The House meets the deadline, but what about the Senate? I'm Tom Rigotti, Fox News. A stopgap funding bill on its way to the Senate now after being approved by the House, but there could still be a government shutdown. Fox's Chad Pergram breaks it all down from Capitol Hill. The House of Representatives vote was 366 to 34. There were no Democratic no's and there were 34 Republican no's. Jasmine Crockett, who is a Democrat from Texas, she voted present.

Now, this new bill, as you called it, the 3.0 bill was 118 pages. It renews funding for all government programs at the present levels through March 14th. It renews the farm bill for a year. There is also an emergency agriculture provision in this emergency spending for farm programs and one hundred and ten billion dollars in disaster relief. That goes to Florida and North Carolina after the hurricanes this fall. So

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says he's optimistic about the legislation passing.

A deadly incident as Germans celebrate Christmas at a market in the eastern part of the country as a car crashes into revelers. Fox's Alex Hogan reports. We're learning more about the victims of Magdeburg, including two who have been confirmed dead. One of them was a small child. Police have one person in custody with the regional governor saying that this was a man in his 50s who was a doctor from Saudi Arabia who had been living in the country for

the better half of the last two decades. The regional governor is saying that this was an isolated event, that there should be no further attacks. That is not stopping other Christmas markets tonight from closing as people are scared of what potentially could happen in other places. Despite that, German officials say this perpetrator acted alone, but we know that as many as 68 other people are wounded and that 15 of them have serious conditions.

German officials warn the number of those killed could continue to rise. America's listening to Fox News.

The suspect in the fatal shooting of a UnitedHealthcare CEO could potentially face the death penalty. Luigi Mangione is now facing federal as well as state charges. Mangione is over at a federal lockup in Brooklyn, New York. It's the same facility that Sean P. Diddy Combs is in, as we've been covering that case. So a lot going on in New York when it comes to crime.

Mangione could be leaving that federal lockup and coming back to court any day as we wait for that federal indictment. As we talk about this case, there are a lot of charges for federal charges. He's facing stalking, murder and having a gun with a silencer. But it's this federal charge that's making headlines. Murder through use of a firearm. Why? Because it means Mangione could face the death penalty. So that's the one people are talking about here. The 26 year old facing nearly a dozen state charges, including first degree murder.

Mangione's legal team says these different cases conflict with each other, but they didn't have much else to say when they came out of court. That's Fox's Alexis McAdams.
