Brian Stile(未在原文中直接引述,但Roger Stern的陈述中包含了他的观点)认为该法案不完善,但仍是朝着控制政府支出迈出的一步。

Reacting to the Senate, I'm Roger Stern, Fox News. The Senate passed the GOP budget bill overnight, but the process isn't over yet as the bill still has to pass the House. Republican Congressman Brian Stile of Wisconsin on the Fox report explaining how he sees the bill. The Senate bill is wholly inadequate to get our spending under control, but the good news is this is just a step in the process to unlock where we can actually get the legislation done.

Democrats on Capitol Hill are outraged by the spending bill. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer posted on X, with their budget, billionaires win, families lose.

Demonstrations against President Trump and billionaire Elon Musk held across the U.S. today to protest the administration's actions on government downsizing, the economy, human rights, and other issues. More than 1,200 hands-off demonstrations were planned by more than 150 groups, including civil rights organizations, labor unions, and veterans. A massive crowd gathered in Manhattan's Bryant Park where this man spoke out against the president's tariff plan. All of us that took elementary economics...

Understand that tariffs don't work. They're destructive. The White House was asked about the protests and issued a statement saying, President Trump's position is clear. He will always protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for eligible beneficiaries.

A record number of Americans say they cannot afford to pay for necessary health care or medication. A new Gallup poll says 11% of U.S. adults are cost desperate. That amounts to nearly 29 million people who both lack access to affordable care and have recently skipped care because of costs. And the share of adults classified as cost secure, those able to access and afford quality health care, has dropped to just 51%.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with President Trump in Washington on Monday. Fox's Stephanie Bennett says they'll talk about the war with Hamas. President Donald Trump has repeatedly continued to make it clear that he wants this war to end. And however, Israel's military operation in Gaza continues to push on. Meanwhile, this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Budapest, as Hungary says it will withdraw from the International Criminal Court.

something Netanyahu praised. And it also marks the first time he stepped foot on European soil since the ICC issued an arrest warrant against him. For now, along with the war in Gaza, it's likely President Donald Trump and Mr. Netanyahu will discuss the president's sweeping new tariff policy, which includes a 17 percent tariff on Israeli goods. The timing of Netanyahu's trip could still change because of his legal problems in Israel.

The Mid-South is bracing for more severe weather. The National Weather Service here in Memphis is cautioning that flash flooding could be life-threatening and catastrophic, especially for communities north and along the I-40 quarter throughout Saturday. These storms will move through and residents who are affected in these areas should stay alert, avoid driving on flooded roads, and take immediate action if you are being told to evacuate.

This situation is developing, so keep your safety a top priority. Of course, download the Fox Weather app at foxweather.com and stay up to date with the latest updates. That's Fox Weather's Keanu Lewis in Memphis, Tennessee.

The U.S. is revoking all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders due to the country's failure to accept the return of citizens that are sent back there. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says South Sudan fails to respect principles that apply to every country. He says countries have to accept deported citizens in a timely manner. The new rule is effective immediately. I'm Roger Stern and this is Fox News.
