Today, he took a victory lap of sorts at a rally in Washington, D.C. The soon-to-be 47th president, Donald Trump, took the stage Sunday at the Capital One Arena after a parade of speakers and performers to tell the assembled crowd that he was going to win.
And once he takes the oath of office Monday, people will see from the border to the fires out west. I will act with historic speed and strength and fix every single crisis facing our country. We have to do it.
We're not going to have a country. The Capital One Arena is expected to be filled to capacity again on Monday with people watching the inauguration, which because of cold weather has been moved inside the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. With bitter cold in the forecast, most of the inauguration activities tomorrow have been moved indoors. Fox weather meteorologist Bob Van Dillon is in Arlington, Virginia. Temperatures are going to be extremely cold later on this evening. Right now we're in the mid-30s.
Snow, and then behind that snow, temperatures are going to be dropping very quickly through the 20s, ending up to about 20 degrees. But with the winds howling between 20 and 35 tomorrow afternoon, wind chills starting later on this evening, falling down through the teens overnight tonight. Wind chills in Washington, D.C., single digits, and they're not going to rebound whatsoever by tomorrow afternoon. The blast is known as a polar vortex, and it could plunge more than 30 states into the deep freeze for much of the week.
An arrest in connection with the recent stabbing of an Indian movie star. Police arresting a 30-year-old man in Mumbai on Sunday in connection with the stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan. That attack shocking the country's film industry and raising concerns over the lack of security in Mumbai, where many Bollywood actors live. Khan was stabbed with a knife on Thursday at his home, sustaining one deep wound near his spine.
A female employee at Khan's home was also injured during the attack. The actor is out of danger after undergoing surgery. The suspect is a Bangladeshi citizen who entered India illegally. Khan is also a movie producer and has been featured in about 70 films and television series.

Southern Californians are bracing for gusty winds with a heightened risk of wildfires less than two weeks after the deadly blazes killed at least 27 people and ravaged thousands of homes. The National Weather Service has issued a warning of a particularly dangerous situation. Reports of L.A. and Ventura counties from Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Those warnings come as firefighters continue to battle two wildfires.
