They're voting now at the Senate. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News, to consider Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Health and Human Services Secretary. My colleagues on the other side of the aisle, I implore you, think one last, one more time, one last time.

about this vote. Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer warning against confirming a wildly unqualified conspiracy theorist to trust with one of the most life or death jobs. But Kennedy has Republican support. Senator Mike Crapo said before the vote. Contrary to the attacks that have constantly been made on him, he has made it very clear that he will support safe

vaccinations and just wants to see that the research on them is done and done well. Also right now, a Senate committee is questioning Education Secretary nominee Linda McMahon at her confirmation hearing. And the Judiciary Committee is considering another Trump nominee Democrats don't support. Kash Patel for FBI Director. Senator Dick Durbin says... He has neither the experience...

the judgment, nor the temperament to lead the FBI. But Republicans are expected to vote to advance Patel's nomination for full Senate consideration later. As Democrats continue to push back on the president's push to cut the federal workforce and slash spending. At a House hearing this morning into the president's cutbacks at the U.S. Agency for International Development, Congressman Gregory Meeks said... The American people deserve to have their elected representatives question the administration...

about the decision to shut down a government agency established in law by Congress. We don't have a king. Democrats also call Elon Musk's actions, leaving the Department of Government Efficiency illegal. Musk told a World Government Summit in Dubai in a video call, he thinks some agencies will have to be eliminated entirely. It's really part of him behind it.

It's easy. It's kind of like leaving a weed. If you don't remove the roots of the weed, then it's easy for the weed to grow back. America's listening to Fox News. I'm Ben Domenech, Fox News contributor, editor-at-large of The Spectator, and editor of the Transom.com daily newsletter. I'm inviting you to join in-depth conversations every week on the Ben Domenech Podcast. Listen and follow now at foxnewspodcast.com.

Back to Elon Musk. As he works to cut the federal budget for the president, he is spending a lot of money that's going to a Trump bank account. Social media platform X has agreed to pay about $10 million to settle a lawsuit with President Donald Trump, who'd sued after his account was suspended in 2021 in the wake of the Capitol riot.

The company, then known as Twitter, had argued his inflammatory posts could lead to more violence. Mr. Trump sued, claiming Twitter and other tech firms that had removed his account had wrongfully censored him. Elon Musk, now ex's owner and close advisor to the president, had reinstated the Trump account shortly after acquiring the company in 2022. Meta last month agreed to pay roughly $25 million to resolve a Trump lawsuit,

claiming a Facebook ban violated his First Amendment right to free speech. Lillian Wu, Fox News. President Trump calls this a big day. He's later going to announce more tariffs, ones he calls reciprocal, targeting countries that have tariffs on American exports. We get another update on inflation this morning, and like yesterday's consumer price report showing inflation continuing to creep up at that area, they're going up at the wholesale level too. The producer price index, which measures inflation before it

reaches consumers rose three and a half percent for the year ending in January, more than expected, and an increase from December. Core inflation on an annual basis also rose more than predicted to a 3.6 percent pace. The monthly increase was also hotter than forecast, increasing three-tenths of a percent. That's Fox's Jeanne Casola. We also got another report this morning that shows

A slight decline last week in first-time unemployment claims down to 213,000. And the number of Americans continuing to collect jobless benefits dropped. There are gains at the stock market. The Dow is rising 99 points. The Nasdaq is surging up 207.

I'm Dave Anthony and this is Fox News. I'm Emily Campagno, host of the Fox True Crime podcast. This week, author and criminal justice reform advocate Toby Doerr joins me to discuss how she smuggled the man she loved out of prison. Listen and follow now at foxtruecrime.com.
