggle with is taking that first step and building a vision, building goals, right? You talked a lot about that. So what would you say to someone that's just lost? They're in a miserable job, miserable life. They need to make a change. How do they build that vision and goal?
Never give up. Never give up. I feel like if God gave you life, God didn't give up on you. So never give up. We all have to start from somewhere. You know, we can start regroup, start over. And a lot of times, if you're going through a lot, it's okay to do an activity that you like to do. It could be skating. It can be bowling. It could be going to a movie. It could be working out. You know, do something to help you regroup and get focused.
and surround yourself with positive people that's going to push you and help you be great. Yeah, I like the environment side. Absolutely. I mean, just like earlier today when I met you on my play, you're the genuine guy, your energy was good, and I said, you know what, today everything's going to go cool. So a lot of times we work off energy. You know, that's how the world is. The whole world is energy.
And I say sometimes you'll just have to make hard decisions and cut out people if they're bad energy. Sometimes that's family members, friends. Sometimes it's best. Yeah. It's tough. It's sometimes, a lot of times it's best that if everything, everybody that's around you is not always for you. If they're not for you, you can remove them from around you, but in a polite way. I would guarantee everyone watching this right now has one person they probably need to remove.
Right. Maybe I would say I would say it's probably more than one person. Yeah. Well, when you when you have a huge team and a huge group, a lot of times it's a lot of people that need to be removed. A lot of times we as people that we need to be that need to be removed may give us an idea because I can. It was a person that I moved from my team where everybody thought that he was a liability.
He actually was an asset because he helped me with something. And that comes, I mean, the team side, sometimes the wrong players are in the wrong positions, right? Basically, you said the running back shouldn't be a quarterback. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, we on the same page. But it takes someone visionary to see that sometimes. So if someone's running a team, how do you figure that out? I think just with time. Okay.
In due time, everything reveals itself. I truly believe that. In due time, everything reveals itself. Yeah, and you talk a lot about patience. I think that, you say, is one of your superpowers, right? It's one of the main things. Yeah, yeah. But people these days, especially, they're impatient. Here's to gratification. Everybody wants everything. Right then and right now. Yeah. Yeah, Warren Buffett, you mentioned, he's obviously done very well through patience, right? Man. What? Coca-Cola?

for a simple 30 second review. It would mean the world to me. Send me that screenshot. I would love for you to leave that review and I would appreciate it very, very much so we can keep growing this show and make it awesome. So let's get back into the episode. I appreciate you guys and let's dive back in.
So talk can we talk a little about patience in business and investing? Let's talk about what you want to know. Well, I think most people want they want results now, right? They want results now. What would you say? If I said they want instant gratification, they want they want everything right now, but they don't want to put in the hard work that it takes. They don't want when people go out there and try to be an entrepreneur, try to be a CEO when they fail. The first time they fail, they feel like they act like it's the end of the world. Yeah.
Get up, move on to the next or rebuild what you was already starting. Yeah, and I mean, when you're doing such big things, sometimes you're failing in small aspects every single day, but the winners just keep pushing. They keep going. You find that in life?
So like when you're doing something so big and your goals are so big, you have to embrace those knockbacks, those failures, and you have to keep pushing through it. But a lot of times to get to the big dance, it's the small things that count. It's all the small things that count. You know, when I think about my boxing career, right? I think about when I used to be fighting as an amateur, when 10 people was in there, 20 people was in there.
to going to an arena fighting in front of 80,000. You go from 10 people to 100,000 or from 20 people to 20,000. I mean, that's why never give up, never stop believing. We all got to start from somewhere. And even like if it's real estate, if it's online businesses, never stop believing. Keep grinding, keep working and make sure you've got the right team that's going to help you build.
I love that. Yeah, I think that's a great summary of like all the things you're saying, right? Small steps, patience, believing in yourself, vision, pushing through. And part of that is who you are today and what you feel today, right? I'm where I'm at because I believed. You believed first. What can you say to someone? Last question. What could you say to someone that needs, how do they build that belief in themselves? They've been knocked down. I won't. Whoever's watching this, I want you to believe because I believed.
My dad got shot. He was holding me. My dad got shot. They told me he'd never be able to walk again. He came back. He ran two marathons and he kept boxing and became number one in the world to fight for the title. He didn't fight for the title, but he worked his way back after being shot. My mother was on drugs. She'd been through so many ups and downs. She got off drugs. Now she's been drug free for, what, 30 years? A beautiful woman, a positive grandmother.
inspiration in my life. All she did is kept believing and kept working hard. Same thing you guys need to do. I've been through a lot with my dad, my mother, my family. I want you guys to continue to believe. Don't let nothing stop you. Don't let nothing hold you back. I didn't let nothing hold me back. Seven of us was living in New Brunswick, New Jersey in one bedroom. Seven of us. I beat all odds and got to where I got to. Believing and working hard. I mean...
If that doesn't end it perfectly and lets everyone know that they can change their lives like you did, I don't know what will. Thank you, man.
