Welcome back to another episode of Living the Red Life. This is a special episode I'm bringing Elena back on. I interviewed her about a year ago and I just spent a weekend with her 10X ladies here in Miami. One of the reasons I moved to Miami is it's now a 30-minute drive to big events like this. So I was, you know, behind the scenes, spent time with

Jared and the 10X team. And I sent my wife the full two days. So you may have saw my Instagram. I joke that I got two free days of childcare or wife care, but it was an awesome event. I popped in for the afternoon and hung out. And I'm going to give you some of the takeaways and then play some of these clips.

And the biggest thing that I love about Granville and Elena Cardone is their ability to be a power couple, a team, right? And what I'm going to teach you guys today and speak about for a few minutes before I get to the interview with Elena is the biggest thing that, you know, I think my mindset has changed in the last year or two, especially the last 12 months.

is once you, I mean, you know, you get your finances and your money and your team and all that sort of stuff in order, you realize to be ultra, ultra successful, like top zero, zero, zero, 1%. It's all about your energy and your environment. So I've spent the last year

hyper-focused on that. And who makes up the biggest part of your energy and environment? Well, it's your spouse, right? The person you live with, arguably, right? Maybe your children too. And then obviously your team and your staff, okay? So, yeah,

I found that, you know, you have to be super aligned. Me and my wife, Amanda, haven't always been super aligned. We spend a lot more time trying to stay and get super aligned. And that's an ongoing thing, like a muscle, right? You can, you know, you can spend time in the gym working on it, get a great in great shape. But if you then stop and quit the gym and go back to your old ways in six months, you look like crap again. So sadly, sadly. And it's the same with relationships. So

you know, the message today, and you'll hear this in the interview and Elena and all the guests spoke about it a lot over the last two days is creating that synergy with your top five, right? Or at least that's what I'll say is like, I mean, it's your spouse, it's your family. Um, and I've talked in previous episodes, I mean, I shot a whole episode a couple of months back on, on environment and energy. So go listen to that. If you want to hear me kind of ramble and rant on about it. Um,

But, but especially having alignment between you and your spouse right that Graham and Elena do really well with that they push each other, Elena pushes Graham right and Elena takes care of her end, and I think for you guys listening whether it's your husband your wife, whoever business partner maybe.

or your key staff member, your COO, you guys have got to be a yin and a yang. You've got to, and what you have to do is you have to work hard and have great communication and sit downs and discussions to stay aligned. A lot of you right now, you might think you're not aligned or you might mean there's not much support or it's not how it should be, but you probably never had a solid, hard conversation about it. And then just like an employee, you might meet with an employee monthly, right? Graham and Elena do that.

And I love that. And, you know, I'm not saying treat it like a business, but many of the aspects of good communication and expectations extend into parenting. They extend into being a good spouse. They extend into being a great coach if you coach athletics, right? And of course, business. And I mean, people are too afraid to bring business principles into personal life because they don't want it to sound like a business. But that's like a limiting belief. It's just it's actually a

core principle of communication, right? And being on the same page. And I mean, you know, some of the most successful people in the world do have like monthly reviews, right? And you might not call it exactly that, but it's so, so important. So dive into today's episode.

go back if you've not already and listen to my episode on energy and environment. And I really, really, really encourage you guys to think about, you know, have a sit down this, this next week. Okay. With your right hand or your COO or your husband or your wife or your girlfriend, right. Or your boyfriend, or maybe it's a parent, right. If you're young and it's basically whoever you're spending time and energy with, okay. Have a sit down and,

and be honest. Honesty and hard conversations is one of the healthiest things to do, but society always, always, always runs away from it. Okay. And I really encourage you and I keep encouraging people to not do that. It's one of the best things you can do, even though it might suck for five minutes, like doing interval sprints up a hill, you know, high intensity interval training is one of the best things you can do for your health and your fitness. It's going to suck for five minutes, but then you're going to get lifelong benefits. So,

Have those conversations. Listen to this episode. Listen to how Elena works with Gran to build that empire. It just reminded me these last two days, which is why I wanted to play this back for you guys. It's something that I still need to work on too. No one's perfect. And this was a reminder for me as well. And I wanted to just share that reminder with you guys, my audience, right? And a part of living the red life is...

The entire life, not just the business. And even if it was just the business, you need the entire life synced around the result you're trying to achieve, okay? Around the business. So get synced in all aspects of your life. Enjoy the episode and I'll see you guys very soon. This is Living the Red Life. This is Living the Red Life.

You see all the entrepreneurs online with the fancy cars, big houses, unbelievable vacations. How did they do it? You're in the right place to learn. This is Living the Red Life, and now your host, Rudy Moore.

Guys, what's up here at Grant's office with the very famous Elena, the arguably better half. I don't know. That's what I hear. Yeah. I mean, is there really an argument about that or was this just kind of common knowledge? I don't know. So we were chatting last night at dinner and I wanted to do this today to talk about the mindset of success, but also building the family around success, the support around success.

and how to become successful because, you know, the famous saying, you're five people you spend your time with. And I always say, well, you spend most of your time with your family, right? And they're included in that five. So I would love maybe just tell my audience like what we were talking about last night about how you've always been there with Grant pushing him and how you had to come together as a team and share the vision like we were talking about. Yeah, well, you know, in 2008 when the economy collapsed,

That's when it really shed light into our existing relationship at the time, which was I was operating on my own. Grant was in his world. We were yet married. I was building. He was building. We were coming home. We were somewhat destroying because I was vying for and maybe he was vying for this power position struggle.

2008 happened, I'm pregnant with my first child, the economy collapsed, multiple, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. I was forced to look at that time of like, wow, you know, Grant, I believed wasn't really strong enough at the time with the amount of hit that he took.

to get through it by himself. And I really looked at what it would take to get behind, to support him, beside him, however you want to language that, but really get behind him and to support him into trading in my thing, my acting career, but to really get behind him and support him and can we get to this multi-billion dollar empire that we envisioned

back then. That came out of the last recession in 2008. That's when I really looked at, wow, you know, how can we get on the same page? Who are we? First of all, who are we as a couple? Where are we going? Who are we? What do we want? It really got us like fortified on the same page. And then we looked at

Okay, let's delegate the roles that I can do to help us get there. And what can you do to help us get there based on our strengths and weaknesses? Right in the lane. Yes, so we can work together. So I'm not fighting for you because I already have my departments that I'm the boss of over here. I get to be, I get to run and then you get to run. And now it's clear you make the decisions in this area. I make the decisions in this area. When we came together...

In 2008, and we really figured that piece out, we really started to make huge exponential strides towards actually achieving those dreams together. And I think the part that's important is probably a lot of relationships, like when it's good, it's good, right? Like when revenue's good, bills are paid, everyone's growing, people are making a ton of money, most times you see true colors come out and you see strength in weakness, right? So it's like...

In the last five years, maybe everything's been good and you deal with it. But as we've talked about, we talked about this morning and at dinner, next year is going to be a lot different. Next year is going to probably change. And if revenue is going down and everything's getting harder. And people panic and want to retreat. Yeah, then that's when that support network, the five people you spend your time with in the family environment, so, so important. To have them all on the same page, on the same mission, like being able to support each other, show active interest in the success of each other.

Being strong enough to bear the weight of tough times and not only bear the weight, but become stronger in the meantime to really be able to get through it, to come out on the other side. So far ahead of everywhere else if you just prepare. And I see this a lot of Am

members, right? Like we work on the mindset for them. But then if they leave the Zoom call for 23 more hours in the day, they're with someone that doesn't support that mindset. One hour doesn't help. It's like personal training in that hour. It can be great. But if you eat crap and don't sleep the rest of the week, it's not going to help you. Right. And the five day challenge that's coming up, you're sharing this right. How to build that from that side, how to structure it for success. So that's probably one of the bits I'm most excited for.

Oh, I'm excited too. Yeah, that's going to change because a lot of people like the marketing, the sales, the business advice, obviously it's so important, but it's there. It's accessible, right? This stuff isn't really accessible. No one's really teaching that.

That's right. And it really is strength in numbers. I'm a testament to that. It's how we run our empire. And, you know, it's crucial. Can you imagine being in a distraction-free environment where you get to make decisions with confidence and certainty, knowing that your family is supporting you because they're all linked into the mission? I mean, it's strength in numbers. And energy and environment, right?

Right energy environment. I talk about that a lot. I pay a lot of money for my place where I live, right? My offices being around the right people. And I get rid of people very quickly if they don't give me that right energy, that right environment, staff, friends, right? You've got to create that. I always talk about a golden force field. You've got to put yourself in, right? Because business is hard enough and next year it's probably going to get harder. So you need to build the foundations

ready for it. And to have the family buy in to understand, you know, that how to weather the storm and to really keep them actively engaged. So you're not branching off doing your own thing, excluding them, coming home, expecting them to be all inclusive and, you know, expecting them to understand the bubble that you've just excluded them from. Do you know what I'm saying? That creates the friction. And then you go back into your business and now you've got them on your mind when it should be business because we're having people

failing times, but imagine if you actually can continue to create in the relationship and with the business mindset, everyone together to where you can actually come home. It'll alleviate and help smooth out those waters. Most people don't have that, right? That's the problem. So the final two questions quickly, uh,

The five days, right? It's coming up. I'm excited. You're there. January 24th and the 28th. Yeah, probably the most game-changing four or five days you'll spend next year to get ready for the year, to change the way you see business. Free event. And Grant's helped always push me to that next level. You've helped me on the family side, the subconscious part that people don't talk about, right? So

You guys, I'm gonna be there. I'm gonna be there for the markets inside, Graham's there for everything, right? Making you think bigger, lifting you up, showing you how to work through maybe harder times through recessions. And then you're gonna be there building that support network and that. So last question, right? You need to sign up, click the link, join us. We're all gonna be there hanging out, probably the best week of your whole next year. So final question before we wrap up, where is the red dress?

I don't know. I gave the red dress away and now mini me is making it look so good. I'm like, dang, I like that dress matches your outfit perfectly. Right? Good. All right. Well, I appreciate it. Hope you guys enjoyed that. Hope you learned something. Hope you can take that away and implement it and join us for a full week where we're going to be talking about this all week, getting you, your family, your spouse, right? Your network, your five friends, your five people connected.
