A time out for now. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News. India and Pakistan agreeing to a ceasefire following U.S.-led talks to one of the most serious military confrontation between the nuclear-armed rivals in decades. That ceasefire deal following weeks of clashes, missile and drone strikes across their borders, triggered first by a gun massacre of tourists last month that India blames on Pakistan, Pakistan denying those charges.

U.S. officials meeting with their counterparts from China in a neutral location today to talk trade. There's little expectation that a full trade resolution is going to come out of this meeting. U.S. officials see it, though, as a step toward economic de-escalation. These talks are taking place in Switzerland, where Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and U.S. Trade Rep Jameson Greer are now.

President Trump's saying he's not going to be disappointed if they return from those talks with China without a deal. Well, tariffs on China remain at 145 percent, which is a historic high. The president had maintained that he wasn't going to budge on that number, but added he's willing to go to 80 percent. In addition to the 65 students suspended, 33 people who participated in the takeover have been banned from campus. The suspensions are considered interim. The university says how long they'll last will be determined by an ongoing investigation.

About 80 people were arrested for the protest, mostly on trespassing charges. In New York, Gary Baumgarten, Fox News. The White House says President Trump is looking to ease regulations on homeowners and small businesses. President Trump signed a series of disapproval resolutions from Congress that overturn regulations put in place in the final days of the Biden administration. And we're changing them back so that we can lead a normal life, a good life, and

and they're actually very important. The resolutions rescind stricter energy standards for gas-fired heaters, industrial-sized freezers, and home appliances. Republicans complained those regulations were costly and ineffective for small business owners and factories.

Executive orders signed by the president have also aimed to roll back existing regulations for energy production and mining and removing diversity requirements from federal contract rules.
