The same people behind the Women's March eight years ago after President Trump was inaugurated for his first term are back with the People's March.
Thousands are expected to join in the demonstration down 17th Street to the Lincoln Memorial. Demonstrators can start, however, at one of three locations to begin their march. For example, Franklin Park is the starting point for activists who are demonstrating over women's reproductive rights and LGBTQ issues. One of the organizers said Saturday's event is part of a long-term resistance strategy against President Trump's agenda with what she said is a focus on immigration, abortion and racial justice.

TikTok losing a legal battle as it now faces a possible ban in the U.S., but it's not clear how that ban could or would be enforced. The Supreme Court delivering a major blow to TikTok by upholding a law that could ban the popular social media app.
The bipartisan law set to take effect Sunday requires TikTok's China-based parent company to sell the app or shut down. President Biden says he will not enforce the ban during his final day in office, but TikTok warns it will go dark for its 170 million U.S. users without clear assurance the law will not enforce. And the TikTok CEO will attend his swearing in. The city of Chicago pushing back against President-elect Trump's plan to start mass deportations beginning there on Tuesday. The president-elect is planning raids next week after he's sworn in on Monday. The Chicago Police Department is issuing a statement saying the department does not document immigration status and does not share information with federal immigration authorities.
Fox Meantime has obtained flyers that are being distributed in Chicago's Latino neighborhoods from the City Council's Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights. The flyers aim to inform immigrants of their legal rights and how to interact with ICE agents if their homes are targeted.
