What a difference a day makes. I'm Daria Albinger, Fox News. A day after the U.S. attacked three Iranian nuclear sites, we're learning more about the planning that went into what's now known as Operation Midnight Hammer. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson at the Pentagon. Operation Midnight Hammer launched early Saturday morning.
Nine B-2 stealth bombers took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, but two acted as decoys, flying west over the Pacific for all to see and a scheduled refueling in the skies near Hawaii with a follow-on flight to Guam. But seven B-2s did not fly west.
They quietly peeled away and secretly flew east with minimal communication. Their destination? Iran's underground nuclear facilities. 14 massive bunker-busting bombs were released by the B-2s. 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from a guided missile submarine slammed into Isfahan, with its centrifuges buried even deeper than Fordow.
President Trump says Iran's nuclear bombs were taken right out of their hands. The White House says peace talks with Iran are still possible. If not, he says there are more targets to attack. Iran's foreign minister said the Islamic Republic must respond to the strikes. And he says for now, at least diplomacy is not an option.
At the United Nations today, the Security Council debating the next steps. This council must call upon the Iranian regime to end its 47-year effort to eradicate the state of Israel, to terminate its drive for nuclear weapons, to stop targeting American citizens and interests.

A judge in Tennessee has ordered the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from jail while he awaits a federal trial on human smuggling charges. He is not expected to be allowed to go free, though ICE is expected to detain him. A Wednesday hearing has been scheduled to discuss conditions of his release.
Brigo Garcia has pleaded not guilty. A warning from the Department of Homeland Security about illegal immigrants from Iran. Fox's Mike Emanuel in Washington. Customs and border protection sources tell Fox News nearly half of the Iranian nationals who crossed the border illegally during the Biden administration were released into the U.S. Border Patrol arrested 1,504 Iranian nationals at our southern border from fiscal year 2021 through 2024.
729 of them were released into the U.S. Iranians are considered special interest aliens due to national security concerns and are supposed to receive enhanced vetting by DHS. Now officials are worried about an Iranian threat to the homeland. Homeland Security sent out a bulletin warning of a heightened threat environment and low-level cyber attacks.
DHS also says violent extremist attacks could be possible if Iranian leadership issues a decree to attack.
A search resuming for two people missing after a boat capsized. California's Lake Tahoe, six people are confirmed dead. The Coast Guard and the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office responding to calls of people being in the water at Bliss State Park on Saturday. Two people were rescued and taken to hospitals. Officials say there were winds up to 30 knots when the boat flipped.
The AAA says gas prices are up. A week ago, the average for a gallon of regular was $3.13. This week, it's $3.22. The most expensive gas is on the West Coast, especially in California. The cheapest prices can be found on the Gulf Coast.
